Hey everyone,
So, this chapter is a perfect mix of several things. It's both a perfect mix of the Safe Haven and Grimmauld Place and also a perfect mix of my old version and the newly edited version. There were a few mistakes at the beginning that I was able to fix and a few things at the end of the chapter that I felt deserved some more content.
Hope you enjoy,

Chapter 28
Dangerous Teachers

29th of January 1996
Destiny's Haven
Jessica's POV

"I am really going to miss those two. Though I do hope Lady Destiny won't let them come and go as they please." I tell the others a few minutes after mum and Lea have left and Sora looks at me in confusion as he asks: "Why not?" I shrug at my brother and lean back into the couch as I say: "I hate saying goodbye, especially to mum seeing this is the first I've got to be with him since I was but a little infant." At which my brother nods.
I then look back at the still gorgeous white dress I'm wearing that dad managed to clean out with a couple of charms and say: "I'm going to go change.""Are you sure?" Riku asks and I nod as I say: "I want to wear something more – casual. I do love this dress, but I want to preserve it for later. Also I'm pretty sure the next couple of chapters aren't going to be easy, especially if I remember things right." This makes all three grimace, but they still nod.
"How about you get Harry's old uniform and I try and make it more feminine for you?" Dad then asks and instantly I squeal, loving the idea already, even if I know I won't be going back to Hogwarts as a student and I want to pull my wand, when I remember that it has been feeling odd and off ever since I first grabbed it earlier this morning.

Dad looks at me as he sees me act like this and then seems to get my problem. The man smiles at me and lies a hand on my own wand hand before pulling out his own. He then casts the spell himself and a set of cloths land on his lap, which he instantly enchants, turning the whole uniform into its female version before handing it to me.
I give the man a warm, grateful hug and then rush for the video room, closing the door behind me to make sure I have my privacy. Yet then I remember the problem I ran into earlier this morning and I grimace as the dress hid the fact that my breasts aren't covered by a bra much better than my uniform will. Then suddenly I spot one set appearing in the room.
"You'll have to let someone buy you more later, sweetie. And I'm sorry I didn't grant you a set earlier this morning." The voice of Lady Destiny sounds through the room and I sigh in grateful relief before putting on the bra. Yet while it takes me a few tries as the whole thing with the straps slightly confuses me, do I manage it and then put on the rest before leaving the room.

Yet when I reenter the reading room and twirl, does Riku ask: "Are you trying to make me glad Lea's not here?" And I ask: "What's wrong?" And he instantly says: "Your skirt! Are they supposed to be that short?" Yet I grab the trim and say: "It's not that short, some older teens actually purposely make them shorter than this."
"Yeah, but –." But before Riku can continue, does dad say: "This is my fault, Riku. I can only assume that, because Harry had James' wobbly knees and Jess doesn't, I misjudged the length a bit. Here let me fix it." And with a simple wave of his wand do I feel my skirt growing two inches at which I grumble: "It wasn't that short."
"I could see at least half your upper legs!" Riku shouts at which I shout back: "You're my brother's mate, you pervert." And at this dad and Sora burst out laughing before I huff and join the older man on his couch while Sora laughs as he pulls his boyfriend close and says: "You're overdoing it a little, my Road to Dawn."
Yet before Riku can retort to this, do I groan and say: "Let's just get back to the book, shall we?" And the others all nod as dad asks: "So, what do you think is going to happen next?" At which I think to myself and say: "Probably us finding Flamel and maybe Norbert." But before anyone can ask who Norbert is, do I start to read.

Nicolas Flamel

"Please tell me that you found out who he was in a safe manner." Dad instantly asks me and I smile at him as I say: "It happened inside the common room, though it was probably in the last way anyone could have ever guessed. Bar you perhaps, Sora. Nothing lethal, though, I promise." At which dad and Riku nod while sighing in relief and Sora smiles at me as he leans his body forward in intrigued excitement and I read on.

Dumbledore had … having nightmares.

This instantly makes dad hug me close and I say: "Dad, trust me, those nightmares are nothing compared to what I saw – well, over Christmas." Yet to this dad mutters: "I don't care, the fact that you have nightmares and no one to comfort you hurts and worries me." And I happily cuddle against his side as I whisper: "I haven't had one nightmare since I came here, not one." Making the man smile at me as I read on.

Over and … these dreams.

