Chapter 5: Katnappe

Practically vibrating with excitement, Omi stared enviously up at Kimiko as Clay handed her the Golden Tiger Claws.

"Please hurry Kimiko!" Omi pleaded with her. "I cannot wait to see the Tiger Claws in action!" he exclaimed.

"Don't rush her," Rory told him as they all waited for Kimiko. It had been almost two weeks since Kimiko had won the Golden Tiger Claws in a Showdown, and Master Fung had finally given them permission to try them out. Since Kimiko had been the one to win them, they'd - mostly - agreed that she would go first.

"Cool your jets, Omi," Kimiko said as she thought about how to use the Shen Gong Wu.

"Let me get this straight. These Claws can transport you anywhere in the world, right?" Raimundo summed up what they remembered about Dojo's explanation.

"That's the story," Clay nodded.

"Golden Tiger Claws!" Kimiko shouted, slashing the air above her. It cut a rip through seemingly nothing, and she leapt inside before it closed. There was a moment of quiet as they looked around, not seeing her.

"Where has she gone? What's taking her so long?" Omi demanded.

"Probably somewhere she can get her head showered," Rory sighed.

"Why would her head need cleaning?" he asked, confused as he looked up at her. Rory groaned as both Clay and Raimundo laughed. Finally, another tear appeared, and Kimiko leapt out.

"How was it?" before she'd even straightened up, Omi was rushing up to her. "Where did you go? What was it like? Did you bring me a present?" he bombarded her with questions.

"In order: Tight, the mountain top, a little breezy and sorry, no," Kimiko answered all of his questions. "You're up Rory," she offered the Claws to Rory.

"Deadly," she took them carefully and slipped it over her right hand, thinking for a moment. "Golden Tiger Claws!" she used them to cut through the air in front of her, and jumped into the hole. "Whoa!" Rory gasped as she tumbled through the portal. It opened again and she managed to land on her feet.

Turning, Rory whistled as she looked out at the large field of blooming flowers that she'd seen in a picture a long time ago. Immediately she sat down, pulling her legs in and just watched as the wind blew gently. "I think this is the start of a great friendship," she told the Tiger Claws, which just shone in the sun silently.

Taking a long, deep breath, Rory allowed herself to enjoy the peace for just a moment before she stood. Knowing that Omi would probably explode if she took too long, Rory activated the Tiger Claws again, and leapt through the portal it created.

"At last!" Omi exclaimed when Rory landed nearby.

"Oh, little off," she realised, having reappeared a little bit away from her friends. "Clay, here you go," Rory handed over the Tiger Claws to the cowboy.

"Any words of wisdom before I give them a whirl?" Clay asked as he slipped it onto his hand.

"Just think of anywhere that you want to go, and the Claws will do the rest," Rory told him as she pulled a petal from her hair.

"Golden Tiger Claws!" Clay shouted, vanishing through another tear.

"Where did you go?" Kimiko asked, lifting a pink petal that had tangled in Rory's loose hair. "You know, with the flowers, you kinda look like a Princ-"

"Please don't say that," Rory stopped her, shuddering at the memory of the last time she was called a princess.

"Where do you think he is going?" Omi asked as Kimiko shot Rory a curious look.

"Someplace with an all you can eat buffet," Raimundo guessed, making them grin. It had been clear from the day they had met Clay, that he loved his food.. A few minutes passed, and a grey tear cut across the air nearby. Clay jumped out, carrying a plate stacked high with steak and ribs.

"Woo-ee! No place like Billybob's Texas-style All You Can Eat buffet!" Clay declared as he took a seat, retrieving a small bottle of hot sauce he kept on him.

"My turn, my turn!" Omi shouted, running over to him. Clay held out the Claws for him to take, only for Raimundo to grab them first, flipping over Clay's head as Omi gasped.

"Too slow! Tiger Claws!" Raimundo vanished with a laugh.

"Here we go," Kimiko put a hand to her face.

