Chapter 6: More Discussions, Nightmares and the Cissy Problem

Tuesday, June 27th, 1972

Harry and the girls arrived in his flat. Bella sat down on the couch while Andi and Cissy started to look around.

"I know it's not much now, but your grandfather is sending someone to expand the flat tomorrow." said Harry sitting next to Bella. "Are you ok?"

"The potion helps a little, but it'll be a while before I'm back to my charming self." said Bella.

"Charming is one way to describe you I guess." said Andi.

Bella started to respond to her sister, but Harry stopped her.

"Maybe we should let Bella recover a bit before riling her up." said Harry.

Andi nodded.

"Is there anything to eat?" asked Cissy.

"We just had lunch, Cissy." said Andi.

"You try eating when all the arguing is going on." said Cissy.

Andi had to agree with that. She hadn't eaten as much either.

"I'm sorry about what happened with your father and for your current living situation, but I thought you'd be safer with me." said Harry.

"I don't mean any disrespect, but what can an 11 year old wizard do to protect us? I mean we had powerful wards at the manor…" started Andi.

"And a father who used the Cruciatus Curse on us." said Bella.

Cissy started crying and Harry went over to her and gave her a hug.

"It'll be ok, Cissy." Harry led Cissy over and sat her down on the other side of him on the couch. "I might not look like much, but I'm stronger than you think. I take my responsibility for the three of you seriously and will do everything I can to keep you safe. The apartment is warded pretty well already, but if I know your grandfather, more protective wards will be added tomorrow. There's a lot we need to talk about so I don't want to cook right now. Why don't I make us some sandwiches." said Harry.

"You can cook?" asked Andi.

"I've been cooking for 8 years. Ever since I was 7 years old." said Harry.

"Wait a minute, that doesn't…" started Andi.

"Let him be, Andi. All will be explained." said Bella.

Harry made a plate of sandwiches. It seemed Cissy really was hungry since she ate more of them than anyone. After they finished eating, Andi was quick to start asking questions.

"How did you convince our grandfather to accept your bid for all 3 of us?" asked Andi.

"At first I think he was intrigued with me, but in the end he saw me as a way to save you from marriages with people he considered undesirable." said Harry.

"The Death Eater's." said Andi.

"I want you to know that the reason I gave for wanting all three of you was the truth, but there's more to it than what I told you." said Harry.

"Here we go." said Andi.

"Andi, please keep an open mind to what you're about to hear." said Bella.

"You already know what he's going to say?" asked Andi.

"I do and it's a lot to take in." said Bella.

"Get comfortable. This all starts in Godric's Hollow on Halloween 1981…" started Harry.

Harry told his story. He tried to condense it a bit, but it still took a couple hours to get through everything. Surprisingly Andi and Cissy kept quiet until he was done.

"So in this reality of yours, Bella was contracted to Rodolphus Lestrange, I ran away with Theodore Tonks and Cissy was contracted to Lucius Malfoy?" asked Andi.

"Yes." said Harry.

"You believe all this?" asked Andi looking at Bella.

"Yes. It's hard not to when there's an Unspeakable backing up his story." said Bella.

"From what you said I had a happy life with Theodore. What's to stop me from running away with him now?" asked Andi.

"I never got to meet you in my time, Andi, but from what Sirius told me, being banished from the Black Family crushed you. You loved Ted and made a life with him away from all the Pureblood bullshit, but you always felt out of place." said Harry.

"Cissy, what do you think?" asked Andi.

"I don't know what to think except that Harry's past really means nothing. Whatever the reasons, he saved us from horrible marriages in this reality." said Cissy.

"I agree. We should focus on what we can do now and not worry about what was before." said Bella.

"I'll have to think about this more. So what are we doing for sleep?" asked Andi.

"The three of you can have the bed. I'll take the couch." said Harry.

The girls said goodnight and headed into the bedroom. As Harry was getting the couch ready he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw Cissy.

"Can I sleep with you?" asked Cissy.

"I don't think that's appropriate right now." said Harry.

"Please. A lot has happened today and I don't want to have nightmares." said Cissy.

"Won't Bella and Andi be able to protect you from nightmares?" asked Harry.

Cissy vigorously shook her head and Harry sighed.

"Ok, but just for tonight. This can't become a habit." said Harry before expanding the couch a bit and lying down. Cissy curled up into him under the blanket.

In the bedroom doorway Andi and Bella were giggling.

"That was a mistake." said Bella.

"Yep, our little sister will have him wrapped around her little finger." said Andi.

The next morning Harry woke up to two pairs of brown eyes looking at him.

"Sleep well, Harry?" asked Bella laughing.

"We were sleeping just fine." said Cissy grumpily as she slid off the couch and headed to the bathroom.

"We should've warned you about Cissy." said Andi.

"It's fine. It was just for the night. You all will have your own beds tonight." said Harry.

Harry didn't know what to think about the giggles from Bella and Andi at his comment. Instead of worrying about it he got up and started making breakfast. The workers that Arcturus sent showed up just as they were finished eating.

Harry was amazed at the magic used to expand the flat. By the time they were done it was like they had their own mini manor.

"So what should we do for the rest of the day?" asked Harry as they sat down in their newly furnished sitting room.

"We should go shopping." said Cissy.

"Really, Cissy? You have enough clothes to fill all of Magical Britain." said Bella. Cissy stuck her tongue out at her.

"There is one thing we can do, but it would mean going to the Ministry." said Andi.

