Chapter 31 is here! Apologies for the long wait, but I hope the long chapter will make up for it! Now you'll see how the final exams will go, and who exactly Mob will be partnered with!

After the dramatic exit, Mob could feel his thumping heart begin to slow down and reset back to a regular pace. This time, instead of taking the train, Mob took the faster route and simply flew home in a matter of seconds after working out his travel time on his phone.

The young teenager's aura died down as he approached the balcony of the apartment. As it happened, the number one hero was reclining outside on the balcony, staring out into the ocean with his legs kicked out and his arms resting calmly behind his head. He was wearing a plain white t-shirt and some black running shorts, simple attire for exercise. When he saw the esper drop down onto the balcony, he moved his body forward.

"Kageyama, you usually don't fly home. Everything go alright?"

Just when his heartbeat started to return to a normal pace, All Might brought it back to the beat of a drum. "Y-y-yea!"

"You sure?" asked All Might, his eyebrow furrowing upward. Mob's only response was to nod his head up and down. The number one hero still stood confused for a few more seconds, but decided to dismiss it. After all, it was late, and they didn't have any time to dawdle.

"Well, I've been waiting for you to get back so we could get some last-minute sparring in for the day before your big exam. You know, get your blood pumping! Since the moon's got a pretty bright glare tonight, it'll let us see each other as we spar. Now come on! Use your psychic powers to fly us both there"

The esper nodded, and both sparring partners were surrounded by Mob's aura as they went high up into the sky, out of the sight of civilians, and the two of them made it to their destination in no time at all. Upon landing down, the two of them decided to do some basic stretching before getting down to business. When the two of them finished their stretches, All Might slyly grinned and took a fighting pose.

"Hope you've been hitting the books with young Yaoyorozu, because now you'll have to be hitting me." The number one hero was hoping this witty joke would elicit a laugh from the esper, but the only thing he managed to get was a very small smile.

"Oh come on! That was a good one!"

"No, it was," replied Shigeo.

"You're a tough nut to crack, aren't you, Kageyama? Well one of these days, I'll get a laugh out of you, and it'll be glorious." Toshinori buffed up his body and lunged forward to initiate the first strike. This time, instead of blocking with a barrier, the esper caught the punch with his hand, the impact creating a large crater beneath them. The hero smirked, then followed with a barrage of punches that continued to destroy the terrain around them. Unlike their first fight, the esper was actually doing a much better job of anticipating and reacting to those punches with a combination of dodging and blocking.

However, the esper still had a long way to go: after only a few seconds of the exchange, All Might smacked Shigeo's hand away, leaving him open to land a strong right jab to the face. Mob was blown away and barely had enough time to react to All Might's follow-up attack. The hero clamped his hands together and slammed down, though the teenager raised both of his arms to block the attack. The ground beneath them completely ruptured, and the two fighters felt the tremors quake beneath them. Seeing his body open, the esper took action, stepping back slightly and delivering a fierce right kick to the hero's stomach. As the hero was sent flying back, the esper followed up and threw a right jab. Whereas before, he would just randomly throw punches, Mob was now more variable and meticulous with his strikes, switching between jabs, hooks and uppercuts.

The number one hero was able to pick up on this and let out a bark of laughter. "Not bad, Kageyama!" All Might grabbed the teenager's fist then swung his body above his head before sending him crashing down into the ground. The hero then shot downward with his fist primed for action.

"Detroit Smash!"

Toshinori unleashed one of his super moves onto his opponent, who retaliated with a punch of his own. A massive shockwave was unleashed, fracturing the rocks around them and creating great tremors that reverberated throughout the barren wasteland. The hero had decided to up his power level to make things more serious, but he was soon going to find that he'd taken things a bit too highly. The esper felt a searing pain go through his right arm, and blood spattered around him.

"Kageyama!" The hero instantly stopped the sparring match and took a close look at Mob's arm, which had blood dripping down on multiple sides. Shigeo placed his hand around his arm, feeling out where the injury was and how bad the damage was. The psychic moaned in pain when he found the spot in the middle of his forearm, which was beginning to swell up in purple.

"I think it's a break in my right radius," said Mob.

"That bad? I didn't think my super move could do that much damage to you."

"Don't worry, All Might. This is actually some good training for me. I can just heal it." The teenager placed his left hand on his right radius and began channeling his energy into the wound, imagining the bone repairing itself in his mind. Within less than ten seconds, the swelling had disappeared, and the teenager stretched his hand out while moving his fingers. "There we go. Good as new."

The hero wiped his brow in relief and sat down on the unstable terrain. "Even though it was short, I could still see improvement. You're learning how to properly dodge and counter attacks, and your moves are starting to become less predictable. You still have a long way to go, but put the same kind of effort you do into your exercise, and I have no doubt you'll be an expert fighter."

What great news for the teenager. It was great to see that things were progressing so well for him: he's gotten very proficient with healing, he'd learned plenty with Yaoyorozu, he'd strengthened his body with the new Body Improvement Club, and he'd made many new friendships. Just as long as he could pass this final exam, he could go with the rest of the class to the training camp, and they could all have a great time together.

The esper wasn't the only one who was putting his heart into preparing for the final exam. Sitting alone in his dimply-lit room, Izuku was going over notes for his class while using a grip strengthener to get as much exercise as possible, even when studying. Like everyone else in the class, he wanted to go to the summer training camp with everyone else, so he needed to be prepared for anything that could come up.

Not only that, but... he wanted to perform well in the practical exam. Though he never vocalized it as strongly or fiercely as Bakugo, Izuku still considered Kageyama a rival of sorts, someone with whom he was competing to become the number one. He wanted to shine during the practical exam, use One For All in a way that could show how much he'd improved, that even though Kageyama was an incredibly powerful student, Izuku still had something to show that was worth looking at. Hopefully, this practical exam could be the chance that he was looking for.

Shoto Todoroki was in his room, studying for his exam by himself. The house was quiet, as it usually was, and his sister had already gone to bed. His father would come to work rather late, which honestly wasn't too big of a problem for Shoto, since the relationship between them was still far from perfect, and he was far too busy studying to pay attention to him anyway. Even if he was rather confident with the material, he couldn't afford to slack off right now, not when there was so much at stake.

The teenager heard his phone ring, and looked to find another message from his father, along with a few others he'd ignored.

"Shoto, how are you?"

"Are you doing well with your studying?"

"If you have the time, talk to me."

"I'm waiting for your reply."

Shoto rolled his eyes and disregarded his father's messages. He had nothing of importance to say to his father, nor did he really feel inclined to respond to any of these messages. Right now, he just wanted privacy. The past few weeks since they'd had the disastrous family dinner, their father had attempted to converse with the rest of his family at home, coming home earlier than usual to try and engage in dialogue, but Shoto was generally uninterested either due to apathy or his father's inexperience with small talk, not really giving Endeavor the chance to improve in this regard.

In his hero agency, the number two hero impatiently looked at his phone, his nostrils beginning to flare up. So far, it said that all the messages he'd sent had been read, but his son hadn't bothered to respond to any of them. He'd talked with Fuyumi, and with her help, he managed to get Shoto's contact information, and right now, he was trying to do see how his son was doing. Things weren't like before. Back then, Endeavor had never once considered the feelings of his youngest son, and just as Kageyama had said, he'd never put any thought into the kind of person Shoto was or who he wanted to be. But not anymore! Now that he'd started walking down the path of being a better man and father, he wanted to be there for his son, mentor him like an actual father would. So he hoped that Shoto wouldn't keep on ignoring him like this, and give Endeavor the chance to be better!

The first day of the exams was upon them, and now all the students would come to see whether all their studying had really paid off in the end. Many of the students of Class 1-A were quiet walking through the halls, their hearts beating as the stress of these tests were piling on. For one student however, his racing heart was not only because of the exams, but because he was going to have to talk to his classmate about what had happened the night before.

Even now, Mob still couldn't believe he'd done something so stupid! He'd only wanted to comfort her, ease her mind and let her know she was someone special, and then that had happened! All he could do was hope that Yaoyorozu didn't react to it negatively or somehow hold it against him.

"Kageyama?" A finger tapped the esper's shoulder from behind, and Mob felt his heart stop when he heard the voice. Shigeo yelped out and turned around to face Momo with his cheeks heated up.

"Yaoyorozu!" The young girl placed her fingers to her lips and held back a giggle. He didn't have to act so nervous around her just because of what happened the night before.

"You forgot to take your books." Momo took her friend's notebooks out of her backpack and handed them over to Shigeo. He'd been so focused on his sparring with All Might and so exhausted that it had somehow slipped his mind completely. Shigeo still found it hard to make eye contact with her, his eyes going to random areas of the hallway.

"...Again, I'm sorry for what I did last night," muttered Shigeo.

"You don't have anything to apologize for." Mob managed to work up enough nerve to look her in the eye, and she found her staring with the same warmth that he'd stared at her the night before. "What you said, the kindness in your words, your gestures... they were truly meaningful to me." Mob felt some pressure being relieved from his body: at least she wasn't offended or weirded out by what he'd done the night before. The teenager felt the heat in his cheeks slowly subside, but that heat quickly rose up when the young, pink-skinned girl of Class 1-A rammed in the middle of their conversation with a grin spread out to her ears.

