Chapter 9: Sasine's Sacrifice
Planet Koroshi Battlefield
The battle continued on Planet Koroshi. Deathwish, together with 4 clones created from advanced technology from Universe 11, was in a fierce stand-off with Hit, Sasine, Goku, and Vegeta. The wind was wavering through the area as there was complete silence. Goku looked at the four Deathwish clones in front of him.
"Man, this guy is something else. His experience makes him even deadlier, maybe even on the same level as Hit," Goku noted from the mercenary.
"Let's just finish this quickly, he has no chance of winning after killing his superior," Vegeta told Goku strictly.
"I'm gonna have to agree with Vegeta, but I just want everything to go back to normal, and that will happen if this guy is out of the picture," Sasine explained while flexing her muscles and preparing for the battle.
"As if that's possible for an assassin like yourself, you are bound to be a killer," Vegeta told her.
"I have no choice since my entire life was sculpted to be a tool used for domination. I just want to rest, go back to my planet, and live a normal life Vegeta," Sasine explained.
Vegeta only mumbled the other way and kept his arms crossed. Then, Hit decided to walk up to Deathwish and his clones, as Deathwish himself approached Hit as well. The two rivals were standing right in front of each other in an intense face-off.
"Did you and your little friend finish your strategy?" Deathwish asked.
"Do you believe you're going to survive this encounter?" Hit retaliated against the mercenary.
"Of course, I am, I am just as capable, maybe even more so, than you are," Deathwish said when Hit only focused his pupils on Goku who was closely watching and listening to the two.
Deathwish then raised his hand, and he only snapped his fingers, signing the other clones he created to attack Goku, Vegeta, and Sasine. The Saiyan turned into their strongest form, Super Saiyan Blue, while Hit and the real Deathwish stayed behind. Goku and Vegeta flew in the sky, avoiding the shots and missiles blown at them, and Sasine entered a melee skirmish with the mercenary.
Hit then activated his Timeskip, with Deathwish needing to predict where Hit would strike next. He focused his sight around the small area and perfectly predicted where Hit would strike, appearing once again with Deathwish blocking his punch.
"This might be one of the most exciting fights ever," Deathwish noted when he then punched Hit back as he slid off the ground while crossing his arms to catch the strike.
"Didn't have time to use Timeskip then, he can perfectly predict where I'll be," Hit noted to himself when he saw Deathwish going for another attack.
The mercenary quickly grabbed the assault rifle from his holsters on his back and unloaded his weapon with many powerful and lethal bullets. Hit's quick reflexes saved him, and he managed to use Timeskip again, with the bullets traveling right through him by becoming intangible.
While Hit was in his parallel dimension, he punched the right side of the air, which was still inside his Timeksip. The blasts Hit punched appeared in the real world and from the left side of Deathwish, making the mercenary fall over from the surprise attack from the purple trench-coated assassin.
Hit reappeared right before Deathwish and tried to finish the job with one of his powerful assassination techniques, however, the moment Hit tried to attack, Deathwish pushed a button on his wrist.
The button detonated an explosion on Hit and made the assassin fly several meters away. It was something he never expected, and there was no time to avoid it. Hit was laying on the ground and when he looked up, he saw Deathwish standing tall over him while aiming his gun at Hit's head. Hit kept calm, even after the powerful explosion damaged him greatly. His composure never left his face, and his eyebrows were downed.
"Still confident of victory? I told you; I can maneuver around your Timeskip Hit, you can't surprise me, and you are not smarter than me," Deathwish explained to him strictly and confident in his abilities. "Remember, the metal these bullets are made of are from metals that can pierce through anything in all universes, as I stole it from the gods!" he explained.
Deathwish then unloaded the last bullet onto Hit, but what happened next was something he couldn't even predict. The Hit Deathwish shot in the head, suddenly vanished, as it was a clone of fake energy from the real Hit, who managed to reappear behind Deathwish. Hit puts his arm forward and his fist on Deathwish his head. Deathwish only puts his head on a quarter of the right side and notices Hit right behind him.
"The Hit you fought was just a clone of mine, created from fake energy. You never fought the real me just now, but a clone. Thanks to your little scuffle, I managed to figure out your every move, the same goes for your reaction time and arsenal," Hit explained to the mercenary in black and blue armor.
"What? It was never you in the beginning? You never fought me yourself, to begin with? I thought you didn't have any energy left to use other techniques?" Deathwish asked.
