OP1- Deal with the Devil- TiA

"Tomorrow when the farm boys find this

freak of nature, they will wrap his body

in newspaper and carry him to the museum.

On the Extinction Protection Reserve, the air roamed rich with oxygen. The bucket of massive slabs of meat swung idly beside the crimson-maned boy. A cheerful tune whistled from his lips as he crossed through the gigantic metal gate that opened them up to the rest of the island.

The sun was barely over the horizon, casting an ambient amber glare on the primordial place, the sounds of creatures already waking up in the distance replacing what he could only assume would be roosters crowing in farmlands. Trees towering far above the clouds rising in the distance shook as some of the more massive animals began to make their move for the day.

Suddenly, from behind him, his father's deep comforting voice called out. "Bokujou, hold on!" Turning back, he caught a glimpse of the giant of a man. Lightly jogging back, he began to help his father, Haishisareta Ochitsuku, load up a bucket of food.

"You should still be asleep, Dad. I can handle them by myself." Bokujou said, nudging the space where his father's right arm would normally be.

"Yes, but this is the only time I get to spend with you anymore, you think I'm going to miss it?" Ochitsuku said, bumping into him with his right side. "Plus, it's easier for us to get the food out there now rather than when the heat comes in."

With banter beginning between the father and son, they began to make their long journey around the reserve.

Coming upon one of the many rivers on the continental island, the two stopped. Letting out a whistle, Bokujou threw one of the slabs of meat into the air.

Erupting from the water, a massive crocodilian that easily dwarfed both of them snapped the meal in its jaws. Landing on the ground with a loud thud, it looked at the two with complacent eyes. Following behind it, several others began to exit the river, coming to shore where they waited for their meals to be placed for them.

"Hey, Dad, did you know that the biggest crocodiles in the rest of the world are about twenty feet at most?" Bokujou excitedly said. It had only been two years since he had begun going to a public school, and since then, he was constantly learning things about the "modern world."

His father gave a light chuckle before looking over at his son. "I did, actually. I had to handle something like that in Australia while I was working there." He couldn't help but laugh louder as the boy silently gestured to how large the sarcosuchus were in front of them, and then pretended as if the crocodiles he mentioned were like shrimps.

"And you should see the cats there! Some of them are so small they could fit in my hand!" Bokujou continued after the pair had finished passing out food to the crocodilians who all settled onto the river banks with full stomachs, ready to bask in the warm rays of the sun.

But tonight he is alive and in the north

field with his mother. It is a perfect

summer evening:

The duo arrived at the beginning of one of the prehistoric forests on the island, the massive trees making them feel like ants before their vast size. "Would you like the honor?" His father asked, gesturing to the currently empty expanse before them.

"Why, me?" Bokujou mockingly asked, playfully fanning himself. "Well, I suppose I could give it a try." Snickering to himself, he took in a deep breath before unleashing an ear splitting whistle that could be heard for miles. As the note trailed off, Ochitsuku and Bokujou stood idly as they waited.

In a matter of seconds, the ground began to shake as the sound of something massive approaching could be heard reverberating through the trees. Breaching the leafy expanse, a spinosaurus let out heavy breaths. It was clear she was an elder on the island, but her major size was still very prominent.

"Something's wrong, this old girl shouldn't be out this far this early in the morning." Ochitsuku sucked his teeth as his chartreuse eyes looked her over. "Some of the youngins must be bullying her out of the lake."

Bokujou let out a soft sigh as his father slowly walked to the hindlegs of the elderly dinosaur. With a sigh of his own, Ochitsuku slowly pet the side of her leg as he thought of what to do. Finally, he clicked his tongue. "Well then, looks like we've got to have a chat with them, now don't we?" The reptilian giant let out a pleased snort, prompting the Haishisareta men to nod.

Looking at his son, his eyebrows raised. "Do you think one of your babies could give us some help? I don't want to hurt this beautiful girl's neck." He gave a soft pat to the massive dinosaur's leg.

Bokujou's tanned face split into a wide grin. "Absolutely!" He contemplated who for a second, but decided on one of his closest creatures. Focusing himself, he began to feel the familiar feeling that came when he called his creatures from the island they all stayed on.

For a moment, just for a moment, the air displaced beside him as the invisible portal was created. In a matter of moments, a massive serpent with feathered wings that captured colours even unknown to man erupted forth. "Taihyou! Good morning~ I'm sorry if I woke you up, and I promise I was going to be over there soon!" He waved up at the titanic serpent, who snaked her large head down to playfully nudge the boy.

"Good morning, Bokujou. I expected no less from you. Is something wrong?" Taihyou spoke, her soft voice still booming in comparison to others.

"No, no~ None of that! My dad and I just needed some help getting to the lake, and it would take at least an hour to walk there." Bokujou smiled at her. "But one of my favorite girls could definitely help us get there faster!" He gave his trademark smile that took up the majority of his face.

And as the teal serpent looked at the boy, she saw happiness that had been lost for some time, but was finally regained. "Of course, you two can climb on." She lowered her neck, allowing the two of them to help each other up and sit down.

Making sure the two were comfortable, Taihyou began to slowly flap her wings and bring herself into the air. Letting out a sharp whistle, Ochitsuku motioned to the ancient dinosaur to follow them, to which she let out a thunderous roar as her footsteps shook the ground with each impact.

