Chapter 37 :
Once what the rods have been successfully retracted from the bijuu, the gedo, pulled back the bijuu back in it's mouth, Misaki jumped down and ensured that sealing of the once jinchuriki, not allowing the memories of their life be tarnished any longer, she can only guess what Natsume felt seeing her former master or Yoko who never had the chance to say goodbye to Utakata as she handed them back for them to safe keep. Those who had loved and lost jinchurikis barely had anything left of their loved one to mourn over, maybe this one simple scroll can at least give them back a part of they have lost.
This battle was a win for them, but she could feel it in her bones that the battle had just begun. Their foe, the enemy they stand against, had years of planning and preparing for this moment, Misaki would not be surprised if they had a complete alphabet of back up plans just waiting to be cracked open.
Everyone is holding on to their strength, preserving as much as they can everytime the enemy takes his rest, Misaki's hugged, herself, fingers digging on her arms, hundreds of men have lost their lives fighting this war, too much that the bitter taste of defeat will rest in their tongues even in victory.
"Reinforcements are coming, those who have finished with their respective companies are already on their way here, Kazumi and Itachi have reached their destination." Yoko placed her hand on the red head's shoulder, noticing her discomfort.
"It's only a matter of time now, we will definitely win this thing" Natsume gave her a wink and a thumbs up, showing that rufian smile of hers.
Smiling, Ayako nodded but deep down, she couldn't shake off the nagging feeling…
How are the kages holding up? She shouldn't be doubting but still, she couldn't take her mind off Gaara.
"Here it goes again!" Natsume exclaimed as the gedo statue advanced on them, slamming and swiping its limbs as if it was trying to get rid of bugs.
"Natsume, Ayako and I will help the others hold him back, Misaki figure out a way to seal off the statue," Yoko decimated their tasks, leaving Misaki alone. In order to seal the statue with the strength of collected bijuu, her options were sparse, heck she didn't even know if it would work, she needs an awful lot of chakra that can rival a tailed beast and luck on her side.
Sitting down on the least disturbed ground, she placed all her trust in her team's hands and surrendered into a deep meditation collecting the energy that surrounded them.

"Well that was surprisingly anticlimactic" Kazumi mainly stayed on the sidelines, giving the Uchiha brothers to work together after so very long. Looking at the stone still Kabuto, blindly following Itachi's instructions, he was less intimidating.
Kabuto had always seemed intimidating to Kazumi, the loyal follower of Orochimaru was shrouded with mystery and mischief, never fully showing all his cards, like a master magician, he was able to turn the tides of the war against them. The being said, the respect she has on his medical prowess remained steadfast. Without any moral restraints he achieved feats no one can ever dream of, like the state he is currently in. Kazumi can remember how her heart dropped when he removed the cloth in which he hid himself, skin gray and ghastly, but the defining feature was the large snake that protruded from his stomach.
Once he had finished casting the genjutsu on Kabuto, he fell on one knee, catching his breath. This was after all the first time he had a breather since he and Kazumi left HQ. Kazumi was instantly kneeling by his side, handing him his medicine and checking his vitals.
"Eat and get some rest, we've been travelling non stop to get here" Kazumi instructed, handing him water and some food.
"We have to get back to the front lines" Itachi insisted on skipping rest.
"You will be of no use if you're half dead now," Kazumi scolded, jumping out of her skin when Sasuke cleared his throat, she forgot that they weren't alone, Kazumi looked at Sasuke and back to Itachi, placing a reassuring hand on his shoulder.
"The war is important, but you can't run away from this anymore, you're his big brother and he needs you right now, more than ever" Kazumi convinced Itachi.
"I'll be outside, HQ need to know what happened, you guys take all the time you need" Kazumi left the brothers to their own devices.
After Kazumi had sent messages to both HQ and to Yoko, and finished reviewing her provisions and inventory of Itachi's medicine, he finally came out of the cave, thankfully unscathed. He looked sad, almost torn but a smile still adorned his face, an action that reminded her so much of Misaki, but then again they had been best friends growing up, so close that so much of Misaki was because of Itachi.
