A.N
I was supposed to be working on Falling for the Unknown this week but after the backlash I received from the last chapter I felt it was important to get this chapter out because people have gone BAT SHIT CRAZY over a two second conversation about Donald Trump and now my story is 'ruined'.
As I said in the A.N I posted the other day (which i have now removed). This WILL NOT turn into a political story – it was simply a PASSING COMMENT from a three-year-old after I saw something in the news about Trump and thought it would be funny – especially coming from Lily-Rose. And a smartass comment from Elliot because that's just Elliot. However, due to the amount of backlash I have received I have gone back and edited the chapter. Feel free to re-read if you want.
If you think the story is 'ruined' because of a simple two second conversation then I suggest you seriously stop reading. You've missed the point of the chapter. Sure, I didn't need to add that particular section in but as someone who works with children and have done for a very long time – children can change from topic to topic in a nano second.
If I have offended you then I am sorry but it was meant to be a bit of fun.
If you don't want to read anymore then crack on, but refrain from hurling abuse at me. Thanks.
For those who are showing the love – thank you. Love you guys. And thank you to every one who wished me well for my interview I GOT THE JOB! :D
Also, for those who have sent reviews about chapter 11 beforehand – don't worry it was just an A.N, wasn't anything to worry about 😊
Hope you enjoy this one
Much Love

Closing his laptop, a small yawn passed Christian's lips as he rubbed his eyes a little before checking the time on his phone. He had a few minutes before he would be taking Lily-Rose off Luke's hands. This morning when he got up…it was the best feeling in the world. Waking up with Lily-Rose and Ana beside him was an incredible feeling. Lily-Rose was curled into him with her unicorn, getting as close as she could to him while Ana just looked like an angel. He found it so hard to get out of bed. He wanted to stay there all day with them but as soon as Lily-Rose's eyes opened she was like a bottle of pop and on the move and talking all about their sleepover. He had reluctantly left after breakfast but he knew that Ana had a bust day ahead of her and he knew he had to get some work done this morning.
Getting up from the chair he slipped his laptop back into his laptop bag before he then stretched up. He had eventually managed to sort this deal with Callahan and got the price that he wanted in the first place instead of the pathetic offer Callahan offered him. He now had to go back to Seattle to sort out the finer details. He had spoken to Ana about it and he planned on going back tomorrow and being back in California the following day. He didn't want to be away from his girls too long.
Slipping his phone into his pocket he grabbed his room key before leaving his room and heading next door and giving the door a knock.
"Daddy!"
Christian couldn't help but laugh hearing his daughter from the other side. As Luke opened the door he smiled. "Hey."
"Thank god!" Luke grumbled as he pointed to his niece. "What the hell did you two feed her last night? She's been in this sugar rush all frickin' day! She hasn't even napped! I haven't even been able to have a hot cup of coffee. She's had me running ragged!"
Christian laughed as he caught his daughter as she ran over to him and bought her up onto his hip and kissed her head before looking to Luke. "Just popcorn and a hot chocolate." He shrugged. "She slept like a baby all night."
"Well since Ana left, she's been non-stop." He huffed. "Are you having her in here or your room?"
"Is here okay? It'll probably be easier with all her stuff here…"
Luke nodded. "Sure, that's cool. I have to head out for an hour or so."
Christian smirked. "Anywhere interesting?"
Luke rolled his eyes. "You are as bad as my sister. I'm meeting a friend for coffee." He simply told him. "And that's all you are getting."
"Can I at least know her name?" He mused with a smile to him.
"No." Luke laughed as he gathered his stuff up before he poked Lily-Rose's tummy. "Now you be good for your dad. Your mom will be back up as soon as all her meetings are done." He told her before looking to Christian. "She hasn't had lunch yet. She's been picking at fruit and snacks most of the morning."
"That's probably why she's been hyper for most of the morning." Christian laughed before he smiled to Lily-Rose. "We'll sort something won't we baby?"
Lily-Rose nodded. "Yep!" Grinning she then happily snuggled into dad, waving to Luke as he left the suite.
Shutting the door after Luke, Christian then looked to his daughter. "So, what are we going to do?"
Letting a yawn pass her lips she shrugged a little. "Cans we watch something on the telly?"
"Course we can." He smiled and headed over to the couch and sat down, holding her close to him he turned the television on. "What do you want on?" He then asked looking down to her.
"Urm The Swan Princess?" She asked looking to him.
