12/04/22 - Just another small update in chapter summary/closing! Read at the end!
Even then, my desire to find Seiko had limits. One of them being the door leading to the Infirmary. And the other being the hallway leading to what I didn't think could be humanly possible. An ungodly sight that forced me to wince in pure revolting dread.
(Naomi): "Oh God!"
Covering my eyes didn't help at all. It was too late. What I already saw could never be removed from my mind. But it wasn't just the horrifying placement of guts and entrails hanging off the wall. I could also smell the rotting flesh. I could even...taste...the decaying foul air going down my throat. Crushing my windpipe with my gag reflex being burned by some corrosion.
(Naomi): "Rrng...! *Gag* *Sputter* *Cough* *Cough* *Pant*"
What the hell?!
What the hell is this?!
(Naomi): "...*Gasping*"
Was this once a person?! Was this DONE by a person?!
The splatter is undoubtedly the remains of what used to be a human. All that flesh and bone and skin that used to hold an actual living and breathing person. Now. Simply just a pile of rotting flesh, reeking its way through hallway with an unpleasant history. God knows for how long and why and how and when it happened.
Seiko couldn't have gone this way!
In my terrified state, not much else can be achieved at this point. Which I returned back to that very same classroom from earlier. Hid myself away as I kept pacing feverishly back and forth. Trying to recover from that tainted physical ill feeling as it felt like my internal organs had really suffered severe damage. In a way, it's like if my body started to rot as well...just like that grotesque fleshy wall. But after what I experienced, the illusion of Seiko being "safe" was now drastically far from the realm of possibility. And all I could do is panic.
(Naomi): "*Shivering*"
Where could she be?!
Where else do I go at this point?!
All the doors on this floor are locked!
The windows can't break apparently...
The flooring leading to the entranceway is too dangerous to jump across!
(Naomi): "Oh God! Why are we going through this...?! Where did you run off to Seiko...?!"
It was already obvious what I needed to do. Exploration is all I had left, and that meant... confronting the hallway of horrors once again.
(Naomi): "*Shivering*"
I have to really go through there, don't I?
Because where else would Seiko be?
(Naomi): "Damn it...!"
But still!
How the hell did she manage to get past that mess?
(Naomi): "*Heavy sigh*"
Well, if she went through there, then I guess I really have no other choice...
I gotta do it for Seiko's sake!
After convincing myself, I proceeded to leave the classroom and try again. However, the ever-growing dread inside me caused my heart to stop, once I felt the door bounce back. Not sliding open.
(Naomi): "...?! What?! No!"
This time, I used both hands. But the door wasn't sliding at all. No matter how hard I tried. It felt like I wasn't meant to leave.
(Naomi): "No! No! Not again! Please not again!"
But I didn't stop. I kept kicking and pounding and rocking against the door. Giving it my all regardless how much pain I inflicted on myself.
(Naomi): "Open!"
*Thud*
*Thud*
*Thud*
*Thud*
(Naomi): "Just open!"
*Thud*
*Thud*
*Thud*
(Naomi): "Open! Open! FUCKING OPEN!"
*Thud*
(Naomi): "O-Open...!"
It was no use. Every ounce of effort just hit me back in the face. Leaving me with dread and even more uncertainty as I began picturing myself in all the worst outcomes. From being in a body bag to one of the dead bodies piled in the hall to the wall of mutilation.
(Naomi): "N-No! No! No, no, no! This...This can't be happening again! How the hell did I get locked in this time...?! There's no way! I just got in here!"
Looking at the door more carefully, no bolt could be seen holding the door together.
(Naomi): "What...? The door isn't locked...? But why... Why can't it open...?!"
Beyond the glass, there was still nothing to be seen. No indication of the door being barricaded or sealed up in any manner.
(Naomi): "Aaaaah! Why did I ever step foot into this stupid room...?! I mean! How is this even possible?! Could ghosts really be behind all this?!"
But then... I couldn't stop picturing the splatter and remains. Realizing how stupid that sounded.
(Naomi): "No... That doesn't explain what I saw! Somebody else has to be here...! Somebody is trying to kill us!"
And who else could've it been?
