Chapter Sixty-One: Whatever Comes Next, This Ends HERE

"Hurgh! Urghhhhhh!"

Superboy blasted another large demon to pieces with one fist, then gritted his teeth tightly as he clutched his hands close to his chest.

A good portion of his shirt and pants were missing. What remained was mostly burnt or torn. His body wasn't in good shape either. His fists were covered in burns as well as parts of his body where he'd been hit. They ranged from minor to near third-degree.

He could hardly feel his fists at this point, which was a very bad sign. He was also limping on his right leg. Yet despite his injuries and the fact that he was surrounded by a constant furnace of demons, he was more worried about the others than himself right now.

Was M'gann alright? Had the Martian Manhunter gotten her to safety? Had… had any of his friends perished?

"Gurrgh." Another demon in front of him groaned as it charged at him.

Superboy grimaced as he brought one of his fists back.

Ksssssch!

But then, a blue sonic blast went through the demon's chest. It didn't even have the chance to scream before it crumpled to the ground in pieces.

"Yo, Connor, you look like you could use a hand!"

Superboy looked up, shocked, then smiling as Blue Beetle flew overhead. "Actually, make that two." Jaimes corrected himself as he brought his two arms together, forming a massive sonic cannon with them. "Eat this, you freaking psychos!"

KSCHHHHH!

The demons around Superboy were obliterated by the powerful sonic cannon blast the hero emitted. The demons were so blinded by the rage induced by Rage's spell from earlier though that they charged directly into it toward the two Heroes.

When the attack was over, there were no more demons in front of the pair. It wouldn't take long for more to fill the area Blue Beetle had cleansed, but at least the temperature noticeably dropped around Superboy.

"You couldn't have freaking done that a little earlier?" Superboy asked with a cocky smirk on his face.

"Hey, those attacks take a lot of juice. And it's kind of hard to focus when you have a voice in your head telling you to murder everything in a hundred-mile radius." The other Hero shot back.

"That's really weird man. Has anyone ever told you that before?" Superboy snarked.

He then cried out in pain as the pain in his hands really registered at that moment.

"What the- You idiot! Have you been using your fists against these guys this whole time?!" Jaimes asked in astonishment.

"D-Duh. Why wouldn't I?" Connor managed to respond.

"You- and to think I was joking when it looked like you needed a hand... urghhh, fine." Suddenly, the wings on his back came off. They molded themselves down into a pair of gauntlets before he put them on over Superboy's fists.

Connor grimaced at the contact, and they felt a little large to him, but they didn't feel too uncomfortable. And testing them against a nearby boulder, it didn't hurt nearly as bad punching with them. "You can make armor for others?"

"More like I shedded that off and gave it to you." Jaimes clarified. "It won't change or have any powers or anything. But that should be enough to protect your stupid fists from further harm for a while."

Superboy continued to grimace in pain, but gave his fellow Hero a thumbs up.

The next demons finally charged up to the pair, but Superboy met the one in front of him with a blow before it could hit him.

Pow!

It was blown into several pieces that slammed into its comrades.

While he still felt the heat of their bodies, his fists didn't hurt any more or less than before. So he wasn't burning them any further at the very least.

"Any idea how much longer we have to do this for?" Connor asked.

Kschhhhh!

Blue Beetle unleashed another sonic cannon blast. Destroying demons that were coming at them from the air. "Not sure. I saw Beast Boy and Raven dueling Klarion earlier."

"Great. At least she isn't fighting against us anymore." Superboy responded.

"But then Zatanna managed to get them into the Helmet and now she is facing off against Klarion right-"

His eyes drastically widened, and he grabbed Superboy and used jets in his feet to pull themselves back.

"Hey, what are you-"

KSCHHHHHHHH! KABOOM!

The army of demons before them was blasted away by a large beam of gold and red energy. It was far greater than what Jaimes had produced earlier. It also produced a large explosion deep inside the prison dimension that shook the ceiling of the real-world cavern.

The pair both looked to the side, where thanks to much of the battlefield being cleared they were finally able to see a part of the magic duel going down.

Zatanna was literally flying around in the air. As they watched, she drew a rune in the air in front of her while yelling out a backward chant.

Fire burst out of the ground around Klarion as lightning came crashing down upon him.

