They where all sitting in Danny's room. Jazz, Tucker, and Sam. Danny just told his parents that he was a King, and he figured they needed some time to process this, so they all went upstairs.
"I was thinking, what if we we bring ghosts along, turn you guys invisible and be ready for whatever freakshow has in mind. Which hopefully my scouts will soon be able to figure out some of his motives. But when I was thinking of that it crossed my mind that Freakshow might already have ghosts under his control which means their Ghost sense will go off alerting them of another presence but my own. So then I began to think, what if I can turn you all invisible all at once? So I asked my parents to invent a little something for me..." Danny pulled out a box with his symbol on it.
"Cool box huh?" He asked. They nodded. Danny pulled out four small mettle bracelets.
"These bracelets are genetically programmed to my DNA and ecto signature which means I am able to share a few of my abilities with you. Such as invisibility."
"No way! We can turn invisible!" Tucker cried slapping on a bracelet. "Why am I not turning invisible?" He asked disappointed.
"Tucker I have to wear the bracelet and it is on my command. See watch." Danny handed out the rest of the bracelets and then put his own on. "See look invisible..." all three tuned invisible. "And not." His two best friends and sister cam into view.
"Woah cool!" Jazz commented.
"Danny how come you couldn't just make clones and turn yourself invisible as well as us." Sam asked,
"See I thought of that, but I don't want to risk them being able to sense multiple clones and figuring out our plan. This was a lot more simple." Danny said holding up his wrist with the bracelet.
"Now we just have to wait for Skulker to come back and give us the layout of his camp." Tucker said.
"Exactly." Danny agreed.
"So what are we gonna do in the mean time?" Sam asked.
"Its up to you, go home, do homework? I don't know about you guys but I have a lot of work to do." Danny smiled while standing up from the ground and sitting on his desk, his tail in his lap. Danny pulled out some papers from his bag pack. Then he noticed some blue ones. He pulled those out too. There was a yellow sticky note on the top that read,
Review these plans for the castle,
~Clockwork.
"And ghost homework too apparently."
His friends and sister laughed.
"Alright well call me and Tucker once the layout to the camp comes."
"Will do Sam." Sam leaned down and they pecked each others lips.
Jazz smiled at that. As long as her brother was happy, so was she.
The trio left the Ghost king to himself and quietly shutting the door.
Jazz walked into Danny's room at 5:30 Pm only to find him passed out with tones of layouts for a building, and his notes of to the side. She frowned. He's only sixteen. And she is going to college in a week. How will me keep up on his own?
Oh shut up Jazz, he is 16 and perfectly capable of being responsible. She thought to herself. Danny explained that his hearing was super sensitive so she didn't want to scare him. She put her hand on his shoulder and gently shook him. Danny flashed awake and before she could react, grabbed her arm. His eyes where glowing green. Jazz yelped. Danny, realizing who it was, let go and began to apologize profusely.
"Oh Jazz, I'm so sorry! I don't know what happened."
"No it's okay! It's fine. I came up here to tell you that dinners ready."
"Mmmm what's for dinner? Actually wait... Steak with moms famous gravy, mashed potatoes and... rolls."
"How did you-"
"Heightened senses Jazz remember?"
"Right." She smiled at him. And he smiled back with a fanged grin.
"What are those for?" She asked pointing at the plans.
"Oh those? That's for the new castle. I said Black and White, but one of the workers said Grey was better. I won that argument by the way." Danny figured out how to teleport messages back and forth with certain ghosts. It was cool just like everything else.
"Any word on the plans?"
Danny shook his head. The siblings began to walk downstairs.
"Nothing that I am aware of. I got a letter saying they are still working on it. They just have to stay far away enough to not alert Freakshows ghosts."
"So he does have ghosts under his command."
"I am not surprised,"
"So that means he has another staff thingy."
"I would assume so." Danny frowned.
"I will figure something out don't worry." He said noticing Jasmine's worried face.
"Hello Danny! Get any work done?" His mom asked.
"Actually yea. Homework not so much. I took an oath to put my people first before others. So yea, no homework it getting done tonight."
His mom frowned at that thought.
"I was hopping you wouldn't be busy. It's been a while since we had a family movie night." His mom sighed.
"Im really sorry mom. I just have to finish the plans to the castle and then make sure Skulker look out team is okay, and on top of that I have 6 pages of algebra."
