So I meant to update this like...two nights ago, but was so tired after my stream that I forgot.

Let me know what you think!

Chapter 3: Let There Be Light

Blinking rapidly, Rory struggled to see anything around her as mist swirled around her.

"This again?" she wondered aloud as the memory of her previous dream returned to her. "Bit dramatic, isn't it?" Rory asked as she looked around. With her hands held out slightly in front of her, she started to walk, searching for anything in the grey.

Rory's footsteps echoed through the mysterious place, and she huffed a sigh of irritation. "This is ridiculous. I've been walking forever," she complained to herself. "Is anyone there?" she called, raising her voice.

"Is anyone there?" her shout bounced back at her, coming from her left. Frowning, Rory turned to the left and moved towards the echo.

"Hello?" she tried again.

"Hello?" the voice echoed back.

"That's annoying as hell," Rory muttered as she saw a shape starting to materialise in the mist. Her outstretched hands finally brushed against something cold. She yelped, and it echoed, before the mist finally cleared slightly.

Staring back at her with a look of surprise that she was sure was on her own face, Rory found someone who looked almost exactly like her. Her long hair curled out in the same ways, but instead of the white streak that ran through it, a black one took its place.

Swallowing, Rory reached out, staring with her blue eyes into red ones, and her hand pressed against her twin's. It was cold, almost freezing, and made a shiver run down Rory's spine. The cold settled in her stomach; a sensation that had started to become familiar to her. "Who are you?" she asked, and shuddered when her twin asked it at the same time. A moment later, the twin smirked, her expression no longer mirroring Rory's.

The chiming noises of the morning bells pulled Rory from her sleep abruptly, and her eyes shot open. Staring up at the ceiling, Rory tried to process what the noise was, and why her heart was pounding.

"Five more minutes…" she heard from Raimundo's section, followed by more snores. Taking a deep breath, Rory closed her eyes, finally remembering. She was a Xiaolin Dragon-in-Training, and she was at the temple with four others like her.

"Rise and shine, Raimundo," Clay's cheery voice was far too alert for Rory, who finally sat up to try and accept that she was awake for the day. "You too Rory," the cowboy called as he passed her section.

"Aye, I'm 'wake," Rory yawned widely, and the curtain was pushed back slightly as Kimiko peeked in.

"You look it," she teased, in the middle of tying her hair up. Rory mumbled something that Kimiko didn't quite understand, finally pushing off her covers and stumbling to her feet. Pushing her hair from her face, Rory went to her clothes, which were all strewn in the corner, trying to find her uniform. She pushed her hair from her face, blowing at the strands that fell into her eyes. "Hey Rory, that streak in your hair. Ever think about dying it other colours?" Kimiko suggested.

"How are you awake enough to think about that?" Rory asked, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. "Besides, it won't dye. Otherwise I'd have it same as the rest of my hair," she yawned, tugging at the white strands.

"It doesn't dye?" Kimiko repeated, eyebrows raised. "You just haven't had someone with my skill to help," she grinned, and Rory couldn't help but smile lightly. Of course. Kimiko dyed her hair all manners of colours. Only the other day it had been vibrant pink.

"Sure," Rory nodded, before straightening. "Now get out, would ye?" she made a shooing motion, holding her uniform up against her pyjamas.

"See you at breakfast," Kimiko laughed, letting the curtain fall. Rory sighed, resisting the temptation to go back to sleep as Raimundo's snores filled the air again.

After breakfast ended, Rory and Raimundo stood together in the kitchen scrubbing the plates, having been paired together for cleaning duty. As Raimundo scrubbed at a particularly stubborn spot, Rory dried the dishes he passed her and returned them to their places.

When the plate was finally as clean as he felt it would get, Raimundo huffed a sigh. He hadn't signed up to be a dishwasher when he'd been invited to join the Xiaolin temple. Glancing at Rory, he made to voice his complaints, to see if she agreed, and paused as he saw her expression.

Deep in thought as she dried one of the pots, her brow was furrowed and she didn't seem aware of his irritation.

"What's up with you?" he asked, and watched as Rory jolted, almost dropping the pot.

"N-nothing. Just, uh...didn't sleep great," she forced a smile, moving quickly to return the pot to the cupboard. Raimundo watched with a raised eyebrow, not believing her in the slightest. Of all of them, he'd found her the most closed off. He'd no idea just what she was thinking. "You done with that plate?" Rory asked as she turned to him and smiled.

