Chapter 2: The Day After Destiny!

As the police were escorting the unconscious robbers to a hospital as well as checking on the hostages to make sure that they were alright. Outside and behind the museum, Lincoln, after making sure that he was completely alone, took the helmet off his as the armor disappeared from his body.

"Whoa, what the heck was that?" Lincoln asked the helmet.

"That was the power of the helmet of Ares." The helmet said. "Well, a few of them anyway."

"There's more." Lincoln asked. "Goodness, what have I gotten myself into these shenanigans with stakes this high?"

"If you hadn't put me on most of your loved ones would be either seriously hurt or worse, dead." The helmet pointed out.

Letting out a sigh, Lincoln says. "Okay, that's true. I just wished it didn't have to be me to use it."

"You were chosen, Lincoln. If anyone else unworthy were to wear it, it would cause them intense amounts of pain until it's taken off or worse kill them instantly." The helmet revealed.

"Wow, you gods are extreme!" Lincoln said as his eyes widened in shock.

"Tell me about it." The helmet said. "I think it's best you take me home once you're done with your mortal education. Better to be with someone often overlooked as you then in a museum that'll just get robbed."

"Hey!" Lincoln said feeling a bit insulted. "I resent that remark!"

"Sorry, just calling it as I see it." The helmet said, not actually feeling sorry.

"Do you have a name?" Lincoln asked the helmet.

"Not really? I wasn't given one by any of my previous wearers." The helmet said in a rather sadden tone.

Lincoln thought for a moment before an idea came to him.

"How about: Omega?" Lincoln asked.

"Omega?" The helmet asked.

"Yeah, you're a generational object right. You must've live for a very long time time, and you're insanely powerful I figured you must be named something awesome, right?"

"I have, yes. I get what you're saying. I like it." The helmet said.

"Alright, Omega it is." Lincoln said with a smile.

Suddenly, Lincoln remembered something.

"Oh no, the field trip!" The white haired hero said as he stuffed the helmet into his backpack. "My sisters must be worried sick about me! Hilda and the others must be searching the place for me."

Rushing back to the museum, but being stealthy about it. Lincoln quickly peeked around a corner and saw some police officers talking to his sisters and his teacher, who hadn't noticed him.

But Dexter did noticed and quietly gestured him over to him where Hilda, Sunset and Jack were with the boy genius as well.

The minute Lincoln walked over, Hilda embraced him with tears in her eyes.

"Lincoln, you're okay." She whispered gently. "Thank goodness."

Lincoln, though blushing at the adventurer hugging him, could just hear Omega saying in his head. "She's a keeper, isn't she Lincoln?"

"Not. A single. Word, Omega." Lincoln demanded in his head as he hugged her back with a smile.

"You should go to your sisters, Lincoln." Dexter told him. "They're worried for you."

Lincoln nodded as he ran to his older sisters. Once Leni saw him, she immediately jumped and ran up to her little brother and picked him up in a hug.

"Linky, you're okay!" The ditzy blonde said hugging the white haired boy even tighter.

Luna also joined in the hug, asking. "Where did you go, dude?"

"Yeah, when we saw the robbers come in and the mysterious hero showed up, you were no where to be found." Luan said, also hugging her little brother as tears when down her face.

"Sorry to worry you guys, I was in the bathroom." Lincoln said after immediately thinking up a lie, even tough it hurt him inside.

"Really, when all that cool stuff was happening?" Leni said.

"Yeah." Lincoln said immediately as he shrugged his shoulders.

Luna and Luan quickly knew he was lying, but they chose not to call him out on this. But Leni didn't as she was too naïve to realize it. As much as it hurt him on the inside to lie, Lincoln knew deep down that they wouldn't believe him even if he had told them.

So they decided to just let Lincoln have this.

Until he was ready to tell them the truth.

In a house in Royal Woods...

After the school day was over, Hilda walked back to her house in Royal Woods, she opened her door. A few seconds afterward, she was immediately scooped up by her mother. A woman wearing a yellow jacket, a dark red shirt, brown pants and white sneakers.

"Hilda, oh thank GOD that you're alright!" Her mother, Johanna said as she embraced her daughter like she was going to disappear if she didn't. "I heard about what happened at the museum because the school called me! I'm so glad you're safe."

