Chapter Eight: Encounters III

Uraraka woke up early the next day and after getting ready and eating a small breakfast she made her way to the office. She was dressed in normal clothes which consisted of black jeans, white t-shirt with the UA logo, black leather jacket and black chucks. Not her normal looks form UA but hanging out with Jiro and being a little older had change her looks somewhat.

As she walked down the sidewalk from her apartment, she decided to take a different route. It was earlier than normal for her, so taking a new route to work would be a welcomed distraction. She made her way to some different streets that she had never used before and even though she was several blocks from her routine path, it was technically on her way to work.

Uraraka took in the sights and made mental notes of the stores around this area. She already wanted to visit some of them some other day. She then saw a small market, one that she didn't know was around here. The gravity hero got closer to the market to see what was available in there. She saw stands selling flowers, fruits, vegetables, bread, fish and meats as well as cheap electronics. The place seemed to be very busy at this time. Maybe a lot of the locals shopped here in the morning?

As she looked around, she noticed a head of green hair in between all the people walking around and she suddenly stopped. The man was walking away from her, a little too fast if you asked her, since he bumped into some people and didn't bother looking back. She blinked a few times and then decided to follow the man. As the man made his way down the narrow streets of the market area, she followed trying to get closer to the him.

The area was pretty busy, so she couldn't get a good look at him. The gravity hero bumped into some people while trying to get closer to the man, but she was so concentrated in catching up to him that she didn't bother apologizing. Finally, desperation started to set in and she called out.

"Deku!" she shouted while trying to get pass some people. The man seems to flinch and his pace quickened. Uraraka let out a small gasp and called out again, "Deku, is that you!?" she redoubled her efforts to get close to him. The man made his way down an alleyway, making her panic a little, "No! wait!"

She started to jog, zigzagging to avoid the other shoppers. She reached the alleyway and found it empty but the path kept going down some ways in between buildings. She took off running at full speed, frantically looking around any corner someone could hide. The gravity hero made it to the end, only to find she made it back to a main street, full of cars, buses and taxis moving in different directions.

Uraraka stopped and looked around but found no sign of the man. She grabbed her hair with both hands in frustration, letting out a loud sigh while she kept looking back to the alleyway and the main street. "Damn it!" she said loudly while stomping her foot down. Some of the people walking down the sidewalk gave her a weird look at her sudden outburst but she didn't care.

The gravity hero threw her head back and closed her eyes. She breathed in and out a few times to calm herself. 'Calm down, Uraraka. More than likely it wasn't him.' She thought to herself. She then opened her eyes and resumed her walk to the office with a serious expression. Was it possible that Deku was around this area? That would be a pretty crazy coincidence. She then frowned. Darkmask did say he knew Izuku. That more than likely meant that Izuku was in Asaka as well. Right?

Her heart started beating a little faster at the thought. As crazy as it sounded, it made some sense that Deku could be here. Unless Darkmask knew him from somewhere else. But where? Nobody knew where Darkmask came from, if he came from somewhere else at all, and nobody knew where Izuku was. She started to get a little aggravated at all these unknowns. That damn vigilante had to say all that stuff he said last night, didn't he? Just to mess with her, more than likely. She let out a sigh and shook her head, deciding to stop thinking about this stuff. She was getting a headache from all the questions in her head.

Uraraka quickly made her way to the locker room at the agency office and changed into one of her hero costumes. She then made her way to the office. Taking a look at Ryukyu's office she noticed that the dragon hero was already there, talking on the phone. The gravity hero made a beeline there and opened the door without saying anything.

The dragon hero looked up with a smile that quickly went away when she saw the serious look on Uraraka's face. This was definitely a change from the gravity hero's bubbly, happy personality, so Ryukyu decided to end the phone conversation early.

"Hey, listen, I got to go. Something came up." She put her phone down while keeping her eyes on Uraraka. "What happened?"

Uraraka crossed her arms over her chest, "I saw Darkmask last night."

A frown formed on the dragon hero's face, "Where?"

"Outside my apartment."

Ryukyu's eyes went wide, "What!?"

Uraraka nodded slowly while keeping her serious look, "He was outside my window and before I could do anything, he disappeared, but he left a note on my window saying he wanted to talk."

Ryukyu blinked a few times, "You got to be kidding me."

The brown-haired girl shook her head slowly, "Nope. The note said to go to the roof if I wanted to talk, so…I went to the roof."

