Hey there!
Here's yet another fic for my absolute favorite Anime.
I really hope you guys enjoy reading :-)
################################################################################
For a being as powerful as himself, being trapped inside a child's body was more then a little bit insulting. Especially since said child seemed to have no problem keeping him locked up while simultaneously working with some of the people, he despised the most.
And speaking of the brat who's body he was inhabiting, he was just so annoying. All those naive and emotional thought flooding into his head via his host were causing the curse a massive headache at the best of days. Other times, like right now, Sukuna really wished he could simply take that puny little neck and twist it until not a single sound could come out of it ever again. The simple thought of that made him smile in delight.
Although, as annoying as his vessel's childish behavior was, seeing the kid suffer and despair at his hands was one of the few true joys left in his current existence.
But only as long as he was the cause for his little human's suffering.
After all, Yuuji Itadori was his and his alone to break and do with as he pleased. No matter if it were sorcerers, other curses or normal humans. No one was allowed to lay a hand on his possessions. After all, what kind of king would he be if he allowed others to do as they pleased with what was his, right?
Normal people may call this behavior possessiveness or even jealousy, but to him, it was simply one of the laws of nature. No one was to touch what was his. He was an all powerful being and was free to do as he pleased for all eternity. He just needed to make everyone understand this, especially those damn sorcerers.
No matter if it was that noisy girl who had a tendency for violence or that white haired teacher who seemed to use every opportunity he got to throw his arms around his host and act as if it was his given right to do so.
The only one out of his little human's friends who seemed to get the concept of personal space was the black haired one. That one didn't seem too fond of any kind of physical contact.
However, the biggest problem was Yuuji himself. That damn kid seemed to enjoy being fond over way to much by other humans, always working hard in order to please them and being ridiculously happy every time he succeeded.
It was simply disgusting. No host of his was allowed to act like that!
Seriously, was the kid stupid or something? Those people were planning to kill them after all!
But who was he trying to fool? Of course he'd noticed very early on that his human pet was more then just a little dumb when it came to certain things.
That kid really needed to learn who he belonged to now. How dare that brat have more admiration for the jujutsu sorcerers then he could even think of having for his master?
Of course, he'd used the freedom he had inside his domain to punish the kid, but no matter how angry he got or how many bones he broke, his vessel seemed absolutely uninterested in showing him the proper respect.
As soon as he'd made this body his own, he would make damn sure to mutilate and carefully pick apart every single one of that brat's little friends, even if only to see Yuuji despair over it, unable to stop it and unable to die himself until Sukuna allowed him to do so.
Even after the kid's body would be his, he would keep that little human's soul around for a bit longer, just for the fun of it. To see him struggle and cry, beg for his friends to be spared as he used their hands to rip them into tiny pieces.
Still though, as much as he enjoyed thoughts like this while watching the kid go about his daily life, that still didn't mean that this was all he would do about the problem at hand. Fantasizing about killing people was a good start of course, but he still needed to teach them a thing or two about leaving alone what didn't belong to them.

After having completed a fairly simple mission, The first year students of Jujutsu tech and their teacher had decided, since it was still early, to spend the rest of their afternoon just relaxing and having a good time while walking through the far expanses of Tokyo's streets.
Of course, Nobara had insisted they all go shopping. The three men had agreed, simply because none of them felt like arguing with her.
Right now, they were sitting outside yet another clothing store, each of them carrying multiple bags that certainly didn't belong to them, all sporting labels of one or another fashion brand exclusively producing clothing for women, perfumes or kinds of make up and jewelry.
At this point, they all had their own theories as to how the girl payed for all of this. Except for a small allowance that was barely enough to cover the basics, the students didn't get any money for their work after all, instead being provided with food and lodging as payment for the duration of their studies.
The most popular assumptions so far were that she had found some poor guy and simply bullied him into giving her money, or that she was secretly loaded. Of course, they hadn't been brave enough to ask her directly. The simple thought of what Kugisaki's answer might be was simply too frightening to risk it.
"Hey! Why do you guys always look like you're dying whenever I want to go shopping?!" Suddenly, the cause for all their suffering appeared right in front of them, carrying yet another huge bag filled with god knows what. "Seriously, you're such a bunch of loosers!"
