Aerith and Zack left the resort to explore the rest of the island the moment the opportunity arose. She didn't want to wait, and he didn't want to disappoint her, so they ate breakfast quickly enough and then got changed before stepping out onto the sand.

Zack had been the first outside, wearing black swimming shorts and slim sunglasses. His toned physique covered in scars, but he didn't mind. The number of things to do on the island clouded his mind and he began to think of things to do.

"There's the beach of course..." he raised a hand to shield his eyes from the glaring sun high in the sky. "But damn is it hot out here."

Of course, the sun would be hot, he thought. It is a tropical island after all.

"Anyway, wonder how long Aerith is going to be..."

As if right on que he heard footsteps in the sand approaching him from behind. He turned and was stopped dead in his tracks when he saw her. Aerith was wearing a one-piece swimsuit that was rose pink and modest at most, but the matching sheer skirt that was wrapped around her hips gave her a sort of appeal Zack couldn't help but love. Roses were pinned in her hair which explained why she was a bit later than her boyfriend in going outside. Flowers seemed to be the motif for it as they lined her hips and top of her swimsuit, little white and pink hibiscus flowers that signified peace and beauty. The irony on that was not lost to either of the two lovers, nor had it been to the moogles who had given Aerith this extremely specific outfit to wear.

Aerith herself wore it with pride and unfaltering bravery, given how she had never worn a swimsuit before (not having the time in Costa del Sol in her first journey either didn't help). The flower girl took notice of her boyfriend's gaping mouth and smiled, "Zack!"

Clearing his throat, the former SOLDIER scratched the back of his head nervously. "S-Sorry..."

Aerith huffed but smiled nonetheless in appreciation. She had taken a moment earlier to gape at his toned body, so for him to stare at her in return was a form of returning the favor. "So, have you thought of anything to do first?"

Shaking his head Zack crossed his arms. "Besides from getting out of this damn sun..." he wiped the newly formed sweat off his forehead. "Hope you put on sunscreen otherwise you'll be burnt to a crisp before lunch."

"That's nothing to worry about. I came extra prepared." On top of putting on the sunscreen Aerith had also been given a special item by the staff. It came in the form of a pink umbrella that she carried in her right hand. Zack had somehow missed noticing it and only took note of it when Aerith popped it open and was protected by its shade. "There's enough room for both of us."

Taking the invitation with glee Zack got under it with her and hooked an arm around hers. "Thank God for this..." He already felt comfortable, in more ways than one.

Aerith peered up at him with a gleeful expression. "Now then, shall we?"

"Squall! Come on other wise we're gonna miss out on the fun!"

Rinoa had called back to her husband who was taking his time walking through the sand. He tried to avoid the sun as much as he could by walking in the tree line while his lovely wife excitedly went through the sand a few feet away.

"What fun? This island isn't going anywhere. Let's take it slow."

Rinoa looked back to her husband. He hadn't been talkative this morning, and that was because he had been interrupted by the moogle's arrival for breakfast. Try as she might Rinoa knew that their intimate time had been ruined but she refused to say it was the moogle's fault. She walked over to him and grabbed his hand. "Oh, will you drop it? It's not the first time we were forced to stop making out because of outside forces. Doubt it will be the last either." She giggled, remembering when Zell had walked in on them once. She was certain Squall had never forgiven him for that and would have killed him had he not been so composed.

"Whatever you say..." he looked out at the beach which stretched for a mile or two along the tree line. The water was crystal blue and appealing. Well, it was to Rinoa. Squall wasn't a big fan of swimming, which was odd considering they were on a tropical island. Then again, this impromptu vacation hadn't given the wedded couple a choice in terms of venue. Silently Squall decided to put up with the it, just so he could spend time with his wife. Yet the first day was already off to a less than stellar start.

Luckily for him Rinoa knew how he was feeling without opening all the way. "Come here, Commander." She pulled him out onto the sand, the sun unforgiving with its hot rays. Squall wished he had brought a hat to wear to save himself some trouble. Still, his wife had a plan and he was along for the ride.

"Rinoa-"

She let go of his hand and stood before him with her hands on her hips. "How can I get you to enjoy yourself a bit more? I mean, look at me!" She spun in a circle, showing off the bright blue two-piece bikini she wore that showed off more skin than he had ever seen her wear in public. Taking notice of this Squall's sense of alertness went through the roof, not to mention his protectiveness of his wife went beyond the planet's atmosphere. He was certain that if he caught any guy looking at her the wrong way, he would hurt them.

Something told him Rinoa would find that appealing.

His wife tapped his shoulder to get his attention, "I know we have time to do anything we want, but we can take it slow whenever we want. So, let loose for today, okay? Please? For me?"

Her pleas registered with her husband and he responded accordingly. Squall crossed his arms over his broad chest. He wore only a white tank top and black shorts. Not the kind meant for swimming but that was fine with Rinoa. She knew he didn't like the water and wasn't going to force him into going out. "Just do me a favor. If we get alone later, away from others, that we finish what we started?"

Did he sound desperate? Rinoa thought so, and she found herself chuckling at the thought. "Deprived of your wife's loving? That is such a husband thing, Squall."

The former SeeD sighed, almost annoyed at how she figured him out without him even saying how he felt. Yet that was one of the reasons he and Rinoa got married in the first place. They understood each other without words being totally necessary. The fact that they loved each other on top of it was the cherry on top.

Sensing a disturbance in her husband Rinoa got in front of him and put her arms around his neck, pulling him close to whisper to him. "You need to settle down and relax, Mr. Leonhart."

Chuckling under his breath Squall put his hands on his wife's hips, "I was before, then we had to come outside."

"You could have said no and I would have complied."

"Then you would have complained to me all day until we went out anyway. It was a no win situation for me."

"True," said Rinoa before giving him a quick peck on the lips. "Still, we're out here, so let's make the best of it shall we?"

As much as he liked that idea Squall still had a reservation. "How so? I mean, where would we start?"

"Hmm," Rinoa thought for a moment, and soon enough a small smile came over her light colored lips. "Well, there is an area in the center of the island with a waterfall. We can start there. How's that sound?"

Sighing lightly Squall didn't have to think long for his answer. "Do I have a choice in the matter?" He smiled to show how despite his seeming reluctance he was more open to the option than he was letting on.

Rinoa decided to reward him by wrapping one of her legs around his and leaned her body onto him. He was able to stand straight despite his wife's actions. A small smile went across his lips.

Rinoa knew she had him and gave him a choice. "If you want to continue what we started earlier, then yes. Otherwise we can just walk along the beach all day and get sunburned…"

Squall liked that first option and put his hand on her thigh. "Which way is it to the waterfall?"
