Hey everyone,
I'm going to be honest with you, the way I ended last chapter left me a little lost on how to restart this story. However, this is because I love to feel as if the chapters fluidly flow into each other, which often makes it so that I write dozens of chapters and only cover a few weeks to a month – this story being a prime example.
However, while I asked you last chapter whether this chapter should get back to reading the book or head onto the Dursley trials, did only two of you answer my question. V.L. Crawford and Guest reviewing Chapter 31, thank you for your answers. Just a shame you both wanted the opposite thing of the other, hihi.

Anyway, have fun,

Chapter 32
Pain, Betrayal And Danger

13th of August 1995
Ward Arena, Potter Place
Kairi's POV

"I'm sorry, but we're going to have to cut today's reading short, everyone. Kingsley, Tonks, Arthur and I need to head for the Ministry as soon as possible, not just to finally bring justice to those blasted Muggles, but so I can teach Percival the lessons he deserves." James tells us as we are all at the breakfast table and Harry asks:
"Are you going to be okay? With Fudge knowing that you're alive, don't you think there's a chance that people like Malfoy will be there as well?" And I smile at the boy, wondering how he can be so calm when he just tries to convey how terrified he is of the idea of losing his mother so soon after getting him back in his life.
"Don't worry, Harry, I'll take a Family Port Key with me and I'll call on Even in case necessary. Besides, Lucius has to keep with the ruse his master wants to keep up – which I am surprised is still being held seeing the Queen and all – so he won't be able to do much, if anything. At most we'll probably clash vocally, no more."

Harry nods, but I can tell that he's not entirely reassured and I spot Lea and Sirius sending James a reassuring look that silently says: "We'll distract him, don't worry." Before the rest of us return to our breakfast and after that back to the arena where we will read. Yet as we arrive, do I say: "I think it's time another one joins us."
And this confuses the three new guests, but excites everyone else and I look at James, who nods and then at Even who had gone to talk with Hermione the other day, but who had come out of her room looking as if he was about to turn back into his Nobody self and who had retreated back to his room for the rest of the day.
Both men nod, the look in Even's eyes proving that he is more annoyed with Hermione than anyone else and I close my eyes, part of me really not wanting to know what could have happened to make Even so averse to someone who is so like him. "Master, I hate saying this, but Harry lost a studious friend and needs a new one."
"Very well, explain me more later." I hear the wise voice of my tutor and I nod before the space next to the Ward Stone lights up the same way it always does when someone arrives. And from the light a young adult woman with long brown hair and hazel eyes quite like James' appears, wearing a gorgeous pink dress.

"Belle, was Beast actually okay with you coming?" Sora asks and she shrugs as she says: "He was, as long as he could come with. He was a little hesitant at first, because of his appearance, but the Master showed him copies of the pictures Kairi took and when he heard that it concerned your brother, he felt honor bound to help."
This makes Sora smile, but then he crosses his arms and asks: "So, what about the rose? Were you guys too late? Is everyone still an object?" But the woman shakes her head and says: "Everyone bar Beast is back to normal. He did transform, but – I couldn't picture him like that. I was too used to him being who – what – he was.
Then we went to bed one night and the next morning, I was woken by a familiar, yet horribly heart-breaking roar coming from his room. I rushed there, saw him back in his old form and hating it, but set him straight and told him I loved him more the way he looked as a Beast than as human. He couldn't really understand, but he accepted it."
This makes Sora smile and he says: "Well, I think it's better too. In that form he can offer better protection, after all. And just imagine how those bastards that want to hurt my brother will feel when they get lunged at by someone looking like him. They'll be screaming for the hills for sure." And the two of them laugh at this.

AN: I Know that in the end credits of Kingdom Hearts 2, The Beast actually transforms into Adam, which is the prince's original name, but I never liked that, so I decided to use my artistic license and made it so that the love Belle had for Beast changed him back the way she liked him. Don't like it? sorry, not changing it.

"So, the Master told me you were reading of Harry's future. Can I read next?" The young woman asks and Sora nods before he says: "Sure, but first let me introduce you. Everyone, this is Belle. Belle, this is my brother, Harry, my dad, Sirius, my actual mother who was kidnapped, James, you know Lea and these are Fred and George.
They're Harry's mate by Veela nature just like Lea. Also mum and dad are also mates by dad's Veela nature and I have my own mate. You know, the boy I kept looking for over and over." And while Riku sends his mate a fake angry glare, does Belle laugh and say: "Nice to meet you." And after the other introductions, does she get the book.
"So, anything I need to know about?" Belle asks and Harry says: "I'm under several spells that keep me from reporting an abusive teacher, dad is under the influences of someone who is just like Pettigrew, Pettigrew being the reason my mum was kidnapped and lost his sister on the same night. And that's just the worst of it all."
Belle looks at him shocked and Harry says: "Oh, and the bonds between me and the twins isn't in the book either, because – for some reason – my Veela nature never got activated in the other timeline." At this the young woman nods and I can tell that she really wants to find out why this is before she focuses on the new chapter.

The Hogwarts High Inquisitor

This makes all of the adults of this world turn dark and Moody growls: "That just can't be a good sign." And Mrs. Longbottom leans forward as she says: "I think I will go too when James and the others leave. I'll study this and I'll discuss the pros and cons of this with the Alliance." At this James nods and Belle reads on.

They had … HIGH INQUISITOR

And this makes all the adults that had turned dark before grimace and makes a few of them pinch the bridge of their noses as James mutters: "Translation Fudge will force changes through only if he knows they will smite Dumbledore. Good grief Albus, you can't let this happen." Yet when the man wants to object, James snarls:
"NO Albus! The students cannot fall victim to this battle between you and Fudge. I get that you're both leaders, but this is your fight, do not make it theirs." At this Albus turns thoughtful and then Ron asks: "Sir, do you really think that people like Collin, Dennis or even Susan and Hannah can handle a battle like this?
With the weapons that Umbridge is using and the potential that this new position will allow her?" And this seems to be exactly what Dumbledore needs to hear before Harry says: "You have more students to care for, sir, than just my friends and me." And while guilt is clear on his face, does the man nod before Belle reads on.

"Umbridge – Inquisitor … and Wizardry.

