Yeah yeah, I know it's been a while. Sorry I've been busy with college… and playing Warframe in my free time. Hey, that game is a lot of fun! Okay!

Anyways, I thought it'd probably be best if I update this. You know, before you all got angry, formed a mob, and posted a hit on my head. You know, the usual. Enjoy!

P.S.: Accidents Can Happen. You can figure out what that means before reading on ahead... (evilly chuckles to himself)

Mailbox Time!

Mr. Ursine: Of course we wouldn't. Then again, she might also think it was mental manipulation on Raven's part. *shrugs* You never know what people will come up with to explain why they believe a lie.

Chapter Thirty-Nine: Having Fun?

Two weeks later…

It had been a rough two weeks of travel. From having to loop around to the South to avoid hero patrols. Travel West out in the open on a course to Star City. Avoiding active hero patrols in the day, staying out of sight of any kind of surveillance system, all while finding safe places to hunker down at night. Oh, and because of the experience in Smallville, strict training regiments led by Raven. Much to Beast Boy's displeasure.

The traveling itself took our two heroes across great rolling plains, through the burning sands of scorching hot deserts, and bone chilling nights. They had had a few close calls out on the plains, but fortunately they had managed to avoid the Justice League and made it safely to the Rocky Mountains where the amount of hero patrols dropped drastically because of the Summer rains.

Now... after all the travels they had endured… since it had been a couple days since they had last seen any other heroes...

"Wooooooohoooooooooo!"

Splat! Schhhhh…

Beast Boy slid onto the scene literally by way of a one inch thick wooden board down the side of a muddy downhill slope. "This is amazing!" He yelled. Bits of mud and falling raindrops pelted his laughing green face.

The scene was near a valley in the middle of the mountains. Great tall mountains towered all around. Parts of the hill Beast Boy was sliding down were muddy from the storm. The rest of the hill had trees dotting it. Thick storm clouds were gathered up above pounding the valley far below with their heavy drops of rain…

"Yeahhhhhh!..."

And of course, the rain was pelting our favorite crazy green idiot, who was yelling at the top of his lungs like a mountain man as he slid on a wooden sled like board he had cut from a tree. And not for the first time.

Beast Boy continued down one of the many paths he'd made on the muddy slope next to the hill's overflowing river. Time he and Raven had agreed to use to 'recuperate' from traveling and training.

"This is so much fun!" Beast Boy yelled.

He slid away from the river, and into the forest. He lifted one end of his board, and swerved past tree after tree. "Take that mother nature! I'm taking mud sledding to the next level!" Beast Boy yelled happily.

It looked more like his stupidity was being taken to another level.

After another moment, he slid past a dark black ethereal shield about a fourth of the way from the bottom of the slope at the edge of the forest. "Yeah!" He yelled as the rest of the path in front of him was straight mud.

The rain drops hit against, and slid off of the ethereal shield. So unlike the green nimrod who sped past, the occupant meditating underneath it was dry. Very, very dry.

"Azarath... Metrion... Zinthos... Azarath..."

Pbththth…

Raven floated underneath the shield in a cross legged position. She slowly chanted with the sound of pattering rain hitting against her shield.

"Woohoooooo!" Down below near the bottom of the slope, Beast Boy had stood up on his wooden board. Now he was treating it like he was either surfing down the rest of the slope, or making a new sport of mudboarding instead of snowboarding.

"Ah..." After a moment, Raven finished her meditation, and she set her feet on the ground. She looked calm as she exhaled, yet she also had a small miniscule smile on her face.

Down below, Beast Boy had petered out at the bottom of the slope. He slid on his board in a curve, and kept himself from going into the river since its course bent a small distance away from the bottom of the hill into his path. "Yeah! I finally did it! Attempt number 68 was a success dude!" Beast Boy yelled happily from down below.

Raven shook her head, but she was still smiling. 'Doofus. I'm surprised he hasn't faceplanted with any rocks or trees yet.' Raven thought amusedly to herself.