Kazumi reached out and pulled Itachi into her arms, pressing his face on her shoulder, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, blanketing him in a warm embrace.
"Your tears, your pain, your loneliness give them to me, I'll guard them for you" Kazumi patted his hair, when finally he began to sob, quietly, the war can wait, for now Itachi is safe in her arms.

After the statue swallowed the artifacts that held the remnants of the chakra left by the bijuu, it began to go haywire, and so did Tobi, leaving Misaki vulnerable to their rampage so he instructed Ayako to guard her while they launched an all out attack on Tobi and the Gedo Statue. While the statue still stood, they were able to decipher the weakness behind Tobi's phasing, and an even more shocking discovery presented itself as they gained the upper hand and broke his mask.
His identity… Uchiha Obito
Given the current circumstances, they did not have enough time to celebrate their victory for that battle, because Uchiha Madara arrived like a meteor disturbing the silence, and as if his arrival during their fight wasn't enough shake their core, the reason how he was able to get here was even more earth shattering.
He had defeated the Five Kages,
Reason disappeared from Ayako's mind, fear and logic followed close behind, anger dominated her senses as if it replaced the very blood flowing in her veins, torrents and torrents of wind formed around her, scathing everything in its wake, friend of foe, not even her own self. Just then everybody understood why the Isago clan of assassins were greatly feared
"HOW THE FUCK DID YOU GET HERE?! WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO GAARA!" the usually soft spoken Ayako seethed, activating the power hidden in the Isago bloodline, Yoko worrying for her well being. In her anger, Ayako didn't realize she was hurting herself, her own blistering wind was slicing against her skin, and she just didn't care.
A burst of blinding golden light shone, golden chakra forced Ayako's winds down, Misaki standing behind Ayako, hand on her shoulder.
"Ayako" almost instantly, Ayako slumped down on her knees, crying, Misaki knelt beside her, whispering something in her ear before standing up, and facing the rest of her teammates and their newly expanded foe.
"Her eyes? Sage mode?" Naruto mumbled as Misaki stood next to her, glowing yellow as he glowed orange. Misaki looked behind them and found Gyuki pinned down with purple chakra chains and the signature rinnegan pole.
"This is nothing but a cheap imitation" Misaki's chakra formed into smaller chains and constricted the purple chains until it broke, Naruto followed up and used Kurama's tails to return the poles back to its original owner, of course it was easy for Madara to deflect them, as expected for a reanimated corpse who was able to break away from the very thing that binds him to life, and still live.
Madara callously questions Obito, simultaneously revealing taking advantage of Nagato, angering and provoking Naruto to attack haphazardly, and thus, he, as a mere shadow clone, disappeared when Madara reflected his attack right back at him.
"I'll be taking the Hachibi and the Kyubii, Obito you take care of those two" Madara ordered and lunged towards his of the blue and explosion once again racked the very land they stood on, the impact blasting them paces away.
"I'm not going to let you, I am the son of the yondaime hokage you know! I'm not going to fall by all your talk," Naruto yelled at Madara, standing next to Misaki.
"I was going easy on you because you were the actual jinchuriki, not a clone, but if that's how you feel, I won't hold back on you! This is Hashirama's wood dragon, which he used to hold down my nine tails long ago," Madara unleashed a snake like dragon, soaring on the ground like a sky dragon soaring through the clouds.
"Like hell I'd let you!" Natsume prepared to unleash an attack but Misaki held out her hand.
"Yoko-nee, please take Natsume and Ayako to safety on Bee-san" Misaki said, Yoko despite Natsume's dismay agreed and took the unconscious Ayako with her when she and Natsume moved on top of Gyuki's head. From afar, Yoko watched as Misaki removed her haori, her backless shirt revealing seven tattoos representing each seal, the seventh, was glowing.
"She finally used it," Yoko mumbled.
