The one where Kammy takes care of a sick Junior, and has a brief heart to heart with his parents.

Calm times.

"ACHOO!

Junior sneezed rather noisily, sniffing as he was sitting in his bed with a runny nose. He groaned as he fell flat on his belly, not at all a fan of the headache that his current illness was inducing in him.

"Ugh...I hate being sick. My head and tummy hurts a lot..." Junior moaned while briefly rolling about on his bed, before returning to settling on his belly with a resigned groan. "I can't go out and play right now because of this stupid sickness. Ack!" Junior coughed while lightly rubbing his nose, before taking some tissue and sneezing noisily into it. "I don't wanna have to sit I side all day! I wanna play with my brothers and sister!"

"That's just too bad, your Princeliness. You have to rest up properly or else you won't get any better." Kammy uttered as she was stirring her ladle in her cauldron, a rainbow colored mist emitting from it. "You'll have to keep taking my medicine so that the pain doesn't bother you so much. You're a strong young koopa, child. This will pass."

"I want it to pass faster." Junior whined while attempted to stomp the ground...barely making a dent in it.

"See? Your stomps have gotten weaker! That should have at least cracked this floor!" Kammy turned towards him as she poured the contents of her soup into a bowl, before moving over to Junior while hovering on her broom. "Now don't be a royal pain, my child. Be a good prince and say 'ah'."

Junior grumbled at having to be babied like this, though he gave in and reluctantly did as he was told. After a first spoonful of medicine, he briefly gagged, sticking his tongue out. "Blegh! This is nasty!"

"It's always the worst during the first spoonful. Trust me, the taste improves."

"It tastes like Donkey Kong's feet..."

Kammy raised an eyebrow. "How would you know something like that...?"

"I got into a fight with that stupid Diddy Kong, and Donkey Kong sucker kicked me. I wasn't ready for it at all."

Kammy snapped her fingers. "Ah! So THAT was the reason Lord Bowser went on a one Koopa rampage across Kong Country! I was wondering why he was all the way out there. Mmmh. Yes, that also explains the quakes of the planet. That was the two of them trading punches."

"I didn't even get to see Papa best him up..."

"Not an important detail, young one. Now come on, let's see those fangs. Say 'ah'."

"Uggggh."

"Close enough."

This continued for a while, with Kammy tenderly feeding Junior his medical soup, and he found that the taste did indeed become more bearable with more spoonfuls. After he slurped the last of it, Kammy nodded to her empty bowl and lightly petted his head.

"See? That wasn't so hard, was it? Then again, you're the royal Prince! Of course it was a peace of cake for you!"

"Kinda wish it actually did taste like cake..." Junior muttered with a pout, briefly sticking out his tongue before she once again laid on his side. Kammy sighed and shook her head, again patting the young prince on the head.

"You'll be alright, my child. You're a growing, strong young boy. Something like this can't possibly defeat you."

"Wah...I guess..."

"I know what I'm talking about. After all, I helped raise up your father. He had a sniffly nose nearly all the time!" Kammy chuckled into her paw. "He's never going to tell you that himself, so I figured I might as well." She coughed a bit and waved her paw back and forth. "All in all, you'll feel better in no time. So long as you rest well and not strain yourself too much."

"Okay..."

"Goodness, you're getting sleepy." Kammy hummed as she waved her wand, draping a comforting blanket over Juniors form as he laid on his pillow. "Better get to it, young prince. It's going to be the speediest method to your recovery." Kammy noted while sweetly kissing the side of his head. "Sleep well."

Kammy was well on her way to leaving the Koopa Prince to his slumber. Junior sighed as he pulled the covers over himself, muttering something.

"Night, Grammy Kammy..."

Kammy briefly stopped in place due to hearing the nickname. Only a small piece of her was slightly irritated. The rest of her, however? The way he said it was quite tired, indicating how sleepy he really was. But with how warm, sincere, and affectionate he said 'grammy'...

Kammy briefly didn't know what to say.

As she was passing by atop her broom, Bowser and Rosalina passed by her, with the former coming to stop her in place with a paw.

"Hey, Kammy. What's with the look on your face?" Bowser raised an eyebrow, while Rosalina also turned towards her with her hands clasped "is Junior doing alright?"

"He's resting nicely. The prince will recover quickly so long as he rests well and takes his medicine regularly. This is something he'll overcome effortlessly." Kammy quietly reassured while folding her arms and lowering her head, to the point where her hat hid her face. "It was a good thing that he chose to rest. The child had called me 'grammy' with all the warmth he could muster, before he completely went to sleep."

Bowser and Rosalina looked at each other, before the former turned back to Kammy. "Well of course he did. You're his grandmother after all." Bowser sincerely remarked, folding his arms. "I know that sometimes, you're not exactly a fan of having your age poked at, but Junior really does see you as his grandmother. Strict as you can be recently, you're very dear to him. And as much as you irritate me, you're still very dear to me too. So yeah, I don't mind if Junior sees you as his grandmother."

"I find it very pleasing to hear." Rosalina smiles while clasping her hands.

"You do?" Kammy blinked.

"It is very obvious, Kammy. You too, are part of the family." Rosalina placed a hand over her heart with a sincere smile. "Let us both continue doing our best for Junior."

"Heh. You don't have to tell me." Kammy cackled as she flew away on her broom, leaving Bowser and Rosalina to their lonesome. As she was flying through the castle, she pulled her hat over her eyes and smiled, as a single tear could be seen rolling down her cheek.

Tch. I'm supposed to be a wicked witch of a magikoopa. Something as silly as this shouldn't be making me so happy.

And yet in spite of that, it did.

In this vein, she supposed being seen as an elderly grandmother to the young prince wasn't so bad.

Magikoopas who mostly see her wicked side have some justification in calling her a wicked witch.

But as we see here, she's fully capable of bringing out her sweet side when she really wants to.