"Awhooooo..."

Raven looked back down at the bottom of the slope. A great green wolf was howling next to its wooden board up to her. She knew what it was he was asking for... for like the 67th time.

Without saying a word, Raven opened a portal under the wolf, and it and its board disappeared into the portal. She then looked back up to the top of the slope far above as the next portal opened there.

Splut!

Beast Boy and his board made a loud and nasty splut sound as they hit the downward slope. "Woohoo! Thanks again Rae!" Beast Boy yelled loudly over the sound of the storm after he immediately went to sliding down the muddy slope again.

Raven rolled her eyes to herself, but the smile didn't come off her face. She simply sat back on the ground.

'That was a good round of meditation there.' Raven thought to herself.

'It was. Even I feel really good right now.' Knowledge replied.

'Sigh...' All the other emoticlones seemed to be relaxing now inside her mind.

Raven stood for a moment more... and waited... and waited…

"Whoa whoa whoa whoa!" She heard in the forest behind her.

Crash!

'It only took 69 tries.' Raven thought amusedly. She walked back into the forest, with her dark ethereal shield following her and keeping her from getting wet. The other emoticlones in her mind giggled at the thought.

"Ugh... that one hurt." She heard a mumble up ahead.

'I bet it did. Idiocy usually hurts a little.' Raven thought amusedly in her mind.

'Hahaha! Good one!' Rude laughed in her mind.

Finally, Raven found Beast Boy. He was leaning against a tree, holding his head with one of his hands. The wood board was on the ground next to him.

"What happened?" Raven asked. Even though she already knew.

Beast Boy chuckled a little to himself. "I tried to see if I could surf down the slope like I did at the end, and I kind of lost control trying to swerve through the forest." Beast Boy said kind of embarrassedly. Though honestly, he should have said he was mudboarding down the slope. It sounded more realistic.

Raven rolled her eyes, and quickly checked him over. "You know, if you're just going to do idiotic things like this Gar, then I might reconsider wasting my energy to portal you back up the slope." She said dryly.

"Dude! I have to do some idiotic things once in a while! Otherwise people might think that I've grown up and matured or... or something!" Beast Boy complained.

Raven finished checking him out. She didn't find any noticeable injury on him. "You know, if I didn't portal you, you could get fit while being an idiot." Raven calmly said almost to herself.

Beast Boy laughed at that. "Aw dude, you wouldn't do that to me now. Not after how hard I worked in training with ya." He said as he got on his board.

"It could be payback for all the times you groaned and complained during it." She mentioned offhandedly.

Beast Boy rolled his eyes and ignored her comment. "Besides, it's kept me from bothering you too much today because of all the fun I'm having!" He said, before he took off back down the slope through the forest.

Raven shrugged to herself, and walked back down the forested slope to her original spot. 'I hope he doesn't keep standing on that board. After all, it's a lot harder to control where you go while you're standing.' She thought almost evilly to herself. Again, the emoticlones in her mind giggled as they saw what she was planning to do.

She got to the edge of the treeline after a moment. Sure enough, she saw Beast Boy standing on his board going down the last stretch of the hill. "Dude, I'm totally surfing on mud! Yeah!" Beast Boy yelled happily.

Raven calmly looked down, and took a deep breath. 'Are we really thinking of doing the same thing for once?' Rage asked almost in disbelief inside her mind.

'Oh yes. He's totally going to get it now.' She thought as she concentrated.

'Yes! Finally!' Rage yelled happily. 'She actually took my opinion over all of yours!'

'No fair.' Happy said with a pout.

'I wish she'd take my opinion for once.' Lust grumbled under her breath.

The other emoticlones weren't going to go there with her again.

Beast Boy was about to hit the bottom of the hill. "Woohoo!-"

Suddenly, he unexpectedly slid off the mud onto a flat black ethereal ramp. "Huh-" He started to say in confusion.