"It appears that you still managed to severely underestimate my intelligence Juki. I am still the deadliest force that has ever existed, and I have never let my target escape until you messed up my contract with Necros. So now, you will have to replace him," Hit explained confidently in his abilities as an Assassin.
"Hmmm… I see, then game on," Deathwish mumbled as he was still behind held hostage by Hit.
Sasine vs Deathwish Clone
While Hit and the real Deathwish were still fighting it out, Sasine got shot with bullets and missiles from the clone of the mercenary, but with her acrobatic skills, backflips, and slender movement, Sasine managed to avoid all the dangerous shots.
At one point, Sasine vanished by using her Timeskip to get closer to the clone, but when she reappeared behind the clone, she suddenly got a gun aimed at her, which startled the female assassin greatly. Just when the clone wanted to shoot, Sasine grabbed his arms held the gun, and swung him over her shoulder. The clone of Deathwish quickly recovered by landing on crouched knees.
"For a cheap copy, he isn't that bad, this might be more difficult than I thought," Sasine said impressed, yet thoughtful of the dangerous situation she was currently in.
"The technology for my cloning device allows him to create near-perfect copies of the user, including equipment. So, I am just slightly weaker than the original Deathwish," The Deathwish clone explained.
"Then that means I have to make sure you crumble!" Sasine said when she continued her attack on Deathwish his clone.
Sasine's battle with Deathwish caught the eye of her former peers, Kiru and Shiya, who were free of Necros his control, just like many other revenants of Planet Koroshi. They all witnessed how much stronger she has become since the last time they saw her.
"Hit is showing how much stronger he has gotten these years. He looks almost like a different person, so experienced, lethal. Much more lethal than anyone I have ever seen when Planet Koroshi was still alive. And Sasine, to think we gave her a new life on Planet Sunakku, just look at them, they are both just amazing," Kiru said out of admiration.
"Hit and Sasine were on a whole other level in the old days. To think that Hit and Sasine, both kids who had no identity, no name, and nothing to live for, are now two of the most dangerous and intelligent Assassins to have ever lived," Shiya replied.
Then slowly walking towards the two friends were Hit and Sasine's old master Satsu and former father figure, Rosu. They carefully watched the two Assassins' fits, not believing how much they have changed, seeing as they are middle-aged.
"Rosu, just look at my students, it's hard to believe that they were once the same kids who sparred during the fighting sessions. Hit, he was just a small boy wanting to be the best… by challenging Sasine. I believe that you should have just been honest with Sasine, she was our family, but I never truly liked how you followed Master Hittomanu's vision of domination and that you kept our purposes a secret," Satsu said to Rosu who kept his vision forwards, but still decided to speak up.
"Satsu, Planet Koroshi was built upon domination, I had no choice but to comply. However, Sasine is still the same orphan I found on that dead planet, she is still… my only daughter that I wronged. Still, I am happy to see that my Sasine managed to grow up to be a strong woman and expert assassin. I can't help but be proud of her," Rosu said as he got slightly emotional, seeing Sasine who has become a beautiful woman.
"Rosu, Satsu, we both never wanted to work with The Academy to brainwash Sasine, and what you did was completely wrong. If you truly care about Sasine whom you consider your only daughter, then I suggest you say what you want to say until it is too late," Shiya told them strictly.
Rosu then looked at Shiya with narrowed eyes.
"Our lives in the living world have come to an end a long time ago, and it is time to move on to the afterlife Rosu, so you might never see Sasine back after this. I suggest you tell her how you feel about her, and the many mistakes you made in your lies. If not, then she will take that with her all her life, while you are in the otherworld," Kiru told him strictly.
"There are certain things I want to tell my Sasine, but there might be one thing that I may never have the strength to tell her…" Rosu said out of sadness.
"What would that be?" Shiya asked.
"I cannot tell you that, it is something that I have kept to myself for hundreds of years, and it's… a horrible experience I never want to make Sasine experience again. She suffered a great loss back then before she died," Rosu said.
"What do you mean Rosu? What could be so important that you won't tell us about Sasine?" Satsu asked.
"I can't tell you anything about it Satsu, because the one who told me to keep it a secret… was my dear Sasine herself! No matter what, I will keep that secret and take it to me in the grave," Rosu told them in shock.
"What!" Rosu, Kiru, and Shiya both sounded.
