Hey everyone,
The title will already indicate this, but this chapter is going to be focused on one thing and one thing only; Lily, Angelina and Jessica spending time together and having fun being girls. So expect subjects like clothes, make-up, boys – practically everything that girls, especially girls in their teens just love to spend time gossiping and laughing about.
Well, the "typical" girl,
Venquine1990
PS. I am a girl myself, so no, I do not mean this to demean my own gender or insult it, just pointing out how, a few decades ago, people saw female characters in media, that's all.
PPS. I know this story takes place in 1996, but for the sake of the story – and some of the worlds in the KH franchise – just pretend that all Disney films up to this point have already been released in some way. I need it for this chapter.
Chapter 43
Girl Time
30th of January 1996
Destiny's Haven
Lily's POV
Ever since I first laid eyes on her the other day in Grimmauld, have I been wanting to see my new niece up close and personal, to share in the honor that was already bestowed to my brother and his destined mate and actually share a space with the girl. To do so, for some reason, feels similar to the day she was born as Harry years ago.
"That is probably because Harry, now that she's Jessica, has been reborn a new person. Voldemort no longer has a reason to go after her, seeing how the prophesy refers to a boy and not a girl and if I have to go by what I've been told, our clones dying is the whole reason Harry was even interested in fighting Voldemort in the first place.
Now that she knows it was our clones and has us back in her life and doing all this to make her life better, I'm pretty sure she has no more reason to be part of this war. She can really focus on being herself instead of being the warrior and hero everyone has been seeing in her all these years. And I can't wait to help her with this."
These thoughts go through my mind as Lea, James, Angelina and I are now waiting for Jess, Sora and the others to be done with the movie that they are apparently watching, depicting Sora's life and his first grand journey into the universe he was sent to all those years ago. "They sure are taking their sweet time." James groans.
I smile at him as patience has never really been the man's strongest point, especially when it comes to spending time with his loved ones, but Lea says: "Sora's first adventure was riddled with a lot of Heartless battles and if I know my Firefly, she probably worries herself sick every time he goes into battle, no matter how well he's prepared."
I nod at this as we managed to spend some time with Jess' old friends and from them learned that Harry had always been someone who easily worries for his friends and I doubt that character trait changed or disappeared when Harry became Jessica. Yet it also worries me as I'm sure this movie is but one of many and I ask: "Is there a way we can help her with this? I mean, it will only make the rest of the movie harder on her, won't it?"
Lea nods and says: "I do have an idea, but I'm not 100% certain of it. You see, I used to be on opposite sides of the spectrum when it comes to Light and Darkness. Heck, it was Sora who brought me back to the Light in the first place, along with a few others that I still care for, but won't mention for the time being."
"You think if Jess sees you and Sora fight the way you did when you were his enemy, it might make Jess feel better, because it will show her exactly how accomplished her brother really is. That might just work." Angelina says, shrugging, yet we don't get a chance to discuss it as suddenly a bright light consumes us all.
"That timing can't be a coincidence, let me tell you." James laughs and we all land on our feet, even though we had all been seated in a special set of rooms given to us by McGonagall after James' speech in the Great Hall when we were taken. I look around and spot a large empty, yet stylishly decorated room that has a lot of Gryffindor themes here and there in the little furniture it has and that has large double doors in the side wall.
There are also four doors in the front and back wall, two on each respectively and yet it's the double doors that catch my eye as they open to reveal the three men and the only girl in the group. And while I have already seen her three times now, once in regular clothes, once in her bridesmaid's dress and once on a photo, does she still take my breath away.
The girl is wearing a hot red dress that has a halter neckline and is kneelength with black sandals with ankle straps underneath and has her hair up in what used to be an elegant bun, but that has obviously been undone a little by her worrying over her brother on his journey. Yet it doesn't change the fact that she looks utterly gorgeous.
"I have never seen a more gorgeous Firefly in my entire existence." Lea mutters and I notice that he has a look of utter awed adoration on his face as he sees the girl, who turns red, but is also beaming in joy at seeing us all. And when her eyes land on me, does it take only another minute before I suddenly have the young girl in my arms.
This makes me tear up as this is something I haven't been able to do since she was only a toddler and I lovingly pull her close, wanting to call her my little girl, but knowing that she's not really. But then Jessica shocks me and makes my heart burst with glee as she says: "James birthed me, but you helped raise me. You are as much my mum as he is."