The end of the ramp curved upwards and sideways towards the river. If he had been lying down, he could have used the strength in his hands to push off the ramp just enough so he'd come off, do a sideflip, and land on the ground in time to veer away from the river. Since he was standing though, he had no control and went flying with his board sideways off the end of the ramp.

"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh-" He yelled as he flailed his limbs in the air. The thought to morph didn't come to mind until it was too late.

KaSploosh!

Beast Boy disappeared with a large splash into the water of the river. Raven sat back down onto the ground and pulled a book from her bag. 'Hmmm...' Raven hummed to herself in contentment. 'Things like this make me miss being surrounded by a bay.'

She had read a couple pages by the time Beast Boy came crawling out of the cold river at the bottom down below with his board. On the bright side, he wasn't muddy anymore.

"RAVEN!" He yelled. "You know that wasn't nice!"

Raven shrugged underneath her ethereal shield. "I'm sorry, what did I do Gar?" She asked innocently. If it hadn't been for Beast Boy's hearing, he wouldn't have picked it up from such a distance away.

"You know what you did Rae!" Beast Boy yelled indignantly.

Raven's smile turned into a smirk as she put her book up to her face. "Maybe you wouldn't fall into the river if you walked up the slope yourself Gar." Raven dryly suggested.

Beast Boy pouted down below. "Fine, I can get to the top of the hill by myself anyways dude!" He said almost childishly before he morphed into a wolf again. The wolf blew an immature raspberry in her direction, before it grabbed the board with its jaws and charged back up the muddy slope. Within a moment, it bounded past Raven's ethereal shield and continued on up into the forest.

Raven watched and chuckled to herself as the wolf bounded by. 'What a dork.' She thought.

Then she tried to focus on the book.

'Hmmm...'

After a moment, she decided to set the book back down. 'Actually, I'd rather not corrupt my mind with stories about shiny vampires falling in love with normal humans.' She thought as she threw the book back into her bag.

Raven then sat there for a few seconds more, looking down at her bag. Then she rested her head on one of her hands. 'What should I do now if I don't want to read?' She thought to herself.

'Nap.' Sloth suggested drowsily.

'Train!' Brave yelled.

'Read a book that doesn't talk about shiny vampires.' Knowledge said.

'Work on remembering how to say cuss words in demonic!' Rude yelled.

'Yeah, I like that idea!' Rage yelled.

'How about something less dark than that...' Raven thought.

'Peak at Garfield's drawing book?' Love suggested in an unsure voice.

Raven glanced at the tree beside her. Beast Boy had originally brought it out to draw with while they relaxed. But then he had left it in the dry spot underneath a large thick branch so he could do something 'more exciting and less boring' in his terms.

'I don't think that would be a good idea. It's his personal stuff there-' Raven was thinking.

'I know. How about we slide down the muddy hill with Beast Boy!' Happy yelled excitedly after a moment.

Raven was slightly surprised by the last suggestion. 'Wait, what?!' Raven thought.

'Actually, I change my mind, I'm down for doing that.' Brave said.

'Me too.' Rude said.

'Me three.' Rage surprisingly said.

'Me four.' Knowledge said.

'I'd enjoy it.' Love said.

'I'd enjoy it more if we were on the same board together.' Lust said.

'Eh. I guess we could nap while sliding down the muddy hill with B.' Sloth changed her suggestion.

Raven was surprised at each affirmative that came from her emoticlones. 'Why do you all want to do that? It sounds so stupid.' Raven thought.

'Because Garfield usually plays alone. We rarely join in when he's trying to have fun.' Timid finally broke the silence.

'Timid has a point. He usually forces us to start having fun with him. I think it'd be a welcome change if we joined in voluntarily this time.' Wisdom suggested.

'It would also show how much you've progressed in keeping your powers under your control while you try to express yourself.' Knowledge added.

'That does sound like a good idea...' Raven started to think.

'Yay!' Happy yelled excitedly.

'Go get him girl!' Brave cheered.

'Yeah. Let's freaking do it already!' Rude yelled.

'Wait! I need to think it through-' Raven tried to think.