All three just groaned and got to their feet.
Gojo-sensei smiled, before turning towards the general direction of the school. "Well, I'll leave you kids too it then. I have an appointment with the old man in a few minutes, so I'll head back now. Just make sure to be back before curfew, okay?"
The three teens nodded, all thinking the same thing.
He was running away.
Megumi looked like he was seriously contemplating following his lead right about now. The shadow user was looking hot and tired while carrying his share of Kugisaki's haul.
"Maybe we should head back as well, we're still pretty far away from the school after all."
Yuuji nodded, carefully maneuvering to his feet as well while trying not to let any of the mountain of stuff he was supposed to carry back fall to the ground. "Yeah, and since I'm the one stuck with carrying all this, I don't want to risk loosing some of it on our way back if we end up havin to hurry like last time."
Megumi nodded, pity on his face. He seemed to remember the last time this had happened. The end result had been that they didn't only have to carry Nobara's stuff back, but an unconscious Itadori as well. Also, they had missed curfew which had prompted Gojo-sensei to think up one of his weird methods to punish them.
Judging from the slightly disappointed look on their teachers face, he'd apparently really hoped to humiliate them once again.
It never ceased to amaze them how childish this particular adult could bet at times.
Accepting her loss, Nobara nodded as well. "Fine, I think I've gotten everything I needed for now anyways, so lets go already."
Once they started walking, it was apparent that they had made the right call. Gojo and Kugisaki, who were both carrying only one bag each, had taken the lead, followed closely by Megumi, who was holding on to three bags in each hand, looking entirely miserable.
And a few meters behind them, Yuuji was doing his best not to trip while carrying a ridiculous amount of boxes and bags, making him look more like a walking shops display then a human being.
The rose haired teen didn't mind the extra weight. After all, he was far stronger then any normal human. The only thing bothering him was the fact that divine punishment in form of Nobara's hammer would come upon him should he drop any of her stuff. So, more careful then he'd ever been before, he set one foot in front of the other, paying close attention to every little shift in the mountain he was balancing on his arms.
Suddenly, something close to displeasure and annoyance welled up inside him. By this point, he'd gotten used to Sukuna's reactions to certain things and simply chose to ignore it for now.
An even stronger wave of something more dark washed over him so powerfully, it caused him to stop in his tracks for a moment, having to take multiple deep breaths in order to calm his nerves and shove the murderous feelings that weren't his own, back down.
An angry groan sounded somewhere in the back of his head. 'Pathetic brat, letting yourself be used yet again…'
Sighing, he started to walk again. By now, the others had already gone quite a bit ahead, only now noticing that he was lagging behind more then he should.
Megumi raised an eyebrow at him, looking mildly surprised. Nobara just seemed annoyed as she tapped her foot, glaring at him, her gaze radiating almost as much annoyance as the curse spirit inhabiting his body.
"Could you hurry it up already?"
"Yeah, yeah, sorry about that guys!" Forcing a smile, he finally caught up to them.
"You okay Yuuji-kun? You're looking a bit pale there." The contemplative and slightly worried look on his teacher's face was quite obvious despite the man's black blindfold. "You're not getting sick, are you?"
Just as the man threw an arm around his shoulder, another hot stab of anger that wasn't his own raced through his body and for a second, the teen could almost feel black tattoos burning under his skin, itching to show themselves.
His breath hitched for just a moment, as he failed to suppress a faint shudder running down his body before taking another deep breath and stepping away from his concerned teacher.
"I'm fine Sensei, really, I think I'm just a bit tired." Once again, the fake smile was plastered onto his face as the beast inside his body continued to rage on about everyone and everything.
Gojo wasn't buying it, that much was obvious to Yuuji. He just hoped the older male wouldn't call him out of it. With the mood Sukuna was in right now, having a conversation about this would be a bad idea.
Thankfully, his teacher seemed to have caught the slightly pleading look in his eyes and simply nodded, relaxed pose and smile gone from his statue for the time being. The young curse vessel was sure the man would watch him like a hawk for the rest of their way home. He really wasn't certain if this was something he should be happy about, or annoyed at. Sometimes, it was really scary what that man was able to notice sometimes.