"Aha! Ahahahahaha!" However, with near shocking ease, the boy villain batted both of the magic attacks away from him. And then, he unleashed a torrent of his own chaos lightning toward the flying sorceress.

Her flight, whichever spell she'd used to accomplish it, helped her evade the attack. But then, Klarion was suddenly in front of her, backhanding her away with a powerful blow.

The two Heroes grimaced as the boy villain chased after her, only for their view to be clogged up by the army of demons once again.

"She doesn't stand a chance at beating him," Connor said.

"None of us stand a chance." Jaimes grimly replied.

Yet Superboy punched another demon away, and Blue Beetle blasted a group with a series of missiles that came out of his arms.

They didn't stand a chance. But they fought on anyway.

After all, like Zatanna, it was better to die trying than to die having done nothing.

"And I'm sorry to say, you are already too late, Garfield Mark Logan and Raven Roth."

...

As silence stretched between the two groups, Raven slowly looked over Nabu's outfit.

She hadn't noticed at first, but there were red streaks of light interwoven into the fabric. As she watched, several gold strands suddenly turned red before her eyes.

"T-Too late?" Beast Boy gasped out.

Nabu let out a sharp gasp and then closed his eyes again. He began breathing in and out deeply, and no other red strands appeared on his clothing for a few seconds.

But then, another one slowly began to appear near the cloth around his neck.

"I… apologize that I could not… personally welcome you to my realm." Nabu started speaking again, ignoring what Beast Boy had said. "Or at least, whatever remains of it. As you can see, it is taking everything in my power to hold that Boy back from complete control."

"Klarion's here?! Where?!" Beast Boy looked around angrily. He still wanted to kick his butt for kidnapping his girlfriend earlier. Biting his leg and arm wasn't nearly enough to satisfy him.

"He… is here." Nabu pointed to himself.

...

Beast Boy cocked his head in confusion. "Rae, this guy isn't making any sense…"

"I believe he means that Klarion is a part of him now," Raven muttered, albeit unsurely.

Yet, Nabu nodded his head, confirming that Raven was right. "When he put on the helmet, I was forced to absorb his essence into myself to try and restrain him. But his power continues to grow here and in the real world. Even now, Zatanna is barely able to stand against him."

"You can see what he's doing right now?" Raven asked.

"Yes. And I can hear his thoughts. His ambitions.

"He wishes to tear down Order through me, and thus subjugate this universe to his will." Nabu shook his head.

As he'd spoken, more streaks of red appeared on his clothing. It looked like a strange mix of gold and red that continued to slowly lean towards red.

"I'm not sure how long I can restrain him. But when I'm unable to anymore, then he will be able to unleash his full power on our world. No one will be able to stop him then. Not even you two."

"..." Beast Boy stayed silent for a moment, his face becoming more gaunt. "But... he's already so strong. He can't be that much more powerful, can he?"

"I'm afraid he can, king of the Beasts," Nabu answered him at last. "When it is said that Lords of Chaos are beings of unlimited power, it is the complete and utter truth. It is only because of Order that they are forced to follow rules that bind their limitless potential. When unbound, however, they are capable of anything and everything within their universe.

"Had Klarion been fighting at his full power already, the world would have been destroyed in seconds. And the rest of the universe would be collapsing in on itself at any moment.

"The new him would make his old self look like a little playground bully. Not even the other Lords of Order would be able to reign him in if the laws of our universe were-" Nabu gasped as he collapsed to the ground.

A giant streak of red appeared on the front of his clothing. Raven and Beast Boy immediately moved forward to help him stand again. He was still grimacing tightly though as more streaks of red appeared on his outfit.

"He'll have ultimate control of this universe. He wouldn't just hold the power of a God. He would be God. He could rewrite all the rules as he sees fit." Nabu spoke in a grave tone. "He could make suns blink out of existence. He could cause black holes to spew out their contents across the cosmos. He could make gravity push systems away instead of towards each other.

"In short, he could completely doom our universe and envelop everything in chaos once again." Nabu finished ominously.

...

Beast Boy sweatdropped.

It seemed almost completely unfair how the more he learned, the more he wished he hadn't.

"But he's not at full power now," Raven interjected. "You're still alive. Isn't there a way we can defeat him before that happens?"

"There is none that I know of." Nabu answered quietly.

Raven frowned. "Is there a way to separate him from the Helmet? I would have thought that the Lords of Order would have made a backup plan in case this kind of scenario happened."