Christian gave a little nod as he searched for it on Netflix before he pressed play. Getting comfy he then looked down to Lily-Rose who had pulled her unicorn teddy from beside her and snuggled into his side, clutching onto it tightly. Smiling to himself he rested his head back on the sofa before he happily watched the film with his daughter. As she started singing, he couldn't help but smile. He loved how she knew all the words to everything that they watched. She might only be three and maybe he was being bias but he thought she did have a lovely voice. Pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head he watched the film unfold in front of him.
Noticing that Lily-Rose was quiet, he looked down to her and smiled seeing she had fallen asleep. Looking to the clock, he saw that it had just gone one thirty. Moving to lay Lily-Rose down on the sofa, he secured her with the pillows so she wouldn't end up rolling off the sofa before heading to the kitchen area, deciding to make Lily-Rose a little lunch in case she woke up hungry. Grabbing her little plate, he then cut up some cucumber, carrot, peppers and some cheese along with some small slices of smoked salmon. He guessed from all the fruit she had been snacking on that was part of her sugar rush. He had watched a load of videos on YouTube on healthy snacks and he had gotten to know his daughter and what she liked. He was surprised on how much sugar was actually in fruit. Sure, they were natural sugars but he guessed too much wasn't good for her. Though he did like the fact that she did eat most foods! Putting the plate back into the fridge to keep cool he then made up a jug of juice and got her cup ready before he smiled to himself. This felt so good right now. He loved how he was actively playing a part in his daughter's life. He was providing for her, even if it was something as simple as a snack.
As his phone went off in his pocket, he pulled it out and smiled seeing it was a message from Ana.
From: Ana
To: Christian
Hey, is everything okay? Is she behaving? Luke said she's been quite hyper Xx
From: Christian
To: Ana
She's been good as gold. She's currently sleeping, think the sugar rush wore off. I've just prepped a little snack for her when she wakes up. Don't work too hard we will see you later xx
From: Ana
To: Christian
Okay, give her a kiss from me xx
From: Christian
To: Ana
What about my kiss? Xx
From: Ana
To: Christian
You can have it when I get in xx
Christian couldn't help but smirk at her message before he put his phone away as he saw movement on the couch. Heading over he smiled as he saw Lily-Rose's eyes begin to flutter open. Kneeling down in front of her he smiled as her eyes met his. "Hey princess, did you have a nice nap?"
Lily-Rose nodded as she rubbed her eyes a little. "Yes daddy." She mumbled as a little yawn left her little lips before she looked to him once more. "Is mommy home?"
"Not yet." He smiled. "We've still got lots of fun things to do before mommy gets home but first, how would you like a little snack?"
"Otay but I needs a potty first." She told him as she rolled off the couch and toddled down to the bathroom.
Christian nodded as he watched her go before, he then followed her in case she needed him. "I'll just be outside here okay princess?"
"Otay daddy." She called back to him from the bathroom.
Christian couldn't help but smile before he then looked down as Lily-Rose appeared.
"All done?"
Lily-Rose nodded. "Ands I washed my handsies." She told him waving her hands in front of him.
"Good girl." He smiled as he popped into the bathroom and cleaned out her potty and quickly washed his hands before he headed back to Lily-Rose and smiled. "Shall we have snacks at the table or on the couch?"
"Urm cans we have it on the couch? And watch another film?" She asked battering her eyelashes at him.
Christian couldn't help but smile. "Sure. Go sit down and decided what film you want and I'll go get your plate and juice."
"Otay!" She beamed running back to the couch, climbing back on she grabbed her unicorn and made sure that it was sat next to her before she waited patiently for Christian.
Christian smiled as he headed over to the kitchen and into the fridge. Grabbing her plate, he then poured her a drink before he took them over to her. Sitting down next to her he put her juice on the coffee table before passing her the plate. "What we going to watch baby?" He then asked picking up the remote and looked down to his daughter.
"Urm cans we watch Moana?" She asked looking to him.
"Sure." He smiled and searched the television. He loved how she always wanted to watch something different. Sure, they were all Disney or princess related but he wouldn't change it for the world. Finding the film, he put it on before he smiled and looked down to her and saw she was happily munching away on her snacks while her eyes were fixated on the television.
"Finished daddy." Lily-Rose declared as she passed him her now empty plate. "That was delicious." She told him with a smile.
"I'm glad you liked it." He told her with a smile. "What shall we do when Moana finishes?"
"Cans we colour and do jigsaws?" She asked to him.
"Of course, we can. Do you like jigsaws?"