"What's she talking about?" The esper felt his heart do a flip, and his entire body jerked back.

"I-I-I gotta get to class!" Overcome with embarrassment, Mob scurried off, leaving Yaoyorozu alone for Ashido to tease and interrogate. Coupled with her bubbly and energetic demeanor, she ws eager to learn any gossip or possible love-life that was occurring in her class.

"I thought it was weird that we didn't see Kageyama leave, since he only had a few more questions to answer, which means the two of you had some alone time together, and something happened, didn't it? Tell me everything!

Now it was Momo's turn to be flustered and experience a rising heat in her cheeks. "You musn't get any wrong ideas! All I did was show him around the house and talked with him in the garden!"

"Sounds like the perfect setting for a night of romance!" The vice president of Class 1-A couldn't believe the insinuations her classmate was making!

"I assure you, nothing of the sort of happened! Besides, I really don't think this is what you should be focused on, Ashido! We have our written exams in less than ten minutes." Just being reminded of the exam was enough to trigger jolts of nervousness in her body, which she'd been trying to hide by focusing her attention on something else that interested her.

"Fine, but I'm still gonna keep my eye on you two!"

The students were quiet upon entering the room; many of the teenagers were dreading this written exam. The bowl-haired esper was one of the students feeling the most anxious and uneasy for this exam. Would he perform well? Would all of the studying he did with Yaoyorozu and the rest of his classmates be enough to pass the written portion of the exam? Shigeo would only hope...

The three days of the written exam were done, and Shigeo was loving it. Somehow, he'd been able to answer all of the questions for each of the exams, and he was about 85-90% confident that he got the questions right on all the exams. He'd never felt that confident about any test scores in his life, and it was all thanks to the hard work he'd put in with Yaoyorozu. His fellow study group members also seemed to have done adequately, so it seemed as though all of the students of Class 1-A had managed to pass this first challenge. Now, all that came next was the practical exam.

After having gotten into their hero costumes, the teenagers were all standing in the central plaza of the school, and opposite of them were the teachers. Among them, Class 1-A's homeroom teacher informed them of what was to follow.

"Now then, let's begin the last test. Remember, it's possible you can fail this final. If you all want to go to camp, then don't make any stupid mistakes."

Jirou, puzzled by the other teachers, decided to voice her confusion. "Wait, why're all the teachers here?"

"I imagine many of you have gathered information about the exam and believe you have a general idea of what you'll be facing for this exam."

"We're fighting those big ass robots!"

"Fireworks! Smores! Here we come!" The two lowest-scoring students were quite confident in the trial they'd face, but their hopes were vanquished by their principal, who popped up from underneath Aizawa's scarf.

"Actually, this year's test, will be completely different for various reasons!" Many of the students gasped, while Ashido and Kaminari felt their bodies freeze up in horror. "The tests now have a new focus. Of course, there will be hero work, but there will also be teamwork and combat against actual people. So what exactly does that mean? You students will be working together in pairs, and your opponents will be one of these esteemed teachers!"

"We're fighting the teachers?" exclaimed Ochaco.

Eraserhead followed up on the principal's explanation. "In addition, your partners and opponents have already been selected. They were determined at my discretion based on several factors, including fighting styles, grades, and interpersonal relationships. Though most of the teams are set up in pairs, there's going to be two teams of three."

First, Yaoyorozu and Todoroki are a team," The unkempt hero smirked, holding up his scarf and staring at the two students with a fiery look in his gaze, "against me.

"Then we have Midoriya, Bakugo, and Kageyama as one of the teams of three, and their opponent is-" Coming in from the sky with a dramatic entrance like always, the number one hero landed in front of the shocked teenagers.

"I am here! To fight!"

"We're up against All Might?" said Midoriya and Bakugo, but for Kageyama, this was only a light surprise at best. "You're going to have to work together, boys, if you want to win."

The two students of All Might stared nervously at each other, then at Bakugo. If it was just the two of them, that would be no problem, but with Bakugo? Watching them react, All Might's trademark smile widened: he remembered very clearly the reasoning behind Aizawa's selection.

In the conference rooms, the faculty of U.A. High had all been summoned by Principal Nezu in order to go over the contents of the final exam and whether or not it should be kept the same as previous years. One of te main arguments brought up by Snipe was the fact that the robots for the entrance exam were far too easy for the contestants to deal with. Some of the other teachers were in agreement with this reasoning, but when Aizawa suggested that the students fight the teachers themselves, this is where the uncertainty was starting to rise. They knew the considerable disadvantage the students would be in, even if they were in teams of two, and if the teachers went too easy on them. In the end, however, the principal decided that the best way to prepare the students for future struggles was by pushing them to make them as strong as possible.

With all of the teachers in agreement, Aizawa decided to start going over the students and listing their strengths and weaknesses. The first two were Todoroki and Yaoyorozu, who both possessed remarkable skills but lacked in quick thinking and finesse.

"The next one is Kageyama..."

"Kageyama..." The teachers all knew that among the students of Class 1-A, Shigeo Kageyama stood far atop all of them. Cementoss let out a chuckle. "That boy has shown he's truly a force to be reckoned with. He singlehandedly held off the Nomu monster that only All Might could defeat. Then, he breezed through the Sports Festival with astonishing ease while demonstrating his variety of powers and brute force, even managing to take the force of a missile without flinching. The only reason he lost is because he chose to give up for some unknown reason. To be perfectly frank, even if we were to get serious, I don't believe that any of us could defeat him, barring All Might."

"Well, if you switched partners, you could have Kageyama paired up against you, Eraser, and you could erase his quirk," Midnight suggested.

"A good idea, but I believe that there's a better option." The thing was, Eraser could have very well selected Kageyama to be paired up against him, but thankfully, he knew the truth about Kageyama, so he understood that option would not only be pointless, but would cause many problems. "I've thought it over carefully. For this exam, I think the best option would be to have Kageyama paired up with Midoriya and Bakugo, and the three of them will fight All Might."

"A three-man team?" said Present Mic, "What's the deal breaking up the order like that?"

"Like Cementoss said, I don't think anyone else here could defeat Kageyama on their own, and All Might's the only one with the strength to pose a real challenge to him. At the same time, I paired Bakugo and Midoriya together based on relationships, since I know the two have a rough history together. This exam's a good opportunity to confront their weaknesses, which is why I don't want to separate them. I also know that while the relationship between Kageyama and Midoriya is fine, the same can't be said for Bakugo either, so this will be another challenge that Kageyama would have to tackle. Is everyone in agreement?"

The teachers all glanced at one another, and all of them were comfortable with Aizawa's reasoning. "Guess it makes sense when you put it like that," said Snipe.

"But who's going to be the other three-man group?" questioned Thirteen, "And if we're handicapped, doesn't it feel like having three students fighting us might be a bit hard, even for us?"

"I'm getting to that. I've also already thought of measures to balance out the extra man in the group..."

All Might knew things were going to be serious for this exam. He knew that of all people, Kageyama was the one he couldn't go easy against, the one who needed a challenge more than any other student.

"And now, we'll announce the teams and the teachers they'll be fighting in order." The principal listed out the names of all the students, as well as the other three-man team, which consisted of Tokoyami, Asui, and Jirou. It looked like the fight with All Might had been saved for last, likely due to the stakes of that fight.

"To complete the exam, you'll have thirty minutes. In order to win, your objective is to put these handcuffs on your teacher, or you can win if one of you manages to escape from the combat stage."

"This time, your exam will be very similar to an actual battle," said Thirteen, "So as strange as it might be, please treat us as villains."

"But in instances where you're outmatched," continued Eraserhead, "It would be smarter to run away and find help."

For the four teenagers who fought against the Hero Killer, they understood all-too-well what their homeroom teacher was talking about. They were all determined not to make the same mistake again.

"So we fight to win, or run to win," said Izuku.

"That's right!" replied All Might, "It's a test of your decision making skills, but with these rules, you're probably thinking that your only real choice is to flee. That is why the support course developed these high density weights!" The hero took out the weights from his pocket and showed them to the class.

"These weights will add about half our body weight to our physiques! It isn't much, but they'll eat up our stamina and give you an advantage."

"Oh, one other thing I forgot to mention." Aizawa stared at the esper. "In order to balance out the three-man teams, one member will also have to wear these weights, and those members have already been chosen. The two people who'll be wearing those compressed weights are Kageyama and Asui. For Kageyama and All Might, your super strength was taken into consideration, which is why your weights will be much heavier than for the other teachers.

All Might took some of the weights out of his pocket, and they could see that these weights were thicker, much larger than the weights the other teachers had just put on. "You might wanna be careful holding these," said All Might, "Trust me, they're heavier than you'd imagine." The hero put the weights into Shigeo's hands, but the teenager was so overwhelmed by their weight that he nearly let them drop. He stopped them from falling at the last second using his telekinesis, but everyone was put off by how much those must have weighed. All Might then handed some regular weights to the other three-man team.

"With the explanations out of the way, we'll begin. The teams will take the practical exam in the order called. Sato, Kirishima, you're up. For the students who're waiting to go, you can choose to either watch the exams or strategize as a team. That's all." The teachers made their way into the building, while the other students conversed among themselves, choosing to prepare for their upcoming battles. But before either of them could say a word, Katsuki stormed off by himself.

