Episode 3: French is an Eiffel Language

"Last time, on the Ridonculous Race..." Don began to narrate the recap, while footage of the previous episode played in Morocco. "After shopping for spices and camel riding through the Moroccan desert, our teams built up a hearty appetite, and I lost mine. These people are disgusting." footage of the teams eating their disgusting stew played.

"The winners were our athletic daters Stephanie and Ryan, and in my book, everyone else was a loser. But of course, only one of them was cut from the race. That team ended up being the Tennis Rivals, big shock. At least whoever is in their wills got a head start." Don remarked, while footage played of Dimitri pushing the Vegans away and bashing in the heads of Gerry and Pete.

Don now stepped into the chill zone, where Stephanie and Ryan were sitting on the Moroccan sofa behind him, hugging each other nervously. "But that was then, and this is... the Ridonculous Race!"

After the intro, Don was still at the chill zone, but now the Daters were standing on the carpet. "Yesterday's chill zone is today's starting line! Teams depart in the order they arrived, starting with yesterday's winners, the confident as ever Daters!" Don stated, although the faces on the Daters begged to disagree.

Stephanie hit the button on the first Don Box, then handed the tip to Ryan. "It'd be pretty Eiffel to lose your life near this landmark, but catch a flight here for your next tip." Ryan read the tip.

Stephanie snatched it from him, reading it herself. "Oh it's a stupid pun. That's Paris. Move!" Stephanie ordered, and the two ran from the chill zone.

Postcards of Paris now appeared on screen, with Don walking into them to introduce the location. "Paris, France, home of the Mona Lisa, tiny coffee, and other things that annoy me like you wouldn't believe." a mime was shown, and indeed looked annoying to be around.

Don was now in the Eiffel Tower, standing at a balcony. "Once in Paris, teams must make their way here at the Eiffel Tower to find their next tip!" Don pointed to the Don Box down on the ground.

There were a ton of blue motorized scooters among other vehicles, although there were exactly 17 scooters, so it was clear that the scooters were meant for the cast. Ryan sat down on one of them, then patted the back. "Hop on babe!" he told her urgently.

Stephanie hopped on the back, and Ryan sped off down the road to the airport. The Best Friends arrived next, and Devin took the helm for their scooter. "Come on Carrie, we're in 2nd, we don't wanna lose it!" Devin encouraged Carrie.

Carrie sat down on the back of the scooter, nodding her head nervously. She looked back to see the other teams coming, which just made her more nervous. "At least we're going to Paris..." she muttered as Devin started the scooter and sped off.

-Interview: Best Friends-

Carrie was tearing up a little, while Devin had one arm around her. "Paris is supposed to be the most romantic place on Earth, but now... it could be the last place on Earth we visit!" Carrie blurted out, sniffling up her tears.

Devin patted her shoulder, miserable seeing her like this. "It's okay Carrie, we're ahead of almost everyone here. As long as we work together, we'll get through this!" he tried to encourage her more, but Carrie then burst in tears completely.

-End Interview-

The Ice Dancers grabbed their tip next, already prancing towards the scooters as soon as they grabbed it. "Ooh! Paris! This shall be a breeze for us!" Jacques declared, reading the tip as they ran.

"As long as we don't get bronze again... MOVE IT!" Josee demanded, sitting down on their scooter and starting it up right away.

"Woah! Calm down Josee!" Jacques urged her, barely having enough time to get on the scooter as Josee sped off in it.

The Geniuses ran up to the scooters, and Mary sat down on one of them, getting it started. "We're heading to Paris, care to hop on?" Mary asked Ellody.

Ellody sat down on the back, nodding her head. "Of course, I was just observing the other scooters briefly. They all appear to be the same model, so their top speeds should not differ in any circumstance. We shall be the 4th team to the airport." Ellody stated as Mary started it up and began to drive.

-Interview: Geniuses-

Ellody adjusted her glasses before speaking, with Mary just watching her. "I am very well versed in auto mechanics. It is included in the STEM curriculum, so it's only elementary information. These scooters have set top speeds, likely to keep the race from being decided by chance. That would not be engaging television." Ellody stated, talking with one finger raises.

Mary nodded. "She took the auto mechanic elective course, I opted for aeromechanics. Both have their applications. Our friend Scarlett specializes in biomechanics, although she has her own troubles currently. I'm sure our prowess will still carry us forward."

-End Interview-

The Sisters were right after the Geniuses, and Emma just read the tip to herself as she sat down on the scooter to drive. "What does the tip say?" Kitty asked, trying to peek at it as she sat down on the back.

"We're going to Paris. No wasting time with questions like that okay Kit?" Emma replied, speaking in a rushed tone as she started the scooter and drove off.

As soon as they took off though, they heard a police siren right behind them. "This is the police! Pull over!" MacArthur shouted, cupping a hand over her mouth to echo her voice a little.

Emma instinctively pulled over, although Ellody looked back and saw that it was just the police cadets. "Hmm, they're playing dirty. That won't fool us though, Canadian sirens would be used in Morocco, obviously." Ellody pointed out, with Mary not missing a beat and just kept driving.

Since the scooters had speed caps, the Police Cadets now just drove behind the Geniuses but ahead of the Sisters now. "Nice, gonna milk that bit for as long as we can!" MacArthur praised herself, offering a high five to Sanders who was currently driving.

"Not high fiving, can't you see I'm driving? It's against the law to take your hands off the handles here." Sanders told her partner.

Chet ran to the scooter, although Lorenzo pushed him out of the way and hopped on first. "Shotgun! Got it!" Lorenzo declared.

Chet grumbled and sat down on the back, although Lorenzo's gloating let the Surfer Dudes get on their scooter and take off before them. "Dude! You just let us get passed up! Go!" Chet shouted.

"Don't get your panties in a twist, you'd drive super slow anyway!" Lorenzo insulted Chet, then sped off.

The Fashion Bloggers ran up to their scooter and Jen sat down to drive while Tom climbed onto the back. They didn't bother buying any souvenirs, so they were able to leave with no problems.

-Interview: Fashion Bloggers-

Tom and Jen both actually looked happy, with Jen holding their travel tip. "Okay, so like, I know we're going to die and all, but we get to visit the fashion capital of the world!" Jen exclaimed, showing her tip to the camera.

"Just think of all the designer clothes!" Tom added. "We'll be studded and go out in style! Eeeeee!" both he and Jen squealed together.

-End Interview-

Kelly sat down on one of the scooters, and Taylor soon hopped on right after her. "You better not take it slow mom! Just floor it!" Taylor demanded, already expecting Kelly to screw things up.

"Don't worry honey, mommy's got this! I was quite the motorcyclist when your father and I dated." Kelly assured Taylor as she started the scooter.

"Don't care! Just shut up and drive!" Taylor ordered, pointing forward.

Kelly rolled her eyes and sped off, although she did cost them a little bit of time. "You got it sweetie..." she mumbled.

Owen sat down on one of the scooters next, although once Noah sat down on the back and Owen began to drive, it was clear that Owen was weighing down their scooter. "Oh perfect, just what we needed when we're already near the back." Noah remarked, hearing the engine sputter a bit.

Owen nervously laughed, just flooring the gas pedal and going as fast as the scooter would allow them to. "It'll be fine! It's not like we'll get passed up or anything!" Owen tried to stay positive.