"And the reason Ron didn't tell his brothers about those nightmares?" Riku asks and I answer: "He didn't want to get me in trouble with Percy for being out after curfew." And Sora asks: "He really would have thought that more important than your nightmares?" And I sigh in pain before nodding and continuing the chapter.

Hermione, who … Flamel was.

"She didn't even care for the fact that you were seeing your parents or your nightmares? What the heck is wrong with that girl?" Sora asks shocked and I rub the back of my head in shame as I tell him: "I – I don't know why she didn't care for me seeing my parents, but I never told her of my nightmares." And Sora looks at me shocked at this as dad grumbles: "Damn your upraising." As I continue reading.

They had … Wood's side.

"You are so your mother." Dad groans and I cringe as normally I would have considered that a huge compliment, yet I already know that dad will feel even worse once he hears why I was on Wood's side and while I try to ignore the stab of longing at the fact that I haven't trained in the longest time, do I instead focus on reading.

If they … after training.

"Jessica, that is so unhealthy. You are basically exhausting yourself just to escape something you should be – good Merlin, I hate those blasted Muggles!" Dad screams in the end and then suddenly Sora asks: "Speaking of Merlin, want to learn some Keyblade magic?" And instantly I put the book down and say: "Heck yeah!"
And Riku and my dad both smile at me as Sora and I summon our Keyblades and then Sora laughs and says: "You know what? Seeing how much danger you've already landed yourself in, I'm going to teach you the two best defensive forms of Keyblade magic; the Wind magic and the Healing magic." And instantly I say:

"Bring it on." At this Sora smiles, his smile proving he is happy with the fact that I am willing to learn this kind of magic and then says: "Okay, for Wind magic, you need to focus on your body, specifically on the skin of your hands, neck and face and your cloths. Then take your Keyblade with both hands and give it a stab into the air as you shout either defend or wind. Both should cause for a small wind stream to appear."
This alone amazes me as I didn't think Keyblade magic could be based on such simplistic designs and I nod at my brother/teacher before doing as he instructs, grabbing my Keyblade, which Sora told me is called the Dive Wing with both hands and stabbing it into the air as I loudly state: "Wind!" And to my shock does the spell actually seem to succeed.
Two swirling rings of wind appear around me, yet they vanish after a few minutes, Sora actually casting a few of his own spells that get blocked and dissipate after hitting the wind shield and Sora exclaims: "Wow, it took me a whole trip from Traverse Town to Agrabah to even conjure any wind in the first place. Great job." At which my heart feels as if it just got enchanted with the spell and I ask: "What about the other spell?"

And Sora shrugs as he says: "Basically the same, just a different point of focus. Instead of your whole body, you just focus on the one point of your body that needs to be healed or your depleted energy and you have to say either heal or, as I sometimes do, this should help. Don't ask, for some reason that works too." At this I nod at him and then want to start practicing when Riku says: "Don't." And I look at him shocked at his ordering tone and he says:
"I know you want to focus on your scar while practicing that spell, but the magic that comes from your scar is much too powerful for a simple Cure to work. Remember that even when we cast the highest grade, the Curaga spell, it just caused you a lot of pain. I'd suggest you try this spell when we finish some practice fights." At this I nod, while turning red at how easily he read me and instead of that do I sit back down and start reading.

Then, during … their brooms.

Yet this shocks me and I say: "I forgot, this chapter has more Snape content." And instantly the voice of Lady Destiny says: "They have been made aware." And while part of me worries if they are still in their meeting, does Sora ask: "What does Snape have to do with Quidditch this time?" And I answer the boy by reading on.

"Will you … off Gryffindor!"

Lily's POV

It was a bit of a shock for many of those in the room when the voice of Lady Destiny had spoken and told us that another section was to be read, yet I had instantly taken these words to heart and I had accepted the set of papers that had appeared alongside the voice, paged through them to the proper point and read this bit.
"Hold on, excuse me?" Severus asks shocked and I sigh as I say: "This is what James and Lea were talking of earlier, Severus. Lady Destiny send James, Molly and me a whole set of papers that describe everything you have done throughout Harry's first year." And this makes the man whiten in shock before I continue reading.

George Weasley … on us."

"I do not need an excuse to pick on anyone." Severus says with a voice that actually reminds me of Lucius Malfoy instead of my old friend and I see him looking at James, but my brother just looks back in boredom and calmly tells him: "What? You have your opinion, I have mine and Lady Destiny has hers. So what?" Shocking my old friend as he had obviously tried to taunt my brother and I sigh in resignation as I read on.

Which was … for her.