"Well... The two of us should at least talk about some basic strategy, even if Kacchan won't listen," said Izuku.

"Right." Midoriya and Kageyama both entered the building and went into one of the empty waiting rooms. As the two of them walked, Izuku mulled over his team placement. It wasn't like he was particularly upset about his placement with Shigeo: after all, the two of them were great friends, they both knew each other so well, and to speak the truth, they'd definitely need his power in order to pass this. But still, a small part of him felt disappointment that he wouldn't get to prove himself. Anything he did during the exam, Kageyama could probably do it better. But the teenager expelled these thoughts from his mind. Now wasn't the time to think about minor things like that! They had way more important things to deal with!

After entering one of the waiting rooms, the two of them took their seats next to a whiteboard.

"The three of us have a really big challenge on our hands, and for now, it's up to the two of us to figure out how we should try and go about this," the fanboy began, "I know what All Might can do, and I know he's unbelievably strong. Normally, I'd consider running away the only option we have, but with you on our team, we might have the smallest chance of being able to put the handcuffs on All Might. You're the only one of us who can even come close to matching him. What're your thoughts?"

The esper leaned back in his chair. "It won't be an easy battle, even for me. In all of our sparring matches, I haven't been able to beat him even-"

"Whoa, sparring matches?" Izuku interrupted his friend when introduced to something he hadn't heard about, "You mean you've been training with All Might by yourself?"

"I wanted to learn how to improve my hand-to-hand combat skills, so All Might's been training me these past few weeks, ever since our battle with Stain."

"How come you guys didn't tell me?"

"Well, this is an area that I need to work on, but we both thought that you didn't the practice since you're really good at fighting."

"I mean, I'm alright at it, but it's not like I wouldn't like to improve there either!" The esper could hear his friend's rising voice, and could tell this was something that bothered him, though wasn't quite sure why he was making such a big deal out of this. He couldn't see that in Izuku's eyes, this was All Might giving Shigeo special treatment, paying more attention to his training and development than with Midoriya because he saw more potential in the esper.

"If you really want to, then of course you can be a part of our sparring matches."

The verdant-eyed teenager shook his head. Again, he didn't have any time to mull over these thoughts: he could do that later. Right now, he had to find out just how much of a chance they stood against All Might.

"Alright, so you're basically saying that you haven't stood a chance against him in the sparring matches?"

"Well, we've only been using our fists, so he hasn't let me use any of my other powers. I think that at the very least, I could distract him and buy you two enough time to head for the gate."

The green-haired student placed his hand under his chin. "That could work; the only problem would be getting Kacchan to agree. He's not in any mood to talk right now, and I'm not even sure where he is at the moment.

"There really isn't much else to talk about without Kacchan here, so I say we go see how our classmates do in the exams. It'll be great to see them in action." The esper nodded in agreement, and the two friends made their way through the building until they came across the darkened surveillance room, with a very large monitors displaying each of the different arenas the students would be competing in. Sitting in her chair observing all of the different monitors was Recovery Girl, for she knew that the fights that would take place today would inevitably result in some injuries, so she needed to be ready to react as soon as possible.

The only other person in the room was their close friend, Ochaco. "Hey guys. You're watching too?"

"Yea. The two of us already talked about what we wanna do, but without Kacchan to go over the strategy, there's only so much we can do. Besides, it's not like we get too many chances to watch students in combat with teachers, right?"

"I can see that, and my partner..." A comedic sweat mark rolled down her face, "Is a little preoccupied right now." A similar sweat mark fell down Izuku's face as his head comedically tilted.

"The first match has already started," said Kageyama, pointing up at the screen, "Sato and Kirishima just ran into Mr. Cementoss. It looks like they're gonna try capturing him."

The spectators saw their two classmates activate their quirks and charged toward their opponent. Cementoss placed his hands on the ground and launched waves of cement. The two teenagers were easily able to plow their way through the walls of cement, and both Uraraka and Kageyama were confident in their classmates' abilities.

"Come on, you guys, you've totally got him!" Uraraka said.

"They're not gonna win it like this." Shigeo and Ochaco turned and saw that unlike them, their friend's expression was solemn and serious. "Their quirks are awesome, sure, but there's a limit to how long they can use them. I don't think Mr. Cementoss has any limit like that, though. For every second that passes, those two are at a bigger and bigger disadvantage. It's not surprising that those two were paired up like this: they're making us fight teachers that we'll naturally have a hard time against. If we're going to win this, we'll have to recognize our own weaknesses and overcome them."

"Exactly right," noted Recovery Girl, "So before it's time to take your final, you must think carefully about the compatibility of the teacher you're fighting against."

Sadly for the two students, the battle was over before it could even really get started: as Izuku had noted, their quirks eventually gave out, allowing Cementoss to surround them with cement and knock them unconscious. Ochaco gasped and put her hand over her mouth, baffled by the ease with which Cementoss dispatched both of them.

"It was that one-sided?" she exclaimed.

"Their quirks were too ineffective against his." Izuku's lips momentarily trembled: this exam was going to be a lot harder than he'd anticipated. More than that, they were up against All Might, the number one hero. Sure, they had Kageyama to help, but even that wasn't a guaranteed win for them.

"Look, there's Tsu, Tokoyami and Jirou." The esper pointed up to one of the screens and saw the three students in the center of a very large building with multiple floors and the gate standing right in front of them. Mob was very fond of all three of those classmates, having bonded with each of them during his time at U.A. High, and hoped they managed to succeed in this exam. "They can do this, right, Midoriya?"

"I can't say for sure..." The green-haired fanboy rested his chin underneath his fingers again. "They have the extra man on their team, so that definitely gives them an advantage. Still, I wonder how they're gonna choose to fight against Mr. Ectoplasm. He's got a pretty great quirk too, after all."

The teacher appeared in front of the students and had his clones surround them on all sides. Ectoplasm charged the three of them, but before they could do anything, Tokoyami summoned Dark Shadow, grabbing Tsu and throwing her into the air. The frog-like girl followed up and wrapped her tongue around both Tokoyami and Jirou, lifting them into the air and onto the next floor, allowing all three of them to escape the clones.

"An awesome escape plan!" said Izuku.

"That's very good communication." The school nurse entered from the nearby room after having finished healed Sato and Kirishima. "They're talking to each other. Though it may not seem like much, it's very important. Real heroes need to be able to communicate with anyone."

The green-eyed fanboy had a few questions for the nurse, unsure of something in this team placement. "So, we were talking about these finals, and how each student was supposed to be facing their weaknesses, but what do these three have to work on? I mean, I can't really see how Mr. Ectoplasm's quirk is a bad matchup for them."

"Oh? Well, it's not good, at least for Tokoyami and Jirou." The three teenagers raised their eyebrows in confusion. "You'll see."

On the monitor, the students saw more clones of Ectoplasm appear in front of the three teenagers. Tokoyami continued to use Dark Shadow to hammer away at the clones, while Jirou was focusing on using her sonic waves to ward off the clones coming in from the other side. However, despite their efforts, the clones kept on storming the teenagers, and it was hard for Jirou to maintain a continuous usage of her sound waves, while Tokoyami found it difficult to keep up with their high numbers. Eventually, some clones managed to outmaneuver Tokoyami while another clone jumped up from the side and attempted to strike Jirou. But before either clone could strike, Tsu came in to launch one of them away with her tongue and kick the other back with her leg. She followed up by jumping into the air and repeating the same movement as before, launching the two up into the air onto the next floor above them.

"Tokoyami is quick and attack from distance, while Jirou can use large-scale attacks that deal large damage, but from another perspective, that means both of them are weak when it comes to close quarters and hand-to-hand combat."

"That's a good point, and Mr. Ectoplasm can have his clones appear anywhere."

"On the other hand, there's Asui, a stellar student with no clear weaknesses. She can provide support to her allies, though she's important in another way as well. Her ability to think with a calm head and give emotional support, which is the key to them passing."

"Emotional support, huh?" Midoriya remembered when she was with him during the U.S.J. incident: during the whole thing, she hadn't freaked out and managed to keep control of herself, something vital to them being able to defeat the villains that day.

The three students entered another hallway and found an army of clones waiting for them. Jirou attempted to eliminate all of them with her quirk's sound waves, allowing them the chance to move forward slightly, though their numbers seemed never-ending, and many of the clones began to attack from blind spots. Tsu did her best to support her teammates, hopping around the hallway and delivering powerful blows that managed to dispel the clones, but it became apparent that something was wrong with her. Both the spectators and combatants noticed her movements were getting slower, and she was appearing more exhausted.

"It must be the weights she's wearing," Midoriya said, "She can't keep up for much longer, and it looks like those repeated sound waves are starting to take a toll on Jirou too. So what's their next move?"