"Wow, they're bolder than I thought. I didn't think they would admit it was for control so blatantly." Lea mutters, but then Even says: "They don't need to hide this. The focus is placed too much on Umbridge for the common folk to notice this." And his friend grimaces as he realizes that the blonde is right before Belle reads on.

"'The Minister … immediate success –'"

"Alastor, a copy of that, if you will." James growls and Moody nods, but then Belle says: "Wait, the article doesn't end there. Wait until it finishes and then copy what you need." At this the former Auror puts his wand back, while James grimaces, already expecting more lies and crap and Belle's reading goes on to prove him right.

"She's been … at Hogwarts.'

"Translation, she's making a vital class useless and is nothing more than a spy." James growls, but then he sighs and says: "Augusta, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have to ask you to come with me again when I teach Percival his well-deserved lesson." The elder woman looks intrigued, especially at how defeated James sounds as he says:
"Percival is not going to take me seriously. He's going to think that I am just trying to mollycoddle – sorry, Arthur – my son, so I probably won't be able to make much headway. That is why I will need you with me. Harry and Neville aren't friends as far as Percival knows, it will work in our favor." The woman nods and Belle reads on.

"It is … has accepted.'

Here Madam Longbottom sighs and says: "I hate to say this, but an inquisitor will be necessary." Yet before anyone can voice their shock or displeasure, does she say: "Not Umbridge. Heavens knows that she is too involved in this fight between Albus and Fudge for that. No, Hogwarts needs an inquisitor that is completely unbiased.
One who doesn't see Albus for the end all be all, but also someone who isn't dependent on their job at the Ministry to get manipulated to do what Fudge wants. But who?" At this many look thoughtful and then Harry shocks us as he asks: "What about you yourself?" Everyone looks at the boy shocked and he shrugs as he says:

"I know you've been seen with mum a few times and that the public is now aware of Sora and Riku being bonded, but surely your own reputation and skill will make it so you can dismiss anyone like Skeeter. Not to mention, you could say you're not doing this for either Fudge or Dumbledore, but for the good of your line."
This makes everyone look at the boy shocked and he shrugs: "Sure, there will be people who will say Oh, you're just doing this because your grandson is bonded to Harry Potter's brother. But is that really such a bad thing? Is that really the wrong kind of motivation?" At this all the adults look at each other and then Even says:
"The kid sure has some good points there. The only downsides Lady Longbottom really has are the Alliance, which doesn't need to be her responsibility once James takes over and the bonding between Sora and Riku. But if enough people see how happy those two are, that argument will instantly become irrelevant to the crowds."

At this everyone nods and then Hermione says: "And Molly is gone, so I still have perfect control over Rita, I can make sure she writes only the right kind of stories." But then Ron shakes his head and says: "You can't do that, it will just send the wrong image.""What are you talking about? We're trying to save image!"
Hermione snarls and Ron retorts: "And having a reporter like Skeeter write only stories of sunshine and rainbows about Sora and Riku will not help with that. We don't need Skeeter to write continuously positive stories, we need her writing neutral stories. Not too damaging, not too uplifting. Otherwise it will bite us in the butt."
This makes Hermione look at Ron shocked, obviously having not expected such an intelligent retort from her best friend and I send Belle a silent look as I whisper: "And that's why I asked the master to send you." At this Belle nods, while she looks at the other intelligent girl with a worried look before she goes back to her book.

"The Ministry's … at Hogwarts.

"Why do I feel that these are only the same people that Percival spoke to when he mentioned them in his letter in the last chapter?" Harry asks, while Ron growls in anger at the mention of the letter and Lea answers: "Because Percival is the kind of person who only hears what he wants to hear and nothing more."
At this Harry nods and then Ronald asks: "Why are you still calling him that? Why aren't you –?" And then Sora asks: "Calling him by a last name that he no longer deserves, because he is just not worthy of being part of that family?" And Ron looks contemplative before he smiles and says: "Good point, thanks." And Belle reads on, smiling.

'I feel … 'Mad–Eye' Moody.

"Well, at least one of those three is true." Moody smirks as he leans his staff on a seat that is slightly below him and Hermione wants to object, but Moody says: "I tricked them into believing that, lady. It's an accomplishment of mine and one I'm proud of. Plus, it didn't happen without reason or consequence, got that?"
The girl looks shocked and then Albus says: "I never truly thanked you for that, old pal." But this makes Moody laugh and asks: "Never truly thanked me? Albus, for crying out loud, you got me my staff, my job at the Auror force, sponsored my run to Head Auror and you keep supplying me whenever my madness hits me."
By now everyone is looking between the two in shock and then Albus sighs as he says: "And yet, it just doesn't feel enough." To which Moody rolls his good eye and he says: "It never does to you, regardless of the fact that I keep reminding you that it's fine and to just leave it. Honestly." And at this the twins chorus:
"So what happened?" But both men turn dark and grim and Moody says: "Sorry lads, but even Sirius, with his years in Azkaban and James with his years caught by that woman, don't have enough experience for me to feel ready to tell either of them. It would scar even them." This makes the twins shiver and Belle reads on.

"Rumors abound … to Hogwarts.

At this Harry turns to Madam Longbottom in concern, but the woman shakes her head and says: "Neither of these two are members of the Alliance, nor are they under financial duress. They've suffered alongside the others, but not as bad as other Light families." And Harry nods, looking relieved as Belle reads on.

"'Hogwarts is … page seventeen.)"

At this some of the adults slap a hand to their foreheads and Belle asks: "Don't you guys live in England? When did England fall under such a Communistic Leader?" At this Madam Longbottom sighs and says: "That unfortunately happened when one forgot the difference between arrogance and well-earned pride." At which Belle reads on.

Hermione finished … hit her."

Yet the adults don't seem to share this enthusiasm and Moody growls: "That's nothing to cheer about. If anything, she's going to come down harder on McGonagall, just because she sees herself in the woman. She believes that Minerva is to Albus what she is to Fudge." And this makes my friends grimace as Belle reads on.

"Well, come … the examination."

"It would, if you had done your job as a teacher right." Moody smirks and Albus sighs as he says: "Alastor, not this again. Severus –." But then Alastor says: "Albus, Potions is the most volatile class at Hogwarts and this lot has never received a single Preparation class in their lives. They didn't even know that was a thing."
This makes Albus look at the teens around me in shock and they all nod as Bill says: "I did hear quite a few Third years complain about it when I started my first year as they had felt annoyed that they had it several times the year previous, but weren't explained why it was skipped this year. They even got detention for asking why."

