'You didn't run?' That question kept on running through Adrian's head, as well as what it could mean. A heavy feeling had begun to grow in Adrian's head since he asked that question. Questions had begun to fill his mind, questions such as why could he do what he is doing to the civilians of Paris? Why was it that he didn't see that what he was doing was wrong? That heavy feeling had now begun to feel like a tennis ball being knocked around his head in a tennis match between 'what Natalie meant by "you didn't run?"' as well as its opponent thought of 'why his father could want to speak to him with no delay?'
The more he thought about what Natalie's question could mean, the more he began to think about why she would ask it? Why would she need to ask it? If she had gone through a similar situation? has she asked herself this question? How much does she know? If she could be his ally? All of these questions were begging to make him dizzy as he tried to reach for the answers in his mind, but nothing would come to him. The questions were beginning to shout into his mind, shouting that began to sound louder than the sounds of the bells of Notre dame.
The only time his father wants to speak to him is when he is in trouble or when he was sought out by akumas live on TV. This thought alone made Adrian question if he was being called to his fathers' office because he was in trouble? If he was being called due to now being able to explain his actions with the akumas? Was he going to apologise for putting him through all the battles? Was he going to be yelled at? Adrian knew that since his father knew where he should be during the Akuma attacks, he would know when Adrian could have been home safe when he wasn't.
The questions began to blur together as they got tossed to each other in his minds tennis court as he attempted to answer them before they were revealed in a way that hurt him. The weight of all the questions and his responsibility of being Chat Noir began to make him ache from standing up for so long, so he brought his head down and started to sink into himself as a way to take the weight from his mind. 'Please just let me rest. I can't take all this today. Please' Adrian pleaded to the questions in his mind as he tried his best to file the questions away so that he could deal with them later.
Adrian kept his eyes on the path they were taking to distract him from the questions swirling around in his mind. He knew this path well it's a path Adrian took regularly. It is the path to his fathers' office. That is what Adrian knew it as in the past. Now it is the path to Hawkmoths office. Adrian followed quietly along the corridor of patterned butterflies seeking out their leader. He had taken this corridor recently today so full of curiosity, and now here he was again following the same path so full of questions this time he knows that he may not want the answers to his questions. Questions that could make him regret ever leaving the safety of his bed and bathroom.
Natalie made long strides as she made her way to the cold office, which brought so much dread to the young Agreste. Her cold stare bore into the line of the path they took. Adrian watched her every movement. It was like following a robot to the master that created it. Going into the pits of hell where her red colouring shines. The glint in her metallic eyes gleams through her glasses as she files off your faults to her maker without the ability to help you out of it. So that he can decide the punishment fit for such things listed off to him from his obedient robot.
When they finally reached Gabriel's office door, Adrian straightened himself up to avoid being given the scowl for slouching. He was a professional model. Models don't slouch. As Natalie opened the large door, Adrian began to look at the room in more detail. The floor had been patterned with black and white diamonds. They filled the room's floor, making it feel like they lead straight to the portrait of his mother. The painting of his mother was of her in a glorious golden peacock dress. That portrait now overshadows his father. His father was beneath the angelic mother on his large touch screen monitor like he always is. Adrian knew this to be where his father spends most of his day. With the information he has learned earlier that day, Adrian knows that is unless 'Hawkmoth' decides to akumatise someone. Then who knows where he goes?