"Hey! Not fair!" Omi whined, and looked around as Raimundo reappeared behind him.

"You want these?" he held them just out of Omi's reach as the boy snatched for them. Omi then dropped, trying to sweep Raimundo's legs out from under him, but the taller boy anticipated the move and jumped, vanishing again.

"Can we go a day without these two fighting over a Shen Gong Wu?" Rory asked as Raimundo taunted Omi. He jumped from portal to portal; too fast for Omi to catch him.

"In front of Omi! Behind Omi!" Raimundo popped out around Omi. "To the left of-" he yelped when a hand grabbed him by the scruff and pulled him free.

"Now hold your horses partner," Clay warned, having interrupted his meal to take pity on the smaller monk.

"It's Omi's turn," Kimiko pulled the Claws off Raimundo's hand and passed them to Omi.

"Let him try them out already," Rory nodded.

"At last! The Golden Tiger Claws are mine to wield!" Omi declared as he slipped them over his hand. "Golden Tiger-"

"Stop everything!" Dojo's shout interrupted Omi before he could activate the Claws. They looked around as Dojo slithered in, carrying the Scroll, with Master Fung walking behind him. "We got a hot one!" Dojo declared.

"A new Shen Gong Wu has revealed itself," Master Fung announced. Omi groaned, lowering his hands as his chance to use the Claws was gone.

"Urgh. Talk about rotted timing!" he complained.

"Rotten timing," Rory corrected him patiently.

"That too," Omi nodded as they gathered around their teacher to see what they were hunting.

"What's up with the glowing X?" Raimundo asked, confused by what he was seeing.

"They're chopsticks," Kimiko rolled her eyes.

"The Changing Chopsticks are wondrous Shen Gong Wu!" Master Fung exclaimed as Raimundo went red. "They can shrink you down to the size of a grain of rice," he told them as they watched the figure in the image shrink down.

"Oh, real scary," Raimundo wasn't impressed.

"Hey! The bigger they are, the harder they fall!" Dojo snapped at him. "So, the smaller they are…"

"The lighter they fall?" Rory finished for him.

"Yeah, that's it," Dojo nodded, making her grin.

"Maybe if we are lucky, I will use the Golden Tiger Claws in a Xiaolin Showdown," Omi considered, admiring the Claws still attached to his hand. "Let us remove the lead!" he shouted.

"Get the lead out!" Kimiko groaned, exhausted by his attempts to use slang.

"That too!" he grinned. Kimiko shot Rory a droll stare as the taller girl laughed lightly.

Hidden behind one of the Moai Statues, the group of warriors and Dojo watched as a young woman dressed in a black catsuit walked away from Jack with a group of kittens, who had destroyed the Jackbots that now lay in a heap behind Jack.

"Who is that?" Omi wondered as they peeked out.

"And what's with the tacky costume?" Kimiko asked.

"Yo girl, seen a mirror lately?" Raimundo asked her, and groaned when her sharp elbow found his stomach.

"Whoever she is, she's trouble. If she's hanging out with Spicer and Wuya, she's after the Shen Gong Wu as well," Rory said as Raimundo doubled over. Kimiko shot him a glare, before the girl's voice echoed out.

"Hey! These your sticks?" she called.

"Well done, Katnappe!" Wuya praised, seeming much more fond of her than her current companion. "It's good to know I can count on someone," she turned and floated into Jack's face, making her feelings abundantly clear.

"It's not like it's brain surgery," Katnappe rolled her eyes and reached to grab the Changing Chopsticks. However, as she touched one, Omi's hand slapped down over hers.

"Omi!" Wuya snarled.

"He's way too eager to get a use out of the Tiger Claws," Rory complained to the others as they emerged from their hiding place.

"Yes Wuya," Omi nodded as Katnappe hissed at him angrily. "You and your minions shall not escape with this Shen Gong Wu!" he declared. "I challenge you-" Omi stopped as he realised he didn't know her name. "Uh, name please?" he asked politely.

"Katnappe," she answered haughtily.