This seems to turn Albus contemplative and Alastor says: "Face it, Albus. Severus is so confident that you will back him up no matter what, he's willing to endanger students, just because he feels he can." And while Albus wants to object, does James say: "Forget it, Albus. I know how we can solve this." And we all turn to him.
"While you, I myself and the others leave for our appointments, I want Even skimming through the book. When we get back, I want him to tell me if he has found any other chapters that describe Potions classes. And before said chapter, we will get Horace here. He is Severus' Predecessor, so he will be the best option for a judge."
Yet Dumbledore still seems hesitant, but then Riku stalks over to him and asks: "Tell me, is your spy really worth more to you than the health and education of all these students? Is he?" And the cold tone he says it seems to shock the truth out of the ancient man, making Dumbledore look down in guilt as Belle reads on.

Snape reached … information private.

"I only want to help." Hermione snidely tells my best friend's brother, but then Belle looks up and says: "No one wants help from someone who forces it onto them." And Hermione looks shocked and I can tell that she knows who Belle is as her eyes had widened in recognition upon Belle's arrival. Yet Belle just ignores her and reads on.

Determined not … got, ask."

"Thank you!" The twins and Neville chorus and Hermione glares at them, but then Neville says: "Don't bother, you were being pushy and it was obvious to anyone with eyes that this was a topic neither of your friends wanted to touch upon. You should have respected that." And while the girl keeps glaring, does Belle read on.

"I don't … now on.

This makes Hermione smile in a very strange manner, but then Even asks: "And I'm right to assume that you having to do something like that with your parents is your motivation to work hard from now on, isn't it Harry?" And while Harry nods ferociously, does Hermione send the man a strangely betrayed look as Belle reads on.

"You lot … Quidditch practices."

At this the twins share a look and then turn to Dumbledore as one of them says: "Professor, could you please do us a favor?" And when the man nods, does the other say: "Don't give Angelina the Captaincy. She's not properly qualified.""Why do you believe that, Mr. Weasley?" Dumbledore asks and the first twin says:
"Back in our fifth, Angelina finished every training with a visit to the Hospital Wing, just so she could study for our OWLS." This intrigues the man and the other twin says: "She's not able to handle the responsibility of Captaincy and passing her NEWTS at the same time.""She just doesn't see Quidditch or flying as just a hobby."
At this the man hums and then he asks: "Who would you pick then?" And the twins chorus yet again: "Harry." This makes the man send them a knowing smile, but then one of them says: "I, Frederick Weasley, swear that my belief in Harry as a Captain is based on his skill and character, not my feelings. So I swear, so mote it be."
And the other twin makes a similar oath, to the amazement of the Headmaster and then Fred says: "Harry loves flying; it relaxes him." And George says: "And with everything going on, he really needs something to calm down.""He's perfect for Captaincy." And the man says: "I'll consider it." At which they nod before Belle reads on.

But Harry … recent dream.

Yet here I stop the slightly older woman with a stretched out arm and ask: "Is something wrong?" As Dumbledore looks stricken with guilt and the man sighs as he says: "It's just – the way that Sybil is acting in the book is – it's confirmation of what James and I found out about her during that unexpected break last chapter."
This makes everyone look at each other and Harry mutters: "It's her guilt, isn't it?" And when we look at her, he says: "Trelawney is acting like someone who has been pushed into a corner. She knows Professor Dumbledore can't do anything about whatever Umbridge puts in her report and it frightens her, because she knows.
She knows that, whatever it is that Moody, Hercules and mum found out in that break, was wrong and that, if Umbridge digs deep enough, she can find out and use it to not just give Trelawney a bad report, but also discredit Dumbledore in the process. And she knows that, if that happens, she'll lose Dumbledore all together."
At this Riku and the Headmaster nod and Riku says: "It's just that simple. She's terrified of Umbridge for what her report could cause, but she's also terrified of Dumbledore in the book finding out what the Headmaster here knows. She knows she's screwed either way and that frightens her." And at this Belle reads on in concern.

Harry opened … sixteen years."

And instantly the twins, Harry, Ron, Hermione and my friends are on high alert and Lea growls: "That is slightly longer than Harry is old, but slightly shorter than Sora. Does that mean that she got hired when James was pregnant of Harry?" And Dumbledore, looking uncomfortable, nods, but doesn't elaborate as Belle reads on.

"Quite a … still smiling.

Yet here Madam Longbottom chortles and Belle asks: "She's joking, right? Surely she realizes that such a request is utterly ludicrous?" But then Riku growls: "She doesn't care." And we all turn to him as he says: "She can do whatever she wants as long as it helps Fudge. She doesn't care." And this makes Belle read on grimacing.

Professor Trelawney … finished dramatically.

This makes the group grimace and Luna says: "It would have been better if she started with that. It's true that she has that ability, but the timing was just horribly off. She won't be believed now and it will just work in Umbridge's favor." And even those I know who don't like Trelawney nod depressively as Belle reads on.

There was … towards her.

At this Ron sighs and he says: "And now she decides on a potentially successful strategy. Again, too little too late.""What on earth are you on about?" Hermione asks and Ron rolls his eyes as he says: "Trelawney knows that Umbridge targets Harry. Doing so herself is an attempt to earn better points. It was to save face."
This makes Hermione look at him shocked and she asks: "And you approve of it?" But Ron glares at her and says: "I don't need to approve or disapprove of someone's strategy to recognize it, Hermione." Yet while the girl should feel guilty for doubting her friend, does she just huff in arrogance and Belle sighs as she reads on.

All the … air again.

"I really hope you will realize how futile this is soon, Hermione. Just saying." Neville sighs and Hermione wants to retort, but he says: "No, in Umbridge's eyes, you have too much working against you for her to ever take you seriously. You're Muggleborn and you're Harry's friend.""HOW IS THAT A BAD THING?"
The girl screams, but then Neville stands up, the apathy gone and a furious rage having overcome him as he shouts back: "IT'S A BAD THING IN THE EYES OF THE ENEMY! IN THE EYES OF UMBRIDGE! ISN'T KNOW THY ENEMY A MUGGLE SAYING? HOW CAN YOU NOT REALIZE THIS?"
The girl looks shocked that the boy who has been firm, but timid and quiet for most of the reading is suddenly screaming like that and Neville huffs before he says: "And I would appreciate it if you stop doubting your friends every time we try to help you." Making her wince and actually send him a betrayed glare as Belle reads on.