An evil snarl in his ear whispered that being annoyed was definitely the right feeling to choose here. Right now though, Yuuji wasn't sure if this were his, or Sukuna's thoughts. Sometimes, it got really hard to separate the two of them. If this was due to the curse learning to better blend into his thought process, or because the two of them were merging together even further as time went on, he didn't know.
And if he was completely honest, he didn't really want to know. Both options were scaring him far more then he cared to admit.
This really wasn't good. He needed to get somewhere quiet, some place isolated, in order to sort this out and deal with the angry curse still poisoning his every thought. Sweat rolled down the back of his neck as he did his best to act normal.
One step after the other, he told himself as he slowly continued towards the school, not caring if his companions were following him or not.
'Come on little one, just let me have at them for a bit, I promise, it will be fun…'
The malicious intend behind those words was clear as day. "Forget it!" It came out as a mix between a growl and a groan, even though he hadn't intended to say anything out loud.
"Hey, Itadori, you say anything?" Megumi looked at him, a little bit of concern on his face. "You seem a bit off today."
He just shook his head. "Nah, just thinking, don't worry."
'God, look at you, wagging your tail like a good little pet for those filthy humans… You're so pathetic'
Biting the inside of his cheek hard, he managed to refrain from voicing any sort of retort out loud. He really didn't feel like slipping up in front of the others for a second time in under a minute.
"Oh come on guys! If we continue at this pace, we won't be back until tomorrow. Itadori, pick up the pace, would ya? You're slowing us down!"
"Hey now Kugisaki, maybe you should leave-" But before Gojo-sensei could finish, the annoyed brunette had turned around and roughly grabbed one of Yuuji's wrists, starting to drag him along, not caring if she almost caused all of her new possessions to be endangered or not. "I will not be punished again, just because you're tired!"
The second his classmate's hand had made contact, Yuuji was one hundred percent sure she had made a huge mistake.
In that very second, Sukuna snapped. White hot anger flooded Yuuji's body so strongly, his vision faded for a moment White noise filled his ears and for a second there, he thought he would pass out. The next thing he knew was the sound of someone shrieking in surprise and pain and the feeling of something wet and sticky on his hand.
Breathing heavily, he tried to force Sukuna's rage away, tried to process what had just happened and how badly he'd screwed up just now.
'Don't you dare touch what doesn't belong to you you filthy little bitch!"
The feeling of moving skin on the back of his hand and the pure disdain in that voice made it pretty obvious who had been the one that had just insulted his classmate. Opening his eyes, he looked down on his hand, not surprised to find a fanged mouth grinning at him wickedly. The one thing he hadn't expected however was the blood all over his fingers and the fact that he was kneeling on the ground, surrounded by everything he'd been carrying just a moment ago.
"Sukuna…?"
'That should teach her…'
Just as the curse disappeared back into his body, Yuuji registered the words it had just spoken. Fear ran through his veins like ice, his gaze still fixed upon the crimson fluid covering his left hand. Of course, he knew what kind of things that evil demon wanted to do to everyone Yuuji cared about. He just prayed that there hadn't been enough time for Sukuna to do too much damage this time around.
"N-nobara…?" He was surprised at how shaky his own voice sounded right now. Finally looking up, he could feel the blood rushing from his face in an instant, making him feel like fainting yet again.
His classmate was kneeling a few feet away, face just as pale as his own. He could make out tears in her eyes as she clutched her heavily bleeding hand close to her chest. She shook slightly and looked something between utterly shocked and frightened.
Megumi and Gojo-sensei were kneeling next to her, the latter trying to get a closer look at her injury while their dark haired classmate tentatively rubbed her back in order to calm her down and to comfort the clearly upset young woman.
"Hey now Nobara, let me take a quick look at that hand, okay?" He'd never heard their teacher be so gentle before. The man took Kugisaki's wrist very carefully, taking care not to put his fingers anywhere close to the injury. Gently pulling the limb towards him, he frowned slightly at what he found.
From his position, Yuuji couldn't see exactly how bad it was, but their Sensei's next words send ugly nausea taking a hold of him.
"Looks like he took quite the bite out of your palm. Ieri-san will have to take a look at that as soon as we get back."