"Slow down Jay! You're making my nose bleed!" Mickey shouted at his brother as the Adversity Twins now zoomed past Owen and Noah.

Once they rocketed by, Noah gave Owen a sharp glance. "Okay maybe you're right..." Owen admitted worriedly.

-Interview: Adversity Twins-

Mickey was swaying back and forth, a bloody tissue in his nose. "Zoooom..." Mickey let out woozily.

Jay sighed, crossing his arms. "Mickey can't handle traveling fast... in any direction. It's something you get used to."

-End Interview-

Rock was driving for the Rockers while Spud just sat in the back and ate from a bag of chips. Both them and the Dwaynes passed up the Reality TV Pros since they weren't weighed down. "Are you sure it's safe for you to be driving sport? You know I could get us to the airport safely." Dwayne asked Junior, since Junior was driving.

"I got it Dad, I've played enough Cliff Racer, I know what I'm doing!" Junior assured Dwayne, although this just made his father worry more.

Crimson opened up an umbrella as she sat down on the back of their scooter, while Ennui took the driver's seat and sped off at slightly below the maximum speed.

Laurie and Miles ran up to the scooters, wincing at what they'd have to do. "Is there a pedal scooter around? We need to keep our carbon footprint small." Miles asked, looking around.

Laurie sat down on one of the motor scooters though, patting the backseat. "There's no time for that! We're already near the back, we can't take the eco-friendly route this time." Laurie argued.

Miles didn't see any pedal scooter nearby, so she sighed and sat down on the backseat. "I hope Mother Earth forgives us..." Miles said worriedly.

"The ends justify the means Miles. This is how we have to do it! Do you want to end up like the Tennis Rivals?" Laurie reminded her partner.

Miles tensed up and shook her head. "That's what I thought, now hang on!" Laurie directed, then floored the gas and sped off.

Leonard and Tammy were the last ones to get their tip and board a scooter, with Leonard driving and speeding off soon after. "Tammy, did you apply the speed buffs? You know we'll need them if we're going to catch up today." Leonard asked.

Tammy shook her head, then pulled out her ocarina. "Even better, I'll apply a field buff to the both of us! They'll never see it coming." Tammy replied, then began to play her ocarina.

-Interview: LARPers-

Tammy was still playing a tune with her ocarina, while Leonard had a confident smile. "Tammy's spells are the finest in the land! Her enchanting ocarina skills are what bards wish they could have! So needless to say, we'll be just fine."

-End Interview-

At the entrance to the airport, Mom and Daughter soon arrived on their scooter. "Phew, we passed up those fashion people, let's book our flight sweetie!" Kelly said as she stepped off their scooter.

Taylor had been filing her nails though, and held a finger to Kelly. "Hold on, I'm allllmost done here. Don't wanna leave these uneven." Taylor told her, briefly showing her nails to her mother.

Tom and Jen arrived after this, and they were quick to get off their scooter and run inside the airport. Kelly saw this and began to panic. "You can do that on the plane!" Kelly stated, then grabbed Taylor's arm.

Taylor ended up dropping her nail file as Kelly dragged her into the airport, which of course got a shrill scream to come from her as this happened. "Mom! That was my only nail file I brought! Now my nails are gonna be uneven for the rest of the race!" Taylor complained.

Kelly swore under her breath as the two of them got in line behind the Fashion Bloggers, looking back at her daughter for a moment. "Taylor dear, we can pick something up in Paris, it'll be fine. We've got bigger things to worry about!" Kelly reminded Taylor, who was still looking over her last two unfiled nails with great concern.

Tom got the tickets for the Fashion Bloggers from the attendant at the counter, with him letting out a huge sigh of relief. "OMG, we got the last seats!" Jen exclaimed, looking at the tickets in his hand.

"Totally lucky! We might have time to do some shopping!" Tom added as the two of them ran off to board their flight. Taylor glared at Kelly after hearing the Fashion Bloggers' joyous exclamation, and the glare was soon returned.

-Interview: Mom and Daughter-

Both Kelly and Taylor had their arms crossed, but Taylor looked much madder. "Way to go mom, you blew it. Now we have to wait for the second flight!" Taylor blamed Kelly.

"I blew it!?" Kelly let out, appalled to be the one accused.

Taylor nodded her head. "Thank you for agreeing. If you didn't go into that stupid talk at the start, we'd be on the first flight to Paris right now!" Taylor remarked.

Kelly sighed, then stood up and just walked out of the interview room instead of arguing with Taylor. Taylor then just looked awkwardly at the camera. "Yeesh, touchy. I'm gonna have to do some serious carrying today."

-End Interview-

"Eight teams wait anxiously at the airport to board flight number two, which doesn't take off for another hour and a half. So we covered it with sad face stickers, which is hilarious." Don narrated, with a shot of the second plane being shown, and it was indeed covered in giant sad face stickers.

The inside of the first plane was shown next, with all nine teams in their seats. "But the first nine teams are already Paris-bound on flight number one." Don added as each of them were shown.

Stephanie and Ryan were chowing down on the in-flight protein bars, trying to stay calm.

Carrie was looking out the window longingly, while Devin read a magazine.

Jacques was taking a nap, while Josee kissed her lucky rabbit's foot.

Both Mary and Ellody were reading books, completely engrossed in them.

MacArthur was napping and snoring loudly, while Sanders read the in-flight safety pamphlet.

Emma was analyzing their tip for an extra clues, while Kitty was taking pictures of the sky from the view of the window.

Geoff and Brody were tossing potato chips into each other's mouths in a game of sorts.

Chet and Lorenzo refused to talk to each other, sitting in tense silence.

Tom was looking through a fashion magazine, while Jen was doing her makeup.

Soon enough, the plane landed on a runway, and the scene cut to the terminal inside the airport. "Flight number one has landed, and the race for first is on!" Don narrated.

A flight attendant walked up to the door to open it, but the Ice Dancers pushed it open and shoved the attendant aside as they rushed out the plane. The Police Cadets and Daters were right behind them, while the rest of the teams just jogged out the plane normally.

"Taxi! Olympians coming through!" Josee shouted as they ran out of the airport and to the sidewalk.

Of course, they were able to get into one of the taxis parked on the sidewalk, and they were off on their way. "Eiffel Tower, pronto!" Jacques requested urgently.

Ellody waved down a taxi, although as soon as it arrived, MacArthur shoved the Geniuses aside and got in herself. "Snooze you lose! Eiffel Tower here we go!" MacArthur told them as Sanders got in and closed the door.

Ellody scowled and clenched her fists, but Mary just casually pointed to one of the parked taxis. "There's plenty of rides available. I doubt the Cadets have strong navigation skills." Mary told her partner calmly.

The Geniuses got in one of the parked taxis, although the Daters got in the one in front of them and got a small head start. "If you let anyone pass up, I'm going to rearrange your entire face! Got that!?" Stephanie threatened the taxi driver, who stepped on the gas and sped off after being threatened.

Lorenzo ran into one of the taxis and shut the door before Chet could get in. "Ha! Get your own cab loser! Driver, go straight to the Eiffel Tower!" Lorenzo taunted Chet, blowing a raspberry at him as he rolled the window up.