The hero suddenly created an enormous clone that towered several stories, high enough for its eyes to meet the three students. The shocked teenagers were unable to react as the clone took a giant bite, immobilizing their limbs and making it impossible to counter. Jirou attempted to use her earphone jacks, which were stuck inside the clone, to create a sound wave to break them free, but unfortunately her attack was not strong enough to make the clone dissipate. Tokoyami, unable to find any better options, had Dark Shadow go on the offensive and attack Ectoplasm. But the pro hero's strength and fighting skills were too much for Dark Shadow to handle, and it quickly became apparent that the dark construct could not win against a fight with a real pro hero like this. While the situation may have seemed hopeless, as it happened, the frog-like girl had a trick up her sleeve that involved one of her frog-like qualities, though it wasn't a pretty sight to see.

Tokoyami summoned Dark Shadow back to his body and grabbed something out of Tsu's hand. The creature charged forward with a strong right jab, which the teacher met with a right kick. Though Ectoplasm managed to win the clash, the hero soon realized that it was all part of a plan: to get up-close and put the handcuffs on his leg. Before being attacked by Ectoplasm's giant clone, Tsu had swiped the handcuffs from Tokoyami and ingested them, then threw them back up so Dark Shadow could get in close and restrain him.

"They did it!" the esper rejoiced.

"Those three managed to pull it off! They really make a great team!" Izuku added. Though the first round may have been off to a rough start for the students, the next round was a resounding victory for the members of Class 1-A. They could only hope that things could continue so smoothly.

Sitting alone in the waiting room, Momo Yaoyorozu was sitting in anticipation for her match against Mr. Aizawa. She had to admit, when she learned who her opponent would be for the final exam, her nerves were rattled: she and Todoroki were up against their homeroom teacher, an experienced hand-to-hand fighter with the ability to nullify their quirks. She'd initially been plagued by self-doubts, being reminded of her failure in the Sports Festival and her inability to stand out. But as soon as these doubts creeped into her mind, the words from the night before came in to dispel all of these thoughts.

"I chose you to be on my team for the Cavalry battle because I knew that if something went wrong or some quirk surprised me, you'd think of the right plan and the right object to counter it."

"Yaoyorozu, you're one of the most incredible people I've ever met. Never doubt that."

Her friend had put his trust in her abilities. He'd believed that she had something special about her, something that could prove she could become an amazing hero. It was up to her to make sure that those words held weight! She needed to have the same confidence in herself that Kageyama had in her! Yaoyorozu knew that she could think of the right plan to counter their teacher, and had already mapped out all of the details in her mind.

After having heard the second match had ended in victory for her classmates, the young teenager knew it was finally her turn to face her upcoming trial. Momo made her way to the practical exam area, an urban city where the buildings were no more than three stories high. Having already arrived before she did, Todoroki stood at the front gate. By the time the two of it made it to the area, the third round was declared officially over, and the students had managed to pass. Upon hearing the news, Todoroki couldn't help but crack a small smile.

"Looks like Iida made it," he said, "I expected as much." Now that the team was together, the two students decided to enter into the practical exam area.

"Well, it's our turn now. We shouldn't waste any time, not when our opponent is Mr. Aizawa." As if on cue, the horn blared, and the automated system announced that the fourth match had officially begun. With that, the two of them began a sprint through the street.

Momo was about to open her mouth to try and explain the plan, but before she could, Shoto interrupted her. He had skill and confidence in himself, which was why he'd already thought of a plan as well and decided to tell his teammate how he thought they should proceed with things. "I know our enemy is tough, but I've got a plan in mind for the two of us: I want you to keep making small objects. If you stop making them, it means that Mr. Aizawa is close-by. Our success is going to depend on which one of us finds the other first. Once I spot him, I'll draw him to me, then you can run to the escape gate and win this thing for us. You got it?"

"Actually..." The two of them stopped in the middle of an alleyway, and Shoto turned his head to see what his teammate was objecting to. For a split second, Yaoyorozu hesitated, but regained her composure and resolve. She had to be direct with her message. "Though your plan is by no means bad, I do believe that it is too much of a gamble and doesn't exploit the weaknesses of Mr. Aizawa's quirk. Before we started, I came up with a plan of my own that would allow us to fully capitalize on all the disadvantages of his quirk while capitalizing on our own quirks. Will you listen?"

The red and white-haired teenager was a little put-off by her objection to his plan, but he had no problems taking any advice if Yaoyorozu had something else in-mind. They were teammates, after all. "What'll we do?"

"Ok, here are the details..." Momo began her explanation and broke down the roles each of them would be playing in their attempt to defeat Mr. Aizawa. Shoto stood patiently and nodded his head as she spoke. When she finished, the dual quirk-wielding student crossed his arms and gave another curt nod.

"You were right: your plan's much more solid than mine. We'll go with it." The teenager gave a smile of respect to his teammate, which she gladly reciprocated.

"Thank you, though your idea of how to detect Mr. Aizawa was actually a very good one. I'll lead the way, and the two of us will head for the exit gate. We'll be sure to encounter him along the path."

Now having a full game plan set into place, Shoto and Momo shot out of the alleyway and continued heading down the street on the opposite side of the arena. In the monitoring room, the three friends were all eagerly and anxiously waiting to see how their classmates would handle their homeroom teacher, but knowing them, they were certain it would be something very clever.

"You can win this, Yaoyorozu," Kageyama muttered under his breath.

The attractive young girl used her quirk to make the dolls she'd spent her youth trying to master, though she kept six of them tucked away in her belt. While they were running, they were making sure to keep their eyes peeled to the tops of the buildings as an added measure. Things appeared to be going smoothly for them, and they'd already made it more than three quarters of the way to the gate thanks to having gone through the alleyways beforehand, but things would soon get knocked into a higher gear.

"Yaoyorozu, you've stopped making the dolls! He's here!" The two teenagers widened their stances and readied themselves, their eyes focused even more intently on the surroundings above them. It only took two seconds for the teenagers to spot their teacher perched on a three-story house a few buildings ahead of them.

"There!" Having been spotted, Eraserhead made his move and jumped down to the next building while throwing his scarf at his opponents. But before his scarf could get in close, Yaoyorozu threw the dolls that she'd been keeping in her belt towards Mr. Aizawa. The hero wondered what exactly it was she threw, but when he saw the two of them close their eyes. She'd done a repeat of her battle trial with Mob and threw flash grenades that momentarily blinded and stunned the eraser hero.

"Now, Todoroki!" The two of them took a large jump back to give Shoto a bit more room to unleash his strongest ice move, the same one he'd used many times during the Sports Festival. Unfortunately for Mr. Aizawa, he was still blinded by the flash grenades and could only hear the sound of the massive wave of ice headed towards him. He acted on instincts and jumped back, but without any general direction, he simply jumped backward into a wall and fell down a few stories, landing his head into an empty metal garbage can.

On the other side of the ice wall, the two students could hear the loud metal noise. "He must've been knocked off-balance by our combined attacks. That'll give us even more time to get ready, but you still have to hurry making the scarf and the other things."

"Right!" Yaoyorozu exposed her chest and made a long scarf which looked nearly identical to Mr. Aizawa's scarf in appearance while her teammate looked away with a mild tinge in his cheeks.

On the other side of the ice wall, Eraserhead rubbed his head and moaned in pain. He rubbed his eyes while his surroundings came back to him in a clear view. It took about fifteen to twenty seconds for him to recover, but when he did, he jumped back up onto the top of a building to survey the situation. Standing before him was the massive wave of ice he'd seen his student use many times before.

"They took advantage of their opponent and hit me where it hurts." The teacher couldn't help but feel impressed by their bold first move. His first reaction was to immediately try to find a way around the ice wall the long way and catch them by surprise, but he reconsidered this option when he looked behind and saw the escape gate not too far away.

"Since the escape gate's behind me, it'd be better for me to watch from here than try to chase them and potentially let them slip through the gate." Eraserhead smirked. "Let's see what you kids got in store for me."

The wait for them to make their next move was much shorter than Aizawa had anticipated. On the right, his eyes picked up his two students with black capes over their bodies while they headed for the escape gate.

"Disguises, huh? I can't use my quirk if I can't see them, but this leaves them at a disadvantage, too." The hero jumped forward and readied his binding cloth to grab the two of them by the shoulders. However, when he pulled the cloaks up, he saw that the upper halves were simply mannequins. Hidden underneath, Momo was crouched down next to a catapult loaded with a scarf that looked like his.

"A catapult?"

"Here goes!" Yaoyorozu pushed down the lever, activating the catapult and sending the scarf into the air, where it surrounded Mr. Aizawa. The teacher could see it was a diversion, but he didn't understand what this was for.

"Todoroki, blast your flames, now!" From underneath the other cloak, Momo's teammate did as she said and sent a wave of fire, but it wasn't aimed at Mr. Aizawa. But why not?

"I don't think we'd stand a chance of beating you in a full-on fight, but that's fine!" The teacher's body tensed up when he saw the scarf suddenly harden and change shape. "Tell me something: have you ever heard of nitinol alloy? When heated, it returns to it's original shape in an instant! It's a metal with shape memory!" The scarf suddenly wrapped itself around Mr. Aizawa and taking him out of the fight. The two teenagers took a moment to absorb this, unsure of whether it was really over or not, but once they saw their teacher put up no fight, they approached him and placed the handcuffs around his wrists.

"It all went according to your plan, Yaoyorozu. I can't believe that it worked so smoothly, but somehow, we managed to pull it off."