'You know brat, everything I eat ends up in your stomach, after all, we do share this body, right?'
He couldn't breathe anymore. His head spun like crazy as he felt something coppery and bitter make it's way up his throat from his stomach. The only thing he heard as he started retching was the cold laughter that was echoing through his head, taunting him as it's owner was ecstatic at watching him suffer like this.
Through teary eyes, he saw a red mass land right in the middle of the spot he'd just thrown up on just after he'd finally managed to get something big and warm up through his throat. Blood was mixed in there as well. The most disturbing thing however was the fact that the thing he'd just spit out was clearly recognizable as what it was. He could even make out patches of skin on it.
Yuuji started shaking uncontrollably as finally, the tears started to fall silently into the puddle he'd already made on the street.
How dare this bastard force his sick fantasies onto him like that?
A broken and desperate scream tore from his troat as Yuuji wasn't able to contain the horror and the disgust he was feeling with himself right now.
'Well, I wouldn't have to do this if you'd finally accept who you belong to my stupid little brat. Maybe next time, I'll make sure you don't get to throw it back up, maybe I won't leave it at just one bite…' With a quiet chuckle, Sukuna watched him suffer.
"Just shut up…" Yuuji whispered as he brought his hands absentmindedly to his head, fingers raking through his soft, rose colored hair brutally, without a doubt leaving bloody scratches in their wake. "Don't you dare… or, or I'll...-"
'You'll do what? Face it little one, before me, you are powerless, nothing more then a weak little human. Accept it already, even if I can't take over your body completely yet, you still belong to me and me alone.'
"Just SHUT THE HELL UP ALREADY!" Surely, there wasn't anyone in this neighborhood that hadn't heard him howling just now, but that didn't matter to him. Yuuji was so lost in his own despair right now, a meteor could have hit Tokyo this very moment and he wouldn't notice at all.
Breathing heavily, he willed everything away. The people around him, Sukuna, the still thick and sweet smell of blood and vomit and the rough feeling of the pavement under his shaking body.
He could do nothing more then curl in on himself, squeeze his eyes shut, press his hands against his ears, not caring that he got his classmates blood all over his hair and face, and silently cry.
Why couldn't things just go back to the way they had been before his grandpa had fallen ill? Back then, he'd simply been a normal kid with normal friends and only dealing with his normal life. Maybe, if he hadn't followed Megumi into the school that night, things would have turned out differently. Maybe he'd still spend his afternoons with his senpais from the occult club, fooling around and annoying the hell out of their student council president. He missed those times so badly, it hurt.
Sure, Nobara, Megumi and Sensei were great and he was happy he could do something to help others and honor the old man's request, but still…
If he could only have stayed away from all of this, he was sure he would have been happy as well.
'You will never be free of me my little vessel.'
As if he needed that damn curse to tell him that. The second he'd swallowed that first finger, he'd somehow known deep down that things would never be the same. The first second he'd felt this other presence inside of him, felt their connection that was so much deeper then just living in the same body, he'd known that this wouldn't end well for him.
This had also been the reason, he'd taken it so well when Gojo-sensei had told him he was to be executed.
Maybe accepting the deal the white haired male had proposed had been a mistake. If he'd just died back then, Nobara wouldn't have been hurt just now, Sukuna hadn't almost killed Megumi and maybe, Junpei wouldn't have had to die in such a horrible way.
As if he needed Sukuna to whisper into his ear every second of the day, telling him it was all his fault, that he was worthless and should just stop fighting all together.
In some dark and far away corner of his heart, he knew all of this already.
The only thing left for him to do in his life was to keep the damage the two of them as minimal as possible.
There was nothing left for him to do then collecting all of Sukuna and forcing the curse to die with him in the end, no matter if he lost his heath, his life and his sanity in the process.
He'd just hoped he wouldn't cause those he cared about pain and injury in the process.
How on earth was he supposed to make this up to them, especially Nobara? Logically, he knew that there were certain things concerning Sukuna, he couldn't do anything about, but since this was still his body, not the curse's, he felt more then a little bit responsible for his actions.