"Oh, uh, sure," he held it out to her, and went back to the rest of the pile of plates. As he did, he watched from the corner of his eye as her smile faded again.

'Maybe I should talk to them about this. That weird feeling I get around Spicer and Wuya...I don't get it,' Rory considered to herself. 'But they might stop me from searching for Shen Gong Wu,' she thought, and shook her head. She'd been scared by the quest at the start, finding it a daunting task, but she wanted to help.

Determination filled the girl, who took the next plate from Raimundo. She wasn't going to get in the way, and she would help them.

"Hey, Rory!" they looked around as Kimiko peered into the kitchen. "You almost done?" she grinned, waving a box in her hand. Recognising it, Rory grinned.

"Almost. Let's see if you can work some magic," she nodded. Raimundo rolled his eyes.

"Girls…" he muttered under his breath.

"I just don't get it," Kimiko complained as they watched Omi and Raimundo sparring. "It really won't stick," she looked at Rory, who was stretching beside her.

"Told you," she shrugged as she moved her left leg forwards. "I'm just weird," Rory said, leaning forward.

"Well, yeah," Kimiko teased. "But so are the others, so you're fine," she said, and Rory laughed.

"I wouldn't count you out of that," Clay spoke lightly as he practiced his moves on Rory's other side. Kimiko leaned to glare at him, and Rory bit her lip to hide her laughter. Clay grinned to himself, not saying anything else as if pretending he didn't see her reaction.

"Stop everything!" Dojo's shout reached them as they watched Raimundo sail across the grounds after a well placed kick from Omi. "Shen Gong Wu alert!" he warned them, and Rory straightened up.

"You sure you're not warning us too late again?" Raimundo grumbled, rubbing his back as they walked over to the dragon, who was dragging the scroll with him.

"Hey, maybe you should be the one to fly me around instead," Dojo glared at him, insulted. They'd already missed the Mask of Rio only the previous day, finding only Jackbots in its place.

"Easy partner," Clay soothed. "What have we got now?" he asked as Rory crouched to roll open the scroll.

"The Indigo Pyramid," she read aloud, watching the animation. The person lifted the small pyramid and held it over their head as another person attacked them. "I guess it changes a person's mind?" Rory guessed as the second person turned and walked away.

"That's right. Let's go folks!" Dojo hurried impatiently.

"I call dibs on the Eye of Dashi!" Raimundo shouted, immediately rushing off to claim the Shen Gong Wu for his own.

"No! It is my turn!" Omi refused, running after him. Their arguing echoed back to them, loud and risking Master Fung's wrath. Kimiko groaned, and Rory chuckled as they followed.

Admiring the Mantis Flip Coin as it shone in the light, Rory ignored the bickering between Raimundo and Omi and listened to her music instead. A glimmer of excitement shot through her at the idea of being able to use it. Unlike the others, who had all gotten to use the Shen Gong Wu, Rory hadn't gotten a chance to do so, and even if it wasn't one of the flashier ones, she was excited all the same.

"What's with Rory?" Raimundo asked, finally managing to change the subject and looking at the fifth member of their team. She seemed off in her own world, looking at the Mantis Flip Coin in her hand.

"Probably as bored with your fighting as the rest of us," Kimiko said, not looking up from her phone as she played a game on it. Raimundo shot her a mild glare, but if she noticed, she didn't react. He then looked back at Rory, who also didn't seem to notice.

Shaking his head, he dismissed the thought that something was off with the girl, and focused more on the chance of a good fight. After seeing both Omi and Clay perform in Xiaolin Showdowns, he couldn't wait to do the same.

"We're almost there," Dojo warned as another shudder ran through him, threatening to knock the team off his back. He tilted, starting to descend towards the ground, and they watched as they dipped beneath the clouds.

"Not quite as open as the last few," Rory spoke as she pulled her headphones down around her neck again, seeing the mountains that surrounded them. It was quiet and imposing, putting them all on edge.

"No kidding," Kimiko agreed.

"Kinda spooky," Clay admitted as Dojo landed, shrinking down when they jumped down. Rory had to agree as she looked around, hearing no signs of life around them. A cold wind blew past, making them shiver.

"Let us find the Shen Gong Wu!" Omi declared, but even he looked unnerved as they followed Dojo into one of the caves.

"You couldn't have hidden the Indigo Pyramid in a cheerier place?" Kimiko complained as she lifted her phone and used the torch so that they could see where they were going. A drip echoed from somewhere, making her shiver.

