A couple of hours had past and Arizona still hadn't messaged. Levi knew she deserved the silent treatment as much as anyone but she couldn't stand it. She needed to know how Arizona felt and what her thought process was. She needed to see her but she hadn't left the house since the shooting. She still felt a bit shaken from what happened but nothing was going to get in her way so she grabbed her coat and keys and made her way to the hospital.

As she arrived she was greeted by a concerned looking Meredith.

"Levi! What the hell are you doing here?"

"Is Arizona here?" Levi asked.

"Yes, she's in a surgery, what's the matter?" Asked Meredith.

Levi started to make her way down the corridor shouting back at Meredith.

"Nothing, I just wanted to surprise her. I'll wait"

Levi made it to the on call room where Arizona would always come for a power nap in between surgeries. It was her favourite room and you could see why. It was very colourful and peaceful. Very Arizona.

Levi's whole body was aching from the walk to the hospital, it was the furthest she'd walked in what seemed like forever and it really took it out of her. She rested her head on the pillow and before she knew it she was out cold.

"Levi" whispered Arizona while gently nudging her.

"Hmm" mumbled Levi while opening one eye. "Oh shit!" Levi shot up not realising she had fell asleep. "Sorry, I only put my head down for a second."

"I think I heard you before I saw you" laughed Arizona while taking a seat at the end of Levi's feet.

"Was I snoring?"

"Yep, very loudly" smirked Arizona.

"Oh god. Sorry." Levi blushed.

"Are you okay?" Asked Arizona. "Are you sore?"

"A little. I really need to take my rehabilitation a lot more serious. That walk killed me off"

"You shouldn't of came here. You need the rest, clearly."

"I know, but I needed to see you. I needed to explain."

"It's fine. Levi, I get it. I totally get it. Remember I've been you before."

"What do you mean?" Asked Levi looking confused.

"I've been that person who thinks the world is against you. The person who takes all their struggles out on those close to them and then one person comes along who treats you different and then boom you do something stupid that you can't take back and ruin something special. I get it. I did that with Callie and I know how bad I felt after it and how sorry I was, but I also know that sometimes sorry isn't enough." Explained Arizona.

"Nothing happened" Levi said while grabbing hold of Arizonas hands.

"But it almost happened and can you honestly sit here and tell

Me if April didn't turn up when she did that you wouldn't of followed through with it?"

"I don't know."

"Exactly."

"But it didn't happen. I don't want Sarah, I never have. It's you, it's always been you." Cried Levi.

"If it's always been me you wouldn't of even thought about kissing her Levi but you did and I just can't get that out of my head." Arizona stood up, wiping tears away. "I can't do this. I think-"

"Don't. Don't say it. I'll give you space but don't end this right now. I'll give you space and we can just put on the breaks but don't say it's over. Let's just take a break?" Begged Levi.

Arizona laughed and turned around to face Levi.

"How do you do that? Still make me laugh even when all I want to do is hate you. 'Take a break' we aren't Ross and Rachel" smirked Arizona.

"I have my ways" winked Levi. "But seriously, I'll give you all the space you need and when you're ready we can talk and if you still feel the same then I won't stand in your way but let's just give it a try."

"Okay" agreed Arizona. "Space it is."

Levi nodded and headed for the door.

"Goodnight, I hope the rest of your shift isn't too stressful "

"Night Levi."

And with that Levi left and made her way home trying hard not to cry and be that cliché girl in a movie, walking down the street trying to hide her tears from people passing by. She really didn't want space, she wanted to hold onto Arizona forever but it was either that or it would be over and space is always better than over.
