The next morning Peter and Ben could be found swinging through the city on their way to Midtown, while Jessica patrolled the city for the day, being extra careful not to swing past S.H.I.E.L.D cameras, learning from her brother's mistake. While the duo was swinging through the city, they were unaware of the fact that they're being followed, however their pursuer was seemingly only doing just that, pursuing, never actually taking the opportunity to attack them.

Today was going to be a big day, they both could feel it in their bones. But unbeknownst to them, today's events were going to set in motion a plot that has been brewing for months, as another man watched from a rooftop as the two Spider-Men were followed, overcoming his curiosity, he immediately turned around and set up to do what he was planning to do, but as he was walking away, four metallic arms could be seen protruding from the back of his trench coat. Even with the crime that happened here and there, Peter still felt like the city was still too quiet, like the calm before the storm, they made him feel anxious and he didn't like it one bit.

He felt even more anxious when he thought about Ava and how that friendship was going to proceed because they couldn't exactly pretend like nothing happened, it didn't work like that and even if it did, he could never bring himself to do it, if Peter's line of thinking was correct which it was, Ava's powers forced her to give up her virginity, not only that, but he saw that she was not thinking right and he just decided to roll with it instead of stopping her, for now Peter decided that it was probably best that he avoid her for now, that is if she was even at school.

Finally making it and getting inside of Midtown High, the Parker Brothers discovered that they somehow managed to be on time for the first period, everyone's heads including the teacher's snapped towards Peter and Ben, more importantly Peter. "Well Mr. Parker, it is very surprising to see you, on time no less, looks like I'm going to have to call Mr. Farnsworth and let him know that taking your work to your third period will not be necessary today." said his teacher, the man had blonde hair and green eyes and he wore a lab coat over a black crew neck and lime green chinos, one very noticeable trait about him was the fact that he was missing an arm, this man's name was Dr. Curt Conners, formerly known as The Lizard.

Although these days he was a lot more commerced than he was Lizard, ever since he found a cure for himself and accepted the fact that he was never getting his arm back, Curt's life has pretty much been smooth sailing, all the time he had put into trying to get his arm back he focused towards his wife and son and spending more time with them, hell, the man even has another kid on the way. Truth be told, looking past the giant lizard thing, Peter was very envious of his teacher/mentor's life, it all just seemed so easy, Peter would love to have something like that, but unfortunately his dreams will only stay dreams because as long as he has these powers, Spider-Man comes first.

He and Ben proceeded to take their seats in the back of the classroom, with them both not bothering to scan for MJ as they wouldn't see her until second period, although Peter did scan for another person though and as much as he wished he wasn't, he was right, she wasn't here. "Maybe it's for the best?" Parker thought to himself, while across from him Ben was watching his brother lose his mind, Ben did ask him what happened, Peter never gave him an answer, so Ben decided to drop it, whatever was going through his mind, it was really bothering him.

The personality difference is between Ben and Peter are easily noticeable, where Peter seemed too serious, Ben was always laid back and that was because he knew thanks to the fact that he was a clone, he could take the mask off anytime he wanted and just stop being the vigilante, but he was only really granted his luxury when he was in New York, back in LA however, it was a different story, Ben and Jessica like even though there are many things telling them both to come back and live in New York, for them, there was always going to be that constant feeling that they didn't belong there, that New York was Peter's turf not theirs, but despite those feelings, Pete usually always did his best to make sure they felt welcome, so did Aunt May for that matter.

While Peter was off his own world, Ben actually paid attention in class and took the opportunity to be a teenager again, nowadays he doesn't get to do much, so when Dr Connors asked a question to the class he decided to speak up when no one else would. "So class, how are enzymes denatured?" Doc asked, it had been a while since Ben had taken a peek into biology, but that didn't matter when you had Peter Parker as your genetic template.

"Well Doc, If enzymes are exposed to extremes of pH or high temperatures the shape of their active site may change. If this happens then the substrate will no longer fit into the enzymes. This means the key will no longer fit the lock. We say that the enzyme has been denatured." He said, surprising everyone because Connor's hadn't gotten around to teaching that part yet, which was why every student faces up shock turned into faces of anger as Ben had done what Peter would usually do before the whole Spider-Man thing, now Connors was going to hold the entire class to Ben standard and skip ahead in the lesson.