Chet kicked the ground as Lorenzo's taxi left, but he just hurried over to one of the other parked taxis and got in. "Eiffel Tower, and you better beat the one that just left!" Chet demanded, pointing ahead at Lorenzo's taxi.

When the Fashion Bloggers got in their taxi, Tom showed the magazine he read on the plane to Jen. "I know we're supposed to go to the Eiffel Tower, but there's one corner shop just on the way there that has like, the best coats in the world! We have to check it out!" Tom suggested.

Jen hesitated, but as soon as she laid eyes on the fur coats in the magazine, her eyes lit up. "Oh, you are so totally right! We have an hour and a half anyway, we'll be fine!" Jen agreed.

Emma and Kitty got in their taxi, and Emma got her seatbelt on immediately. "Buckle up, because our driver is going to speed his way to the Eiffel Tower!" Emma instructed Kitty.

"Umm, how do you know that?" Kitty asked her.

"If he doesn't want to get accused of sexual harassment, then he better speed!" Emma threatened the driver, which of course got him to floor the gas pedal and start to weave his way through traffic.

-Interview: Sisters-

Kitty looked at Emma disapprovingly, while Emma didn't seem to care. "That was so totally not cool! You can't just threaten someone with a fake crime like that! He didn't do anything wrong!" Kitty shamed her sister.

Emma just shrugged. "I'm the law student, and with France's jurisdiction, it'd be a piece of cake to take him down for nothing. It's life or death here, I'm not going to lose because of a lazy taxi driver."

"You mean we're not going to lose right?" Kitty asked, pointing at herself and Emma back and forth.

-End Interview-

At the Eiffel Tower now, the first taxis began to arrive. "First to arrive! Gold medal here we com- GAH!" Josee began to cheer, but a taxi rear-ended theirs and knocked them out of their seats.

The Ice Dancers stumbled out of their taxi, soon seeing that the Police Cadets were the ones who had their taxi ram into theirs. "Nailed it!" MacArthur exclaimed as she and Sanders ran to the Don Box.

Sanders pressed the button on the Don Box and got their tip, while the Ice Dancers walked up to the box and the Daters ran up right behind them. "It's a botch or watch..." Sanders began to read the tip.

The scene panned to the left, where Don was standing next to an old looking artist next to a table with a stack of sketchpads on top of it. "In this botch or watch, whoever didn't eat the stew in Morocco must draw a caricature of their partner. When this local French artist approves of the drawing, they'll receive their next tip." Don went over how the challenge would go, and the stern face on the artist indicated the difficulty.

MacArthur grabbed one of the sketchpads, then a pencil from the cup next to the stack of pads. Jacques and Stephanie grabbed their pads right after her. "Oh, it's a drawing challenge! This is your kind of thing homie!" Devin encouraged Carrie after reading their tip.

Emma read their tip, then groaned when it said that Kitty had to do the challenge. "What's wrong sis? You know I do all kinds of drawings for my blog!" Kitty asked her.

"I could get this done quickly. Remember, a caricature has a minimum amount of 4 exaggerations, that artist is probably going to be a stickler about that." Emma stated, grabbing a sketchpad and handing it to Kitty.

Kitty smirked, grabbing a pencil. "Oh I'm gonna have a lot of exaggerations, don't you worry!" Kitty assured Emma playfully.

Lorenzo arrived at the Eiffel Tower in his taxi next, although he ended up getting rear ended by Chet's. "Ha! Beat you to the tip box dummy!" Chet mocked Lorenzo as he got out of his taxi first.

Geoff and Brody arrived right after them, with them jogging to the Don Box together. Geoff got the tip, then showed it to Brody. "Dude, I gotta draw you for this one. I've done sketches of Bridge for years now, this'll be a piece of cake!" Geoff told Brody, then ran to get a sketchpad.

Brody gave a thumbs up to Geoff, then stepped ahead of him and posed by flexing his muscles. "You got it dude! I can hold this all night!" Brody encouraged Geoff as he continued to flex.

-Interview: Surfer Dudes-

Brody flexed one of his muscles, then kept it perfectly still. "I can flex this thing for like, hours dude! Pretty cool huh?" Brody showed off to the camera, with both him and Geoff having proud smiles.

Geoff nodded in agreement. "Yeah, one time, they had this pull-up contest on the beach, dude hung for four hours! So yeah, I can draw you faster than that dude." Geoff assured Brody, high fiving the flexed arm.

-End Interview-

For the teams at the Eiffel Tower, the teams there were all hurrying to get their drawing done as fast as possible. Like Brody was, Ryan was posing for Stephanie by flexing his muscles and letting her draw them. "Oh you are so hot, it'll be hard to exaggerate just how gorgeous you look!" Stephanie exclaimed, trying to keep her mind in a happy place.

"Well I hope it isn't too hard babe, 'cuz we gotta make this fast!" Ryan replied, making his pecs move up and down at will.

"I'M TRYING!" Stephanie snapped at him, getting the attention of some of the other teams now. When she realized the commotion she made, Stephanie nervously giggled before going back to drawing. "Sorry, just... stressed." she apologized to Ryan, who didn't say anything else after that and just posed awkwardly.

Mary wasn't posing for Ellody as she drew her, just standing normally while her partner doodled. "Oh adrenaline, she clearly lacks proper emotional management." Ellody commented to Mary.

Mary nodded in agreement. "Clearly. How long do you predict she has until she suffers stress cardiomyopathy?" Mary asked, talking since she had nothing else to do.

"That depends on the dynamic with her partner and how well he can contain her stress. By choosing to remain silent, he is simply enabling the growth. I would allot 6 days until the inevitable." Ellody answered, with Mary nodding in agreement again.

"A bit morbid to count down the days until someone snaps isn't it?" Sanders chimed in, posing for MacArthur near where the Geniuses were.

Mary shook her head and raised a finger. "I wouldn't say so. These are merely observations of the competition, simply verbalized. You would have the same observations as well, whether you choose to voice them is a separate discussion." Mary disagreed, adjusting her glasses afterward.

"Hold still!" MacArthur shouted to her partner, making Sanders look away from the Geniuses and focus on posing again, ending their short interaction.

Over in the shopping district, the Fashion Bloggers had now stepped out of their taxi and walked into the coat store that Tom had seen in the magazine. "OMG, there are like, so many more coats here than that magazine showed!" Jen exclaimed as she walked inside.

From quilted to frock coats, pretty much any kind of coat you could ask for was here. "I know right? Paris really is the fashion capital of the world!" Tom exclaimed in agreement, hurrying over to the fur coat section.

Jen followed him, adoring the fur coats as soon as she saw them. She grabbed a white fur lined coat and slipped it on, with Tom doing a few small claps as she did so. "That is like so your color!" Tom stated, with Jen then putting on a white sun hat to match it.

"The bright white is just perfect for Paris, it makes me look so much purer right?" Jen asked, turning around so Tom could see how the coat looked from behind.

Tom looked over it, then held up two thumbs up. "Totally. Definitely good to wear cool colors over warm ones in a setting like this too. I think I'll go with a bright purple!" Tom explained, then grabbed a purple pea coat, a pink necklace, and a purple fedora.

