A.N. Hello readers and I want to apologise for the 18 months wait. It's just that I've been busy writing other stories and I've kind of lost interest in writing this story. Again I apologise.

Judy was kneeling next to Nick as he started to come to. He was waking up all groggily.

"Ugh, what happened," Nick was asking as he saw his partner. "Carrots?"

"Nick!" Judy said as she gave him a big kiss, then wrapped her arms around him.

"Carrots, what happened? Last thing I remember we were attempting to arrest Gladys and all of a sudden…" Nick was saying, but then he realised. "Wait, how do I know her name?"

"Nick, there is a lot to explain, but first we must meet up with the others," Judy grabbed Nick's paw and dragged him towards the other female officers.

Bogo was being helped up by Theresa while Francine was helping Clawhauser.

"What happened?" Bogo asked.

"Did I have too many doughnuts and passed out again?" Clawhauser said as he was coming too.

"Worse than that," Francine said to them.

Just then, Tina and Jemma then approached the officers.

"Everyone all right?" Jemma asked.

"Yes, it seems that the guys managed to anger the love out of their brains," Theresa explained.

"You angered the what now?" Bogo asked in confusion.

"Well, that's the good news…" Jemma said.

"Bad news is my sister got away, along with the diamond confiscated from Finnigan Foxington," Tina explained. "And some stolen jewellery from earlier."

"Finnick's here?" Nick asked.

"There's a lot to catch you up on," Judy said.

Soon the ladies led the three officer men and Finnick to a meeting room and told them about everything. Then men were given cups of coffee.

"Okay, that is disturbing to hear," Nick admitted as he drank his coffee from a mug.

"I stole for that witch?" Bogo asked in surprise.

"I can't believe I let that lioness hypnotise me," Finnick said with bitterness.

"I can't believe you got an 'I heart Gladys' Tattoo on your stomach," Nick said, which caused the little fox to get angry.

"Oh, I'll give you a…" Finnick angrily said, ready to pounce, until a voice stopped him.

"All right that's enough of your episode," Chief Lontrun said as she entered the room.

"Abi," Bogo said as he saw his old friend. He then walked up to her and hugged her.

"Glad to have you back Andrew," Lontrun said as she hugged him.

"I'm still reeling in from all this," Bogo said.

"We all are," Nick added.

"Did I say mean things about Gazelle?" Clawhouser said with horror.

"Don't blame yourself, you were under Gladys' influence," Francine said, trying to cheer up the chubby cheetah.

"But still…" Nick said, shuddering at the thought.

"Okay, so you guys are back now. But what about Gladys?" Tina asked.

"Yeah, she's still out there somewhere," Judy pointed out.

"And still has, probably thousands of men under her control," Pennington added.

"Can't you just do the same thing that snapped us out of it?" Nick asked.

"We got you to snap out of it by getting you angry, causing your body to release adrenalin into your system. Thus, interrupting the signal between your brains and Gladys," Tina explained.

"I don't think getting all of her thralls angry won't do much of a dent," Judy inquired.

"So, what do we do?" Bogo asked.

"We go after her directly," Jemma said as she approached.

"Miss Reddin," Bogo discreetly greeted her, still having doubts about her criminal past.

"Do have a plan inquired, Jemma?" Lontrun asked the red panda.

"Well, just a theory," Jemma said as she took a seat. "Okay, during the escape just now, Gladys fell and badly hurt her arm."

"Yes, I know that. I was there," Lontrun pointed out.

"Yes, but I've had someone spy drone on her. At a safe distance so it wouldn't short out by Gladys' energy," Jemma revealed as she opened her laptop and looked at the video footage. It showed Gladys holding her injured arm as a panda approached her with a needle, but Gladys refused. "See here, she controlled a doctor to heal her up. And get this, he was going to give her local anaesthesia. But she refused it. She would rather feel more pain than knock herself out to ease the pain. Why would she do that?"

The group then caught on to what she was trying to say. Well, almost the whole group.

"Maybe she doesn't like needles," Nick suggested.

"No, she's never had a problem with injections growing up," Tina explained. "So, it must be something else."

"She likes the feel of pain?" Clawhauser innocently asked.

"No, she didn't want sedation because…" Tina began to realise. "The anaesthesia would've numbed the area, temporarily disconnecting the connection between her arm, the nerves, to her brain. Her powers act as they will in her brain and body. But if any part of her brain shuts down, it would weaken her powers."

"So, if we get her fully knocked out…" Francine realised.

"Her powers would shut down and the men would return to normal!" Tina explained excitingly.

The group looked at each other with excitement. They realised Gladys' weakness.

"So, we need to inject her with anaesthesia," Chief Lontrun summarised. "But we need to find her and administer it to her."

"We also need to get through her army of men," Judy pointed out.

"Not if they don't know who you are," Jemma pointed out. Soon they began to plan.

A.N. And that was the ninth chapter folks. I know it's short, but after 18 months, it's better than nothing.

I hope you enjoyed it. Hope the next chapter doesn't take that long.