Finally, he started to calm down a bit, his breathing evening out and his ears starting to pick up more then just the sound of his heart hammering in his chest again. He still felt like throwing up though, the metallic taste of Kugisaki's blood mixed with bile still very prominent on his tongue. Biting his lower lip he tried to focus on anything besides the hot and cold feeling still shaking his body.
Something warm on his shoulder as well as a gentle voice made their way into his awareness as he slowly raised his head, honey brown eyes finding brilliant blue ones, reminding him of the sky and the ocean at the same time.
"Yuuji-kun?"
He couldn't do anything but stare into those eyes for a few seconds, before reflexively jumping away from his teacher.
"S-sensei, you shouldn't...-" He couldn't believe the man was being so reckless! What if Sukuna decided to do it again? The curse was definitely more then riled up enough to give it a second try right about now.
"Ah, there you are again Yuji-kun. No need to worry about me, I'm currently using my cursed technique, so even if he tried, he wouldn't get very far." Those blue eyes that seemed to look directly into his soul had a weirdly calming effect on him as they seemed to convey safety and trust while seemingly registering exactly what was currently going on inside him.
"Okay." He didn't know what else to say for now, staying where he was as his teacher slowly walked towards him. He closed his eyes, expecting to be reprimanded for his actions, but was surprised when instead, he felt strong and warm arms envelope him tightly.
"Shhhshh, it's okay, no need to worry now, got it?" He felt himself nod his head, only jerking it up and down roughly against Gojo-sensei's chest as thick and hot tears continued to fall from his eyes. "Nobody's at fault for this but Sukuna, you understand?"
Until he heard those words, Yuuji hadn't known how much he'd needed someone to tell him this, to understand that he was doing everything he could to protect everyone from that monster.
However, just as he was about to relax, The sensation of skin shifting on his face alerted him to the fact, that once again, the curse inside him had manifested. Dread filled him immediately, making him push away from Gojo yet again.
"Yuuji, what...-?" Stopping mid sentence, that adult seemed to notice what was happening, fixing his gaze at the fanged mouth and burning red eye that had appeared on his student's body. Now, all the softness and the gentle look had vanished out of those blue eyes, making them look like shards of ice.
Yuuji froze completely, unsure, if this was due to the anger radiating off Gojo-sensei, or the fact that the curse had once again chosen to use his body like this in order to torment them yet again. Also, he could feel Sukuna's emotions even more strongly then before, burning hot and almost overwhelming. He couldn't help the slight whimper that escaped his lips, voicing his pain and shock just a little bit.
How was it possible to feel as strongly as this? Hatred and rage strong enough to hurt physically. It shouldn't be possible, but yet, here he was, doing his best not to cry out in pain as the curses darkness tried to override everything he was.
"Go away." Yuuji barely managed to press those two words out between clenched teeth, drawing the curse's attention to him for a brief moment.
'Why should I brat? I'm not here to talk to you anyways right now, so keep your mouth shut or you will regret it.'
What could he say to that? Getting Sukuna angry had never ended well for him in the past and since the strongest sorcerer was focused on them right now anyways, he decided that it was in his best interest to stay quiet and obey Sukuna right now. Gojo-sensei wouldn't let that monster do anything bad, right? If he could avoid getting the king of curses even more angry at him then he was already, he definitely would as long as it didn't affect anyone else badly.
"Hey now, I really don't take to well to someone hurting or threatening my students you know."
'And you really think I care? After all, you can't do anything about it as long as I live in this one's body without hurting him, right?'
The slight tightening of Gojo's jaw made it quite obvious that he was indeed very aware of that.
'Oh, and there is one other thing I want you to keep in mind. I don't take well to people playing around with what is mine, so keep you and your student's hands off this brat if you want them to not loose any more pieces of their bodies.'
With that, the curse disappeared again, but not before glaring evilly at Megumi and Nobara.
'And as for you my dear host, If you don't want something like today to happen again, you'd better start accepting your place. We'll have a very in depth conversation about that later, so be prepared…"
Finally, Sukuna seemed to have said enough for now. However, this last sentence had Yuuji's blood run could. This wouldn't be the first time Sukuna was dragging him into his domain while he slept and each time, it had been a very painful experience for him.