"What is it?" Guy asked.
"It's a technique she came up with, it's inspired by your eight gates release and Tsunade-sama's strength of a hundred seal technique. Over the years she has been reserving a huge amount of her strength and pouring them into her seals. That's why she heavily relies on kenjutsu, not a single chakra wasted" Yoko explained, there was no doubt in Yoko's mind that the technique Misaki made for herself was even made more powerful by the unique chakra that resided in her bloodline.
"Good, cause the only way you'd be getting your dead hands on Naruto is through me," Misaki smirked at him. It irked Madara that this tiny little girl had the gall to vex him.
"I'm not going to go easy on a zombie, since you're already dead!" Naruto unleashed Kurama's form once again and battled the wooden dragon head on, meanwhile, Misaki launched herself towards Madara, sword drawn.
"Little girl, you're several years early to be going against me" Madara swung the Uchiha fan to smite Misaki, and in that shear moment his fan had blocked his sight of her, she was already gone, what followed was a skull cracking tornado roundhouse kick that sent him skidding on the floor.
"And you're several years too dead to still be terrorizing people, but here you are" Misaki landed several paces away from him, sage eyes staring eerily at him. Senjutsu, something that Hashirama utilized against him. Madara was coming to realize that there is more to this little girl than he had initially anticipated.
"Don't be surprised, I already had you marked the first time I encountered, you it's a little gift from my father, I hope you like it" Misaki didn't give him time to rest, and continued attacking him in very fast successions injuring him faster than his edo tensei can reanimate his body, taking full advantage of the mark she left.
"And the best part about it, is that it never fades," Misaki smirked and slashed her katana on her armor momentarily showing her the face of the first hokage. Misaki pushed Madara on his feet, never showing an opening; not only was she incredibly fast, she was also well versed in fighting against dojutsu.
Her focus was broken through by the sound of Naruto's Kurama form succumbing and being absorbed by dragon mokton, then immediately shifted his target to an unsuspecting Gyuki, roots protruding from beneath him, constricting him in a tight hold.
"Natsume!" Yoko called out, but the hot head didn't need any further instructions, as she had already finished weaving hand signs.
"Katon: Gluttonous Dragon" and from Natsume came forth the giant Hino blue flamed dragon, eating away the wood, just as it grows.
"Keep that up!" Natsume quickly finished a message to Kazumi to go to the kage's battlefield, silently hoping that they will make it in time.
Making use of the distraction Madara slammed his fan towards Misaki, but just as before, she was gone the moment he was blindsided.
He looked up towards the Kyuubi jinchuuriki and realized that Misaki was already at his side, floating next to him within his mask of chakra. His plans have been thwarted far enough and this battle has dragged on long enough, it was time to end this little game, so Madara mustered his susanoo whilst Tobi raised his giant shurinken ready to strike down Kakashi.
"You guys make me so mad I can't even think straight, so instead, let me tell you something about myself" Naruto said and Misaki held on to his shoulder, disappearing with her, the moment their enemies resolved to strike.
Naruto appeared and caught Obito's Shurinken whilst Misaki appeared in front of Madara's Susanoo, holding it up with a katana made out of her golden adamantine chakra before it could strike Gyuki.
"I'm not trash, I will stop you, and I will NEVER LET ME COMRADES DIE!" Naruto yelled out his convictions. This however didn't hinder Madara's resolve using Susanoo, he created another limb, ready to strike down Misaki. Misaki on the other hand saw this coming and smirked at Madara.
"How predictable" she muttered, golden chains burst forth from the very ground he was standing on, wrapping around him and his susanoo in rapid motions, forcing it to submission, and as if that wasn't enough to support their conviction, Natsume's dragon had finished of burning Madara's mokton and Gyuki was able to easily shrug it off.
"Misaki we can't afford Naruto or Killer Bee getting caught in mokton" Yoko reminded Misaki who nodded, though both of them were redirected to the cracking seal of the rampant juubi.
