Anakin was not happy at this moment. Chancellor Palpatine had called him away to help him with an assassination attempt on him. He had had to leave his men with another general to lead them. Now here he is not hours later and he sees most of Torret whipped out.
He jumped out of his Awing to see Obi Wan and Ahsoka waiting for him. Rex stood right behind Ahsoka at a parade rest.
"What happened?" Anakin growled, stalking over to them.
"Krell happened, it would seem." Obi Wan gestured to the men around them. "I suggest we take this to a private area." They moved to where he and Ahsoka had talked earlier.
"Whats going on?!" Anakin growled again, "More than half of Torrent is dead and Ahsoka why are you here?"
"I got an emergency call from one of our men, master." She looked heart broken at this. "He was requesting help, I couldn't get all of what he said at the time. The connection was too low and it was breaking every couple of words, some I didn't get at all." She wrung her hands looking away, "I should have come down sooner, but the battle up there was rough."
"It's not your fault, lil'un" Rex placed a comforting hand on her shoulder.
"I know." Taking another breath, she met her master's eyes. "Master, it's bad. General Krell, he's a traitor!"
Anakin looked down right murderous hearing this, "Is that right?" His anger permeated the force around them. Obi Wan looked alarmed while Ahsoka and Rex both shivered.
"Now Anakin, we must remain calm at this time." Obi Wan looked at his former padawan before looking out at the men running around. "Losing yourself to your anger is not-"
"Not the Jedi kriffing way." Anakin growled but turned to face the men. They were loading the injured onto the LAATs he had brought with him. There were so many wounded, he had felt their pain on the way down. "Why my men though? We already lost most of 501st before, but this was too close again."
Rex winced remembering Teth and the bloodbath it became. Del, Attie, Nax, Coric, and Zeer are all surviving members of the original 501st Torrent company. Just remembering that mission almost brought tears to his eyes, they had lost so many that day. He felt a small hand wrap around his and squeeze, bringing him back to the present. Looking down it was his commander's hand and she was looking at him in worry. He squeezed back as a way to tell her he was ok, but he didn't let go.
"How bad?" Anakin finally asked Rex who stood straight. He didn't say anything when he saw his captain's hand holding Ahsoka's. He's always had that feeling and he was not about to become a hypocrite.
"100 dead, and 23 wounded." Rex kept his voice from breaking. He had been so close to losing everyone again. They started with 144 troopers and are walking away with 44 alive. Out of the 44 only 23 were wounded and 21 still able bodies.
"How bad are the wounded?" They all could tell Anakin didn't want to hear this, but he needed to.
"10 critical, sir. The rest are either walking wounded or had a limb cut off." He felt Ahsoka squeeze his hand again. "One of the 10 is in bad shape sir. He's going to be one of the ones rushed out of here with Coric and Kix."
"How bad?" Anakin turned to look at the injured being loaded up.
"Master?" Ahsoka stepped away from Rex and placed a hand on Anakin's shoulder. "The trooper was Dogma. He needs medical care right now."
"Dogma?" A surprised look took over his face. "How?"
With a shake of her head Ahsoka sighed, "I will show you instead, but master, please control yourself when you see." With a nod she placed a hand on his forehead and shared the memory.
Rage was suddenly blasted all over the air base. Clone troopers tripped over themselves on the onslaught but didn't let themselves falter for long.
"Master!"
"Anakin!"
"General!"
The three voices came over his rage. Placing the emotions away so as not to hurt his friends, he took a deep calming breath. "Where is Krell?"
"In the brig, sir." Nodding to Rex he turned to find Krell.
"Anakin, hold on." Obi Wan grabbed his arm, stopping him. "We must contact the council first."
"These are my men!" Anakin waved at the 501st still moving around helping each other to the ships. "He will pay for hurting them."
"Anakin," Obi Wan's voice turned hard, "We have to talk to the council. If you decide to kill Krell you or your men could pay." He sighed, "Doing this we will at least let them know and talk about what the verdict is." He looked out at the clones, "Till then we evacuated the injured first and the rest of the 501st."