Rosu was sweating, but he still remembered the words Kiru told him, and if he should tell Sasine before it was too late, or if he would silence himself from the truth.
Goku and Vegeta vs Deathwish clones
Meanwhile, at some other place, Goku fought the clone head-on, and Vegeta was flying while getting bombarded with bullets from the Deathwish clone. Goku and Deathwish held onto each other in a push struggle.
"I thought you were only good at using weapons, but you are not bad at all!" Goku said while grunting.
"Of course, I am a trained marine in many fighting styles. I am much more than just my weapons. Give me a task to conquer 5 planets and I will in just 5 days Goku," Deathwish replied as he then pushed Goku away while the Saiyan slid off the ground.
Goku shrug it off and shook his head to gain back his composure in the battle.
"But if you are capable of such amazing things, why do you waste your talent on being a bad guy? You should do something useful, like training and get better, help people out" Goku asked curiously.
"Oh, and who said I was a bad guy? I am fulfilling a contract because I owed Necros that I would help him kill Hit," Deathwish explained.
"But you killed Necros yourself, but you still follow his contract?" Goku asked.
"Yes, but that does not make me a bad guy, I see myself more as… neutral. Still, there is a different reason for that," Deathwish said when he then thought back about his very first fight with Hit. "The Assassin, Hit the Infallible. When I first fought him, he put me on the edge of my focus. I fought the Pride Troopers on my own, and got imprisoned by Jiren," Deathwish explained.
"Wow, you even fought the Pride Troopers? If they needed Jiren, then you must be very strong!" Goku replied shockingly at the mercenary.
"Indeed, but still, there was something about Hit that was different than fighting Jiren. You see, Jiren is a skilled warrior of course, but with Hit, it is more a battle between intelligence and experiences. I rather enjoyed a battle of skill and experience than just brawling myself out of any other fight," Deathwish explained.
"I see, Hit brings out the best in you, in your case, much more so than Jiren. He did the same for me, Hit could be even stronger if he took training more seriously, but his strategies and techniques are one of the best I have ever witnessed," Goku told Deathwish.
"Exactly, so if I take Hit down, I will prove myself that I am superior to a worthy adversary," Deathwish explained.
"Kakarot!" Vegeta shouted while he shot numerous energy blasts toward Deathwish. "What are you standing around gawking for?!" he shouted.
While Goku was distracted, Deathwish quickly tried to draw his weapon and shoot Goku, but the Saiyan was much more prepared and simply avoided the bullet easily.
"You won't get me that easily, you can't catch me off guard with those things," Goku replied.
Vegeta then vanished and stood next to Goku, while the other Deathwish clone decided to join it with his counterpart.
"Kakarot, this guy is getting on my nerves, those peashooters are getting more and more irritating to get around," Vegeta noted.
"This guy is using them like a true professional, and those bullets can hurt us, just like what happened to you Vegeta," Goku said.
"To think something so pathetic would hurt me," Vegeta said irritated at his wounds.
"Vegeta, I think I have an idea, maybe if we can take away his weapons, we force him to fight us head-on instead of from a distance. If we are too far, he will have an advantage, so we must keep him close," Goku told him while whispering.
"If that's what it takes," Vegeta said when charged his Deathwish clone head-on, as Goku did the same as well.
The Saiyan fought them 1 on 1 to get the advantage in the skirmish, but the clones did not budge and entered the skirmish together with the Saiyans. However, the skirmish didn't take long as Goku and Vegeta took some steps back again.
The Deathwish clones looked at each other and noticed something was different. Goku and Vegeta showed that they took away Deathwish's guns, thus losing his range advantage.
"Looking for this you freak?" Vegeta asked.
"Now you won't have anything to use as a weapon!" Goku told him.
"Hmm… such a bummer," one of the Deathwish clones said when he then puts his left arm up and showed his wrist containing a button. "Then we just do this," he said when he pushed the button.
Goku and Vegeta were shocked to see what it was, and when he pushed the button, both Goku and Vegeta exploded, falling far back to the ground.
"Daah! What the heck was that!" Goku asked.
"He wanted us to take his weapons away, he rigged them with some sort of explosive device," Vegeta replied.
"Of course, I knew you two would go for my guns, I have plenty of weapons in my arsenal to take care of you two!" the Deathwish clones told the Saiyans.
The Saiyan quickly jumped off the ground and noticed the two clones charging them head-on, and the skirmish continued once again, but with Deathwish gaining an advantage over the Saiyan, even in their Super Saiyan Blue transformation.