To call Taihyou fast...was an understatement. Her massive wings let her cleave through the air like butter, not slowed down at all by two people on her back. The giant heads of brachiosauruses and argentinosauruses began to peek through the canopy, enjoying a morning meal of leafy greens, while the unfortunate sound of what he could guess was an auroch being eaten could be heard. They gave a very large meal to the creatures throughout the day, but they couldn't satisfy their predator drive and hunger with that alone. Not the carnivores anyways. So, unfortunately, there were also a number of aurochs and other livestock animals that bred and roamed on the island.

With a content sigh, Bokujou leaned back with a smile on his face. There would never be a place that made him feel as comfortable as the reserve. Life was peaceful there. Animals that had been harmed by the world's mistakes and the cruel hand of fate and time were given a second chance there. Creatures that could never possibly manage to live beside each other in their own times all coexisted in harmony, and it was thanks to his family.

The oceans around the island may have been filled with animals that others would soil themselves at the thought of, but Bokujou had grown up swimming alongside them. The rivers may be full of forty foot long crocodiles and snakes twice the size of a school bus, but he was never scared to grab a sip of water from them. Because that was his home. He was raised alongside them and helped to raise them.

There was never a single thing that had gone wrong.

Until…

"Why are you doing this?! We were happy! Please, there are other ways we can spread the message!" Two amber shaded eyes met five polychromatic sets. Tears dotted his eyes.

A voice that rumbled like the heart of an earthquake broke through the night.

"Humans will never learn. Not like this place."

"We are here." Taihyou's soft voice called out to her passengers. "Do you want me to take you down?"

"Yes, please, Taihyou." Ochitsuku quickly said, to which Bokujou sat back up, lightly rubbing the silky covering over the left side of his face, fancy text stating, 'Beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' before changing to blocky letters that said, 'So look at the other side, there isn't one here.'

Hugging tightly to her neck, Ochitsuku's wispy blue hair clashed against the massive mane of crimson hair that flailed behind Bokujou as they picked up speed during their descent. With a sudden upturn, the two felt a sensation reminiscent of a roller coaster as Taihyou set herself softly on the ground, allowing the two to get a full look at the massive lake.

The moon rising over

the orchard, the wind in the grass.

Slicing through the water, several sails of spinosauruses rose high into the air as a small wake followed due to their paddling tails working hard to push them through the lake. On the shore, droves of tiktaalik made adjustments to their living arrangements, either beginning a journey to a less occupied water source, or simply getting out of the water for the morning, while diplocaulus were wading back into the shallows to moisturize.

Hollering a strange call, Ochitsuku beckoned the nearest young spinosauruses to the shore, where they began to stand on their hind legs as they switched from their quadrupedal stance. Just as some of the closest arrived at his position, the elderly spinosaurus broke through the brush. "Now, you all have been extremely rude to this girl, and I am putting my foot down right now."

While they understood what he was saying, the matriarch of the pack of spinosauruses let out a grim growl at the aged dinosaur. Beginning to step forward, it showed intent to attack the older reptilian. Before it could though, Ochitsuku quickly placed a gentle palm on the approaching matriarch's leg, and activated his quirk. Within seconds, any form of aggression or ill intent disappeared.

Haishisareta Ochitsuku

Quirk: Sedation

Ochitsuku is able to calm and sedate any living organism without fail with a single touch.

"Now, I just said I am putting my foot down! This old girl has been around for far longer than any of you, and you will show her respect!" Despite being tiny compared to the massive prehistoric creatures, his temper successfully put them in place.

After all, Ochitsuku was not the head handler of the Extinction Reversal Organization for nothing. They might have occasionally stepped out of line, but the one-armed man was quick to correct incidents like these.

"Now if I have to come back here for something like this again, I will not be happy, and neither will you! Do I make myself clear?!" Ochitsuku yelled, causing whimpers to erupt from the crowd as they sunk back into the water. Looking up at the older spinosaurus, he let out a giggle as she affectionately nudged him with her massive jaw as thanks for his help. "And that's how you get things done, Son." Ochitsuku said, turning to Bokujou.

Bokujou had always admired watching his father handle and wrangle the animals on the island that made him look like an ant, but were terrified by him being even the slightest bit angry with them. "That was very impressive, you show off." Sticking out his tongue, he climbed back on Taihyou's neck. "You coming?"

"I think I'll get your mother to come pick me up and help me out. You tend to your babies, I know they are probably already missing you." Ochitsuku waved off his son, knowing how much time he loved to spend with the creatures he had created. "And Bokujou?"

Bokujou's thick eyebrows raised in surprise as he looked at his father.

"Your mother and I are so proud of you, and we know you'll do amazing today." Ochitsuku gave a warm smile, a sense of pride surrounding him at how far his son had come.

Bokujou felt tears form in the wells of his eyes, but he quickly wiped them away with a sniffle. "When you see me next, I'll be an official hero school student."

Solemnly nodding, Ochitsuku turned around, pulling out a transceiver. "Hey, Sasakusei, could you come pick me up? I'm out…" Bokujou lost what he was saying as his father began to walk away.

"Alright, Taihyou, you heard him. Let's go home~" Bokujou softly said, a certain happiness in his voice. With blinding speed, the feathered serpent was high in the sky, and crossing the massive island.

As much as it could be considered an island, the reserve was easily three times the size of Japan, and gradually grew over time as the terraformers that worked for the organization continued to build on the landmass as to avoid crowding. It was a land safe from the passage of time.

Leaning closer to Taihyou, who he considered to be one of his children along with every creature he ever made, he excitedly spoke as he squinted his eyes to protect from the harsh wind. "Are you excited for today? We'll finally get to show how much we all have trained! Uchu will be forced to accept us!"