'Just do it Raven. Otherwise they'll become even harder to control.' Knowledge suggested.

'There's no turning back now.' Rage said.

'You could nap in-' Sloth started to say.

Bam!

Sloth was knocked by a roundhouse kick from both Lust and Love. 'You are not ruining this opportunity for her.' They snapped quietly to the knocked out emoticlone.

'You know, I've always wondered what would happen if I got down to Gar's IQ level. Let's see what happens.' Raven thought as she smirked.

'Yeah!' The emoticlones in her mind cheered.

"Heh, huh, heh, huh."

Beast Boy, as a large green wolf, finally appeared at the top slope of the hill. The wooden board was hanging loosely from his panting mouth. He crawled, literally on his last legs, up the last few feet before the summit.

Thump.

He collapsed onto the muddy ground with a thud.

'I'm sooooooooo tireddddddddd...' Beast Boy whined to himself.

'Our mate was right. You need to complain less when you workout Master.' The Beast said in his mind.

The wolf panted heavily on the ground. 'Dude, I was getting workouts before. I feel like I just combined the Iron Man with a Triatholon!' Beast Boy thought.

'I don't know what either of those are, but they sound like puppy dog training to me.' The Beast responded.

The wolf stood up at last, and shook itself to remove most of the mud and water from it's pelt. 'Let's just say that it takes normal people all day to do them sometimes.' Beast Boy thought.

'And last time I checked, you were far from normal master.' The Beast replied in jest.

Beast Boy morphed back into himself and rolled his eyes. 'Anywho, I was mainly doing this to have fun. Running back up the hill kind of takes the fun out of it.' Beast Boy replied.

'Master, do you realize you sometimes think more like a pup than as an Alpha?' The Beast asked.

Beast Boy chuckled. 'All the time dude.' Beast Boy thought as he turned towards the muddy slope. He lifted his board off the ground, and smiled wickedly. 'Now, if you'll excuse me, I see a hill with my puppy dog name written all over-' He was thinking.

Shove! "Whoa!-" Splat!

Suddenly, without warning, Beast Boy was shoved face first down the muddy slope. The rest of his body had landed on the board, but his face took a mouthful of mud.

"Pbbbttthhhhh!" He spat out the mud that had gone into his mouth as he slid down the hill. 'Who the heck did that!?' He thought incredulously.

"Wheeeeee!"

Beast Boy looked up behind him at the unexpected sound. "PBBBTTTHHHH!" The rest of the mud that he hadn't gotten rid of came spewing out of it.

'I think we've found our answer master.' The Beast said almost giddily in his mind.

'What in the holy animal kingdom?!' Beast Boy thought incredulously.

Raven had forgone her cloak, and was sliding on another wooden board down the slope just a little ways behind Beast Boy. Her purple hair was already drenched from the rain. She was beginning to get caked in mud. Yet she had been the source of a sound no one would've ever thought in a million years would be capable of coming from her, especially in this kind of situation. It was like she had let her Happy emoticlone take her place.

"Rae!" Beast Boy snapped back to reality. "Did you seriously push me down the hill!?" Beast Boy complained.

"What? You were taking too long so I decided to help you out." Raven said giddily. A tone very much unusual for her.

Beast Boy found he couldn't stay angry at the situation. In fact he started to laugh. "Follow me dudette! It's time to ride the stupidity!" He said happily, before he brought his arms out in front of him and sped up drastically down the slope.

"Wait for me!" Raven replied, before she sped down behind Beast Boy.

From the air up above, it was like watching a race of sorts. With the two heroes speeding almost impossibly like bullets down the slope of the very long hill. The two zigzagged between all sorts of objects, trees, rocks, and each other's paths.

"Hey Rae, watch this!" Beast Boy yelled after they came out of the trees.

Beast Boy quickly stood up, and started to guide his board with his feet. Now it felt more like snowboarding down a slope. "Yeahhhhh!" He shouted happily.

"Woohooooo!"

