Levi had finished tidying her apartment and took a seat on the sofa while tapping the space next to her.

"Take a seat" she smiled. "Let's talk."

Arizona took a seat next to her and moved a few inches closer.

"What happened? Are you okay?" Arizona asked grabbing hold of Levi's hand.

"Yerh I'm fine. Just a little panic attack. Maybe I shouldn't walk the long way home anymore" chuckled Levi.

"I'm glad you're okay, I was worried."

"I'm alive, see." Levi said while placing Arizonas hand on her heart.

"That's a strong heartbeat" laughed Arizona.

"That might have something to do with you" flirted Levi.

"Oh shut up!"

"I'm not lying" cackled Levi.

This felt nice. Just sitting and laughing with Arizona. Levi hadn't had this in so long and she missed it.

"I miss this. I miss you" Levi said.

"Ditto" Arizona said with a smile.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Anything" replied Arizona.

"You've got to be honest."

"Go on…"

Levi took a deep breathe. "Do you really not trust me?"

"No." Arizona paused.

"No as in no you don't trust me or?" Asked Levi nervously.

"No as in No I was lying. I do trust you but I don't know if I should trust myself and believe that I can..does that make sense?" Arizona said scrunching her nose.

"Total sense. I get it." Levi softly nodded.

Levi felt relief from that answer. She was scared that Arizona would completely call her out and just not be willing to talk but they where finally having the grown up conversation they needed. If they where ever going to sort out whatever they needed to, they needed to be honest.

"My turn" Arizona stated turning to face Levi.

"Hit me." Levi said with a wink.

"Do you think we could be just friends?" Arizona asked.

Levi's smile disappeared. "Urm..I..I.." she couldn't answer. She was just stumbling over her words she didn't think this would be the question and she didn't have a response.

"Be honest." Arizona said as she nudged Levi.

"I don't know. I feel like…maybe. I feel that I would still flirt and I know you definitely would and I think that could just be mixed signals so honestly, no. I think if we hadn't gone there and just stayed friends in the beginning then potentially but definitely not now."

"Right, okay…that's fair." Arizona nodded in agreement.

"Why'd you ask?"

"Curiosity." Arizona smiled.

"Bullshit" laughed Levi.

"Okay, well I just think we need to test the waters, Yano. I think we should try be friends, just friends and if something becomes of that then it does." Explained Arizona.

"So what you're saying is, we should be friends but if something happens then it happens?" Asked Levi tilting her head.

"Yes exactly."

"Right…I give it 48hrs" smirked Levi.

"Very sure of yourself aren't you?" Arizona said hitting Levi lightly on the arm.

"You can't resist this" Levi said while flipping her ponytail.

They both erupted into laughter and Levi stood up and made her way to the fridge. "Beer?"

"I've got to get back to the hospital, you know some of us have work to do. Plus I don't think us getting drunk together on our first night of friendship is a good idea"

"You spoil all the fun" Levi said while cracking open her beer and taking a swig. "Well, I shall see you tomorrow at work, friend."

"See you tomorrow." Arizona said while grabbing her bag and walking out the door.

Levi just stood smiling to herself for a while. She felt content. She felt like this whole friends thing was a great idea. She knew they couldn't be just friends but if it was going to bring them back together she'd try anything. Plus she still got to flirt with her and although it wasn't a test or a game, Levi felt like it was and she was competitive and didn't like losing. If Arizona wanted a friend, a friend she would get. A flirty, sexy friend. Levi felt confident for the first time in forever and she couldn't wait to start their new 'friendship'.