Professor Umbridge … Hermione continued.

And here all of the adults that work at the Ministry as well as Madam Longbottom and Dumbledore groan and the last of them says: "Mss. Granger, Dolores is not the kind of person that will listen to the opinions of those beneath her. And that is wrong, but it is also the truth. And trying to change someone like her – is a pointless effort."
And unlike every other time that someone pointed out both her faults and countered her potential arguments does the girl look contemplative and thoughtful instead of stubborn and angered and this makes me look at Sora and Riku in concern, before we all look at Belle, the young woman giving us a slight nod before she reads on.

Professor Umbridge's … used defensively."

"Okay, that was almost perfect." Tonks mutters and Hermione asks: "What do you mean, almost?""If you had said efficiently or effectively instead of defensively, you would have forced Umbridge into asking you to give her an example. Yes, Hermione, one change of word can change an entire conversation or even situation."
The girl looks shocked and Kingsley says: "The best way to deal with Umbridge in this case is to do what she does. She is using your pride in your intelligence and Harry's determination to tell the truth. You should use her belief in the Ministry. After all, if there is nothing out there, what do Tonks and I have our jobs for?"
This makes Hermione look at him shocked and the bald man smirks at her as he says: "Like I said, the way you use words and what words you use can change everything. And if you know that your enemy's tactic works, you might as well try to throw it back in his or her face. Success is and stays success, after all."
At this Hermione turns contemplative, but then Riku says: "That's not always true, however." And Kingsley sends him an understanding look before he says: "No, it's not. But in this case, it very much is. As different in character as Harry and Umbridge are, they both have pride and that is a weakness to both of them."
At this Harry grimaces, but then James says: "However, pride is never only a bad thing, is it Kingsley?" And the other man smiles as he says: "I would never claim it to be, James. As without it, we wouldn't have great families like yours, mine and the Longbottoms." And this makes everyone smile and Belle read on contently.

"Oh, you … Ministry inspection –"

"HA! THAT'S A LIE!" Tonks suddenly shouts and we all turn to her as she says: "Before all this crap, the DMLE was actually involved with Dumbledore in hiring DADA teachers and Quirrell only barely passed the criteria after he came back from Albania. In fact, it was Lockhart who passed all of the criteria right away."
This shocks the group and Tonks asks: "We are going to use all this to keep Umbridge away from the kids, right?" To which Sora asks: "What else are we reading the books for?" Making the younger Auror cheer as her older partner copies the part of the story that was just read. And while the others smile at this, does Belle read on.

"Yeah, Quirrell … his head."

"Why didn't you just use the fact that you left every class with a headache? Or that it was the one class most people were most afraid of that they would fail their tests?" Neville asks and Harry sighs as he says: "Probably because I was more focused on her wanting to discredit me about Voldemort." And Neville nods as Harry sighs and says:
"Looks like I need to learn that lesson of what to say, when to say it and how to say it as well." At which Sirius smiles and says: "If you want, Harry, I can give you a few lessons while James is dealing with Umbridge.""And I can show you the memory of that meeting later today to help you understand the concept better."
James smiles at his son and then he turns to my friends and says: "However, I do want you to have these lessons as well, Sora. You're probably just like your brother and have your pride and mouth run ahead of your mind. These lessons can and will help you with that." Sora nods, but then Riku looks at his grandmother, who says:

"No Riku, I don't believe you will need these lessons." And this makes the grandson look at his grandmother confused before she says: "I don't believe it, because you are already a very calm and well-collected individual. So far, I have only seen you slip up once or twice, but not enough to believe you need to learn this."
This makes Riku smile at his grandmother and then Harry turns to Neville and ask: "Is that why so many of the Purebloods don't always speak up? Because they think it's not their time?" But Neville shrugs and says: "It's probably more that they didn't know what words would help." And Harry nods as Belle reads on.
"And besides, we're forgetting one very important fact here." One of the twins then interrupts the young woman and we all turn to them as the other says: "Harry acted on pride, an emotion that is constantly brought to the forefront – by the Heartstamp spell." This shocks a lot of us and we all nod at them as Belle reads on.

This pronouncement … staff table.

"And that's exactly what we meant." The twins chorus, their usual pleasantness now gone and the both of them looking serious. And while it seems to shock Hermione to see them like this, does one of them say: "No questions, no chance to have him give her an explanation." And the other says: "Just instant judgement, caused by stress."
The two then turn to Dumbledore and one of them says: "Not to mention, Angelina knows just fine how much Harry hates public attention.""But her stress makes her ignore that, just because she's annoyed at him.""She's not a proper Captain." And Dumbledore seems to fully agree with the two of them as Belle reads on.

"Miss Johnson … from Gryffindor!"

"That's against the Charter!" James shouts and he goes on: "A teacher – even a Head of House – can't punish a student for receiving additional or repeated punishment if said teacher doesn't know the entire story. Albus!" And the Headmaster nods, silently promising he will discuss this with the woman before Belle reads on.

"But – what … team captaincy!"

"Albus, I'm sorry, but I'm going to have the Board of Governors put that woman on probation. No! Not as a teacher, but as a Head of House. She is too judgmental, does not care enough for her students to hear them out and is letting the wrong people walk all over both her and those she is responsible for. I cannot accept that."
Madam Longbottom says and Albus asks: "Is that future High-Inquisitor –." But then the woman snarls: "That is the grandmother of a current lion, another future lion and grandmother in law of the same talking. No one else." And while Dumbledore looks shocked at the snarl, does he nod in understanding as Belle reads on.

Professor McGonagall … said nothing.