They watch as trooper after trooper is helped onto the LAATs. Anakin focused on one particular trooper strapped down to a hover-stretcher. He could feel the pain radiating off of their unconscious form. He clenched his fist in anger. No one does this to his men and gets away with it.
They all watch as the first LAAT leaves to the Resolute. The injured vod will be helped as soon as possible when they dock.
"Master Obi Wan, Waxer wanted to see you before he left." Ahsoka pointed over to some of the 212th men helping their brothers to the next ship. Waxer was being helped by Boil who they could sense the rage and worry radiating off him.
"Ah, yes I should do that." He smiled before walking over to his men.
"Rex," The captain looked right at Anakin, "Tell me everything." His voice was clipped and clear.
"Yes sir!" Rex stood straighter and glanced down at Ahsoka who nodded. It took an hour for Rex to tell Anankin everything that had gone on while he was away. To say the Jedi knight was pissed was an understatement. Anakin Skywalker was furious. He left his men with another Jedi master who got many of his men killed.
"We're talking to the council now!" He growled out and looked at his old master who had returned to his side.
Obi Wan had a hard look on his face. Looking at Anakin he nodded his head, "I would have to agree there. With all this he will be removed from the council and possibly be executed for what he has done."
"I hope so." With that Anakin and Obi wan walked away to comm the council. Rex and Ahsoka went to help the rest of the men on to the LAATs, the 212th was evacuating too.
Sometime later they both hear themselves called. "Ahsoka, Rex!" They both turned to see who called them. They had been sitting down talking to Cody and filling him in on what happened. Anakin came stalking over his Jedi robe billowing out around him. Both Cody and Rex stood up quickly at attention.
"Ah, Cody there you are." Obi Wan was not far behind him. "Good, you're all together." His smile was clipped.
"Master?" Ahsoka stood up looking between Anakin and Obi Wan. "What do you need?"
"We need you three to come with us to go see Krell." He spit the name out like a curse. "He's being removed from the council effective immediately."
"So he's getting off lightly." Rex grumbled and Cody elbowed him hard. "Apologizes, sirs."
"No, Krell will be getting a public execution in the temple for what he's done." That made both clones smile. "He's going to be going back on the Negotiator just so he's kept away from the 501st."
Cody stood at attention, "We'll keep a close eye on him at all times, sir!" He saluted and smiled at Rex.
"Thank you, Cody." Anakin and Ahsoka salute back at the clone commander.
"Yes, well then. Let's get us all back to our ships. I'll send another squad down to help my men guarding his cell." Obi Wan turned to the two last LAATs waiting, "I'm sure Unduli and her padawan Barriss can finish the mission."
"Lets hope." With that Anakin started for his LAAT with Ahsoka tailing him. Rex gave Cody a nod before following his commanding officers. Once they were all on, Anakin called up the pilot. "Let's go Hawks!"
"Roger that General!" The blaster doors closed quickly and the ship rose off the ground. It would be a long trip back to Coruscant that none were looking forward to.

Dogma groaned as he came too in a small dim room to rhythmic beeping. From the smell alone it was a medical room. He grimaced and went to rub his eye when his arm was stopped by something. His heart started to race as he glanced down. His wrists were tied to the bars of the medical bed. IV's were stuck into the croc of his elbows.
He heard the beeping increasing and figured it was a heart monitor. Scared he tried to move his legs only to find he couldn't. He couldn't feel his legs at all.
Letting out a pained whimper, he was confused. Was he on his way to Kamino? No, the general and commander made sure that would never happen to their men. But, what if he was the exception? The other vod of the 501st didn't seem to like him. The only ones who paid him mind were Hardcase and Tup.
A lone tear trailed down his cheek. Hardcase was dead, an explosion that took out that supply ship. Tup, he remembered him telling his mind controlled body how disappointed he was with him. How he didn't want anything to do with him anymore after the execution fiasco. The only positive people in his life and he lost them both in one day.
It felt like a punch to the gut. The memories of his batchmates death and how Tup and him survived. They were the only ones who cared for him back on Kamino. He knew he was defective when he came out. The others liked to remind him about it all the time. He remembers all that had been said to and about him from when he first woke up to Umbara.