Nabu's face turned hopeless. "There isn't any known record of a Lord of Order separating a Lord of Chaos from themselves. It is a scenario that is our worst nightmare, above even dying in our duty. For at least then another Lord of Order could be called in to take our place in this dimension."

"Dude, isn't there anything we can do?!" Beast Boy asked angrily, almost desperately. "We didn't go through everything that we did just to learn that it was all hopeless in the end! THERE HAS TO BE A WAY!"

...

...

...

"I am already doing what I can. Delaying the inevitable before Klarion assumes control." Nabu answered a bit harshly.

"No, I agree with Gar, there has to be some records on this at least!" Raven replied back heatedly.

They hadn't gone all this way and gone through so much crap these last few months being run through the gambit of Klarion's scheme only to learn the Witchboy had completely and utterly won in the final endgame!

...

...

...

...

...

There was an even longer pause as the half-demoness stared down one of the strongest Lords of Order to have ever lived.

At the end of it, Nabu sighed. "There are records… and my case shall be added to them after this. For just like them, I will be corrupted and become part of a Lord of Chaos, just like a lot of my fellow brothers and sisters.

"That is my fate now. There is nothing I know that can change it." Nabu answered with finality. "I'm sorry to say this, but your quest is in vain. This world... this universe, is doomed."

...

Beast Boy and Raven looked at each other.

More streaks of red appeared on his clothes. The man seemed to age before their eyes as he sagged. His clothing looked more red than gold now.

"The only thing you can do at this point... is escape," Nabu said next.

"But where?! If the whole universe is doomed, then-" Beast Boy began to yell.

"Raven can open portals to other dimensions, King of Beasts." Nabu interrupted. "If she opened one before Klarion took control, she could help as many people and heroes as possible to escape to another universe. The Lord of Order there would take them in."

...

"I thought people weren't allowed to cross into the multiverse," Raven said.

"This is one of the few exceptions where the Lords of Order allow for one to jump from one universe to live in another," Nabu stated tiredly. "It is better for a few to live than for an entire universe to die… and perhaps then, it could be a small act of comfort for the Lord of Order before he is consumed by his enemy and forced to turn against everything he held dear in his world."

Beast Boy looked from the hopeless Lord of Order to his girlfriend. His face was set in a frown. The same expression was reflected on her face.

"Raven, I don't want to run away again, I..." A helpless look appeared over his features.

There was his family with the Doom Patrol, of course. Doing this could save their lives. It could save the lives of all the Heroes fighting in the real world right now. Yet there were those they wouldn't be able to save. Those they couldn't reach in time before Nabu was consumed and life in the universe ended like a snuffed out flame.

A lot of bad people... but a lot of good people too. Their home would be destroyed, permanently. And at the end of it all, even if he and Raven were to live a happy life together in another world in another universe... he'd always be haunted by this moment. He'd be haunted by this decision that doomed trillions, if not quadrillions to die.

And... even if he did find it in another universe, he would never be able to go back to that site in the mountains. He'd never be able to see the place where he and Rae grew close. He'd never be able to go back to Titan's Tower ever again.

"I don't want to run away." Beast Boy pleaded in a whisper.

...

...

Raven took in a deep breath.

He could have asked her anything. He could have asked to ensure his family in the Doom Patrol got away safely. That all of their friends and loved ones, the good people they knew of, could be saved.

Yet he wanted to stay and fix this. To see if they could somehow still fight. He wanted to exhaust everything they had at their disposal before

Raven loved him for it. She was comforted that Beast Boy didn't want to give up, as right now, she didn't want to give up either. So with that in mind, she was better able to focus on herself and her emoticlones, going through thoughts and ideas one after the other rapid-fire trying to come up with a solution.

"Could we try locking him up in a prison dimension? Maybe there the universe won't be in danger." Wisdom suggested.

"That wouldn't work. The prison dimension would only be a temporary solution. And who's to say that Klarion wouldn't be able to rewrite the rules of the universe from within it after he subdued Nabu completely." Knowledge refuted.

"Good point." Wisdom admitted.

"Maybe we could try destroying Klarion while he's trapped in Nabu. Surely while they're in the process of merging his soul would be at its most vulnerable." Brave suggested next.

"No, absolutely not." Rage spoke next. "As bad as it would be for Order to disappear, it'd be almost as bad for the same thing to happen to Chaos.