The dragon hero closed her eyes and exhaled loudly, "Of course you did."

"Yeah…I know what you're thinking, but I got too curious."

Ryukyu leaned back on her chair and crossed her arms, "Okay."

Uraraka took a deep breath, "so I went up to the roof, and he was there. He started talking some nonsense about heroes not seeing things right or whatever. I wasn't buying any of his bullshit so he then started talking about the league trying to restart operations here in Asaka."

The gravity hero then uncrossed her arms and pushed her hair behind her ear while taking a seat. "Honestly, I wasn't in the mood to hear what he had to say at that point, so I kind of dismissed him." She finished, but at this point she was looking nervous.

The dragon hero kept her silent gaze on Uraraka for a long moment. It was obvious that there was more, judging by how the gravity hero was fidgeting with her fingers. "So, what happened after that? And don't tell me he just left, because I can tell there's more."

Uraraka looked at her boss with some hesitation and swallowed, "he mentioned Deku's name."

Ryukyu uncrossed her arms and blinked a few times. Did she hear correctly? "what do you mean he mentioned Midoriya's name?"

The brown-haired girl looked down, "After I dismissed what he had to say he said something about what Midoriya would think of me." She looked back up at her boss. "when I asked him where he got that name, he said they knew each other."

The dragon hero looked to the side with a serios look on her face as she pondered about what Uraraka just said. There was just no way some random vigilante knew Midoriya. It had to be a trick. She turned back to Uraraka. "That can't be right, Uravity. I think this guy is messing with you. Trying to trick you so you take him seriously."

Uraraka stood up and started pacing around in front of Ryukyu's desk while biting one of her fingernails. "I don't know."

Ryukyu looked as her subordinate paced around nervously. She shook her head, "I'm telling you Uravity, it's a trick. After all, how the hell does Darkmask knows Midoriya? Did you ask him that?"

The gravity hero stopped pacing to look at her boss. "No. He didn't tell me how he knew Deku, but…" Uraraka suddenly stopped as she slowly looked away. Her mouth stayed open as her eyes slowly grew big with realization.

Ryukyu started to grow curious. "What is it?"

Uraraka's heart started to beat loudly in her chest and her body started shaking as she covered her mouth with one hand. "Oh God…he's Deku." She spoke in a low, haunted voice.

The dragon hero blinked in confusion, "what are you saying, Uravity?"

The gravity hero slowly looked back at her boss. "He knew about what happened at UA." She blinked a few times, "and he knew about the first time we met."

"Everyone in your old class knows what happened. That doesn't mean anything."

Uraraka shook her head, "but not about the first time we met."

"What do you mean?" Ryukyu was getting confused at her subordinate's demeanor. But Uraraka didn't answer, seemingly lost in her own thoughts. "Uravity!" she called raising her voice, trying to get her attention.

The gravity hero suddenly slammed her hands on Ryukyu's desk. "Don't you get it!? Deku is Darkmask!"

Ryukyu shook her head hastily, throwing her arms to the sides, "That doesn't make any sense!"

"Yes, it does! Nobody knows about the first time me and Deku met! Just me and him!"

"Okay…but that doesn't mean they're the same guy. Maybe Midoriya told him."

Uraraka huffed in frustration, "I never told anyone about the first time we met, and I just know Deku didn't told anyone either."

The dragon hero pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration. "How can you be so sure?"

Uraraka let out a small breath as she closed her eyes, "because it was super embarrassing." She opened her eyes to look at her boss, "Deku tripped in front of the main UA building and I used my quirk on him before he hit the ground. He then flailed around in panic because I cancelled his gravity."

Ryukyu crossed her arms and once again leaned back on her chair. She looked down for a long moment thinking about what Uraraka said. It was possible that her subordinate was right, but she wasn't completely convinced. She then looked back at Uraraka, who was nervously running a hand over her hair as she sat down again. The gravity hero then made eye contact with her.

"I actually think I saw Deku this morning." Uraraka said barely above a whisper.

Ryukyu froze for a second then seem to deflate in frustration, "where?"

"I took a different route to work this morning. I saw a guy with green hair and he seem to be walking away pretty fast." Uraraka started to bite her fingernails once again, "I actually called him Deku out loud and he started walking even faster after that. I think he saw me before I saw him."