Instantly I look at James, but the man smiles and nods in agreement at this. I release a few tears and finally whimper it: "My sweet little girl." Making Jessica hold me a little bit tighter to prove how happy she is to hear me call her that. After a few minutes I let go off her and smile widely at her as I hold her at arms length and say:
"You have to show us your room. Angelina, your mum and I have been shopping to our heart's content and we bought you all kinds of stuff. Also, Lea told me about some of the worlds he visited and – it gave me a very special little idea that I think you are going to love." The girl looks greatly intrigued and Lea says:
"Why don't you lovely girls go and have some girl time and finally get your long-awaited chance to reunite after all these years while I have a talk with Sora. I have a few things that I feel I need to address with him. Don't worry, Firefly, nothing painful or dangerous, just a talk between friends. Got it memorized?"
Jessica nods, moving over to give her mother a strong and warm hug and Lea a loving peck on the cheek before she and her friend guide me to the right and to the door on the left of the back wall. We go up the staircase and enter a room that is obviously proving one thing. Harry once slept here, but now Jessica is making it her own room. And the vanity table that is against the left wall is the biggest bit of evidence of this.
"Isn't it amazing? I loved it the minute I saw it." Jessica says as she sees me looking at it. I smile at her and ask: "So I guess this is something you would like to have in your room at James' home, huh?" The girl nods and says: "Not just there, but at London too. Headquarters of the Order. That's just a bit of a problem, because – well, I'm sharing with Ron."
"You mean, you were sharing with Ron. I don't think either Sora or Lea is going to let that go on after you come back.""Maybe not, but I don't think I'd want to share with Ginny either. No offense to her, but she screams a little too much, plus I want her to get to know, well me, before I feel comfortable with sharing a room with her.
We – have a past." At this I turn to Angelina and the girl answers: "Ginny used to have a crush on the Boy-Who-Lived, which was Jessica's title when she was still Harry and it made her really shy around him, to the point she could barely share a room with him without doing something to embarrass herself, the Great Hall not included.
That, and Harry saved Ginny from –." But then Jess says: "Not yet, Ang, that's part of the next book and my brother, Riku, dad and I will probably start on that sometime tomorrow." This confuses Angelina, but I say: "There have been instances where the Order and I read parts of the first book, so she doesn't want you spoiling the 2nd for me."
The slightly older girl nods and Jessica asks: "So, what was this idea of yours?" I grin widely at her and she says: "Whatever it is, I already love it.""I have only one question for you; what is your favorite Disney princess?" I ask and instantly the girl's eyes widen and she looks at me as if she's never seen me before.
"You – you didn't – did you?" She squeals and I hold up the bags that I took with me from the tailor that I quickly went to that works in Paris, France, who is a Half-Blood and who has a Muggle father who always takes her to Disney Land Paris every year. "The tailor I visited is an expert in Disney cosplay, especially for females."
I tell my niece and the girl squeals before she asks: "Do you have Mulan's dress from when she fought Shan Yu? That was my favorite from the whole movie." And while I can easily understand why my little girl would emulate with a woman who just couldn't conform to what society wanted of her, but still became a hero, do I say:
"I actually got both that one and the one she wore to the Matchmaker. What makes you like that one so much?""The coloring, really. It was gorgeous and flattering, but not too girly. Plus, she was able to move a lot better in that one than in the pink one." At which I nod as I remember seeing pictures of Mulan in a fighting stance.
I pull the dress out and Angelina looks impressed while Jessica squeals. And while I know that the girl has only changed her gender a few days ago, am I still amazed at how quickly she's adapting. She takes it from me and rushes for the bathroom. This confuses me and I wonder: "Why would she not change in front of us?" "Harry never did that either. He always changed in the stalls." Angelina answers and this really concerns me about the girl.
Yet when Jessica comes out, wearing the gorgeous dress that has a white bodice and underskirt, sky-blue sleeves a dark blue over-shirt and skirt and a red trim and belt, I forget my concerns as the girl looks utterly amazing. "We should not let her go back outside. Lea would eat her alive, she looks that good." Angelina mutters amazed.