"Whatever the case is, we have to deal with the juubi"
Naruto once again gathered his and Kurama's chakra, and together with Gyukki and Killer Bee, amassed their powers creating two massive tailed beast bombs in order to take down Juubi before it could do anything else.
"Hold on!" Yoko hugged the unconscious Ayako to her, whilst Misaki surrounded the top of Gyuki's head with a protective barrier.
A flood of sensations drowned their senses and in the aftermath of the destruction, the collected smoke surrounded them, revealing what they have been dreading for since the very beginning.
Followed by a deafening screech.
This was going to be a different battle from now on.

Kazumi and Itachi were both on their way to the battlefield, when Kazumi received Yoko's message.
"That's odd," Kazumi stopped, someone as collected as Yoko rarely called for urgent messages, but then again all is fair in love and war. Kazumi opened the message and in an instant she was back to her running… in a different direction.
"What is it?"
"Edo Tensei Madara wasn't pulled back when Kabuto deactivated the jutsu, and he's currently at the front lines"
"That means?!"
"The kages are either dead or dying" Kazumi showed Itachi Yoko's message.
"We have no time to lose, let's go" Itachi burned the message and both fled the scene as fast as their feet could take them.
On their way there, an earth shaking explosion vibrated throughout the lands, but they did not slow their pace, even though it killed them not to go straight to the front lines, they both knew how important their mission was.
She can only imagine what Ayako must have felt, losing Gaara the second time.

"Shall we begin?" Madara together with Obito perched on top of the newly awakened Juubi, with veins attached to the chakra giant.
"Yoko-nee, you need to get to the kyuubi, you'll be safer there, and Ayoko will be able to recover within the kyuubi's chakra" Misaki sent them exactly there so they can plan their next attack.
"It's been a while since we teamed up like this again" Misaki talked to both Gyuuki and Killer Bee with a nostalgic smile.
Nostalgia was short lived as the physically defying juubi came on to them, and fast.
"Listen up! First we keep our distance and see what move he makes, then we'll counter attack and hit him with a big blow as close as we can get, just like I said earlier" Kurama instructed
"Sounds like a plan" Misaki prepared herself for their next move.
"Kyuubi, you're acting like a captain" Kakashi commented.
"Huh, you got a problem with that?!" Kurama bit back.
"Nope, I'm actually quite happy" Kakashi replied.
"Aww, you're feeling all mushy inside aren't ya?" Natsume teased.
"That live, save it for after we've won! Let's go!" Kurama growled.
They met Juubi half way, well almost halfway as the giant was already there behind the fog lines ready to take a swipe at them, way faster than they had anticipated.
Kurama took the initiative and distracted juubi, giving clearance for Gyuki's attack, and thus leaving time for them to prepare their own attack not wasting a moment.
"Bijuu: Bomb Barrage" both Kurama and Gyuki fired at the same time, but they didn't dodge and that bothered Yoko, it means they are basically doing the same thing they are.
Juubi displayed an intense display of power, cascading on the battlefield like a freshly sharpened scythe against the soft grass.
"Persistent lot" as the turmoil subsided, they were left with the Kuramai and what remained of of Gyuki.
"Naruto, don't tell me, that thing just- " Gay couldn't even form a coherent thought, but Kakashi reassured him, pointing up.
"I hope this is nice and close up for you" Misaki free falled towards them, summoning Gyuki mid air.
"Operation Octupos Pot/ Sorry for the cowardly Plot!"
"I'm gonna smash into his eyeball" Gyuki, launched himself towards the eyes, the proximity making it more evident to Misaki, the difference in power between the bijuu.
Everything was perfect, but ir was this difference that worked against them, with just a flick of his talloned finger, Gyuki's attack was aimed back at him, blasting him out of range.
"So this is the power you wanted?" Misaki muttered as she continued to fall, staring right at Madara, irking the older gentleman.