And instantly everyone turns to the girl, looks of shock, anger and disgust showing on everyone's faces, but the girl glares at them all as she says: "Professor McGonagall –." But then Luna says: "Even Dumbledore thinks she was in the wrong." And this actually makes the girl look at the man, who nods to prove this as truth.
The girl looks shocked and then Mr. Weasley says: "Hermione, agreeing with someone who is in the wrong – because you know she is basing her judgement on an incomplete story – is wrong in and of itself. You're agreeing with authority – who is in the wrong. And that is going to cost you friends." Which really shocks the girl.
And then the twins seem to have had enough with the girl as one of them snarls: "You have been with Harry much longer than either of us." And the other goes on: "And yet we are more supportive of him, knowing now more than ever he needs that support, than you are.""And for what?" They ask her in chorus, yet she has no answer.
And while the way that she is looking around, as if hoping someone will actually either support her or give her the answer, does Even then say: "This is the same as last night, young lady. Remember my words. Only you can give them this answer. We can't do that for you." And while this makes the girl tear up, does Belle read on.

"You think … of speech.

"Hermione, may I say something?" Ariel asks and the girl, obviously at the edge of her nerves, snarls: "Are you going to judge me too?" And while this makes some of those around her roll their eyes, does Ariel keep her voice gentle as she says: "No, I just want to give you an example." And the girl nods, though quite reluctantly.
"You know I am of the sea, that I was born a mermaid and a princess. If you were part of my court, but someone higher than you, like Grimsby who was Erik's caretaker and confidant, would tell me that we should build a wall separating the ocean from the land because of Ursula. Would you expect Erik agree with him as well?"
The girl looks shocked and says: "Of – of course not! He – he should side with you! He should contact your father! He should –." And Erik says: "I should support the person of who I know has the most information in regards to this topic, right?" And Hermione seems speechless, while others smile at the two and Erik says:
"And this situation here is no different. Yes, Minerva is someone higher in power, but Harry is the one who is being hurt, just like Ariel would be the one being hurt if I were to agree with someone like that. even if Grimsby has known me longer and better, Ariel knows the sea better, so I should support her, not him. Do you understand?"

And the girl nods before Ariel smiles at the girl as she says: "And yes Hermione, I do understand – or at least I think I do – why you want to support McGonagall. You know Umbridge will have her suffer as badly as Harry and that works on your loyalty. You just let your loyalty run away with you to the wrong person at the wrong time."
This makes the girl grimace and Erik says: "Yes, McGonagall will probably suffer under Umbridge, but there is one thing you are forgetting. As much as she is suffering, she is doing nothing only giving wrong advice at the wrong time, to lessen Harry's suffering. Therefore, Harry needs your support. Not your advice, your support."
Yet this, again, seems to be the wrong thing to say as it doesn't seem that Hermione understand the difference between advice and support. Yet the girl seems too confused about the idea that this is indeed true to speak up and while she seems to lose herself in her contemplation of this, do the rest of us listen to Belle read.

Harry did … quite evaporated.

At this Hermione wants to round on Harry, but he is instantly encased by the twins and one of them says: "Don't bother." And the other says: "It hasn't been Harry pointing out your flaws even once this reading." And they chorus: "Don't put on him the bone you have to pick with us." And the girl reels back as if slapped as Belle reads on.

Professor Umbridge … Professor Grubbly-Plank.

"I really don't like saying this, but I am so glad that it's Grubbly-Plank who is teaching." Tonks mutters and instantly, which we expected thanks to a bit of a few chapters ago, Harry snarls: "Why?" To which the Auror calmly answers: "Because Umbridge would eat Hagrid alive." And the boy grimaces as his father slaps him and says:
"You could have guessed that one, young man. You owe Tonks an apology." Yet I easily spot him turning a strong, but fleeting look Hermione's way, as if silently trying to teach her something and Harry seems to prove himself the better person in his father's eyes as he mumbles an apology, to which Tonks nods as Belle reads.

"You do … happy indeed."

And instantly the atmosphere turns greatly exhilarated as Tonks giggles: "Ha, she walked right in on that one. She expected Grubbly-Plank to – as she said – be an objective outsider that would side with the Ministry, but boy, did she get that one blow up in her face. Ow, that felt so good." And many agree as Belle reads on.

Looking politely … Harry angrily.

Yet here Sirius sighs and says: "Harry, Harry, Harry, Harry. There was your chance. Your chance to humiliate her the way she has been humiliating House Potter this entire time. How could you miss it?" Yet Harry seems not to get what his dad's talking about and asks: "What do you mean? What chance? What humiliation?"
And the man sighs as he says: "Oh, to be that green in politics. How I envy you, kid. Think of it this way. Who was there when Buckbeak was supposed to be executed?" And instantly Harry seems to catch on, yet before he can do more than open his mouth, does Hermione shock me as she raises her voice over his and shouts:

"FUDGE! Fudge was there! He was there that day! And Umbridge! Umbridge is his Undersecretary! Why are you glaring at me?" She suddenly asks and Sirius growls: "Because I was asking my son a question and you purposely raised your voice to interrupt him. Because you purposely stole his glory and his answer."
Shocking the girl and she stutters: "I – I didn't – I'd never – I wouldn't –?" But Sirius seems not to care as he asks: "Did or did you not shout that first word with the need to be heard over Harry and shut him up so you can answer for him?" And the girl turns red before she lowers her head as she mutters: "Not – not intentionally."
At which he sighs and says: "No, instinctively. And that's worse." Making the girl look down before Sirius turns to Ariel and ask: "You think, if the chance ever came where Jamie or I would need to be somewhere and the other needs to spend time with Harry, that you two could take Hermione under your wing?"

Yet to this Hermione turns white with terror and asks: "Are – are you – are you trying to – no. You can't! YOU CAN'T TAKE HIM FROM ME! YOU CAN'T TAKE ME MY FRIEND!" And she screams this in the end, tears of pain, fear and anguish streaming down her face, yet Sirius looks at her steely and says:
"I am not. I am making sure that both you and Harry have someone who can, in their own special way, teach you what you need to know." And the girl deflates, sagging down in her seat from where she had jumped up and Sirius states: "And that you think I would do such a thing –." Yet he leaves the sentence open at which Belle reads on.

Both Ron … than critical.

At this the twins, who are still seated on both of Harry's sides, want to speak up, but then Even says: "Don't. Matters like these are insignificant, compared to the questions only she can answer for herself. Don't bother with small-fry like this." And the twins nod before they focus on Harry, who is still looking at his friend in disbelief.
Yet Hermione is looking at Evan and he truly sounds like the Nobody of Ice as he says: "You know just fine what I mean. The question you asked me last night as well as the other question that was asked of you today and what Sirius just told you of your judgement of him. You know as well as I you need to focus on that."
At this the girl looks down and then Ariel says: "We'll do it." Making Sirius, who had been looking hurt and betrayed, smile at her and even Hermione sends the Queen of the Land and Sea a grateful smile. Yet I focus on Belle in all this and the woman whispers: "He has my support." Making me smile at her before she reads on.