"Katnappe, I challenge you to a Xiaolin Showdown!" Omi declared. Her eyebrows raised.

"O...kay," she said slowly, not sure what he was talking about. Jack started to laugh.

"Katnappe can't do a Showdown, she's Shen Gong Wu-less," he told them with a shrug. "If that's a word…" he considered as Wuya turned to him.

"Which is why you will give her yours!" she ordered him, making his red eyes widen.

"So not," he refused, arms folded as he turned away.

"Hand over the Fist of Tebigong," Wuya warned in a low growl. Jack sighed, rolling his eyes.

"Only because I think this will teach you a lesson," he relented, handing over the metal glove he'd won against Kimiko. "Better not lose it," Jack warned as he handed it over.

"Doofus," Katnappe slipped the glove on, glaring at him.

"What's the challenge, Omi?" Jack turned back to the monk who was waiting patiently.

"A game of tag," Omi said confidently.

"Tag?" Katnappe's eyes gleamed, and her smirk took on a predatory feeling.

"Let's go! Xiaolin Showdown!" Omi was just as confident, if not moreso. The ground started rumbling, and the Moai Statues started to move until they surrounded the group, as darkness covered the sky and left them in a poor green light that emitted from the eyes of the statues.

"Cozy," Rory muttered as she folded her arms. She still wasn't over how much their surroundings changed from the power of the Shen Gong Wu.

"I must warn you, with my mighty Tiger Claws, I can disappear, and then reappear in the blink of an eye!" Omi declared.

"Don't be showing your whole hand before the round's over…" Clay groaned as the others winced at Omi's overconfidence.

"Your Fist of Tebigong will be of no use. I shall win very fast!" Omi announced. Katnappe rolled her eyes, mocking the boy.

"How do we start this thing?" she asked impatiently.

"We start, like this: Gong Yi Tanpai!" Omi shouted loudly.

"Fist of Tebigong!" as soon as the words had left Omi's mouth, Katnappe slammed the Fist against the ground. It caused a massive tremor that made Omi fall, dropping the Golden Tiger Claws. Katnappe then threw up a hand and caught them with a laugh. "Tiger Claws!" she ripped a hole in space and leapt through, and as Omi sat up with a groan, another hole appeared over his head. "Tag! You lose" he stopped, eyes going wide, as one of Katnappe's clawed fingers scratched against the top of his head.

Lights flashed, and when they faded, the area had returned to normal. Katnappe stood proud, holding the Fist of Tebigong, Golden Tiger Claws, and Changing Chopsticks in her hands. "Look at me, I won! Very fast!" she mocked, laughing as she walked away.

"What happened? I blinked and missed it," Dojo peered over Raimundo's shoulder.

"Omi, are you okay?" Rory asked with concern, crouching beside the dismayed boy. He didn't reply, simply putting his head in his hands.

Omi's mood hadn't lifted even by the time they returned to the temple. He was so down that even Kimiko, who had been frustrated by his constant comments over her own loss, couldn't bring herself to make any comments about it.

"I have failed," Omi finally spoke, glaring at the ground. "Failure is the road, I now walk," he declared.

"Don't beat yourself up, Omi," Kimiko soothed him. "Sure, it would have been nice to get the Chopsticks, but-"

"Chopsticks?" Omi interrupted, looking up at her. "O-oh yes! The Changing Chopsticks, I am upset because I lost them. My sorrow has nothing to do with the much more impressive Golden Tiger Claws," he then smiled weakly at them. The others rolled their eyes, suddenly much less sympathetic.

"You could have just said yes, we might have believed you then," Rory shook her head, chuckling lightly.

"Doubtful," Raimundo shook his head. Rory shot him a tired glare.

"The point is, you lost. It happens," Kimiko patted Omi on the shoulder. "Just move on," she told him.

"On the contrary, Kimiko," they looked up at Master Fung, who had been watching their discussion. "There are no lessons in victory, but a thousand in defeat," he told them. Omi turned to him, looking conflicted.