"Hm, interesting... Reilly was it? I want to see you after class, before you go to your second period." To which the blonde responded with a "Sure Doc!" before Connors continued with the lesson, thankfully, not skipping ahead, saving Ben's bacon.

Before anyone knew it, time flew and the bell rung, telling everyone in the building that first period was over, when everyone had finally left the classroom, Ben stayed as requested, he wondered why Connor's wanted him to stay behind, this was Ben's first time meeting him, well... as Ben Reilly anyway, but Curt doesn't know that. So why was he still here? Ben paid close attention to the Doctor's movements as he was erasing the chalkboard, wondering whether or not if this was an imposter, but as far as he could tell, this man was the real deal.

The former supervillain finally finished erasing the chalkboard as he turned around to address his blonde student, he appeared to be doing the same thing Ben was doing to him a minute ago, as the Doc looked Ben up and down, immediately feeling uncomfortable with the silence, Connors broke it. "So, Spider-Man's clone huh, I honestly didn't see that coming, I thought Peter would be smart enough to not let that happen but…clearly I've overestimated my prodigy student."

"Heheh, I must admit, that is pretty funny sir, but I'm not a clone and I highly doubt Parker's Spider-Man." he deflected as he thought to himself. "Jeez Pete! are we really that bad at keeping secrets?" he questioned in his head, quickly trying to think of a way out of the situation.

"Drop the act Reilly, I've known Peter Parker was Spider-Man for a while, to be more specific, I've known ever since my last experience being The Lizard." He explained, this was definitely news to Ben, but why didn't he have Peter stay behind also? Sure, he could have known that Ben would have relayed this information to him, but it would have been quicker to tell them straight forward instead of the whole middleman method. "I kept my silence about Parker's secret out of thanks, he decided to help me when no one else would and he succeeded, I'm cured thanks to him and I was given another chance at happiness with my family, for that I am forever grateful."

"Then why am I here and not him?"

"Because I know you'll make sure he's aware of this anyway and I wanted a chance to study you and your mannerisms. Pardon me if I sound rude, but you are living breathing proof that cloning humans is possible!" He said excitedly, but Ben wasn't worried one bit, Connors was a biologist and for him to meet a literal middle finger to the laws of nature must be a dream for him. "Just imagine what we could do together! With your cloning process we could solve so many world problems, think about it, we could help out anyone meeting a heart transplant, a kidney, a leg, or a-"

"-an arm?" Ben interrupted him, he had a feeling that this was where the Doc was going with this, he may not have been too well versed in this field, but he knew that going public with clones could go very bad very quickly. Of course he knew that the hospital patients that could really use those cloned hearts, but that would take a lot of time and trials and errors, having to dissecting found things to see what went wrong, as a clone himself Ben knew what it was like to be taking apart and put together just to be taken apart all over again just for some maniacs asinine experiments and he refused to put his clone brothers and sisters through that agony, but that's just the tip of the iceberg, Ben couldn't even imagine what would happen if that technology ended up in the wrong hands and that saying something considering he was a result of what happens when said technology does end up in the wrong hands. "I apologize, but no Dr Connors. Cloning technology is not something that should be touched ever again, I especially realize that, considering. I'm also refusing to feed your obsession with getting your arm back, Doc."

Connors' face went from excited to shock to ashamed in a matter of seconds, especially at his last sentence. "I want to help you, I really do, but even you know that this is for the best because I don't think I have to explain to you why it would be bad if that technology ended up in the wrong hands, the last time you let your arm cloud your judgment, you turned yourself into a giant reptilian, think about your family and how you're finally happy with them, do them and yourself a favor, and Let. It. Go." With that bed left the classroom, leaving Connors by himself to think, while the man was disappointed by his answer, he perfectly understood why he felt that way.

Before anyone in the building knew it, it was lunchtime and instead of going to wear else for lunch like he would usually do, Peter found himself in the Midtown High cafeteria once more, while to everyone else it was a freedom from class, to Pete it was an hour-long hell occurring everyday because of one man, Flash Thompson. Flash had long stopped bullying him since freshman year, Peter would like to think it was because he wasn't giving Flash the same reaction he used to anymore, but Peter knew it was because Flash felt bad for him, he knew that Flash decided to stop bullying him the second he got the news about Uncle Ben.

