As they stepped out of the elevator, Adrian began to think back to his conversation with Ladybug about how this situation is like trying to cross a broken bridge with no powers. Only right now, he is crossing a metal bridge with the man he thought he could trust with his life, holding a metaphorical dagger to his back, all while not knowing that the 'dagger' even exists.

Once they started to get closer, Adrian could make out a golden coffin-like object in between two bushes, and when he looked more closely at the bushes, he could just about make out caterpillars munching at the leaves next to the blooming flowers.

The beauty was taken away when Gabriel used the remote to unlock the outside casing hiding a glass coffin, which reminded Adrian of the story his mother would read to him when he was younger - 'Snow White and the seven Dwarves.' "Mum?" Adrian gasped out in shock at who he saw in the glass coffin.

"She's alive." his father reassured him. "The peacock miraculous was broken when we found it in Tibet. It made her very ill. Still, your mother used it, sending her into a magically induced coma. This is the only thing keeping her alive. If the power were to be shut off, her chances of surviving are slim. This is why, we need to get the 'ladybug' and 'black cat' miraculous. With them, we would be able to bring your mother back to us. We can be a happy family again like we used to be." Gabriel explained.

Adrian thought back to the party Nino threw for him when his father had left for a business trip, a day when he was free from his father's power. He thought about the amount of electricity they were using. 'An Akuma appeared that day, an Akuma sent by Hawkmoth, an Akuma sent by my ...father.' Adrien realised fearfully.

'I could have killed her?' Adrian thought in shock. His skin had gone white as he looked at the woman, he knew to be his mother. She looked like she was asleep, he wanted to run up to her, scream at her to just open her eyes, to wake up, to say that it was all just a joke, just a cruel joke, but instead, he just stood there in shock unable to move, feeling sick to his stomach.

Gabriel glanced down at his son. Seeing his pale face, he realised that it was too soon to bring him down here "maybe you should go to bed. We have been up a bit late today." He suggested as he walked Adrian back to the glass elevator closing the coffin up as he turned his son around to walk in the right direction.

As Adrian took the ride back up to his father's office, he couldn't stop looking at his mother's enclosure 'after all this time, she's been here, all this time.' When he reached his father's office, he didn't speak. When he went to leave to go to his room, his father followed.