"Considering that no one else ever takes down that –." Severus wants to snarl, but then James says: "Just grow up already." And Severus looks at him shocked as James isn't even looking at him and is instead going through a small magazine with – to my excitement – a gorgeous wedding dress shown on the front cover.
"Hey sis, what do you think of this? Will Siri like it?" And he shows me a page that has such a gorgeous gown on it, I mutter: "Why didn't I buy that one when we faked our wedding?" Making James laugh and say: "Okay, no then. If it fits you better, I should pick something else. No offense." At which I shake my head as James loving to cross-dress had always been something I loved about him being a Submissive mate to a Veela and I read on.

"Don't talk … Quidditch referee.

"Ehm, excuse me?" Severus sneers, yet I decide to shut him up for a little while longer so I can get through this section and while hiding my vehement anger with a sweet as candy tone of voice, do I ask: "Say Severus, whatever happened to the Danger Draught Ward?" And the man turns practically faint with fear as I read on.

"Don't play," … at all."

And here I stop as it seems that the next part isn't related to this and I say: "Seems we'll have to miss a small part; the next part seems to be about the upcoming match." At this everyone nods and while many of the Order start to talk, does James pull me a little closer and says: "Help me, I need to find perfection." Making me giggle before the two of us lose ourselves into the many incredible styles shown in the magazine.

Jessie's POV

"Does Angelina have a Reserve team?" Dad asks me, but I shake my head and say: "Ginny replaced me and two boys named Kirke and Sloper replaced the twins." Yet as I say this do I work my hardest to keep my ire out of my voice, only for Sora to ask: "What's wrong? You that upset about your ban?" And I sigh as I say:
"No. well, yes I am, but – I'm more irked with – with Angelina." This confuses my family and when they look at me, do I say: "It's the way she told me. It was at the last meeting my friends and I had before Christmas and she opened it with the words Well, we've finally replaced you." This shocks my family and I say:
"And then afterwards, she went on, told me how she had picked Ginny, picked up on my shock over that, mentioned that Ginny had nothing on me and then said but as we can't have you, while throwing me a dirty look to booth. As if I didn't hate being deprived from the one form of magic that actually helped me keep a clear head."
I groan in the end and then Dad asks: "How did you get banned anyway?" Yet this is the wrong thing to ask as instantly my anger at my former captain changes targets and get spiked by the resentment I feel for Umbridge, yet before I can do or say anything, do I hear a cold voice say: "Thunder." And all goes black before my eyes.

Riku's POV

"That girl has more issues than I did when I was growing sick of being stuck on the Islands or when I resented myself for giving into the Darkness." I think with great concern filling me from every angle and I mutter: "It might not have been Lady Destiny's greatest idea to take Lea out just yet." But Sirius shakes his head and says:
"I asked a dumb question. It should have been obvious to me that no one other than Umbridge would do something horrid like banning my baby from Quidditch. I know for a fact even Snape wouldn't do such a thing. I should have calmed her down, not continued questioning her." And I sigh, leaning her prone form against her father before I start to read.

At that … Gryffindor tower.

And instantly I give the book to Sora as the idea that my little brother has been bullied like that makes me feel the same anger I'm sure Jessica felt before I knocked her out by throwing that tiny bolt of lightning at her temple and my mate pulls me close, his comforting arm wrapped around my waist as he reads for me.

Everyone fell … counter curse.

"I sincerely doubt that that's anywhere close to the truth. There is no way Harry would laugh at such a thing. Not with how badly he was bullied in his own youth." Sirius growls and then Jessica shocks me as she says: "Didn't. Stopped Ron from laughing." And I see her sitting up, groaning as she does and asks: "What happened?" At which we all look at her concerned, me also feeling shocked that she woke up from me causing her to faint so fast and I say:
"You were giving into your darker emotions. Your anger was about to overwhelm you in its intensity, I could tell, so I used a bit of thunder to knock you out." And the girl sighs as she starts to worry her skirt between her hands and says: "I'm sorry, it seems my change of gender has made my temper become even more volatile than before." Yet none of us look at her as if we blame her and Sora hands her the book back.

Yet the girl sighs as she takes it and asks: "What am I supposed to do now? Even with us being stuck here for who knows how long, I will have to face Umbridge when I pick up my stuff to transfer to Campbrina and –." But then Sirius says: "And by that time you will have grown and become more in control of your person and temper. Don't forget, we're only on your first book and we also still have several of your brother's movies to get through."
At which the girl looks at her father in concerned disbelief, yet Sirius smiles at her and says: "Jess, I have known you for years and I know that, if you put your mind to it, there really is nothing you can't do. Trust me, when the time comes you'll be just fine." And my sweet little sister by bond, who has obviously been hiding so much of her own doubts behind a mask of confidence and courage smiles in gratitude before she starts to read.

