Chapter 1: Another Chance At A Better Life, Doing It Better This Time!
Prologue:
Fate was always unfair to Okuyasu Nijimura, it took away his mother's life, his father's mind and humanity, and his older brother's future. He gained friends that he trusted with his life and would help them without a second thought. But then he lost one of his friends to a monster without any remorse and there was nothing he could do to save him. Then when it was time to face the monster, he lost his own life without realizing he saved the life of his best friend. But he refused to stay down for long, he rejected the thought of dying without making that monster pay! So after he was resurrected he saved his best friend's life yet again and helped remove the source of the monster's power, and once everything was over and the monster was given a well-deserved death, his life returned to normal. But it wasn't like that for long, after a few years had passed and everything was peaceful but then a cataclysmic event happened… the world had gone to hell! Everything was speeding up so fast that even the sun was no spare from this power! Everything aged faster and faster until they were dust, this doomsday was nothing like anyone could have predicted. Okuyasu had no idea what to do, but then he saw before his own eyes everything and everyone he knew and cared about literally vanished before him. And so once again, fate had dealt him a cruel end. How fair was this? Okuyasu had endured great heartache and pain and never once turned to the darker side, he didn't ask for much out of life so given this, he should have another chance at life. But his life in this universe was over, so he would have to be reborn in a different universe, giving a new life, a second chance to do things differently. Only question was… could he do it?
It was a bright new day in Morioh, the sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and everything seemed peaceful and normal. In a familiar neighborhood, was a familiar house that at first glances wouldn't seem like much but a normal house, if the sign on the gate didn't said, [Nijimura's Residents] instead of saying [NO ENTRY] meaning this was indeed the house of Okuyasu Njiimura but a few changes were visible. It was no longer boarded up and broken down, nor was the paint flaking off and overgrown with vines, it looked like it was fresh and new. The inside of the house was even more of a shock, instead of looking old, dark, and dirty. It was just as fresh and clean as the outside and a great deal of natural light came in along with the house lights being on. Quite the sight to behold given the statue of it last time. On the nightstand was a family photo, it was a mother, a father, and two kids one was a girl the other was a boy. Then the next was just the mother and the two kids, all of them smiling.
The same woman from the photo opens the door to get the morning newspaper, she had long lovely black hair, flawless skin, beautiful brown eyes, and wore red lipstick. She had a simple white blouse and black skirt that reached below the knees, dispute looking to be middle age she still looked young and gorgeous as ever, spotting DD cup breast, thin waist, wide hips, and a big ass.
"Morning mom." Said a voice from behind her.
The mother turned with a smile at a girl that had golden yellow hair that she chose to keep short with only a small ponytail, incredible tan skin, and green eyes. She dressed more like a tomboy than the average girl, she was wearing a black double breast school uniform that had the word trillion in Japanese, two sagging over wide-legged black pants with a short golden skirt added, and arrow earrings that were pointing down. Her feminine figure was still visible having, D-cup breast, a thin waist, slightly wide hips, and a medium ass.
"Good morning, Keicha." The mother said with a bright smile. "How'd you sleep?" She asked.
"Pretty good, how about you?" The daughter asked her mother.
"I sleep well." The mom told Keicha. "Could you please get your brother? I will start breakfast, we wouldn't need you two being late for school." She told her daughter.
"Fine." Keicha sighed. She briefly saw her mother looking at the family picture and placed a hand on her father and looked saddened for a pick. "Father…" She thought solemnly.
Upstairs in a room, it was the same boy from the photo but just older it didn't take long for him to wake up. And when he did, it was Okuyasu Nijimura, he let out a gasp and quickly got up, clenching his chest and covered in cold sweat, like he had awakened from a nightmare. He was panting and was recalling everything, he ran a hand through his hair. He was wearing a white tank-top and blue boxers.
"That was some dream, what was that?" Okuyasu asked himself. "Was it real? It sure felt real, man." He thought, getting up.
He took a moment to check his surroundings and saw how clean and normal it was from before. Okuyasu couldn't put his finger on it but something felt off, and it only got more weird when he heard a knock at the door.
"Hey, Okuyasu! Get your ass down stairs, it's time for breakfast." Keicha shouted from the other side of his door.
"What the? Who the hell is that?" Okuyasu thought in shock. But somehow he was familiar with it, he just didn't know how. "Wh-What's going on? What happened?" He asked himself, starting to sweat and grow nervous.
"Hey! Didn't you hear me? Do I need to come in there, Okuyasu!?" The girl asked in anger for not getting a response.
"O-Oh! S-Sorry!" Okuyasu shouted. The voice of the girl shouting gave him the same chill that Keicho gave him when he got angry.