"I can only imagine how good you'd look in the other cloths we got for you, dearie." I happily squeal and this seems to spark a memory with the girl as she turns to Angelina. Angelina nods and says: "Yep, I got you several sets for any kind of cloths. Skin-toned, white, frilly, not frilly – and even a few nice and sexy ones."
Which makes me giggle as that had been what Lady Destiny warned me about and I say: "I really had to hold her back on that one, Jessica. Had to make her see that, just by wearing the right bra, you could look sexy anyway, just based on your own amazing cloths." Angelina turns to me at this and says: "Speaking of which."
I smile at her and tell Jessica: "I promised her I would show her an example when I had her buy you a sky blue strapless bra set." And Jessica smiles as she asks: "You got Jasmine's cloths, didn't you? Merlin's beard Angelina, and you think Lea shouldn't see me in these cloths. None of you would see me again if he saw me in that."
The girl looks shocked and intrigued and Jessica turns to me. I happily smile at her and pull out the smaller bag that I decided to put this set in, just to make sure that her male companions wouldn't accidentally find it. Yet again Jessica goes into the bathroom and while I feel like addressing this, do I let it go until another time, feeling this is just another thing, like the name, that I can't have a say in until I have spent more time with the girl.
And when Jessica comes back out, does her appearance make Angelina's mouth drop. Wearing the gorgeous blue outfit that Jasmine wore in the first Aladdin movie both shows off that Jess has suffered at my sister's hand, yet her whole form and physique also shows how hard she has been working to move past this.
And while her hourglass figure now looks even better, her waist even thinner and her legs even longer, does the girl seem to have brushed her hair to cover her whole back and shoulders, which worries me once again. "Holy mother of Merlin! I don't mean this to hurt, insult or scar you, girl, but you just turned into every pervert's wet dream."
This makes Jessica and I share a laugh and I just know that we are thinking the same as we burst out laughing. "What? What did I say?" Angelina asks and Jessica answers: "This is the outfit of the female protagonist of a movie that is mostly seen by kids – younger than Hogwarts age." Making the girl's mouth drop a second time.
"You – you're kidding!?" The girl exclaims and the two of us shake our heads as I say: "There is actually one other movie that has a protagonist in an outfit – not much better than this one when it comes to decency. Pocahontas." And while Jessica had looked at me in intrigue, does she now slap herself on the head and say:
"Let's just focus on the other Disney Princesses. The ones that love wearing long, flowy nightgowns. I'd like to pick one I can go and wear downstairs without having Lea want to ravish me in front of my parents, thank you." Angelina and I share a look at this and I giggle as Angelina says: "Jess, that's an impossible mission, let me tell you."
"Yeah sweetie, that guy has the hots for you, no matter what you wear. You have him wrapped around your little finger and have him as yours for life." Jessica sighs and says: "I know – and I love it. And you know what, I just thought of something. Let's give that hot set of red fiery muscles downstairs something to look forward to.
A taste of his upcoming future, courtesy of my daddy's brilliance." Instantly I realize what she's up to and think: "That girl is one sweet little minx. God, I love her for it. That's my girl." And I happily ask: "Which Princess are you thinking, sweetie?" Jessica shrugs and says: "The one who needed three movies to get married." Making me laugh as she twirls on her axis for further emphasis and Angelina whispers: "I really need to meet with Katie sometime soon."
I then pull exactly that wedding dress out of the bag, having decided while shopping that Jessica deserves to truly feel the full extend of her being betrothed to Lea if she wants to and this time Jessica actually stays in the room, Angelina and I happily helping her into the gorgeous white dress with golden accents here and there.
We then head downstairs and while Jess gasps in shock at actually seeing Sora and Lea fighting each other, both with a Keyblade in hand, do Angelina and I share a look before I blow my fingers, whistling to get their attention. "Nice plan, Lea. Here's your reward." Angelina smirks and both fighters drop their weapons at seeing us, the weapons vanishing into nothing as they fall onto the floor at their feet.
"Uhm, why is my little girl in a wedding dress?""Because she's betrothed." I answer James as Sirius says: "We are not marrying her to Lea already." But I retort: "No, but she does deserve to experience what it's like to be betrothed. Plus, I read up on Ancient customes during our time preparing for the fake wedding between me and James and it's not uncommon for a bride to wear her dress before the wedding, as you well know."
