Team Natsu and the One Ring: The Two Towers
Hey, what's up everyone! Merry Christmas!
I'm sorry for taking so long, but I'm here now with the next chapter of Team Natsu and the One Ring. And don't worry, I'm not abandoning this story. So you can rest easy knowing I still plan on continuing this. Anyway, you've all been waiting long enough for this moment so I'll just shut up now and let you all enjoy this chapter.
Also I apologize for this chapter being so short, but this just wasn't a very long scene. I promise the next chapter will be longer though. Hopefully...
Anyway, enjoy! ^^
Disclaimer: I don't own Fairy Tail or LOTR. Fairy Tail belongs to Hiro Mashima, and the LOTR books belong to JRR Tolkein (but I don't remember the director's name who did the movies).
Chapter 14 Captives Of The Uruk-hai
The group of Uruk-hai who had captured Merry, Pippin, Wendy, and Carla could now be seen running with their captured targets and taking them back to Isengard with them. Merry, Pippin, and Wendy were each being carried on the back of an Uruk-hai, while Carla was still in the sack that she had been tied up in when she was first captured.
"Merry!" Pippin quietly called out only to get no response from the other hobbit who appeared to be unconscious and was in pretty bad shape and had a cut on the right side of his face. "Merry!" he tried again with still no response, as the Uruk-hai carrying Merry soon hurried on ahead of the Uruk-hai carrying Pippin.
Pippin then looked over at Wendy, though he noticed she was suddenly looking a bit pale while looking as though she was about ready to throw up. "Wendy, are you alright over there? Is it motion sickness?" he called over to her worriedly.
Wendy nodded. "I know our captors aren't really vehicles, but... Considering how fast they're running and the fact that we're being bumped around as they're running... it's still enough to trigger motion sickness...," she managed to say inbetween looking ready to puke at any moment.
"What's wrong with Wendy? Is she alright? Hold on a minute!" Carla's voice called out from inside the sack she was still tied up in. Since her paws were tied up, she managed to grab the hilt of her elven dagger with her tail before cutting a hole in the sack just big enough for her to poke her head through, "Much better. Now then, Wendy? Are you alright, child?"
"I'm fine, Carla… Just feeling a little motion sick from this very bumpy ride is all…," Wendy managed to reply weakly.
Carla looked surprised as she wondered just how fast those Uruks could run if it was enough to cause her to become motion sick despite their captors not being vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Uruks had ended up stopping for a moment when another group of orcs came out from behind a rock.
"You're late, our master grows impatient. He wants the Shire-rats and the Earth Land mages now!" one of the orcs demanded.
"I don't take orders from orc-maggots. Saruman will have his prize, we will deliver them," the lead Uruk-hai replied.
Pippin then decided to use this chance to try to help Wendy with her motion sickness as he called out to the Uruks to slow down. "Please, Wendy's suffering from motion sickness!" he pleaded.
Carla deadpanned. "Honestly, I doubt our captors will even do anything to help her considering the obvious fact that we're their prisoners," she huffed, even though she knew Pippin was just trying to help. She had a bad feeling about this, though too late as the Uruk-hai had already paused to look over at them.
"Ohhh, the little mage is feeling ill is she? Lucky for her, we have medicine! Bring it!" the lead Uruk-hai then ordered.
Wendy then decided to try to pretend her motion sickness hadn't been bothering her and firmly shut her mouth tightly as another Uruk came over to her with said 'medicine'. Unfortunately the Uruk managed to pry her mouth open while not caring that she was only a child as he forced it down her throat, making her cringe and then gag at the foul tasting liquid making its way down her throat.
Carla's eyes widened as she could only watch in horror.
Pippin immediately felt bad and tried to call out to the Uruk to stop. "Stop it!"
Wendy just glared at the Uruk and spat it back out right into the Uruk's face just to piss him off.
The Uruk suddenly grabbed Wendy by her hair. "You're lucky Saruman wants you alive, you little brat! Otherwise I would kill you for that!" he growled.
"Unhand Wendy this instant, you big brute!" Carla shouted furiously.
The lead Uruk-hai suddenly looked over at both her and Pippin. "Why? You two want some?" he asked mockingly. "Then keep your mouths shut!" he then told them when neither Pippin nor Carla made a reply to that.
"I most certainly will not keep my mouth shut though!" Carla huffed defiantly after the Uruk had then turned his back to them. She then looked over at Wendy. "Are you alright, Wendy?" she asked her worriedly.
Wendy nodded. "I think so... That was awful though...," she replied as she was still cringing and gagging on whatever that was that they forced down her throat.
"I'm sorry, Wendy," Pippin apologized while feeling bad for what their captors just did to her.