"We were hiding them. Forgive me if we didn't want them in places with frequent visitors," Dojo shot back at her from his perch on Clay's hat.

"It's fine. How hard can it be to find a Pyramid in a cave?" Clay tried to soothe the two as they kept walking, looking around for anything out of the ordinary.

"Are we getting close?" Raimundo asked as Dojo sniffed the stale air.

"It's hard to tell. It all smells old around here," he complained, and sneezed loudly. It echoed, and a few rocks fell from the ceiling. Omi frowned up, wary as they kept going. "Oh, I think we're getting close," Dojo shivered after what felt like they'd been walking for hours, and the team perked up a little. However, the optimism didn't last as the light from Kimiko's phone landed on a split in the path.

"Close, huh?" Rory murmured as they looked down the two identical paths.

"Which way, Dojo?" Clay asked, lifting Dojo down so he could try and figure it out.

"Uh...uh…" his voice shook a little as he got nervous.

"Don't tell me you've gotten us lost," Raimundo groaned, putting a hand to his face.

"Give him a minute," Kimiko pushed him irritably, nerves frayed from their search.

"Yes, have patience. I am sure Dojo will know the way," Omi nodded, trying to seem wise. Dojo took a breath, trying to focus. However, a moment later, his confident smile dropped. "Well, Dojo?" he prodded, and the others shot him irritated looks.

"Whoa," Rory's voice escaped before she could stop herself, and she put a hand to her mouth.

"What's wrong?" Clay asked as they all turned to her. As a second shiver ran down her spine, Rory turned; her mind racing.

"I uh, think I heard something," she tried. The others turned properly, and fell quiet as they listened, giving Dojo a moment to breathe.

"I don't hear anything," Raimundo commented, only to be hushed.

"Someone approaches," Omi warned as the faintest thuds of footsteps reached his sensitive ears. They moved into fighting stances, ready to attack, as Wuya's complaints reached them.

"Oh, great," Jack groaned as he came into view and saw the four standing there.

"This is why you shouldn't have taken so long, you fool!" Wuya snapped at him. Jack rolled his eyes, having been listening to her complaints the entire time.

"I was hungry. You can't expect me to hunt Shen Gong Wu on an empty stomach," he shrugged, and pressed a button on his watch. "Jackbots, take care of them," he ordered the fleet of robots that emerged from the shadows.

"Water!" Omi was the first to leap into action, flying through the air and kicking one of the robots.

"Wait!" Dojo yelped as the robot slammed into the wall. The ceiling began to shake, and they looked up quickly as more rocks began to fall.

"This place is gonna collapse!" Clay realised, but the robots didn't pay them any heed. Rory let out a cry as one rammed her in her distraction, and she staggered backwards. "Rory! You alright?" he called over as she recovered, looking irritated.

"I'm fine, but I don't think we will be for long," she pointed out as the robots continued attacking, not registering the danger.

"Stop them, you idiot!" Kimiko shouted, ducking under a robot that crashed into the wall.

"Huh?" Jack finally realised as a low rumbling came from above them.

"Watch out!" Raimundo yelled, pulling Kimiko out of the way as the ceiling collapsed on them, plunging the group into darkness.

"Bloody hell," Rory grumbled to herself, now on the ground and unable to see anything. Fumbling in her pocket, she managed to retrieve her phone and switch on the torch. Her stomach dropped as she found the way back completely caved in by rocks and dirt, very close to where her feet were. Trying not to think about how close she'd come to being buried, she looked around, moving her torch as she heard a groan.

"You idiot! You could have buried the Shen Gong Wu for good!" Wuya snapped at Jack as he sat up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, thanks for asking," he grumbled back at her, getting to his feet. Seeing the light, he looked up, seeing only Rory standing at the blocked exit.

"Please tell me I'm dead," she sighed, not seeing any sign of the others around.

"What, it's just you? This'll be easy," Jack snorted, but as he lifted his arm to call on more robots, he stopped, seeing the remote had broken off.

"Easy for who, exactly?" Rory tilted her head, and jabbed her thumb at the dirt. Mixed in, were pieces of his robots, crushed from the collapse. "Your robots are either smushed, or on the other side of this wall," she pointed out. Jack was quiet for a moment, before yelping and rushing at the dirt, scrabbling to try and get free.

"I'm trapped!" he shrieked as Wuya groaned.

"I'm starting to think I was better off in the puzzle box," she muttered to herself. More dirt and rocks started to fall, making Rory frown.