"Danny don't worry about your homework." Jazz winked. "And the castle can wait. Plus you told Skulker to inform you personally if anything changed."
"Or I can just make my clone suffer and do my homework."
They both laughed.
"So what movie mom?" She shrugged.
"I don't know you choose."
"Naw, I think Jazz should."
"Okay Jazz, what show?"
"Not sure I'll have to see what there is."
"Just finished the last steak!" Dad proudly announced coming in from the back yard.
"Smells great dad." Danny complimented.
"Thanks Dan-O."
"Alright let's eat!" Their mom announced.
The ghost hunting family all sat dow
"So Danny," there son looked up at his father. "How are you holding up with... this?" He gestured at Danny, Danny slowly snaked his tail around his waist to hide it. Jazz noticed and frowned.
"Um, it's okay," he replied. It was the truth he just didn't know how his parents are holding up. "What about you guys?"
"Okay. I guess, getting rid of Ghost hunting really changed our life's. Made us see the good in them." There mom replied.
"That's great mom, but I'm talking about this though." Danny held up his ring.
"Oh. Well if you want my honest opinion, I really don't think you should be a King. I mean your just a child."
Danny's stomach dropped. "I may be just a child in your eyes mom, but in mine I see a 16 year old who earned this title and fought to stay alive since he was 14. Even in his own house."
His parents shrunk and Danny winced at his harsh words.
"Danny if we knew it was you-"
"I know I'm sorry. That came out worse then I wanted it too."
"But son, why did you never tell us?" Jack asked.
"I was afraid." The halfa said maybe a little to fast.
"Were your parents."
Danny didn't want to talk about it anymore. Jazz noticed his uncomfortable situation and attempted to change the subject. But she didn't get to far before Danny spoke. "I'm not hungry anymore." Even though he was. Phantom excused himself.
"Danny..." Jazz tried. But he was already up the stairs in his room before closing the door. Danny flopped on his bed and pulled out his phone.
Danny: Hey Sam, can I come over?
Sam: Yea sure, is something bothering you?
Danny: No, want to maybe watch a movie?
Sam: Sure head on over.
Danny: Thanks
Danny imagined Sam's movie theater and then with a blink of an eye, he teleported to it. He grinned when he didn't teleport some place random this time. Danny spotted Sam filling up popcorn bags.
"Hey Sam."
She shrieked spilling the popcorn everywhere.
"Oh crap! Danny you scared me! Don't ever do that again!" She gasped walking up to her boyfriend and kissing him on the cheek. She bent down and began to pick up the popcorn. He put a hand on her shoulder.
"Here let me," Danny waved his and the popcorn flew into the trash.
"Mmm nice trick." She smiled sarcastically.
"Thank you." He gave her a toothy smile.
"I think your fangs are cute by the way." She smiled. Danny blushed in embarrassment.
"You really think so?"
"I really think so."
Sam and Danny where half way through the movie. Danny's tail was in Sam's lap and her head was on his shoulder. And the best part was the couple holding hands and sharing a fuzzy blanket. They ditched the popcorn a long time ago. Well at least Danny did because Sam refused to eat anything from animals. That included butter. Then all the sudden a letter appeared in from of Danny. It was on fire colored green. Danny let go of Sam's hand to catch it.
"Sorry." He said.
"It's okay."
The letter had Skulker signature. Danny opened it and something blue fell out of the letter. I'll look at that later. He thought. Danny opened the message,
Phantom,
The troops managed to make the map, but they where not so lucky themselves. Freakshow has all four of them, so be prepared to destroy his staff, if that wasn't already your plan. Fortunately I escaped, and am writing to you from Clockworks tower. But time is on the Essenes, Whelp. The troops and I suspect that Freakshow is using the orb in his staff to create a relic much more powerful that we suspected. We fear if he creates this relic, all ghosts minds will be at his disposal. You must hurry Phantom, the clock is ticking.
~Skulker
Danny finished the letter and bolted up.
"Sam we need to go."
"Go?"
"Go like right now. Text Tucker and tell him to meet at my house ASAP! I'll explain everything there." Sam pulled out her phone and to text Tucker.
"Okay its sent."
"Good, I'm going to teleport you to my house."
"Okay." Sam stood up and Danny placed a hand on her shoulder. "Three, two, one." Danny focused on his room and instantly teleported.
"Woaha!" Sam fell with a bang.