"Good work, the two of you." Though harsh when need be, Mr. Aizawa also knew when to give compliments when they were due. Observing from what little he could in his classroom and from her behavior in the Sports Festival, the homeroom teacher had been under the impression that Momo had lost her self-confidence and trust in her instincts, but it looked as though he'd either been mistaken, or something had managed to help her regain that lost confidence. "You made a plan that played exactly to my weaknesses and focused on your strengths. That's the only way I was so quickly taken out like this."

Momo let out a soft gasp, her lips going to her mouth as she was caught off-guard by rare word of praise from her teacher.

"You know, I never told you this, Yaoyorozu, but during our class president election, one of the votes you got was from me." She let out an even larger gasp as she jerked her head to look at Shoto. "I thought you showed the judgement and skills that made you most qualified for class rep, and the victory you got us today just proves I was right to put my trust in you."

The young teenager was being handed praises from left to right, being given such large amount of credit by her superiors and peers. To be acknowledged like this, to overcome this challenge and prove that she was someone who could take care of herself and demonstrate she could be an amazing hero, it felt... pretty great. Her eyes began to momentarily shine, though unlike last night, she managed to keep control of her emotions and gave her teammate a shaky but sincere smile. "Thank you. Your words humble me."

Izuku, Ochaco, and Shigeo were all brimming with positivity and delight to see that their friends had managed to so effectively capture their opponent. Shigeo's eyes were able to glow with that luminescence and optimism that was rare to find in his usually dull expression. "You did it, Yaoyorozu. You did it." Just as the esper knew, his friend had used her intelligence in the ways he never could and won the battle not through raw power, but through wits. He couldn't wait to congratulate her, nor could he wait to see how the rest of his class would do.

After the fourth round, Ochaco was up next, and she bid them farewell while they wished her luck in her exam. Shortly after leaving, Tsu came in, and the two classmates congratulated her on her victory before watching the next fight together. The battle got off to a rough start for Ochaco and Yuga: Thirteen used her quirk to create a large suction effect that neither of them could escape. They watched on in concern as their classmates looked close to defeat, but for some reason, when the two were talking, Ochaco let go of the pole she was grabbing onto. This allowed her to get in close and use a martial art move to pin her down. Yuga shot forward with his naval laser and pinned her other arm down, allowing Ochaco to place the handcuffs and get their victory.

Izuku openly expressed his admiration for what he believed to be Ochaco's plan to get in close, though Tsu objected and voiced her thought that something Yuga said startled her and caused her to lose focus. Before any three of them could wonder what they could've been talking about, the rep and vice rep of Class 1-A came into the monitor room to watch the rest of the exams.

"Yaoyorozu!" The esper was the first to address them, and took a few steps forward. "Congratulations, you were amazing. I told you there wasn't any reason to doubt yourself."

Shigeo's flattering words elicited a light blush in response, and she stared at the wall for a second before staring back at her friend. "Well, I wouldn't have had the confidence to trust my instincts if it weren't for your support."

The esper beamed before looking at his spectacled friend. "And you too, Iida. You did really great out there."

"Totally!" Midoriya piped up with his usual bubbly optimism. "Congrats to the both of you for passing."

The two of them stared at both Midoriya and Kageyama before giving a smile and a nod. "Your enthusiasm is appreciated."

"Well, now that Ochaco won, let's see which team is taking the field next." The group of students all stood together and watched as the matches progressed. The next match, Ashido and Kaminari against Principal Nezu, sadly ended in failure for them as they were outmatched by the principal's genius intellect and use of the terrain for his advantage. After their match was over, Ochaco came to join them, but when Tsu asked what Yuga had said to her during their match, her face became blistering red and she immediately stepped back while waving her hands and denying anything had happened. The students wondered what was causing her to act so bizarrely, but they had little time to ponder is as the next match with Shoji and Hakagure against Snipe commenced. Through her stealth and a fake admission of surrender, the two students managed to turn the tables against Snipe and achieved victory. With only two more matches left, it wasn't long before Shigeo and Izuku had to go up next, and Ochaco noted this.

"Hey, you two, shouldn't you guys be heading to the exam area?"

"Well, probably..." The green-haired student exchanged gazes with his teammate before looking back at Ochaco. "But I wanna make sure I see everyone else fight. It's so interesting to see how each team uses their quirks, but it also feels that I'm getting stronger watching them. All our classmates are just so awesome, and each of them embodies what it means to be a U.A. student. So Kageyama, is it alright if we stay a little bit longer?"

"Of course. I also want to see how our friends win. So let's see how Mineta and Sero are doing..."

"I think they've had better days." The frog-like girl pointed up at the screen, and the two teammates felt sweat drip down when they saw Mineta running away with tears in his eyes.

"I guess you could say our class MOSTLY embodies what it means to be a U.A. student," Yaoyorozu muttered, for his reputation with the girls still wasn't particularly favorable. As if it couldn't get any more bizarre or shocking, all of the students saw Mineta crying actual blood from his eyes. Though he'd made the effort to improve himself and had become better since having his eyes opened by Shigeo, he still had a bit of ways to go in terms of bravery, and he'd still love to be in the lap of a beautiful woman. Shigeo and Izuku frowned, knowing that their friend had put in so much effort to go to the training camp.

While the spectators weren't expecting much from Mineta having seen him run away, they were pleasantly surprised when they saw him leaping into action. After an intiail moment of self-doubt and fear, Mineta remembered the actions of Midoriya and Kageyama, how cool they'd acted in times of danger and how they acted like real heroes. If he wanted to be a cool hero like them, then he had to overcome this!

Using part of Sero's tape to cover his mouth, Mineta rushed forward, using one of his special moves to restrain Midnight's whip to the ground and trap her, preventing her from stopping Mineta as he ran to the gate.

"He managed to trap her far away from the gate! There's no way her quirk can reach him now!"

Seeing as this match was almost over, the esper knew that it was time for them to leave. Mob tapped his friend on the shoulder, and without having to say anything, the two of them ran out of the monitor room. As they ran, Mob used his telekinesis to lift all four weights instead of having to carry them himself.

"Mineta did a great job, didn't he," Mob remarked.

"No question. I'll try my best to be a hero, too, so I don't let our class down." While the two of them were running, Izuku brought up something he'd thought of.

"Kageyama, do you think you'd be able to use your psychic powers to keep All Might paralyzed?"

"No: with his strength, it'd be easy for him to break free in no time. Fighting him myself while you two escape is probably the best option we have."

"I guess that's true..."

They saw Bakugo standing at the front gate with the handcuffs hanging from the side of his belt. The explosive teenager looked back and gave his two teammates a cold glare that sent chills down their spine, before turning his head back, refusing to even acknowledge them.

"Guess you should put those weights on, Kageyama." Shigeo did as his friend said, using his telekinesis to place all four weights on his wrists and ankles. Immediately upon placing them, the esper felt as though a car was weighing him down.

"These're way heavier than I thought. There's no way I can move around if I don't keep my psychic power active." A light blue aura flashed around Shigeo's body, and his hair stood up.

"Will you still be able to fight?"

"If I'm using my power constantly, then I don't think it'll be too bad." The esper did a few punches and kicks into the air to test how well he could move. Though it was slightly burdensome, it still wasn't enough to majorly hinder his abilities.

"Team Kageyama, Midoriya, and Bakugo! Practical Exam!" The alarm blared, and the doors opened, leading the way to the number one hero who was waiting on the opposite side of the massive city. Upon entering the city, the doors instantly slammed shut, leaving them no way out, though Bakugo wouldn't have it any other way.

The blonde-haired teenager was furious when their homeroom teacher announced he'd be working with the two people he couldn't stand. He hated both of them each in different ways; even though Mob had already apologized to him and shown him courteous behavior, it wasn't enough for Bakugo to get rid of the feelings of inferiority and jealousy he felt towards the esper. On the other hand, Deku was an annoying bug, a weakling who he'd always hated and who he believed should've never even been at this school in the first place. It was why he didn't even bother saying a word to either of them and walked down the main path in silence. But his teammates wouldn't have that.

"Listen, Kacchan, Kageyama and I already came up with a plan for how we're gonna do this. Since the villain we're fighting is All Might, we know that combat is out of the question: it'd be impossible for us to beat him. The only one of us who could even think of fighting against him is Kageyama, which is why we decided that he'll hold off All Might while the two of us run for the escape gate."

Bakugo let a deep growl, and his face twisted with anger. "Like HELL I'm just gonna run tail like a pathetic weakling and let you take all the glory, bowl-cut! Now STOP FOLLOWING ME!" Ironically, in this situation, Midoriya actually empathized with Bakugo, not liking the idea of simply leaving everything up to Kageyama but understanding there was no other way, especially knowing what All Might was like.

Though Bakugo was ignoring them, Shigeo kept his cool, choosing to change how he usually went about talking to him. "Bakugo, I get that you don't want to run away, but you have to think about everything you've seen from All Might. Remember what he did during the U.S.J.. At the very least, I can delay him enough for the two of you to get to the gate."

"He's right! Come on, Kacchan! Think about it! All Might's probably waiting for us at the front gate!"