After all, the king of curses was a huge fan of punishing those who opposed him. And in Sukuna's eyes Yuuji was the pure embodiment of insolence towards his person. Yuuji was also the only person Sukuna could torment as much as he pleased. And as long as the curse put him back together after he was done with him, the rose haired teen would be fine afterwards. In the end, in his domain, the king's powers were absolute. There was absolutely nothing he couldn't do to his host In there.
This was something, he simply wouldn't be able to avoid. He couldn't stay awake forever after all, so he might as well get it over with and face Sukuna's wrath rather sooner then later.
Sighing, a completely defeated look on his face, he slowly made his way towards his classmates who were still on the ground, watching everything that was happening carefully.
Wiping his face with the sleeve of his uniform, he tried smiling at them. "I'm really sorry you guys, Kugisaki, are you okay? I hope he didn't get you too bad there." Man, he should have tried becoming an actor. Yuuji really didn't know how he managed to keep his voice this steady after everything that had happened. He even managed to keep his hands and legs from shaking too badly.
The brunette only shrugged. "I was more surprised then anything else. Sensei bandaged it and once we're back, I'll have Ieri-sensei fix it, so don't start acting all depressed about it, got it? Also, you owe me, so you'd better do as I say."
So it really was okay then?
But even if she said that now, she would surely never forget what had happened today. He felt sad at the thought of not being able to simply hug his friends anymore, or be hugged by them for that matter. He wouldn't risk Sukuna doing something like this ever again.
"Thanks, I really don't know why, but Sukuna's been really pissed lately. I didn't think he'd actually try something like this though." Rubbing the back of his head, he started picking up all the stuff he'd dropped. Thankfully, he'd somehow managed not to be sick all over any it. If he had, Nobara surely would have killed him right on the spot.
"Seriously Itadori, Sukuna is one hell of a bitch, so this really wasn't your fault." His classmates both smiled at him,
Once they had gathered everything, Megumi helped their female classmate to her feet and they finally walked the rest of the way home in silence, each of them lost in their own heads.
Once back at their dorm, their teacher remembered his meeting and hurried off. Just when he was gone, his classmates declared that they would go to their schools physician to have Kugisaki's hand fixed up. This left Yuuji to take care of putting all of Nobara's stuff into her room.
After that was done, he was alone. Now the only thing left for him to do was thinking about what he needed to take care of next.
Even though it was getting late and he hadn't had anything to eat since noon, he still couldn't imagine eating anything anytime soon.
And there it was again. A thought that normally would have freaked him out and he would never dreamed of thinking a few months ago. Right now, he was remembering the taste of his classmates flesh on his tongue, feeling oddly satisfied by it. A grin was tugging on his mouth as he slowly made his way towards his room, horrified and delighted at the same time.
Was Sukuna really affecting him this badly already?
'Don't forget you're half curse now little one. I was wondering when you'd start behaving accordingly…'
Of course he knew. How could he not? It had only been small things at first, some of which he had related to Sukuna's presence, one being the strange urge to laugh at others misfortune from time to time, another having developed an interest in especially bloody and rare meat products. He'd also noticed his senses having improved some. His hearing and night vision were especially effected by this.
But starting to crave the taste of human meat? This was just disgusting.
'Oh, I will make sure you won't forget that sweet and warm taste my little pet. '
Howling laughter accompanied him the entire way to his room.
Up until now, he hadn't told anyone about all of this. He was sure they would just worry about him and that was something, he really didn't want. And with this new development, there was no way they would see him as anything but a monster once they found out.
Taking off his clothes, he walked into his bathroom. Taking one look in the mirror had him almost reeling back in disgust. His hair was a mess, covered in blood and spiking off in every direction, making it look like he hadn't washed it in weeks. Also, one of his hands as well as half his face were still colored a dark crimson.
Had he really been walking around in public like this? Damn, they were lucky no one had called the cops on them!
Angrily grabbing his toothbrush, he went about brushing his teeth, using way more toothpaste then necessary in order to finally get that disturbing taste of vomit and blood off his tongue. Once he'd been more or less successful, he climbed into the shower and simply stood there, letting the hot water soothe his nerves and wash away the by now half dry blood from his body.
He wished he could stay there in the soothing warmth forever, but he still had an angry curse to face, as well as get enough sleep to be able to be somewhat functional in the morning.
