A/N Just a drabble I wrote, my first foray into Helluva Boss stories. Intended as a oneshot, but I might continue at some point.
"Moxxie, get the fuck in here!"
Shit.
Third time in as many weeks. Three fuckups. Three missed targets. Two angry clients yelling down the phone and one breaking into the office with a loaded shotgun and a thirst for blood.
Moxxie stepped into Blitzo's office. The room was dark, the only light coming from the window and a desk lamp. Blitzo sat leant over his desk, his brow was furrowed and his hands steepled in front of his mouth. His tail flicked from side to side behind him, an obvious sign of agitation.
"Shut the door, Moxx." Blitzo stated. Moxxie closed the door behind him and stood still in front of his boss. He didn't know what was going to happen, but he had a pretty good idea what Blitzo was going to say next. What would Millie say? What would she do? Would they have to move back in with his parents? Where would he get a job in this climate?
Questions thundered through Moxxie's mind. Blitzo sat back in his chair.
"How many more times are we going to have this conversation, Moxxie?" Blitzo asked, his voice suspiciously calm.
"Sir, I- Moxxie started.
"Shut the fuck up!" Blitzo yelled. He stood up and kicked his chair, sending it clattering into an open filing cabinet. "I don't want excuses! Every time YOU fuck up a job, that's another hit to this company's credibility! Another nail in my coffin! Do you know how many shady fucks I owe money to?"
"With all due respect, Sir, I-" Moxxie began again, but Blitzo cut him off once more.
"You're a fucking liability, Moxx!" Blitzo roared, storming around his desk, swiping the lamp onto the floor as he did so. The lamp smashed, plunging the room into almost total darkness. Blitzo stopped inches away from Moxxie and stared down at the smaller imp. "Fuck knows what would happen to you if your wife wasn't around to save your ass! I can't imagine what she sees in you!"
That was a step too far.
"Well if YOU knew how to run a business properly, maybe we'd actually have some real clients!" Moxxie yelled back, staring up at Blitzo. "We're operating out of a janitor's closet of an office in the worst district of Imp City! How is this a professional operation?!"
"I've got a plan and- Blitzo started, but now it was Moxxie's turn to cut him off.
"Oh, a plan! What does it involve? More loans from Overlords? Who are you thinking of plunging us into debt to this time, huh? Valentino?" And then Moxxie said something incredibly stupid. Something that he regretted saying the moment it left his lips.
"Or are you planning on sucking another Demon Prince's cock for money?"
He wasn't surprised when Blitzo punched him. Moxxie reeled backwards, slamming into the door of the office and slumping to the floor. He could taste blood. Blitzo looked shocked at what he'd done. The two stared at each other, not saying a word.
"Moxxie, I'm-" But Blitzo's apology never left his lips.
Moxxie launched himself at Blitzo, wrapping his hands around the taller Imp's throat. A fire, hotter than the deepest pits of Hell blazed through Moxxie's blood, driving him onward. The two imps fell to the floor in a desperate struggle. Punches were thrown, insults spat through gritted teeth, neither Imp faltered or held back as the exchange of blows continued.
After what felt like a hour, Blitzo had Moxxie pinned to his desk. Blitzo had his flintlock pistol pressed to Moxxie's temple, Moxxie had a serrated knife pressed to Blitzo's throat. Blood pooled in the corner of Moxxie's mouth. Blitzo had cuts on his cheek from where Moxxie had scratched his face. The two stayed absolutely still, panting from exertion, neither daring to make the final move. They stared at one another, rage burning in their eyes. Moxxie moved first. Slowly, he pulled his hand away and dropped the knife. Blitzo withdrew his pistol and slid it away across the desk, listening as it thudded onto the floor.
Neither took his eyes off the other.
And then in a movement, Blitzo was on top of Moxxie, kissing him. Moxxie was surprised, but didn't resist, kissing back, feeling Blitzo's tongue intertwine with his own. Lust took over and Moxxie's hands snaked their way under Blitzo's shirt, caressing the scarred but toned flesh beneath it. Blitzo pulled back from the kiss and began to nip the smaller Imp's neck gently, running one hand through Moxxie's white hair. Moxxie moaned and writhed in ecstasy as he felt Blitzo's hand work it's way under his belt and into his briefs, grabbing his -
Moxxie sat bolt upright, breathing heavily. He felt around, touching quilts, pillows and finally, Millie's leg. His wife flinched and stirred from her slumber.
"Hon? What's wrong?" Millie groaned, sitting up and putting her hand on Moxxie's shoulder.
Moxxie took a moment to answer. "I had that dream again."
Millie giggled and began to stroke her husband's back. "Which one? The one where you and Blitzo have a death duel or the one where you two hookup?"
"Yes." Moxxie replied, a thousand-yard stare on his face.
"Well that's a new one." Millie said. She kissed Moxxie on the cheek and rested her head on his shoulder. "Well clearly you were enjoying it." She teased, indicating the very obvious lump underneath the sheets covering Moxxie's legs. Moxxie flushed and laid back down, facing away. Millie laid down as well, wrapping an arm around Moxxie's stomach.
"Maybe we should invite Blitzo over for the night at some point." She smirked in the darkness. "You enjoy that kinda thing when I do it to you. And I know Blitzo would say yes in a heartbeat."
"No." Moxxie said flatly, closing his eyes and sighing comfortably as Millie held him. A few moments passed in silence.
"Ah c'mon, Moxx. Might be fu~un." Millie sang. "Plus I wanna know why Prince Stolas enjoys his 'company' so much." She put as much sultry emphasis on 'company' as she could.
"No!" Moxxie hissed quietly. Silence fell. Moxxie could feel the dreamy sense of unconsciousness washing over him as sleep began to take hold.
"Might make him forget about those targets you missed." Millie yawned.
"...Alright. Maybe."
A/N - Hope you enjoyed it! Like I said, I might continue at some point but even if I don't, it's not a bad finishing point. Please leave a review, let me know what you thought. Constructive criticism is most welcome.