"Did you get to see his face?"

Uraraka shook her head, "No. I went after him, but he got away." She then looked down wiping her eyes as her lower lip started trembling slightly.

The dragon hero sighed while standing up. She walked around her desk and then sat next to her subordinate. "Hey, it's going to be ok." she received a silent nod in response as some tears started to fall down Uraraka's face. Ryukyu started to gently run her hand up and down Uraraka's back. "Look. I'm not completely convinced Midoriya is Darkmask, but we'll figure it out, okay?"

The brown-haired girl sniffled as she wiped some of her tears, "I know it's him. It's too much of a coincidence."

"I don't know, Uravity. What are the chances that Midoriya was here in Asaka all these years?"

"Pretty high really, considering that a vigilante here said that he knows him." She said with a sad voice.

The dragon hero hummed in thought, "Hmm, I guess you could be right."

Uraraka finally looked at her, "What am I going to do?"

The older hero let out a loud breath, "Look, go and get yourself ready. I'm going to make some calls and I want you and Psytempest out on patrol, okay?" The younger hero gives her a small smile and a nod while standing up and walking out of her office towards the bathroom. Ryukyu kept her gaze on Uraraka until she was out of sight. She then walked back to her desk and sat down thinking about all the things the gravity hero said.

First, Darkmask not only knew where Uraraka lived, but he also went there to talk about the league. Second, he mentioned Midoriya and even said the two know each other. Ryukyu shook her head just thinking about it. Now, Uraraka was convinced that Midoriya was Darkmask and even thinks she saw the green haired boy close to their area. The older heroine tapped her fingers on top of her desk while thinking about this new development.

The dragon hero knew she needed to take Darkmask off the streets. It didn't matter if he was Uraraka's friend or not. That was why she was in Asaka in the first place. Once he was arrested, she could grill him for information about Midoriya. And if he was Uraraka's missing friend? Even better. She could solve a missing person case and take a powerful vigilante off the streets.

As she was thinking about all this, she saw Psytempest walk in and make her way to her office. "Morning, boss. What's the deal for today?"

Ryukyu gives the telekinesis hero a small smile, "Morning Psytempest. Let's wait for Uravity."

Just then, Uraraka walks out of the bathroom looking a little better. Psytempest turned to look at the gravity hero, obviously taking notice of the slight redness around her eyes. After a few seconds she decided to ignore it.

"There she is. Good morning, Uravity." She says in her usual bubbly voice.

"Hey..."

Ryukyu clears her throat to get their attention, "So, Psytempest, Uravity was just telling me about – "

"Ah, it's ok, Ryukyu. I'll brief Psytempest about it while we're on patrol, if you don't mind."

The older hero narrows her eyes at Uraraka's sudden interruption. It seems she didn't want Psytempest to know their full conversation. "Yeah, ok. Go and head out. I'll call you later." The telekinesis hero just shifted her eyes between the two pro heroes, slightly confused at what she just witnessed. But when Uraraka started to walk towards the exit, she just followed without saying a word. As the two younger heroes walked away, Ryukyu grabbed her phone. She decided that it was time for decisive action. After a few rings, the person on the other side picked up.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Bound, this is Ryukyu."

"What I can do for you? You need help with something?"

"Actually, yes. How many local heroes can you get ready in a short notice?"

"Hmm, how much of a short notice?"

"Today? I want to do a mission brief as soon as possible."

Bound chuckled, "I think we need a little more time than that."

Ryukyu sighs, "Look, how bad do you want to get Darkmask?" There's a pause on the other line.

"…I'll get as many as I can ready."

Ryukyu smiles widely. "Great! See you later."

Psytempest just looked at Uraraka with a look of complete surprise on her face as they patrolled in a residential area. Darkmask, the vigilante they've been trying to arrest for weeks, knew where Uravity lived. Not only that, he actually went there and asked her to talk to him on the roof of the building.

"So, you're telling me you actually went to the roof to talk to this guy?" Uraraka gave her a silent nod. "Are you crazy!? Why would you do that!?"

Uraraka shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know. I wanted to know what he had to say I guess."

"What if it was a trap?"

"I would expect that from a villain, not a vigilante."

The telekinesis hero just shakes her head, "I don't know, Uravity. That seemed like a huge risk."

The gravity hero just chuckled, "We're pro heroes, Psytempest. Everything we do is risky."