Tom put them all on, amazing Jen when she saw the outfit. "Yup, it's so classy! Definitely one for the blog if we get out of here!" Jen complimented his outfit. The two proceeded to continue and shop after that, going over other outfits.

-Interview: Fashion Bloggers-

Tom and Jen were in the outfits that they had picked out first, both of them now wearing sunglasses as well. "Such a good idea to take advantage of that head start we had. That was two hours of pure bliss and making us look AMAZING!" Tom exclaimed, holding up several bags of clothes as well.

Jen nodded in agreement, raising her sunglasses. "And even if we go out here, we went out in style! In Paris! Don so wishes he could get to us, but we're too pretty for that!" Jen added, making herself and Tom laugh.

-End Interview-

"This just in, flight number two has landed!" Don narrated as the second plane still covered in sad face stickers landed on the runway. Just like with the first flight, right after the plane landed, the teams onboard rushed out.

"As the teams from flight number two make their way to the Eiffel Tower, the teams from flight number one strain to finish the first challenge!" Don narrated as posers like Josee and Brody were getting slightly tired from staying still for so long.

Kitty finished her drawing first, then handed her sketchpad to the local artist. Emma peered over at it, seeing a grumpy drawing of herself with horns, fangs, and a rain cloud over her head. "I know I said exaggerations, but you don't have to insult me." Emma chastised Kitty.

"Oh I think they're very fitting right now!" Kitty replied with a smirk, before receiving her tip after getting the approval of the artist.

Carrie finished her drawing right after that, showing a dramatically more buff version of Devin winking, with his shirt off as well. The artist gave a thumbs up, making Carrie let out a huge sigh of relief. "Phew! I went overboard on that one, good thing it paid off!" Carrie said as she received her travel tip.

"Well you did get an A in art last semester, knew I could count on you homie! What does the tip say?" Devin asked, walking up to Carrie's side to read the tip.

Carrie looked over the tip, showing it to Devin as well. "Go down down down, to find the cheese so round, where your next tip is found. Are we supposed to go downtown a find a restaurant maybe?" Carrie read off the tip, then took a guess.

Ellody got her tip after Carrie got hers, reading it silently before walking past the Best Friends with Mary. "There is an open manhole right there, with several rope fence posts around it. It means down literally." Ellody explained to Carrie as she and Mary then hurried to the sewer.

Now below the surface, a flashlight turned on to show Don standing underground surrounded by skulls. "Welcome to the catacombs, where ancient Parisians buried victims of the plague. Teams must use their noses to navigate this maze of tunnels and find the correct exit and their next travel tip hidden amongst these wheels of Roquefort cheese." Don now stood outside an exit of the maze, next to several wheels of cheese.

Back at the Eiffel Tower now, the teams from the second flight were now arriving in taxis while the other teams still there were hurrying to finish their drawings. "How's it coming along babe?" Ryan asked Stephanie, still flexing his pecs.

"Just fine! I don't need any help, just keep flexing your beautiful body!" Stephanie replied, although she still sounded worried.

Jacques finished his drawing of Josee as a graceful angel and showed it to the artist, who right away gave him the thumbs up and handed over the tip. "The other teams went into the sewer, go go!" Josee shouted at Jacques as soon as he got the tip, and the two left immediately.

Lorenzo saw the Ice Dancers leave and just stopped drawing. "That's good enough!" Lorenzo proudly stated and then handed over his drawing to the artist.

Chet looked at the drawing, which was just his head made to look like a garbage bag with flies circling around it. "A crappy drawing for a crappy guy. what can I say?" Lorenzo remarked, to which Chet punched him in the face.

The artist flinched as he did this, but still handed the tip over. "You can say thanks when I take us to the end of the maze! Last one there's a dead man!" Chet declared and then ran to the manhole.

"We're both dead men if we're the last there you idiot!" Lorenzo yelled after his stepbrother as he too ran to the manhole.

-Interview: Stepbrothers-

Lorenzo and Chet were glaring at each other furiously, both having their arms crossed as well. "You let like four other teams finish before us, if we die, then it's all your fault!" Chet stated, angry with Lorenzo.

"Pff, like you would draw any faster! My dad is watching, and he's gonna be soooo mad at your mom when he sees that you got us both killed!" Lorenzo retorted, making Chet tackle him to the floor.

-End Interview-

The teams from flight two had now gotten their sketchpads and were starting to draw, except for the Adversity Twins. Mickey was struggling to muster up the will to grab one of the pencils, making Jay facepalm. "Come on Mickey, it's just one of it and two of us!" Jay tried to encourage Mickey.

Mickey quivered, but he slowly reached forward and eventually grabbed the pencil. "I'm okay? I'm okay!" Mickey exclaimed in surprise as he was able to hold the pencil.

Mickey then grabbed one of the sketchpads, but yelped in pain as soon as he did so. "Gah! Papercut!" Mickey cried out.

-Interview: Adversity Twins-

Mickey was rubbing his thumb that had been cut, while Jay just looked at his brother solemnly. "About the pencil, it was a Tuesday morning, and Mickey's pencil case broke. It spilled pencils all over the stairs, and Mickey tripped on one, making him fall down the stairs, getting stabbed by them the whole way down. He's been afraid of them ever since." Jay explained, with Mickey shaking just hearing the story.

-End Interview-

Soon after the second flight teams began to have their partners pose and draw, MacArthur finished her drawing and showed it to the artist. Sanders was an overly aggressive cop aiming a gun in the picture, which the artist gave them their tip for. "False interpretation, but that's good enough for us." Sanders conceded as she grabbed the tip.

Right after them though, Leonard handed his sketchpad to the artist. "Didn't you just get here?" Noah pointed out, looking over at the LARPers in shock.

Leonard nodded his head, showing them the drawing for a moment. In it, Tammy was a voluptuous warrior swinging around a war hammer with lightning in the background. "That we did! I draw reference images for my campaigns, so a mere caricature is no challenge for a wizard like myself!" Leonard answered, while Tammy got the tip from the artist.

The LARPers quick arrival and departure was seen by Stephanie, who grew even more stressed. She stopped drawing and handed her sketchpad to the artist, who looked over it skeptically. "You spent that long on that?" Ryan asked Stephanie as he looked at the drawing.

The drawing was pretty crude, just depicting Ryan shirtless with oddly shaped pecs. "I'm a doer not a drawer okay!" Stephanie replied anxiously, then sighed with relief as she got her tip.

Taylor rolled her eyes at Stephanie's behavior, then began to draw her mom. "Can you believe her, yelling like that? So tacky, my gosh." Taylor complained as she drew.

"Oh I can believe it, it's good to have manners you know." Kelly told her daughter, posing with one hand on her head and the other on her hip.

"OMG MOM! Don't make it about yourself! I know you need manners, but could you like, shut up about it?" Taylor demanded, pointing her pencil at Kelly.

Kelly raised an eyebrow, shaking her head. "Sweetie no, I wasn't talking about myself there. I was talking about your manners. We're on TV, you can't be acting disrespectful like this! These could be the last moments anyone ever sees of us!" Kelly scolded Taylor.

"Excuse me? My manners? Don't even try to tell me how to act! Just shut up and let me draw you!" Taylor yelled at Kelly, then took a different direction with her drawing.