"Here," she … sacked immediately?"

"Oh how I wish that blasted woman was still alive. I would love to find out how she would feel if she knew what her –." Tonks moans, but then Moody snarls: "She wouldn't care." And everyone looks at him shocked before he growls: "I met with them, remember. Back in London before their sentence." Tonks nods and he snarls:
"She wouldn't care one bit. And I'm saying this with this much conviction for two reasons. One, I know that the Heartstamp Spell requires as much dark emotional Intent as the Unforgivables. Two, I know what else those two are guilty of." And at this he looks at Harry, who shudders but keeps silent as Belle reads on.

Ron opened … it ourselves."

"No." A stone cold and dead serious voice suddenly says and we all look shocked as James Potter glowers at the girl and says: "No, you will not convince my son to teach illegal Defense Against the Dark Arts classes or club sessions or whatever it is you are planning to call it. It – won't – happen." To which the girl screeches:
"WHY NOT?" Yet she instantly falters as James' glare worsens and this time it seems as if the Potter Lord is practically on the war path as I suddenly spot the ward stone lighting up and the area around us seems to be under the effects of the man's emotional magic as well. The grass at the edge is rustling and cracks appear in the seats.
"Why not? Because my son already has a target on his back. Because he is already being tortured by that woman. Because you will lead my son right into that woman's hands. Because you didn't even think of what Umbridge will do once she gets the chance to expel Harry! THAT IS WHY IT WON'T HAPPEN, GOT THAT?"

Yet before Hermione can do more than nod, does Sirius pull James down from where he was standing and pulls him in his lap, pushing him so that the man's face is against his shoulder and keeping him from saying or shouting anything more. Yet while James obviously trembles in protective rage over his son, does Sirius say:
"Hermione, up until this point, I was under the impression that you believed yourself Harry's mentor if not his mother. That you were being this arrogant and demanding, because you believed yourself the only one who knew how to guide Harry. But the fact that you were planning to guide him to something this – thoughtless."
Here he levels her with a glare and hisses: "I cared for you, Hermione, but now – I only owe you a life debt and nothing more. And to repay that debt, if only to get you to deflate that ego of yours, I will do what I can to teach you what it's like to live in the Magical World. Because you are clearly missing some very vital classes."

And this obviously strikes the girl the worst before Sirius growls: "However, as father of Harry, mate of James and Lord of House Black – I do have this right and you just forced me to enact it." And here he turns to Arthur, who seems to catch his drift as he says: "You have my permission, my Lord Black." At which Sirius nods.
He then turns to the twins and Ron and says: "As the Lord that heads the family of which you descend through your father's mother, I demand that you keep my son and secondary Heir, Harry James Potter, away from Muggleborn Hermione Jeanne Granger until such time I consider her education in the Magical World complete.
This includes in classes, meal times and any other time that Harry is in a room and is to be approached by Mss. Granger. You are not to interfere in the reading, unless you believe that Hermione's approach of Harry is unfounded and you are not to interfere if Harry desires to approach Hermione, unless you consider her a risk to his health.

Do you boys understand your orders?" And all three firmly chorus: "Yes, Lord Black. We understand." Yet at this Hermione screams: "YOU CAN'T DO THAT!" But the Black Lord, who is now tightening his hold on his mate, obviously for his own need more than his mate, glares at her and furiously snarls:
"Like it or not, Granger. This is how the Magical World runs. Parents go far to protect their offspring and to ensure that they have a prosperous future. And you, your arrogance, your demanding nature and your clear lack of knowledge of our culture – is something I consider a threat to my son; the one to continue my ancient Line."

The girl looks flabbergasted and Sirius glares at her as he says: "Face the facts, Granger. We're in the Magical World here. Our rules count here. And you obviously don't know enough about them. Yet, what's worse, every time you learn of them – you disrespect them. You don't want to be a witch. You want us to be Muggles.
And that's exactly why I gave these orders and why so many Purebloods hate your kind. Because you act like hypocrites. You accept our invitation into our world, our homes and our lives – and then try to change them, to change us. Tell me something, Hermione, have you ever even opened a book on what makes a Pureblood a Pureblood?"
At this, to my shock, do I see Hermione lowering her head and Sirius' glare intensifies as he says: "As I thought. That's exactly what I meant. You only care for the invitation to our world and our home, but you don't care for what is special, important and even sacred to us. At least not enough to actually study it and enlighten yourself.

Instead, you judge everything you see that has been around for us for generation upon generation. But you never considered why it was around for so long and you never questioned it. Well, congratulations, you will learn why that is. Only – I won't be your teacher." At this the girl wants to object and snap:
"But your Life Debt –." Yet Sirius has clearly had enough with her as he says: "Compels me to make sure you learn this, it doesn't compel me to do so myself. However, out of honor for what you did for me and what – as skewed as your views are – you try to do for my son – I'll try to find someone who can be patient with you.
Who can explain it in a way you will – hopefully – want to understand. You will hear at a later time who this person will be. End of discussion." Yet at this Belle says: "I'll do it." Making Sirius send her a strange look and she says: "Why not learn what I can teach? Is that wrong?" But Sirius shakes his head and Belle calmly reads on.

"Do what … you, Harry."

And yet, while it was obvious right from the word go and while this was what everyone had been expecting since James Potter's outburst, does no one comment on this, everyone too enthralled by what just happened between the Houses of Black, Weasley, Potter and Hermione herself as Belle calmly continues reading.

There was … an idea."

Yet at this everyone turns to the redhead in shock and the boy turns red as he says: "Good grief, I'm an idiot." At which Hermione wants to retort, but Ron glares at her and says: "You already heard the reasons why this is a bad idea. Don't try to change my mind now." Making the girl reel back and Belle hurries on her reading.

"What's an … you've done!"