Hit vs Deathwish
Hit shot several purple rays of light toward Deathwish who used his acrobatics to avoid all the rays inside Hit's Timeskip. It was difficult for Hit to get a lock on to Deathwish due to his speed. When he couldn't get Deathwish, he decided to use his Timeskip to make sure he would hit his target.
However, that was exactly what Deathwish wanted to do. The moment Hit used his Timeskip, Deathwish puts his hand on his utility belt. Meanwhile, Hit was moving inside of his Timeskip and tried to get in a fatal blow on Deathwish, but when he exited the Timeskip, Hit got directly shot by Deathwish his weapon in the chest.
"Daahhh!" Hit shouted in pain when he fell back.
He landed on the ground and coughed up a lot of blood, he puts his hand on his bullet wound to avoid too much blood loss.
"Damnit, he adapted to my Timeskip," Hit said to himself.
Deathwish then slowly walked up to Hit. "Looks like you're already out of options, this proves I am vastly superior," Deathwish said when he then aimed his gun at Hit.
Somewhere else, Sasine dodged many of the Deathwish clone's attacks, when she suddenly felt a certain surge in her Timeskip. She then looked at Hit in the far distance and noticed that he was laying on the ground. Sasine then pushed the clone away and immediately activated her Timeskip.
As Deathwish still aimed his weapon, he puts his finger on the trigger. "Eventually, everything comes to an end. Goodbye Hit, it's been fun," Deathwish said when he then let out a final shot.
But when he did, Hit then vanished from existence. Deathwish looked around the area and noted that he had completely vanished without any trace. Currently, inside the Timeskip, Sasine, and Hit were both together safely in their parallel dimension.
Sasine crouched down to Hit's level and grabbed a small and soft piece of paper to clean Hit's wound.
"How much does it hurt? Can you still fight?" Sasine asked.
"I'll survive, he missed my vital organs. I managed to avoid the killing blow just in time, but I didn't have the time to dodge his weapons," Hit explained.
"But why didn't you adapt like how you fought against me?" Sasine asked.
"I did adapt, I am getting sloppier with the Timeskip the longer I fight, and I am too fatigued from before. My energy is draining more and more if I don't watch out," Hit explained.
"Hmmm… yes, I see you have been using a lot more energy than usual. We need to be smarter about this. Hit, you must think, is there anything you know about him that can help you?" Sasine said when she puts her hand on her chin.
Hit then tried to stand on his feet again, Sasine quickly helped him up, and held him from falling to the ground. Hit was already weakened from before, and thus, more strain on his body caused a huge disadvantage for the Assassin.
"I am not sure; I couldn't figure out his weakness yet. Usually, I can figure it out in just one match, but this guy, I need more time to figure him out," Hit replied to her
"Then, I think it's best if we have to fight him together," Sasine explained.
"I could have beaten him as I did before… I don't need any help; I can do this…" Hit said when he then puts his hand on his wound again from the pain.
Sasine saw the determination in his eyes to keep going, but that same determination would be his death of him. Sasine then held onto Hit again.
"Hit, please, just listen to me for once. You are strong, and probably one of the most skilled Assassins to have ever lived. I knew you were going to be great when we were kids, and I have always admired your determination, composure, and intelligence," Sasine explained.
Hit then looked at Sasine who was completely sincere in everything she said. She was more worried about her friend than anything.
"What are you…" Hit said when Sasine then puts her hand on his mouth.
"No… no, let me finish," Sasine said when she continued, and Hit kept listening. "I was wrong to think that you would try and ruin my life, you saved me from a horrible future, and you gave me a new life for me to lead. I met my husband… because of my best friend! So, listen to me when I tell you this!" she said when she then removed her hand from Hit's mouth.
He was able to speak but decided to listen to what the female assassin had to say.
"I lost my childhood friends, my masters, and my father figure who raised me since I was just a toddler! You are the only real friend from the past that I have left. Drop your armor of pride and just let me help you, you idiot! I don't want you to die as well!" Sasine shouted in pure emotion while gasping for air after her tantrum.
Hit kept looking at Sasine. He didn't answer while the female assassin kept holding onto her friend. Hit sighed and stood up tall, still hurt from his wound, but he needed the strength to continue.
"Sasine," Hit then said when the female assassin looked at Hit.
"Do you remember the technique I showed you after our very first sparring session?" Hit asked.