"We're talking about the two things in the Universe that predate Creation. If Chaos were to disappear, who knows what'd happen to our world."

The other emoticlones grimaced but acknowledged Rage's point. They continued trying to come up with ideas.

"How about instead of a prison dimension, we put Klarion in another universe entirely? Maybe the Lord of Order there could face off against him." Love suggested.

"Impossible," Raven replied. "Lords of Chaos can't move between universes. And if they could, there wouldn't be a multi-verse left as the Lords of Order would fall to them like wheat to a sickle."

"Zatanna managed to freeze Klarion in time earlier, right?" Brave perked up. "Maybe we could do the same thing, only permanently!"

...

There was a pause as the emoticlones considered the idea.

"Doing a spell that drastic... might cost us our lives. And even then, there's no way to know if it'd be permanent or not." Rage replied after a moment.

Raven frowned deeply again. They continued their discussion with one another.

All of the ideas were being shot down one after the other. Raven threw out a couple herself.

Yet none of them seemed to have any plausibility of working… and time in the real world was running out.

Beast Boy gripped her hand in his. The action caused him to look into his eyes. Seeing the depths of their forest greens, the life burning within, the fear and rage of a thousand different animals that all wanted to burst out at the same time.

Yet they were also filled with deep kindness and empathy that filled her heart to the brim. The image of herself was reflected in his pupils.

Looking into his eyes, she could... could...

Almost see herself the way he saw her through them.

...

The passing thought which had made many of the emoticlones around her melt seemed to ignite something in Timid, who'd been silent up till that point.

"What… what if we use our soul self to go inside Nabu and separate him from Klarion ourselves?"

...

The silent emoticlones all looked to the gray-robed emoticlone that'd spoken.

"We went into Robin's body once before when he thought he was seeing Slade, right? We... were able to see things as he did. Feel what he was feeling. Maybe if Nabu allowed us, and maybe if we went a little deeper than before, we could separate Nabu and Klarion that way?" Timid spoke softly.

...

"I'm... I'm not sure it'd work." Timid said timidly, as the other emoticlones continued to stare at her in shock.

"Actually… if the merging is happening at the soul level. I believe it could be possible." Knowledge said, her eyes wide with disbelief.

Out of all of them, to have Timid come up with the idea that could possibly save them all!

"Ha, I knew you had it in you sis!" Brave cheered as she put an arm over Timid's shoulders. The action shocked her quite a bit.

"Just how long were you planning to hold out on us, eh?" Rude sarcastically snarked as she appeared on her other shoulder.

"This had better work, or I'll be blaming you for our deaths!" Rage said heatedly to the other emoticlone's face.

"Fuehhhhhhhh!" Timid loudly whimpered at the rush of attention she was getting.

Raven wasn't certain if it'd work or not. But it was better than anything else they'd come up with. And she was willing to try it.

"How about this..." Raven finally spoke in the real world, turning to Nabu again to voice her idea.

His outfit had turned almost completely red and his face was more pained than before. Yet he listened, and when she'd finished, his eyes went wide at the idea. "But, you'd be risking your own soul if you failed."

"Do we have any other choice?" Raven asked. She gave Beast Boy a hard look, preventing him from speaking up with any complaints he had about her risking her life for everyone.

The green boy wisely put his hands up and backed away a step. "Just don't be too reckless on me now, pretty mama." He said with a wide grin. "That might make me think I rubbed off on you even more than I'd thought."

Raven rolled her eyes at him, yet Nabu put a hand to his chin. "There has never been an instance of a Lord of Order being separated from a Lord of Chaos… … … but then, none of those cases had the half-demoness daughter of a demon overlord there to assist with a soul separation. Even Beings of Order aren't capable of going into another's very soul."

He began to chuckle for the first time since they met him.

It'd been a while since he could say he was genuinely surprised. But with Klarion at his weakest trying to take him over, perhaps there was a chance to force them apart before they merged completely…?

"Do I have permission to try then?" Raven asked.

"You may do what is necessary." Nabu got in a meditative stance again. "Your soul may enter mine. Just don't needlessly sacrifice yourself if it turns out to be impossible."

"Got it." Raven got in a meditative stance opposite him.

Beast Boy stepped up beside her. "So, mind filling me in on how crazy this idea is going to be?"

