Hey everyone,
This chapter is going to cover various characters. I am going to cover Jessie (Harry's younger brother), Sirius and Dumbledore. And yes, I am going to cover the whole thing with Arianna. I am feeling a little bad over having forgotten for this long, but at first, I just didn't know what to do about her and, like I said, after I just forgot, because of the hype of the returned parents.
Now I am not going to lie, this chapter might be a bit short, but it might also be of a nice, acceptable length. Also, I plan to go through this entire story with a fine-toothed comb sometime this year, probably after I finish doing so for To Read Into The Universe, though I might do Destiny's Saying first and then this one. Either way, expect the mistakes in this story to be fixed before fall.
Also, I am aware that Article 13 has been accepted by the European Parliament - or whatever - but I do not care, at least not yet. This whole act is not going to count for us for another two years, so until then I am going to continue posting updates every month. At least until as many of these stories are completed. Though I am hesitant to start new stories because of this as well, sorry.
Hope you understand,

Chapter 50
A Problematic Night

3rd of November 1993
Great Hall, Hogwarts
Jessie Potter's POV

A minute of shocked silence passes before everyone at the tables near the slabs we are sitting on starts to scream, shout and yell at each other in feared shock and horrid confusion. Yet while I do hear all of my Gang and Squad members trying to discuss potential things to do with the adults sitting with us, do I just turn to look back at where my brother had been only minutes ago, thinking aloud.
"Hold on a second." And mum is the only one who notices me looking as he asks: "What's wrong, Jessie?" And a few others turn to me as well, the sight of the parents and family of their missing student causing for a lot of the feared screaming to stop slowly but surely. "Well, Harry was covered by those bars, right? So he'd be covered in shadows as well. Who's to say he wasn't just shadow-transported to his bed in the dorm or something?"

This astounds and shocks a lot of those around me silent and then suddenly the Chasers yell: "WHY DIDN'T WE THINK OF THAT?" And I can just tell that a lot of those around us are thinking the same thing. Then Dumbledore looks to the floor and calls: "Twipsy." And a very interesting looking creature appears in front of the man, who asks: "Could you go check on the Third year boys dorm and see if my grandson is in there?"
The creature nods, causing for his large ears to flap alongside his head and pops out, only to pop back in half a minute later and he says: "Yes, Master Headmaster sir. And Twipsy made sure that young Master would sleep well by changing young Master's cloths into nightclothes, sir." The man thanks the creature which pops out again afterwards and the Headmaster sighs as he says:
"I do believe this can be seen as a sign that we should all follow my grandson's example and turn in for the night as well. Sirius my boy, I spoke with the House Elves earlier this morning and private rooms have been arranged for all parents to stay in. Don't worry, Molly, they are all one floor under the Gryffindor common room with a staircase leading straight to it." At which all of the adults nod in grateful relief and acceptance.

The Great Hall then slowly but surely starts to empty out and Rosaline and Jeremy quickly make sure to put the slabs and the foliage covering them away before our parents guide us away. And while dad gives mum, Jeffrey and me a warm hug before joining Fudge, Madam Bones, Mss. Jorkins and her boss, Mr. Crouch out of the castle, does mum lead us up the Grand Staircase.
"So, what was that creature?" I can't help but ask mum after we got up a few staircases and the man answers: "They're called House-Elves. They are the beings that were described back in the chapter of the Quidditch World Cup." And only then do I realize that the creature definitely did look a lot like the one described in that chapter. "Huh, guess I was too tired to make the connection." I mutter, making the man smile at me with loving care.
This alone is something I have been enjoying a lot ever since the man returned and while I have known about the file that is now, again, back in Irma's hands for some time, did I start to truly understand why the older Harry from the future burst out crying when he first read it. And then I decide to be honest with my mother and whisper:
"Mum, is it – is it wrong that I –." But the man moves closer to where I am walking and pulls me close against him as he whispers: "No son. When I woke up that first morning and realized that I was in a sleeping bag with the man I loved and saw you and Jeffrey, I let out a few tears of my own. It's a perfectly normal reaction and I'm sure we share it with the others." And I notice Jeffrey nodding at us, making me smile at the two of them.