Lily-Rose nodded. "Gwandpa does them all the time with me. My favourite is the one with all the Disney pwincesses but I needs lots of help sometimes cause it's really for big, big girls and I'm only a big girl."
"Well I will give you lots of help if you need it." He promised with a smile.
"Daddy?"
"Yes baby?"
"I don't wants you to go back to your house in Seattles. I wants you to live here with me and mommy and uncle Lukey." She told him playing with her little fingers slightly, something Christian had noticed she does when she's a little nervous.
Christian kissed her head. "I'll always be here for you. Daddy has a very important job but I'm going to sort everything okay? I will have to go back to Seattle for one sleep, but when you wake up, I'll be back I promise."
"Whens?"
"I have to go back tomorrow after lunch time but remember when you wake up the next day I will be back."
"Are we going to live in a house?" She then asked looking up to him.
"I'm going to look for a house." He told her with a smile. "What should our house have?"
"A garden." Lily-Rose told him without hesitation.
"You want a garden?" He asked looking to her.
Lily-Rose nodded. "I wants a nice big garden where I can do lots of playing and lots of running."
Christian smiled. "I'll see what I can do." He promised down to her.
Lily-Rose climbed onto her father's lap and moved her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. "Love you daddy."
Moving his arms around her tightly he kissed her head. "I love you too princess. So much." He whispered to her before he smiled. "Shall we go and have some fun?"
"Ins a minute. I just want to cuddle." She told him snuggling into him more.
Christian couldn't help but smile. "We can cuddle for as long as you want." He whispered as he gently rubbed her back. He knew these were moments that needed to be treasured and he was treasuring every second with her, especially knowing tomorrow he had to head back to Seattle to finish this deal. It was annoying but it was just tying up loose ends.
"Otay lets go play. I'll go get my jigsaw!" She told him as she climbed down and ran off to her toy corner and looked through for her jigsaw. Finding it she the toddled over to her dad and put it on the table. "Look daddy. That's Cinderella, that's Ariel, that's Snow White, that's Aurora and that's Belle!" She beamed pointing to all the princesses before she opened the lid and smiled to her father.
Christian couldn't help but smile down to her as he got down on the floor, clearing the coffee table he then took the plastic bag out of the box and tipped the puzzle out. "Shall we find all the edges first?" He then asked looking to her.
Lily-Rose nodded. "Gwandpa normally does the edges for me first." She happily told him.
"Well I need your help. Is that okay?"
"Of course I will daddy." She told him with a smile as she then happily began to hunt through the puzzle pieces to find the ones they needed.
Christian smiled down to her before he happily began searching with his daughter. Once they had found all the edges, he then began to assemble the edges for her. Once that was completed, he then looked down to her. "So which princess shall we work on first?" He then asked curiously to her.
"Ariel!" Lily-Rose beamed to him. "I wish I was a mermaid."
"Yeah? Why's that?"
"Because thens I could swims all over the world whenevers I wanted." She told him with a little shrug.
Christian laughed and shook his head before they carried on with the puzzle, happily chatting away with Lily-Rose as they worked on it. He loved being so hands on with her.
A yawn passing her lips, Ana came into the suite a frown forming as she was met with silence. Well apart from the television.
Quietly closing the door she could see Christian's legs dangling over the edge of the couch. Heading over she peaked over and she couldn't help but smile. They were both fast asleep. Lily-Rose was sleeping on top of Christian, holding onto her unicorn teddy tightly while Christian had his one hand protectively on Lily-Rose's back to keep her secure. She could see they were working on her puzzle. Although it wasn't completed, they did have a good go at it! Taking her phone out she happily snapped pictures of them. She hadn't told him but she was working on something special for him and she couldn't wait to get it finished. Putting her phone away she then knelt down in front of them and gently stroked Lily-Rose's cheek. She didn't know how long she had been asleep and she knew if she slept any longer that they would have a very hyper three-year-old.
"Christian." Ana whispered as she gently tapped Christian's shoulder before stroking Lily-Rose's cheek some more. "Wake up baby." She whispered to her.
Eyes fluttering open, Christian looked to Ana and smiled tiredly. "Hey…" He mumbled before he then looked to Lily-Rose as she started to fidget on top of him.
"Nos mommy." Lily-Rose grumbled turning her face away from her mother.
Ana couldn't help but chuckle as she gently tickled her daughter's side until she heard little giggles coming from her.
"Mommy!" Laughed Lily-Rose as she turned to look at her. "Why's you waked us?" She asked with a pout.