"Stop, you're making it worse," she warned Jack, ignoring her own desire to try and get free. When he didn't listen, Rory frowned. "Enough!" he yelped again when she grabbed him by the jacket and shoved him away from it. "You keep going, you'll bury us too, eejit," Rory warned as she glared up at him.

"Wh-what?" Jack blinked, barely able to understand the rapid words spilling from her mouth. "What did you call me?" he asked. Rory rolled her eyes and let him go.

"Course I have to be stuck on this side," she muttered, checking her phone again. No signal. "If I hear anyone say 'luck of the Irish again', they're getting my boot up their hole," Rory hissed to herself.

"What?" Jack stared at her. Rory groaned.

"Never mind. I'm going this way. Either you can follow, or you can stay here," she told him, and started walking down the tunnel without waiting for an answer. Her heart raced at the idea of being trapped away from her friends while they searched for the Indigo Pyramid, while she was stuck with Jack and Wuya.

"Wait!" a moment passed before Jack rushed to catch up with her. "Truce until we get out?" he asked with a weak smile. Rory watched him for a moment, before sighing.

"Yeah alright," she agreed, continuing to walk. She was aware that Wuya was watching her carefully, but didn't acknowledge the witch, who put her on edge. Even though she knew that she was just a spirit with no powers, being around her made Rory want to bolt.

"I figured you were the quiet one, Rapunzel. Didn't even know you were Irish at first, you talk so little," Jack commented, arms behind his head as he broke the quiet. "You've got a fouler mouth than Wuya," he laughed, and the witch growled. Rory was quiet for a moment, cursing herself. She'd slipped, letting a side of her few had seen show in her fear.

"Yeah well…" she was quieter now. "I'd rather you not bury me in this place," Rory answered, before stopping abruptly. "Hold on, what the hell did you just call me?" she demanded.

"Come on," Jack snorted as he turned to her. "That quiet act, the long hair. You're as close to a princess as they get," he shrugged, and Rory clenched her fists as her face started to burn in an angry blush.

'Don't hit someone weaker. You learn this stuff to be above that cruelty,' she repeated something her mother had taught her long ago, treating it like a mantra to stop her from exploding.

"Rory. My name is Rory," she hissed low, and watched as he smirked.

"So easy to annoy, Rapunzel. Don't even need my Jackbots to beat you," Jack commented, and Rory took a deep breath, exhaling slowly.

"And I don't need Shen Gong Wu to make you scream like a girl," she shot him a dangerous smile that quickly wiped the cocky smirk from his face. "And Jackbots? Really?" Rory mocked. Jack frowned at her.

"What?" he shrugged.

"I don't know what needs more work, the bots, or the name," she laughed to herself, walking on.

"Hey!" Jack grumbled, trailing after her. Rory ignored him, still irritated at herself as she used the light of her phone to continue down the tunnels.

"Hmm…" Wuya hummed aloud as she flew nearer to Rory. The hairs on the back of the girl's neck stood on end, and her eyes narrowed a little, but she tried to ignore the witch, continuing on. "You're supposed to become the Dragon of Light, aren't you?" her sudden accusation caught Rory off guard, and she stumbled.

"The what?" Jack frowned, not understanding why Wuya was suddenly interested in the girl. Past her sharp bite, there was nothing particularly impressive about her. Wuya ignored him as Rory kept walking, not answering her. However, her reaction was enough of an answer for the Heylin Witch, who chuckled darkly.

"Very interesting," she murmured.

"There better be a way out of this place," Rory muttered, already fed up with her new companions. Moving around a bend in the tunnel, her blue eyes widened as she finally saw light that didn't belong to her phone. She reacted automatically, starting to run forwards towards it.

After being in the dark tunnels, the light stung at her eyes as she stepped out, and raised an arm to shield them. Once they adjusted, Rory lowered her arm and peered over the ledge she'd stopped in front of. There was a large drop, while above there was a massive hole in the ceiling, revealing the blue sky above.

"Whoa!" Jack stepped out and immediately tipped over the edge, not seeing the fall. Instinctively, Rory grabbed his arm and yanked him back before he could fall, muttering to herself before a light caught her attention.

"The Indigo Pyramid!" Wuya gasped, seeing the bulky blue and orange Shen Gong Wu sitting below.

"Truce over, loser!" Jack activated his helipack and leapt into the air, starting to make his descent down to the Shen Gong Wu below.