"Huh? Which one?" Sasine asked.
Hit then clenched his fist and punched the air, only showing a ray of light traveling. Sasine immediately knew what that technique was.
"Oh, that one, yeah I remember, I think I can do it too," Sasine answered.
"I have a plan. Deathwish seems to learn more about the Timeskip and knows when and how to strike when we exit our dimension. We must use this to our advantage and strike when he does not expect it, making him overthink his actions. Every time both of us use the Timeskip, modify my technique to make sure it does not only travel through him but also destroyed his cloning device and his armor," Hit explained.
"Wait, destroy his cloning device and his armor?" Sasine asked.
"When you went on your tantrum, you gave me an idea of how to beat him. His armor is equipped with many highly advanced weapons and protection. If we break down his armor and destroy his device, then he won't have anything to use anymore and we can beat him," Hit explained.
"Ah, of course, I remember him telling me that he used a cloning device! Why didn't I think of that? He can only use those weapons when he must fight on a certain range, but up close, those weapons are useless!" Sasine explained.
"Correct, make sure to assist me if he has a lock on me, and I will assist you when he has a lock on you. If we keep going, then we can break down his armor," Hit said.
"Hold on, remember, when we exit the Timeskip, Deathwish might have some trick up his sleeve," Sasine explained.
"Leave that to me, I will first locate his device, then we go for his armor" Hit said when he then puts his hand on Sasine's shoulder, and both became intangible. "Let go of the Timeskip Sasine, we save this way," he said.
Sasine thought for a moment as she realized something important. She looked at Hit and noticed that he was even weaker than before.
Sasine let go of the Timeskip; indeed, Deathwish and his clone were waiting for them to return. He tried to shoot both with a barrage of bullets, but the bullets went right through the two skilled Assassins. Sasine holds her arms crossed and Hit his arms down and a neutral expression on his face.
"You didn't think that would work, do you?" Sasine asked confidently.
"Seems like you two were too scared to face me head-on," Deathwish told them.
"Hopefully you are ready to fight again, Hit is already on his last breath, it will only be a matter of time before both of you meet your demise," the Deathwish clone said as he then looked at Hit.
Sasine noticed Hit as well, he was sweating and slightly gasping, showing his fatigue more and more. Sasine only narrowed her eyes and then turned back around. Then, Sasine stepped closer to Hit to protect him. But still, the assassin's tenacity showed great resilience as he stood back in his fighting stance.
"I'm fine Sasine, don't worry about me, focus on breaking that device," Hit told her quietly.
"Change of plans, I got a better idea, so follow my lead," Sasine told him when she led the assault on the mercenary.
Sasine only nods and focused her sights on Deathwish again. "I'll take on both of you, Hit is too weak and tired to do anything of use. Try your luck out on me," Sasine prompted Deathwish for a response.
Both Deathwish and his clone looked at each other and only shrug their shoulders. They then grabbed their machine guns from their holsters and aimed for Sasine.
Meanwhile, Sasine only pushed Hit as he fell to the ground, but when he did, he suddenly entered Sasine's Timeskip, vanishing from existence, and only leaving the Sasine with the original and clone of Deathwish behind.
"What are you doing…!" Hit shouted when he was inside Sasine's Timeskip. He was trapped she could not use his Timeskip to escape, and he did not know what was going on.
"I can't use my Timeskip, I'm trapped until Sasine deactivates it. What is she doing! She can't take on two versions of Deathwish on her own! She will die!" Hit said when he looked around.
Sasine vs Deathwish
Sasine was left alone and had to face off against Deathwish and his clone, clearly being overpowered, but she did not let that bother her. Only one thing was on her mind: to protect her dearest friend.
"Hit is too tired because he tried to hold back an entire army, if he makes one mistake, he will die. I must protect him at all costs, I owe him that much," Sasine told herself while she faced the mercenary.
Sasine was fighting Deathwish and his clone at the same time. She had to use her flexibility to avoid long-range attacks. While she was avoiding his bullets, Sasine looked closely at Deathwish his equipment. Nothing she saw yet looked like the device the mercenary used to clone himself until she remembered how he made the clones.
She remembered that Deathwish used the utility belt on his waist to push a green button to create the duplicates. "That's it, the belt, if I can get a hold on that belt, I can get rid of the clones," Sasine said to herself.