"It's crazy enough to definitely indicate that you rubbed off on me," Raven answered, giving him a slight smirk as she settled herself in the air.

Beast Boy stared at her for a second or two and then began to laugh at her joke. "Fair enough… just tell me what you need me to do then."

"... I want you to hold onto my body. Just in case." Raven said after a short pause. "I have no idea what'll happen next. But I'd rather my soul didn't have to fly too far to find my body again."

"Got it." Beast Boy transformed into the Beast again. And then, he positioned himself behind her body. Holding his large paws behind her protectively, ready to embrace her at a moment's notice should things go wrong.

As they often did for the pair.

Raven breathed in deeply. Hoping things wouldn't get that ugly…

Well, in this scenario, that might be a good thing. As it'd mean something was working.

Probably. Maybe.

"Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos."

Raven closed her eyes, and then, after speaking her familiar chant, her black soul self exited her body and entered Nabu's through his mouth.

...

At first, nothing happened.

...

Seconds passed.

...

...

...

And then a minute.

...

...

The two magic users hovered in the air. Still as statues. Not even their chests moved. The only movement came from the remaining gold threads slowly turning red, and the Beast's panting as his entire focus remained on the two of them.

Beast Boy had no idea what was going to happen. So he kept his mind blank, ready to react at a moment's notice. The Beast was similarly poised beside him in his mind. All the senses of the entire animal kingdom were shaking with anticipation and fear. And just a little bit of bloodlust.

There were no words exchanged. They would have only served as a distraction for the both of them.

After all, this boy had kidnapped their mate. He needed to pay for that.

The Beast was not going to let that go until it tasted blood.

...

...

...

Then, something finally happened. Like a switch being flipped.

Nabu's eyes shot open. One gold, one red.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" An inhuman scream came from his lips as a surge of red and gold energy came off his form.

The Beast's paws moved in front of Raven, protecting her body from the blast. When it struck him though, it felt like he was back in the other realm again. Being pulled apart from all directions by an entity older than time.

It was only through sheer willpower and grit worthy of the entire animal kingdom that he dug his paws into the ground, and kept a tight protective hold on his mate as the show before them continued to unfold.

Nabu continued to scream. The Beast bit down on his lip to prevent himself from screaming in pain. His ears pressed themselves to his head as the voice continued to get higher and higher and higher pitched.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH-!" And then, as Nabu's screaming reached its peak, the red strands that'd been appearing on his outfit stopped.

And then, rapidly, they began to fade back to gold.

After a few seconds, a bright gold glow began coming off Nabu's body once again.

"W-What's this!? What are you doing-" Another voice began to speak from Nabu's lips, but just as suddenly as it appeared, it was cut off.

His body continued to tremble, but, slowly, he began to stand to his full height. The red eye disappeared, being replaced with the familiar purple shade Beast Boy and the Beast loved so much.

Mate had done it.

She'd accomplished the impossible.

"In the name of the daughter of Trigon," Raven spoke.

"And in the name of Order, the great one himself," Nabu spoke next.

"WE DEMAND YOU TO DEPART, KLARION THE WITCHBOY!" Their voices announced at the same time.

The glow coming off Nabu became brighter.

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

A scream came along with it. But… it didn't sound like Nabu's screaming this time.

This sounded far more nasally, and far less menacing.

Beast Boy didn't have much time to ponder this though, as all of a sudden, the glow completely disappeared from around Nabu, before they were all engulfed in a bright explosion of power.

KABOOM!

"Urgh…"

Beast Boy opened his eyes in his human form.

He was looking up at an empty sky. And something soft was resting in his arms.

"Urgh… Gar?"

"Ah, Rae." Beast Boy smiled tiredly.

The two of them sat up, holding onto each other. Looking around, they found themselves back in the area where the portal had been before.

Only, it looked completely different.

For one, the portal was gone. There was no swirling mass of gold energy to teleport them deeper into Nabu's consciousness or anything.

Though, there was still a glow coming off the area. This time, however, it was because Nabu himself was standing there.

He was decked in full golden robes again. And power radiated off his form.

There was also no pull of chaos anymore. Looking out in the distance, the two saw it was because the storms of chaos had pulled far back from the island.

There was still a slight tug, but it was barely noticeable. They were too far away to do any meaningful damage to the landscape or to them.