"I've already made up my mind on what I'm gonna do! I'm gonna toy with him until time's almost up, then knock him unconscious for real!" The two teenagers frowned: they weren't getting anywhere with him right now.

"I know it's hard to admit, but even with those weights, neither of you could win in a fight against him." This statement drove Bakugo over the edge, and driven with his bubbling frustration, he lashed out and slugged Shigeo across the face. The blow made Shigeo lose focus, causing him to drop his psychic powers, allowing the weights to sink to the ground.

"Kageyama!" His friend rushed over to Mob's side, though the psychic calmed him and placed his hand out. Izuku glared back at Kacchan, though its intensity was sorely outdone by the vehement features etched onto Bakugo's face.

"I don't wanna hear another word, bowl-cut. You think I'm gonna listen to someone like you? Someone who just gives up and hands wins over to his opponents and lets them take first place? I'm nothing like that! I don't ever throw away any chance of victory! I'll win this by myself, because that's what it means to be a hero, bowl cut!"

The power and weight behind these words was palpable, and both teammates were stunned into silence. Those words brought Izuku back to a time when he and Kacchan were both kids, looking at a television and watching All Might defeat villains. Ever since they were kids, both of them loved and admired All Might, and for Kacchan, the thing that made All Might stand out above everyone else was the fact that even against all the odds, he would always win.

Before either of them could give a proper response, a massive gust of air came blowing in from the street, fracturing the windows and blowing all three students off of their feet.

"Who really cares if I destroy this city?" The number one hero's voice was deep and vicious. Walking through the cloud of dust, the three teammates all felt a chill run up their spines. When did All Might get... so intimidating?

The hero stomped on the ground, yet something as simple as that was enough to completely dispel the dust around them. "I'm a villain now, heroes. You better come at me with everything you've got!"

Shigeo knew it was his time to act! This was his role, to get his teammates to the gate and have all three of them pass!

The young esper rushed forward and delivered a powerful right jab, which All Might met with his own fist. The force of their impact created many more shockwaves which blew the other two back and made a large crater in the ground.

"Bold move, young Kageyama, but let's see whether the hero can really back up his actions!" Mob grimaced: honestly, he was worried about that, too. What followed was a rapid exchange of fists between the two fighters. As the other two teenagers got back up, they gasped at what they were seeing: even when wearing weights, both of them were fighting at speeds neither of them could process. The spectators watching in the monitoring room were equally baffled by the intensity of their fight, and they were all being reminded that Kageyama was already at a level close to the number one hero.

"Come on, Kacchan! This is our chance! We have to go now!"

"Don't tell me what to do!" Katsuki clenched his teeth furiously and created explosions in his hands. "Damn it, All Might! He's not your only opponent! DON'T YOU DARE IGNORE ME!"

Though the esper was doing what he could, he was still too inexperienced with his hand-to-hand combat, and even now, the difference in skill between himself and All Might was rather wide. As if that wasn't enough, the number one hero was still stronger and faster than Kageyama while he was in his regular state. After their short exchange of blows which lasted less than twenty seconds, All Might let out a mocking laugh and pounded Shigeo to the ground, creating another shockwave. The hero then grabbed the esper by the face, but before he could make another move, his eye spotted Katsuki rapidly approaching him. The teenager prepared to launch an explosion from his hand, but All Might made an underhanded trick and used Mob's body to take the explosion instead. The hero decided to add insult to injury and use Kageyama's body as a weapon, slamming him into Bakugo and sending him tumbling across the ground.

Mob recovered, using his psychic powers to push All Might back and free himself from his grip. Clearly, Mob needed to find a different way to try and take care of All Might, even if it meant going to some slightly extreme measures. The teenager lifted his hand and proceeded to crush All Might between two of the nearby buildings.

Everyone who was watching gasped at the manner Mob had just attacked, and even the esper couldn't help but nominally frown. The sparring sessions he'd had with All Might made it easer for him to hurt the hero, and he'd gotten a better idea of how durable he was, but even so, his kind heart made this difficult to do.

Only seconds later, the two buildings were sent crashing back, and from the center of the impact, All Might stood with both of his hands extended and his smile ever present. "Were you trying to give me some sort of a hug? How cute!"

The esper saw that All Might was ready to make a move and raised a barrier, but the number one hero easily broke through it and landed a heavy blow straight to his face. Before he could even finish flying ten meters, All Might appeared behind him and followed up with a devastating kick to back, causing the esper to yell out in pain. Mob tried to retaliate with a backhand, but All Might easily caught his fist, turning him around and using the opportunity to land multiple punches on his exposed body. These punches yielded great power, each of them creating more powerful shockwaves that rattled the nearby buildings and made the glass on the ground shake. As he was being pummeled, Shigeo could tell that something was different here. Even though he was wearing weights, All Might's punches were much stronger than anything he'd used during their previous sparring matches. It was like he was really using everything he had against Mob.

After the initial volley of punches, All Might threw Shigeo into the building, and with his arm craned back, rushed forward and prepared to use the super move he'd used against Shigeo in their last sparring match, except this time, he stocked up even more power than before.

"Detroit Smash!"

The esper wasn't fast enough to defend himself against this attack, and felt the hero's fist railing into his chest. The force of this attack was enormous and far greater than anything delivered before. The buildings behind Mob were demolished, debris sent flying everywhere and more shockwaves reverberating throughout the city.

"Kageyama!" The green-haired fanboy yelled out for his teammate. In the monitoring room, Yaoyorozu's hands covered her mouth while she yelped out in terror, while the others were equally baffled by the ruthlessness being displayed before them. Among them, another person had joined, curious to see how a battle of this scale would go down. Shoto Todoroki felt curious to know how Kageyama would handle himself against All Might after having seen his performance in the Sports Festival, but right now, he was being absolutely dominated.

"I never imagined I'd see Kageyama getting beaten around so easily," said Shoto, "Then again, this is the Symbol of Peace we're talking about."

"Who would've imagined the number one hero could act like such a villain," muttered Tsu.

In the fighting ground, after seeing the devastating attack, both teenagers were stunned by the raw power being displayed by the number one hero. After having seen Kageyama fight, it was still shocking to find him being so easily beaten down while they'd barely ever come close to merely stunning the esper.

Bakugo was the first to react from the shock, and determined as ever, attacked the hero while he was distracted. Even after having seen All Might trash buildings around like it was nothing, there was still no way that he'd run away now! Though he managed to hit All Might this time, his explosions had next to no effect on the hero. "Your rapid fire blasts are weak, hardly more than a sting!"

All Might grabbed Bakugo by the face and slammed him down into the ground, but after watching the brief scuffle with Shigeo, anyone could tell that the power being used was nothing close to what he'd used against the esper. After knocking Bakugo down, All Might decided to set his sights on the last remaining fighter, who was completely frozen with doubt and fear. All Might instantly appeared behind Izuku in the blink of an eye, baffling the young teenager.

"Don't think I've forgotten about you already, young Midoriya! What's your next move? Will you run away and leave your teammates behind?"

His body washed over with a wave of terror. All Might's demeanor, his intimidating aura... somehow, it was reminding him of the Hero Killer. Opting a hasty retreat, Izuku activated One For All and jumped backward. However, his tactic of retreat stood in sharp contrast with Bakugo, who'd decided to jump forward and go on the offensive again.

"Move it!" The two of them collided in midair, their opposing mindsets and stark lack of teamwork showing itself more than ever. One only thought of victory, while the other could only think of running. For Izuku, not only was he a deep admirer of All Might who detested the idea of hurting his idol, but after seeing the way All Might manhandled Shigeo, he knew that there was no way in hell he could do any better.

"Incoming, heroes! I have a special gift, for the one who wants to run!" All Might barely gave them any time to recover before attacking again, this time pinning Izuku down with a piece of fence. Before Katsuki even had time to stand up straight, All Might barreled his fist into his stomach. The teenager vomited as he was once again sent flying across the ground.

"Kacchan, are you ok?!" The young teenager watched as Katsuki attempted to get back up. It was truly amazing: even after having witnessed All Might's phenomenal power first-hand, he refused to back down, driven by the overwhelming desire to achieve victory. Ever since he'd known him, that was something that Izuku had always admired about him, and it had inspired him to do the same.

"I know why you're so angry, young Bakugo." All Might walked toward Katsuki, who was still struggling to stand. He looked at the wreckage of his Detroit Smash to see if there were any signs of movement. So far, he couldn't see anything, but he'd check to make sure once he was finished with Bakugo. It pained him greatly to hurt his student to such an extent, but it was his job as the villain. "It's because of young Midoriya's sudden improvement as well as Kageyama's remarkable power. But remember the rankings when the year first began: it's much easier to level up when you're a novice, and though Kageyama may possess incredible strength, that doesn't mean you don't have any strength either! But you're wasting your potential! Do you understand what I'm telling you? You still have so much room to grow stronger, boy, and I'm not just talking about your quirk!"

"Shut up, All Might." Katsuki wasn't having any of this: he wasn't ready to be lectured by someone right now, even if it was All Might. "If I'm so pathetic that I'd have to take help from a weakling like Deku, then I'd rather lose this. Do you hear me?"