"Defective."
"A dogmatic clone, I have just the name for you. Dogma."
"Careful, Dogma over there will lecture your ear off with the Regs."
"Hope you don't catch the long-necks attention."
"Dogma, keep your head down."
"The specimen seems to be reacting bad to the new treatment."
"Hope you don't get shot."
"I'm disgusted with you! You'd follow orders to kill our brothers, I'm done with you."
"Aruetii."
He let out a pained sound pulling at his tied wrist. It was hard to ignore the memories in his mind, he wanted everything to stop, to go away. It was at this point someone placed their hand on his head. Dogma jumped and quickly turned to see Tup sitting there by his bed. He looked pained as he ran a thumb against the other temple.
"Shh, Dog'ika. Your alright, nothing is going to happen to you." Tup's voice was calm and quiet and had the effect he was going for. Dogma's heart rate calmed down after a few moments. "Your ok now brother."
Once Dogma was calmed down, Tup reached out and hit a button. He was told that if Dogma woke up to use the button to call Kix and he would come immediately. Rubbing his thumb against Dogma's temple seemed to lull the other into a trance.
Their batch leader used to do this when Dogma would be too stressed to sleep or had a bad headache. The headaches always came from the right side of his temple and none of them could figure out why. Looking back on that, he was just glad he remembered how this always calmed his vod'ika down.
The sound of the door opening made both of them jump. Kix came running in and looked at Dogma with worry. "He's awake?" He panted from his run.
Tup nodded and moved his chair away from the bed to give Kix more room to work. Kix checked the IV's in Dogma's elbows. They were still attached and didn't need to be reattached. Kix moved to the bindings keeping Dogma's wrist tied to the bar and Tup frowned.
Kix and Coric had explained why they needed to tie his wrist down.' It's in case he tries something while we are away from him. I read reports of this happening to some of the guard before. The reports said many of them took their lives after this trauma, I don't want to take any chances.' So it was recommended by Crys the guards medic to tie Dogma's arms to the medical bed.
Kix moved to the next IV that was connected to Dogma. Tup's eyes trailed it as it snaked under the blanket and disappeared under it. He knew what that IV was for as it was inserted into his spine. It temporarily paralyzed Dogma's lower body to keep him still while numbing the pain he was in. Lateral compression type 3 pelvis fracture was what Kix and Coric had said the break was, and it was a bad one at that.
Kix had finally scanned Dogma's pelvis to see what break they were dealing with. He and Coric had paled and started to whisper to each other before coming to a decision. This was not a break that can be healed with Bacta. Dogma would need multiple surgeries to get the bones straight and remove the bone fragments. Both had also talked about how this could affect the nervous system in his legs.
"Hold still Dogma." Kix inserted another needle into Dogma who winced. "This will knock you out for a bit longer."
"Ok." He just closed his eyes allowing the drug to take effect.
It didn't take long before Dogma fell back to sleep. "How bad is it, Kix?" Tup looked at the medic as he adjusted the IV's again. Coric and Kix had informed their general and commander about the injuries. Tup still wanted to know about his Vod'ika though. "Tell me the truth, please."
With a deep sigh Kix shook his head, "Not good, it's a lateral compression type 3 pelvis fracture. Basically, his pelvis is shattered is the easiest term to use. Three complete oblique displaced breaks on his right side with five linear fractures. Five comminuted with two oblique displaced breaks and three linear fractures to the left pelvic bone." He ran a hand over his tired face. "Dogma will be lucky to walk again if we can fix this."
Tup felt like he had just been doused with cold water. "You have to fix him!" Tup stood up and almost fell over on his bad leg.
"Careful!" Kix caught him and helped him back to his chair. "I told you that you can stay as long as you don't stand on your leg."
"Please, Kix. Please you have to fix my little brother, he's the last one." Tup's tears started to fall from his eyes as he gazed at Dogma. They had lost their other batchmates in a crash before their first battle. He was not going to lose his little brother like this. He made a promise to 9, that he would take care of their youngest if anything happened to them.