"Rory, you're okay!" Kimiko's voice reached Rory as she cursed, and looked over to see the others emerging from another pathway. Her relief that they were all unharmed was short-lived, as Jack's laughter echoed.

"The Shen Gong Wu! Jack Spicer is going to get it!" Omi yelled as he spotted the boy below. Rory's hand went to the Mantis Flip Coin in her pocket, and she took a breath. She was fed up of the caves. She wanted to go home.

"Oh...to hell with it," Rory sighed, grabbing the Coin. "Mantis Flip Coin!" she yelled, leaping from the ledge. She flipped through the air, clearing more distance than what should have been possible.

"What in tarnation?!" Clay yelped as they watched her plummet down.

"Oh man," Raimundo winced, barely able to watch. A shriek followed a moment later, and they found Rory clinging to Jack's back, having just managed to catch him as she fell.

"Hey, let go!" Jack yelled as he was dragged down from the sudden extra weight before he could catch himself.

"You're not getting the Pyramid without a fight!" the two struggled, before reaching the Indigo Pyramid. As Jack launched himself towards it, Rory jumped from his back and landed on the small level of ground around it, managing to put her hand on it at the same time as him. Immediately it began to glow golden, and Rory managed a smirk despite her racing heart. "Shouldn't have called off the truce," she taunted him, and he scowled.

"Whatever. Rapunzel-"

"Rory. It's four letters. How hard is to remember?" Rory grumbled.

"I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown. Your Mantis Flip Coin against my Mask of Rio," Jack continued, ignoring her complaint. "Whoever can paint the other with their colour first wins," he decided, pulling the bronze mask into view. Rory looked at it for a moment, trying to remember its ability. She then looked back up to glare at her opponent.

"I'll accept your challenge," she agreed.

"Let's go, Xiaolin Showdown!" the two yelled, causing the light from the Indigo Pyramid to explode out, temporarily blinding the pair. The ground all around began to change, almost knocking the two off balance as walls burst up around them, making a small maze of ways to hide. The Indigo Pyramid flew into the air, out of their grasp, and floated above as their right hands seemed to become dipped in paint.

"Gong Yi Tanpai!" they yelled, signalling the start of the game. Immediately Jack lashed out at Rory, who jumped backwards.

"Mask of Rio!" as she checked her footing on the uneven ground, Jack activated his Shen Gong Wu and vanished as he held it to his face.

"Well that's hardly fair," Clay muttered as Rory looked around, trying to spot him.

"This is not good," Omi gulped. They watched from above, cheering loudly for their friend, who tried not to listen to them. She hadn't considered the pressure of spectating something so important, and their cheers only made her more nervous. Especially since she couldn't see Jack.

"Shite," Rory hissed to herself.

"Told you, you have a way fouler mouth than Wuya," Jack laughed, and Rory barely managed to dart out of his way as he reappeared suddenly. He then vanished again as she looked up, breathing heavily as her panic started to take over.

The feeling in her stomach shifted a little, cutting through her panic. Rory's eyes widened, and she went still.

"What are you doing? Keep moving or he'll get you!" Raimundo shouted down, frustrated. However, Rory didn't hear him as her mind kept racing.

'It's a different feeling to Wuya. Hers is scary. His is…' Rory suddenly grinned, grabbing the Coin from her pocket. "Mantis Flip Coin!" she yelled, backflipping over Jack's head as he reappeared, trying to hit her from behind.

"What?!" he yelped as he stumbled forwards from the momentum.

"How'd she do that?" Omi wondered, eyes wide.

"Mask of Rio!" Jack pressed the mask to his face again, vanishing before Rory could think to try and tag him with her blue hand. He rushed her again, but Rory dodged again, as easily as if she could see him.

"That's strange," Dojo hummed.

Rory used the Mantis Flip Coin to dodge Jack's attack again, judging his movement on the odd feeling that she always got around him, and from his footsteps, which the Mask couldn't hide. When he moved again, her eyes noticed a strange blur, and finally she remembered the true power.

"The Mask of Rio isn't as strong as it seems. It's no Shroud of Shadows, which gives total invisibility," Master Fung had told the group when the Shen Gong Wu had activated. "It merely allows the wearer to blend into their surroundings, like a chameleon disguising itself on a leaf," he explained.

Laughing from the giddy feeling that followed the memory, Rory used the Coin again to leap over the wall.

"Huh?" Jack blinked as she seemed to run away from him. Confused, he kept close to the wall and shifted along to try and spot the girl and take her down.