Speaking of which, Pete and by extension Ben, also remember the time where Uncle Ben's death was still fresh in Peter's mind and Flash wanted to talk to him, and if it'll rage after everything Flash had done to Peter, the brunette finally decided to retaliate and grabbed Flash by the jacket and slant him into the lockers, luckily not breaking anything but, what really got Peter thinking was the moment the words. "Look Parker I'm sorry about your uncle and I understand how you feel, it feels good doesn't it? To actually feel like you have control over something, I'm sorry."

From that point forward Peter and Flash never talked again, sure they still have classes together and they still see each other in the hallway, but it seems like Flash makes a big effort to avoid Parker and make sure his buddies do also, it's almost like Flash put out a warning of some kind to every bully in the school saying that Peter Parker was off limits, but everyone else was fair game, also as far as Peter could tell it looked like Flash was trying to turn his life around. Back when he was still on the team, when Peter was called into Coulson's office for something S.H.I.E.L.D related, Pete couldn't help but notice Flash's grades, they were going up and they were looking pretty good. From what he could hear, Flash even planned on enlisting in the military once he graduated.

Over time Peter couldn't help but realize that Flash "The Jock" Thompson was nothing more than a persona, a product of Eugene's surroundings and the more he thought about it, the more Peter realized that Flash was only the bully that he was because of how he was treated at home, his dad would treat him terribly so he would come to school and treat the people weaker than him even worse, he may have been inspired by Spider-Man, but it was the man under the mask that gave him a real reality check, after seeing the kind of person Peter turned into after death of his uncle, Flash realized that if he hadn't bullied Peter so much then maybe he would have a lot more people to confide in.

Flash felt the person Peter turned into was a man of his doing and finally realized that his actions had consequences, so he didn't just stop bullying Peter, he stopped bullying everyone, for realizing his mistake and deciding he wanted to do better for himself, Flash had unknowingly gained his hero's respect. But Peter decided to shake off his thoughts for now, he and Ben needed to find Mj, well that was until he heard someone whistle at him that he knew all too well, Peter turned around to see Luke, Danny, and unfortunately Sam sitting at the table behind him and he knew what this was obviously about.

While Senior Parker decided to catch up with old friends, the focus is once again back on Ben as he finally found Mj, sitting at a table with Liz Allen, Flash's Ex, and Harry Osborn's old flame and love of his life depending on who you're asking, "Benny!" She yelled as she sprinted towards him and hugged him with all her might, "Benny? Really? That's just as bad as Petey!" he thought, as at this point he had to pull her off him because she was squeezing so hard that she was cutting off his oxygen supply. "It's soooo long since I've last seen you, Benny! How've you been?"

There once again, Benny. You didn't know why it did or why it should, but the nickname bothered him, it's like Petey but so much worse, the nickname just made the skin on the inside of his ass just itch. Unfortunately, Ben, like everyone else, also had a weakness to the cute and adorable antics of the Latina girl, so like everyone else, he was forced to just suck it up and deal with it. "I've been… um… fine, L-Liz." He stuttered.

Another weakness that people (mainly guys) was the fact that she was very touchy-feely with people and loved hugs despite the fact that she was rather well… developed at her age, it was practically the main reason why Flash dated her and what originally caught Harry's attention. Despite what others may think, Elizabeth also had quite the brain on her, which was something Peter discovered when he was forced to tutor her once, now she was definitely no Reed Richards or Tony Stark, but she was definitely very intelligent in her own right. Not to mention, if Kitty wasn't lying to fuck with Peter, then that would also mean that Liz was also a dormant mutant, although she didn't know that and thankfully neither did her parents, otherwise who knows what kind of schemes Adrian would force her into with her mother helpless to stop him.

Kitty said that Professor Xavier theorized that since both of Liz's parents weren't Mutants and therefore didn't possess the X-Gene was the reason she was dormant, but that theory was quickly shut down by Hank when he stated that both of Bobby's parents didn't possess the X-Gene, not only that but he also gained his powers from right around puberty, but kept it a secret for as long as as he could, so I can only mean that Liz was just a special case and one would need to help her unlock her powers instead of her developing them naturally, in the end, it was said that it was best to just leave her alone for now.