Closing his eyes Kix let out a sigh. It was hard on any brother to be the last of their batchmates. Fives nearly had a heart attack three times when Echo's tank would alert to his heart rate dropping. Even Kano stayed by Denal's side after that mission went sideways. He knew the fear they had as Jesse was his last batchmate too. Seeing Tup here breaking down, he knew Tup was already thinking the worst.
"Tup, calm down. Coric and I will do our best to help him. When we get back to Coruscant, General Skywalker is going to see if any of the temple healers are willing to help Dogma." He ran a hand through the other's hair, "General Obi Wan already helped fix the infection that had started inside Dogma. He will be alright."
"I can't lose him, I made a promise." Tup muttered, wiping his tears away. "9 made me promise."
Kix gripped his shoulder reassuringly, "You need to trust Dogma to pull through this. He's not alone and your promise is not going to break. I'm sure the healers will do everything they can for him." He moved to check Dogma's vitals again. "You just need to be here for him when he needs it." 'We all need to be here for him now.' Kix looked over the reading without seeing them. 'How many times did we orchestrate him from the group? How many times has one of us joked about him being transferred right in front of him? Kriff, how many times had we made fun of him, in front of him?'
"Don't do that Kix." Tup and Kix both jumped as Ahsoka walked into the room.
"Do what?" He moved away from the readings.
Ahsoka just raised her brow marking as she walked up to the bed. She ran a hand over Dogma's forehead with a sad smile. "Blame yourself. What's happened has happened, all we can do now is fix what's happened and move forward." She turned to look at both men. "The simplest gesture of kindness, can fix a galaxy with hope." When they both looked confused Ahsoka laughed, "It's a Jedi saying. You can fix your relationship with him if you give him kindness."
"We'll remember that, sir." Giving her a tired smile Kix turned to leave. "I will have one of the droids bring a bed in for Tup."
"Already had that done." With that Ahsoka pointed and two droids opened the door and brought in the extra bed. "Sleep well, Tup." She ran another finger across Dogma's temple, her eyes glowing a faint light blue, "Peace Dogma, no one will hurt you now." With that she followed Kix out of the room.
Tup moved to the bed and curled up on it. The blue glow from Dogma's readings was the only light now in the room. He hated how it made Dogma look washed out almost dead like. Shivering, he threw that thought out of his head. "He'll be alright. Nothing is going to happen." Closing his eyes he fell into a fitful sleep. His dreams are filled with Dogma's cries as the long necks take him away for whatever they wanted to do to him.

Ahsoka woke up warm and cozy. She purred, nuzzling her face closer to her warm pillow. It was the morning cycle and she didn't want to get out of the cot. With a sigh she separated from her pillow who turned out to be Rex.
Rex has been stressed and Ahsoka knew he needed someone looking after him. Glancing around most of Torrent was sound asleep still. With the grace of her hunter ancestors, she got quietly out of bed without disturbing Rex or the others.
Ahsoka walked down one of the many halls of the Resolute. 2 years on the ship and it suddenly became home to everyone on it. She could easily close her eyes and just walk to where she needs to go without ever opening them. Her goal right now was to get to hers and her masters room.
After about 15 minutes of walking she sensed his presence on the other side of a door. Putting the code in, she was greeted with Anakin slumped over asleep at his desk.
"That can't be good for his back." With a sigh she walked over and shook his shoulder. "Master, Skyguy. You have to wake up now." When she got no response she resorted to kicking his chair hard. Anakin fell off his desk knocking the small can of powder over and landing on him.
Anakin shot up quickly, "No, not the sand!" He looked around frantically as Ahsoka covered her mouth to hide her laugh. "Snips, why?"
"I-I can't!" She curled a bit up as her laughter grew. "You and your hatred for sand."
He ran a hand over his face, "I hate sand and it gets everywhere."
"It's not that bad." She sat on his bed smiling.
Anakin glared at her, "Says you."
"Yup, says me." With that he used the force to throw a pillow at her. "Hey!"
"Karma." He glanced down at the data pad he was reading earlier. "Kix sent me all the medical information on the injured." He handed her the pad to read. "Some of them are not good, but we can manage."