Only for a cold finger to press against his forehead. Jack shrieked, dropping the Mask of Rio as he turned quickly, staring up with wide red eyes at Rory. She was now perched on top of the wall he'd been hiding against, smiling victoriously.

"Tag," the single word made him put a hand to his forehead quickly, where a blue mark was now standing out against his pale skin.

"No!" he yelled as the Indigo Pyramid floated down into Rory's hands. The ground started to shake again, before returning to normal. Whining to himself, Jack used his helipack to fly away, while Wuya lingered for a moment longer; her spiral eyes watching Rory as she jumped onto Dojo's back.

"That was amazing!" Kimiko cheered as they flew from the hole in the ceiling and out into the fresh air again.

"Yes, it was impressive. For you," Omi nodded. Kimiko rolled her eyes. Rory was too happy to take offence to his words, holding the Indigo Pyramid and Mask of Rio in her arms.

"Those were some fine moves. And that jump down, woo-ee!" Clay exclaimed, making Rory laugh.

"It was a little insane," she admitted, blushing at the praise. "I don't wanna think about what would have happened if I missed," Rory added.

"I'd rather fall than have to grab onto that creep," Kimiko shuddered, earning more laughter.

"How'd you know he was behind you?" Raimundo was the only one not laughing. He watched Rory suspiciously as her laughter faded.

"Yes, your reflexes were cat-like," Omi nodded. Rory didn't respond, hugging the Shen Gong Wu closer to her chest. Her good mood shattered, Rory found it replaced with resignation.

"Rory?" Kimiko called softly, seeing her worried expression. Finally she sighed.

"There's something I need to tell you," Rory said, knowing she couldn't hide it any longer.

"I noticed a while back, when Spicer got the Mantis Flip Coin," Rory started her explanation once they had returned to the Temple. She stood facing her friends; hands behind her back as they waited, curious. Master Fung also stood with them, listening quietly. "This weird...feeling. It's hard to explain, but it always happens when Wuya and Spicer are around," she told them, looking down at her feet.

"Like you can sense them, or something?" Kimiko asked, and she nodded. "That's how you could tell where Jack was when he was hiding!" she realised.

"Yeah…" Rory confirmed. "I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you, but I don't even know why it's happening. I thought you might try and leave me behind," she rubbed the back of her head, looking sheepish.

"We would never do that," Kimiko declared, wrapping her arms around the other girl, who smiled thankfully.

"Master Fung, what do you think this could be?" Omi looked up at their teacher, who was watching Rory and rubbing his chin.

"As a potential Dragon of Light, it stands to reason that Aurora would be more aware of the Heylin side, sensing their inner darkness," he considered. Rory tilted her head, ignoring the use of her proper name again. The others had quickly learned not to call her it, after she'd knocked Omi into the fountain for it.

"You mean...it's some kinda power to sense evil?" Clay asked, lifting his hat to scratch his head.

"In a way, yes," Master Fung nodded.

"Great, so I am weird," Rory confirmed with a heavy sigh.

"Make no mistake, Aurora," Master Fung put a hand on her shoulder. "You, much like the others, are not like everyone else. There is a reason each of you was chosen. Embrace your gifts, all of you," he turned his head to make sure the others knew they were included.

"You mean we're all going to end up with powers like Rory?" Raimundo asked, unsure if he was happy with the idea.

"Perhaps not exactly like her, but your own abilities will show in time, Raimundo," Master Fung nodded. Oddly, his words made Rory feel a little better, knowing that she wasn't so much weirder than the others.

"Wuya asked me about it as well," she remembered, biting her lip. She looked down at the ground, missing the teacher's flash of concern. "If I was supposed to become the Dragon of Light. What was that about?" Rory asked, looking up again. Master Fung was quiet for a moment, before turning to face them all.

"Make no mistake, young ones. Wuya knows that you are the ones standing in her way to regain her power, and it is not the first time that her plans have been thwarted by Xiaolin Dragons. She will do whatever she can to stop you, if it means regaining her powers and thrusting the world into 10,000 years of darkness," Master Fung warned solemnly.

"No pressure," Raimundo rolled his eyes.

I know that the Showdown is a little similar to another that takes place, but I had it in my head and had to write it. Then I remembered Omi's Showdown against Katnappe. So that was a thing.

Also, the Mask of Rio and the Indigo Pyramid are Shen Gong Wu from the trading card game! For the first few new Shen Gong Wu, I decided to go with ones that actually exist, but I do have a few in mind that I'll be adding later on!

I hope you liked it!