"I'm so sorry to worry you, Mum." The adventurer said as she hugged her back. "I'm just glad that I'm back. Aside from the robbery, today was exhausting."

"Considering what you and your class went through, anyone would be exhausted after that." Johanna said, trying to lighten the mood a bit as she released her daughter from their hug.

"Well... you're not wrong there." The haired girl said as she giggled a bit. "Anyways, you should thank that mysterious hero who showed up at the museum."

"Well, if I see that mysterious hero, I'll be sure to thank him." Johanna said as she giggled too.

The giggling so turned into full blown laughter from both females which went on for two minutes as they embraced each other as tears streamed down both of their faces as soon as it stopped.

"I don't know what I would do if I lost you, sweetie." The graphic designer whispered into her daughter's ear.

"You don't have to worry about me, I'm an adventurer remember?" Hilda said as she continued to embrace her mother.

The two sat in silence as they continued to embrace each other, happy that they were both safe and sound in their house.

At night after dinner and a game of Dragon Panic with her mother, Hilda walked upstairs to her room.

After petting her deer fox Twig and saying goodnight to an ancient thunder bird named Raven and her tiny elf friend named Alfur, Hilda got into bed and closed her eyes.

In her dream, Hilda was back in her old town called Trollberg walking down a sidewalk with her two best friends, Frida and David on another adventure.

Suddenly, the whole place froze, even the people looked like they were frozen in time.

Everyone that is, except Hilda.

"What in the world?" Hilda asked.

Suddenly, a portal that was made of red fire appeared in front of the blue haired adventurer, making her cover her face from the rather intense heat. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and they widened in shock.

What she saw was a different world, it was full of giant, almost animal like demon sorcerers.

One was a demonic version of a male dragon.

Another demon looked like a giant, green blob monster with red eyes, yellow lumps on her body, big red lips, and purple hair.

The third one was a giant demonic grey frog that was wearing several dark blue clothing (boots and gaunts), and has golden bony armor covering his back and head.

The fourth one looked like a giant blue reptile wearing black armor with yellow outlines.

The fifth demon looked like a four-armed, black-haired, gray-skinned humanoid demon with insect-like traits, a long tongue sticking out, a long ponytail, and a red and purple outfit reminiscent of a Chinese nobleman.

The sixth demon was a big, brown skinned, Minotaur like creature with the face of a Shisa, large green horns, red eyes and a muscular body.

The seventh one was a giant, dragon like monstrosity that was human-sized black-skinned demon with wings.

The eighth and final one was a demon that resembles a demonic mermaid/gorgon hybrid with tentacles for hair.

"Blue haired one." the demonic mountain like blob creature said in a demonic voice. "Your destiny will come soon."

"Destiny?" Hilda said in confusion. "What destiny?"

"You will know soon enough Blue haired one, you will know?" The being said before vanishing.

"Wait!" Hilda cried out in distress as she tried to grab onto him.

But it was too late as the world unfroze.

As Hilda continued walking, she wondered what the heck just happened.

Meanwhile at Dexter's house...

Dexter walked into his house where he was scooped into a group hug from his parents and his older sister Dee-Dee.

"Dexter, we're so glad that you're okay." His mom said.

"I am so glad you're safe, son." His dad said.

"You heard about what happened." The boy genius asked in surprise.

"Yeah, the school called mom and dad, and they told me when I got home." Dee Dee said.

"I apologize for worrying you all." Dexter said as he embraced his family.

"There's nothing you need to apologize for." His mother said. "We're just glad you're okay."

"So am I, mother." Dexter said as his family released him. "So am I."

At night, Dexter was in his bed fast asleep after eating a good dinner after the day of almost dying at the museum.

In his dream, Dexter was in college about to accept his degree in science as his friends and family were cheering him on.

As he grabbed a hold of his diploma. Out of nowhere, time froze including everyone accept him.

"What in the world?" Dexter asked.

"I apologize for interfering with your dream but I need to talk to you."

Looking up, the boy genus saw what appeared to be a rather five titans of different colors descending down to his level.

"Who might you be?" Dexter couldn't help but wonder.

"We are the spirits of the elements." The spirit in red said. "I'm pretty sure you can guess what kind of element we are due to our color scheme."

"Yes I can." Dexter said confidently. "Fire, Earth, Rain, Wind and Thunder, correct?"

"Correct! Give the kid a prize!" The earth spirit said jokingly.