(Naomi): "...!"
That can't be...
Did Seiko actually lie to me just so I don't freak out?
Does this all tie back to the serial killer?!
Even if that wasn't the case, with what I'm going through, Seiko's disappearance made much more sense. And nobody was here to save me. Or so it seemed until... I heard my name. Softly spoken.
"Naomi...!"
(Naomi): "...?!"
A word that shouldn't even be uttered by any stranger. But how? How could they know my name? Maybe that's because... this is actually coming from the person who mattered to me the most.
(Naomi): "S-Seiko...?!"
Just who else could it be? Just who else would know my name? Who else... would call me by that? And the more I thought that way... it just... sounded more like her, more and more.
(Naomi): "Seiko!"
Without hesitation, I started banging on the windows by the classroom door. Banging them hard as I can.
(Naomi): "It's me! Naomi! I'm trapped! I'm trapped in here! Help me!"
I still couldn't see her. And I didn't want to believe this was somebody else who so happened to know my name. There's just no way this person wasn't Seiko. But somehow, she didn't come running to my voice or even notice me hammering into the glass.
(Naomi): "Seiko! Are you there?! I'm in this room! Get me out of here! Please! Get me out!"
My pounding and screaming were still not enough to reach her. As I still couldn't see anything move within the decrepit shadows.
(Naomi): "...Seiko! Can you hear me?! Please! Please... don't leave me in here! Seiko! Seeeikooooo...!"
I banged on the glass for one last time, keeping my fist pressed in as I tried to not break into tears.
(Naomi): "*Sniffles* Why... Why weren't you able to hear me...?"
Was I really not loud enough...?
There's no way she could've missed me. But I didn't know what else to make of this. I mean, I heard my name. Coming from a voice that seemingly matched with hers. But now, it seemed like... I was completely alone.
Or that's what I thought.
"...Heehee..."
(Naomi): "...?"
I didn't hear just another voice. I heard...carnage...emanated in faint laughter. As it also came from the hallway.
What the hell?!
That's not Seiko!
"...Hee hee...hee hee...hee hee!"
Unnatural, eerie laughter... belonging to what sounded like...a child.
(Naomi): "H-Hello...?! Is...? Is somebody out there...?"
Instead of getting closer to the door, I moved myself a few steps back. Watching the window for the person in question. Though, the endless pursuit of my own shadow is what came of it. Constant paranoia watching over my shoulder.
Am I starting to hear things?
Am I really losing it...?
Is this place...driving me insane...?
This all could just be auditory hallucinations. Coaxed by anxiety.
Or maybe this was all supernatural.
But as I questioned myself, the room started to spin. Pain in my chest made breathing even harder. As the whole thing had me trembling with my skull reverberating all my fears. But within the next second, reality snapped me back into place.
"Heeheehee...!"
(Naomi): "...!"
Somebody was definitely out there.
Mocking me...
Even though it would be crazy to believe anybody would laugh at my situation, what else could they be laughing at?
Are they the ones up to this?...
Regardless of who this child could be, I lost my cool and just went off...
(Naomi): "H-Hey! Whoever's out there! This...This isn't funny! Let me out of this room!"
"...Hee hee... hee hee..."
I was more angered than terrified by their creepy laughs, but the thought of Seiko reminded me what's more important. Calming me down enough to plead with the stranger in question.
(Naomi): "Whoever you are, I'm looking for...a friend! I don't know where she has gone off too! And I need help finding her! So please! Stop whatever you're doing? And just let me out...?"
But that didn't come to their wicked senses. The creepy laughter still persisted. Rather than from only one child, another laughed along.
"Heeheehee!"
"Eheheh! Hahahaha!"
(Naomi): "...?"
There are more of these children...?
"...Hee hee..."
Why are they behaving this way...?
It wasn't just two of them. A third child also appeared in the background. However, this one came off the most demented out of the group.
"Galgh-Galgh-Galgh-Galghhhh!"
(Naomi): "*Shivering*"
It wasn't even a laugh. They were trying to mimic one. As if they had the half of their head removed. Pouring out blood and saliva every time they spoke.
Okay! There's something totally wrong with them!
