Notes:

I finally finished this chapter. It's not very long but it concluded the point that I wanted to conclude so it's good.

I started a diet recently it hasn't been going so great.

The thing is I started to get hungrier but I'm only eating healthy food I'm just eating a lot of it which is the problem. But at least I haven't gone back to eating bad food. I'm just eating a little too much healthy food. So I think that's an improvement in my situation.

The juice cleanse was great. It's just I didn't like it personally but it actually did help.

If anyone wants to readjust their stomach like to make it so you're not hungry all the time I recommend going on a juice cleanse because it really does help. I went on the juice cleanse. The first meal I had after I was done with it was salmon and I ate like one brussel sprout and a piece of salmon that was the size of an eraser and I got full. I had to force myself to eat the rest of it. Which was nuts for me normally.

So I really recommend it if anyone is looking to lose weight. The one I used was a 3-day cleanse and it was kind of expensive like $114 or something like that on Amazon but I'm sure you can just go to a grocery store and get some of those they have there. If anyone is curious just let me know and I'll link you to the exact one that I used if you're interested. It gave you a lot of liquid so you could branch it out not just for three days but longer if you mixed in food as well.

So I recommend it. They don't taste too bad, it's just I got nauseous because I don't drink that much liquid normally.

Stiles POV:

"Well, I guess I should reintroduce everyone. There's not much to reintroduce because they are my friends but they're not as human as you may have thought." I got that out in the open to make sure we were all on the same page and we were all talking about the supernatural.

"It's no problem honey, I'm not human either. I assume that you're a werewolf which you'll have to explain to me in further detail later. And I can already tell he's a vampire. But I am curious about what you two are." My mother said pointing to Lydia and then pointing to my teacher.

"I'm a banshee," Lydia said, pointing to herself.

"I'm a Kitsune. A Japanese thing." Rei said, simplifying his explanation so he didn't have to go into detail about what a Kitsune is.

He was still very cautious, which was understandable.

"A banshee and a Kitsune, I've never met a Kitsune before but I did meet a Banshee once. But it's been many years. I don't even remember what her name was or where she lived. Or where I even met her. It was a really long time ago but I have met a Banshee before. In my brother's hometown, there's a lot of vampires. I never figured out why he wanted to live there. I thought it was really dangerous. But he could do whatever he wanted." My mom said with an annoyed look on her face, probably sibling arguments from a long time ago resurfacing.

I knew my mom had a bad relationship with my uncle. Especially since we never went to visit them. And the fact that only my uncle came for the funeral. it's kind of funny we're on good terms now. And the two people who started the feud are dead. Well sort of.

"So Stiles, tell me how you triggered the curse. It must have happened while you were away right? And you are very well adapted for it happening so quickly." My mother asked.

"Actually it happened almost a year ago. I was in the library reading and I was attacked by a wendigo and I tried to climb up scaffolding and I caused a bar to fall and it killed him. Which triggered the curse and I became a werewolf."

The answer that I gave was a very abridged short version of what happened but it basically had all the important parts and also left out all the parts that my mom didn't need to know. Like the dread doctors and the fact that Donovan was trying to kill me and my dad, or actually just the existence of my dad that I shouldn't apparently mention.

"And why am I only finding out about this now?" My mother asked.

I thought of a good lie on the spot locally.

"Well, I didn't know you were a werewolf until I met my cousins, plus the other werewolves that I know all are a different kind than us. So I just assumed that I was the only one. Until I figured it out differently. How did you trigger the curse mom?" I asked because I was curious and there was nobody else to ask because nobody else who knew my mother when she was younger was alive.

At least knew her before she came to Beacon Hills.

"Oh, it happened so long ago now. I pushed this boy that was bothering me and he hit his head and died, unfortunately. It happened when I was young, younger than you. But I had my parents to help me with that." My mom said looking sad, for taking a life.

But I'm glad it happened by accident and not maliciously or something like that.

"I see. Uh well, the reason we came for the visit is ... well ... I don't know how to tell you." I say, not even sure how to start.

"Well, I'm sure I can handle it." My mom said smiling and encouraging me to tell her.

"Well it's not that I can't say it, I just don't think you'll believe me," I said again.

We agreed beforehand that telling my mom that she was dead was not gonna go over well, no matter how we explained it. So we thought instead we were just trying to convince her that the new monsters in town were messing with everyone's memory and my father actually didn't die. So we were going to tell her that she was fine but it was my father who was actually still alive as well. It was just easier to say and I didn't think I could tell my mom that she was dead. There are just some things you can't say.

My mom noticed how I was struggling and turned to Lydia. Lydia didn't really wanna say anything either but I figured that I wasn't gonna be able to say it so she went ahead and threw out the crazy idea that my father was still alive and that everyone just forgot.

"Well Stiles' dad and well your husband, he's still alive," Lydia said.