Suddenly, Raven sped past him. She was standing on her board too, only she was going faster than he was. Much to his surprise.

"What?! Are you cheating Rae?!" He asked indignantly. It had taken him 48 of the previous 69 tries to figure out how to stand on his board without immediately crashing.

"Maybe. It depends on your use of the word." Raven quipped back to him. Her dark powers could be seen down below her board helping to balance her out.

Beast Boy merely laughed it off, and followed along behind Raven. Even though he couldn't see her face, he could see her drenched hair flying behind her. Her arms spread out wide, and the sounds of her laughter continually hitting his ears. He could tell that she was having a lot of fun in that moment.

'This, this is awesome dude.' He thought to himself.

'Ditto.'

After a little bit, the two hit the bottom of the hill. Then just as they were beginning to slow, Raven opened a portal for them both. The transition from the bottom back to the top was almost instantaneous.

"What happened to the workout going back up?" Beast Boy asked.

"Are you complaining that I brought you up with me?" Raven asked as she slid back till she was beside him.

Beast Boy quickly shook his head. "Nope, not one bit." He said, before lying back down on his board again. He had learned his lesson last time. "So, you having fun?" He asked.

Raven quickly laid back down on her board too as they sped even faster down the hill having the momentum they had gathered up down below before portaling back up to the top.

She was already soaked to the bone from the rain.

She felt mud under her uniform in places where mud shouldn't be.

She felt really exposed in just her leotard.

Yet nothing was covered in black. Nothing was blowing up. It was like... she was finally experiencing what freedom was like in that moment... and she was loving it.

'You know what, this is pretty fun.' Raven thought happily to herself. "Yes Gar! I'm having fun!" She admitted loudly and clearly for him.

Beast Boy let out a genuine laugh at that.

Beast Boy and Raven eventually weaved around the opposite sides of the same tree, and then converged on a wide trail he had made through the forest. Beast Boy was laughing gleefully, and Raven chuckled at the amount of fun she was having.

"So you do think being an idiot is fun then!?" Beast Boy asked gleefully next to her.

"Only in your dreams Gar." Raven replied sarcastically.

Beast Boy smirked. "How about I add to the idiocy that you're enjoying so much then." Beast Boy said as he angled his board.

Thump.

His body and board hit against Raven's like a go-cart and bounced off. Raven quickly grabbed her board and adjusted before she lost control. "Gar!" She said in complaint. "We're surrounded by trees!"

"What? I'm just adding to the fun!" Beast Boy said happily.

"You're adding to the stupidity of this idea!" Raven said back.

"Yes, and that's what makes it fun!" He toothily replied, as he prepared to ram her again.

Raven glanced at him as he prepared to come at her. 'So he wants to be an idiot, alright then.' She thought. She waited until just the right moment when he swerved to hit her again.

"Got ya-" He started to yell.

A portal opened on one side of Raven, and Beast Boy slid into it. Another portal opened on the other side of Raven, and Beast Boy came bursting out of it off the course.

"Aughhhhh!" Beast Boy yelled as he disappeared into the trees.

Raven chuckled to herself. "Dork." She said to herself.

'We might be more dirt than skin now. But hey, what does it matter if it's fun?' Rude said sarcastically in her mind.

'I don't care! I'm having a blast!' Happy said happily. She might seriously be making a request for a large muddy mountain to be added to her domain soon.

'I just want more action to happen.' Lust complained.

'Isn't this enough action?' Raven asked confusedly.

Love slapped a hand over Lust's mouth before she could speak. 'We meant more action like a surprise from Gar!' She quickly said.

'Speaking of him, I don't think I heard Gar collide with anything back there.' Knowledge said.

A cold feeling went down Raven's spine. 'You're right, and he doesn't give up that easily-' She was starting to think.

"Incoming!"

Raven turned her head to look to the side too late.

Woomp!

Beast Boy came right through a gap between two trees and slammed into Raven. "Augh!" Raven yelled in surprise as the force of the hit sent them both sprawling out of control out of the trees into the final stretch of the slope.