Even though I was hearing them, I still couldn't see anybody behind the glass. But what I did see... was the sudden total pitch-black darkness consuming all light within the halls. Fading in an instant.
(Naomi): "...?!"
What the hell?!
Why did it go dark all of a sudden?!
However, the paranormal activity didn't end there. The classroom lights were now starting to act up too. Horrifying sounds of dying bulbs rupturing my eardrums with that horrendous razor-like buzzing. Flickering the lights on and off.
*Zzzz-Zzz-Zzzz*
(Naomi): "...!"
What is going on here?!
But it got even worse. What sounded like thunder, came crashing into the building. But it wasn't caused by the rainy weather, or really thunder itself, but rather... the demolition by the same children outside the classroom door, as they were forcing themselves in.
*Thud*
(Naomi): "...!?"
*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*
Why are they trying to break in?!
Aren't they the ones who locked me up in here?!
*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*
There was only one option, and I didn't hesitate. As I grabbed the nearest wooden chair and used it to smash one of the windows.
*Thud* *Thud*
C'mon! C'mon!
However, the plan ultimately failed once the chair made collision with the glass.
(Naomi): "...!?"
What?!
The window remained completely unscathed. Zero cracks. Not even a single dent towards the glass. But the chair instantaneously snapped into pieces like wood for a fire.
The chair broke?!
But not the window?!
How is that even possible?!
*Thud* *Thud* *Thud*
*Zzzz-ZzzZZZzzz*
*Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *Thud* *Thud*
(Naomi): "Eeee-Eyyyghhh...!"
I was too terrified to stand up that I started crawling across the floor. Looking for a place to hide which I ended up taking my chances by hiding underneath one of the desks. Tightly holding myself with my eyes glued shut.
Make it stop!
Please!
Make it all stop!
I kept wishing for that over and over... but when I opened my eyes again, the entire room became completely engulfed in pitch-black darkness. And the sounds going on were only getting worse. From the door being cracked open.
(Naomi): "...!"
Large chunks of wood could be heard snapping and jumbling down. Some flying off to various parts of the room as those same wooden chunks broke into smaller pieces. But it wasn't just the door. The classroom windows were also being smashed in as the glass could be heard shattering and sliding across the floor like thousands of marbles.
Why are they doing this?!
Are they going to kill me?!
Am I going to die in this room?!
But it wasn't just what I heard. I could even feel the air changing, as I felt the harshest temperatures from the farthest point of the planet. Freezing cold that consumed all the heat I had in my sweaty body. Shivering me to the bone. With my head pulsating so hard that I couldn't hear myself think.
Please stop! Please stop! Please stop!
I repeated that phrase in my mind... screaming it eternally as I tucked myself further into the desk. Trembling as I covered my mouth to hold back those inner screams. And it was like that just for a good minute, before... everything went silent. Which had me seeing this peculiar bluish glow... illuminating off the classroom cabinets from my direction. Shortly after, footsteps enter the room. Belonging to what sounded like the same children.
(Naomi): "...?!"
How is the room turning blue...?!
What is this?!
But then... I started hearing the desks and chairs being moved... being dragged around like helpless souls... and the sound of knives being carved into the rotting wood. Digging and digging and digging... while the horrifying laughter intensified.
(Naomi): "...!"
"Heeheeheehee!"
"Glaghl glaghl glaghl galgh!"
They were getting louder.
Louder.
Louder... and louder.
Oh my God they're coming this way!
The thumping in my chest gotten worst... that I even started to feel dizzy... which I closed my eyes and squeezed my body. But this didn't ease the vibrations coming from them. I could feel them through the floor. They were moving even closer.
Closer, and closer, and closer... until the desk started wobbling.
NO NO NO NO NO!
I don't want to die! I don't want to die! I DON'T WANT TO DIE!
Those thoughts were so loud that it took me more than a second to realize that the desk was no longer moving.
(Naomi): "...?!"
But it wasn't just the desk that had stopped. Everything in the room as well. With the only exception of the lightbulbs buzzing as they were bringing back light in the class.
What...?
Everything's...back to normal...?