Reluctantly, he shut off the water and stepped out of the bathroom a moment later, having one towel draped over his head and another one wrapped around his waist.
Just when he'd finished drying himself off and had put on a pair of shorts as well as a hoodie, a knock on his door efficiently put an and to the dark train of thought that had once again enveloped his mind, Fuck, he really wasn't looking forward to going to sleep later.
"Come in."
It really didn't surprise him to see his teacher slowly walking into his room, before closing the door and sitting down on the bed next to him.
"I just checked up on Kugisaki. She's fine again. Ieri-san was able to use a reverse technique on her hand, it's good as new now."
Yuuji nodded, grateful for the information. "Thanks Sensei, that's good to know."
Both stayed silent for a minute after that. Yuuji was certain his teacher hadn't just come here to tell him that his classmate was fine again. A moment later, his suspicion was proven accurate.
"Listen Yuuji, I know I can't even remotely imagine what you're going through right now, but I want to know that you can come to me and to others for anything, okay? No matter if you need to talk or just for company, we'll do our best to help in any way we can, got it?"
After Yuuji had nodded, the white haired man continued. "Also, I'd really like for you to be a bit more open about it if anything's going on with Sukuna. If you'd told us something was off, maybe I could have done something to prevent with Kugisaki today."
Of course he knew that. Of course he blamed himself for getting his friend hurt. It was only fair if his teacher was doing the same.
Still tough, having the man tell him this to his face hurt.
"I'm sorry. Until we started walking back, everything was relatively fine. I mean, Sukuna has been a bit more irritated then usual lately, but I didn't think too much of it. And then, on our way back, he just snapped completely. I never expected he'd do something like this."
After looking at him for a bit, apparently thinking about something, Gojo nodded. "I see. Do you have any idea why though?"
Now that he thought about it, the curse had made a few comments earlier that seemed relevant. "Hm, I'm not sure, but I think he doesn't like it when I get too close with other people. He always going on about how I'm his property and stuff. He knows he can't hurt you because of your cursed technique, but when you touched me earlier, he got really irritated. And then, Kugisaki grabbed my wrist and then, he just snapped."
Gojo-sensei seemed to contemplate this for a bit. It was apparent that he really wasn't happy with the situation at all. "I see. You seem to have a pretty good grasp at what he's feeling. That's pretty interesting you know?"
"Not really. It's just that I can kinda feel his emotions myself, as if they were my own. Sometimes it get's a bit confusing to separate his from my own though." Yuuji just hoped the other sorcerer wouldn't ask further questions and simply drop the topic. He really didn't feel like lying to his teacher.
"Okay, I'll keep that in mind. Anything else you want to tell me? I promise whatever it is, it won't leave this room."
It was really tempting. Yuuji wished he could just open up about everything that was happening, everything Sukuna was doing to him, the feeling as if he lost himself and so much more… But sadly, he couldn't, at least not if he wanted to keep things as they were for now.
As much as it pained him to do this, he forced a smile, hoping to be able to fool his teacher at least to some extend. "Thanks Sensei, I really appreciate it. I'll make sure to come to you when something changes, or anything weird is going on, I promise!"
Was this disappointment flashing over that partially covered face? It was gone too fast for him to be sure about it though, so he chalked it up to his current state of nervousness.
"I see, I guess I should leave you to it then, you look like you really need to rest kid." With one last grin, the man ruffled his hair and left the room, causing Sukuna to hiss insults in Yuuji's head, promising the most painful death he could think of to the strongest sorcerer.
Once the door fell shut, Yuuji was alone again, or at least as alone as he was ever going to be for the rest of his life.
Tiredly flopping down onto his bed, he curled up, not bothering to even get under the blanket. He just laid there, waiting for sleep and for the monster in his head to once again drag him down into what had become his personal hell over time.
Sadly, he didn't have to wait long. As soon as his eyes had been closed for more then three seconds, he could feel himself falling into darkness, the smell of blood and death growing stronger with each passing moment.
Once he opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a pool of reddish water, staring up at a face scarily similar to his own.
'Well then brat, shall we get started?'
Oh how he wished he could wipe the smirk off Sukuna's face.