"How can that be true, Master?" he asked.

"Don't make no sense to me," Clay admitted.

"Allow me to illustrate," Master Fung held up a small Jade Elephant in his hand. "I challenge you to steal this elephant from me. If you succeed; no chores for one week," his offer made them all perk up in interest. "But, if you lose, you must hand scrub the floors of the Grand Hall," Master Fung warned. Immediately their excitement turned to hesitation as they all exchanged looks.

"Those are some mighty steep stakes, Master Fung," Clay told him, biting his lip.

"We can do it," Kimiko told them, focused on the idea of no chores for a whole week. She grinned to the others, inspiring them with confidence.

"No doubt," Raimundo agreed.

"Let's do this," Rory nodded.

"We accept your challenge!" Omi agreed, already cheering up. Clay nodded, just as ready.

The sun was disappearing behind the mountains as Master Fung placed the Jade Elephant on the floor in front of him. He then straightened, putting his hands behind his back. The five then surrounded him, with Clay swinging his lasso as they all looked for ways to take him by surprise.

"Too obvious," Master Fung said simply as he moved the elephant out of Omi's way when the boy dropped from the ceiling. Kimiko ran at him with a yell, throwing punches and kicks until the older man grabbed her wrists and tossed her aside. "Perhaps you do not wish to win," he considered, setting the elephant down. He then moved quickly, kicking Raimundo before turning quickly. Rory tried to move around his grab, but the man was much faster, and she let out a cry as she was thrown into Raimundo. The two rolled out of the way, and Master Fung looked down as Clay's lasso wrapped around the elephant.

"Gotcha!" Clay went to pull the elephant, only for it to be shattered by the small hammer the teacher produced. "Well that's plum disappointing," the cowboy commented as all he pulled over was the detailed trunk.

"Hey, he broke it!" Raimundo complained. "Can he do that?" he demanded as Rory pushed him off her and got back up.

"Master...how could we win such a contest?" Omi asked, confused.

"You couldn't," Master Fung said simply.

"What?" Kimiko frowned up at him as they all looked baffled by his response.

"Your goal, my young Dragons-In-Training, was to win, while mine was simply not to lose. That is victory enough for me," the teacher told them, which did little to lessen their confusion.

"But why did the elephant have to suffer for our knowledge?" Rory wondered as she lifted a piece of jade.

"That's one lesson. What are the other 999?" Raimundo grumbled as their teacher walked over to the side. He turned, now holding a bucket and brush.

"Perhaps you'll learn those as you scrub the Grand Hall floors. Don't forget to get in between the tiles," he said, holding out the bucket. The five groaned loudly.

"I can't believe I'm about to say this but...my back," Rory groaned, falling down into the tiles beside the part she'd just finished scrubbing. "I feel like this is aging me," she complained.

"Maybe that's Master Fung's plan. Make us all as old as him so we're all wise enough too," Kimiko grumbled, and Rory couldn't help but laugh.

"You are supposed to hand scrub the floor, Raimundo!" Omi shouted as Raimundo skated past him. He'd strapped on two brushes to his feet, cleaning the floor at a much faster pace.

"You're being too literal," Raimundo dismissed, narrowly avoiding the water bucket. "Besides, this is more fun," he decided.

"Hey!" Kimiko lifted the bucket to make sure it didn't spill.

"Rai, give me some of that energy. I'm gonna die before I work all this dirt from the cracks," Rory complained as she moved to sit on her knees again.

"I don't think skating is one of the thousand lessons we're supposed to be learning," Clay pointed out as he watched Raimundo continue skating around.

"Perhaps one lesson is proper scrubbing technique," Omi suggested, watching Kimiko scrubbing beside him. "I find a circular motion works best. You missed a spot!" he pointed as soon as Kimiko started to move on.

