Sorry for the delay of the updates and the short chapter. but I'm back

Alex was hanging around the bar as Olivia was setting up opening. "Hey Alex, what are you doing?" Rafael asked.

"Oh you know, just hanging out." Alex sighed out.

"You're not watching Sonny and Abbie in Tokyo?" He asked the blonde.

"No," Alex huffed out, "I've been avoiding anything skating related. I have two weeks for my doctor to clear me." Alex gave Rafael a half smile. "How did they do yesterday."

"They're behind in the short but they'll make it up in the long." He explained.

"They always do." Alex smiled.

"Do you miss it out there?"

Alex started tapping her knee, "Yeah, I haven't been off the ice this long since I broke my leg when I was nine." Alex explained, "Considering I usually get one day off a week, yeah I'm going crazy."

"So are you thrilled to meet Peter Stone?" Rafael has actually been paying attention to the skating world.

Olivia walked behind Alex shaking her head at Rafael. "Oh I've already met him, he's such an asshole." Alex rolled her eyes, "Wait what do you mean?"

Rafa looked at Olivia shaking her head, "Oh nothing."

"No, this meant something, what are you talking about?" She turned to see Olivia making gestures. "Olivia?"

"Umm… well…" Olivia stepped closer to Alex, "Apparently Ben Stone had a heart attack and he's going to be out of coaching for a while, and he announced Donnelly will be taking him until Ben is better."

Alex was taking back hearing Donnelly taking on an egotistical skater. "No, she wouldn't."

"Yeah, apparently he and Huang are coming too." Barba explained.

Olivia held Alex's hand, "At least she didn't take on any female skaters." Alex took a deep breath in. She covered her face with her hands. "And it's only temporary." Olivia played with Alex's hair.

"Until it's not." Alex exhaled as released her face. "Nobody moves from Chicago to New York for something temporary." Alex sighed. "I… I have to go." She didn't rationalize what she was being told.

"Where are you going?" Olivia stopped Alex knowing she was bothered about the information.

"I… I… I don't know but I need to get some fresh air."

"Okay," Olivia nodded at Rafael, "Let's go."

Alex walked outside to wave down a cab. She started pacing back and forth, "This is absurd. Three weeks, and she takes the men's national champion in MY rink."

"Why don't you call her?" Olivia asked Alex. "And talk to her about it?."

"No." Alex cleared her throat. "I will go home, and sleep it off and tomorrow we will go down to the rink."

"We? Shouldn't you do this on your own? She's your coach." Olivia laughed.

"If I have to talk to Peter Stone tomorrow. I'm not going alone." Alex stepped closer to Olivia. "Wake me up when you get home?"

"Always." Olivia kissed Alex goodbye as her ride pulled up. "Get some sleep."

Alex laid her head on her pillow after their early morning rendezvous with Liv.

"I was never informed that being involved with an athlete, that I would never get to sleep." Olivia laughed as Alex's hand was playing with her stomach.

"Sleep is overrated." Alex smiled.

"Three weeks off the ice, I guess you have to work out some time." Olivia nodded her head.

"As much as a I love to touch your body, I need to get back out there." Alex kissed Olivia's shoulder.

"Once your doctor clears you." Olivia reminded her girlfriend.

Alex rolled her eyes at Olivia, "Yes mom." Alex's text message sound was going off.

"Who is texting you that has your phone so busy?" Olivia questioned the chimes.

"Let's find out." She grabbed her phone. She looked at the notification to see Abbie texting her. "Oh my God." Alex jolted up.

"What is it?" Olivia sat up next to her disturb girlfriend.

"Shh." Alex turned on the television to watch the Tokyo event of the Grand Prix.

They saw Russo being interviewed. "Where did these two triple axels come from?" The reporter asked Russo standing with the gold medal around her neck.

"You know, I've been working on it for a while and they were feeling really good in practices. And I went for them and landed them."

"This makes your technical score higher than Cabot's score. How does that feel?"

"It feels good. With the Olympics coming up hopefully I keep going and will do better than last time." Jessica explained to the reporter.

"Now that Cabot had to pull out, do you have your sights on your first Grand Prix gold medal?"

"Yeah, it's a shame she had to pull out of Canada, I really hope she's doing okay. But a gold medal would be nice if I skate my best."

Alex turned off the television. "Fucking bitch." She jumped out of the bed to get dressed.

"What are you doing?" Olivia asked.

"Going to the rink." Alex said under her breath.

Olivia got out of bed to put her clothes back on. "Why?"

"Because I can't just sit around and do nothing while Jessica Russo just landed her triple axel and has a higher score than me." Alex confessed the stress in her head. She brushed her hair to put in a ponytail.

"And the doctor hasn't cleared you to go back." Olivia reminded Alex.

"I don't care!" Alex snapped at Olivia. "My ankle is fine. My career is not!"

Olivia took Alex's hands, "Alex, I need you to breathe."

"I don't have time for this."

"Alex." Olivia would let go of Alex's hands. "Look at me." Olivia caressed Alex's cheek. "Please." she uttered. Alex finally looked in Olivia's eyes, "I need you to breathe, take a moment. You need to be a hundred percent when you get back on the ice." Alex took a deep breath in and exhaled to try to listen to her voice of reason. "Why don't we go to the mall. We can get breakfast and go shopping?" She suggested knowing Alex likes to go shopping.

Alex finally looked into Olivia's eyes. She took in a deep breath to exhale. Alex nodded her head, "Yeah, okay."

"Okay, why don't you go take a shower to relax. I'll get dressed and we will head out." Olivia patted Alex's head.

"Yeah," Alex took another breath. She walked into the bathroom.

Alex turned on her shower and turned on music. The water streamed down her body. Alex thought about everything she just heard within the last twenty four hours. Donnelly taking on new students. Her competition upping their difficulty and she has another couple weeks before she can even get back on the ice or even into the gym to work out. She was trying to be calm about things she couldn't control. She closed her eyes to think of something else. Moonlight Sonata turned on the radio. All Alex could hear was her blades sliding across the ice. She was thinking about her long program that made her the junior's world champion. The navy blue costume with rhinestones to resemble stars in the sky. It was one of her favorite programs she ever did. She always wanted to know what it would be like to not have the pressure of skating. But she didn't want it like this.

She began to shave her legs. "Shit." She sighed out as she accidentally cut her leg. Her heart started racing as she watched the blood run down her leg. She wasn't bothered by the cut, it felt good to her. She quickly put her razor down as she was having flashbacks on how she used to handle her stress. Tears began to run down her face.

Alex walked out of the bathroom fully clothed. Olivia stood up, "Hey are you okay?" Olivia asked after waiting for over forty minutes for Alex to get out of the shower. She could see the pain in Alex's eyes.

"Yeah." Alex sighed out with a smile.

"Are you sure you can talk to me? I'm here."

Alex avoided eye contact with Olivia, "Yeah, I'm fine let's go." She tossed Olivia her jacket as she walked out of her room.