"Are you so sure that you have time to tend to everyone then?" Taihyou worriedly asked, not wanting her parent to miss out on something he had trained so hard for.

Patting her head, Bokujou reassured her. "No matter what, I will always have time for all of you." As they began to cross the ocean, massive shadows of ancient creatures could be seen below in the waters. But on the horizon, the island where all of Bokujou's children resided came into view. It wasn't quite as large as the reserve, but it was still a massive island nonetheless.

Beginning to pass into the territory of his island, he leaned over and shouted the waters below. "Good morning, Kaiyou!" A titanic tentacle as black as the night reached from the water, giving a short wave to the quickly passing boy. "Hey, could we stop by to see him before we start for the morning?" Bokujou quietly asked, prompting Taihyou to change course without a word.

They headed for a massive jungle akin to the one they left on the reserve, but their specific target was a clearing that was easily visible in the heart of the primeval jungle.

As they took closer to the ground, Bokujou dryly gulped as he let out a melancholic sigh. Taking up the clearing….was a mountainous figure of amber and mulberry scales. Landing beside the creature of unrivalled size, Taihyou didn't say a word as the one eyed boy hopped from her neck, slowly approaching the creature.

"Today was the day we were always waiting for. We trained for it for two years straight, you remember that?" Bokujou may have seemed like he was talking to himself, but he knew the creature could hear him. Somewhere in there...what he was saying was registering. "I really wish I could've had you by my side today. If I did, everyone would know that I was going to be one of the top students in the school with no problem…"

And as he stares into the sky, there

are twice as many stars as usual."

"I miss you, Zannin…" With a soft hand placed on the scales, Bokujou turned back to Taihyou. "I'll do great out there. For the both of us."

At the end of the rainbow there's happiness

And to find it how often I've tried.

Mornings in Kabukicho were...far from peaceful. But, truth be told, he had never really enjoyed the quiet, tranquil mornings that others desired. He preferred the tumultuous noise of cars blaring their horns and the sex workers that he called friends calling for bypassers. As he tossed off his poorly knitted, but still greatly appreciated, blanket, a small smile sat on his olive-toned face.

Today was a good day.

Walking to his window, he opened it and looked down to the streets. "Good morning, Koibito-kun! Good morning, Suki-chan!" The man and woman both looked upwards with a smile, the boy having grown on them over the years.

"Good morning, Genshi! Good luck on your entrance exam today!" The two spoke in unison, giving him a concise wave.

"I'll be down in a bit, I just have to eat some breakfast!" Genshi called back, sliding the window shut and beginning to get dressed for the day. It wasn't hard to see where his fashion sense had come from, given his closet filled entirely with colourful crop tops and slim-fitting pants, with a couple pairs of leather pants hanging up as well.

Some parents might stray their kids away from being around the type of people that Genshi called friends, but his father, Joutai Gazou, didn't. In fact, he encouraged it. They were stuck in what was once an unfortunate situation, but the two quickly made it into a good thing. He didn't have many friends that were around his age there, so he made up for it with the sex workers, "low-lifes", and those that others would label unsavory.

Feeling the familiar pounding of one of his daily migraines, Genshi's hand hovered over the collection of sunglasses he had in the cramped room. "Which one, which one…" He muttered to himself before picking up large octagonal magenta sunglasses. "You." Donning them, Genshi felt that they worked well with his neon-pink crop top and black pants. They had been a gift from Suki for his fifteenth birthday, and as much as he hated accepting them, he knew she had put a lot of thought into it.

As he left his room, he was almost immediately in the kitchen, an unfortunate feature of their tiny apartment, but something he had come to grow used to. The smell of burnt food immediately hit his nose, causing him to lightly wince, but continue forward. "What's for breakfast?"

Currently washing the dishes was none other than Gazou. His muscular frame crunched into itself as he furiously scrubbed at burnt residue on a pan, and his unkempt black hair was in a state of disarray. "Well, it was supposed to be omelettes."

"Was?" Genshi had to stifle laughter as his father placed what definitely looked like it once was an omelette.

"I don't know what happened, I followed the instructions perfectly." Placing his hand over his face, he shook his head in his palm before breaking out in chuckles that spread to his son. "I just wanted to give you something good to eat before you headed out to Ibaraki."

Genshi placed his hand on his father's shoulder as he crunched on the charred meal. "Itsh purfect dad." His words were garbled as he (painfully) swallowed it down. Nonetheless, he continued eating every piece. They couldn't afford to waste the food. "You did amazing, really."

Gazou nodded. "Hey, you know that Abura guy?"

"The rich asshole that keeps buying out apartments for casinos?" Of course he knew who he was. Genshi kept an almost obsessive amount of knowledge on rich locals and even rich corporations and CEOs of the world. He had a certain...hatred against them. They ruined the lives of those lower than them and made the world better for themselves only. Wealth was always the most corrupt thing in the world, always has been.

A smirk split through Gazou's face. "Well, news is that his son is trying to get into Uchu as well. If he makes it in and you ever see him? Make sure to check his ego for us, okay?" He lightly punched his son on the shoulder.

"Oh, I'll do that and more." Cracking his knuckles, Genshi gave a concise nod. "I'm gonna go hand out some water to everyone before I head off. I know they must be tired."

Gazou turned and looked through the fridge. "I don't think we have any-oh, you'll just make some?" As his son nodded, he did the same in response. "You're gonna do great out there. But don't think it'll be a cake walk, you're going to get beaten down out there. Okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, I know, you told me all this when I told you I wanted to go to your school. I'm ready to get some broken bones and black eyes!" Genshi said, but his father put a hand on his shoulder, staring deep in his eyes.

