Gil leaned on the railing of the Lost Revenge, while he stared in the distance. He saw how another group of refugees crossed the bridge, searching for a safe haven in Auradon. In the meanwhile most of the citizens of Auradon had left the city and had fled to other kingdoms.

Jay had wasted no time to show Mal the list his father had given him. After Mal saw the ongoing list of all the villains who wanted revenge she quickly decided it was time to take a stand. King Ben and his queen declared war on Gaston LeGume. As answer Gaston claimed the Isle of the Lost has his own kingdom, which meant Ben and Mal had no choice than declare war on the entire Isle and all its inhabitants. Many people were forced to leave their homes on the Isle, scared for Gaston's terror and scared to be accused of siding with the fake king. The only place they could flee to was the city of Auradon, which caused to get the city more crowded with every passing day.

To somehow protect the city from the incoming refugees they used Jafar's list to detect any possible traitors and spies. Everyone which name was written on the list and dared to cross the border got arrested, which also meant a lot of VK's got arrested as well.

Gil remembered the shock in Harry's eyes when he learned his dad name was on the list, making his older and younger sister fugitives. Gil knew Harriet and CJ very well and actually spend a lot of time with them when he was younger. Unlike Gil, Harry actually had a strong bond with his sisters. But he didn't say a word about this to Mal and Ben, only telling them he had no idea where they could be. Gil knew he was probably lying, but Harry would never betray his sisters, even if it was true that they were siding with Gaston.

Gil sighed helplessly as he watched it all happen before him. He felt worthless, while it was his dad that caused so much suffering. He didn't want to think about how they had the chance to prevent this all from happening, if they had just tried to lure his dad in an ambush. Gil shook his head. They never would've succeeded. His dad never lose. No matter what, he never gave up. Gil clenched his teeth with fear, wondering how they were going to defeat his dad. They had to somehow. They had to at least try before giving up, even while his dad was raising an army of the most dangerous villains on the Isle.

"Should we tell them things aren't much better here?" Harry joked beside him.

Gil looked up. He hadn't even heard Harry walking towards him, even though It was quiet during the early evening. Just a few of the other crew mates were on the deck, but they were just softly talking to each other.

"I still think it's nice here," Gil replied truthfully. Harry presence made him forget about his worries for a moment. It suddenly felt less lonely, even though he hadn't been alone on the deck to begin with. Harry laughed back at him, even though without any joy.

"That's because you found love. Of course you believe it's better here," Harry said to him.

"The food is much better too," Gil replied.

"Won't be much food left if so many people keep coming this way," Harry responded.

"And the air is much better too. Doesn't smell so bad as on the Isle," Gil added.

"The air won't be so sweet for long when it will be filled with smoke and the scent of death."

Gil looked over at the first mate, a deep frown in his forehead. "You really need to put it like that?" he asked a bit worried.

Harry tilted his head and send him a smirk. "You might call it pessimistic, I call it realistic. This whole city is going to be a dump if they keep it up like this." Harry gestured at the refugees on the bridge. Gil just nodded in agreement. Harry was usually right about things like that. Besides, he wasn't sure what pessimistic meant.

"They have nowhere else to go," Gil silently reasoned.

"Well, that's their problem, isn't it," Harry responded harshly. Gil looked up at him for a moment, hesitant about how he should respond. Harry had been more and more bitter the last few days. The news about his sisters affected Harry more than he ever wanted to admit.

"You've heard anything from Harriet or CJ?" Gil dared to asked. He wasn't sure if it was wise to be asking about them, but he needed to know if they were alright as well. Just the day before the guards captured Yzla and Zevon, daughter and son of Yzma, just because their mother's name was on the list. They had been living in Auradon for a few weeks, both swore they hadn't spoken to their mother since then. They still got taken away, since they had no evidence to prove their words. The same faith could easily happen to Harriet and CJ. Nobody spoke about it out loud, but they all knew, even Gil.

Just as Gil expected Harry looked down for a moment. He quietly stared at the waves that softly hit the ship. Harry wasn't really surprised when he learned his dad's name was on the list as well. He knew his father didn't care much for Auradon, but he still held a burning grudge against Peter Pan. Gaston probably promised Captain Hook a way to get his revenge on the boy, which served as an excellent bate for the former captain. Harry didn't blame his dad, knowing why his dad still hated the kid so much.

"Still haven't heard from them yet," Harry finally answered. Gil could see how the news of his sisters affected him, even though Harry quickly hid his fears with a confident smirk.

"Harriet isn't stupid," Harry said about his older sister. "And she not self-centred like all those other Villain Kids either. She knows the Smee twins live up here. She wouldn't do anything to hurt them."

Gil raised his eyebrows towards Harry, a slight smile on his face. He knew Harriet didn't just think about Squeaky and Squirmy, she would also be considerate about her brother as well. She had always taken care of her younger siblings when their parents were not around. She had even taken Gil under her wings, having his back when he needed her to.