"Let me rephrase that. That seemed like a huge unnecessary risk."

Uraraka hummed in response. What can she really say? She knew at the time it was risky, but now she was glad she took the chance. This could potentially be the biggest break she had to finding Deku. But she couldn't tell her friend that. Only her ex-classmates, Inko and her boss knew about that little part of her life. Not even her parents knew. Is not that she didn't trust Psytempest. On the contrary, the telekinesis girl had been a great friend since she was hired to work alongside her. But the whole situation was just a massive source embarrassment and sadness to the gravity hero. And she just didn't feel quite ready to share that story with her coworker.

Psytempest kept looking at the gravity hero. She kind of seemed out of it and deeply in thought since the start of their patrol. There was this look of dejection in her eyes. The telekinesis hero had gotten the feeling that Uraraka had some sad backstory that she didn't know about, but she suspected it had something to do with that missing UA student she heard about when she was still on campus. She could ask, but Uraraka had been evasive when she talk about those topics, so it was safe to assume she would do it again.

"So, what did he talked about?"

The question seemed to bring Uraraka out of her thoughts, "Umm, at first he just talked some nonsense about heroes, then he started to talk about the league of villains trying to do stuff here in Asaka."

Psytempest hummed in response. She kept quiet for a moment. "So, did he say anything important?"

Uraraka seem to ponder her question without looking at her companion, "…no. Not really."

The telekinesis hero let out a breath, "what the hell? This whole situation is just weird."

'You don't know the half of it.' Uraraka thought to herself.

Ryukyu stood there looking at the faces of the small group of local heroes and Detective Daiki while they sat in her small conference room. She just finished explaining her plan to them and was waiting for their response. But judging by the looks on their faces, it looked as if they had their doubts.

"Do you really think this will work?" Detective Daiki asked as he looked down to the notes he wrote about the mission.

The dragon hero pursed her lips in thought, "I'll give this a 30% chance of success, maybe less." The room stayed quiet for a few more seconds.

"Well, I don't know about you guys and gals, but I want to give this a try. We all know nothing else have worked." Bound said as he leaned against the wall with his huge arms crossed. He then looked around, "where's Uravity and Psytempest."

"They're currently on patrol. I'll brief them after this meeting is done."

Detective Daiki looked around the room trying to get a gauge on the other heroes sitting around. "Anyone else want to say something?" They all looked around the room, waiting to see if someone had anything to say.

"I agree with Bound. I say its' time we try something different." Longwhip said from his seat. The other heroes present nodded their heads silently.

Detective Daiki stood up, "Alright. I'm going to assign a small group of police officers to get this started." He looked at Ryukyu before stepping towards the door. "I'll give you a call when everything is in place."

They dragon hero nodded, "make sure you don't use your normal police radios. Chances are Darkmask is listening in every time you use them."

The older detective nodded, "Agreed. I was already planning on using alternate means of communications." He then turned to the other heroes, "stay in the area, but be out of sight. When you get a call from Ryukyu, move out at once and don't hold back."

Everyone agreed silently and slowly started to move out of Ryukyu's conference room. The dragon hero silently looked as everyone present walked out and then she let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. She sat down while looking at her phone. She didn't feel right about this but she had decided to keep all the details of this operation from her two heroes. Why? Because after everything the young hero had told her, there was a good chance that Darkmask could be watching Uravity or at the very least be aware of where she was.

Not only that, but after what happened last night, Uraraka might do something dumb and jeopardized the operation. It sounded terribly unfair, but right now the dragon hero didn't have the luxury of giving a damn. She was going to tell her something, just not what was actually happening. She dialed Uraraka and waited for her to pick up.

"Hey, Ryukyu. What's up?"

"Uravity, where are you right now?"

"Uh, we're patrolling around Main Street. Why?"

"Good. Stay around that area until you hear otherwise."

There was a brief pause, "Anything I should know?"

Ryukyu sighed, "The police are conducting some training drills around the Honto station, so they requested minimal hero presence in that area."

Another pause, "Okay, we can do that."

Ryukyu smiled, "great. I'll let you know when they're done, Okay?"

"Yeah, no problem."

"Perfect. Stay safe out there." Ryukyu finished the call but looked at her phone in silence. She didn't feel good keeping such an important mission from Uravity and Psytempest, but right now she thought it was best to keep them out of it. Hopefully, this hastily planned operation would be a success and they could finally catch Darkmask once and for all.