"Does… that mean it's over?" Beast Boy asked hopefully.

He could hope it was all over. But when Nabu and Raven both shook their heads, he didn't groan as he'd expected.

Perhaps he'd just been beaten with so many of these cliffs that he'd just become numb to the thought of the problem not going away for another chapter or two yet again.

Or, maybe it was because he'd spotted the red-robed individual with his head stuck in the ground like an ostrich right after asking his question. And the comedy of it was enough to hold his disappointment back.

Nabu sighed as Beast Boy helped his girlfriend stand up. The man fell to one knee tiredly. But when he examined himself, he couldn't see a trace of Klarion left in him.

"It worked. I almost can't believe it." He muttered to himself. If they survived what came next… this could be invaluable to the other Lords of Order.

He wouldn't have to lose any of his brothers or sisters again. Maybe, there'd even be a chance of saving those who'd been consumed before?

...

There wasn't time for any other thoughts, as Klarion finally pulled his head out of the ground. Spitting the rocks from his mouth like he was spitting sand.

"N-No fair! I was about to take the old fool over! Why'd you maggots have to go and do that to me!?"

"You're… not taking over anything anymore." Nabu slowly stood back up again, taking on a defensive stance. The gold energy coming off his form centered on his hands.

Beast Boy got on one side, and Raven on the other. Beast Boy had transformed into a wolf, and Raven's eyes were glowing as her ethereal energy wrapped around her arms. She levitated into the air, only serving to make her look cooler at that moment. Klarion scowled at the scene of resistance before him.

"You think this means anything? I'm the wearer of this helmet, I dictate how things go from now on! I… I… … …" A frown slowly grew on his face, which then turned into a frustrated snarl.

"Why? WHY CAN'T I SEE ANY OF WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD?! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

Their eyes all narrowed in confusion, but Nabu seemed to see something that they couldn't. "She cut him off from what's transpiring inside here."

"... what?" Beast Boy asked confusedly.

For once, Nabu smiled. It appeared that Zatanna was even more talented than even he had realized.

He should have noticed it before, but hadn't because of the pain blinding him. Now that he was free of it, however, things made perfect sense.

"Let me put it simply. Right now, the Klarion in the real world has no idea what's going on inside the Helmet of Nabu. While I have no idea what to call the being we see in front of us right now, whether it is his mind, his consciousness, or a manifestation of what he put inside the helmet to subdue me matters not.

"What truly matters is that all we have to do is defeat this part of him, and I'll have control of the Helmet again."

"I'll be able to force the Witchboy in the real world to take it off."

Beast Boy grinned widely as a wolf. "I still didn't understand all of it, but I can definitely get behind that last part since that'll mean complete and utter victory for us!"

"Same here," Raven said monotonously, a predatory grin on her face.

Klarion growled angrily, and then he began to grow before their eyes.

Where a kid had been standing just a few seconds ago, now stood a giant that was at least over fifty feet tall. A red flash of energy shined in his right hand whilst a golden flash of energy appeared on his left arm. When the lights faded, he was revealed to be wielding a red chaos sword and a shield of order.

"That damn bitch might have interfered with me being able to bring my full might down upon you! But I am still the bearer of this helmet! And it is my rules that you have to follow here! I will not just roll over and let you defeat my grand ambitions THAT easily!"

"I'm afraid I can't allow that to happen." Nabu hovered off the ground. With the two young Heroes at his sides having managed the impossible to get here and do what he thought to be impossible, and with Zatanna herself having accomplished something else that was impossible, he felt motivated to take on the impossible once again.

They were not only going to beat Klarion. But they were going to get Doctor Fate's helmet off his head so he'd go back to being the pathetic snotty boy that he was. One that would be unable to threaten their universe on his own ever again.

"We will defeat you, no matter what," Nabu spoke determinedly. "We will fight you to the bitter end.

"Whatever comes next, this ends here!"

"Bring it on, old man! I'll enjoy crushing the last of your futile resistance before I consume you entirely!"

And with that, the battle of Armageddon and for the fate of the entire Universe started on the plains of Order within the Helmet of Nabu.

Author's Notes:

You know, I haven't seen the Black Adam movie yet, nor have I seen the rest of Season Three or Season Four of Young Justice. I should probably watch those shows at some point, but needless to say... I'm kind of just making all of this up as I go.

See you all again real soon.

Till Next Time