"I watched people die, Genshi. If you don't want to do this, you don't have to." It was rare, but Gazou could put aside his normally goofy self to give way for seriousness. "You will be lucky if broken bones and black eyes are the worst you deal with there. It's not going to be like anything you've ever experienced before."

Dryly gulping, Genshi nodded slowly. "This is what I was getting into, and it's what I'm going to do. No backing out here." He pumped his fist in the air. "Uchu Team Joutai!" He cheered their name, and he did so proud. He was going to make sure to carry on what his father started long ago. Opening the door, he gave a smile to his father before stepping out, ready to begin the day.

But my life is a race just a wild goose chase

And my dreams have always been denied.

Why have I always been a failure?

Quietly flying down the fleet of stairs, he did his best to not cause a ruckus and wake anyone who may be sleeping. Slowing his pace as he neared to ground level, he opened the door and was met with a familiar sight that he had grown to love. Bright neon signs and advertisements lining the streets, the roads beginning to be vacated as the drunks stumbled out of the way of approaching cars, their glazed eyes reflecting the headlights.

It was home. His home. And he would forever appreciate it.

Immediately heading to Suki and Koibito, his hands were embraced in a prismatic glow as the air began to become displaced around them, before suddenly two large water bottles began to form. "Here, you two. You stay hydrated today, you need the water!"

"Thanks, kid. You look out for me better than..well, anyone." Koibito said before downing nearly half of the bottle. He was fairly lean, but he was easily one of the most accessorized men that Genshi had ever seen. "Hey, we were looking for Moroi, you seen her when you were coming down?"

Genshi's eyebrows furrowed. "No...I didn't actually." He sighed for a moment. 'What have you gotten yourself into now, Moroi?' The woman was definitely a sweet one, but she often bit off more than she could chew, and got herself hurt in one way or another. "I'll find her, don't worry."

"Ah! Big hero man is already here doing his thing!" Suki cupped his face in her hands. "You're great, Genshi, don't let anyone tell you any different, not even yourself!" She pulled away to point a finger directly in his face.

Holding his hands up, he began to walk backwards. "Oh, trust me, I won't. I wouldn't risk your wrath." With a smirk plastered across his face, he entered his building again, heading for Moroi's apartment. He and his father had dinner there a few times. There wasn't a person in the apartment they hadn't had some form of meal with. His father came from the slums, and now he did too, and they were truly his people.

It was rare for many heroes to stick up for the lower class like them, they stuck to their own and never really cared about them below them. When large fights broke out, it was always the slums that got destroyed in favour of the uppity neighborhoods. But his father had aimed to break that, and so would he.

As he neared Moroi's door, the yelling became evident.

"Listen, bitch! I know you've got more money than this so why don't you stop playing games with me and give it up?!" It was Neikan. Her pimp. Some pimps were good to those underneath them...but Neikan was not.

All he was...was a disgusting excuse for a man who believed himself to be in control of Moroi's every move, when he wasn't worth the time of her day.

Moroi's sheepish voice could barely be heard going, "Please...I just needed it for my daughter…"

Without needing to hear another word, Genshi took a moment to knock on the door. When no one came to answer it, he took a deep breath. If her door was like everyone else's still, chances are it was pretty loose on the hinges.

Rearing up, he kicked the door down while mentally promising Moroi to fix it for her. This was easily enough to get the tiny man in a coat twice the size of his ego to look up in shock.

"That's a pretty manly daughter you've got there." Neikan sneered. "You on testosterone or something, kid?"

Standing motionless in the door frame, Genshi dully stared at the man.

"Hey, are you deaf, you little shit?"

Letting out a bored yawn, Genshi looked at Moroi. "You can get Kaji-chan and yourself out of here, Moroi-san."

Neikan's pale face changed into an expression of disgust. "Who the fuck you talking to?!" As Moroi attempted to get up, he violently wrenched his grip on her wrist, causing her to stifle a scream in pain. "I don't know who the hell you are, but you try some shit like that again and I'll be eating your bone marrow for breakfast."

"Did you read that in a "How to Insult" novel?" Cracking his neck, Genshi began to menacingly approach. "For someone who supposedly 'Runs These Streets', you sure seem like you're the one getting run."

In a blur of speed, Genshi slammed his fist into Neikan's stomach, knocking him into the worn down couch in the living room. As he groaned in pain and attempted to recover from the punch, Genshi turned to Moroi. "Now you can go. If you're hurt, just go see my father, I'm sure he can help patch you up."

"Genshi-kun, you don't need to do this, I don't want you or anyone else getting hurt!" Moroi quickly objected, but Genshi shook his head.

"Don't worry about me. I've got this handled, you just get out of here, yeah? I'll fix up any damages I cause." Genshi gave a heart-melting smile as she walked away.

Crudely coughing, Neikan wheezed a small bout of laughter out. "You think you're real tough, huh?"

"Hey, little man, tell me something. Have you ever fought before?" Genshi slyly turned to the shorter man who was now standing up. Without a word, Neikan attempted to grab at Genshi's throat, at which the boy easily stepped out of the way. "Cause, ya see, I have this whole entrance exam to Uchu thing today, and I was just really itching for a warmup. I'm sure you don't mind. Don't worry though, I'll take it easy on you and not use my quirk too much." He rolled his wrist as if trying to speed up what he was saying, but really, he was just doing it to antagonize the pimp.