"Now that's just wrong." A cool, serene voice suddenly says and we all let out yelps as none of us have even noticed Luna the last few minutes and she says: "Only acknowledging that someone did something great when it benefits you, but ignoring it for the sake of your plans. That's just wrong." And she shakes her head.
"Mss. Lovegood, I assure you –." Dumbledore wants to say, but then Luna says: "You're being quite dishonest to your own members, you know. Having other Order members hide around the arena, because you still want Harry guarded." And instantly Kingsley, Tonks, Mr. Weasley, Moody, James and Sirius all scream:
"WHAT?" While Dumbledore looks at the girl in clear shock and James asks: "When did that happen?" And Luna answers: "When you forced Dumbledore out of Potter Place. He had a monitoring charm on the front entrance and when you let the Finnegans in, a couple of Order members followed. They've been here ever since."
And while Dumbledore is obviously shocked that she knows about this, do the other Order members send the man betrayed looks as Luna says: "You have your best men and warriors sitting right here and still you don't trust them because they side with Harry and you fear they will acknowledge his accomplishments no matter what.

You have trust issues." The girl ends her speech, sounding as loftily as if she was discussing the weather and to my shock, do I hear ruffling and scuffling behind me, as if someone is trying to move away without being seen or heard. Instantly my friends and I all have our Keyblades out and Lea hisses: "Show yourselves, you prats."
And four men and one woman show themselves, releasing spells meant to hide them before they drop their wands as a sign that they surrender. Yet Harry seems to spot something as he shouts: "ACCIO WAND!" Aiming his wand for the man standing at the far right of the group and who, to my shock, is smirking with evil glee on his face.
The man glares at this and Harry wants to catch the wand in his hand, but as it enters the ring of the Ward Stone arena, does the Stone actually light up a second time and does it release an actual blast of magic that hits, splinters and destroys the wand entirely. Yet while everyone ducks for cover, do I hear a chorus of voices:
"YOU TRAITOR!" And to my shock do I realize that it's the Weasley twins shouting before they get pushed to the ground by their father and eldest brother. Then the smoke of the explosion covers us all, yet I also sense someone moving from the arena and a streak of something that looks like a skirt made of white hair says enough.

And when the smoke clears up, do I indeed see that Riku has the traitor of a man on the ground, a furious glare on his face proving he is ready to lynch the man alive, his hands covered in tendrils of Darkness to prove his incredible power and his Keyblade tightly against the man's throat with the tip digging into his skin.
Instantly the other Order members are on their feet as well and Madam Longbottom states: "Riku, let him go." But the boy growls: "Not until I am 100% he won't be a threat to my mate or my family." And while Madam Longbottom frowns at this, do the other Order members, both those inside the arena and out, move over.
Kingsley, Tonks, Moody, Mr. Weasley, Bill, James, Sirius, Remus, Dumbledore, the three unknown men and the one unknown woman all take their stance so that they both protect one of the people next to them and are protected by the person on their other side and all aim their wands at the downed man as James growls:
"Move, Riku. We've got this." To which Riku nods, apparently satisfied, yet before he moves, do I hear him whisper: "Gravity." And a dome of dark energy leaves his Keyblade, pressing the man under him flat against the ground before he jumps up and instantly the Order members all let loose a whole barrage of spells, curses and jinxes.

And after they have all hit their mark, has the combination of this magic and Riku's magic made it so that the man is lying on the ground, downed and out and everyone sighs in relief at this. Bill then moves over to where the wand was struck and seems to examine the leftovers of the magical item along with Kingsley and Tonks.
The two look at each other and nod before Bill says: "It's our guy." This makes everyone turn to him and he says: "The assassin. The wand signature matches with what I was able to get from the ward stone. That's the bastard that tried to attack the kids when we decided to vent our anger." And he growls this at the end.

"Albus, who is this anyway?" James asks and the man answers: "His name is Christian Pommel. He came to me shortly after Kingsley and Tonks joined our cause and told me he had had some minor skirmishes with them, but that they showed him the error of his ways and that he wanted to follow them down the right path."
Yet at this Tonks actually glares at the man furiously and she says: "Ugh, how the heck did I not recognize him? He was one of my worst cases. Minor errors, indeed. He tried leading three illegal Love Houses. The only reason he didn't get send to Azkaban for it is because it was constantly in or on the border of Knockturn Alley."
This makes Dumbledore look at the man shocked and Kingsley sighs as he says: "I remember him and it does explain how he knew the spell that almost hit the kids. It was another reason why he never even got trialed, he constantly cast the same spell on his establishments, thus destroying all of our potential evidence along with the locations."

At this Dumbledore grimaces horribly, his eyes closed and his face almost hidden in his beard as Moody says: "You really need to screen our new members better from now on, old friend." And Dumbledore nods while sending the man a grateful smile, obviously because the man didn't sound condescending, just advising.
"Lord Potter, permission to extract the memory of the ward stone of when it intervened in both cases? I'd like to present this unmistakable evidence to the Aurors of the DMLE, so that this criminal can finally be given the justice he deserves." Bill then officially states and James nods before he moves over to the Ward Stone.
He puts his hand on the stone and seems to focus deeply as he gently and slowly pulls his hand away not once but twice and each time a silver ball of shimmering gas comes with his moving hand. And each time does Kingsley cast a spell to have the gas encased with glass before he takes it from the man and puts it away.

The Auror and his partner then move back to the fallen members and cast even more spells, which apparently make sure that the man is completely unarmed and held captive as special-looking cuffs are wrapped around his wrists which are tied behind the man's back as the two nod at us all before moving back to the entrance.
"Albus, I won't judge you for bringing the assassin into my home as you had obviously no idea who he was, but I will judge you for thinking you can play Order Leader in my own home and overturn my rights as Lord Potter. Therefore, I will bring up a ward that will only allow entrance to those of one or two individual's choice and no more.
And sorry, Albus, but I pick Alastor and Luna. His eye can see through more than anything, especially once the ward is active and Luna is obviously more perceptive than any of us expected her to be. Do you accept this?" James then asks the man and after the ancient Leader nods in guilty acceptance does Sirius turn to his son.

Harry has his head down and says: "I'm sorry, dad. I – I just saw his smirk the minute he revealed himself and before I knew what I was doing, I just – I shouted that spell. I didn't mean to, but – heh, I'm so used to it." At this the man nods and says: "Which is why we have our rules. But I am glad that you are learning. That means a lot."
At this Harry smiles at his dad, obviously glad that the man isn't too mad and Sirius says: "We'll discuss this further when your mother leaves for his meeting, when we have our lesson, okay?" And another nod is his answer, his son well aware that a punishment is still underway, but accepting it as Belle reads on.

