Chapter IX

The Genin left the room after completing the exam. Naruto figured out that they had to cheat to pass the exam, and they also had to take the tenth question because it showed that they were ready to take risks.

Naruto had to duel Lee as she promised, in what looked like a floor below the exam building. She was there along with Sasuke and Sakura. "Naruto why did you drag us here? Lee probably won't even show up." Sakura said, irritated.

"Sakura is right, you're wasting our time." Sasuke added on. Almost as if on queue, Lee appeared in the room.

"Yoshi! You have showed up! Let's duel!" Lee said excitedly. "Alright then." Naruto said. She squared up, and Lee did the same.

Lee lunged toward Naruto, but she suddenly activated her Rinnegan and placed him in a genjutsu. "I don't feel like trying that hard." She said as she held him and put him to the floor. Neji and Tenten arrived shortly after.

"I told him he shouldn't have challenged her." Tenten said as she rubbed her temples in exasperation. She took Lee out of Naruto's hands.

"How did you defeat him so quickly?" The Byakugan user asked Naruto. She turned to him. "Ocular genjutsu." she said.

"But you can only use a Byakugan. Unless.. you stole eyes from the Uchiha." The Genin accused her. "Neji!" Tenten said. He held his palm up toward Tenten to silence her.

Naruto activated her Rinnegan. "I'm not like those pathetic Uchiha. I have visual prowess that they could only dream of. I will do this to you, though. Bansho Tenin!" Neji was pulled toward Naruto. Sakura screamed as Naruto grabbed Neji by the throat and slammed him to the floor. "And don't forget that I said that."

Tenten gasped and got ready to defend her male teammate. "Don't bother." Naruto said without looking at her, "I'll end you too." Tenten took the warning and then escaped with Neji and Lee in her arms, approaching the location of the next phase of the Chunin Exams.

Naruto left the room, and beckoned the rest of Team 7 to go with her.

"What the hell was that Naruto?" Sakura asked her as they were walking. "You are a horrible person. You've caused nothing but trouble the whole time you were here, you fucking demon!" Naruto stopped walking, and said "Don't expect me to help you in these exams." as she left through a tear in space-time.

"Great job, Sakura. You made us lose our number one ally." Sasuke said sarcastically. "You useless bitch." he continued as he walked away from Sakura. She sighed, as she tried to stop tears from running down her face. She tried to put up with Naruto, really, she did. But the hatred that she carried for her was just too much. Sasuke hated her more than she did, but at least he could understand that Naruto was their ticket out of the Chunin Exams.

There was an uncanny semblance, with Naruto being so pragmatic and cold like her predecessor, Kaguya. She stood in the field in front of the Forest of Death, where Anko Mitarashi explained the nature of the competition— they were assigned either an Earth or Heaven scroll, and they were to find the opposing one through combat, and bring it to the tower in the center of the forest within a week.

During that, a certain Genin with a wide hat ambled behind Naruto, finally making an appearance behind her in a fashion that could be misinterpreted as erotic, with the way the inconspicuous Genin showcased her long tongue. "I'm delighted to play alongside you in thiss... competition, Naruto." the Genin almost sung quietly to her. Naruto side-eyed the strange figure, taking a step away as to alleviate her disgust. She did her best to ignore the Genin.

This human is like a cockroach. I want him eviscerated. Kaguya thirsted in Naruto's thoughts. She basked in Naruto's senses, seeing what she sees, hearing what she hears.

Naruto was unsure of the whereabouts of her teammates, and frankly, she didn't care— her only goal was to revive the God Tree, in all of its divine glory. If it required massacre, so be it. She was assigned to the northmost entrance of the forest, and she waited for the event to start.

It was the eighth hour of the competition, and Naruto had encountered Team 8— Lee, Neji, and Ten-Ten. She stalked them from the bushes and trees surrounding the area as she activated her Byakugan. The veins in her temples and forehead pulsed as she looked at their chakra systems; Lee's was negligible, Ten-Ten was unremarkable, and Neji was only intermediate.

"You hear that?" Ten-ten spoke in a hushed tone to her squadron.

"Yes.. it's in the bushes. Whoever you are, come out of hiding!" Neji took the lead, per usual.

Shit! Naruto cursed them in her head. She used her space-time ninjutsu to appear in front of them. "Hello." She greeted them, "What scroll do you have?" She displayed her Earth scroll.

The team immediately went on guard, Neji to Naruto's right with his Byakugan active, Lee in the front, and Ten-Ten to Naruto's left, although slightly behind Neji as well. They were in a clearing of the forest, one with a well-trodden dirt area. It was mostly clear, perfect for combat. "Mighty youthful Naruto-kun! You'll have to find out through battle with us!" Lee responded with his usual charm.

"So I have to kill you first if I even want to find out what scroll you have." Naruto threatened. The team remained silent, analyzing Naruto's every move.

She walked toward them.