We then reach the Seventh floor and all of the parents give their kids warm hugs, mum hugging me and Jeffrey close and whispering: "Give Harry a warm hug from me and explain why I'm not there to do it myself, okay?" We nod at him and then follow Ron and the other Lions up another floor, Hermione giving the password to the Fat Lady. The woman looks a little put off and I guess this is because she no longer houses her old students, making me smile at her care for them.
I then notice that there are eighteen sleeping bags set all around the common room, set against the walls and laid down in such a way they don't get in the way for Lions who still want to sit down and chill before going to bed. Yet both because there are still a few Lions who are sitting around and because I'm still a little worried, do I still follow Ron instead of picking one.
"I'm going to stay with Harry until the other Lions go to bed. I – I need to see that my brother's alright, especially now that that new ability of his has been unlocked and because I worry for him. I don't like it, but – now that I know I'm his brother – all I can think of is how much he has been suffering over the years, especially in his youth and his future self."
I explain to Ron as he spots me after heading up the staircase and the boy nods, his face proving that he understands exactly where I'm coming from before he jokes: "Shouldn't it be the other way around, seeing as how you're the youngest and all?" At which I joke back: "Are you brave enough to ask your sister that same question?""Not a chance." He laughs and we laugh as we head up.

And when we reach the boy's dorm, do I feel a strong sense of relief fill me up when I see Harry fast asleep in one of the beds, Neville near the other and getting ready for the night himself. "I got to say, mate. Your sister was really scary. The fact that she was able to bend that bar with just a small vine." And Ron shudders, Neville whitening a little as he nods.
"It's just the way Rosaline is, though none of you have to worry. She's never like that with any of us, only with people like Dudley and whoever was stupid enough to try and cast that dark spell." I reassure them both and then Seamus and Dean come in and Seamus asks: "Am I the only one who wonders who it was?" To which I shake my head and say: "No, though I'm more curious which choice they'll make. If they're smart, they'll report to their Head of House."

The other boys nod and Dean asks: "What will she do if she has to search him out herself?""She'll take Isaac and Joshua with her." I coldly state and Dean asks: "What is with those two anyway? I mean, sure being a Metal Elemental is pretty amazing, but – aren't they, like wallflowers?" To which I smirk and say: "And just like everyone else, that fact makes you underestimate them.
Think about it, Dean, wall-flowers are hardly ever seen. Therefore, you hardly ever see what they do when you're not paying attention." And this seems to really frighten the lot of them, making me smirk as I say: "And they're not even our strongest fighters. We call on Isaac for those that annoy us, Edena for those that try to really hurt us – and the twins for our enemies.
And now that we know their parentage, I can safely say that they have their father's wildness and their mother's temper. Though you guys have nothing to worry about. This only counts to those we consider our enemies. We just divide everyone we know in three categories: friends, enemies and people we just don't care about. We do have three sub categories for the second, but still."

The four boys sigh in relief and then Ron smiles at where my brother is still sleeping peacefully as he says: "I know those books are in Harry's POV and that we are already fighting hard to prevent everything that happened in the fourth book so far, but still. To know that you guys are willing to do this to monsters like Voldemort and that bastard down in the chamber is really reassuring."
I smile at him over this, but then grimace as I look down through the door that leads downstairs and I say: "We know that there is that whole prophesy that Irma and Irina made, but still. I'm glad too, especially over the fact that Harry is no longer hiding his powers and the fact that I now get to be there for him. Though if I know my friends, I need to head down. I think Jeffrey is about to need my help. Let me know when Harry wakes up, okay?"
The boys nod, looking curious and confused, yet I just keep quiet and head out. And when I reach the common room, do I get proven right as Jeffrey is working his hardest to keep Jeremy and Jason off the floor using his right arm to keep the two boys above the floor and using the others to cleave through any slabs that the two boys try to summon. I quickly start to help him with the latter of his two tasks, but use my free arm to open the window next to me.
Hedwig instantly flies in and lands on the sill and I hiss: "Get mum. We need help. Jeremy and Jason want to use their powers to get down to the Chamber themselves. They want to take out that prisoner down there, because of what Ginny said." The owl bobs her head and flies back out while I focus back on cleaving through the slabs and covering their faces with wind to keep them from ordering us to stop like I'm sure they're about to.