Neikan tried to land another punch, but yet again, it was clear that he had very little actual fighting experience. "You talk too much, kid."

"On the contrary," Landing a series of blows to Neikan's face, abdomen, and crotch in quick succession, it left the man huddled into himself. "I believe I talk too little." Slamming the heel of his black wingtip shoes into the disgusting man's face, he proceeded to grind his heel further into him. "Let me make this abundantly clear. You're out. If I see you near this place again, I won't be the only one who rips you to pieces, but you'll wish I was."

Neikan grunted, trying to grab at Genshi's leg, causing the boy to then plant his knee into the pimp's face, using his hand to hold down either arm. "Am I clear, you pitiful whelp?"

The words took some time to come from Neikan's bleeding mouth, but they did still come. "Crystal." Placing his foot where his right hand was, Genshi sifted through the pockets of the extravagant coat. Finding the wad of cash, he took it and placed it on the ground. "Hey! That's my fucking money! I earned that shit, you fucking give it ba-"

He was quickly silenced by a sharp elbow to his jaw. "You didn't earn shit. You bullied it out of that sweet woman. So let me just repeat the rules to you. You come around again, and I will personally be the first and last face you see here."

What can the reason be?

I wonder if the world's to blame...

I wonder if it could be me?

As the two stood up, Genshi forcefully held him by the nape of his neck as he escorted him out of the building. After practically throwing him out of the door (And being met by the applause of the several watchers who knew the two), Genshi pulled out his glittery phone, beginning to text his dad.

Tell Moroi that I will fix her door when I get back, but it is safe to go home.

It was only a few seconds before a response came back.

K. I'll fix door.

Good ol' Gazou, concise as always in text. Luckily, the man was rarely one to hover or ask many questions, because the two had a mutual understanding that they normally would go out of their way to help the people around them.

Pocketing his phone, he left the building again and began to head for the train station to head to Ibaraki, handing out water bottles to everyone along the way.

I'm always chasing rainbows...

Sea spume amazingly managed to find its way into Bokujou's hair as he and Taihyou quickly blitzed across the ocean for Ibaraki. "I told you that you would be late." Taihyou calmly said as she picked up speed.

"Hush! I know, you're right, but hush!" Bokujou playfully shushed her as the full view of the Hitachi Seaside Park came into view. The nemophilias truly were an amazing sight to behold, as their light blue petals blanketed the comforting hill. But that wasn't his destination. No, his destination was Uchu Academy.

And sure enough, after following a blanket of trees with multicoloured leaves and strangely black blossoms that didn't seem at all natural, the amazing construct that was the academy came into view.

A beautiful display of crystalline glory that would awe even the most experienced critic. Sleek, yet jagged. Dangerous, yet enticing. The main building that was most upfront was primarily crimson, silver, and jet black in colour, its colours wonderfully complementing each other as they melded together into an imposing building.

However, those taking the entrance exams were told to go to the auditorium building, which almost looked like an astronomer's tower. A small black base of the building opened up to a massive sangria purple crystalline dome that rested atop the base, the sunlight dancing off of it in jovial rays.

"Hey, Taihyou, just go down to the main gates, please? I want to feeeeeel the glory of walking through them, ya know?" Bokujou innocently said, prompting Taihyou to oblige and land on the ground.

Plenty stared in awe at what looked to them like an actual dragon landing in front of them, but it was fairly normal to Bokujou, causing him to be slightly confused at the watching eyes. "Good luck today, Bokujou. If you need me, do not be afraid to call on me." Nodding, Bokujou bumped his head against hers. Opening up the portal, Taihyou slipped through and Bokujou was left alone at the massive, elegant gates.

'Today is the day. Today, I will become a hero.'

Holding his bare chest high, he triumphantly walked through the gate, a sense of pride suddenly filling him. As he looked at the scenery though, he remembered how awful he was at growing flowers.

Towering white asphodels clashed against the black blooms of the strange surrounding trees as candy tufts blanketed the ground. Crown imperial lilies were naturally spreading like a plague nearer to the actual main building, while the daphnes grew like massive hedges against the walls of Uchu's main building. The air smelled of coriander and honey, reminding him of the bee wyverns back on his island.

As he made his way to the auditorium, he excitedly greeted a large number of people, just excited to meet new people, but also for the chance to spread the message of his parents' organization and how it is saving the extinct species of yesterday today.

Some already knew about it, others didn't, but no matter what he still spread the message. His excitement overcame him eventually though as he stopped talking to people and made a straight shot for the auditorium.

The inside of it was barely lit, plenty of people stumbling over their own feet and one person even falling down, stumbling completely down the stairs to the stage where they were roughly stopped by the unforgiving wooden platform. Shaking his head at the unfortunate soul, Bokujou slowly made his way to the front. He wanted to be right where the action was, and luckily, he hadn't been late thanks to his amazing Taihyou, so he was able to get that spot.

Bouncing in his seat, people began to sit near him, but eyed the shirtless boy a few times before ultimately ignoring it. After about thirty minutes of waiting, and the sound of the auditorium increasing exponentially in that time, soft lavender spotlights were brought to life, giving attention to the stage.

Stepping out on stage was a strange man. He seemed lean, with no muscle present on his body from what Bokujou could see. What appeared to be a standard tuxedo lined his frame, but the coat was greatly enlarged to almost resemble a formal trench coat. His tanned skin seemed to hold a certain...exuberance, while his eyes were shielded by a hot pink visor that went from ear to ear. The most unusual quality though...was the presence of pink mist in place of hair, this mist having a life of its own as it whipped to and fro, shifting and moving as it pleased.