"That's not funny you guys. Stiles, your father is dead. He has been for a long time." My mother said sternly but sympathetically.

"I know how it sounds mom, and I know it's almost so impossible that it can't be real but I'm telling you the monsters that are currently attacking this town are messing with people's memories. And my father is not the only one to have disappeared. Damon's friend Bonnie, a witch, has also disappeared; it's why we came over to find them." I said desperately.

"So you're saying my husband is actually alive. And I just can't remember. And it's because of some monster. How do you remember them then?" My mom asked.

"Well we believe it's town-focused amnesia, so since we weren't in the town when everyone forgot he existed we believe we were affected by it. But as we are staying in the town we don't know who is disappearing and who is not disappearing because we can't remember. But we still know that Stiles' dad was alive because there's just too much evidence that he is alive." Lydia says.

"What evidence?" Mom asked.

"Well, the fact that we met him not too long ago in Mystic Falls. And the fact that Stiles has multiple pictures of him at college and the fact that they were recent pictures, which don't add up if he was dead a long time ago. Also, the fact that we remember him." Lydia said.

"Hmm. I see. I'll be honest with you guys, I can't really wrap my head around it. You all seem to be telling the truth now but I don't remember." My mom said rubbing her forehead as it hurt.

It kind of gave me déjà vu of when I was younger and when she was sick because she would always be rubbing her head.

"Well even if I can't remember we have to save him right? What can I do to help?" Mom said, obviously still not believing us but she was helpful because she wanted to believe us. Who wouldn't want to believe that someone you thought was dead was actually alive the whole time? I mean I felt the same way about my mother right now.

"Well other than sharing any missing person reports, there's not much," I said.

"But wait, if everyone is forgetting the people and we have memories that are replacing our old ones, how or rather why would there be a missing person report?" My mom asked.

"It's true that there wouldn't be any missing person reports because nobody will remember if someone's missing or not. But it's good to find a timeline of when the last person went missing. Or rather the first person, before the influence of altered memories started so we can get a timeline for how long they've been here. And from that point on we can see why they came and maybe along the way find a way to stop it. And hopefully by doing that get all the missing people back as well." I said formulating the ideas I've had for everyone to hear.

My mom nodded her head,

"Smart, okay I'll head back to the precinct right now and I'll go back through the files. Is there any way we can prevent the monsters from taking people like wards or something of that nature?" Mom asked.

I nodded and ran upstairs to my room. As long as my room was still intact I had some mountain ash hidden away.

"I don't have much left because most of it I took with me to college but if you spread this in a circle around you and whoever you're with I assume they can't cross it, no supernatural creature can," I said giving my mom the jar.

I could always ask Malia to open up the Hale vault under the school and get some more. Peter told me there was some in there last time he was there.

"Okay good, but what about you kids are you guys going to be okay without it?" Mom paused before she left.

"It's okay mom, I know where to get some more." "Oh okay, I'll see you in a bit sweetie." Mom said before leaving.

Now it was time to look for clues. Anything to see if we could find how to stop the wild hunt from taking Beacon Hills off the map. and also even bigger than that finding out how to get everybody back who is already taken.

We were formulating our thoughts for quite a while on my mom's kitchen table before my teacher had this idea. I don't know if it was brilliant or plain chaotic but it was an idea.

"Why don't one of us just get taken?"

Everyone looked at him like he was crazy.

"You mean to say that you want one of us to get taken by the Ghost Riders into the Wild Hunt, what if we forget?" I ask.

"I think that's a bit risky," Lydia said.

While Damon said, "Not me," at the same time.

"We will not forget if we just leave a message with somebody outside of town to contact us in a few days and remind us." Rei said, starting to make his idea sound reasonable.

Even if it was still stupid. But my ideas are just the same amount of stupid and chaotic so might as well try it.

Actually having somebody on the inside would be good and it would also be good because that person could go and check to make sure that everyone who is captured is okay.

But the reality was slowly closing in on me.

Damon couldn't get taken because he doesn't know what anyone looks like. And he doesn't want to.

Rei may have suggested the idea but he was definitely not going to volunteer to be taken. And even if he did he also does not know what anyone looks like.

And Lydia is a banshee so she can't be taken according to Lenore, so the only option left in our ragtag group of fighters was me.

I came to the realization quite quickly.

Fuck.

I was going to be the one taking into the wild hunt.

That means I had to get kidnapped by the Ghost Riders.

Yippee! Not.

Notes:

I hope you guys like that chapter.

I look forward to any comments and questions you may have.

And there's one more chapter left after this one. Not in the series FYI just for this update.

I realized after I wrote it that it sounded weird but I didn't know what else to write so I made sure to clarify.

This book still has a long way to go, the way it's looking now it's probably also going to go to 50 chapters which I did not want to do but alas it seems it's going to happen that way.