A few minutes later does the Fat Lady open up again and to my relief do both mum as well as Uncle Regulus and Uncle Severus walk in, all of their eyes widening when they see us. Hoping beyond hope that the two boys will stop their efforts now that their parents are here, do I turn to Jeffrey, who nods and drops the two, stopping the streams of wind that kept them above the floor.
"What is going on here?" Uncle Severus asks and Jeremy turns red while Jason turns white and Isaac answers: "They wanted to use their powers to travel down to the Chamber, to take down the prisoner and keep his dark thoughts from continuing to hurt Harry." And Jason mumbles: "We are the leaders of our Gang and Squad." Yet he still cringes away when he spots his father glaring at him over this. "Leave it to me." Uncle Regulus then tells his partner and he walks over.
And just the look on his face makes me feel for his sons as he looks at them stoically, not showing any care, warmth or love on his cold face before he makes just one statement. "So, you finally have your parents back and now you decide to bring their greatest nightmares to life. I hope you're proud of yourselves, both of you." And instantly the two boys look down, obviously feeling horrible.

"You two will abdicate your roles as Leaders to Rosaline and Rosemary until your father and I consider you two to have earned back this right. You will grab your sleeping bags and come with us. You will only interact with your friends when in the Great Hall and stay with us, where we can see you, when we go to bed. And I will not hear one word of objection from either of you about any of this. Do I make myself clear?" And the two quietly mumble: "Yes mother."
Uncle Regulus nods and turns around, walking out and, obviously just as he expected, having the two boys following in his wake, Uncle Severus walking out after him, a strongly impressed look on his face as he lets the portrait close behind him. I finally head further down as I was standing on the staircase leading up to the dormitory doors and move over to where mum is standing, Hedwig moving off of his shoulder and landing on mine, making the man smile at me.

"Well done, kiddo. That was the right thing for you to do, to call for help." I nod at him and say: "I was kind of going off of Grandpa Albus' portrayal in the latest chapter, the fact that he had left the ceremony to go look for Harry and how he helped him get away from Skeeter. I just felt you'd be able to do the same, so I told Hedwig to go get you." The man nods and says:
"And with the way that she was raising her wing up and down made me realize that it must have been you, the youngest of both groups, who got her here and that it had to do with Jeremy at the least, so I got Severus and Regulus before coming here. Guess I was right. Though, how exactly were they planning to get down there anyway?" I shrug and say:
"The same way Harry does it. They can merge with the stone walls here just as easily as he can merge with the shadows. As long as there is any kind of rock in that chamber, they would have been able to get in there." At this the man frowns and then he turns to us all as a whole and sternly says: "I will discuss this with all of your parents, but I need you to promise me this here and now. That information never leaves these groups."

"Why not?" The younger set of twins asks and mum answers: "Because basically everything in the Magical world is made of stone. If this leaks out, there might be people, like that prisoner, who will take people you care for hostage just to use those two to get into places they normally can't get into, like Hogwarts or Gringotts. Then we could either lose a lot of money – or lives."
This terrifies me and instantly we all chorus: "We'll never tell anyone, promise." The man nods at us and then sighs as he says: "Go lie down. I'll tell you a story of something your parents and I went through when we were your age. To calm your nerves and help you fall asleep." And we all happily and gratefully comply with the man's words, mum kissing Jeffrey and me on the forehead each before he starts to softly talk.

At the same time
At the Ministry
Sirius' POV

It hardly took Cornelius all that much effort to get Skeeter to come to his office and the woman was only slightly startled to see me sitting at a small side desk near the man's own desk. Yet before she could do more than put her hand into her bag, her eyes proving that she's not trying to reach for her wand, do I slam papers that Amelia helped me find on the desk, startling her.
"I wouldn't try that if I were you. Not unless you want to take my place in my old cell, that is." The woman whitens and I wonder if she, perhaps, knows what the papers are about, but then realize that she must fear Dementors just as much as everyone else. "You know, you're really lucky, Skeeter. Or at least, you were. About what, you may ask. About the fact that, thanks to a little magic from someone else, no one remembered this little law written here. You might want to read it."
And while the woman is obviously cautious, does her curiosity win out and does she slowly approach my desk, her eyes fixated on me as she tentatively reaches out for the papers. I just keep smirking at her and with my eyes indicate my wand lying on the side of the desk, where I laid it down before she came in. This calms the woman's nerves and she starts to read.