-Interview: Kelly-

Kelly was still posing for Taylor, although the camera was just on her. "Am I worried Taylor's attitude will make us lose? Of course not, my Taylor has won so many gold medals, she'll be fine here. She wins every art show she enters, so she has this challenge at least."

-End Interview-

In the catacombs, the Best Friends were walking together, with Carrie being incredibly unnerved by all the skulls around. "Hey homie, eyes on me okay? We can't focus on the skulls, or else we fall behind." Devin told Carrie, pointing at himself.

"Yeah, I'll keep my eyes on you..." Carrie trailed off as she focused on Devin, indeed calming down as she kept her eyes on his face.

The Sisters were faring much better mentally, with Emma hurrying Kitty through the maze. "Look for any sign of natural light, that can easily be a way out." Emma urged Kitty as they fast-walked.

"Can't we just relax while we walk? We're wayyyyy ahead of the other teams." Kitty pointed out, confused by how stressed Emma was.

"And I want it to stay that way! Okay!? So just keep your head in the game!" Emma replied fiercely, not stopping at all.

"We shoulda brought a stress ball or something..." Kitty mumbled to herself as she followed Emma.

As the Daters and LARPers climbed down into the catacombs, Stephanie right away began to panic. "How are we supposed to race through a maze? It's all random!" Stephanie complained, kicking one of the skulls.

"Hey hey, take it easy, if we run fast, we cover more ground, and we'll be more likely to find a way out than the other teams." Ryan assured her, then began to run down one tunnel to try it out.

Stephanie followed him as soon as he said that, just hoping that he was right. "This labyrinth reminds me of the ones our party would journey through, only there's no random encounters." Tammy said to Leonard as they walked forward.

"Which means that if we just follow the border, we find another way out then, because an exit wouldn't be in the middle! Huzzah, good observation Tammy!" Leonard explained, and the two headed right to go along the perimeter of the maze instead of continuing forward.

-Interview: LARPers-

Leonard had his hands behind his back, while Tammy had her arms crossed proudly. "Our knowledge of dungeons is expansive to the depths of other worlds! These challenges are but trivial for our party!" Leonard stated proudly, having a confident smile on his face.

"Can you imagine if we got eliminated first? We'd miss out on all the easy challenges for us!" Tammy remarked, which made both her and Leonard chuckle.

The Fashion Bloggers now arrived at the Eiffel Tower finally, with Jen shocked to see the flight two teams here. Both of them were wearing the outfits they had first picked out. "I thought we had enough time to shop, what are they doing here?" Jen asked Tom.

"I guess we got a little caught up in trying on clothes? Whatevs, we'll be fine. I'm totes a good sketcher." Tom assured Jen as he grabbed one of the sketchpads and a pencil.

That assurance was downplayed though as the Surfer Dudes, Goths, and Vegans all got their tips from the local artist. "That's just three teams, we'll be fine!" Tom again assured Jen, who grew more nervous as she posed for Tom in a similar manner to Kelly.

In the catacombs, the Ice Dancers were jogging through the tunnels with their arms out in a performative manner, smiling at the camera as they did so. The Police Cadets caught up to them as they did this though, weirding them out. "Do you guys do that all the time? What's wrong with you?" MacArthur asked bluntly.

"Nothing, we just like to give the audience a show, compared to some of the more weak willed teams." Josee replied smugly.

"I CAN'T FIND A WAY OUT! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" Stephanie cried out, which could be heard from an entirely different tunnel than the Ice Dancers and Cadets.

"You idiot! We already went this way! My mom is gonna be so mad at you for getting us killed!" Chet yelled at Lorenzo, which was followed up by the sounds of punching.

Sanders looked around awkwardly as she heard the sounds, before looking at the Ice Dancers again. "You might have a point there." Sanders replied, which just made Josee keep her smug look.

Back up on the surface, Don was now standing at the Eiffel Tower where the rest of the remaining teams were still drawing. "While the catacombs extend a warm welcome to some of the teams, others are still drawing the first challenge to a conclusion! Heh, drawing, see what I did there?" Don narrated as the teams were all shown drawing.

Noah showed the artist his drawing of Owen eating the Eiffel Tower, which got a good laugh out of both of them before the artist handed Noah the tip. "What's so funny? Can I see the drawing?" Owen asked, a bit confused.

"No time, let's go!" Noah replied, grabbing Owen's hand and pulling him away, although mostly to stop Owen from actually seeing the drawing.

Rock showed his drawing of Spud as David Bowie to the artist, which he quickly got a tip for, prompting Rock and Spud to celebrate with air guitar before taking their tip and running off.

Junior showed the artist a drawing of Dwayne lecturing him, with his head cartoonishly opening in half to talk. He got his tip for this, making the family pair high five before leaving. "Good job sport, I'm pretty good at mazes too, solve 'em in the paper all the time!" Dwayne told Junior confidently before they climbed down into the catacombs.

-Interview: Father and Son-

Dwayne had one hand on Junior's shoulder, with his other hand pointed at himself. "Guess you could say I'm a bit of a navigator! I solve mazes in the newspapers, find my way through the office building, it's a pretty big place, you'd be impressed, and I'm always the driver on family road trips!" Dwayne praised himself, making Junior roll his eyes.

"Riiiight, on every road trip that you use the GPS for. And you check the maze answer in the back of the newspaper." Junior corrected Dwayne.

Dwayne chuckled, then raised a finger. "Well I still navigate the old office!" Dwayne defended himself.

"Uh huh." Junior wasn't impressed.

In the catacombs, the Surfer Dudes were seemingly making good progress, although that was put to a stop when they came across the end of a tunnel blocked off entirely by skulls. "Aww dude, that's like the third dead end we've hit!" Brody complained, groaning and turning around.

As they turned around though, both of them let out a shriek as they saw the Goths standing there. "Oh. It's a dead end." Crimson told Ennui as she saw the walled off tunnel exit.

"Guess we have to go another way." Ennui replied just as emotionlessly, then turned around and walked with her.

Geoff and Brody exchanged a glance, before just jogging past the Goths. "You dudes really spooked us, although it is kinda spooky down here now that I think about it." Geoff told them, then looked at all the skulls around them.

"Really? It's a nice place down here." Ennui disagreed, enjoying all the skulls around.

"This could be a cafe. Or a park for kids." Crimson agreed with Ennui, just further unnerving the Surfer Dudes and making them leave.

The Vegans were briskly walking through the tunnels, sniffing the air as they did so. "You smell the cheese too right?" Laurie asked Miles.

Miles nodded her head. "Mhmm, it's coming from this way I think." Miles guessed, pointing to the left tunnel in a fork in the road.

The Rockers ran up to the same fork as them, catching up since the Vegans were just walking. "Yo dudes! You guys know the way out of here?" Rock asked them while Spud caught up.

"We smelled the cheese coming from this tunnel, so this might be the way out. We can lead you to the exit if you'd like." Miles offered, pointing to the left tunnel.

Rock was surprised, but nodded his head right away. "For real? Right on! You lead the way, we'll be right behind you!" Rock accepted the offer, then followed the Vegans into the tunnel with Spud.

-Interview: Vegans-

Laurie and Miles looked pleased with themselves, with Laurie rubbing one arm. "I feel terrible about what happened to the Tennis Rivals, we didn't do enough to save them, but this might just make up for it." Laurie tried to stay optimistic.