"There's a fly" and by command, the Juubi swung one of it's gigantic tails towards Misaki, and just as always she was there for a second and then gone, again.
"MISAKI!" Kakashi held on to Misaki who flashed next to them just as their giant vessel was breaking Gyuki's fall.
"I'm good," Misaki reassured with a small smile, this was bad, she used up the last of her first reserve deflecting Juubi's attack and pulling off that feat with Gyuuki, and as if that wasn't bad enough, Naruto Killer Bee, Gyuki and Kurama were both out of juice, letting the fall on the ground.
But as she landed on the ground, Misaki felt it, a feat more gigantic that the collection of bijuu, it was the barrage of thousands of feet running in unison, one look at Naruto and Misaki knew that he felt it too.
Standing side to side, both of them made the sign of the shadow clone.
"Your favorite technique? It may be a forbidden high-level ninjutsu, but increasing the number of losers won't-"
"I'm not a LOSER!" Naruto yelled back.
"Stop it Naruto that will only divide your chakra even more" Kakashi explained helping Guy up, but what piqued Kakashi was Misaki was doing it too.
"You were always just a motley crew anyway" Madara brushed off.
"Mo-Motley crew?" Naruto struggled to repeat, this was almost too easy, it was like Madara was doing all the work for them.
"Like I said you're incompetent"
"He's saying that it's pointless to merely increase the number of heads if they are all empty, you and I are both powerless shinobi, you, no I should say everyone will eventually end up like me" Obito lamented
"I'll never end up like you! How many times do I have to tell you?! My dream is to become the hokage!" Naruto rebuffed.
"Don't worry, everything will go as planned, there is no shinobi technique mightier than the infinite tsukiyomi, I'll make you the hokage within this technique, so disappear along with the rest of this world!" Obito willed the juubi and launched a bijuu beast bomb but the twins stood their ground.
"Did it miss the purpose?" Kakashi asked, but was quick to retract his speculations when his wife materialized in front him.
"Kaede?!"
"Kakshi, Guy, sorry to keep you waiting" more and more of their allies poured in.
"Damn I can't believe this guy shook off my byakugan assisted mind transfer technique in two seconds" Ino grumbled, assisted by Hinata as they landed.
"What's important is you diverted that thing's aim. Good work" Neji's dad complimented.
"Naruto-kun are you alright?" Hinata asked.
More and more poured in, and as they poured in, their arrival masked by the aftermath of the juubi's missed attack and the kirigakure and the Aburame's jutsu.
"Kaede-baa, Sakura-chan first off" Naruto called and the two medics were already onto Guy and Kakashi, respectively.
The first, second, third, fourth and fifth company poured in, even the medics and the sensory unit had arrived.
"Talk about impeccable timing" Misaki smiled, they weren't alone.
Madara however probably had figured out this little folly, swinging a tale to whisk away the fog, but the futon experts from Sunagakure did the job for him, the entirety of the allied shinobi forces.
"We're not a motley crew anymore! Here is the Allied Shinobi Forces Technique, the world's greatest, most invincible, super-duber ninjutsu, a technique that trumps the Infinite Tsukiyomi, believe it!" Naruto declared.
"Allied Shinobi Forces Technique huh, don't you think that's a bit of stretch?" Madara commented.
"We're going to beat the two of you with this technique!"
"You're wrong, why won't you realize that it's meaningless for you to stop us here?, After this war, even that technique will disintegrate then someone from your side will attempt to do exactly what we're doing now, there is no victory, no matter how much you struggle, get it through your head, there is no such thing as hope anywhere in this world," Obito lectured.
"Look around you, you achieved what no one has ever done, what the Hashirama-hokage-sama only dreamt of. You united these people, forced them to set their differences aside to fight for what they believe in, and that is hope" Misaki reasoned.
"Your hope is false, coming together only to fight a common enemy"
"I don't care! I'll make sure there's hope" Naruto professed.
"It's meaningless to argue whether if it is or isn't in the middle of war, let's settle this now" Madara redirected their conversation.