Her eyes widen slightly and a look of fear fleetingly crosses her face, proving she remembers the many Purebloods she has been slandering with her quill and I decide to strike. "Remember that magic I mentioned, Skeeter. It seems to have affected the minds of everyone in the Magical World – or at least Magical England. Turns out I'm not only innocent, but a father too. And not just to anyone, but to someone pretty, pretty damned famous.
And unless you want to feel the full brunt of my family against you – as well as the full brunt of both the Potter and the Black alliance – you will leave my son alone. That's right, Skeeter. Harry Potter is my son, mine and James'. That makes him a Pureblood and that grants him guaranteed protection against your little quill. And the same counts for various other families.
Allow me to catch you up. First of all, several young adults have traveled back in time from 1998 to help us in the struggles that they faced and will happen over the next four years. No, I will not give details, they don't matter at the moment. I don't care." I snap at the woman as she tries to argue with me and the woman takes a fearful step back. And while I feel relieved that no one at Hogwarts does that anymore, do I just ignore it and say:

"These kids have been revealed to be related to several powerful families as well as three couples I, until they came back, had no idea about. And yes, I do include myself and my mate, James Potter, in that. The other two couples are my brother, Regulus, who is indeed alive and Severus Snape as well as my best friends Remus Lupin and Lily Evans.
And before you even try –."I snap at the woman, who looks startled and quickly closes her mouth as I go on, feeling blessed beyond words that I am finally fully free of the MMB as all of my memories are back to what they were before the bastard cast his curse and I say: "Charlus Potter welcomed Lyal Lupin into the Potter alliance as a gift to Remus and Lily's bonding. And that grants Remus the same protection from your quill, as you'll be able to read right here."
And I tap the stack of papers again to emphasize my point. "The Weasleys are also Purebloods and while the last couple with kids might be Muggles, the Grangers, have I already learned more than enough about them – and more importantly about their sons, Joshua and Isaac – to know that you don't want to agonize them with your little toy. Because when their friends talk about them, I feel like they're talking about the Walburga Black you remember."

This obviously terrifies the woman and I lock my eyes with hers, using the full power of the Black Lordship that I have been able to flow through me ever since the spell fully broke on me and hiss three words at her: "Leave – us – alone." And while I don't shout or whisper it, is there no mistaking the fact that the woman got the message – and the warning – loud and clear.
I take a deep breath and say: "Minister, I will leave the rest to you. Thank you for allowing me this chance to make use of your office. I will see you tomorrow for the rest of the reading. If you'll excuse me, I do believe I hear your secretary coming." The man nods, his face proving he understands why I want to avoid the damned woman and I leave the office.

I use the floo to get back to Hogwarts, ending up in Minerva's office where the woman is calmly enjoying a cup of tea with various books spread around her as well as a lot of, what I recognize, student essays. This intrigues me and the woman mutters: "I'm studying ways to make sure that we have more than an Age Line when the Tournament announced. I believe the best way to keep a student away is to think like one." At which I nod, agreeing with her.
I then wish her a goodnight and head out, heading up to the seventh floor. And as I arrive, do I feel slightly confused to find Snape standing at the doorway to one of the portraits there. "This one is yours, Black. And I feel like I should thank you. Your boys kept mine from making a – forgive me for my old lingo – Gryffindor-kind of mistake." This intrigues me and he growls: "They wanted to use their Element to travel down to the prisoner, to take him out."
This horrifies me and I ask: "What happened?""Your boys stopped them. Kept them afloat above the floor and kept them from summoning slabs through which they would travel the same way your middle one can travel through shadows. Regulus already dealt with them, but I felt you deserved to know – and felt obliged to thank you. Your sons saved mine."
I nod at him and say: "I know you don't have many memories back, not like me, but you have nothing to thank me for. My kids just did what you and Reg did plenty of times for James and me back in the day. Trust me –." I say, tapping my temple as I say: "I know what I'm talking about. And I don't want to lose family either." And to my pleasure does this seem to spark a memory with the man, who smirks at me before he heads inside, me doing the same with the one he indicated earlier.