Miles nodding her head, patting her partner on the shoulder. "Of course. As long as we do the right thing, we'll have nothing to feel regretful over. We weren't able to save them, but at least they are out of this horrible game now." Miles also stayed optimistic.

-End Interview-

The Police Cadets had separated themselves from the Ice Dancers and were running on their own through the catacombs, with MacArthur leading the way. "Are you sure you know the cheese is this way?" Sanders asked her partner a bit worriedly.

MacArthur nodded, then sniffed the air again. "Yup, been training myself for border patrol! Hmm... Roquefort, aged about... three years! This way!" MacArthur replied, pointing to a tunnel angled upward.

Sanders followed her in, getting a relieved smile as they went up. "I hear running water too, this must be the way!" Sanders added as they now ran up a flight of stairs that led up and out of the tunnel.

The Cadets exited the tunnel and in front of them were stacks and stacks of large cheese wheels, with a bunch of oars leaning against the stone wall next to them. "Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about! First ones here!" MacArthur celebrated as she hugged one of the cheese wheels.

Right after they arrived though, the LARPers exited the tunnel, much to their surprise. "How did you catch up so fast? Weren't you on the second flight?" Sanders asked them while MacArthur grabbed one of the wheels of cheese.

"These trials are no match for seasoned questers like us! Plus Tammy has a high intuition stat." Leonard answered, with Tammy nodding proudly.

Tammy walked over to where MacArthur was and saw a placard behind the wheel of cheese that she grabbed. "Take your cheese and sail away to where Mona Lisa's on display, that doesn't sound so bad." Tammy read off the placard.

"That's the Louvre!" Sanders right away stated, grabbing a pair of oars for her and MacArthur.

"The Louvre, home to many paintings I was asked to stop touching." Don now narrated as they shot switched to one of the inside of the Louvre, then outside where Don stood in front of the pyramid gallery next to the Chill Zone. "It's also the Chill Zone for this part of the race, last team to reach the Carpet of Completion may be out of the running!" Don added, making a slicing motion to his neck, with Dimitri standing right behind him.

"But the race for first place is kicking into high gear!" Don narrated as MacArthur tossed her cheese wheel into the river below, while the LARPers worked together to toss their wheel down.

Both teams had their oars and now jumped down, glancing at each other before they began to hustle. "Double time it, we aren't taking any less than first!" MacArthur told Sanders, rowing feverishly already.

"I don't think that's necessary." Sanders told her partner, seeing that MacArthur alone was paddling faster than the LARPers paddling together.

"I SAID DOUBLE TIME IT!" MacArthur shouted, prompting Sanders to roll her eyes and just paddle normally.

The Best Friends were still down in the catacombs, with Carrie holding Devin's hand with both of hers, looking around worriedly. "Oh... I hope we aren't going the complete wrong way, we've already gone so far." Carrie said, fearful of the idea.

Devin patted her back, giving her a comforting smile. "It's okay homie, we'll be just fine. I think I smell the cheese up there!" Devin assured her, pointing ahead.

The two jogged further in their tunnel, with both of them pinching their noses as they approached a wooden door. "The cheese smells really bad apparently. But at least we made it!" Devin commented, getting a small smile out of Carrie.

As soon as Carrie opened the door though, she screamed and ran off when she was greeted by Owen using the bathroom inside an underground outhouse. "Why are there bathrooms down here!?" Devin let out as they ran from the awful smell Owen was making.

"Man, that Moroccan stew can really rip through a guy!" Owen remarked, a bit embarrassed that they walked in on him.

Noah walked over to the outhouse, pinching his nose as he closed the door. "Yeah, can you make it rip faster already? We've got this little thing called the looming threat of death over our heads right now." Noah requested sarcastically, then walked away again.

-Interview: Noah-

Noah stood outside of the outhouse, still waiting for Owen to come out. "We knew this was an inevitability in this kind of scenario. Owen uses the restroom, we fall behind. How long we'll be able to keep this up? Who knows. As long as we don't get too many eating challenges, we should be fine. But since I just admitted that, I'm already expecting a whole lot more."

-End Interview-

Back up on the Eiffel Tower, it was just the Fashion Bloggers and Mom and Daughter still finishing their drawing. Or rather, just the Fashion Bloggers as Taylor handed over her drawing to the local artist. He gave her a thumbs up, and the two ran for the manhole. "Next time we do something like that, can you please do it a bit faster?" Kelly requested worriedly.

Taylor groaned, then gave a wave of dismissal. "Pff, I know what I'm doing. I'm an artist, and art takes time. Besides, I know the fastest way through mazes." Taylor stated confidently.

"Taylor sweetie, that won't work here, these are catacombs, not hedge mazes that you can just jump and see the way to the end." Kelly reminded Taylor as they climbed down into the catacombs.

"Don't ever tell me what I can and can't do! Just follow me and we'll be fine!" Taylor snapped at Kelly, then ran ahead once they were down in the tunnels.

Once they were gone, Jen nervously looked at Tom, still holding her pose. "Tom, I don't want to freak you out, but we're literally in last place. Can you like speed this up?" Jen urged Tom.

Tom continued to sketch Jen, going as fast as he could. "I'm trying, but I can't mess this up!" Tom told her, still focusing on the quality.

"Maybe you'd have time to try if you didn't make us go shopping!" Jen chastised Tom, pointing at all the bags at his feet.

"Well excuse me for trying to look my best! We had an hour and a half, we got wrapped up in it, and you agreed to it!" Tom argued, wagging a finger at her.

"And I'm not the one who suggested it! You know how we feel about clothing! You put our hobby before our own lives!" Jen argued back, marching up to Tom.

Tom gasped at this, dropping the sketchpad. "It is not just a hobby! It is a lifestyle!" Tom reminded her matter-of-factly.

"Well we won't have a life soon thanks to you! It's all your fault Tom, it always is! You're the reason we're in this race!" Jen reminded him back, pointing a finger at him accusingly.

"Excuse me, you signed the contract too, we both got duped! Now pose so we can finish this!" Tom told her, picking his sketchpad back up.

Jen swiped the drawing from him though, then handed it to the artist. He gave them a thumbs up, making Jen glare at Tom as she showed him his drawing. Jen was posed stylistically on it, wearing the outfit they had picked out, with all kinds of dramatic lighting and sparkle effects drawn on. "We could have been done forever ago, this was fine!" Jen stated, throwing the drawing to the ground.

"I didn't want to mess it up okay? Jeez, you're acting way worse than earlier!" Tom called her out, not as stressed out as Jen.

"Because. I. Don't. Want. To. DIE! Now let's go!" Jen yelled at him, then pulled him by the arm toward the catacombs.

At the exit of the maze, the Stepbrothers had now made it out, with Lorenzo running to the wheels of cheese while Chet followed. "Ha! Told you this was the right way! And you were going to get us killed!" Lorenzo bragged, pointing at himself.

"You just guessed, that doesn't count!" Chet argued, grabbing one of the cheese wheels and tossing it into the river.

Lorenzo grabbed one of the oars and smacked Chet though, knocking his stepbrother onto the cheese wheel below. "Well make your arms count and paddle you jerk!" Lorenzo ordered, grabbing another paddle and handing it to him after jumping onto the cheese wheel.