"How d'you … so angry.

"You two are horrible." I hear myself say and this makes the two look at me astonished as I barely comment on the books at all, but I glare at them and say: "You want him to get angry and then exhaust himself so that he will agree with you. You're not trying to convince him, you're trying to make him give into your demands."
This makes the two look at each other shocked and I glare at them as I can barely believe that this is the same group of friends that I saw trying to seek comfort with each other whenever they had a chance to be alone. "Don't try to convince someone of something you don't know of. That's just wrong." I think as Belle reads on.

"Don't sit … STOP LAUGHING!"

By now both of the two aforementioned teens are looking down in guilt, yet I can't feel any sympathy for them as they are being immorally wrong in the book. And mostly because Harry, Ron and Hermione remind me of Sora, Riku and myself, do I take their actions against their best friend much more seriously as Belle reads on.
"I can't believe I'm saying this, but there actually is a way." James suddenly mutters and everyone turns to him as he says: "In the very top floor of the Manor, there is a special Pensive that is actually build out of the room itself and of which the magic encompasses the entire room as well." At this Harry gasps and asks:
"Wait, are you saying that – that if I were to –." And James nods as he says: "Yes, if you were to put your memories of those events – which I really want more details on, thank you – you could have the Pensive make it so that the memory is shown all throughout the room – or at least as much of the room as the memory needs."
Harry looks shocked, but then James turns to his son's two friends and says: "However, I won't let you go there yet. First of all, just putting your memories away won't help you heal. Second, I think these books, in the long run, will have the same effects." At this many of us nod, yet Harry sighs as he does and Belle reads on.

The bowl … friends die -

And here Harry proves that the previous conversation and the book really affect him as he cringes at which the twins, that are yet again sitting on both of his sides, embrace him tightly and they whisper: "It's okay, Harry. We've got you." And to our shock, do they lock one arm each under his legs and lift him off his seat.
"We'll be back later. Our mate needs to grieve." They then chorus and while I only notice a few tears rolling down Harry's cheeks, do I know that the two are right and we all nod, some of us in empathy and others – like Harry's parents and Mr. Weasley – in pride and the two boys carry their mate out of the arena as Belle reads on.

They've never … needed me –"

"That's not entirely our fault." A stubborn voice suddenly causes us all to gasp and we look at Hermione as she says: "Well, it isn't. Harry never told us anything of what happened." But to this Arthur glares at her and says: "No, he didn't. But he wasn't the only one who could have told you. Sirius and Albus could have too."
This makes Hermione cringe and Mr. Weasley glares at her as he says: "Once again, Hermione, you let your pride get ahead of your heart and you dismissed your friend and his rights, just because you felt wronged. But you wouldn't have had to have felt that, if you had just used that intelligence you are so well-revered for.
You could have – and you should have – realized that if your best friend has the right reasons for not being able to tell you what you want to know, that you should broaden your horizon and search for those who can." At this the girl looks down, realizing that the man is right and the rest of us glare even more fiercely as Belle reads on.

"We weren't … quietly. "Please?"

"You didn't even apologize." I scold the girl, feeling furious that she kept holding onto these immoral beliefs of hers when her plan was obviously so full of holes and while her ways of trying to convince her best friend were just as wrong and the girl looks away in guilty shame as I wonder: "Is that a common thing?" As Belle reads on.

Harry could … prickling again.

And on that morbid note does Belle close the book, tears shining in her own eyes and I think: "Master, you need to send Beast over now. Belle is a good replacement friend, but she needs her husband or she won't survive this reading. This is too unlike her other books for her to handle." And instantly the Arena lights up brightly.
And from the light does a huge monster, with the head of a buffalo, the jaw of a lion, the body of a bear and the legs and tail of a wolf appears from it. The Beast wants to rush for Belle, but the brunette shocks him and us as she shakes her head and says: "Find two redheads and a young boy. The latter needs you, more than me."
Beast looks at her for a while and then nods before Simba stands up and says: "I still have their scent, I will take you to them." The Beast nods at the Lion King and the two rush out of the arena, some of those around me still looking at the new guest in shocked awe for his looks and physique. Yet then James sighs and says:
"I guess we best just follow them. Break up for now, take some time to gather ourselves back up and for Arthur, Augusta, the others and I to head for the Ministry." At this the others nod, some of them reluctantly. Yet as the five of them want to cross the border of the arena, do we all hear a set of sounds that startle and shock us.

A mighty roar, coming from an animal so wild it can only be either Beast or Simba and then another one – that sounds more like it comes from a majestic feline and making me know it's Simba – follows it before, after a few seconds, another loud noise rings through the air. But it's not a roar, it's a cry. A cry of pain, heartbreak and utter, utter grief.
Harry, Simba and Beast are letting out the most instinctual, the most internal, the most emotional sounds that their bodies can produce and we are all silent oral witnesses to it. And while I don't know where the three are, do I still feel like they are right in front of me, as if they are letting out their pain for me to hear.
My eyes tear up and I feel my pure heart beat faster, pain, sadness, grief and emotions like that not being able to affect me in dark way and so making me feel less of the pain than I should and often trying to make me feel more than I should because of this. Yet this time, I don't care. This time I let it. This time, I want it.

Poor Harry.

Okay, to be honest, I was planning to end this chapter at the first paragraph here, but the idea of Beast helping Harry like this just felt so right and I wanted to also focus a little more on Kairi and what it usually means for her to be a Princess Pure of Heart. Also, the capture of the assassin was completely unexpected.
No really, I had no idea what I was planning with that assassin and while I am not trying to make it look as if the Order is made of nothing but traitors and bastards, did this just feel better than anything else. Especially because I got to make delightful use of my favorite little Ravenclaw and how special she really is.
Now next chapter is going to be LONG! It's going to cover just SO MUCH! The meeting between James, Augusta and Fudge, Percy and Umbridge, the trial of the Dursleys and Fanatical Figgy and finally the questioning/trial of Christiaan Pommel. After that we go back to Harry, Hermione, Belle and Sirius back at Potter Place.
Hope you enjoy,