Lunch was an uneventful affair for the young heroes currently patrolling around Main Street. After Ryukyu's call, Uraraka felt something was off and she told Psytempest as much. The telekinesis hero didn't put too much thought into it. But not Uraraka. She wasn't sure if she was just being paranoid because everything that had happened in the last 24 hrs.

The whole thing plus Darkmask little visit and seeing a man she was almost sure it was Deku, had her on edge. She didn't like feeling like this as it distracted her from her hero duties. But the gravity hero just couldn't help but think about it nonstop. Case in point, Psytempest had to actually tap her on the shoulder to get her attention. Uraraka quickly looked to her companion.

"Uh? Sorry I was lost in my thoughts." She gave a fake smile trying to sound casual.

Psytempest raised an eye brow, "I was saying that pizza place we just visited was damn good."

The brown-haired girl nodded, "yeah. That was some of the best pizza I had in a while."

The blond girl opened her mouth to say something but then Uraraka's phone started ringing and she quickly answered. "Hello?"

"Uravity, this is Longwhip!" He sounded winded, like he was running. "We found Darkmask. I'm in pursuit."

The gravity hero's eyes went wide. "What!? Where!?"

"I'm currently at the south end of the Honto Janai market. Bound is covering the north side. Hurry!"

Uraraka was already running in that direction. "Alright, on my way." She turned to Psytempest as she ran next to her, "the other heroes found Darkmask at the market. Go on ahead! I need to call Ryukyu!" She slowed her pace as she dialed her boss.

Psytempest slowed down with her. "Which market!?"

The gravity hero looked up from her phone. "The one next to Janai station, hurry!"

The telekinesis hero nodded and started running as fast as she could, dodging people as she yelled at them to get out of the way.

"Uravity! Head to the Honto Janai market, I'm already on my way!"

Uraraka looked at her phone in confusion, Ryukyu already knew? She pushed that aside, "got it! On my way!" She started running faster and quickly caught up with Psytempest as they made their way to where they were trying to capture Darkmask. Or was it Deku. She needed to get there, and fast.

xxxxxxxxxx

Darkmask didn't understand what the hell happened, but he needed to get out of there, immediately. One second, he was in Honto station trying to capture a low-level villain that just tried to set a bus on fire with his quirk, while it was packed with people. The next, he had a bunch of local heroes coming out for blood. They were definitely not pulling any punches as they went full force against him. He could take out most of them no problem, but 4 of them at the same time, not including Bound? Not likely. So, he tried to get away from the area. But the heroes wouldn't let him go this time. No, this time they stuck to him like glue. He only made it to Janai station before all the heroes somehow were on him again.

He ducked under a light ray that went above his head while barely dodging a punch by Bound, who was fighting like a possessed man. He moved to his side and tried to punch the giant muscle-bound hero, but somehow the huge man managed to partially block his punch, wincing in pain at Darkmask's body shot. Just then, the pesky light ray hero managed to land a shot on his back.

The vigilante grunted in pain due to the direct hit as it felt his skin was on fire. He pushed Bound out of the way with full force and decided to take the "lesser" heroes out of the way to get some breathing room. Bound flew away, and crashed into a nearby building. Darkmask quickly turned toward the light ray hero and as he was about to jump towards him, the ground grew around his feet, temporarily stopping him.

Darkmask looked down and moved quickly to his left and saw one of the other heroes trying to stop him. She had her arms extended in front of her, making the ground grow around Darkmask's legs. As she started to smirk at her small victory, the vigilante bolted towards her, breaking the ground's hold on his legs. The poor girl only had time for a small yelp before the vigilante struck her in her gut with an elbow, taking her out of the fight.

He immediately bolted right and was hit with another light ray, but he endured the pain as he upper cut the light ray quirk using hero into the third floor of a nearby building. Two more locals jumped him at the same time. One from the front and one from the back. The one in front of him had fists full of spikes while the other had some type of energy draining quirk. Deciding that the energy draining quirk was the most dangerous one, he quickly did a back flip, landing behind the energy draining hero.

The unfortunate guy only had time to graze Darkmask's hand before he was kicked on his back, hard. The energy draining hero quickly found himself on a collision course with the spike fisted hero. The two crashed into each other, then a wall behind them with enough force to knock them out. As Darkmask landed he started to feel his energy starting to go down due to the contact with the energy draining quirk. It went down too much if you asked him, 'This is going to be a problem.' He thought to himself.