"Thanks," she frowned, irritated. She then gasped, pointing. "What's that?" she asked, making Omi look away. As soon as he looked in the direction she was pointing, Kimiko scooped up some dirt and tossed it where he'd been cleaning. "Sorry, was just the wind," she smiled, going back to scrubbing as he looked back. "Oh, you missed a spot too, Omi," Kimiko pointed.

"Oh my, thank you Kimiko!" Omi started scrubbing at the dirt to clean it. Rory shook her head at Kimiko, not saying a word, and Kimiko stuck her tongue out in response. "I have learned a lesson in diligence! Only 998 to go!" Omi kept scrubbing.

"I'll go refill the bucket," Rory sighed, standing slowly and lifting the bucket with a groan. "If I'm not back in five minutes, assume I've fallen over and can't get up," she told them as she made her way out of the Great Hall.

"Should we come rescue you?" Clay called after her.

"No, I've already accepted that fate," Rory said as she disappeared out.

By the time the Grand Hall was clean, the sun was starting to rise, and the five could barely move.

"I feel like I just got off a bull…" Clay groaned, rubbing his arm as his muscles ached. "Or a bull just got off me," he considered as Raimundo moaned beside him.

"I don't know how that feels, but if it's like this, I'm never doing it," Rory declared, lying flat on the ground in hopes her own muscles would stop hurting.

"It even hurts to web-surf," Kimiko had to use one hand to hold up her arm as she typed on her laptop.

"All the soreness is rushing to my head," Omi complained, having been upside down in an attempt to meditate. "Ow…" he overbalanced, falling on his back and lying there.

"Hey guys, look at this!" Kimiko exclaimed. There were several groans as the others slowly dragged themselves over to look.

"If this is another cat video…" Raimundo warned her.

"In a way," Kimiko looked up at them. "There are a dozen stories on the web about a girl in a cat costume robbing stores and then disappearing," she told them, and their aches were quickly forgotten.

"Katnappe!" Clay frowned.

"Wow, what deductive skills," Raimundo drawled, earning a glare.

"Guess she ditched Spicer and Wuya when she got the Tiger Claws," Rory pushed herself to her feet, only to fall back down.

"We must stop her!" Omi also got up. He swayed, groaning. "Right after I stop the wobbling in my legs," he struggled to try and stay standing. The others watched him for a moment, wondering if he'd collapse, before there was a beep from Kimiko's computer.

"She's at the Mall of the World!" the girl frowned as videos popped up of Katnappe.

"Better get Dojo," Rory said, holding onto Clay as she managed to get back up.

"You want me to take you to the Mall of the World?" Dojo demanded, incredulous. Rory couldn't exactly fault him. He was already their reluctant 'minder', and they were asking for a lift when a new Shen Gong Wu hadn't even been revealed. "This official Xiaolin business? Or are we just gonna hang out at the food court?" he asked, skeptical.

"It is most official, Dojo," Omi assured him.

"Katnappe's using the Golden Tiger Claws to commit crimes!" Kimiko explained.

"What?!" Dojo's eyes widened as anger rushed through the dragon. Immediately he began to grow, towering over them. "Hop on! We've got a cat to declaw!" he growled, taking to the skies quickly to find the thief.

"Okay, this place seems a little like overkill," Rory considered as they ran through the Mall of the World.

"Are you kidding? This is amazing!" Kimiko exclaimed. Her eyes were lit up with excitement as she looked around at all the stores.

"Shop later! We got a thief to catch," Raimundo reminded her. Finally they came across a pile of bags lying in the middle of an oddly quiet part of the mall. More bags fell from a hole above, and Katnappe followed with a satisfied smirk.

"Not a bad haul," she told herself, admiring her stolen goods.

"Katnappe!" she jumped, whirling around with a loud hiss. "You are misusing the powers of a Shen Gong Wu! You must surrender!" Omi warned her.

"You'll have to catch me first," Katnappe shot back, raising the Golden Tiger Claws.

"Urgh, I want her stopped for the cat puns alone," Rory grumbled as Omi glared at the thief.

"Water!"

