(A/N: Here there! Author-san here. It's been almost a year since my last update, hasn't it? In celebration of the LN 14 English version of Kumo Desu being released last week... here's a chapter. Don't expect consistent updates in the future, if any at that. I'm too busy and don't have the time to write tbh.)

When I got back, both of them were quietly staring at me in shock.

"Huh? What's wrong?"

Apparently, Shiro was watching with some sort of long distance magic viewing skill, and shared her vision with Ariel. They saw my interaction with the Titans up until I brought out 'Oblivion', after which Shiro's vision blanked out. The next thing she knew, all of the Titans were gone. She also realized that I had accidentally destroyed the Sun in the process, and saw me reconstruct it.

"You know, that's beyond the level of even a god like D-sama!", said Ariel.

"D? Who's that?"

I then learned that D was a high-ranking goddess who was the one responsible for implementing the System, and was also responsible for bringing Shiro and the rest of her classmates into this world. Speaking of which, I was quite surprised to learn that Shiro had been reincarnated into this world, after their classroom in Japan was blown up. I guess that's why she knows how to speak Japanese. From the way that Shiro talked about D, it sounded like D calls herself an 'Evil God', and was apparently quite a bit stronger than Shiro.

"You talk as if you've met D in person."

"..."

I hit it on the nose?

"Well, whatever. I won't press the matter anymore. I'm not here to interfere, so if it has nothing to do with me, I won't ask."

It would've been nice if I could meet this 'D' though. From the way Shiro acted, it felt like she didn't want to talk more about D, either from fear or for some unknown reason.

{I believe the most likely reason would be to keep Master and D from meeting.}

What?! Seriously? Why would that be a bad idea?

{Because Master's personality is likely similar to D's.}

Oh c'mon! Now I seriously want to meet her. You definitely know where I can find her, right?

{We said 'No Spoilers' hehe :) }.

So I'll have to have Shiro tell me then.

"But since you've got so much power, couldn't you easily fix this planet?" Ariel asked.

"Well I could, but I won't for a few reasons:

Number 1, I'm an outsider so I shouldn't interfere with your affairs.

Number 2, wouldn't that put all of your effort to waste?

Number 3, that'd be no fun for me, after all, it's not everyday that you encounter a video game world with lots of juicy plot."

"Fair enough. Would you mind helping us if we are ever in need of help, then?"

"Hmm. Well you two seem strong enough, so I doubt you'll ever need my help. Oh! But there's something I suppose I can help you with right now."

"That is?"

"Aren't you about to die soon? Your soul seems to be at its breaking point. I could help you with that."

I was greeted with complete silence after that. Ariel put her head down and couldn't meet my eyes, while Shiro looked away.

"Sorry.. It's just.. I feel bad for leaving you in such a state. I remember a long time ago I had a similar thing happen to the family I loved. And the worst part of it was that the whole thing was my fault. So if I could help you, who gave me tons of knowledge about this world, I would do so."

I felt Shiro's tug on my sleeve, and when I looked at her, she seemed to be silently crying. Tears were dripping down her chin and onto the velvet carpet. She silently nodded and said, "Please".

Ciel, if you could.

Ariel's body then glowed with a shining glow, before slowly fading to reveal an unharmed Ariel standing there in complete shock.

"Hey! What just happened?"

"I created a replacement soul complete with your original personality, memories, and skills and replaced your old, worn out soul with this brand new one. Sweet, right?"

"Um.. You said you recreated my skills as well, right…?"

"Yes..?"

"Well, it's just that I can't seem to use any of my old skills right now.. Or more accurately, I can't seem to pull up my status page."

What did you do, Ciel?

{Nothing of consequence, Master. I believe the reason for this is that I used [Information King Akashic Records] to recreate individual Ariel's skills. Originally her skills were supported by the System, which in itself is a large magic spell. Therefore, Ariel's new skills are incompatible with the System, so naturally she cannot see her status. Additionally, due to her original status being quite high, I had to inject a fair bit of magicules into her soul, in the process reinforcing it, to ensure she has the same stats as before. As of now, she has lost the System's support, and can be classified as a middle-tier god.}

Hm. Hm. I see. I see. So basically, what you're saying is that you WENT AND TURNED HER INTO A GOD?

{Are you proud of me? :)}

NO! That goes beyond the line of "NOT MEDDLING" in this world! How many times do I have to tell you?

{But I have determined there are no issues.}

Still… How am I supposed to explain this…

{Just tell the truth.}

"Well… How do I put it? I might have accidentally turned you into… a god?"