Neville's legs … that on."

"Please tell me this is being read by that table full of people from before." I snarl, the idea that some blonde little prat thinks he can use my baby brother for target practice making me feel the same fury as before and Jess sighs as she says: "I doubt it, no Snape, remember." And I snarl at this as I listen to her reading.

"Go to … it easier."

"He did not just say that to my little brother!" I snarl and Jessica sighs as she says: "Riku, I love Ron the same way I love you and Sora, but you should know one thing about him. He has the emotional range of a teaspoon, trust me." At which I sigh, my anger finally lessening as it gets replaced with resignation and Jess reads on.

"There's no … stinking Slytherin."

"And now it's a good thing this part isn't for them to read. I doubt Snape would have taken kindly to that." Sora says with a slight shiver, yet I roll my eyes and say: "If he's so against that reputation, he needs to stop giving others reason to keep believing in it." And both father and son nod in agreement with me as Jessica reads on.

Neville's lips … Wizard card.

And even before the girl can continue, do I groan and say: "I know I always say that Sora pulls off miracles like there's nothing to it, but COME ON! That is just ridiculous!" At which Jess turns red and Sora and Sirius prove their father and son as the two get wide eyed before they chortle to hold back their laughter as Jess reads on.

"Dumbledore again," … Nicolas Flamel'!"

"Wait, Alchemy?" Sora suddenly asks, all traces of humor having left his visage and yet it's Sirius that I am focused on as the man turns thoughtful for a short second before his eyes widen, proving he has forgotten what he realized at the end of the Quidditch chapter and with a tumultuous volume in his voice does the man shout: "ALBUS PERCIVAL WULFRIC BRIAN DUMBLEDORE, HAVE YOU ACTUALLY LOST IT?"
And we all yelp in shock as the man says: "I'm sorry, I can't read this. I know what that blasted treasure is and – and – and the fact that – that it's – that is was inside – that it was inside the school –." And with another yell to convey his absolute rage does the man stalk out of the reading room and does he slam the door behind him.
We all look at the closed door shocked and Sora asks: "Was it really that bad?" And I see Jessica turn a little bit red as she says: "Well, ehm, it was a pretty valuable treasure and – well, it really was quite sought after too and –." And I finish for her: "And it should have never been inside a school." At which the girl nods before she says: "All thanks to that damned reputation of Hogwarts being safe." And he sneers the last word before she reads on.

Hermione jumped … she'd expected.

And when Jess looks up, do Sora and I both shrug and shake our heads and the girl sighs as she says: "Thank Merlin." At which I ask: "Hermione made you feel stupid for not knowing about it?" And the girl shrugs as she says: "It's one of her lesser character traits." And while I really feel for my sister by blood, does Jessica read on.

"The what?" … and fifty-eight).

"That sounds like the kind of thing Maleficent would want to get her hands on. Great Kingdom Hearts, your dad was right to get angry. No one who can be considered to be in their right mind would think it a good idea to hide that in a location filled with so many potential victims." I tell the Black siblings and Jess nods as she reads on.

"See?" said … want it."

"To be honest, when I read that, the only thing I could think of was whether or not that Elixir could bring back the dead as well. I won't deny it, I was strongly tempted to try and get it for myself just to see if it worked. Sure am glad I never did though." Jess says, rubbing the back of her neck with one hand and then a voice says:
"That makes me really proud of you, sweetie." And we look behind her to where we see Sirius standing, the man looking a lot calmer and he sighs as he says: "You actually resisted the urge to get your Heart's desire become a reality. That makes you a really strong person." And his daughter smiles at him before she reads on.

"And no … coming match.