Even more, the "blue" glow couldn't be seen anywhere inside the classroom. No sounds of blades sharpening, or the wood being carved in. No sounds of desks being moved. No sounds of chairs or footsteps.
No more laughter.
All that had completely stopped. Leaving me with this unsettling silence.
(Naomi): "*Shivering*"
Though, I was still too terrified... still struggling to leave the desk as I kept spasming in total terror. Barely able to breathe.
I can't leave!
It's not safe!
They could be waiting outside!
But...
What if those...things...get to Seiko before I do?!
I can't let them!
"...Heeheehee..."
(Naomi): "...!"
Turns out I was right. They never left the classroom. They had been waiting for me to take the bait. But instead of being dragged out by "them", the desk I've been hiding under began flying. Bringing me up along with it as I had been too terrified to let go.
(Naomi): "Ahhh! Wh-Wh-Wha?!"
Even when I should've let go, it was already too late. I was only going up. And somehow, the ceiling that was once above me turned into foggy darkness, as if the whole building had been stretched out into a pitch-black void. Which all I could do was dangle and watch the room below me shrink into a small box of existence.
What?!
How?!
Why am I flying?!
This shouldn't be possible!
And it didn't stop. It kept going up and up and up, until... I lost my grip.
(Naomi): "...?!"
Once I realized that, all I could do was... scream. Scream and cry seeing as there's nothing to save me from this.
I was going to die.
Seiko!
Where are you?!
Save me!
She was all I can think of. As I imagined her catching me from my fall.
But that's not how it ended.
*Fathud*
*Crunch*
(Naomi): "Gyghhhh!"
Instead, I landed with the sound of a fracture. Bone being split into pieces with immeasurable amounts of pain were vibrating throughout every nerve. Being screamed out of my fingers.
(Naomi): "*Aghhhh! Ohhhh! Oh God!"
The pain was extremely agonizing that I rolled onto my back, with me then holding the uninjured parts of my left arm... close to passing out.
(Naomi): "Gah! Ah-Ahhhhh...!"
But it wasn't over. The same desk I hanged onto was coming straight for me. Getting bigger and bigger as I choked in disbelief. Not just by the death object, but also... by what I heard. When it shouldn't even be possible.
"Get up Naomi! Get up!"
(Naomi): "...?!"
Seiko?!
Just like that, I carried the strength of a thousand people. Enough strength that I rolled myself over to the left side and ate all the crushing pain on my arm.
(Naomi): "Eughhh!"
Barely dodging the impact as the sound of collateral damage echoed throughout the room. First steel ricocheting. Then instantly wood crunching and snapping through the exposed floorboards. Creating an even larger crater.
(Naomi): "...!"
Even after all that, I had to keep moving. I knew that if I didn't, my second chance would be taken from me. And I didn't let that happen. Which I got up and quickly limped towards the exit. Even when the room suddenly went pitch-black, the blue glow of whatever shined the way. However, reaching to the door then became another life and death moment.
What?!
The door is still up?!
"Where are you heading off to big sister?"
(Naomi): "...?!"
Turning myself around, I finally found the source of those voices. Three faintly glowing children who appeared as... ghosts. Each to have their own injuries. One with a missing eye. The other with an exposed abdomen. And the third ghost... literally missing half of their head.
Ghosts!
They are actually ghosts!
And it seemed like they were suddenly treating me as one of their own. At least, that's what it seemed like until I saw the child with the missing eye raise her rusty sewing scissors towards my direction. Towards at me. Snipping them with a wicked smile. Tearing away at those hopes as her cold voice tore into my soul.
"Don't you wanna play with us?"
They were getting closer while I fidgeted backwards on the broken glass. Almost slipping down to my side.
*Crack* *Crack*
(Naomi): "...G-Get back!"
*Crack* *Crack* *Crack*
"Ahhmaanh balgh sis! Plaghhhh weyyyy ahhsss!"
(Naomi): "I-I said get back! I-I don't want any trouble! Just...Just leave me alone! Please!"
"...Hahaha... ...hahahaha..."
"Heeheehee...heehee!"