Although she managed to snap him out of the trance he was in with her very next sentence. "Did you hear? I got accepted! Isn't that great?! She squealed. "W-Wait what? Accepted? Accepted to what?"

"To ESU!"

"Congrats Liz, you definitely earned it." Now that wasn't a shocker, he remember her mentioning that empire state was her dream school, in fact it was one of the main tactics that Pete used to get her to study, it's not like it was something that was hard to get her to do, but rather just extra motivation, not to mention it was insurance in case she ever lost a good looks, not that she will, even with the vulture as her father she somehow had good genes. Speaking of the Vulture, been often found himself wondering what kind of relationship Liz has with her father nowadays.

As far as he heard Peter, Liz was granted weekly visitation hours but never used them, as far as he knew she never visited her father once, it was always him that came to her whenever she would break out of the raft, which forced her and her mom to move, even though Liz clearly resented her dad, judging from Adrian's psychological reports, the man still held great love for his daughter, going as far as to reject the thought of her dating, which has put Harry and Flash in harm's way multiple times, the man even holds a grudge against Harry for breaking up with Liz, to at least he may have been an insane criminal but he was definitely protective of his daughter.

After all she's been through, Ben was kind of proud of the person she turned out to be, even with all those problems she still finds a way to put a smile on her face and for that he wanted to give her another hug, but that was going to have to wait as he signaled at Mary Jane for them to talk in the hallway, alone.

"Look Mary, I called you out here because I wanted to talk and clear the air."

"So you admit it."

"I mean there is something to admit, but no, I'm not Peter's clone and I'm sure you don't think so either considering that cloning humans is a breakthrough in science yet to be cracked and if it has it hasn't been made public." He explained. "To add on, if cloning someone was possible, then why would someone choose to clone Peter Parker?"

"I don't know! Maybe someone's spun a wheel with random people and it just happened to be Peter's lucky day!" She argued, not believing a word he was saying. "But if you're not Peter's clone, then explain yourself, Mr Reilly."

"Okay then, where to start? How about how I came to be?"

"Just get on with your excuses Peter."

"Okay okay, but never call me Peter again." he told her. "Your theory was correct. I am Richard Parker's bastard, but my mother wasn't a blonde and I'm actually a natural brunette, I just dye my hair blonde because 1. The Parker pool proved to be quite shallow, 2. I found the blonde hair aesthetically pleasing, and 3. Well, there isn't three, I just wanted to say it because it sounds better."

"Okay, that doesn't explain your last name."

"Another thing you were right about, Reilly is not my original surname, my original surname was my mother's maiden name of Warren and before you laugh at me, yes, my birth name is Ben Warren and I mean I was going to change it to Parker, but by the time I found the what was left of the Parker family, Uncle Ben's death was still fresh and I didn't feel comfortable, now I think I might get around to doing it." He wasn't completely lying through his teeth, he did technically have a parental figure with the last name Warren, just not biologically. "As for the reason I'm even here in New York, I was curious as to who my father was because my mother couldn't accept the fact that he wasn't willing to leave Mary for her and the second she was rejected she was practically already on the plane to Los Angeles, without saying the word about her pregnancy with me, so I don't completely blame Richard for not being in my life, you can't be involved in something that you didn't know existed."

"I mean that would explain why you don't ever stick around in New York for too long, but you said there was something to admit, what is it?" She asked, her memory as impeccable as ever.

"Yeah…... About that, so turns out me and Peter aren't the only siblings, we have two more."

"Two more?! How many times can Richard Parker cheat?!"

"No, you got it all wrong, the others aren't bastards like me, I mean Kaine is a bastard, but not like I am." Mary then began giving Ben that look of disbelief, but hanging on to listen to his explanation. "Although Kaine isn't around much, Jess is actually in New York and with a little convincing, you could meet her today."

"You fuckers had a sister and you didn't tell me? After all this time, there could have been another girl in this friendship circle?

"Well she didn't feel ready to do so and she wanted to go home to make up with her adopted family."

"Okay then, so what's her story?"

"I'll let her explain that."

With that, the two began to walk back to the cafeteria, although she had a smile on her face which made Ben believe that the lie worked, she really didn't believe him for a second, she needed evidence, which prompted her to look into the Los Angeles citizen list later, so for now she wasn't going to push them on the topic any longer, but she did want to meet this Jessica Drew character.