She frowned as she read. "All the bacta tanks are filled." Her eyes trailed over the report quickly, "Hardcase was transferred over here. Well, at least we have him, but 40% of his body was burned and they had to remove the melted armor." She grimaced, "Some of it was melted into his skin."
"Ouch." Anakin winced as he heard that. "I think Echo had it worse."
"Master, Echo had to have his one legs and his right arm removed, not to mention his back and chest were burned as well." Ahsoka frowned down at the pad looking troubled. "I remember having to cut his other leg off to get him out of the burning shuttle."
"I remember." He placed a calming hand on her shoulder. "At least Nulu didn't tell the other Kamonians about Echo. I thought for sure she would."
They both remembered Nulu Se, she was Nala Se's, once thought lost, younger sister. The fact that she got separated from her family and found a new one with a human doctor was what made her different. It was also her appearance that made her different. Nulu had black and grey skin with black and purple eyes. Nulu treated the men like any other living being instead of like property.
With a smile Ahsoka looked up, "Nulu was raised by humans and not those, uh, things. She could tell we were not going to give Echo up and that we cared." She got a thoughtful look on her face, "Sad, she keeps getting transferred from one medical station to the other."
"Snips, what are you thinking." Anakin gave her a scared look.
She hummed, "I am thinking we need another medic here. One that is like the rest of us." She waved her hand, "You know, misfits. This way we have a full time medic on the Resolute."
He ran a hand down his face, "Rex is going to kill us." He chuckled, "I'm sure Kix and Coric would be happy to have her on board. They hit it off the last time we stopped at a medical station."
"Want me to get started on those transfer requests then?" Ahsoka's eye turned back to the data pad to finish reading the report. "The faster we have her, the better for all of us."
"I'll have to speak to Rex and the men. They need a heads up since well," He waved his hand around. "The kamonians are not well liked by the troopers."
"But Nulu was." Her focus changed when it got to one of their men, "Dogma is going to need a lot of help. Master, are you sure that Master Che and Obi-Wan can help?"
Anakin got a determined look on his face, "If they can get him back up and walking, then yes. We only need him back on his legs again. Kix already informed me of his chances and what might not-" He trailed off with a tired sigh.
"I see." Ahsoka read over what could still affect Dogma later in life. "Coric suggested we give him certain pills to help him later on with recovery." Her finger flicked the page up as she read. "He also said that Dogma would need physical therapy like Echo, but he will be more focused on muscle recovery."
Anakin let a tired groan out, "If I could, I would kill Krell right now."
"That's not-" Ahsoka began before she was cut off.
"I know, it's not the Jedi way." He finished with a roll of his eyes.
She raised an eyebrow marking, "That's not what I was going to say, but ok." She flicked out of the report and opened another file. "We will need new troopers after our leave."
"Hey!" Anakin reached for his data pad, but Ahsoka quickly moved out of the way. "How are you getting into those files!?"
"Barriss taught me a couple tricks. Plus R7 gets me into a lot of restricted things if I ask him." She smirked as the files flick past on the datapad.
"He needs to stop hanging around R2. You'll need to talk to Rex about who you pick out before sending the requests." He sat back as Ahsoka looked through files of new troopers on Kamino. The job of getting new recruits had landed on Rex before Ahsoka came. Within the last year she and Rex had started to share the burden of picking troopers and squads out.
Ahsoka waved her hand at him, "Yeah, yeah. Share what I have with Rex I know." She paused and hummed, "Can we pick from the decommission and recondition list?"
That got Anakin's attention. "What do you mean, some of those troopers are on those lists for a reason."
Putting the pad down Ahsoka turned her eyes on him. "Can it be done?" Her eyes bore into his and he relented.
"Yes, but you have to have a good reason to want them in the battalion."
She nodded in thought, "I'll talk about this with Rex then later."
"You do that." They went into comfortable silence as they went to work on what needed to be done. "We'll be arriving at Coursant soon." He looked over at his padawan lounging on his bed. "Everything will be fine."

"Dogma!" Tup shot up in his bed looking around the med room. The rhythmic beeping and faint glow calmed him down. Throwing his blanket off of the bed he got up carefully and walked over to the other bed.