Tapping the sleek microphone on the stage, he cleared his throat. "Good morning, everyone. My name is Iten Kasumi, I am a teacher at this amazing school and a former student of it. I would like to welcome you all to…" He paused, almost as if charging up. "UCHUUUU!" With a certain panache and flair, he declared the academy to everyone. It seemed, though, that people were supposed to clap, which Bokujou was completely lost on as most others began to clap loudly.

As the clapping settled down, a potential student called out from the crowd. "Bless you!" Bokujou couldn't believe that they were honestly trying to make fun of the school they were trying to apply to, but for some reason, they did and managed to earn only a few chuckles from around them.

Kasumi looked to the source of the voice before straightening his tie. A fragment of his hair suddenly separated from his head, forming a small portal to his right, and a separate portal forming beside the boy who shouted the joke. Placing his hand through the portal, the teacher harshly slapped the boy, before pulling his hand back and closing the portals as the boy exclaimed in pain.

"Now, will there be any more jokes on the cutesy name of this academy?" Kasumi dully asked, to which no one said anything. "Very good. Because I assure you, Uchu is anything but that."

Taking a moment to drink some water, Kasumi continued. "Some of you may be aware of the true nature of Uchu Academy, some of you may not. We do not hold it against any of you who do not, as the media rarely enjoys covering us, or when they do, they paint us as pseudo-villains."

Beginning to pace, Kasumi carried the mic with him like a stand-up comedian, having to flail the wire to get it to properly follow him. "Here at Uchu, you will become a special kind of hero, known as a LAEF hero." Holding up a finger to all of the hands raising, he stopped them. "I assure you, it may sound like 'laugh', but it is no laughing matter. It is an acronym for 'Legally Authorized Excessive Force.' Does anyone know what that means?"

Again, as a few hands began to raise, he still stopped them. "Rhetorical questions, children, learn them. This means that, whereas normal heroes fight to incapacitate, you all will be trained to face the most dangerous and unhinged villains, and aim to kill them in the most extreme situations." Waving his hands about as if trying to avoid the immediate shock that was coming about, Kasumi practically danced about the stage as his speaking sped up. "Yes, yes, that may be very shocking to you, but it is a necessary case. "

"Twenty seven years ago, the number one Pro Hero, Deku, had to make a decision. Did he believe that Shigaraki Tomura was able to be saved, or would death be the only way to stop the cycle that began with his mentor, All For One. Ultimately, he decided death would be the only way." Wildly gesturing, Bokujou was fairly entertained by the man's animated nature while speaking. "This brought about what was called the 'Deku Trials' where many legal issues came about whether he was in the right for what he did and if he should be punished for it. Ultimately, at the end of those trials, this very academy came about."

Kasumi paused, letting these words sink in. "You see, LAEF heroes have always just been depicted as bloodthirsty, barely legal vigilantes in the eyes of the media, but you all would be some of the most important types of heroes around if you successfully made it through this school. You would be a necessary evil, yes, but you would also be the last hope of those that have been deemed unsaveable due to the danger of the villains. At a certain point, standard pro heroes can only do so much and are told to retreat, but LAEF heroes stay around when that happens, and fight until every last drop of blood is out of their body."

His words were...inspiring and terrifying at the same time, it was strange. Bokujou couldn't explain it, but he truly did feel like he would make a huge difference if he went through with this. A sense of importance.

"I understand if this is too much for some of you, and you are more than welcome to leave. No one will judge you for it." Kasumi calmly stated, placing the microphone back in its stand. Sure enough, droves of potential examinees began to stand up and leave, overwhelmed by what the man was saying. After it seemed that everyone had left, Kasumi gave a short nod. "Alright then. Now, on to more in depth matters." Stepping forward without the microphone, a number of portals opened in the auditorium, and his voice traveled through each of them.

"This school will break you down. You will be put through the most extreme and the most daunting forms of training you can imagine. Some of you may feel as though you are going to die, and that is the feeling you must cultivate and thrive on here. This school is not for the weak, it is not for the feeble-willed. To be a LAEF hero, you must be strong in some form of way, but your will is the most important of all."

'What a pep talk this guy is giving…' Bokujou thought to himself, finding himself shrinking in his seat as Kasumi stood directly in front of him talking to everyone. He was beginning to regret front row seats.

"More importantly, there is a chance you will die here. But you would very much so die protecting someone. This is the life of a hero like me. You are the last hope of those who most need you, but you are also your own hope. Never forget that." Kasumi took another gulp of his water, before turning back to everyone. "Now, we are going to have a small intermission. During this time, you can go out outside, converse among each other, get to know your potential future classmates, or if you need to, leave if this is too much for you. You have had your warnings, and at any point, you can very easily leave the exam site, or if it comes down to it, drop out of the school if you get in. After the intermission, you all will meet back here, and I will discuss the terms of the entrance exam."

Turning around, that was seemingly his message to everyone that their intermission began. Slowly, noise returned to the auditorium as talking began, and some ran for the door to get away from the school as soon as possible.

One thing was for sure though. For many…

Uchu was not what they expected at all.

Alright, yeah, yeah, I know, I just updated Spirit Assembly a little bit ago, why am I rebooting it? Well, because I realized the reason why Spirit Assembly was messing me up so badly was because of the fact that majority of the cast seemed to drain me of energy when I was trying to write them, and as I planned further into the future, plans seemed to work less and less.