"Most of the teams are now reaching the water." Don narrated as the Vegans, Rockers, Ice Dancers, Sisters, and Geniuses all made it to the exit one after another. "But for those still in the catacombs, the big challenge is to not come in last."

In the catacombs, Stephanie was freaking out now as she and Ryan sprinted through the tunnels. "We've checked everywhere! How have we still not found the exit!?" Stephanie yelled as she ran.

"Babe, we have to be getting close if we've been searching for this long!" Ryan tried to comfort her, but it wasn't helping.

"You've been saying we'll find it this whole time, but I'm not seeing an exit!" Stephanie deflated his comforting, breathing heavily in fear.

Dwayne and Junior were jogging through the tunnels when the two heard Stephanie yelling, making Dwayne look behind him and see Stephanie sprinting right their way. "Watch out!" Dwayne told Junior as he pointed back and stepped aside.

Stephanie shoved Junior aside though as she ran past him, knocking him to the ground. "Hey! Get back here! No one hits my son like- GAH!" Dwayne yelped as Stephanie just slapped him across the face and also knocked him to the ground.

"Steph wait up!" Ryan called out to Stephanie as he tried to keep up with her.

"Okay, maybe confronting crazy people isn't the best idea..." Dwayne muttered as he sat up and rubbed his cheek, then helped Junior to his feet.

-Interview: Father and Son-

Dwayne had a red mark on his cheek, while Junior had a little scratch on his forehead. "Some people are really losing it already. I mean, I'd be losing it too if I didn't have a family member along for the ride." Dwayne commented, chuckling afterward.

Junior frowned though, raising an eyebrow. "So you'd rather have me here than at home?" Junior asked him.

Dwayne shook his head, realizing how bad that sounded. "Well, no, that's not what I meant. Just having you here is nice because-"

"I'd stop before you say something that'll make Mom worry even more." Junior warned him.

"Good call." Dwayne took the advice.

-End Interview-

Over at the end of the river, the Police Cadets were the first to arrive, with no competition in sight. "No one else is here, let's just get that cheese wheel to the chill zone!" Sanders told MacArthur as they hopped off.

"Just like last time, double time it!" MacArthur ordered as they tossed their oars aside and tilted the wheel upright, then began to roll it up the stairs to the plaza the Louvre was in.

It wasn't tense at all, but Sanders kept looking back to see if anyone else was coming as they rolled the cheese wheel to the chill zone. "Police Cadets, you're in first place!" Don congratulated them as they arrived, making the two high-five after stepping onto the carpet.

Not long after them, Leonard and Tammy rolled their wheel onto the Carpet of Completion, much to Don's surprise. "LARPers? Didn't think I'd be saying this, but... second place!" Don told them, making the two share a proud look.

"All in a night's work for legendary adventurers!" Leonard stated as he and Tammy walked past Don.

More of the teams reached the river now, with the Best Friends, Adversity Twins, and Reality TV Pros all rowing their cheese wheels down the river now. Owen reached to grab a piece of the cheese wheel off and eat it, but Noah stopped rowing and slapped his hand. "No! You can't eat the raft!" Noah scolded him.

"But cheese is good for you!" Owen tried to change his mind, his tummy rumbling afterward.

"You can eat it after Don tells us we aren't dying. I'm not losing this because you needed a snack." Noah told him, then went back to rowing.

The Surfers and the Goths finally made it out the maze a bit later, with Brody and Geoff sharing a fist bump in brief celebration. "Hard part's out of the way, now we just gotta row the cheese to the finish!" Geoff told Brody as he grabbed the oars while Brody pushed the wheel into the water.

"Yeah dude, piece of cake! Or like, piece of cheese! Yeah!" Brody added, then the two dove onto the cheese wheel together.

While the Goths got their wheel and oars, Stephanie's screams were soon heard and became louder and louder for them until she came running out the exit with Ryan not far behind her. "Freedom! Yes! We are still in this babe!" Stephanie cried out in relief.

"Yeah, still in this..." Ryan agreed awkwardly.

Father and Son weren't too far behind them, since they had just followed the Daters to the exit. "Other teams are still at this part, I think we'll be fine Dad." Junior pointed out as he grabbed their pair of oars.

"Sure looks like it sport, but make sure to paddle as fast as you can okay?" Dwayne told Junior as he grabbed the wheel of cheese.

The wheel slipped out of his hands though and rolled onto him, making them both fall into the water. "I'm okay!" Dwayne called out to Junior as he surfaced, then climbed onto the wheel.

Junior jumped down, handing an oar to his father. "You scare me sometimes with your clumsiness..." Junior mumbled as he began to paddle.

"Third place!" Don told the next team, being the Stepbrothers as they arrived at the carpet.

"My guess got us third place, how do you like that!?" Lorenzo rubbed in his navigation in Chet's face, who just groaned and stormed off.

A compilation of the teams arriving now played as more of them reached the Chill Zone, each of the teams wheeling their cheese onto the carpet and rolling it off to set it aside afterward.

"4th!" The Rockers played air guitar in celebration, then high fived.

"5th!" The Ice Dancers weren't too happy with this placement, although Josee contained herself while Jacques sighed with relief.

"6th!" The Vegans waved to the Rockers as they arrived, now much happier than they were upon arriving at the last Chill Zone.

"7th!" Kitty was delighted to place decently again, although Emma had a bitter frown. "Could have been better." she commented.

"8th!" The Geniuses saw the other teams that had already arrived, with Ellody doing a quick scan. "Hmm, I think we know who our competition is." Ellody said to Mary, gesturing to some of the stronger teams.

Mom and Daughter finally reached the exit of the catacombs, with Taylor having a proud smile on her face. "See mom? I got us through there just fine." Taylor told Kelly as they stepped out.

"Taylor we just followed the footprints of another team, that wasn't really you sweetie." Kelly pointed out.

Taylor groaned, crossing her arms. "Do you wanna whine about what I did or didn't do, or do you wanna help us win? Now get the cheese wheel and row K'? I did the first two parts, now it's your turn!" Taylor demanded, pointing at the wheels of cheese.

Kelly sighed and grabbed one of the wheels, then grabbed their pair of oars. "We're supposed to work together, as a team!" Kelly reminded Taylor, then jumped down.

Taylor jumped right after Kelly, but landed in the water. Kelly was quick to help her onto the cheese wheel, but Taylor wasn't happy. "Where was the teamwork there!? Now my clothes are wet!" Taylor complained.

"Sweetie that was-"

"No more excuses! Just paddle!" Taylor ordered, prompting Kelly to begin paddling.

More teams began to arrive at the Chill Zone, all around the same time as well. "And here come some more teams!" Don announced as they arrived.

"9th!" Carrie hugged Devin once they were safe, while the latter patted her on the back.

"10th!" As soon as the Reality TV Pros were declared safe, Owen began to munch on their cheese wheel while Noah just facepalmed.

"11th!" Geoff and Brody jumped up and bumped each other's chests, letting out victorious woops as well.

"12th!" After the Adversity Twins were safe, Mickey ran off and vomited, while Jay let out a sneeze. "We have lactose intolerance, only a bit more violent..." Jay told the camera, letting out another violent sneeze afterward.