Dogma was still blissfully asleep and unaware of the turmoil going on with his brother. With a sigh Tup sat down in his chair next to the bed.
"I'm sorry, vod'ika, I'm so sorry." Tup ran a hand down his face with a heavy sigh. "If 9 was here he would have smacked me one for how I've acted, right?" He chuckled looking at his unconscious brother. "You know I had that same nightmare I had when the Kamonians took you away for three days. You had all of us panicked and worried." His eyes glazed over a bit as the memory came. "When you came back you didn't want to be touched and flinched away from us. I remember you crying in the middle of the night on odd days. 9 use to climb down and climb into your pod and just hold you."
Brushing his hair behind his ear, Tup smiled. "I think that was one of the first times you let one of us touch you after that incident."
The door opened making Tup jump. Coric walked into the room glancing at Tup with a nod. "I heard everything, so don't ask."
"You did?" Tup glanced nervously at the older vod. "Please don't repeat anything, Coric."
Coric just nodded and looked down at Dogma, "He was taken for experimentation by the Kamonians?"
"Yes." Tup sat back in his chair, "They were taking others at random. We didn't think they would take one of us though."
"That explains why he acts the way he does." Coric hit a couple buttons on Dogma's medical pad. "He suffered from anxiety, does he not?"
Tup looked offended on his brother's behalf before he thought over the question. "Anxiety, sir?"
Coric paused and turned to Tup in surprise. "Yes, Dogma has anxiety from what Kix and I have seen." When Tup still didn't understand Coric sighed, "It's an abnormal and overwhelming sense of apprehension and fear. It's often marked by physical signs like tension, accelerated heart rate, sweating, shaking, and more."
"Oh." Tup looked away whispering under his breath, "That's what it was." He sat back with a pained look on his face, "Dogma has these fits every once in a while. He starts to breathe heavy and shake. 9 used to hold him and whisper to him. Other times he would grab a blanket and sit in silence with him."
Coric nodded, "When did it start?"
"After the kaminoans took him for 3 days for an experiment." Tup looked pained. "We hoped he wouldn't be picked, you know he's slightly shorter than the rest of us. 9 made sure to make Dogma understand to keep his head down to attract less attention. It didn't work." His fist clenched, "They still took him away and when he came back he wasn't himself. He was more shaky and would sit in a corner trying to get away from," He made a confused face as he thought, "I think he was trying to get away from the loud sounds around us."
"Do you know what the experiment was?" He got a data pad out and was writing something down. Glancing up he was met with Tups questionable look. "This might help us later for his recovery. He never got the right one with his anxiety, so we can work on that while he recovers physically from this attack."
"He talked to 9 about it. Though 9 did tell us." Tup glared at the wall across from him. "They would take him into this room filled with other tanks. Force a tube down his throat and cover his eyes so he couldn't see. He was then placed into the tank and left there for days." His fingers twitched. "He couldn't hear anything, couldn't smell anything, and he couldn't see." His eyes closed as he imagined his younger brother inside of the tank unable to move, see, or scream. "After they took him out they would then inject something into him and he described it as his skin feeling like it was vibrating. His senses that had been lost in the tank would come back ten fold and it was too much. They kept this up at random until we got our orders. There were days where he wouldn't be returned to our squad for up to a week. But he always came back so we didn't worry as much as 9 did." His head hung as tears slid down his face, "Am I really that bad of a brother that I didn't see the signs?"
Coric was by his side quickly. "No, Tup you didn't know what anxiety was till now. If it's anyone's fault for not noticing it was mine and Kix. We are medics and we never even tried to help him with it."
"What did they even do to him in that tank?" Tup leaned into the other's touch.
"Sensory deprivation." Tup again looked at him for clarification, "It's when someone is deprived of stimuli such as sound and sight for an extended period of time. I would include touch as well to this since they had him in a tank filled with still liquid. If I'm right about that tube as well, he wasn't even breathing on his own during those experiments. Do you know what they injected into him after they took him out?"
"No, as I said before, he could only tell us his skin feeling like it was vibrating. Especially if someone touched him and the sound would be too loud." He felt Coric run a hand through his hair. "There was this one time though, he got kicked by one of the trainers and cried. He said it felt like the trainor tried to break his ribs, but it wasn't that bad of a kick."