"Whatever, hurry up because I'm not waiting around for your dumbass." She shouted, walking back downstairs.
"R-Right." Okuyasu simply said. "What is going on here? This doesn't make any sense! Was… was that dream, really a dream? O-Or was it… real?" He thought to himself, getting more sweaty and a bit pale.
Okuyasu slapped his cheek and shook his head to bring himself back to reality. He couldn't figure things out if he didn't check it out for himself with his own eyes. He gets dressed in his usual outfit and fixes his hair and slowly walks down the stairs and observes everything. He saw that his whole house was good as new, like it never went old and rotten. He saw a family photo and gave it a closer look and saw it exactly like the one his father spent his whole life he was trying to fix but it had a few differences like instead of his brother it was some girl and his mother looked younger than before.
"Good morning, Okuyasu. It's good to see you up with the rest of us." Said a voice he never thought he heard again.
He slowly turns with a look of shock on his face, and when he saw the source of the voice was in fact his mother! His eyes widened in more shock, his body trembling and his lips quivering, tears pouring from his eyes, he was staring at her like a deer in headlights.
"M-Mom?" Okuyasu asked in disbelief.
"Okuyasu?" His mother asked in confusion.
He drops the photo and quickly rushes her and gets her in a tight hug, not too tight. He was crying into her shoulder as he held her close. This shocked his mother, she didn't understand what was going on with him but this didn't stop her from comforting him.
"Easy now. Everything is alright." His mother told him.
After a few moments Okuyasu was able to pull himself together and wipe his tears from his face and look at his mother.
"What's the matter, Okuyasu? Are you okay?" His mother asked him.
"I-I'm fine… just a bit… overwhelmed." Okuyasu told her. "How is this possible!? Mom died a long time ago! How is she alive and here!? This is making less and less sense!" He thought.
"Oh okay. You know you can always talk to me." His mother assured him.
"R-Right." Okuyasu said nervously to his mother.
She looked at Okuyasu and it was clear as day to her that something was off with him. A mother knows when something is not right with her children, and Okuyasu was no exception. She observed him a bit longer and decided to put aside for later.
"Well wash up and come finish your breakfast so that you and Keicha aren't late for school." His mother told him.
"O-Okay." Okuyasu said, following her.
He was having a hard time wrapping his head around this, first his house is good as new or more likely it never went to shit, then this girl named Keicha is walking around here, and now his mother is here and alive! What was going on!? Where the hell was he!? None of this was making a lick of sense!
"It's about time, Okuyasu. You seriously need to get your head on straight and learn to wake up on time." The girl named Keicha told him, Okuyasu widened his eyes.
"Keicho! What the hell?" Okuyasu asked in shock at the sight of his brother now a girl.
Keicho? The fuck are you talking about?" Keicha asked in confusion.
"B-But… you're a girl!? You were a guy beforehand!" Okuyasu stated, still confused.
"A guy!? What the fuck does that mean? You saying I look like a fucking man, dumbass!?" Keicha asked in anger.
"Wha!? N-No that's not what I mean at all!" Okuyasu panicked, raising his hand in defense.
Keicha looks ready to kick Okuyasu's ass, but their mother steps in and calms her down.
"Easy now… Okuyasu, you know very well how sensitive Keicha is for her choice of clothing and attitude." His mother scolded him a bit. "Now please apologize to your sister." She told him. "And Keicha, you know better than to insult your brother. Please treat him with more respect." Her mother scolded her now. "Now both of you make up." She told them.
Okuyasu walked up to his "older sister" and looked nervous, rubbing the back of his neck. Her scowl was just like Keicho's, she looked at her "younger brother" and let out an annoyed sigh running a hand through her hair.
"S-Sorry… K-Keicha" Okuyasu said to her.
"Whatever, it's fine." Keicha said, her face softening.
"Good. Now both of you try to get along better, where a family after all." Their mother told them, grabbing both their head and putting them against her bosom. Okuyasu felt nostalgia from this and his face relaxed while Keicha's face softened a bit more. "Now, let's eat." She smiles at her children.
"Okay." Okuyasu and Keicha said in unison.
The family shared a nice breakfast after that, Okuyasu sat between his mother and "sister" and was still not able to figure out what the hell was going on. Then a question pops in his mind, where was his father? If his mom was alive then was it possible that his father wasn't mutated?
While he was eating the breakfast he assumed his mother made, he saw her reading the newspaper. He asked if he could see that, and not seeing a problem with letting her son read through the paper, he saw a picture of Angelo and knew for a fact that something wasn't right, giving the fact that Josuke had defeated him and turned him into a rock.
"What on earth is going on? This doesn't make sense at all?" Okuyasu thought seriously.