"Golden Tiger Claws!" Katnappe managed to knock Omi back long enough to disappear through a hole she cut.

"Behind you!" Clay warned as the portal reappeared behind Omi. Before the boy could react, Katnappe jumped out, wrapping rope around Omi and restraining him. With a laugh, she shoved him over.

"Omi! Hang on kid!" Dojo rushed to try and help, only for a small white kitten to emerge from the backpack Katnappe wore. It hissed and shrieked at Dojo, who stopped and sniffed as another jumped down as well. "Say, are you genetically altered super-kittens?" he asked. They shrieked again and he yelped, fleeing. "This is why I'm not a cat person!" he cried.

"Kittens? Really?" Kimiko rolled her eyes.

"Light!" Rory ran at Katnappe, ready to fight. "Monkey Staff!" she raised the staff as she ran at Katnappe, who was sticking her tongue out at Omi while he struggled. She turned quickly, pulling an extending pole from her belt to block Rory's strike.

"Nice tail, freak," Katnappe taunted as she pushed back against Rory. The shorter girl was all too aware that a pale brown tail now swung behind her, making her feel more balanced than ever.

"Coming from the walking cat-cliché?" she retorted, shoving hard. Katnappe smirked, and moved suddenly, making her stumble forwards. The thief was fast, quickly knocking the Monkey Staff from her hands and spinning her. Rory fell beside Omi, struggling to break free of the rope she'd been tied up in.

"Fire!" Kimiko launched herself forwards as well to try and catch Katnappe. "Third Arm Sash!" she let the blue Sash lash out, but Katnappe vanished through a portal. When Kimiko looked around for her, another opened above her, and she cried out as boxes of shoes tumbled out and forced her to the ground.

"Wind!" Raimundo gave it a go, but Katnappe vanished as he landed in front of her.

"Too slow," she mocked, tying a rope around him and shoving him hard. With a yell, Raimundo tripped and landed with the others.

"Hold on there, Katnappe!" Clay shouted as she turned around. She rolled her eyes.

"Are you gonna fight, cowboy? Or just stand there?" she goaded. Clay just shrugged.

"I'm sorry, ma'am, but do you have some male kin-folk I can fight instead?" he asked her with a sheepish smile.

"Come on Clay, get her!" Raimundo shouted over.

"Sorry guys, can't do it," Clay declined, shaking his head. "I can't fight a girl," he refused. Katnappe laughed.

"Then this will be quick," she shrugged. Clay cried out, and landed on Raimundo and Omi.

"Well, I admire that you stick to your beliefs," Rory sighed as Kimiko worked on untying her.

"See you, Xiaolin Warriors. I've got more shopping to do! Meow!" Katnappe vanished through a portal, taking her kittens with her.

"Except the parts where she slapped us silly and got away, I think that went pretty well!" Dojo declared as he emerged from his hiding place. The five groaned; humiliated by their defeat.

"Guys? Any inspirations yet?" Dojo called, having been flying around as they tried to think of where to find Katnappe.

"Any big malls might entice her," Rory considered, arms folded.

"She doesn't seem to have a high attention-span," Kimiko considered. "So she might have gotten bored of that by now," she shook her head/

"Fine...I'll just be flying in circles…don't mind me," Dojo sighed.

"We need a plan to stop Katnappe," Omi told them.

"Let's start with a plan to find Katnappe," Raimundo argued, shaking his head. "She could be anywhere!" he pointed out. Rory had to agree. They didn't know enough about the girl to track her down easily.

"You know, back home we have a saying," Clay spoke up. "Wanna catch a rooster, go where it crows," he suggested.

"She's already been everywhere I'd go. Toy stores, music shops, candy stores," Kimiko listed with a shrug. Raimundo shook his head.

"Yeah, but that's you," he pointed out. "What was it Rory called her? A cat-cliché? She's obsessed with cats, so where would a cat fanatic go?" Raimundo wondered.

"I'm guessing the dog park is out?" Clay said, earning an amused look from Rory.