Lily's POV

Quite a lot of conversation has sprung up since I stopped reading and a few of those around me have come to ask what we have read so far, yet out of respect for Severus had I kept my answers short and simple: "We've only read about Severus and his interactions with Jessica when she was still Harry, nothing more."
And after the first few all getting the same answer, did the questions stop all together and yet, Severus didn't notice this as he was still faint from realizing that I was aware of what he has done to the Danger Draught Ward and I have no doubt he is planning to find a way to put the ward back up at earliest convenience.
"That he was willing to hurt and endanger even his own House just to make things harder for the House of his former rival just proves that he really is still the same Severus I said goodbye to that one night after he tried talking to me outside the Gryffindor common room." At this I sigh and then notice the text shining.
"Sirius and the others have caught up." I say and while some Order members, a few who were new and weren't too close with the Old Crowd as well as Minerva in order to throw Umbridge off their trail, have left, did Albus also manage to provide her with an excuse for Severus to remain without alerting Umbridge and everyone turns to me as I pick up the papers and start to read.

"I'm going … biased referee?

This makes many of those around us look at Severus and the man seems to have finally been drawn from his concerned thoughts as he sneers and says: "It's not as if I have a choice." But then James says: "Depends, do the Lions bully the Snakes before or after you show your biased behavior?" And Severus keeps quiet as I read on.

Harry didn't … his own.

Here Severus scoffs and says: "And there we have it, evidence of Potter's actual –." But I interrupt him and say: "Concern over a teacher who seems to have judged him before they got to know him. Sounds like James when he first spoke of those wanting to be Slytherins." And the man looks at me shocked as I read on.

Potions lessons … Sorcerer's Stone?

"I had my suspicions, but I didn't think they knew of it. I just believed they were as foolhardy as his father – I'm sorry, I mean her parents – and thought they had tried fighting that blasted mutt on the third floor. I had no idea they had already stuck their noses in that deep." Severus growls and I shake my head at his slight as I read on.

Harry didn't … read minds.

Yet here I instantly stop and turn to Severus, knowing better than anyone that Severus started practicing this art when he was only fourteen and I hiss: "You better not have tried that, Severus Tobias Snape, not on my son and not on my niece." And the man looks at me shocked as he asks: "You actually think I would?"
And I coldly answer: "Seeing how blind you are in believing that Jess is nothing more than her parents – or should I say, your childhood bullies – reincarnated, can you give me a reason not to believe it?" And the man looks at me shocked, yet the fact that he doesn't even come up with an excuse hurts me more than I show as I read on.

Harry knew, … Leg-Locker Curse.

"HAVE THOSE TWO NITWITS LOST IT?" Severus screams and I ask: "That depends, have you given them reason to consider you a threat? Does your reputation perhaps scare them into taking extreme measures? Have they experienced anything that makes them fear you when it comes to their friend playing Quidditch?"
And the man gapes at me as I say: "We read Harry's first Quidditch match, Severus – and YES, we know you were casting the counter curse, but we also read your first Potions class to them and that would make anyone distrust you. You, Severus Tobias Snape, are your own worst enemy." And with that do I read on.

They'd gotten … hurt Harry.

"Ehm excuse me?" Severus asks confused and to my shock, I see extra text appearing along with a note and I say: "This is something that happened between this and last part. It takes place just after practice it seems." And while Severus seems shocked that he gets the chance to learn about this, do I decide to read.

At that … that on."

This actually shocks Severus greatly and I see James frown as he says: "Sounds like something I used to do." And I see Severus turning green as he must realize the same and then James asks: "Is that kid still like that?" But Severus seems too thrown off balance by the discovery to answer my brother and Albus coughs as he says: "Young Draco – does have his moments." I roll my eyes at the man, spotting his attempt to sweet talk this problem and just decide to read on.

"Go to … stinking Slytherin."

And this seems to help Severus regain himself, but before he can do anything, do I say: "Severus, don't. You and I both know that is a traditional House thing and you can't tell me that that wasn't tame compared to what you, James and the others often said about each other's Houses." And the man grumbles as he asks:
"I can't complain about your niece insulting my House?" At which I shrug and say: "You can disagree, but complaining about such a tame insult; that'd be a bit hypocritical. It would be better to just work hard at Hogwarts and prove her wrong instead." And the man sighs as he gives me right silently before I read on, noticing how Albus is smiling at me in pride as if he is happy with the fact that I am giving the man a chance like this.

Neville's lips … Wizard card.

"Was that last bit really necessary?" One of the newer members who hadn't left asks and I answer: "I can only imagine that it's meant as an ending to this part of the story, though I do wonder why a chocolate card could be so relevant." Yet only Albus seems to have the answer to this as he smiles serenely as I read on.

"Now, don't … "Don't nag."

"She does that all the time, blasted little know-it-all." Severus grumbles and I stare at him shocked as I say: "Wow, now I feel insulted." And the man stares at me shocked as I say: "What? I see my twelve year old self in this girl, is all." And while Severus seems unable to grasp this concept, making me feel for him, do I read on.