"What about CJ?" Gil asked carefully.

"That spoiled little brad," Harry gruntled through his teeth. "She definitely sticks with dad. Always been dad's perfect little girl."

Gil chuckled, even though without much joy. He knew Harry loved his little sister as well, no matter what he said. The two of them had always been up to mischief together, which often left Harriet to clean up the mess afterwards. He had always felt at home with them. The Hook family had welcomed him with open arms, even when his own dad and brothers had rejected him. Gil suddenly looked up in shock when a sudden thought crossed his mind.

"Aren't you on the list as well?" Harry chuckled when he heard the slight panic in Gil's voice.

"I always make sure I have a good alibi," Harry said with his usually confident smirk. He would never admit it out loud, but Gil showing he cared made him feel a little better. He could see how his answer put Gil back at ease. Gil leaned on the railing once more. He had a slight smile on his face, even though Harry could still see the concern in his eyes.

"Good," Gil said relieved. "I don't know what we would've done without you."

"And what am I supposed to do without you?" Gil laughed, as if Harry had just made a joke. Harry eyes grew wider for a moment. It wasn't a joke, at least not for him. "You don't need me," Gil said, still smiling at Harry. He spoke in a joyful manner, but Harry knew Gil believed his own words. He was wrong though. He did need him. A lot in a matter of fact.

Gil still watched the group of refugees when they finally made it across the bridge, where the guards stopped them, making sure none of them were on the list.

"I still think they take it too far," Gil said, when he saw how the guards questioned a little kid. "You know, I'm on that list as well."

It was Harry's turn to laugh again, when he heard Gil talking in a serious tone.

"You were already on the first list," Harry said, but then laid an arm on Gil's shoulder and leaned on him. "But don't worry, they won't take you anywhere."

"Jay wouldn't allow it," Gil replied smiling.

"I wouldn't allow it!"

For the second time Gil didn't notice the hurt on Harry's face. Harry looked away, even though he still kept his arm around Gil, keeping him close. He could feel the movement in Gil's shoulder when Gil just shrugged it off. As if his words didn't matter at all.

Harry tried to think about something to say, something to make Gil realize how much he was worth, when the annoying sound of his buzzing cell phone ruined the moment. Harry reached in his pocket irritated, saw the same name on his display and pushed it away. Gil frowned at him when he angrily put his phone back in his pocket.

"Audrey is trying to reach you again?" Gil asked casual. He was getting more curious, but Gil knew from experience that Harry didn't like prying eyes and irrelevant questions.

"Why don't we go visit our queen," Harry said, ignoring the question. Gil slowly nodded, while he followed Harry to the little captain's cabin on the ship. It was obvious Harry didn't want to talk about what was going on.

Uma looked up and immediately a smile appeared on her face when she saw the two boys walking in.

"Still busy with your administration?" Harry asked and returned a smile. He sat down on the chair opposite of her desk.

"I can't say someone did a good job on it when I was absent," Uma replied judgemental, even though she still smiled warmly at him. Harry just shrugged. They all knew he wasn't a fan off doing paperwork and it wasn't like he could pass the task on to Gil either. So he had decided to just neglect it, even though Uma obviously didn't share the same opinion.

"Also, do we have anymore new recruits?" Uma asked, changing the subject.

"A lot of people have requested to join the pirate crew, but we don't have any hammocks left for them to sleep in. They can't stay on the ship."

"Jay told me the dorm rooms in Auradon prep are all full as well," Gil joined the conversation.

"Completely jam-packed," Harry added sighing. Uma frowned as well. She hoped that as many people as possible would leave the Isle, since it meant less protentional enemies. But all those people still needed to be fed and needed a place to sleep.

She looked up when she heard a phone buzzing. She saw how Harry quickly silenced it, not even bothering to find out who was calling him.

"Again?" she asked harshly, the warmth on her face completely disappeared. She wasn't like Gil. She wasn't planning to hide her discontent to spare Harry's feeling. Gil quickly turned away. He wished they could just smile at each other again, dance together, tease each other ever so often. In short, making him wish Jay was present as well. Instead their bickering made him wish it was like when they were all trapped on the Isle. Before Uma had left them, not knowing if she'd ever came back.

Harry looked back at her, a challenging glimmer in his eyes. "I can't help it if she feels the need to call me every other minute," Harry replied to her.

"Why don't you just break up with her?" Her question was valid and Gil looked up as well. He had been wondering about it as well, but he hadn't dare to ask.

"Ignoring all of her calls should be clear enough as a hint," Harry answered nonchalant. Uma stared intensely at him, as if she tried to read his mind. She then sighed and turned back to her paperwork. It was clear she wanted to change the subject again, when she looked back up at her two boys.

"It's not my fault she got so attached to me after we spend two nights together," Harry said loudly towards Uma. Uma looked up in surprise, while Gil turned away again. He wished for Harry to let it slide, but he also knew that wasn't Harry's approach of things.

