A.N. Hey folks, Blue Tagg here with the second chapter of my story. Here is where Nick and Judy find out about the lioness.

After the ZPD managed to bathe Gordan, they returned to the Precinct. The officers were talking about what happened.
"Look at us," Judy said. "Police officers called in, just to get a warthog to take a bath."
"Oh, how the mighty have fallen," Nick joked.
"Seriously though," Bogo said. "His stench was so bad, could knock out Savannah Central."
"Even though, there haven't been any serious crimes as of late," Nick pointed out.
"We can thank you two for that," Officer Francine Pennington said as she approached them. "Your teamwork is what keeps prisoners at bay."
Nick and Judy looked at each other with pride.
"Still, there's been a few fights, but that's it." Nick pointed out.
"Well, there appears to be another one," Officer Clawhauser said as he approached them. "Major disturbance in uptown Savannah Central."
"Hopps, Wilde, you two can take care of that," Bogo recommended.
"Come on Carrots," Nick said to his partner. "Let's make the world a better place."
Nick then held up his fist for a fist bump, which Judy happily gave. The two left the building and headed towards their cruiser, leaving Bogo, Pennington and Clawhauser.
"Those two are a good team," Bogo pointed out.
"And an even cuter couple," Pennington pointed out.
"What did Hopps say about the C word," Bogo asked Pennington, much to her embarrassment.
In Savannah Central, Judy was driving the cruiser down to their assignment, with Nick in the passenger seat.
"So, what's the deal?" Nick asked his partner.
"Two mammals were going at it at Jumbeaux's Café," Judy explained.
"Jumbeaux, the very place we first met," Nick recalled.
"Yeah, where you conned me out of $20," Judy remembered, which made Nick shrink.
"I gave it back, remember," Nick pointed out, which made Judy chuckle and roll her eyes.
"Anyway, after our shift is over, want to get Chinese?" Nick asked.
"Sounds good," Judy agreed with her boyfriend.
The duo then arrived at Jumbeaux's Café. The two went inside and they saw that it looked like there was a fight there. The customers were just standing there, shocked at what happened.
"Whoa," Nick said as they walked to the front desk, where Jerry Jumbeaux Jr was standing.
"Well, look what the fox dragged in," Jerry said as he saw Nick Wilde. "Can't believe they allowed you to be a cop."
"Nice to see you too, Jerry," Nick retorted at the elephant.
"Let's get back to what happened here," Judy suggested before the argument could continue.
"I can fill you in," a voice said. They turned to see a 15-year-old female elephant wearing a blue t-shirt, and a green skirt. "The two elephants that caused a ruckus here were my brothers."
"Okay, what's the reason for this, Miss…?" Judy asked the elephant.
"Stommp. Tasha Stommp," Tasha introduced herself. "Me and my big brothers, Deacon and Gabriel, came here for ice cream like we usually do when they're home. I went to the bathroom. Then I hear some commotion and when I came out, they were fighting. But then some lioness came and said some words which made them stop, then they went off with her."
"Did you know what they were arguing about?" Judy asked, which made Tash shrug.
"I can tell you," Jerry said as they turned to him. "It was over that same lioness, that beautiful lioness..."
Jerry stopped and shook his head, as he continued.
"Anyway, the lioness accidentally bumped into them. Then the two elephants started to argue, which then turned into a downright brawl," Jerry explained as he gestured to the mess of the café.
"Sounds like they were fighting for her affection," Nick suggested as they wrote it all down.
"But Deacon has a wife he loves so much, he would never cheat on her," Tasha explained. "And Gabriel prefers men. Plus, they'd always work out their issues without fighting. There's no way either of them would just fight over some random girl out of the blue."
"Could you give us a description of the lioness?" Nick asked.
"Well, she had golden fur and blue eyes. And wearing a red sleeveless dress," Tasha described from her memory.
"I remember that lioness," a voice said from behind them.
They turned to see Stephanie Stalkinew behind them.
"Stephanie Stalkinew?" Judy said as she saw her.
"Hey Officer Hopps," Stephanie greeted as she approached them.
"So, you know that lioness?" Nick asked her.
"How can I not," Stephanie said as she began explaining. "Just the other night, me and my husband, Pedro, were walking home from the opera with our friends, Justin and Millie Deac. But then we found that same lioness on the ground. When Pedro helped her up, he began to act infatuated with her. When Justin tried to talk to him, he pushed him aside. Then that lioness got close to him and he began to go gaga over her as well. Our husbands then just pushed us aside and went off with her."
The two officers looked at each other and then turned to Stephanie.
"So, you and Millie's husbands just gave up on you two like that? For no reason?" Judy asked.
"Yes. I just don't understand," Stephanie said as she began to tear up, which made Tasha put her trunk on her shoulder for comfort. "My Pedro and I never had a huge fight before. A few disagreements, but nothing major. And neither did Millie and Justin."
"We're sorry Stephanie," Judy said to her as she patted her leg.
"Yeah, must be awful to lose your loved one to someone out of the blue like that," Nick said, which caused Judy to glare at him. Just then Jerry Jumbeaux spoke.
"You know, now that I think about it, I did notice something about the lioness," Jerry said as everyone turned to him. "When she was talking to the boys, I could've sworn for a moment, her eyes glowed green. Those beautiful, radiant…"
"Her eyes glowed green?" Judy interrupted him, which snapped Jerry out of it.
"Yes, just for a moment before the boys started going gaga over her," Jerry explained.
"Now that I think about it," Stephanie said remembering. "When Pedro helped her up, his eyes glowed green for an instant."
Hearing those got Nick and Judy thinking.
"Carrots, I don't know about you. But I bet there's more going on here," Nick suggested.
"Your right Nick," Judy agreed. She then turned to Jerry. "Is it all right if we check the security footage of how this went down?"
"Very well officer," Jerry said.
"And could you tell us where this happened when your husband left with that lioness?" Nick asked Stephanie.
"Near the opera house in Savannah Central," Stephanie told them.
A.N. And that was chapter 2. So, Nick and Judy have a new case, but can they crack it?
As for chapters, I'll try to release two per month at least, but bear with me, because I'm working on something bigger.
Hope you enjoyed it.