"Got it! Catatonia-Land!" Kimiko said as she brought up the website on her phone.

"Cat-a-what-a-who-land?" Omi asked, baffled by what Kimiko had just said. Carnival music played automatically from Kimiko's phone.

"The best amusement park in the world. With the scariest rollercoasters, the fastest rides, and the best cotton candy ever!" Kimiko declared.

"And everything's shaped like cats!" Clay nodded, having heard of it before as well.

"Just as long as it doesn't smell like cats," Raimundo's nose wrinkled at the thought.

"That's where she is! I guarantee it," Kimiko insisted, confident.

"Well, it's more of a lead than anything else," Rory agreed, believing in Kimiko's idea.

"Hurry Dojo! To Catatonia-Land!" Omi shouted.

"Malls, theme parks? You kids sure you're not just playing hookie?" Dojo asked, but headed in the direction of the park anyway.

"Whoa," Rory blinked rapidly at the sights around the park as they arrived. "This place is huge...and so much cat stuff," she commented, looking around at all the cat shaped merchandise.

"What's with you? Never been to an amusement park?" Raimundo asked, and watched as Rory blushed, suddenly looking awkward. "You haven't?" he realised from her quiet.

"Seriously? Do they not have amusement parks in Ireland?" Kimiko asked, surprised as well. Even Clay had been to a few. Rory shook her head.

"It's not that," she said. "I just...never got to go to one. I didn't get out much," she said vaguely. She then quickly shook her head when Kimiko and Raimundo exchanged looks. "Any sign of Katnappe?" Rory asked, changing the subject.

"Nothing," Clay shook his head.

"Maybe I was wrong…" Kimiko groaned, starting to doubt herself. "I don't see any sign of Katnappe!" she said.

"Only because you are looking in the wrong places!" he made her look up at what he'd been watching, and they followed his gaze. On the biggest rollercoaster, they spotted Katnappe taking up an entire cart to herself.

"The Nine Lives Coaster," Raimundo breathed as they watched the girl fly along the tracks.

"Woo-ee!" Clay laughed.

"Can I sit this one out? Rollercoasters make me barf," Dojo groaned, holding his stomach. Rory quickly moved him from her shoulder as he belched, looking sick.

"We'll be ready for her when she gets off!" Kimiko pointed to the exit, but Omi sighed.

"Will we?" he sighed, unusually dejected. "How can we win when she's already defeated us twice?" Omi wondered, unhappy.

"She packs one hell of a wallop," Clay nodded.

"Even without the Tiger Claws," Kimiko had to agree.

"Hey, come on guys," Rory turned to them, putting her hands on her hips. "There's no lessons in winning, but a thousand in defeat. We need to apply what Master Fung taught us," she told her friends.

"All I've learned is: Clay won't fight a girl," Raimundo said, earning a glare from the cowboy.

"Wait, that's it," Rory snapped her fingers as a plan came to mind. She grinned at them as they all looked curious. "And don't worry Clay, you won't have to fight her," she told him with a laugh.

With adrenaline rushing through her from the coaster, Katnappe pushed open the gates with a laugh. She was having a great day in the theme park that she'd wanted to visit for years. However, her laughter stopped when she found the five Xiaolin warriors facing her. She hissed, raising an eyebrow.

"Back for more?" Katnappe taunted. "Sweet! I like kicking your butts!" she mocked.

"It is not our butts that shall be kicked," Omi replied calmly, and Clay walked forwards with his usual friendly smile. Katnappe straightened, unimpressed as he approached her.

"Howdy ma'am," he greeted, tipping his hat to her.

"Oh, right," she laughed at him. "You're gonna fight me?" Katnappe raised the Tiger Claws to attack. After a moment, Clay shrugged.

"Nope! I cannot, will not, and should not ever fight a girl," he answered, shaking his head firmly. "But technically, a bear hug ain't fighting!" Clay suddenly grabbed the girl, lifting her up and holding her in place. Katnappe thrashed and hissed, but with her arms trapped at her sides, she couldn't fight.