As the teenager made his declaration, Kageyama got himself out from under the rubble and made it back to the battlefield just in time to hear Bakugo say that he was ready to lose. Listening to his bold statement, the hero raised his hand to deal the final punch, obliging the teenager's request.

"I see. Just remember that's what you said, hero." All Might prepared to strike, but in a surprising twist, Izuku managed to beat him to the punch, rushing forward and dealing a powerful punch to his face as the green electricity coursed around him.

"Don't you dare say you'd rather lose! Let's win this, Kacchan!" As the teenager was sent back to the ground, Izuku came and grabbed him. While grabbing him, his eyes picked up on Kageyama standing in shock at his friend's bold move. "Come on, Kageyama!" Deku carried Kacchan and ran into the alleyway, with Shigeo following right behind him.

"I've got you, Kacchan!" he said.

"Put me down, you bastard!" The teenager elbowed him hard in the head, dropping Katsuki as he wanted. The two of them leaned up against opposite walls while Shigeo stood in the center of the alley.

"Are you guys alright?"

"Yea, and you? Taking one of All Might's special moves head-on must've really done some damage."

"It's nothing serious."

Izuku looked back at his explosive rival. "Listen, Kacchan. Right now, I can't think of any way for us to beat him, and even with Kageyama, he showed us that he can't keep him occupied long enough for us to make a clean getaway. But before you give up, we can at least try using my power! You're you because you never give in! "The most amazing hero always wins!" Those're the words you've been saying since you were little kids! How can you give up now?"

Kacchan's temper was beginning to boil up again, and that anger exploded again as he yelled out and fired an explosion right on Izuku's face. Or at least, that's what it looked like at first, but he used what little self-restraint he had to fire the explosion right next to his head.

"Listen, you useless nerds, cuz I'm not gonna repeat myself. All Might's speed is insane, so no matter where you go, there's no way you can avoid fighting him. And bowl-cut, with the way he throttled you around, even if you were at full power, I think it's pretty clear you wouldn't stand a chance either. He can't be stopped by anything but a full-power attack. I learned that earlier with my mini blasts, so what you're gonna do is use my gauntlet and fire at him. That'll distract him long enough for the three of us to run away and-"

"No." Kacchan and Deku turned their heads when they heard Kageyama reject this plan. "We're not gonna run. We're putting those handcuffs on All Might."

The two teammates looked at each other just to make sure that they'd heard the same thing. Was Kageyama actually suggesting they stay and fight? Him, of all people?

"Kageyama, what're you ta-" Izuku's sentence was cut short when he saw Kageyama cough up blood and fall to his knees.

"Whoa!" The teenager rushed over to his friend and tried to help him up. "You're hurt. All Might's attacks did too much damage to your body. You're crazy if you think you can fight him again. Not to mention, you've still got those weights on, so your stamina's not gonna last much longer." Now that Izuku thought about it, the entire time they'd been talking, Shigeo had his hand over his chest. Truth be told, the entire time they'd been talking, Mob was internally writing with pain. As his friend correctly suspected, All Might's Detroit Smash had dealt some heavy damage. In fact, he was rather sure that his ribs had been broken. But even so, that didn't mean he was out for the count.

"Deku's right, bowl-cut! Trying to capture All Might is a lost cause." The esper shook his head.

"I don't think it is." Shigeo's gaze went to the ground, beginning to self-reflect on everything he'd just heard. "Losing isn't a fun experience. It doesn't feel good at all to watch as others beat you, especially when you've put your all in trying to win the top spot." Shigeo's memories went back to his school marathon, when he'd spent more than a week training with the Body Improvement Club, doing everything he could to win, or at least place in the top ten, but fell short of his expectations and passed out during the marathon. It was an unfortunate and very saddening experience for him.

He looked back up at Bakugo: he realized that must've been the same frustration and disappointment he'd been experiencing ever since he got to U.A. High. First, he lost against Midoriya in the battle trial. Then, Mob had effortlessly defeated him after that battle when he'd lost control of himself, and then finally at the Sports Festival, when his final attack had failed and he was sent flying out of the ring.

"Bakugo, you've been putting your all into being the best ever since you got into U.A. High, and it's time I do the same thing. I won't let the Sports Festival repeat itself: this time, I'm gonna push through to the end and keep fighting.

"Listen, even if I'm hurt, I can still fight, and I can still at least stun him, give an opening to attack. But I can't fight alone: if I'm gonna do this, if you guys want to win, then we'll go all the way, the three of us, together. And Bakugo, you'll be the one to put the handcuffs on All Might."

Both pairs of eyes glowed with fascination and awe, their mouthes gaped open. Neither of them had ever heard Shigeo talk like this before, express any real desire to win. For him, of everyone in the class, to be the one to convince them both to keep fighting, it would probably sound like a joke. Well, if it was really a joke, then that joke managed to land for the two of them, because both of them had managed to get on board. For Izuku, his gaping mouth changed to a wide smile, and he pumped his fist into the air.

"Then let's do it!"

For Kacchan, hearing this little speech almost managed to get him to smile, but it was against his nature, so he stopped himself and maintained his scowl. "It's about time you talked in a language I can actually understand, bowl-cut, and I have to admit, me putting the handcuffs on the number one hero sounds right when I hear it out loud. Fine: if we're really set on beating All Might, then here's what we'll do..."

After having made a swift getaway, the number one hero was running across the main route, looking everywhere around him. Since they'd chosen to flee, he imagined that the three of them would likely head for the escape gate. But so far, he hadn't come across any of them...

Shooting out from behind the alley, the bowl-haired teenager appeared and attempted to land a surprise attack on the number one hero.

"A sneak attack, huh..." All Might was able to catch the fist the was aimed at his back and responded with a left uppercut, which Kageyama managed to dodge.

"Midoriya, do it now!" Right behind him, his friend stood with one of Bakugo's grenadier launchers. So then Kageyama was just acting as a decoy?

"I'm sorry, All Might!" Izuku regrettably pulled the pin on the grenadier launcher, releasing the full force of the explosion at a point-blank range. Kageyama protected himself with a barrier, and since All Might was the one who was in the direct path of the explosion, he'd take most of the impact. These two things allowed him to stay in close-range, and with All Might dazed by the full-scale explosion, it gave Shigeo precisely the opening he needed.

Even though this plan was basically identical to the one that Bakugo had made before, the key difference here was Kageyama: as he himself said before, his blows were at least enough to stun All Might, and with the hero distracted, he'd only take even more damage when undefended. Once All Might had taken enough damage and was disoriented long enough, then Bakugo would come in at that moment and put the handcuffs on All Might.

Mob wasted no time and sped forward with the same attack he'd tried to land on him just seconds before. This time, the hit managed to connect, and the shockwaves formed were potent enough to dispel all of the dust. Shigeo followed up with several more punches, much more coordinated and focused than the ones he'd used against the Nomu. For the finishing blow, Shigeo craned his arm back and struck the number one hero straight in the face. With this punch, the teenager used the momentum to bring All Might down and slam him into the ground.

"Bakugo!" From the alley that Kageyama had come from, Katsuki saw that the moment they'd been waiting for had now come. With the handcuffs resting in his right hand, he propelled himself forward with his explosions and attempted to achieve their victory. Alas, fate had other plans.

Just as Bakugo was less than a foot away from All Might, the hero saw him and kicked him in the chest, sending him crashing up into the building.

"No!" The teacher let out a sinister laugh and grabbed the front of his student's shirt.

"A brave effort, but sadly, it wasn't enough!" All Might lifted Shigeo up, guiding him head-first into the ground. Another enormous crater was formed, and the shockwaves from the attack were potent enough to send Izuku flying through the wall of a nearby building. All Might could slightly hear the shout of pain from underneath the rubble. The hero quickly hopped back up onto his feet, but Shigeo dug himself out of the ground just as quickly, hovering midair and attempting to get a right kick on All Might's head. However, the hero was still able to catch his foot, and he pulled him forward to deliver a devastating headbutt to his forehead. Blood began to stream from the top of his head, and he was hit with a momentary sense of dizziness.

"Now it's time for you to die!"

"Hey, that's my line!" Bakugo jumped down from the building, still fully intent on putting the handcuffs on All Might. First, he had to break Kageyama free from All Might's hold, so he put the handcuffs back on his belt and attempted to blast him in the face, enough to loosen the grip he had on Shigeo. Despite this, their enemy saw where his explosion was aimed and quickly moved his head to avoid the blast. Then, as Bakugo momentarily hovered next to him, he elbowed him in the back, planting his body into the ground.

With Shigeo briefly dazed, he was unprepared and undefended against the hard jab to his stomach, the force managing to make him cough up blood, and for the final touch, he grabbed him by the face and slammed him hard into the ground, the force enough to fracture the ground again and kick up large dust clouds.

Inside of those dust clouds, the symbol of peace had both teenagers underneath his boot. "You've done what you could, but you're still no match for me. Say, what're those?" All Might pointed at the handcuffs on Bakugo's belt.

"Would you mind if I hold them? I'll be gentle."

"Like hell, All Might!" The number one hero reached his hand out to grab the handcuffs, but he heard something approaching him from behind. While All Might had been occupying himself with taking care of these two and getting the handcuffs, he'd left himself wide open for the remaining teammate to swoop in and save his comrades from their defeat. He was going to do just as Kageyama said they would: he was going to win this, and he was going to save his teammates! And they'd do that all together!