He continued to read the paper for anything else but he didn't see anything else out of the ordinary or worrying about, beside his situation and Angelo currently on the loose. He finished his dishes and placed his dishes in the sink, Keicha did the same and both of them were getting ready to leave the house, but their mother stopped them.
"Before you two leave, aren't you going to kiss your mother?" She asked her children.
Okuyasu and Keicha look at her, the punk blushed from embarrassment while Keicha looks annoyed. They both kissed their mouth on the cheek and she did vice versa and bide her kids farewell. The two left, while they walked to school. Okuyasu was thinking over everything, the last thing was darkness, everything before that was blank. He wonders about his father and was going to ask his "sister" but after the incident from this morning, he thought it was wise to leave her be. The two had made it to school, it was the same school Okuyasu went to with Josuke and Koicho.
"Make sure you meet me outside at the end of the day, we need to pick up groceries for dinner tonight." Keicha told him.
"O-Okay." Okuyasu nodded.
They entered the school and everything was normal, well as normal as it could be given Okuyasu's situation. He was going through the whole day thinking over everything that has happened to him plus he was still processing the reality that he was living in at this moment. Right now he was in the bathroom to get some time to himself to figure out what on earth was going on.
"What is going on? Is this some kind of Stand Ability? Or is it something else?" Okuyasu thought, he then thought about his dream.
Okuyasu then gets a massive headache, he grabs his head in pain. The trembling in his brain was like a hammer pounding against his skull at full power. It was becoming unable to withstand, he then hit with a series of flashbacks of the events that happened and then… he remembered it all. His friends, his journey, everything, even the event that led to their destruction and then nothing but the darkness.
"S-So… it really wasn't… a dream?" He asked himself. "Josuke, Koichi, Jotaro, P-Pops, everyone." He felt lightheaded, his legs got weak and then he fell to his knees.
Tears were now pouring out his eyes, the sorrow he felt was immeasurable. He lost everything, and he had no idea why! After that he just cried his eyes out for what felt like forevers, in reality it was only until the school day was over, after he finished his eyes were bloodshot.
His "sister" was getting livid now, it was almost an hour and Okuyasu still hadn't shown his face. She was getting ready to march right back into the school and drag him out by the ear but didn't have to when she saw him making his way towards her. She would have yelled at him but didn't when she saw how bloodshot his eyes were, she wondered why they were like that.
"Hey, sorry I took so long. I got distracted." Okuyasu apologized.
"Whatever. Just make sure to remember next time, or I really will ditch you." Keicha told him.
"Right…" Okuyasu said softly.
Keicha didn't know why his eyes were bloodshot, but right now wasn't the time to get answers. She may be a bit hard on him, but she still cared about him. The walk home was silent, it was neutral but had a hint of uneasiness. When the two got home their mother greeted them with a smile and hugged them, Keicha and Okuyasu returned it but when she saw Okuyasu's eyes, she was greatly concerned.
"Okuyasu… what happened? Why are your eyes all red? Are you alright" His mother asked.
"O-Oh… something got caught in them and I just rubbed them until I got it out." Okuyasu told her, nervously.
His mother wasn't convinced but didn't press him. She simply thanks the two and gets ready to make dinner. Okuyasu was about to head to his room but Keicha stopped him, she place a hand on his shoulder and pulled him away from their mom.
"What's the problem?" Keicha asked him.
"Wh-What do you mean?" Okuyasu said nervously.
"What were you crying about? Your eyes are bloodshot." Keicha asked him, pointing out the evidence.
Okuyasu wasn't sure what to say, he couldn't possibly tell her his reason. But if she was anything like Keicho then she wasn't going to let this go or expected a half-ass answer.
"I-I… well…" Okuyasu began to say, trying to think up anything. "The thing is…" He said nervously, it couldn't think of anything.
"Forget it…" Keicha said to him.
"Huh?" Okuyasu said, confused.
"If you're not comfortable with telling right now, fine." Keicha told him, walking away but turned and gave Okuyasu a soft look. "Just remember… I'm here for ya." She told him.
Okuyasu widened his eyes a bit, he then looked at a photo of his father before his mutation. He let out a sigh, he had to at least know what happened to his dad.
"Wait.." He could out, Keicha looked at him with a confused look on her face. "Could you tell me, what happened with d-dad?" Okuyasu asked her.
Keicha gave him a shocked look and then one of sorrow, she looked at the photo of their dad and let out a deep sigh.
"I figure you asked this question at one point, you were pretty young when this happened." Keicha stated. "Mom was hoping you never ask but I knew you would, sooner or later…" She said softly.
"How bad can it be?" Okuyasu asked, dreading the answer he gets.
"He killed himself." Keicha said grimly, ripping off the band-aid all together.