Back in… to watch!"

This instantly makes me look up at him and, remembering what we read of the first Quidditch match, can I not help but ask: "If you were planning to attend and warn the attacker not to try anything, why didn't you tell Severus this? That made his desire to see Harry safe quite unnecessary, don't you think?" But the man answers:
"I did it so that, when Harry realized that Severus wasn't the Dark Wizard he believed him to be, he would appreciate Severus' efforts to protect him a little more." Yet at this I share a grimace at James as I just know that Severus' heroic actions probably don't hold up against his bullying of my niece and with that do I read on.

Harry's heart … was Malfoy.

And again Severus looks up shocked as he asks: "What does Draco do in the Gryffindor stand? He has no business there whatsoever." Yet this makes me share another grimace with James as the boy again reminds me of my brother when he was still his teenage, irresponsible self and while I really start to feel for my friend do I read on.

"Oh, sorry, … at him.

"George Weasley, you better –." Molly wants to start, but then Arthur asks: "Severus, what do you want in return for forgiving my son for this direct attack?" And both Severus and Molly look at him shocked before he says: "An essay on the importance of a referee during school games." And Arthur nods and says: "It will be on your desk the class after next. Let my sons know that I demand it of them." My old friend nods back as I read on.

Hermione, who … no brains."

And while Severus had grumbled about the no reason part, does he look shocked at hearing what his Snake has said and James sighs as he says: "Sounds like my excuse for picking on you when we were younger. Good grief, since when is there a mini-Snake me at Hogwarts?" And while this makes Severus turn green, do I read on.

Neville went … he stammered.

And this seems to shock Severus as well before he hums and says: "Didn't think Longbottom had it in him to stand up to anyone. He sure never does in my class." Yet at this I say: "That might be because you are his teacher and not a bully of his own age?" And the man grimaces at this as he hums thoughtfully before I read on.

Malfoy, Crabbe, … saying something."

"Oh, come on. Even I never insulted two Houses in one sentence – and even I had more sense than to insult two families who were Allianced and together able to make life difficult for my own House. Why is Malfoy this arrogant?" And at this Severus sighs before he says: "Because he doesn't know of your daughter's heritage."
And this calm answer shocks James before he says: "Still, surely he doesn't think that Sirius, even when pretending to be godfather, would pick him as Heir to his Line over his own Godchild? Surely he's smart enough to realize that Siri made Harry his Heir in his will?" And Severus groans as an answer before I read on.

Ron's nerves … more word –"

"Ronald Weasley, don't you dare stoop to his level!" Molly snaps, but then notices everyone looking at her as if she's grown an extra head and then Severus says: "Even I can see the difference between bullying and standing up for a friend." Shocking the woman and making me smile at my old friend before I read on.

"Ron!" said … a bullet.

"Dives really are his specialty." Remus says and James smiles as he says: "I sure wonder if Jess will experience any difficulties adjusting her new form on a broom." And everyone seems intrigued with this, but then Albus says: "I sincerely doubt the difficulties will take too long to overcome." At which I want to smile, yet I am still not entirely sure if the man is 100% on board with Harry changing into Jessica, which worries me as I read on.

"You're in … said Malfoy.

And this makes Severus groan before he shocks us all and says: "I suddenly start to wonder whether or not this whole thing repeated itself back during Potter's last Quidditch match. If so, Draco bloody well deserved that beating Potter gave him." And instantly James asks: "Jess beat Malfoy up?" And Severus nods as I ask:
"What for?" And Severus shrugs as he says: "All he would tell me was that he was voicing his displeasure over having lost and his opinion on Potter's life and backstory." And instantly I groan as I say: "In other words, he probably insulted Harry's friends and, if I know him, me and Harry lashed out in retribution."
"You think Draco would insult you?" Severus asks horrified and I answer: "Severus, as far as someone like a Malfoy believes, I am nothing more than a Mudblood whore who deserves to grovel at their feet and pleasure them whenever they order me to, nothing more. And then they would probably further insult me while I'm doing so and expect me to just swallow and accept it all." And while Severus looks at me horrified, do I read on.

Ron snapped. … and Goyle.

"How could she possibly not notice that?" Molly asks in concern and I ask: "Would you notice the twins brawling if you saw Ron play Quidditch?" And the woman hesitates before she sighs and shakes her head before she smiles and says: "That girl is such a good friend." At which James and I nod at her before I continue reading.