Sasine charged the Deathwish clone head-on and attacked with a barrage of kicks and punches, keeping him on the ropes. While Sasine was fighting the clone, Deathwish saw an opportunity to shoot Sasine as he raised his weapon and unloaded the clip. Right, when he started shooting, Sasine jumped out of the way and Deathwish his clone caught all the bullets. The protective vest shielded him from many bullets, but some still managed to get through to him.
Deathwish realized what he did as Sasine looked at the clone slowly disintegrating on the ground.
"Wow, there goes one," Sasine said confidently to herself.
Deathwish only shook his head. "Defeating one clone won't safe you or Hit!" Deathwish said when he charged her once again.
Sasine was dodging his deadly strikes. In the middle of the skirmish, he grabbed a knife from his utility belt and tried to stab the assassin. Sasine jumped back to gain some space while gasping for air. She took a small look at the utility belt and the green button.
"You scared little girl?" Deathwish challenged her.
"I must force him to make a mistake… I think I got it," Sasine said when she went out of fighting stance.
Sasine was glowing for just a split second, but the glow quickly disappeared as Sasine made sure she didn't make it look too obvious.
"Deathwish… or… Juki, as I remembered. Is that your real name? Sounds unusual, your codename is Deathwish, but your real name is Juki…" Sasine told him.
"What?" Deathwish asked curiously.
"I'm just saying, what kind of name is Juki? What does it mean?" Sasine asked.
Deathwish didn't answer her call, but Sasine continued.
"I mean, I got a lot of questions. For starters, you told me that you loved women… now… what was the reason you tried to hit on me exactly? Was it my wit? My charm? Killer body? I mean am I pretty…" Sasine talked as Deathwish interrupted her almost immediately.
"Sasine, how long do you intend to try and distract me? Are you trying to buy Hit some time to recover? The moment he returns to the real world, I already have something special for him," Deathwish told her smartly.
"I am not planning anything, Hit is just doing his own thing until he can return, and… seriously? Not my wit or my charm?" Sasine still asked him afterward.
Deathwish ran towards her and entered another skirmish, but this time, he changed his timing, his fighting style, and more. His knife skills were getting sharper and more focused. Sasine had a difficult time avoiding him this time.
The mercenary managed to trip the silver trenchcoated assassin off her feet, making her trip. In a flash, Deathwish appeared behind Sasine who tripped over from Deathwish his assault, and finally, Deathwish stabbed Sasine right in the back with his knife.
The shock came quickly to Sasine, as she couldn't move anymore. The knife was deep in her back, and she quickly fell to the ground, in shock and bleeding. Deathwish stood right next to her while she was bleeding out
"Look at the powerful Assassin, coughing and gasping for air. Not such a smart mouth, are you? And no Timeskip for you to use? Too bad," Deathwish asked.
As Sasine was still coughing, her coughs and gasps slowly turned into the smallest grin and laughter. Deathwish didn't know what exactly was going on, but he decided to let her speak.
"What are you laughing about?" Deathwish asked.
Sasine only slowly move her arms, and in her arm, was Deathwish his green button for his cloning device. It showed that she managed to rip the button off his belt. Deathwish was shocked to see the button and noticed that his cloning device was completely broken.
"You were never trying to fight me, you tried to destroy my technology!" Deathwish shouted angrily. "You're dead!" he yelled angrily when he quickly grabbed a handgun and pointed his gun at Sasine who was still wounded and laying on the ground.
But just when Deathwish wanted to unload the weapon, he then got shot away by an energy beam from Goku. Vegeta charged toward Deathwish with full force.
"Your filthy copies aren't around here to help you anymore, now I will take you down!" Vegeta shouted.
"As if I need them to kill you all!" Deathwish responded as he fought with Vegeta.
Goku attended to Sasine who was still laying wounded on the ground.
"Sasine, are you all right?!" Goku shouted as he tried to help her, but when he pulled her up, Sasine declined.
"Don't… Goku, if you pick me up, I'll bleed out further…" Sasine responded softly.
"Where is Hit? Didn't he help you?" Goku asked when he looked around the area.
Sasine only raised her hand, and she released Hit from her parallel dimension. Hit appeared back in the real world as he looked around, he noticed Goku sitting next to her.
"What happened?!" Hit asked as she quickly approached.
"It's done… Hit, his clones are gone, and he has no allies… He's all yours," Sasine told him.
Hit only looked at her back and noticed the knife. "If I pull it out, you will die," Hit responded as he then looked at Goku. "Goku, where are those healing beans of yours? Didn't you have some with you?" He asked.