Okuyasu's eyes widened in shock, he held his breath for 3 second. His face was pale and he wasn't sure if he heard his "sister" right?
"W-What?" Okuyasu asked quietly.
"He killed himself." Keicha repeated. "Specifically, he shot himself in the head." She stated.
"B-But… why?" Okuyas asked, needing the answer. He felt like he would throw-up at any moment.
"I-I don't know." Keicha said, rubbing her arm. "It all happened so fast…" She stated.
Keicha gave him the rundown on what led to their father's death, it was similar to the story of the Nijimura Brother's, only this time their mother was able to live because she never got sick. Their dad's business went under and the family lost all their money and went into debt, but even so their mother was able to keep his spirit up, if only a little. But without warning tons of money came his way and the family was able to live normally again, in fact even better than before. But their father never looked pleased with it, their mother always tried to figure out what was wrong with him but he would only shrug it off as "stressful" deals with his "business partner" but she never bought it and Keicha felt the same. Years later their father began to suffer some kind of disease or virus of some kind as he slowly began to change… into something else. Their mother later found out that her husband took overwhelming amount of pills and drugs beforehand and most likely everyday in hopes of stopping his mutation, but it only slowed down long enough for him to end his life before he was permanently deformed forever.
"When I got home you were cuddling yourself and crying, I could hear mom pleading with dad and then a gunshot… I rushed up to the kitchen only to see his body on the floor with a gun in his right hand and a hole in the back of his skull." Keicha explained. "Mom was horrified by the whole thing, she called the ambulance and had his body taken away and buried." She said grimly.
Okuyasu was sure he was going to pass out or puke. His face was as pale as a sheet of paper and he could taste the bile on his tongue, he had an intense cold sweats. Keicha had a grim look on her face and was hugging herself, thinking back to that day, the look of horror and shock on her mother's face and the smell of blood and the soulless look in her father's eyes, it was too much for her. Keicha covers her mouth and tries not to cry but the tears pour from her eyes as she softly weeps, Okuyasu steeled himself and walked to his "sister" and gave her a hug. Keicha cried into Okuyasu's shoulder for a few minutes, after that the two were silent or more like they couldn't find the words, and when it was time for dinner, they ate quietly which bothered their mother but she didn't pressure them into talking.
They all went to bed after dinner, now in his room, Okuyasu was thinking over his history and the history of this world, he wasn't sure which fate was worse, his father being mutated or him killing himself with a bullet to the brain. He figured that the Jotaro of this world killed DIO and the flesh bud went berserk and started changing him; the only difference was instead of living as a semi-mindless monster he killed himself.
"No matter what my family still suffers, thank to that piece of shit." Okuyasu growled to himself.
This whole day was one huge draw on his mind and emotions, he closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep. Now asleep he was dreaming up different things, his own family normal and happy, having a good time with all his friends, even getting a girlfriend. He then only saw black and soon his pleasure dream turned into a nightmare with everything and everyone being turned to dust and disappearing, he sweated a bit and was at the verge of waking up from shock. But then a ball of light appeared in the darkness and soon formed a figure cover in white light that looked like a woman but the brightness made it impossible to tell. He had calmed down and solo opened his eyes and saw the glowing woman.
"W-Who are you?" Okuyasu asked confused and still shaken.
The glowing woman died down the brightness, it was a pale woman with shiny clear white eyes and was cloaked in an ivory cloak.
"Nothing more than a being on the side of Light." The glowing woman said. "You can call be, Hikari."
"What is going on?" Okuyasu asked her.
"I simply eased the inner turmoil you were suffering, I can understand you have many questions so let me make it easy for you by explaining." Hikari told him. "I believe you understand that this world is not your's world, right?" She asked, Okuyasu slowly nodded. "That's because the gods thought the fate you suffered was unjust and so instead of disappearing along with your world you were sent to another universe where things play slightly different in this world, but I'm sure you know that." She stated.
"How much different is this world, aside from my father dying?" Okuyasu asked, still trying to process this.
"You will see." Hikari simply answered. "One more thing, you were sent 2 years before Jotaro Kujo entered Morioh and your fateful meeting with Josuke Higashitaka." She stated. "What happens after that is up to you… so please use the knowledge you knew wisely." She told him.
"Ok." Okuyasu said drowsily.
"Now sleep." Hikari said softly. "And may god watch over so that your journey can be full without sorrow."
Okuyasu closed his eyes and went back to having a calm and relaxing dream for the rest of the night. This some only the tip of the iceberg. What other changes have been made in this universe? Only time will tell.
Sorry if this chapter is a short, I'm just trying something out and want to see where this fanfiction will go. I hope you enjoy this fanfic. What do you think of Okuyasu's fate and Hikari? Review me your answers and as always thanks for your support!