"Spoken like a true dreary old man" Misaki smirked.
"When there's a difference of opinion, isn't the usual way majority rule? So what do we do?"
"That's a good suggestion, then we'll call it after we've erased all of you"
"I knew you'll say that, but this world will NOT END" After Naruto said that, Shikaku spoke to the two of them.
"Thanks for buying us time" Shikaku voiced.
"Thank them they did most of the talking" Misaki inserted.
"Did you think of a plan?" Naruto asked.
"Thanks to that I was able to relay it to everyone, Kakashi told us the masked man is Uchiha Obito, but there is no time to be shocked, for this fight, we need to take and maintain the upper hand, and not give them any opportunity to counter, according to the intel we received, our enemy has impressive eyes," Shikaku narrated the plan to the twins, immobilizing the juubi in an impressive display of cooperation and succession.
Naruto and Misaki stood side by side, at the edge of the cored earth.
"No one but a Nara could have hatched something such as this using what only intel we know" Misaki commented, coating her sword with golden lightning.
Once again, they were reminded of the difference in prowess when the Juubi rather easily escaped it's bindings, blasting everyone back out as it climbed to the surface.
"Misaki?!" Kaede ran to Misaki who just landed, holding on to her torso that got hit by a random debris.
"I'm fine" Misaki struggled to stand, Kaede moved to heal her but Misaki pushed her hand down.
"I can manage, others need you more than I do" Misaki gave her best pained smile, but it was a smile nonetheless.
Whilst they waited sizing up their enemy, the juubi began to shoot bijuu bombs in random far off directions, unless?!
Yoko observed the directions of the bombs, it was Madara who was controlling the juubi this time.
"It's going for the HQ!" Yoko yelled at everyone, a fact that was confirmed by Neji as he followed the last bomb.
"Damn it" Misaki bit her lip to force her second reserve open, she could still get there, however, Shikaku's voice echoed in her head.
"Reserve your strength, you're going to need it, besides he won't stop until he destroys HQ so reserve your strength, you are one of the only people capable of sealing juubi " Shikaku especially instructed her.
Begrudgingly, Misaki withheld her plans to thwart the bijuu bomb.
"Ao-sama" Yoko muttered, lamenting, another person close to her heart lost, but it was hypocritical to lament as she wasn't the only one who lost someone during this war.
"Yoko-nee, we can't stand idly" to her surprise it was Ayako who assured her, next to Natsume.
"You're right, let's do this" Yoko Natsume and Ayako scattered to stop the onslaught of the juubi's attacks.
Juubi directed his attacks towards Naruto who was being protected by Hyugas, whilst he was relatively unscathed, the fall of the HQ still weighed on Naruto's mind, so much so that he wasn't able to protect himself from the pilf of stakes that rained towards him, forcing Hinata and Neji to shield him with their bodies.
"Like hell I'd let you die on me" Natsume punched a blue dragon flame disintegrating the stakes mid air.
"Listen here you little kitsune, this war centers around you, you have to be responsible for the lives you hold in your hands, Misaki's this Hyuga girl's and almost everyone here relies on you, so knock some sense into your noggin and get your head back in the game or I will do it for you" Natsume, shook Naruto awake.
Naruto looked around him, more and more were dying as they stood next to him. Natsume was right, he had to make do with his promise, and as if that wasn't enough Obito rubbed it in his face.
"Shut up!" Natsume who was so angry that veins were popping on her forehead continued to rain down on Naruto.
"Don't tell me you're going to fall for that little crybaby's reasoning" Natsume stomped towards Neji.
"And you're supposed to be a genius and you couldn't think of a way to avoid that" Natsume scolded Neji.
"You know I've never seen her this angry, she almost reminds me of mom" Misaki whispered to Ayako.
"I know, she even told Obito to shut up" Ayako whispered back. Misaki watched as Hinata poured out her heart and explained to Naruto what Natsume meant, thankfully this seemed to awaken something within Naruto, even more so when Gyuki and Killer Bee repelled the Juubi's latest with the energy only their combination can muster.
