"Mirror mirror on the wall. Who's the prettiest of them all?" Weiss says as she brushes her hair. She looks at herself and smiles. "Why thank you! You're always so honest." She twirls around, checking out her dress for the night. Her family is throwing their usual party where all the wealthy and powerful people of Remnant get together. She hates it, since its true purpose is just to make partnerships with other businesses, but tonight is different. She will be singing for the ceremony. She has been practicing for this moment to show them how talented her performance will be. Not only that, but she has been accepted to study at Beacon Academy to become a Huntress and make a name for herself. There's a knock on her door and the maid walks in.

"Are you ready, Miss Schnee?" She bows.

"Yes. And I told you countless times to call me by my first name." The maid smiles.

"As you wish, Weiss." They both leave the room and make their way to the party. "You look very beautiful, Weiss. I'm sure you'll find a suitor tonight." Weiss looks out the window. The moon hovers brightly in the sky.

"You know I'm not interested in those trivial things."

"I know, but your father is. I've heard he's been trying to get the sons of other families to arrange a date with you." Weiss cringes at the thought. She has rejected the men who wanted to go out with her. She knew their true purpose was to be part of their family fortune.

"I will reject them like I did with the others." The maid gives her a worried look but stays silent.

They enter the ballroom where the party is held. A massive crowd chattering amongst each other, while the servants worked for everyone's needs. Weiss looks around to find her father. She spots him talking with a tall black haired man in a military uniform. She approaches them.

"Weiss! We were just talking about you." Her father says.

"You're Weiss Schnee?" He puts out his hand. "James Ironwood."

"A pleasure to meet you, Mr. Ironwood." She bows courteously.

"Oh! Excuse my manners." He bows back. "It's true. You have a similar resemblance to your sister. Except for the height. But you're still a growing young lady. Who knows? Maybe you'll be taller than her." Him and her father laugh. She hesitantly laughs.

"She has also been training to become a Huntress and bring pride to the Schnee name." Her father says proudly.

"Is that so? I wasn't expecting her to follow in her sister's footsteps." Ironwood says.

"She indeed is! In fact, why don't we show him how much that training paid off?" Her father puts his hand on her shoulder.

"But father, tonight is my performance!"

"Oho. My little Schnee. The night is young! There will still be time for your performance after demonstrating your fighting capabilities to everyone."

"...Fine." Weiss pouts.

"Excellent! Get on the stage, while I make the preparations." He pats her and she goes backstage to prepare for the fight.

It's okay, Weiss. You just have to kill a basic Grimm and you will show the audience the performance of a lifetime. She pumps herself up and steps on the stage. The lights shine on the platform and the crowd cheers by her presence. A giant suit of armor appears and unsheathes its broadsword.

"That's an Arma Gigas! Are you sure she can handle it?" Ironwood asks worryingly.

"There's nothing the Schnee can't handle. See? Weiss is unfazed by its intimidating presence." Her father says. Unbeknownst to him, she is terrified by it and is putting on a brave front.

Why? Why did this happen to my opponent!? I wasn't ready for this! She controls her breathing and pulls out Myrtenaster. "Let's get this over with."

The Gigas swings, but she backflips out of the way and dashes towards it with a pierce attack. Obviously, it does nothing against its thick armor. It swings its blade sideways, but she jumps and activates the ice Dust in her rapier to attack its legs. The strikes cause ice to form on its feet, immobilizing its movements. She switches to electric Dust to strike its body, causing the electricity to course through its body and it grunts in pain. She uses her Semblance to catapult herself to hit its helmet. Foreseeing the attack, it grabs her legs midair and slams her against the floor. It readies his sword, but she rolls out of the way. Once again, she uses her Semblance to catapult and strike its helmet. The helmet detaches itself, revealing a hollow body and it stops moving. The crowd cheers and applauds her accomplishments.

"What did I tell you?" Mr. Schnee says proudly. Weiss is bowing to the audience, oblivious to the body moving slowly from her rear.

"Behind you!" Ironwood shouts. Weiss turns to see the blade at her face. With a split second reaction, she backs away, but not after it hits her left eye. She screams in pain and stumbles on the floor. The Gigas is still in pursuit. Weiss is in shock to do anything. Military personnel come in to save her, while killing the Arma Gigas.

"Weiss!" Her father rushes to her. "Are you okay?" She doesn't respond and leaves the room. "Weiss, wait!" Her father calls out, but she ignores him. She quickly locks herself in her room and approaches the mirror. Luckily her eye is intact, but it will definitely leave a scar once it heals. The warm blood drips from her face.

"Mirror mirror on the wall, who's the loneliest of them all?..." Weiss lays her head on the desk and starts crying.