"It's ok... You were just trying to help, Pippin... Besides, at least it can't get any worse. By the way, was something wrong with Merry earlier?" Wendy then asked worriedly as she had also heard him trying to call over to Merry earlier
"Don't worry, I'm alright," Merry suddenly spoke up, making Pippin, Wendy, and Carla look over at him, "Hello, Pip. And Wendy and Carla too. Are you doing alright over there Wendy?" he then asked the Sky Dragon Slayer worriedly after noticing she was still trying to recover from the stuff that their captors had forced down her throat.
Wendy nodded. "It was just a bit of motion sickness, that's all...," she replied.
Just then the Uruk-hai ended up picking up the smell of man-flesh, as they called it, nearby and were forced to quicken their pace which didn't go unnoticed by Pippin and Wendy at hearing that their friends were catching up to them.
"Aragorn," Pippin said hopefully in realization.
Wendy started sniffing the air. "And Natsu and the others," she added, though what she heard the Uruk-hai sense next made her freeze and sniff the air again, though she was also somehow beginning to feel something wrong with her abilities as her sense of smell was suddenly to weaken a bit.
"These must be the mages from those two Dark Guilds that allied with Saruman," the lead Uruk-hai said at sensing them.
"The remaining Fellowship has picked up your trail, I see. That won't do at all. It was a good thing Saruman had planned for this and had Gael send us out here to deal with them," one of the mages spoke. Her name was Reina, a Silver Make Mage of Demon Card as well as a femme fatale seductress who isn't afraid to get her hands dirty when it comes to fighting.
"We have been sent to intercept said group that is chasing you and delay them from rescuing their friends," another mage added. His name was Jegan, a Second Generation Forest Dragon Slayer of Demon Card and also wields a large broadsword.
The other two with them were Brosnan, another member of Demon Card who is a large monster-like human wearing a giant suit of knight armor and long golden hair and wields a great sword and also possesses Eye Magic that fires powerful golden eyes from his eyes. And the fourth, much to Wendy's shock, was none other than a brainwashed Ultear Milkovich and former member of the Independent Guild Crime Sorciere now somehow restored to her former youth once more.
Wendy sniffed, though she had to strain her senses a bit due to her abilities slowly weakening, again and smelled the evil intent from these mages that showed up to try to stop their friends from catching up to them. Let them try, Natsu and the others will defeat them, she thought inwardly to herself with a confident look set on her face that didn't go unnoticed by the hobbits.
"Wendy, what's going on now? What do you smell?" Carla suddenly called out from still inside her sack.
"Demons and monsters, that's what," Wendy replied, as Merry and Pippin also listened in with concern.
"So then are these the Dark Guilds from your world that joined Saruman?" Merry inquired.
Wendy nodded. "I can sense that they're full of evil and malice," she replied as she continued to listen in on what they were saying, "That's not all though... Whatever that was that our captors forced down my throat... I think it might be weakening my abilities somehow," she added worriedly.
Carla and the hobbits became worried at what she just said about her abilities weakening. And to say Carla was furious was an understatement, more like she was enraged and she swore that she would make the Uruk-hai suffer for harming Wendy like this.
"Continue on your way. We shall deal with delaying their friends from rescuing them," Brosnan told the Uruk-hai who were now preparing to quicken their pace.
As the Uruks continued to move on once more, Wendy looked over to notice that Pippin had managed to pull the brooch off of his cloak and toss it onto the ground for their friends to find as their captors continued to hurry on their way. Getting the same idea herself as well when her hair ended up sweeping forward into her face, Wendy suddenly managed to catch one of her hair ribbons in between her teeth as she managed to pull it out of her hair and throw it onto the ground where it landed just slightly a couple few inches away from Pippin's brooch. Luckily both the brooch and hair ribbon managed to survive being stepped on by the Uruk-hai as they continued to quicken their pace and continue their march. Unfortunately, however, they didn't go unnoticed by Ultear as she suddenly reached down to swipe both the brooch and hair ribbon up off the ground and hold onto them in order to prevent the remaining Fellowship from finding them before then following after Jegan, Reina, and Brosnan to go prepare to ambush the remaining Fellowship when they eventually reach this point.
Hope y'all enjoy this chapter! ^^ Credit to Konsilisto for the idea of Wendy getting motion sick and the Uruks forcing whatever that was down her throat (basically kinda like with Merry in the canon, but minus the motion sickness part there). To be honest I wasn't sure about using that idea at first since the Uruks aren't actually vehicles, but then I thought considering how fast they're going probably would be enough to trigger Wendy's motion sickness. And then the stuff that gets forced down her throat messes up her abilities. Anyway yeah, thanks for that idea Konsilisto.
Also credit to Warmachine375 for the idea of the Demon Card members being sent out to delay the remaining Fellowship members (aka Aragorn's group) from rescuing their captive friends (the fight scene for that is still in progress at the moment though).
Anyway, hope you all have a Merry Christmas!
Consider this chapter my Christmas present to you. ^^