A little while ago
At the Hogs Head
Albus' POV

I have something for you, Aberforth. Something I – and you know I normally would never – must insist that you read." I tell my brother, putting the file on the bar between us and while the slightly younger old man grimaces at me does he put down the glass and cloth that he always uses when someone enters his bar, just to look busy, and take the file, muttering: "This better be worth my time, brother." At which I give him a solemn nod to prove that it will be.
The man takes the file and opens it on the same page Harry has done twice before now. "Our grandson's birth certificate. What's so special about this?" The man grumbles after reading only one line and I answer: "The last line on the document. And know that this file was created by Time Sand, brother, magically legit." The man looks at me with the same distrusting stare as he usually does before looking back down into the file.
And like I expected do his eyes widen almost out of their sockets as he reads the final line. And he makes me glad that my very presence made all of his other customers flee the bar, either out of respect or fear that I would either report or reprimand them as the man yells: "WHAT IN THE NAME OF ALL THE GOATS IN THE WORLD IS THIS CRAP!" And while I don't like it, do I repeat: "Created by Time Sand, Aberforth, magically legit."

"Albus, what? How?" The man whimpers and I answers: "The blood pact, Aberforth. It must have saved her." The man looks at me horrified and then whimpers: "Albus, I – I – I don't remember where we buried her. Why?" I sigh as I realized the same myself on the way here and I say: "I know and yet I don't. And that worries me, brother. It worries and confuses me.""WHY?" The man yells, obviously at the end of his wits now that he knows this.
"Because I know who is responsible for us getting headaches when we try to remember this. And that person is much, much too young to have been alive when she was hit. I doubt even his mother was alive at that point. So I truly, truly do not know how he could have found out about her. I can only imagine it was – through something like this." And we both look down at the file.

"I'll find her." Aberforth whispers after a while and I look up. "I saw those people enter your school, Albus. And word travels fast, especially between here and that school of yours. Everyone here in Hogsmeade already knows everything. About the Time travel, the two groups of teens, that blocking spell, Pettigrew, all of it. I know how busy you are."
The man then fells me with a furiously demanding stare, one that actually reminds me of father, and he hisses: "We both failed our parents, our brother and our sister, you failed our brother, nephew and his son. Do not even dare to fail your other grandkids. You have your chance, do not waste it. Do so – and I will find Arriana. Find her and keep her from you. And that's not a threat, Albus, it's a promise." I nod at him and say:
"If anyone can find her, it's you. just – just be – be careful. Pettigrew is incredibly smart. He is constantly able to think around obstacles on his path and escape even when you're confident that it's impossible for him to do so. He is able to cast magic in his Animagus form and the form is that of a common garden rat. If you run into him –." And while I have not spoken these words in many, many decades, do I say: "Kill him." And the man gives me a solemn nod.

Later that night
In Surrey
Pettigrew's POV
WARNING: MENTION OF DEATH!

The Squib's worthless body lies before me, dead and sucked dry of all life energy and the little bit of magic that she had, several of her Kneazle cats – some of which tried to eat me in my other form before I took them down – lying around her as I used their dead forms to power the ritual I used to take her magic – and through it her life. I then turn to my newest pawn and hiss:
"You'll have to contend with what little magic she had; she was only a worthless Squib, after all, hardly any magic at all in her. So don't think you're anywhere near the level of that Mudblood whore, because you're not. If anything, you're a quarter of the way where she was when she got her first letter. I just happen to know where her family lives – and they're all much stronger than her."
The woman nods but then asks: "Tell me again. Why are you doing this for me?" And while I am getting really sick of her asking this – as this is the seventh time – do I say: "You want those filthy Muggles to pay for taking your husband and son from you as much as I want to put an end to that filthy and stupid Potter line.
What better way than to use the one thing than to use the one thing they will never see coming; a Muggle turned witch." The woman smirks and then makes my day as she says: "Those fools send me everything Lily owned when she died. I'll make sure to study that when I have more magic. Where do we go from here?" To which I ask only one question as I am sure this will help us stay under the radar for longer: "Do you know how to drive?" And the answering nod makes me really smirk.

Holy MERLIN!
WHO SAW THAT COMING! So yeah, this chapter was pretty darn long, it covered several members of the Potter-Black-Dumbledore line – and Pettigrew, surprisingly. And what? Petunia is A WITCH? Look, I'm sure this ritual doesn't exist in canon, but neither does Time Sand, so anyone wanting to argue this, sorry, but this story is just not for you.
Next chapter: Harry wakes up, hears what happened in the previous chapter and what happened between his brothers and cousins. Dumbledore also comes clean about the last line of the file and we continue with the reading. And naturally, the title alone is going to cause a lot of concern to grow within the entire family and their friends.
Oh boy, more tension,