"What's that?" asked Harry.

"I know you can cook. You probably have no problem cleaning as well, but it would be better if we were to have a House-Elf. They can only be purchased at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures." said Andi.

Harry couldn't help but hear Hermione's voice in his head about having a slave.

"I'm not sure I like the idea about owning a slave." said Harry.

"What do you know about the House-Elf bond?" asked Bella.

"Nothing. I just know that House-Elves are treated like slaves and forced to harm themselves with barbaric punishments." said Harry.

"I won't say you're wrong. There are some families who treat their House-Elves like that, but most are treated like members of the family." said Bella.

"If they're members of the family, why the bond?" asked Harry.

"Without a strong magical bond a House-Elf would die. That's why only magically powerful families are allowed to have them. You'll also find them at places like Hogwarts, the Ministry and Gringott's where there is a lot of magic present." said Andi.

"Ok. We'll go to the Ministry and get a House-Elf. Afterwards we'll take Cissy shopping." said Harry.

Cissy squealed excitedly causing Bella and Andi to roll their eyes.

"Come on, you both know you'll enjoy the trip also." said Harry.

The visitor entrance was the same as Harry remembered from his hearing over the summer, but a different wizard was checking wands. He looked just as bored though. The four of them quickly made it to the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.

Harry couldn't help but appreciate the difference this time had for him. Nobody knew who he was so he didn't have to deal with people asking to see his scar or stopping him to tell them how thankful they were for him defeating Voldemort.

They stopped at the front desk and got the attention of the witch there.

"Excuse me, ma'am. I am Lord Peverell and I'd like to see about getting a House-Elf for my House." said Harry.

"Aren't you a bit young to be a Lord?" asked the woman.

"Yes, but nonetheless that is what I am." said Harry showing her his ring.

"Very well. Fill out these forms and I'll inform Mr. Sturgis of your request." said the woman.

They finished the forms and were told that it would be a few minutes wait. After 30 minutes Harry'd had enough with waiting and was about to complain when a young man came out and headed towards them.

"I apologize for your wait, Lord Peverell. Mr. Sturgis had to accompany the Auror's on a raid. I'm Mr. Sturgis' apprentice, Angus Diggory." said the man.

Harry almost did a double take at hearing the name, but was able to keep his composure.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Diggory." said Harry.

"Please call me Angus. Mr. Diggory is my father." said Angus.

"Then you may call me Harry. All this Lord business gives me a headache." said Harry.

"I can imagine. Well everything's in order. If you'll follow me I have some House-Elves ready for you to choose from." said Angus.

Harry and the girls followed Angus to a room down the hall. There were House-Elves of all shapes and sizes. Harry really didn't even know where to begin in choosing. He could hear Andi and Bella discussing which ones they thought would be a good fit though. He was about to just let them pick one when two of the elves caught his eye.

Where the other elves looked strong and healthy these two looked sick and like they could barely stand.

"What about these two?" asked Harry.

"I apologize, Harry. These two shouldn't have been brought down. They were recently dismissed by a family. They're scheduled to be put down." said Angus.

"I'll take them." said Harry.

"Are you sure? There are plenty of obedient elves to choose from." said Angus.

"I've made my choice." said Harry and Angus talked him through bonding with the two elves. "What are your names?"

"I's be Tilly, Master and this be's my sister, Misty." said Tilly.

"Do either of you need any medical help?" asked Harry.

"No, Master. With the bond we's already be feeling better." said Misty.

"Ok. Do you know where our home is?" asked Harry.

"Yes, Master." said Misty.

"I want you to go there and rest until you are feeling fully healed. You're not to do any work until then, understood." said Harry receiving two nods in response. "Oh and call me, Harry. I don't like being called Master."

"Of course, Harry." said Tilly before the two of them disappeared.

"Thank you for your time, Angus. You were a lot of help." said Harry.

"It was my pleasure, Harry. If you have any trouble with them don't hesitate to contact us." said Angus.

Harry and the girls left the department and exited the Ministry.

"Who's ready for some shopping?" asked Harry.

Cissy squealed while jumping up and down for her answer.

'Never again.' thought Harry as he sat down on the couch with the cup of tea Tilly brought him.

The two elves were currently putting away more clothes, shoes and jewelry than Harry had ever seen. It wasn't just for the girls either. Somehow he allowed the three of them to use him us a dress-up doll for four hours. He now had more clothes than he knew what to do with and it was hinted that there'd be more trips when he started growing more. He'd mentioned that he could just modify the clothes and a chill went through him at the glares he got for that statement.

Once again, Harry was amazed at how magic worked. Tilly and Misty looked like completely different elves from how they looked when he bonded with them. Having them was going to take some getting used to also. They had a huge dinner finished and ready to serve in minutes when it would've taken him hours to get everything ready.

The exhaustion from the day and their full bellies tired the three of them out so they all said their goodnights and headed to bed.

Harry lied in bed for a bit thinking about everything that had happened and what was still to come. Eventually sleep started to take him though. He was just getting comfortable when he felt the covers shift and felt someone curl up next to him. He didn't have to look to know that it was Cissy. He knew that he should wake up and tell her to go back to her own bed, but he was too tired to bother with it so fell into the darkness of sleep.

Author's Note: New chapter, yay! I've said it in my other recent updates, but I've had a lot of personal issues getting in the way of writing. These stories will never be abandoned. Thank you for those who continue to read.