"Wow! Is this how it feels to be in a regular human body? It feels completely different without any skills."

Anddd she's not listening..

"Um hello? Miss Ariel-san?"

"Oh yes, hi! That's me! I heard what you said, by the way. So what now?"

"How are you so carefree right now?"

"Hmm… How should I put it? It's kinda cool, ya know?! Besides, White over there's already gone through something similar to this, so I'm not surprised, really."

"Hm? Care to explain?"

….

"So let me get this straight. You, Shiro-san, an asshole named Potimass who literally now has a newly-made asshole, and the Pope teamed up a few years ago to take down an miles-wide UFO carrying a continent-destroying bomb, and in the process, Shiro-san accidentally ate the bomb and evolved into a god?"

"Yup!"

"I see… That's quite the story."

"You don't believe me?"

"No, no. It's not that I don't believe you, since I've gone through something like that before as well. You see…"

I then told them my story of how I fought Veldora and ended up evolving into an Ultimate Slime.

"Hahaha! So you ate your best friend and evolved into a god-like being?"

"It's embarrassing when you put it that way… Well anyways, what are you going to do now?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, didn't Shiro end up not being able to use her powers for a few years after evolving?"

"Oh that was different. Look! I can use my Threads already!"

And there, coming out of her fingertips, were spider threads. Right now Ariel was playing around with them, and making different shapes like a child who first encountered Silly String. The first shape she made was a cradle, followed by a diamond, then a hand drum, then a boat, and finally Tokyo Tower. I don't know why, but I got a weird feeling of deja vu. Since this was kind of awkward, I tried to excuse myself.

"Whelp. I better get going now then."

"Halt! Where are you going?"

"Eh? To check out this world, I guess? While I'm here, I might as well do some sightseeing, right?"

"Stop it right there. I can't just let my shining savior leave like that. How does this sound? Let's host a feast for you!"

"Umm…", I said, while clearly being tempted by the alluring thought of delicious food.

"There'll be beer!"

"I'm in. What are you waiting for? Hurry up and start preparing."

{Master, may I remind you what happened the last time you got drunk?}

Please don't.

{Last time, you ended up obliterating half the multiverse resulting from a single, uncontrolled burp.}

I promise I'll control myself this time, please?

{Azathoth, make sure to limit Master's power this time to make sure that doesn't happen again.}

[Got it.]

Why does it feel like I have a dad and mom babysitting me?

{[We heard that.]}

Oops.

"In the meantime, why don't you take a stroll around the Demon Capital? Try not to cause trouble though. The feast will be held in an hour; how's that sound?"

"Great! I'll see you later."

With that, I teleported outside and above the capital to get a bird's eye view. Hopefully something interesting catches my attention.

*Shiro's Perspective*

After Rimuru left, Ariel immediately flopped back down on her chair.

"Ahhh. These chairs are the BEST! They just take away all my stress."

Clearly since this was unrelated, I shot Ariel a cold glare with my eyes closed.

"Ok ok ok. I get it. You wanted to talk about Rimuru, right? Well frankly, I don't know what to think. First he shows up and kills a few upper-tier gods just for the fun of it, then comes and makes me a god. You know what I'm saying? I can't understand him at all."

Err. Still wrong.

"Huh? What else is there? Oh yeah! Hehehe. I bet you're jealous right now, aren't 'cha? Magical girl Demon Lord Ariel-chan suddenly gets turned into a god but DOESN'T lose her powers? If only this also happened to a certain someone I know."

*Shiro proceeds to punch Ariel in the face*

"Ow! That still hurts?! Not fair! By the way, why don't you want Rimuru to meet D?"

"..."

"Hey! You can't trick me. I'm also partly made of you, remember? Tell me, otherwise there'll be divine punishment!"

Ecckk. Not again. Stop fondling my boobs as divine punishment.

"Haha! Gotcha! So? What's the reason?"

"Rimuru is exactly like D."

"Seriously? Well either way, I'm sure D-sama already knows about what's been going on, so I doubt you'll be able to keep him away for long. Who do you think is stronger between the two of them?"

"Rimuru"

"Seriously? Isn't D one of the strongest gods?"

"Mhm"

"Anyways, no point in thinking about it now; what's the current status of the battle with the 7th army?"

"Everything as planned"

"Great! Let's get this feast started!"

(A/N: Did you notice the Easter Egg?

Hint: It's from the Tensura anime.)