Her board and his were spinning out of control underneath them. The hit had disoriented her too much for her to be able to use her powers. "Gar!" She yelled angrily.

"Ahhhhh!" He screamed in fear.

Then, near the bottom of the slope, their two boards both went over a bump at the same time. The boards went spinning out from underneath them to the side. There was only enough time for them to look at each other.

'Uh oh.' Both of them thought at the same time.

"Oof! Rrgh! Ugh! Oof!"

The two of them hit the ground and flipped over and over down the muddy slope.

Pow!

Then the two collided with each other.

"Oof! Uff! Urgh! Ugh!"

The two stuck together as they continued down the muddy slope. It looked a lot like a frenzy of limbs between them.

Skkkkkkk…

Finally the two of them slid to a stop at the bottom of the muddy hill next to the river. The two of them were both disoriented from the total wipeout.

"Ughhhhh..." Both of them groaned at the same time.

'Dude... what's on me?...' Beast Boy thought before he slowly opened his eyes.

'Why does the ground feel soft beneath me?... I thought it was supposed to be harder.' Raven groaned in slight pain as she thought. Then she opened her eyes.

Both of them found themselves staring into each other's muddy faces. A look of surprise came over them.

Her hands were on both sides of his chest, and his hands were holding her sides near her armpits. Her body was pressed against his. Their faces were only inches apart.

'Um... um...' Raven didn't really know what to think.

'Um... uh...' Beast Boy didn't really know what to think either.

The Beast and Raven emoticlones waited almost breathlessly inside their minds.

'The same feeling... it's there again.' Raven thought, as her eyes looked at the fang poking out of his mouth.

'Should I... try to kiss her now?' Beast Boy thought.

'What if...' Raven started to think.

'Should I?...' Beast Boy started to think.

"Gar?" Raven finally asked.

"Yeah, Rae." Beast Boy replied nervously as he kept eye contact with her.

Raven felt a warm blush start to fill her cheeks. "Um... are you okay?" Raven asked. She felt her heart start beating faster and faster in her chest.

Beast Boy stared blankly up at her. He could feel her heartbeat through his uniform. 'Does she really...' He started to think.

"I... um... I-" He started to try and say.

'You want to rut with our mate master! You want to rut with our mate!' The Beast finally yelled impatiently in his mind.

"I- No! I'm not going to do that!" Beast Boy said loudly to himself.

'Did I just say that out loud dude?' Beast Boy thought.

Raven looked surprised, then confused... 'What is he talking about-' She was thinking.

Then she finally seemed to realize how close to him she was. And she could pick up trace amounts of emotion sifting into his emotional psyche. One of which she easily recognized. 'Wait, is he thinking of doing what I think he is!' She thought in shock.

Beast Boy was silent and shocked. He seemed to realize then that a part of him pressed up against Raven was very excited, and it was the very wrong time to be excited. He was seriously hoping she wasn't noticing. Not that his emotions enough weren't a dead give away of how aroused she was making him then. 'I'll just get Rae off me, and then I can hope that she doesn't-' He was starting to think as he tried to adjust where his hands were.

"Whoa!" Beast Boy yelled in surprise as he quickly disappeared into a hastily made portal. Raven closed it before she fell through it herself.

Raven got up off the ground. The ends of her mud covered hair quivered with dark ethereal energy because of the amount of anger she was holding back.

"How dare he! HOW DARE HE!" She shouted angrily as dark energy pulsed off her in waves.

The emoticlones looked at each other in her mind. 'That didn't go the way I expected.' Wisdom said in surprise.

'I don't think any of us were expecting that to happen.' Knowledge commented in a shocked voice.

'Um, are you sure you aren't doing anything Rage?' Brave asked.

Rage put her hands up in the air. 'I'm not doing anything. This is all her.' She said, actually sounding slightly afraid.