"Hey! Let go of me!" she shrieked, but Clay's grip on her was too tight. "Kitties! Attack!" she called, letting the kittens out of her backpack. The four kittens hissed loudly, and leapt at the others.

"Heads up!" Kimiko sounded as she ducked. The kitten leaping at her landed in Raimundo's face, and he yanked it off, wincing as its sharp claws scratched his cheeks.

"I usually like cats, but you lot are just annoying!" Rory exclaimed as she struggled not to curse at the kitten that was clinging to her hand, biting and scratching at her. Omi managed to escape the kitten that had gone for him, running over to Clay and Katnappe, and pulled the Golden Tiger Claws from her hand.

"Victory!" Omi cheered.

"Not so fast!" Rory shouted suddenly. "Company coming in," she warned as she finally managed to free her hand from the kitten.

"There she is!" Jack's voice echoed as they looked around, and they spotted him flying towards them in a small red ship that was being pulled by three robots designed to look like dogs. "Told you my Bloodhound Bots could track down Katnappe!" he laughed, releasing them. The bots barked as they surrounded the group. "Now hand over the Tiger Claws," Jack told them as he hovered in front of them. Omi groaned.

"But..I just got them," he whined.

"Yeah, that's a real tear-jerker," Jack reached out for them, but Rory slapped him away. He shrieked, pulling his hand back, and the girl cursed as one of the Bloodhound Bots growled and moved closer to her, forcing her away. Omi then sighed heavily.

"Tiger Claws!" he suddenly leapt into the air and cut a large hole in space. "Now!" he shouted to his friends, who kicked the Bloodhound Bots into the hole.

"No!" Wuya screamed as she saw Omi then yank the Claws off his hand. Without hesitation, he hurled them into the portal, and they vanished as it closed behind them.

"What did you just do?" Jack demanded, staring at the monk.

"I sent the Golden Tiger Claws to the Earth's core," Omi announced. Wuya shrieked curses, furious, and Katnappe was finally set down as Clay smirked.

"It's been nice not fighting with you, ma'am," he told her. She glared at him, determined to get him back, before turning to Omi.

"Why did you do that?" she demanded angrily. "You're so stupid!" she shouted at the boy as he turned to her, looking grim.

"Perhaps...I will never get to use the Golden Tiger Claws, but neither will you," Omi grinned up at her, finally victorious against the girl. She hissed at him and stalked over to Jack, jumping into the small ship to fly off.

"And that's victory enough for us," Kimiko grinned as they watched them vanish.

Having returned to the Temple, the five Warriors lamented the loss of the Shen Gong Wu, and took to the grounds to meditate.

"You alright, Omi?" Rory asked, unable to focus her mind properly as she thought about the sacrifice the boy had made.

"You really wanted to use those Tiger Claws," Kimiko was just as worried.

"One does not always get what one wants, Kimiko," Omi replied solemnly. Clay sighed heavily.

"Guess that's another one of Master Fung's thousand lessons," he considered, just as sad about the loss.

"These thousand lessons? I'm not getting them," Raimundo admitted, shrugging. "I get three, maybe four, tops," he told them.

"So true," Kimiko agreed.

"I don't think a thousand things can stick in my head, even if I get the lessons," Rory rapped her knuckles against the side of her head.

"Not getting all the lessons, are we?" they all looked up as Master Fung approached with Dojo. "Then perhaps a refresher is required," he held up a Jade Monkey in his hand. "I shall guard this Jade Monkey. If you can steal it from me-"

"Pass," Raimundo was on his feet and running away in an instant.

"Ditto!" Kimiko followed quickly.

"I'm good!" Rory scrambled up and ran off too.

"Wait for me!" Clay did the same.

"I mean no disrespect Master, but I'm so outta here!" Omi followed his friends, and Master Fung chuckled.

"I'd say they learned one more lesson," he said to Dojo, who was laughing as well.

"Never bet against Fung!" he nodded.