But they kept approaching me. Ignoring my humanity as they carried this blood thirsty carnage. Which I had no choice but to jump through the shattered windows before me. But while I did...
(Naomi): "...!"
...A sharp agonizing pain prevented me from moving completely through.
(Naomi): "Ahhhh! Gyaaaahh!"
Every time I moved forward; the shards of glass could be felt breaking inside me. Crunching into smaller pieces as I could feel both my flesh and organs being torn off and ripped apart extensively. Followed by the sensation of cooling blood running down on those burning pulsating gashes. Yet somehow, I was able to make it over to the other side. However, landing on even more broken glass. Getting it in a lot of places.
(Naomi): "Grrhhhh! Ohhhhh God!"
"Where are you going big sister?"
(Naomi): "...!"
"Ahhllaahhh hurrrr!"
Even after how I ended up, I still managed to endure the agony. Which I gritted my teeth, got up, held my broken arm and booked for it. Ignoring all odds while their laughter traveled down the hall. Trying to get to the second floor without collapsing.
"...Heh heh...heh heh..."
"AHAHAHAHAHAH!"
"Galgh galgh galgh!"
My stomach!
My arm!
It hurts!
It hurts so fucking much!
Oh my God!
Even then, I should be able to lose them through the pitch-black darkness. Right?
Wrong.
That same bluish glow kept on my tail. Shining the way for me as it was impossible to lose them.
I can't take this anymore!
"DIS IS FAHN! FAHN! FAHN!"
"Here we come big sister!"
I thought these ghosts are supposed to be nice!
Why are they chasing me down like this?!
"Plaghhh wif ahs sis!"
"Let me dig my scissors into your eye!"
Just fucking make them stop!
Please!
I can't last for any longer!
Another turn, I was now right in front of the staircase. Making my way up on the steps as fast as my legs can carry me without ever looking back.
Upstairs! Upstairs! Upstairs!
(Naomi): "...?!"
But of course... things got fucking worse.
(Naomi): "Gah!"
My entire leg got caught in one of the gaping holes of the steps. And it just couldn't be the one with the good ankle... it just had to be THAT one.
(Naomi): "...Why?! ...Why now?!"
I struggled, doing everything in my power to get myself out of this, but I just kept fumbling and squirming around everywhere with one arm before I started seeing that faint bluish glow radiating brighter. Glowing brighter...and brighter...as the heavy pressure began crushing and suffocating every part of my body.
"There she is!"
(Naomi): "...?!"
"Big sister came through here!"
Turning around, and there they were... walking up, slowly together. Rejoicing this moment like a twisted family dinner.
(Naomi): "G-Get back!"
"Heehee... heehee..."
(Naomi): "Just leave me alone! Leave me alone...!"
And they just kept walking up... ignoring my pleads as everything began getting blurry.
(Naomi): "...Leave me alone! *Sob* ...Please! ...Please! Don't! Don't get any closer...!"
However... the stairs started rocking... like if, the building was under attacked by a violent earthquake.
(Naomi): "...?!"
It was so violent; I couldn't hold myself up. The shaking was even too much for the ghost as it made them fade, then completely vanish from thin air. With the sounds of objects breaking and cracking, even ceiling tiles raining down. But worse.
(Naomi): "...?!"
The area where my leg got stuck, and beneath... started physically crumbling down... revealing a pitch black void at the very bottom where the steps below used to be. Freeing me.
(Naomi): "Oh my God!"
Luckily, I didn't fall into the bottomless pit. I managed to catch myself just in time and crawled the rest of my way out until I was on the second floor. Trembling and panting in so much pain. On my side, barely holding myself up from the floor. But it wasn't over. It got even worse... as I heard a loud snap from the ceiling. Seconds after... feeling an incredible force of weight slam down on me. Hitting my lower back.
(Naomi): "Gyghhhh!"
One of the ceiling beams had fallen on me... which led me to struggle under it until I managed to roll on my good side and slide the debris off. In that much pain, I couldn't do anything but rest on my back... trying to not get a stroke from all the extreme bruising, pulsating agony.
(Naomi): "*Pant* *Pant* *Pant* *Pant*"
But then I accidently put pressure on THAT arm.
