On May 23 of 1919, now 13½ years old Kayden Murdoch was taking a walk with his younger brother named, Kelan Murdoch. Kayden dreamed of having a little brother. He always wanted to be a big brother like his best friends were. But July 11 of 1912 was the best day of his life when his new baby brother was born. "Kay-Kay, is daddy gonna get you a motorcycle for your birthday?" Kelan asked.
Kayden chuckled at him as he ruffled his hair.
"Unfortunately no, baby brother." Kayden tells him.
"How come?" Kelan asked.
"Mom and dad say it's too dangerous." Kayden replies.
"Why?" Kelan asked again.
Kayden chuckled at him again.
"You're just full of questions, ain't ya baby brother, huh?" Kayden said with a smirk.
"I don't know." Kelan said, making Kayden laugh a little.
They saw a young girl with blonde hair, the same age as Kayden, reading a book on the bench while her little brothers played on the playground.
"Can I go play with them, please?" Kelan begged.
Kayden smiled and ruffled his hair.
"Sure kid." He said as Kelan hugged him before running off to play with other boys.
Kayden walks over to the girl.
"Um, hi…" He spoke as the girl looked up.
"Oh, hello." The girl smiled.
Kayden smiled at how beautiful she was.
"Mind if I sit and join you?" He asked her.
"No, not at all." The girl replied.
"Great." Kayden smiled as he sat down.
The girl went back to her book as Kayden cleared his throat.
"So…what's your name?" Kayden asked her.
The girl looked back up.
"Kathleen." She replied. "Kathleen Ginger."
She held her hand out for him to shake.
"Kayden." He smiled. "Kayden Murdoch."
"It's very nice to meet you, Kayden." Kathleen smiled.
"Please don't take this the wrong way, but…" He started. "But you're really beautiful."
Kathleen began to blushed hard.
"Oh, why thank you…Kayden." She said. "You're not that bad looking yourself."
Kayden smirked.
"Are you doing anything tomorrow?" He asked.
"I am now." Kathleen gave him a smirk.
Kayden smirks and takes her hand, softly kisses the top of hand, making Kathleen giggled.
"Sorry." She apologized.
Kayden awed at her.
"Don't be." He winked.
Again, Kathleen blushed so red.
"You're very smooth, Mr. Murdoch." She smirked.
"So I've been told." He spoke. "But I always say that treating a girl like a lady is very important."
"Awww!" Kathleen awed. "I think it's so important to treat girls and boys with respect. That is why I am so overprotective of my baby brothers when they start dating when they're at least 20." She adds.
"Awwwww!" They looked over at Kathleen's little brothers Kody, Kamron and Kyler looking over at them.
"Yeah, I'm not gonna let Kelan start dating when he's 20 as well." Kayden replied.
"Aw darn!" Kelan called out.
They chuckled at the boys who ran off to play with each other again, so while their brothers played, Kayden and Kathleen talked to each other the whole time.