Ana pouted back. "Because if you sleep any longer you won't sleep tonight." She told her with a roll of her eyes. "And if you are up all night then you'll end up sleeping all day tomorrow and you won't be able to say goodbye to daddy tomorrow because you'll be busy sleeping." She told her. When Christian had told her this morning, he had to pop back to Seattle tomorrow a part of her sunk fearing that he would his change his mind and not want to come back but he could sense the fear in her voice and he promised he'd be back the following day. She felt like she was disturbing a lot of his life but he had reassured her that all that mattered to him was Lily-Rose and her. He even told her he was going to start looking for houses. He was determined to be in their lives and she couldn't help but fall deeper in love with him.
"Otays." Lily-Rose sighed as she got up, smiling down to Christian. "Hi daddy."
Christian smiled. "Hi." He smiled. "Did you have a nice nap like I did?"
Lily-Rose nodded. "Yep." Snuggling into him she then frowned. "Where's uncle Lukey?" She asked with a frown.
"I don't know, he must still be out. What would you like for dinner?" She then asked looking to her.
"Chicken nuggets." She responded to her.
"Nice and easy." She smiled to her before looking to Christian. "I have some lamb steaks in the fridge, care to join us?"
"Sounds good to me." Christian smiled to her before he kissed Lily-Rose's head. "Jump up princess, daddy needs the bathroom."
Rolling off her dad, Lily-Rose grabbed her unicorn before pointing to the jigsaw. "Look mommy." She beamed with a grin. "Me and daddy started doing this."
"Wow baby." Ana gasped as she looked down to the jigsaw while Christian went off to the bathroom. "You did such a good job."
"We's going to finish it later." She told her with a firm nod.
"Okay well I'm going to start dinner; you sit down with unicorn and watch some television."
"Otay mommy." Lily-Rose chimed as she climbed onto the sofa with her teddy and cuddled him close as Ana put on Frozen for her.
Ana smiled down to her before heading to the kitchen and started sorting out their food. She would put up an extra plate for Luke just in case he came home while they were eating.
"Need any help?" Christian asked as he moved over to Ana and pressed a soft kiss to her neck.
Ana smiled and shook her head as she leaned into him slightly. "No, I'm good. It's just oven stuff. I'll whip a salad up when everything is nearly ready."
"How was work?"
"Ugh hard work. We had some company boss in on a virtual call but he kept losing his connection so everything took longer than needed to be."
"At least you are home now." He whispered with a smile as he moved his arm around her waist and gently pulled her to him. "We missed you."
"I missed you to." She whispered to him before she turned around in his arms. "You two must have had a lot of fun if you were both fast asleep."
Christian laughed. "It's weird on how…mentally exhausting a jigsaw is."
Ana smiled. "Welcome to her world." She laughed and stole a kiss of him before turning and grabbing the trays and popping them into the over. "Fries or jacket potato?" She then asked him.
"Whatever is easier." He told her kissing her back.
Ana smiled and gave a nod as she grabbed a bag of fries and put them on a baking tray before putting it in the oven. "I feel lazy today. Normally I'd make sure the meal is healthy but this is easier." She laughed and smiled to him.
Pulling Ana to him he kissed her head. "Nothing wrong with a lazy day. Hey if you had said I would have ordered takeout for us."
"We will save that for when you come back." She smiled before she looked to Lily-Rose then to Christian. "Did you tell her?" She asked. They thought it would be best if Christian told her.
Christian nodded. "I did. She took it…well. She actually bought it up. She said she didn't want me to go back to Seattle and that's when I told her. I told her about looking for a house. She said it has to have a garden."
Ana listened to him before she smiled and nodded. "She's always wanted a garden. At first living in the hotel was a dream. I was working, she was here I knew where she was…but she's getting older, she needs the outdoor space. I know Luke takes her to the park…but with all the kids there…she'd rather her own space."
"I'll look into it." He promised with a kiss to her head.
Ana smiled and nodded as she moved her arms around him and hugged him tightly. "It's going to be the longest twenty-four hours with you gone."
"I know. I'm going to miss you both like crazy." He whispered as he kissed her head. "But I'll be back before you know it." He promised her as he smiled down her. "I know we are still taking things slow…but Ana…I can't wait for our future. All I see in my future is you and Lily-Rose in a big beautiful house with the garden of Lily-Rose's dreams."
Ana couldn't help but smile and nodded to him. "It sounds like a pretty good future." And it was. She had dreamt of the perfect family life and now with Christian here…it was the most realistic dream she could think of. They could be a family. They were going to be a family.