Not only that, but I really fucked up my chances with the original SA because I had a very poor prologue and didn't show any of my plans, and I was taking too long to set everything together. But with this new prologue, I'm more confident in my writing, I have a chance to properly take my time determining the cast, and I have shown a great deal of plot stuff with the new prologue! (Also, yes, I will be deleting the old Spirit Assembly soon, apologies, but I don't want confusion.)

Just to reiterate it in case Kasumi's words weren't too clear, Uchu Academy is a school that specializes in producing Legally Authorized Excessive Force, or LAEF, heroes. These heroes are often deployed in far more dangerous and extreme cases than standard heroes, and can often handle more situations than standard ones. They are like this because of the fact that they are heroes that are essentially being trained to kill villains that are too dangerous to society and essentially "unsaveable." At Uchu, because of the extreme type of work that they will be doing, your characters absolutely have a chance of dying. Especially when Internships come around. But it can even happen before that, you never know.

I won't delve too much more at the moment, gotta leave something to surprise! But it will be expanded upon later on! Now, on to the rules and such!

RULES

1) Follow the form I give, please. One, it lets me know you at least read something in here, and two, it's just weird having to deal with another form.

2) Detail Detail Detail! If you don't have a lot of detail, your chance of being accepted just drops there. Plus, it helps me to understand your character and get a perfect mental image of them if there's more detail.

3) These are going to be extreme kids, so I'm willing to get extreme quirks! But, still be sensible with the quirks, and also remember that extreme offensive potential isn't everything! Support and Defense are extremely useful!

4) Like my good friend Pinky, if things begin to overlap and look like they may cause problems from similarities, I will most likely ask you to change that around. So, don't be scared to go unique with quirks, hairstyles, personalities, backstories, etc.

5) For those who previously submitted, I have already contacted those that I wanted to revamp, so if I didn't contact you, I'm going to (unfortunately) ask you to send a new character, simply because I think with the new information of what your characters will be doing as LAEF heroes, you all have the potential to make something completely different and new!

6) In total the cast will be 20 students, and Bokujou and Genshi take up two of those spots, so there are a total of 18 spots available to you all!

7) Unfortunately, I will only be taking Japanese OCs.

8) If anything is confusing, or you need further elaboration, do not hesitate to ask, and I will try my best to help!

9) Send the character in PM only with the subject being SA: (Character Name in Last Name-First Name format). For example, SA: Haishisareta Bokujou.

10) The deadline is September 1st EST time, but I'm potentially willing to flex on that. Additionally, I will not be accepting characters until the deadline unless it is an extreme case, so please, don't pester me to know if your character is accepted, but I will most definitely be in contact with you before the deadline to give praise, say anything that needs to be changed, etc.

Now, behold, the form! I will also place it on my profile.

BASIC

Name:(Simple stuff here, Please do it in format of Last Name- First Name, but through the form, of course, refer to them by their first name )

Nickname/Alias:(They got anything that they are called? Anything they would rather go by? This isn't where Hero Name goes. )

Hero Name:(Standard Stuff, have it relate to them in some way. This could be based on how they look, what they stand for, or what their Quirk does. You don't have to give it an epithet(Such as Everything Hero in Momo's hero name))

Gender:(I'm down with anything)

Sexuality:(Again, down with anything.)

Age & Birthday:(As a first year, they must be 15-16. For birthday, keep it to a Month-Day format. Don't worry about year.)

Nationality:(As I said, unless I approve it, I'm only taking Japanese OCs)

APPEARANCE (I'll repeat it multiple times. Extremely drastic things should be linked to their Quirk. I will only allow one or two cases like Tokoyami, where they have a wild appearance that has nothing to do with their Quirk. But it must be because of family related stuff.)

Height & Weight: (Please put height in feet'inches" format and weight in pounds. Please make sure they match each other. You can not be 6'5" and 95 lbs. Unless, of course, Quirk somehow allows for this. Anything extreme here should be because of a Quirk. If you're like me though, and have absolutely no skill in weight calculation, you can literally forget it because I can just do inferences by body type in the case that I ever need it in the first place)

Hair Colour: (Go as crazy or as normal as you want. Want them to have only a single streak of hair that is the colour of a rainbow, and then have literally no other hair? Go right ahead. I want to see what crazy things I can get. Does their Quirk affect their hair colour? Tell me!)

Hair Length & Style: (How long is their hair? Do they keep it up in a bun at all times? Do they keep it styled in some special way? I'm not going to accept replications of hair style here, so try to make it unique. Is their hair the way it is because of their Quirk? Tell me!)

Eye Colour:( Is their entire eye, sclera and all, black? Is their pupil a special shape? Are their irises different colours? Tell me here! Again, anything quirk related, please tell me about it.)

Voice: (How do they talk? What do they sound like? Just their mannerisms, accents, those sort of things here.)

Seiyuu: (This would be a VA that you truly feel works for your character! I don't have an amazing repertoire of specific seiyuu knowledge, but I could try my best to help you here!

Skin tone: (I mean, just as long as you keep it to human skin tones(Unless Quirk gives a reason). Are they as dark as the endless void? Are they as white as snow?)

Body Type:( Are they muscular? Are they skeletal? Are they busty? Pretty simple stuff here, just give me a description of their body here. If you are submitting a female and wish to, you can include a cup size here as well. I really don't know how many times I'm going to mention it, it's not some focal point of characters. Most of the time at least. If a mutant quirk affects this, please, let me know, considering that's a big piece of their body type, and that most definitely will get mentioned a good amount. Please mention any bodily piercings here.)