With renewed vigor, Naruto summoned Kurama's chakra, this time, even Hinata received Kurama's power.
"Nice work transforming and transferring my chakra," Kurama commended
This didn't bode well for Obito when Hinata was able to deflect his anger with her technique amplified by Kurama's chakra. It angered him more that they kept on using these futile attempt to stop him, berating Naruto and not letting his comrades die when earlier a lot of their forces were killed by the attacks.
"The words "I'll never let my comrades die' those words are also an admonition aimed at myself. I haven't been able to save many comrades, which is why I keep telling myself this time, I will protect them, but then I end up having to face the fact that I couldn't once more, I'll be confronting those wounds, for the rest of my life" Kakashi grieved.
"But that's why we're ninja, we are those who endure, they'll never let you forget, but it's those wounds that prove your comrades live on inside here. Our comrades are still alive." Kaede comforted Kakashi by placing her hand on his chest.
"Friends that you create inside a dream, so you can't get hurt aren't real, that only means you are just erasing your real friends, curse or not, I want to keep fighting for my comrades here" Naruto stated.
"Misaki I need your help" Naruto held out his fist and Misaki bumped it with hers, as soon as their skins touched, Misaki too was engulfed in Kurama's chakra, forcing her second reserve to open almost immediately.
"I never expected your chakra is warm thank you" Misaki told N aruto, but directed her attention deep within him, to Kurama.
Channeling this chakra, she released thread-like chakras all over the battlefield wrapping around every single person, receiving Naruto and Kurama's chakra was more than impressed with the twins and couldn't help but feel a sense of pride. Those two who grew up as outcasts, have now surpassed their parents
'Kushina, Minato, you both pale in comparison to your little brats, but then again this is probably what you've wanted to happen' Kurama chuckled, he may have had a love hate relationship with their parents but it was a bond nonetheless.
Now that everyone was into focus, Neji took his time to look at Natsume who was purposely avoiding his gaze next to him. In a lot of ways she reminded him of Naruto, never accepting the fact to let things run its course. It's people like her who refuse to back down even if the odds are completely against them.

"What?!" she snapped at him, but he reached out his hand and held hers.
"Thank you" the action startled Natsume into looking into his eyes, thus making her blush.
"Stupid" Natsume muttered but didn't take her hand away.
With Kurama's power, the allied shinobi forces instigated the last of Shikaku's instructions, and entrapped Juubi starting with Konoha's signature formation, the Ino-Shika-Cho
"Naruto! Now's your chance,!" Shikamaru ordered when he began to feel the Juubi shake off his grasp and begin to cage their forces within its tails.
"Let's show them the power of this allied shinobi forces technique shall we" Misaki swung her swords simultaneously letting Kurama and her chakra wrap around it, and as the back of the blade landed on her shoulder, her opened second reserve infused well with the chakra.
"I'll take the right, you take the left?" Misaki asked, and all at once, they seized the opportunity, their combined formation slicing through several limbs of the Juubi.
"Ready to take the lead?" Misaki reached out to Naruto and flashed them towards their targets. Naruto severed Obito from the Juubi with his Rasen Shurinken whilst Misaki sliced Madara off of his, causing the massive fallout that the now independent Juubi is now experiencing.
"Unlike you guys, I don't want to sever any of my bonds or get them cut off!" Naruto declared as both sides now stood on equal ground.

Just a little note here, I know that I committed a bit of an anachronism, of changing the time of the Inoichi's announcement to the allied forces, and I purposely did that so I apologize to the entire fandom if this bothered you. Now that we are in the apologizing section, why not just apologize for the whole war sequence, I really did my best to write this part of the war, and the filler episodes did not make it easy.
I know I know I let Itachi live and now Neji too, but I can't help it. I love them, I would rather suffer than lose them in this fanfiction too. If there was anyone who deserved to live it was those two.