He was then immediately punched on his right cheek by Bound breaking his kabuki mask around his right eye, and sending the vigilante in a crash course against the ground and then tumbling down some distance. He grunted as he tried to stand up and his mask made a cracking noise. If his mask broke, his identity would be revealed. This wasn't good.

xxxxxxxxxx

Uraraka dodged a woman carrying some bags, bumping slightly into her shoulder. She turned back without stopping. "Sorry!" She turned forward again and saw the market's colorful building just ahead. She turned to Psytempest who was running next to her. "You go left and I go right!" With a nod, Psytempest turned to a side street while Uraraka did the same on the other side.

Uraraka was about to be in full view of the market before she saw two local heroes crash into each other and then a building behind them. "What the…" was the only thing she could say before fully arriving at the scene of the fight. She took a quick scan of everything in front of her. A hero with a white costume, half sticking from the third-floor wall, a girl with a brown and green costume knocked out not far from her and the other two heroes that had just become part of what she assumed was a bakery.

She turned to her left and saw the man she now suspected was Deku tumbling some distance after being punched in the face by the giant hero made of muscle. She quickly looked behind Darkmask to see Longwhip making his entrance as well as Psytempest. She shook her head in fear knowing Darkmask was about to get badly beaten if she didn't put a stop to the fight. She needed to step in quickly.

xxxxxxxxxx

Just as Darkmask stood up, Bound was on him once again, but Darkmask quickly pulled his arm back ready to deliver a full punch to the mountain of muscle and take him out of the fight for good. He punched forward only to feel something tightly wrap around his arm. He didn't need to look back to know it was Longwhip's quirk wrapped around his arm. Not that it mattered since Bound's punch landed true and send the vigilante tumbling down once again finally shattering his kabuki mask, exposing his face.

But Darkmask's patience had ran its course and he was immediately on his feet, yelling in fury. "DAMN YOU ALL!" He swung his right arm forward with everything he had. Longwhip came flying forward as well since he was still holding Darkmask's right arm with his quirk. The vigilante spun the whip quirk user like a toy a bunch of times before sending him flying, unknowingly towards Uraraka.

The gravity hero immediately jumped towards the airborne hero and used her quirk to save him from a collision course with the now destroyed bakery. After saving Longwhip, Uraraka quickly turned to the fight just in time to see Bound taking a massive swing at the vigilante. This whole scene was pure chaos.

Uraraka, shook her head in disbelief. There, some distance away was her Deku. She finally got to see the face she longed to see for so long. His green hair and his adorable freckles. But he looked so angry, she barely recognized him. "Stop it, please." She whispered in pain as she grabbed her head. "Stop…"

The vigilante gritted his teeth in anger, and lounged forward towards Bound as the muscle-bound hero launched his own punch forward. Both punches met in the middle, and the massive force broke all the nearby windows and instantly shattered Bound's arm. He fell to his knees clutching his right arm while screaming in pain. Just as Deku was about to deliver another punch to the giant man, rubble from all over the scene started to crash into him, courtesy of Psytempest. As he turned his attention to the telekinesis hero, Longwhip grabbed Bound from a distance and pulled him out of immediate danger.

Darkmask punched the air, stopping the rubble storm around him and sending the telekinesis hero tumbling back. He looked around and balled his fists, intending to stop the fight once and for all as more local heroes started showing up at the scene. He gritted hard, tensing his body and getting ready to deliver rightful retribution to his assailants.

"DEKU STOP!" The sudden sound of Uraraka's voice put an immediate stop to the fight. Darkmask stopped mid movement, eyes wide not believing his hears.

The gravity hero's voice sounded pained, "Deku! Please...just stop!" She was so conflicted. She knew she had a job to do, but she wanted so desperately to save Izuku from serious injury. She knew that with the newly arrived heroes, Deku didn't stand a chance, but that wasn't going to stop him from trying. For a moment nobody moved. Until one of the newly arrived heroes decided to make his move.

"Get him!" A hero with some ninja looking costume jumped towards the vigilante, thinking he would be getting a lucky shot. Instantly Deku reacted, exploding towards the newcomer, and leaving behind a crater where he was just standing. The "ninja" hero's eyes went wide at the sight of the crazed vigilante's fury infused face. Just as Deku was about to connect a powerful punch, a huge claw landed on him, half burying him on the ground.