Up in … his hand.

"Wait, how long did that match last?" James suddenly asks and Albus smiles as he says: "Your child broke your record with one minute and twenty seconds." At which James probably would have started cheering like mad in pride, had it not been for how we both heard Albus emphasize the words your child and I sigh, now knowing that the man is still trying to get his mind wrapped around the change and its effects on the prophesy as I read on.

The stands … busy... excellent..."

"YOU SERIOUSLY JUST DID THAT?" James furiously shouts and he goes on: "That mirror must have been at least one or two months ago. Why on earth did you think Harry would still dwell on that thing? Why did you have to bring it up again?" Yet Albus seems not to have an answer to my brother, or at least not one he is willing to indulge in here as I notice his eyes fleeting over some of the newer members, making me sigh and read on.

Snape spat … any more.

And this seems to shock Severus more than anything we have read so far and he asks: "Wait, did you read that right?" At which I nod and he asks: "Can I?" And while I sigh at his stubbornness, do I let him read the sentence himself before I take the book and while the man seems to have trouble contemplating this, do I read on.

The evening … of Snape...

And this shocks Severus out of his contemplation and he groans as he says: "I was so sure every blasted Lion was in their hole celebrating their victory. Ugh, that brat is going to follow me, isn't he?" At which I ask: "Is that really such a bad thing?" And yet the man keeps silent, making me worry as I continue reading.

A hooded … going on?

"I was hoping to ensure that the events of Halloween and the brat's first match wouldn't repeat themselves; not give him incentive to break Hogwarts rules." Severus groans in irritation and I ask: "This is not going to be the point where Harry realizes that you're on his side, is it?" And my friend groans as he says: "It is possible, but – the chance is more likely that murphy is against both of us in this one." I nod at him and then read on.

Harry jumped … He followed.

"Harry James Potter, just because –." Molly wants to start, but James interrupts him and says: "First of, I'd like to remind you that it was Harry Sven, not James." Yet before he can continue, does Severus ask: "You didn't name the brat after you?" And James shakes his head, which seems to startle Severus as he says: "No, I wanted to give Sirius a reminder that Harry – and now Jess – is and stays his." And I read on, still proud of the name I chose.
"That reminds me, didn't you say you chose the name, Lily?" Molly then asks me and I nod before the woman makes me sigh as she asks: "Then – doesn't it hurt that Jess chose a –." To which I interrupt her and say: "Jess probably doesn't even know about the mistake in second name and I'd like to remind you of what James explained earlier.
Jess is old enough to make such decisions for herself, from what I've heard so far you haven't raised her either, which proves you don't really deserve a saying in such a decision in the first place and neither do James and I at the current moment as we just haven't spent enough time with her yet. Her name is fine, no further arguments." And I swiftly read on.

The trees … the leaves.

"Aren't beech tree branches extremely brittle? How on earth did they manage to hold an eleven year old boy?" Tonks asks and Kingsley groans as he says: "The only way they could is if the eleven year old didn't have the weight that is supposed to come with someone his age. And seeing what I remember of Harry when I met him –."
Here the man stops with concern filling his voice and then James asks: "Who is Dudley anyway? I heard Jess mention his name when she was still Harry, but I didn't think to ask who he was." And Arthur answers: "He is – or so we believed – Harry's cousin from Lily's side, Petunia's son." And instantly we both whiten and I ask:
"What was Harry doing there?" And Albus answers: "Because I believed you to have sacrificed yourself, I thought it best to have Harry stay with your sister as blood wards –." But then I ask: "Albus, for Merlin's sake, did you honestly forget the day I returned home after graduation? What Petunia did that day?"

And the man seems to have indeed forgotten as he sends me a blank look of confusion and I snap: "She called the police on me! Told them I was a freakish stalker and tried having me arrested when I wanted to collect my possessions. I lost half of the inheritance mum left me thanks to that woman; she forced me to leave it all behind. How on earth did you forget that? It was you and Minerva who found me after that bloody happened!"
This shocks the man and I cuddle close against James as this day still hurts even after years of mental therapy as I say: "Albus, I denounced myself an Evans that night, I magically embraced the Potter name that night. No Blood wards would ever hold anywhere near Petunia as I denounced to have any relation with her.
And you should have remembered that, because you were one of the two witnesses, alongside Alice, who helped me and supported me through this. How on earth could you have forgotten that?" Yet the man seems to have no answer other than lowering his head in shame for having forgotten all of this and Kingsley says: "And now Potter's weight makes all the more sense." Before James takes the book from me and hands it to him, making him read on.