Raven gritted her teeth together as she hovered back up the slope. The rain, which had felt so soothing on her face just moments before, now felt like cold drops of ice to her soul that slowly washed away the mud that caked her body. "I can't believe him! After all we've been through! And he was thinking about sex at the bottom of a muddy hill! How despicable!" She yelled angrily.

'Maybe it wasn't that Raven. Maybe it was just something else-' Knowledge tried to say.

'You saw the emotions he was portraying from his psyche! And even without that he had a freaking bulge pressed against the bottom of my leotard! His hands were positioned on the sides of my chest! What else could he have been thinking about doing to me?!' Raven cut her off.

Crash! Crash! Thoom! Thoom!

A few trees up ahead were uprooted by Raven's powers, and they crashed to the ground.

'Raven! Control yourself!' Wisdom yelled.

Raven stopped in the air and took a deep breath. The dark ethereal energy dissipated from her hair, and then the other trees up ahead that had been covered in black became normal again.

Raven opened her eyes again and then continued on with a steely-eyed glare on her face.

Eventually, Raven got to her former spot at the edge of the treeline. Her bag was resting in its spot right next to her cloak. A part of the cloak had gotten loose from its spot because of the wind and was now dripping rain off it. Raven angrily clipped it back on and wrapped it around herself.

'I can't believe him. I literally can't believe him.' Raven thought more calmly, yet angrily.

'Raven. He did say he didn't want to do something.' Knowledge said calmly.

'Yeah, maybe he was fighting against his animal hormones... or maybe even his own Beast! It'd be like you fighting me from taking control and doing something we'd regret!' Rage surprisingly defended him.

'Please Rae, we were having so much fun there. You can't just let one innocent moment ruin it all!' Lust yelled.

'Yeah, you can't just hide from this problem!' Brave added.

'What if we really overreacted with him over nothing?' Timid voiced her concern aloud.

Raven was about to groan and accept their argument. She was also feeling slightly guilty about her outburst as well. 'Maybe it was nothing-' She was thinking.

Her thoughts stopped. She had just noticed something on the ground near her bag. Beast Boy's upside down and open drawing book. Now that she thought about it, he had been staring at one page on it before running off to go mud sliding. And before he ran off, he had had waves of lust coming off him… familiar to what she had felt at the bottom of the hill.

She picked it up and turned it over to see what he had last been on. The only visible reaction to how shocked she felt at what she saw was a slight widening of her eyes.

'Oh no…' Rage whispered to the others.

'It, can't be… he wouldn't.' Brave said in shock.

'Is that… really…' Timid started to say.

'U-U-Us?' Love stuttered fearfully.

Raven didn't want to believe it. She didn't want to believe her eyes. She knew that she felt something more for him than just being friends. But this, this… this crude drawing of her felt like a deep betrayal to her. The fact that he had even drawn this, the fact that he had viewed her like this, and kept it from her for… for...

That was the final nail in the coffin when she saw the timestamp he had written to the side with his signature next to it. She recognized the date instantly. After all, it had been the night after she had destroyed the world.

The only thing that showed how hurt she was was when the trees all around her were covered in black before destroying themselves.

'Why? Why would he do this?' She thought.

Boom…

Thunder was heard in the distance.

Raven pulled her hood over her head, and then numbly walked off through the storming woods. Heading back towards her little cube home. Her focus was too frazzled to protect herself from the falling rain. And sadly enough, the falling rain wasn't enough to disguise the tears that hit the ground.

Author's Notes:

Again, it's moments like this where I don't feel sorry about cutting it short. Also, I'm surprised people thought that the worst that could happen statement0 about Jason Todd being killed reinvigorating the other heroes into searching for them. You all know I barely like that character. No no no, this, this was what I had planned from the beginning. (Again, evilly chuckles to himself) And if you think we're out of the woods yet, well (repeats evil chuckling) think again.

Plus, I'm just going to add this. I've had Raven discovering that drawing in the plans since the chapter I wrote Beast Boy drawing it. It was just bound to happen eventually.

Till Next Time