Everyone looked up to see Ryukyu in her full dragon glory. Deku looked up with bloodshot eyes as he tried to break free of the dragon's grip. She gritted her teeth as she pushed the vigilante further into the ground. "Stay down, Midoriya!" Uraraka took off running towards her friend, fearing he would get seriously injured or worse.

Deku groaned in anger as he pushed up with all his strength and actually pushed up Ryukyu's massive dragon arm. The dragon hero poured more of her massive weight down on Deku, but he didn't budge. "Damn it, Midoriya! I said stay DOWN!" She lifted him off the ground and immediately slammed him down again, making Deku spit out blood.

Uraraka was now on full desperate mode. "Deku! Please, just stop!" She only got a pained grunt from him as more blood came out of his mouth. She quickly looked up to her boss. "Let him go! He's seriously hurt!"

Ryukyu huffed in her dragon form. "I don't think that's a good idea, Uravity."

"Let him go, please! He's not going anywhere!"

Ryukyu thought about it for a second before releasing him and flying up to clear the scene. Deku started to shakily stand up and before Uraraka could do anything, the other heroes reacted. "He's not quitting! Take him down!" One of the new arrivals yelled, making everyone move towards Deku, who was falling on his knees due to his injuries.

Instantly Uraraka was in front of him in a protective fighting stance, snapping at the newcomers like an enraged cobra. "Don't you dare! Get away from him!"

One of the heroes was getting pretty close and looked pissed. "Get out of the way! If you're not going to do your job, let someone else do it!"

Uraraka gave the idiot in front of her a look a of pure fury. The same look she had at UA when she was getting pumped up for the sports festival and put the fear of god in all who saw it. "Go ahead and try me, punk! I'll make you regret it."

The other hero looked at her with a surprised expression, but didn't made a move towards the vigilante as Uravity's look of pure anger was sending a chill down his spine. For a moment nobody made a move as some of the newly arrived heroes looked at each other trying to understand what was going on. Uravity. One of the top heroes in Japan was actually protecting someone they were trying to arrest. It didn't make any sense.

Izuku made some pained noises as he tried to speak, "I can take care of myself." he struggled to get the words out as he was bleeding pretty bad.

Uraraka, looked down on him and her angry expression softened, "It's over, Deku. No more fighting." Izuku didn't even had the strength to look at her as he fell face first on the ground. The gravity hero immediately went to check on him, but he was unconscious. "Deku hang in there, ok." She looked up to the nearest hero, "call for an ambulance!"

"They're already on their way, Uravity." The gravity hero looked behind her to see her boss in her normal form walking towards her. Ryukyu kneeled down next to Izuku and started to check on him. "He'll be okay. This guy is tough."

Before long the scene was filled with flashing lights as police and medical personnel started to arrive. Uraraka looked back down to Deku. She couldn't believe it. After three long years, she finally found him. The boy that had plagued her mind and heart for so long, was finally within reach. She took a second to look at his blood smeared face. He looked different and a lot older. His face looked rough and with scars she didn't remember seeing when he was at UA. Most were small but there was a prominent scar across his left cheek. It looked old but painful. His hair was a lot shorter too. Probably done in an effort to concealed it under his now destroyed kabuki mask.

Before she could keep observing him, police officers quickly approached and put quirk cancelling cuffs on Izuku. Paramedics immediately put him on a stretcher and wheeled him to a nearby ambulance. Other medics were doing the same to the other unconscious heroes at the scene. She tried to follow the paramedics but Ryukyu put a hand on her shoulder, stopping her.

The gravity hero looked back at her boss with a questioning look on her face. After making eye contact, she quickly understood the meaning as she looked down with a sad expression. Ryukyu sighed and gave her subordinate a sad smile. "It's over Uravity." The younger hero looked up at her, tears threatening to fall down her cheeks. "You finally found him."

Uraraka's lower lip started to tremble as tears finally started to run down her cheeks. She was immediately pulled into a gentle hug from the dragon hero. Psytempest approached her coworkers as Uraraka let out quiet sobs on Ryukyu's shoulder. She stayed quiet, deciding to just silently observe the scene, wondering about the real reason for Uravity's unhappy state. There will be a lot of questions after this crazy incident.