"Getting back on topic," The water spirit said. "We've watched you for a while now and we came to let you know that one day, your destiny will come soon."

"And they will involve all of us in said destiny." The wind spirit said.

"So you best be prepared for when that day come, young genius." The fire spirit said as he and the other spirits began to disappear. "Cause you're going to need our assistance as well as the assistance of those new friends you've made."

Before Dexter could ask anymore, the spirits disappeared as a flash of white and blinding light engulfed the dream world.

Meanwhile at Sunset's house...

Once Sunset got home, she immediately started on her homework. Once that was done, she was physically and mentally exhausted as she sat down on the couch after the stressful day she had at the museum. Just so much happened at once. She met the Loud sister's younger brother as well as his friends Dexter and Hilda. She watched the Loud boy become Grimace for the first time. She nearly became a casualty in a robbery attempt at the museum alongside Lincoln's class, his sisters, Hilda, Dexter and Jack and got saved as well all in the same day.

"I wonder if I'm going to get one of those power granting artifacts as well." Sunset said to herself. "But what are the odds of that happening?"

Deciding to take a nap, Sunset grabbed a pillow as well as a blanket in order to keep herself warm as put her head down on the pillow, closing her eyes almost instantly.

In the dream world, Sunset was outside on a stage, in front of her fellow graduates as they were all going to graduate high school and set out into the world as whatever they wished to be.

The principal was about hand Sunset her diploma when suddenly all of time had stopped.

"Huh?" Sunset said as she waved a hand in front of the principal's face, hoping to get a reaction out of him.

But he was frozen in place, along with everyone else.

"What the heck is going on?" Sunset asked as she saw the rainbow above her.

Suddenly, the colors of the rainbow became to change shape.

They all turn in various shapes of animals.

Red turned into a giant bull.

Orange turned into a massive snake.

Green manifested into a giant shark.

Yellow transformed into a big cockroach.

Indigo turned into a giant squid.

Blue turned into a huge dragon.

Pink turns into a knockoff of a legendary Pokemon.

Black manifested into a giant grim reaper.

White manifested into a massive human baby still yet to be born.

"Whoa," was all Sunset could say.

"Young Shimmer." the shark said. "We apologize for interrupting your dream but we've come to you for some of great importance."

"Hold on, who are you guys?" Sunset couldn't help but ask.

"I am Ion, the embodiment of Will." The green shark introduced himself before turning to the other "spirit animals" with him. "The red one is Butcher, the embodiment of Rage. The orange one is Ophidian, the embodiment of Avarice. The yellow one is Parallax, the embodiment of Fear. The black one is Nekron, the embodiment of Death. The blue one is Adara, the embodiment of Hope. The pink one is Predator, the embodiment of Love. And lastly, the white one is Entity, the embodiment of Life. Together, we are the Emotional Spectrum of the universe."

"Okay, and why are you guys here?" Sunset asked as she stepped back a bit.

"We are here because we see your potential due to your strong connection to your many emotions." Adara said.

"Really?" Sunset asked before looking down at herself. "Thank you."

"And we have come to tell you that the day you will achieve your destiny will come soon." Predator said.

"And it will involve all of us in some capacity." Parallax told the teen.

"Wow, I wonder what I will get to channel such power." Sunset wondered.

When she looked back up, the spirit animals were gone, even the rainbow had disappeared as well.

"Destiny awaits for no one." Sunset said to herself as she accepted her diploma as her class cheered her on.

Meanwhile in Jack's mansion...

Jack was fast asleep by the time he got home, collapsing on his couch as he was completely exhausted from the stress inducing day he had.

In the realm of dreams, Jack was at a place he never seen before. It was like the hall of Valhalla. Before he had time to ask where he was. Someone he didn't know about appeared before him.

But something felt... off. Why was this mysterious figure standing in front of him?

"Who are you?" Jack asked in shock as he stepped back feeling a bit intimidated having to be in the presence of this mystery person.

The unknown person step up to him. He was a rather elderly man, gray hair, wrinkles and everything.

"I am Vizud, young Spicer..." The elderly man began. "Your destiny will soon involve using the power of six Gods when you will soon discover a mystical artifact."

"What do you mean destiny?" Spicer asked.

"You will know soon enough young Spicer, when the time time comes." The old man said as he slowly disappeared from the teen's sight.

