Privacy was something few would find on this tropical island.
Well, in most cases. Though the sun provided sweltering heat that was unbearable to those who went outside, some of the couples invited to the island actually stayed indoors.
For example, in the room opposite Vincent and Lucrecia was a room with a 3 on it, and inside a red headed girl with a lean build had just come out of the bath. She appeared refreshed and ready for the next day, having washed away all the dirt and grim of what she was doing before arriving unexpectedly at the island.
While the idea of taking an exquisite bath on an exotic island would have pleased her three years ago, Refia wasn't able to fully wrap her mind around that she was here. Part of her actually believed it was nothing but a dream that she would wake up from. Yet the bath she had just taken felt too real...
Standing in the room in a white bathrobe she dried out her hair. "Can't remember the last time I had something so...refreshing!"
She tossed the towel on the table and went over and sat down on the edge of the bed. Being a blacksmith made her body less delicate and stronger, but such a thing was to be expected of her profession and so she rolled with it.
She collapsed back onto the mattress and stared at the ceiling for a few long moments before the door that had led outside opened.
"Refia?"
The woman's eyes were closed as a silver haired young man got further into the room. He stopped when he saw her lying on the bed. "I managed to get room service to...get us a...meal.."
Suddenly remembering her state of dress Refia sat up and made sure the robe was wrapped tight around her form and glared right at her friend.
"Luneth! Avert your eyes!"
The poor guy closed his eyes and covered them with his hands for added effort. Too bad they couldn't hide how red his face was. "G-Geez, sorry! You should have-"
Refia was ignoring him and ran right back to the bathroom. She hadn't expected him to show up as soon as he had, but boy was she embarrassed. Especially so after he caught her off guard and dawdling. She slammed the door behind her and wanted to scream.
How could this have turned out like it did?
While Refia and Luneth had their issues, in the next down the hall from them another pair of youngsters were having a less than volatile conversation.
Maybe because the feeling between them was far more mutual and was outward and less hidden.
Yeul and Noel had been quiet and kept to themselves ever since the moogles had let them do what they pleased. Noel for his part had gone and found out that Serah and Snow as well as Lightning were also on the island. He had managed to talk to them all while Yeul had slept in the room. She had been greatly tired, possibly from the trip to the island however that had been done so he had let her sleep.
Both of them quietly spoke to each other about what the island could have that could be fun for them. Fun was something neither of them had fond memories of having given their past history.
Yet as they tried to keep their excitement in check, there was no holding back the feeling like this was going to be the greatest next few days of their young lives.
The room next to Noel and Yeul was in the same boat, though the air was filled with a perpetuated calm.
A man with bright red hair and wearing red armor that was that of a knight peered out the open balcony doors and onto the island. He was filled with uncertainty, while the white mage he was partnered with smiled lightly.
Flora was carefree than the knight but while she had some thoughts on the manner, anything to get away from an eventless journey was why she was open to why she was glad she was on this island.
Her only hope was that the knight named Setro would take the chance to relax for once in his life.
Finally, there was a room at the very end of the hall with the number 12 on it, and the situation in there was hot.
In more ways than one.
In the bed lay a sky pirate and a very special someone resting up against him.
Vaan had his arm around his slumbering Queen Ashelia B'nargin Dalmasca. Even though he had been summoned to go downstairs earlier he had ignored it in order to stay with Ashe in case she would freak out if he wasn't there with her. Not that she probably would, she could more than take care of herself in and out of battle, and he just thought it'd be better if he was with her.
And until she woke up he would not be going anywhere.
Then they could take advantage of the time they were gifted with, together.