"I am sorry. I don't have any Sensu with me. It will take some time to contact Lord Beerus and Whis to help us out. Vegeta and I came here quickly, and I didn't think of taking them with me when we went to Lord Beerus his planet," Goku responded.
Hit only looked at Sasine and crouched down next to her. Goku gave him some space.
"Why did you go in there alone? I told you to follow my lead!" Hit scolded her.
"You're on your last breath Hit, you used too much energy on those copies you made for the undead. One mistake against Deathwish, and you would have died, I could not risk that," Sasine responded.
Hit only looked at her, and he couldn't answer her.
"Hit, I am so sorry for everything I did to you. I should have known Rosu and the others… were no good to me," Sasine told him.
"You came to the light in the end, I had to make sure you understood that telling you would have left you a broken person," Hit told her.
"I realized that I put my whole life, into Planet Koroshi, being an Assassin. However, everyone saw me as a tool of domination, but not you…" Sasine said genuinely.
Hit was listening closely to her. At the same time, Kiru, Shiya, Satsu, and Rosu both saw Sasine laying on the ground while Hit was holding her and quickly ran up to the duo and the Saiyan.
"Sasine! No!" Shiya shouted as the group quickly approached her.
"Kiru, Shiya, I am so happy to see you guys again, I might join you soon," Sasine said while crying.
"But you can't die again! What will…" Shiya said when she then looked at Hit who took it much harder than anyone.
"Sasine, you do not deserve this faith," Rosu said to her.
"After being raised by you, I might deserve it after all," Sasine retorted as she then looked back at Hit. "I don't think I have much time left Hit, but…" Sasine spoke as she coughed up more blood.
"You were always distant to me, making me force you, to become more friendly. You needed friends in your life. I am glad to have been your friend, even if you don't see me as one," Sasine explained as she tried to let out one last thing. "Thank you for saving my life, giving me a new one, a better one, and being my best friend. I wish I could… tell you that… I… had… a…" Sasine spoke softly.
Those were her last words before she succumbs to her wound. Sasine passed away in Hit's arms. The purple-coated Assassin only looked at Sasine who died in her arms. Rosu listened closely to what Sasine wanted to say, as he was the only one who could know what Sasine meant, but he kept it to himself.
At that moment, Hit regained the memory of holding Sasine's dead body when he was the one who killed her in the past, bringing back memories he wished didn't return, of killing one of his dear friends.
"This was not meant to happen!" Hit said infuriated.
Shiya and Kiru both comforted Hit, as the Assassin looked at his childhood friends next to him.
"Hit, let us take care of Sasine, don't worry, you know we will take good care of her," Kiru told him in comfort.
"But promise me that you will kill the man that did this to us!" Shiya told Hit infuriated.
Hit then looked at Goku, while his red eyes were glowing brightly. Goku has never seen Hit that angry and even he got nervous about seeing an expert killer like Hit this way.
"Goku, help Kiru and Shiya take care of Sasine and do not interfere in this fight. Deathwish is my enemy, and I will kill him myself," Hit told him.
Goku only nodded in agreement and stayed next to Sasine as Hit stood up off the ground and noticed Vegeta fighting Deathwish. Hit was still weak, and his energy was still depleted from the fight, but he didn't care in any way. He used the Timeskip and vanished from thin air.
Hit reappeared in between Deathwish and Vegeta, as he held the mercenary's arm and Vegeta's leg. Hit only looked at Vegeta.
"Do not interfere Vegeta, or you are dead," Hit told the Saiyan coldly.
"What makes you think you can…" Vegeta tried to respond, but Goku then quickly called out to the Saiyan Prince.
"Vegeta no!" Goku shouted as he nodded in disagreement to the Prince.
Vegeta only downed his eyebrows, then looked at Hit, and noticed the extreme killing intent in his eyes. The Prince then looked at the ground and noticed that Sasine had died. Vegeta looked back at Hit and decided to step back from the fight, crossing his arms.
"Fine, he's yours," Vegeta said when he slowly floats towards Goku and left the fight to the assassin.
Hit approached Deathwish on the battlefield, and the Assassin and the Mercenary were face to face once again.
"You will die," Hit exclaimed.
"Go ahead and try it," Deathwish said when he stood in a fighting stance.
Hit and Deathwish their final encounter will occur, with Hit using his final technique to defeat Deathwish.