"13th!" Stephanie let out a joyous squeal and hugged Ryan once they were safe, who awkwardly hugged her back.

"14th!" Dwayne and Junior sighed with relief, although Junior looked unsure of if this really meant anything.

"15th!" The Goths just moseyed onto the carpet with their cheese wheel, letting it fall over lazily once they were safe.

The Fashion Bloggers now made it out of the catacombs, with Jen looking around worriedly. "Tom, I don't see any other teams, I think they all made it out already!" Jen cried out, seeing that there was only one cheese wheel and a pair of oars left.

"Then we gotta go like really fast then! Help me get all these bags onto the cheese wheel and we can go!" Tom replied, setting down the bags of clothes and pulling the cheese wheel over to push it into the river.

Jen clenched her fists, then kicked the bags of clothes into the river. "Forget the clothes, we don't have time for that! If we don't start paddling right now, we are going to die!" Jen stated firmly, kicking the wheel into the river and jumping down onto it.

Tom let out a shriek as she did this, but still hopped down onto the cheese wheel with her. "We better not have a bunch of extra time left, or I will never forgive you for wasting all those fabulous clothes!" Tom threatened Jen as they both began to paddle with all their effort.

"Now only two teams remain, paddling their way to the Chill Zone, will it be close?" Don narrated as Kelly was paddling as fast as she could down the river while Tom and Jen did their best to catch up.

Kelly looked back and saw the bloggers, then looked to Taylor who wasn't even paddling. "Taylor, can you please paddle, the other team is catching up!" Kelly begged, sounding more desperate now.

"Ugh, fine. Don't make such a big deal. You're the one with a personal trainer, you should be nailing this." Taylor reluctantly agreed and began to paddle, but didn't put much effort in.

-Interview: Mom and Daughter-

"My mom works out with her personal trainer, so she should be like, doing all the physical work." Taylor stated, filing her nails at the moment.

Kelly looked nervous though, shaking her head disapprovingly. "While I do train, it's important that you do your share of work too. It's a team after all, and if we're going to get out of this, you need to learn to put in some work." Kelly reasoned, pointing at Taylor.

-End Interview-

Mom and Daughter soon reached the end of the river, with Taylor stepping off while Kelly stood the wheel of cheese up and began to roll it towards the stairs. The Fashion Bloggers arrived just a bit after that, pushing up their cheese wheel together and rolling it up the stairs side by side. "Come on Tom, we can make it!" Jen tried to encourage Tom as the two of them pushed their wheel.

Taylor and Kelly now ran through the plaza in front of the Louvre toward the Chill Zone, with Taylor looking back and getting nervous as she saw the Fashion Bloggers catching up. "Push faster Mom! They're right behind us!" Taylor demanded, running next to Kelly as she pushed the wheel by herself.

"Almost there! Just a bit further!" Kelly exclaimed, seeing the Carpet of Completion less than a hundred feet away.

Don was standing next to the carpet, watching as the two teams ran towards him. "It's gonna be a close one! In 16th place is..." Don narrated as they were about to step onto the carpet.

Kelly was putting in all the effort she could as she pushed the cheese wheel, Taylor was looking forward at the carpet and back at the Fashion Bloggers repeatedly in fear. Jen looked frightened out of her mind, and Tom was sweating nervously as the two pushed their wheel as fast as they could.

They passed in front of the Louvre, now 50 feet away from the carpet.

"The Fashion Bloggers! You are second last and still in the race!" Don announced as the two rolled their cheese onto the carpet just before Mom and Daughter.

They pushed over their wheel and let out huge sighs of relief, before Tom looked over at Jen. "Jen, I am soooo sorry, I almost got us killed because I wanted to look pretty. That's the last time I ever put our looks before the game!" Tom vowed, getting a smile from Jen.

"I'm sorry I blamed the whole thing on you. I mean like, it was kinda your fault, but I should have said something sooner. We've got our head in the game now, and that's what matters!" Jen accepted the vow, then gave Tom a quick hug before the two left the Carpet of Completion.

Kelly rolled the wheel of cheese onto the carpet, with Taylor walking right next to her. "Kelly, Taylor, you are the last team to arrive. It's over for you." Don told them, now sounding much more grim.

Taylor's pupils shrunk as fear filled her, giggling nervously as she tried not to accept what just happened. "Over for us? Um, Mom, you can pay to bail us out of this right? Right!?" Taylor asked Kelly desperately.

Kelly was fuming, but clenching her fist as she heard this. She took a deep breath, and shook her head solemnly. "No Taylor. Daddy's money can't save us. You could have saved us if you put a single bit of effort into this, but you didn't. You never listen to me. So here are the consequences of your actions." Kelly explained to Taylor just as grim as Don.

"W-Why are you so calm? We're about to die! And you don't care at all do you!?" Taylor yelled, not understanding at all what was going on anymore.

"Oh you want me to yell at you? So you can ignore my words again? Bold of you to say I don't care when you didn't care about the game this whole time. Don, do your worst." Kelly now turned to Don, accepting her fate.

"I might've taken a bribe, but Dimitri here wouldn't allow that. Thank you for your cooperation." Don thanked Kelly, while Taylor now ran off for her own life.

Taylor couldn't outrun a trained assassin though, so the burly man easily caught up to her and grabbed her by the arm, then dragged a screaming Taylor and a contempt Kelly over to a guillotine just past the Chill Zone.

Taylor kicked, scratched, and punched at Dimitri, but his grip on her was inescapable. Kelly just walked up to the guillotine without a second thought and stuck her head in. "I did what I could, now I-" Kelly didn't get to finish her last words as Don pulled the handle and dropped the blade on her, sending her head tumbling into a basket.

Taylor screamed as she watched her mother get decapitated in front of her, while Dimitri now dragged Kelly's body away from it so he could put Taylor in. "This is the guillotine! Traditional execution device used throughout Western Europe, but infamous for it's use during the French Revolution." Don now introduced the device while a screaming Taylor was put into the device in the background.

"With the angled blade dropped onto the condemned, it provided a more painless death that better fit the Enlightenment ideals that were becoming popular during the time it was introduced." Don explained the history of the device as Dimitri raised the blade back up.

Taylor's head was stuck through the whole, still screaming as she looked down at Kelly's lifeless head sitting in the basket. "While revolutionaries viewed the device as the people's avenger, most viewed it as a sign of imminent death. The last legal beheading with the device took place in 1977, although that has been updated to..."

Tssik!

"Today."

Author's Note:

Yeah, a whole year between this and the last one, I know, it's been a suuuper long time. But I just didn't feel this fic for the longest time. When you have an ongoing TD universe of your own, it's hard to find time to work on side projects. I know a lot of people wanted this fic to continue, so I finally got to it. So sorry about the wait, hope this at least was enjoyable! My writing has improved a lot over the past year, so that probably helps the fic. As for the death, yeah... Mom and Daughter weren't going to really get a whole lot done, and their storyline doesn't really work in a death setting like this, especially the self sabotage part. Taylor still learned her lesson, albeit way too late. I hope you all enjoyed this despite the wait! Be sure to leave a review to let me know what you thought, join our discord to get in on discussion + more (join code on profile), and I'll see you all next time!