Facial Description:(How is their face shaped? Is it chiseled? Is it round? Is it sharp? That stuff. What are their lips like? Thin? Plump? Is their nose petite? Large? Are their ears somewhat pointy? Small? These sort of things should go here. Also, please mention any facial piercings here.)

Markings: (This is anything from scars to birthmarks. Just marks that are lasting on their body essentially.)

Clothing Style: (What are their normal outfits outside of class? Please don't give me a specific set of clothes, but rather, a general description of the types of clothes they wear. They can be as cool or as bland as you want.)

Uniform Style or Alterations:(First off, let me just say, if they have a Mutation type Quirk, they will of course have accommodations made for them.

So, Male Uniforms include a black long sleeved dress shirt(That can be rolled up/cuffed and buttoned to stay rolled up) with two small school emblems on the collar of the shirt, a white formal vest(Three button style, with the preferred method being two buttons always being buttoned), a red blazer with the school insignia on the right side of the chest, along with black or dark grey pants. All students wear a white tie with their outfit.

Female Uniforms include a black long sleeved dress shirt with two small school emblems on the collar, red blazer with the school insignia on the right side of the chest, white tie, and a mid-thigh to knee length(Student's choice.) with the school's red and black colours.

The main insignia that is widely recognized as Uchu's logo, and worn proud on the right side of the blazer is a lotus flower with the letters LAEF in crimson below the flower. The emblems on the collar are a LA on the right side, and EF on the left.

Finally, the Uchu uniform has wingtip styled sharp dress shoes for footwear, however, if anyone wants to(for whatever reason they hate themselves, or just like looking like they step on people for a living), they can opt for wedge style heels, no matter the gender.)

Accessories: (Do they have any form of accessories they wear? Any bracelets, necklaces, rings, things like that.)

PERSONAL

Backstory: ( Remember, not every hero has dead parents, not every modern day person has murdered a bear and its mother with their bear (get it) hands. You don't have to make them a Shakespearean tragedy, you can still make them interesting without it. But please, one huge thing that I need here is...why become a LAEF hero of all kinds of heroes?)

Family: (This could be blood related or just someone they consider close enough to be family. Include their name, age, relation, some stuff about their personality and appearance, you know, that sort of thing.)

Personality: ( I want it detailed, I want it beautiful, I want it unique. An entire class of brooding edgelords, or social butterflies, just makes for an uninteresting class. THIS IS YOUR CHARACTER'S VERY ESSENCE. IF A SOUL SWAP HAPPENED, THIS IS WHAT CARRIES OVER. So please, put that work into your character's fabric of reality. )

Likes: (Basic Stuff. It is human to like things, and even inhumans like things, that's just the way things work. At least give me like...five things, at least, but please, if you can manage it, more?)

Dislikes: (Basic Stuff. Knowing what your character dislikes helps me to get a better picture of em~)

Strengths: (What are some of their physical strengths? What are some of their strengths regarding them as a person? Try to have them equal to or lesser than weaknesses.)

Weaknesses: (Where does their physicality and body fail them? Where does their personality and mannerisms fail them? That's the sort of stuff for here! Try to have them equal to or greater than strengths.)

Habits:(These can be bad, they can be weird, they can be funny, but come on, at least give them one. I dance when I sweep, and I play a finger-band of instruments to every song I listen to. )

Hobbies:(At least one. Everyone has a hobby, everyone has something they do in their past time, and NO! Training can not be your only hobby!)

Fears:(Basic Stuff, at least one here, everyone is scared of something. I'm scared of the ocean. Fuck the ocean. Fuck everything about that slippery bastard. We only know 5% of what makes up 70% of our world, I don't trust that.)

Secrets:(Again, at least one. We all have secrets. All of us. And it doesn't have to be something extreme! It could literally just be something simple like, for example, I used to go through a crossdressing phase but only in privacy.)

Ambitions: (What do they want to do as a LAEF Hero? Why are they following this path? What is their endgame?)

Scenes: (Anything you picture your character doing? Could be huge, could be small, I wanna hear it all!)

Quotes:(You know, something to give me a little bit of insight into your character. At least 5 quotes.)

QUIRK

Quirk Name:(This can be really basic, this can be eloquent, whatever your want.)

Quirk Type:(Emitter, Transformation, or Mutant. No, there will be no hybrids of Emitter and Mutant, or Mutant and Transformation, or of all three. One type. Also, no All for One or One for All copies. You can do something like Monoma, sure, but nothing like either of the previously mentioned two.)

Application/Effects:(Nicely put, what does their Quirk do? How does it function, what are it's uses, that sort of thing.)

Quirk Strengths:(What are the pros of their Quirk? Must have at least three, must be equal to or less than weaknesses.)

Quirk Weaknesses:(What are the cons of their Quirk? Must have at least three, must be equal to or greater than strengths.)

Hero Outfit:(Hero Outfits normally help the hero to cover their weaknesses, enhance their strengths, that sort of thing. Be as creative as you want with these, but at the same time, don't make a Hero Outfit that makes them invulnerable in every way as well as makes them the strongest person in the world. Outfits don't do that.)

Fighting Style: (How do your characters fight? Are they the type to throw themselves across the battlefield while unleashing devastating attacks, or the type to be stationary while delivering concise strikes? I'm huge on fighting and action scenes, so please, put a lot of detail into this?)

Extra: This just goes for anything that I didn't cover in the form already, please, if you want, fill this up with all the miscellaneous stuff you want!