Once they were gone, all the teen boy could think of was...

"What kind of destiny was that guy talking about?"

The Next Day...

Walking down the stairs, Lincoln peeked and saw his parents watching TV as they saw multiple news reports on the screen as his mother Rita flipped through the channels, all saying the same thing... much to the surprise of her and her husband, Lynn Sr.

"Yesterday, at Royal Woods Museum a groups of robbers attempted to rob it-" a woman with red hair put into a ponytail said.

*CLICK!*

"This just in! Mysterious vigilante wrecks robbers at Royal Woods Museum just yesterday." a Parisian brown haired teen girl said, with a tone of excitement. "If he ever comes to Paris, will he be a match for Ladybug and Cat Noir?!"

*CLICK*

"What a load of garbage. If this Grimace is really a "hero" as everyone says he is. Why didn't he show up in public like a man instead of appearing in the shadows like a coward?!" a mustachioed man said with anger in his tone as he slammed his fist on the desk. "I think a warrant should be put out for his arrest for illegal vigilantism!"

*CLICK*

"I don't trust this guy." a blind woman said bluntly. "With the rise of a hero comes the rise of super-villains. This "Grimace" person is just going to make things worse for everybody in Royal Woods. Just look at what happened yesterday, the only reason he showed up was because those robbers attacking it were after that helmet he was wearing. If he really wanted to protect those innocent people, he should've just given them the helmet instead of wrecking a portion of the museum just to show off!"

As Lincoln watched, for some reason, despite both the praise and criticism he was getting, he couldn't help but smile a bit.

"Wow, I saved all those lives, huh?" Lincoln thought to himself.

"Yeah." The helmet said in his head. "You did good, kid. You did good."

"Wow, this guy is all over the news." Rita said, "A total scam."

As Lincoln made down the stairs, Rita turned to her son as a smile appeared upon seeing her son. "Oh, morning Lincoln."

"Hey, Mom and Dad." Lincoln greeted his parents. "Watching the news?"

"Yeah, all about this "Grimace" guy." Lynn said. "Some say he's a hero while others say he's a menace. Pretty cool, right?"

"Yeah, pretty cool." Lincoln said, struggling to maintain his composure.

Later at Royal Woods Middle School...

In homeroom, the students were all speaking about the same subject. The "Grimace" that saved their lives yesterday.

"That Grimace guy was so cool!" Clyde said excitedly.

"I'm surprised that Royal Woods now has it's very own superhero!" a female student said ecstatic.

"Yeah, those other costumed clowns got nothing on Grimace." said Rusty smugly.

As everyone else were expressing the joy of having a hero to protect their town, Lincoln, Dexter and Hilda were whispering their conversation so that their fellow students could not hear them.

"You feeling alright, Lincoln?" Dexter whispered. "We didn't see you after... well you know."

"Yeah, where did you go?" Hilda quietly asked.

"I went to the back of the museum and took the helmet off." Lincoln said, his voice low. "Once I put that helmet on, everything else was just a blur. When I woke up, I was back in my bed this morning... with the helmet in my bed."

"So you don't remember anything?" Hilda whispered with a hint of disappointment in her tone.

"No I do, it's just that, it's all so new to me." Lincoln whispered. "I was chosen to wield a godly artifact with a multitude of powers. Omega, the name I gave the helmet, told me that they are other objects like out in the world that the guy the robber's boss wants to destroy. I know we just met, but if you guys see anything out of the ordinary, don't let the robbers get it."

The friends than looked at each other in concern.

"Don't worry, my white haired comrade, I will hack into the security of all the Royal Woods museums." Dexter said quietly.

"That's good, thank you." Lincoln said.

"If me and my Mum see anything, I'll explain the situation to her." Hilda said as she saw Lincoln widened his eyes, before he could say anything, Hilda quickly said. "Don't worry, I won't reveal your identity to her unless you want me to."

"Thank you." Lincoln responded quietly as he let out a sigh of relief. "Both of you."

"No need to thank us." Hilda said, quietly. "Just consider me and boy genius here keeping you identity a secret a 'thank you' for yesterday.

Just then, the bell rang, signaling the end of homeroom.

As everyone was getting up and getting their things, they began to walk out of the room.

Lincoln and Hilda were the last ones to leave the room.