"Smash!" The current One For All user slugged the former One For All user across the face, loosening the grip enough for both Bakugo and Kageyama to escape and regain their footing. Once their footing was regained, their focus was on making their next move.

"We need to keep on dealing damage!" Bakugo yelled, "Deku, out of the way!" The fanboy saw his teammate put his hand on the pin of his grenadier and immediately jumped behind his two teammates. The symbol of peace was dealt another very powerful explosion of devastating force, but they knew they couldn't stop there!

"Keep going!" The green-haired teenager was the first of the three to jump into action. Though his body was still hidden in the smoke clouds, he still had a good estimate of where he was, and he jumped forward to deliver another smash to his stomach, and the shockwaves were enough to make his form visible to the others. Shigeo was up next, and he struck All Might in the chest. This much more powerful attack managed to dispel all of the smoke and sent the hero several meters back.

"Kageyama! Spin me towards All Might!" The esper didn't spend any time thinking and did as he said, grabbing his friend midair and spinning him multiple times around him before throwing him towards All Might. The increased momentum gave his punch much more strength, the shockwaves more visible than before. Shigeo repeated his previous attack, except this time, it was a jab square to the face. When the hero was knocked back, the esper followed up with an uppercut, sending All Might soaring high into the air.

As he was soaring into the air, Shigeo flew up right above of his opponent and clamped his fists together.

"Wyoming Smash!"

The bowl-haired student slammed his clamped fists straight into the esper's stomach, sending him crashing him into the ground that made another crater. To ensure that he was distracted long enough, Shigeo next placed his feet together and slammed himself down into the hero's stomach. All Might groaned out in pain, and his arms were flailed out. Mob saw the exposed arms and grabbed both of them together.

"Bakugo!" He heard the urgency in his voice, and with remarkable speed, he rushed down into the crater with the handcuffs in his hands. Bakugo saw the way that All Might's hands were being restrained by the esper, and he smiled. This was their chance!

Katsuki rushed toward the number one hero, but this time, the repeated attacks and the damage sustained from such strong attacks managed to pile up. As a result, he wasn't quick enough to defend himself and was helpless as the handcuffs were placed nicely around his wrists.

From the top of the crater, Izuku peered down. Did they really do it? The All Might fanboy's hopeful suspicions were proven true when he saw his two teammates standing above the number one hero, resting on the ground with the handcuffs.

"Oh my god..." Midoriya jumped down to the center of the crater, wanting to get up-close to confirm the handcuffs were really put around his wrists. "We... we did it. We won. We actually beat THE SYMBOL OF PEACE!"

Overcome with the joy of this seemingly impossible victory, Izuku Midoriya burst up into the air, pumping his fists into the air while chuckles of amazement escaped his lips. In the surveillance room, all four spectating students were equally amazed and delighted at the victory of their classmates. Ochaco and Tsuyu were jumping into their air while their hands were locked, and Momo's onyx eyes were glistering brightly as her hands flew up over her mouth.

"They really did it! They actually captured All Might!" Ochaco beamed.

"Unbelievable," a stunned Iida said.

"Their power was incredible," Shoto added, "It shows just how much more work we have to do to keep up."

In the combat arena, Izuku's energetic and spirited attention directed itself toward Shigeo, whose energy was much more toned down but was still smiling. They still won, after all, and they did it together.

"We did just as you said we would, Kageyama! We won together! Man, am I glad we listened to you!" The fanboy held his hand out for a high-five, and his friend more than eagerly met that high-five. While the two of them were celebrating with each other, Katsuki was feeling his own sense of pride. Even though he hadn't done it alone, the fact remained that he was still the one who put the handcuffs on him, and they'd won against the strongest man on the planet.

"Who's the number one hero now, All Might? This is just the first step on my path to surpassing you, so you better get comfortable on the ground, cuz eventually, I'll make sure you're on it again."

The number one hero chuckled at the student's brazen attitude. "Boastful, aren't you? Well, in this case, I'd say it's well-earned. After all, it's not every day you can say that you beat the Symbol of Peace." All Might exchanged glances with all three of the students, his large smile widening as his heart swelled with pride. "All three of you were incredible. You all managed to put aside your differences and worked together to fight me. Each of you played an important role in this battle, and there's no way any of you could've won without the other to help. As a team, you saved your friends and won, like true heroes."

Hearing praise like this from the number one hero was a truly humbling experience, and the three of them couldn't help but take pride in knowing the symbol of peace was giving them such praise.

Suddenly, Mob coughed up more blood and once again nearly fell to the ground, narrowly being caught by Midoriya. "Kageyama's hurt really bad. He needs to see Recovery Girl right away."

"And what about you two? Are you managing well?"

"I think I'm alright."

"Pfff, I'm not a wimp. I don't need any treatment." Midoriya hadn't taken really taken any of All Might's blows, so he wasn't really banged up. Bakugo, on the other hand, was a different story. Truth be told, his entire body felt like it was aching. Though he'd held back, All Might's blows still packed a punch, and Bakugo had taken quite a few of those blows. Recovery Girl, having seen the extent of the damage, believed that the boy needed some treatment, and had already sent three stretchers.

Though Midoriya had indeed been fine, Bakugo's tough guy act was exposed and by the time the stretcher had arrived, he'd already passed out, and Kageyama found he was close to slipping into unconsciousness. The two of them were then taken out on the stretcher, and with that, the final exams were over.

The sun had already begun to set, and the two students of Class 1-A were sitting inside Recovery Girl's office, stretched out on beds, while All Might stood beside them to see how they were doing. Izuku had come with them, but after being convinced by All Might they were fine, he decided to take his leave. Recovery Girl had just finished taking some x-rays of Kageyama's chest after telling her of his injuries and where he was hurting most. Just as he'd suspected, three of his left ribs had been broken by All Might's Detroit Smash, and the rest of his body wasn't much better either.

The school nurse's eyebrows furrowed, and she waved her cane at the number one hero. "All Might, you really don't know how to hold back, you know that? If you'd hit either of these two any harder, they'd have suffered permanent damage! Hurting my pupil so badly is just unacceptable!"

The esper felt lightly flattered by how highly the school nurse thought of him. "Please, you don't have to worry about it, Recovery Girl. Besides, these injuries just give me some more good practice for my healing." Mob placed his hand over the fracture areas in his ribs and concentrated his energy to reform the bones. After only eight seconds, he felt the pain in his chest had disappeared. The school nurse beamed with pride.

"You've made quite some progress with your healing. Looks like my lessons with you've paid off after all."

"They sure have, and soon, I'll be experienced enough with my healing to fix you, All Might."

"Kageyama!"

Coming in from the hallway, Yaoyorozu poked her head into the office, worried features etched onto her face. "Are you alright? I was really worried when I saw how badly hurt you looked at the end of the match."

"A worry that was well-placed, Yaoyorozu. Honestly, I'm surprised Kageyama wasn't crippled when you punched him through half the city," replied Recovery Girl, poking All Might in leg.

"Alright, alright, I admit it, I was especially rough with Kageyama, but that's only because I knew he could take it."

Shigeo smiled at her to give her reassurance. "Don't worry, Yaoyorozu. I'll be fine." He felt his heart slightly flutter in knowing that she'd actually bothered to come and see how he was doing, being the only person besides Izuku to extend him that courtesy. It made him see that he was a very special friend to her, and that was something he took great pride in.

"Well, if you say so. And spectacular job you did in your exam. You managed to actually best All Might, a feat that would seem impossible." The student looked at the number one hero and bowed respectfully. "I hope that didn't offend you, All Might."

"No, you said it just as it is."

Yaoyorozu waved her friend farewell and departed. As she left, Shigeo reclined his head back into his pillow. The final exams had ended, and the school year had nearly come to an end. Some of the students had learned their weaknesses and overcame them thanks to the help of others, some learned what it really meant to be a hero, while some of them unfortunately tasted failure, and many of them had come together to become better people. Together, the students would move toward bright new goals and endeavor to become the best heroes they could be.

Mob Psycho 100 Ultra Analysis

- Each weight was about five tons, for a total of twenty tons.

There goes the final exam! Did you guys like what I did for the fight with All Might? I took a bit to consider what would really be best, and I didn't like how a fight with any other U.A. teacher would end. I also didn't want to change the vital character development for both Izuku and Katsuki, so here, not only did all three characters experience personal development, but the battle ended in a different way, without Mob having to use his 100% mode, which I think would've been boring and predictable. Also, I increased the weight of the restraints because I always found it kind of stupid that they didn't take All Might's super strength into consideration. A few hundred pounds probably feels like paper to him, so I thought increasing the weight seemed more appropriate.

For the other three-man team, I didn't really put too much thought into it. Like the Iida vs. Ochaco fight in the Sports Festival, I only wrote this scene because I had to, not because I really wanted to. I chose based on what I thought seemed the most logical, and I couldn't really think of anywhere else where Jirou could really fit in. If people don't really like it, that's honestly fine. I tried to skip the other fights and not rehash canon as much as possible. Well, until Chapter 32!