Below, in … there, too.

"Isn't that the guy who left at the end of my baby's first year? The guy who had actually been cursing Harry's broom in his first match?" I ask, feeling concerned for my friend and Severus and Albus nods before I ask: "Did he try anything?" But while Severus sends me a grateful smile, does he shake his head and I ask Kingsley to hand me the book. The man seems to share a quick look with James before he does so and I smile at them both before I read on.

Harry couldn't … I mean."

"You're intimidating him to keep him from doing worse than that curse he threw at my son's broom." James mutters and Severus seems shocked that James is onto him instead of accusing him and I think: "Hopefully this reading will help my old friend accept that my brother has grown up." And with that hope in my heart taking away the pain I once again felt over remembering that dreadful night where I lost so much, do I read on.

An owl … I'm waiting."

At this Severus groans and I ask: "That sentence would have proven that Harry was wrong about you?" And the man nods as he says: "This explains why Hagrid kept warning me about those three. Good Merlin, I seriously should have listened." And while James and I share a smile at hearing about the Half-giant, do I then read on, part of me wondering why the man was warning Severus instead of the man he so looks up to and admires.

"B-but I … showing Slytherin!

"I'm sorry, I thought this was a Gryffindor-Hufflepuff match." James asks confused and Severus sighs as he says: "There is always that blasted rivalry, if you remember. Also the final score of the match we just read about made them in the lead for the Quidditch Cup.""Did they win it?" James asks excited, but Severus shakes his head and says: "There were – complications." And this kills James' excitement as I read on, worried.

Everyone's waiting … said Ron.

This makes Severus send the book a proud smirk and I ask: "You do realize that intimidation factor can have negative effects in a class like yours, right?" At which he sneers at me, but I say: "There's nothing wrong with being strict, Severus, Potions making requires that, but there is a difference between strict and intimidating.
And even then there's a difference between good intimidation – like Minerva – and bad intimidation – like Alastor. It's a teacher's job to know the difference. And yes, Severus, I know what I'm talking about. I took lessons to be a teacher a year after we left, got my diploma a year later and have been teaching since. I also have a NEWT student who hates how strict I can be, but he did make a very special kind of potion for his examination."
By now I have the man's interest as well as several others looking at me in respect for how quickly I managed to get my profession going and I turn to Remus and hand him the potion I showed Molly and Albus earlier and say: "Here you go, Remy. If you take this potion ten minutes before dinner every night for a fortnight, you will be able to touch all kinds of silverware right after." And the man happily takes the flacon.

Severus looks at this shocked and then Albus asks: "Lily, do you –." But I already know what he is planning to ask and ask: "Severus, will Voldemort have any interest in a potion like that?" But the man shakes his head and says: "Unless it helps werewolves hold silver swords, he'll consider it completely irrelevant."
At which I say: "We haven't managed to test that yet, but I think that can just as well mean that the potion potentially doesn't give werewolves that advantage, so – do we really need to bore the Dark Lord with that?" And Severus smirks at me as he says: "I don't have a death wish, Lily." At which I wink, loving the fact that, slowly but surely, my presence seems to bring my old friend back out of the sour man and smile back.

Hey everyone,
Why didn't I turn Snape into more of a jerk when it came to this chapter? Two reasons. One, it was mostly Lily talking logic to him and he is still loyal to her – or at least he has plans for her that require him to make it look as if he is. Two, even a person like Snape should be able to acknowledge it when a reputation goes south.
He knows his reputation and treatment of Harry is what made the boy suspect him in the first place and he knows that Harry learned the truth in the end, so he doesn't feel like putting effort into it. Same with the essay. It's tame, because, while he really wants Slytherin to win the Cup, Quidditch itself isn't important to him.
Next chapter, we're going back to Jessie, Sora, Riku and Sirius and while I feel a little stupid that I couldn't keep to my word of keeping it to the Dimension characters, did I feel as if this part was just quite simply needed and I can easily summarize how the Dimension characters felt about the match and Harry following Snape later.
I guess I could have changed the last bit – with Ron and Hermione – back to Jessica and the others' POV, but I didn't want to make too many changes and it still does concern the man. And besides, Snape wouldn't have made so many "changes" if I had ended his bit there, so I decided to just keep going and leave Jess for the next chapter.
Okay, see ya'll,