Sirius shrugs in acceptance at this and I smirk at him as I say: "Besides, if I was planning to convince you to marry her off right here and now, I'd have let her come down fully dressed the part; veil and everything. This was just to give Lea a taste of what his future will be like, nothing more. And for your information, Sirius Black, it was her idea, not mine."
And this seems to be the trigger for Lea as not two seconds later he has Jessica in a searing kiss, the heat of his love almost equal to the power of his strongest element and the passion he puts into the kiss proving that he really, truly has fallen head over heels and then some for the girl who is now butter in his hands.
Jessica melts into the kiss and Lea's embrace, holding onto him in such a way that, if not for her white dress and his black robe, it'd be almost impossible to see where she ends and he begins. Nevertheless I can only think of Yin and Yang, perfect in balance with each other, as I look at the two and the others all come to stand with me as we watch.
"I – I don't think I've ever seen two people better fitted for each other." Riku mutters as he has a strong arm wrapped around Sora and Sora nods into his form as he says: "Yeah, and their cloths and forms really prove it too. Jess' cloths represents the purity of Lea's love for her yet her form proves it's still in a fragile state.
While Lea's cloths represent the darkness that Jess had to go through to get to him and his form represents the strength he will use to keep her with him, keep her safe." Riku and Sirius look at the boy quizzically and Angelina says: "I said it before and I'll say it again. You are the perfect older brother for Jessica."
By now the kiss has ended and the way that the two now hold each other actually further amplifies Sora's earlier words. Lea is cascading around Jessica, who is seeking shelter in the warmth that is coming off of his form. I almost tear up at the sight, feeling touched by how pure and strong their love feels as if it radiates off of the two.
Sora then slowly raises a camera that he seems to have pulled out of nowhere and he pushes a few buttons before taking a picture, shockingly enough without causing a flash to distract the two. "Good, they deserve their moment together." Sora mutters and I whisper at him: "I want a copy." At which my little nephew nods.
Sirius then gasps and we turn back to Lea and Jessica. And my own eyes widen as an aura starts to glow off of Jessica, one that looks a mix between a fox and a lioness. The two then actually separate, the lioness staying with Jessica and the fox moving to Lea's back before it actually merges into him, the lioness merging back into Jessica.
"That – that – that – that is extremely rare. It – it – it has only been recorded within my family records four times in 600 years." James whispers and Riku whispers: "What happened?" And Sirius whispers: "Lea – he – he became part of Jessica's Kitsune. The powers of the Kitsune, they accepted Lea as Jessica's mate. Usually it's only the nature of the Kitsune, for the powers to do so as well is seriously a rare sight to behold."
I notice Sora and Riku share a glance and Sora whispers: "Our universe is known for connecting hearts. That magic must be what helped make this happen." Riku nods and I whisper: "It must be because Jess is wearing the dress that was originally designed for a person from your world. The dress must have been recognized by the magic of your world."
"Do we really care?" Sora then asks, his arms wrapped behind his head and he asks: "I mean, look at them. Does it really matter how it happened?" But just looking at the two, who are so obviously just oblivious to anything but each other, do I know that the boy is right. Nothing really matters, at least not as much as seeing my little niece this happy.
Now that was just sooooooooooooo sweet,
So I will say that, when I first decided on the break, I was actually planning to bring in a few other characters, both from the HP and the KH universe, but I felt that this chapter needed to happen first, even if the chapter itself is not as long as it might or could have been. Though those characters'll come in next chapter and I DO have plans for them. And finally I want you all to know that I LOVED this chapter.
It gave Lily, Angelina and Jessica a real chance to be girls, gave Angelina her chance to see that sexy doesn't always need to mean indecent or barely dressed, gave Lily a chance to reunite with her long-lost niece, gave me a chance to make fun of Disney a bit in regards to its character design and gave me a chance to really develop Lily's character. And to be honest, that's what makes me feel best about this chapter.
Anyway, like I said, next chapter we'll see many more characters. I plan to get the rest of the Chasers, the team that, if not for this, would have gone into the DoM to save Sirius and finally Mickey, Donald and Goofy. And there are four characters that I have plans for when it comes to that chapter; Ron, Jessica, Neville and Riku.
Let's have fun,