"Oh, sorry Sam!"
"Yea definitely not repeating that again." She groaned.
"Here," Danny offered his hand to help her up, "you okay?"
She smiled "I'm fine."
"Okay good. I'm going to go get Jazz, I'll be back." Danny walked out of his room and knocked on his older sisters door.
"Come in!" She answered. Danny creaked the door open.
"Jazz I have something urg- wait are you doing my homework?"
"Just thought I would help you out. So what's up?" She turned her chair to her brother. Danny opened the door all the way.
"Jazz I just got some urgent news from Skulker." She stood up.
"Where are we meeting?"
"My room." He replied. Then the door bell rang. "I'll be right back." Jazz watched Danny disappear then reappear at the front door. It was Tucker. The boys exchanged a few words before Tucker ran up the stairs. Danny just teleported.
Sam sat on his bed with Jazz and Tucker sat in his chair for the desk.
"Okay guys," Danny took one look out the door to make sure no one was there. "Okay so I got some really bad news. Here it will be better if you just read it." Danny took the paper out of his pocket and handed it to Jazz. Sam and Tucker read along with her. There eyes widened.
"Oh this is bad." Sam commented.
"Like crazy bad." Tucker added,
"What are we going to do now?" Jazz asked.
Danny began to pace the floor. He took out the blue paper from his pocket and placed his hands behind his back, while using his powers to force the paper to float in front of him. His tail moved around like a whip. He trio waited patiently.
"Okay I think I got it."
Danny stopped pacing and placed the map on the bet. He used his telekinesis to summon a red marker. That all turned to look at the map with him. Danny glanced at his pocket watch.
"Okay listen up, we only have 4 hours, 12 minutes and 43 seconds before Midnight. That's when Freakshow will attempt to attack the Ghost Zone. Which means I have about 4 hours and 12 minutes to show myself to Freakshow. I believe he is going to attack the zone by activating his relic Skulker warned us about. From what this map shows, I believe you guys have a grate chance of getting in unnoticed if you go in from the corners. This map shows that there is a huge fence surrounding the camp, so if you guys take the corners you will be less likely to be spotted." Danny drew a circle at each corner. "Okay Sam you will be here, Tucker here, and Jazz... right here." He said pointing to them.
"We should use these to." Tucker said pulling out three small ear pieces. "Now we can communicate up to a 100 mile radius. Also the battery life last about 12 hours."
"Great thinking Tucker!" Sam complimented.
"Did you make these yourself?" Danny asked realizing that they had the Danny Phantom symbol on the top of the device.
"Maybe." He replied.
"So its settled then. We can keep in touch. Okay this is where the tricky part starts. Where going in blindly, and I can only hold invisibility for so long. So therefore you guys need to make it to the main tent where I assume will not only be the relic's location but Freakshow in the flesh." They nodded.
"Okay, so once you are here Jazz, Tucker it is your job to find this relic, destroy it, then try to get the crystal from Freak Show. I cannot touch it, keep that in mind, or else I will be a mindless corps at his disposal. I will try and distract him hopefully have him set the staff down, and you guys need to get to it quickly."
"So what is my job then?" Asked Sam.
"I'm glad you asked. Sam if anything happens to me, if I get tuned into a mindless zombie, and Freak Show steals the crown, then he can command all ghosts and have the powers I have. But of corse he can't personally obtain it. He can only use it through me. So that's why Sam if anything like that happens I need you to be there with this," Danny reached in the air and a a grey cylinder appeared.
"The Fenton thermos? But Danny I couldn't..."
"Sam I trust you with my life. You got this. Also when you get there do not tell me your location, or I can find you easily, if I am ever to be put under his control."
Sam grasped the container.
"Which will never happen." She said staring into his icy blue eyes.
"I hope not." The king stood up. "Alright everyone got the plan?"
"Got it." They all said in unison.
"Good. Any questions or concerns?" Danny asked.
"Actually I have one." Tucker said. The Ghost King gestured for him to continue.
"How long do you think you can hold your invisibility for?"
"Hmmm. An ten minutes at most, so hurry."
"Got it." Tucker replied.
"Great then, I will have my men outside Hiding in the forest if anything goes wrong. But for now we leave soon. I suggest you find something to eat because tonight is going to be one hell of a ride, Now let's go kick some circus ass." Danny grinned and the trio cheered.