"Well, see you later Hilda." Lincoln said, as he was about to leave when Hilda grabbed his hand.

"Wait." The adventurer said with a bit of desperation in her voice.

"What is it?" Lincoln asked curiously as his cheeks turned a bit red at the blue haired girl was holding his hand, which felt warm by the way.

Hilda was blushing a bit as she decided to just do it rather than tell him.

She quickly leaned close to Lincoln's face and planted a quick, but meaningful kiss on his left cheek.

"T-Thanks for s-saving me, Lincoln." Hilda quickly stuttered to him before running down the hallway.

As Lincoln watched the blue haired adventurer running away blushing, it felt like everything was going in slow motion as he laid a hand on his kissed cheek in confusion as his heart was beating profusely.

Until a small smile manifested on his lips. And the smile began to grow until it reached the sides of his face in a big, goofy smile.

Does Hilda like him?

Or did she just love the fact that he saved her life yesterday?

Lincoln felt like he was going to find out sooner or later when he sees her again.

Royal Woods High...

As Leni, Sunset and Jack were walking through the hallway as students were saying things about this new hero that showed up yesterday, something was on the latter's mind so he spoke in a quiet tone.

"Hey, Sunset." The teen said quietly.

"Yeah?" Sunset said, quietly.

"Have you had a weird dream last night?" Jack asked, quietly.

"Weird how?" Sunset whispered.

Jack took a moment to think of how exactly to explain the weirdness of his dream.

Then he got it.

"Well, last night I was in this void of darkness and this voice that I never heard of before was speaking to me about something. Something weird but important."

"Like a mystical artifact?" Sunset whispered. "Cause my dream was about something like that."

"Yeah, exactly that." Jack quickly whispered. "And also something about destiny."

"Yeah, talk about trippy." Sunset whispered. "In my dream, these weird animal that appeared to be made out of energy said they were the embodiment of emotions."

"Somehow, I have this weird feeling that we're going to find out more about this whole "destiny" thing during our time here, Sunny." Jack whispered.

"I feel the same, Jax." Sunset whispered. "I feel the same."

Oh, how right they'll soon be...

Meanwhile, in Japan...

In a Japanese village, a teenage boy known as Jack (or better known as "Samurai Jack) in a white robe and a hat made out of straw was walking through the busy streets as around him, he could hear people talking about you know who.

"I'm surprised he didn't kill those robbers." an elderly woman said.

"Yeah, if I was there. I would've killed all five of those hoodlums." an elderly man said.

"I wonder will happen to them next." a middle aged man questioned.

"I wonder where Grimace will show up next." a young boy questioned in glee.

"What's the Royal Woods Demon going to attack next?" a young girl asked.

"Yes, he did kinda look like demon..." a blind man said. "But not an evil one like we normally see."

As Jack overheard these various comments, he too wondered where this mysterious "Royal Woods Demon" came from and just as importantly...

Why exactly was he here?

Regardless, he felt determined to find out should the beast set his sights on Japan, himself, or his people!

As Jack was thinking on this, he felt like he was going to get those answers as a blue portal manifested beneath him and he screamed as he fell straight through it.

Unknown to the people of Japan, the village was being spied on by someone in a far away place...

"So... the fool is determined to destroy this beast who has the helmet of Ares." A dark, deep voice said as he rubbed his hands together. "I have a feeling that those two won't be the only ones fighting it out." He then turned attention to the town of Royal Woods. "Should be quite the entertainment for me."

He then began to laugh manically as he snapped his fingers...

Meanwhile, in Earth's Orbit...

Space, the final frontier, the place where no one can hear you scream... and that's been explored more times than one can count and so on.

Just then, a mystical blue portal manifested into existence as something, flaming and what appeared to be golden in color was shot out of it.

It took a few moments for whatever came out of the portal to regain its bearings.

Taking a moment to look around, it was some sort of tall, golden robot.

"Where... am I?" the robot spoke.

Looking behind him, he saw the Earth. Noticing it, his eyes glowed green as he scanned the planet.

After the scan, he got his result.

Earth 1749, not Earth 0832.

"Great, first Grundy was impervious to my powers now I get stranded in another universe by another's machinations." The robot said robot-like. "Well, I should check this Earth out to get some answers."

With that, he rocketed towards the planet. Unknown that his arrival won't exactly go unnoticed as he'll soon find out.