"Do whatever you want with her," Uma replied. She sounded cold, like she really didn't care. But Gil knew this wasn't the case. It couldn't be. Uma saw how Harry clenched his fist on the arm rests of the chair, as if he could jump up every second.

"I kissed her once and she already told all her friends she had a new boyfriend," Harry continued. "People in Auradon are way too sentimental, that's not my fault."

"Harry, I don't care," Uma stated once more.

"Gil!"

Gil looked up in confusion when Harry suddenly cried out his name.

"Yes?" he said hesitant. He turned towards his first mate. Before he could comprehended what was happening Harry grabbed his collar and pulled him into a kiss. Uma saw how Gil stumbled over and had to grab the chair so he wouldn't fall over. Harry had his eyes closed, while he held a tight grip on Gil's shirt. Gil still had his eyes wide open with shock, but besides that didn't put up any resistance.

Before Uma got the chance to react, Harry already pushed Gil away again. He didn't even pay attention to him, but stared right back at Uma.

"You see," he said to her. "No strings attached." With those words Harry stood up and walked straight to the door. Gil carefully watched him when Harry passed by. He was quietly licking his lips, trying to get the taste off his mouth. He even cringed a little when Harry slammed the door shut and left. Uma still sat behind her desk. She didn't even notice she quickly blinked with her eyes multiple times, watching the closed door. She then turned towards Gil.

"What was that all about?" she asked harshly to him. Gil slowly looked up to her.

"It's alright. Harry just does that sometimes," Gil answered. He shrugged, while he slightly smiled to her.

Uma could tell it wasn't alright. He had his back against the wall, trying to be invisible. He didn't break eye contact and there was still a smile on his face, but Uma could see the uncertainty in his eyes. Uma had seen Harry and Gil kiss before, but never in that matter. Gil had someone waiting for him this time. Another guy who was always on his mind, even at that moment. He tried to hide it behind a smile, but it wasn't alright. Not anymore. Uma swallowed the lump in her throat. Harry had always been a flirt, but he indeed went too far lately. Uma stood up from behind her desk and for a moment Gil looked away in fear.

"You don't have to do everything he says," Uma said and tried to sound calm. Her anger was mostly set on Harry and less on Gil. "You can refuse him, even though he is your first mate. Definitely when he pulls stunts like this."

Gil slightly nodded to her. He licked his lips once more, when Uma reminded him off the kiss.

"You better make sure it doesn't happen again, if you want your relationship to last a little longer than Harry's and his girlfriend." Gil could hear how Uma spit out the last word. He quickly nodded again. Just like Harry had done before she walked pass him, not even looking over at him. She left the cabin, searching for any sign of Harry, and Gil was suddenly left alone in the small chamber.

He immediately dropped the smile and let his back fall against the wooded wall. He licked his lips once more, followed with his fingers rubbing over them. He didn't understand. He wasn't mad at Harry, not at all. It was fine, it had always been fine. No strings attached, just like Harry had said.

But he still felt conflicted. He had seen his dad kiss other women when he was married to someone else. He had seen his brothers come home with another girl every night. He had seen those women crying, screaming their names in anger and despair. Gil remembered the woman who had lived with them for quite some time, who had looked at him with eyes red from crying. She had yelled at him, saying he would end up as his dad, using and devouring women.

Gil sighed and left the cabin as well. He was glad he didn't see any sign off Uma or Harry. He grabbed his phone and scrolled through his contacts. Gil knew he shouldn't tell Jay about what had just happened, but he still longed to hear his voice. He wanted to see his smile, feel the warmth of his touch and taste his kiss. And only his kiss. Gil didn't even see the little boy standing in his way when he walked off the ship and over the peer, almost bumping into the kid when he jumped in front of him.

"I am looking for Gil. Are you Gil?" the boy asked.

Gil looked up from his phone and frowned at him. It was just a small kid, maybe ten years old and it was clear he came from the Isle. His clothes were dirty and ragged. He was wearing just one shoe and the other one was completely worn. His short brown hair was a mess and was also filled with dirt. The kid was trembling, probably from fear, even though he still tried to be brave. Gil didn't recognize him, even though he had seen many children like that before.

"Yes, I'm Gil," he answered the boy's question. The boy quickly grabbed an envelope from his pocket and reached it towards him.

"They told me I had to give this directly to you," the boy said.

Gil looked at it for a moment, surprised to see the second letter that ever got delivered to him. A little hesitant the took it from the little boy. He wanted to ask who had given him the orders to give him this letter, but the boy turned around and ran away the second Gil had taken it. For a moment Gil wanted to chase him, but he quickly changed his mind. He didn't want to scare the boy any more than he already was. Instead Gil looked down at the letter in his hand, reading his own badly written name on front of the envelope. Gil was frightened but also secretly hoping his dad had, for some reason, send him another message.