(Naomi): "Ahhhh! Crap! Crap! Ahhh!"
I lifted my arm... realizing... it was REALLY bad. My arm was so broken that I could physically see the bone jutting out place.
(Naomi): "No...! *Sniffles* No...!"
What's worse was also watching the blood drip down, and I'm not even talking about the other wounds... just... I was in such a terrible state. All I could feel was total pain.
No comfort.
No reassurance...
Just pure pain and loneliness...
I felt so hopeless...
There was no way I'll survive if I don't stop the bleeding.
(Naomi): "*Sobs* *Sniffles*"
But just when I thought things just couldn't get any worse... just when I thought I was at least safe to bawl my eyes out... a glowing light caught my attention.
The same... glowing blue light. Reaching down the hall.
Don't worry my fellow readers! I have another couple chapters being released in a matter of days (At least one of them!)! I'm still currently choosing how the story will go as I have like 3-4 separate versions of how this arc ends! And I know! It's been waaaaaay over a year so please forgive me for promising something super-duper late! Hope this scratches that prolonged itch! Thank you for reading and following along!
(Stuff below isn't really too important! Safe to skip)
*THE UPDATE - 06/16/22* - Yes, it's that DAY! But unfortunately! I won't be posting those two chapters just yet! Chapter 17 is actually done from top to bottom, but the other "chapter" is nearly completed, and I want to release both on the same day! So! It'll be done within another couple or so days! Trust me! It'll be worth it for you Naomi x Seiko shippers! I hope you guys understand! Thank you for being patient!
*06/23/22* Second update - I know! I know! I'm taking way too long! Just letting you guys know I'm STILL alive! Even when medical bills can get pretty ridiculous, my cardio is unpredictable! Lol. But yeah, that "chapter" is just becoming more and more fun to write. Every time I return to my keyboard, I always add in new things which makes me enjoy proof-reading a little too much! That even I sit there and will be like, "Wait What's next?! I need something to HAPPEN!"
Anyway! Lol! If I do take too long again, I'll just post these random notes here and there! Hope you all are doing great!
*06/24/22* So happy so happy so happy! It will TOTALLY be worth it!
*07/03/22* Still alive! Still writing! At this rate, I might as well just address that there have been some minor changes in the previous chapters! Won't say WHERE exactly because it could take away a fraction of this magical reading experience I have been cooking up and perfecting with needles and a magnifying glass! But if you're one of the few who have been re-reading, then you might have an idea what the surprises are! AND YES, I SAID "SURPISES" which means PURAL! MULTIPLE THINGS COMING! xD
From this day forward readers, expect three chapters when I'm done: Chapter 17 and TWO other chapters! So far - One of those two are completely done! The other, still finalizing - revising a couple scenes! Trust me, this is my best work yet for the Seiko x Naomi ship! And I'm PROUD! Hopefully I could release it all tomorrow, because when I read... it's FIREWORKS! LOL! Anyway thank you for waiting guys!
*08/12/22* From now on, I'm just never going to announce a timeframe of when I'll "possibly" get finished because clearly, I totally don't have this awful habit of NOT getting things finished for a deadline xD Anyway! I think this will be the last note I'll post! I am EXTREMELY CLOSE to HAMMERING this final scene and it's just making me smile and jump for joy like an idiot! Even bringing me down to TEARS! Seriously! This one specific "chapter" will keep you shippers occupied for years! Not even kidding! Every time I finish reading, I go all the way back to the top and just reread the whole thing! Trapped in this infinite loop where I wish these moments were f-cking real in like an upcoming Corpse Party game or something!
So yeah, what you guys can expect is a LITERAL book sized chapter filled of love and good times between Seiko and Naomi because these two deserve a lot of that after all these years. And hopefully, I get these damn things out already! I understand how painful the wait is because it KILLS me too, but it'll all be worth it when it's done! Anyway! Thank you guys for staying patient! And thank you for the nice messages! Goodbye for now!
12/04/22 - How suspicious that there were 5 updates before this one, just the same amount for a victim memoir in Corpse Party xD But really, I am okay. And guess what? Chapter 17 is out. The rest of the "details" are there :)