"Kriffing hell." Coric's eyes widened at that. "They were using an experimental drug." He got up and paced. "That drug was used on prisoners to make their nervous system hyper. Pain receptors would turn on and fire at a rapid pace. A small pat to you would feel like someone punching him." His tone became dark as he finished explaining, "We need to get a blood sample from him. Kriff, that'll take a while."
"Why?" Tup watched the older clone pace.
"He lost a lot of blood. Kix and I noticed how pale he got while we were waiting for the general. Dogma was bleeding inside his own body." He glared over at the medical pad. "He's still in a dangerous point, but at least he's getting better."
"If you need blood why not ask one of us?" It was a good question. They all had the same blood type.
Coric shook his head, "We thought about that and his immune system is not great at the moment. The blood transfusion could cause another infection. His body might not be able to fight this one off." He hummed as he thought about how it could have happened. "His immune system must not have recovered after the pneumonia that went through the unit.
Tup winced remembering how sick Dogma and a couple others got after a campaign to one of the ice worlds. Even Captain Rex was sick for a week. He remembers Dogma was one of the ones taking longer to recover from the virus.
A pained groan caught their attention. Dogma opened his eyes and looked around the room landing on Tup and Coric. His fingers twitched as he tried to move his arms. A frown graced his lips as he glanced down at the wrapping tying them to the rails.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Coric came up to the other side of Dogma.
"Tired."
Corice nodded at that. "Yeah the drug Kix gave you is probably still in your system."
Dogma's brows frowned, "Why can't I move my legs?"
This caused the other two people in the room to flinch. "You remember what happened on Umbara?" That got Coric a wince and scared whimper from the younger. "Hey, calm, you're ok." The heart monitor started to pick up as Dogma's panic started up again.
"Dog'ika, you're safe." Tup reached, brushing his hand against the side of his brother's head. "You're safe."
Dogma shook his head, no he wasn't safe. No one was safe if he was here. Without any shields Krell could take him over and have him do anything he wanted him to do. "Not safe. Krell he can-"
"Dogma, you're safe. He's on the Negotiator, away from you and the rest of the 501st." Tup met his eyes, "He can't get in your head now."
That brought tears to his eyes. The general can't force his way into his mind. He can't claw and rip Dogma's mind apart and torture him anymore. It was a relief to know this. No more sudden attacks on his mind or when the general wanted answers to something confidential.
"Hey, hey." Tup reached out and wiped the tear that had escaped his right eye. "We have you now."
"Everyone else? Fives, and Jesse?" Dogma let a relieved breath out when Tup smiled.
"Everyone is ok. The commander and Rex had it taken care of when she got there." Tup the frowned, a hurt expression came over his face. "Why didn't you tell me what you were going to do? I could have helped or atleast-"
Dogma shook his head, "No, couldn't risk it." His fingers flexed at the thought of Tup being the one Krell got. "It's against regulation for a trooper to call for backup," He saw Tup open his mouth, "But I couldn't let anyone else get in trouble. The captain and Fives were already in trouble with Krell." He swallowed, "Figured he wouldn't notice one person wander off."
"Except he did." Coric crossed his arms looking at Dogma with calculating eyes. "He noticed you disappear and went after you. What he did after," A disgusted look came over his face. "I think he planned to dispose of you or just make you a puppet." Coric noticed Dogma wince at that. "Sorry, but I think that is what he was planning at the beginning."
Dogma was quiet for a while before he looked right back at Coric, "How bad?"
It took the other two by surprise. They didn't think Dogma would want to know about his condition just yet.
Coric decided he couldn't hide what was wrong from Dogma much longer, "Your condition is not good, it's a lateral compression type 3 pelvis fracture. Basically, your pelvis is shattered is the easiest term to use. Three complete oblique displaced breaks on your right side with five linear fractures. Five comminuted with two oblique displaced breaks and three linear fractures to the left pelvis bone. I won't lie, this is a lot of damage and we need to check the nerves there for damage. If there is any damage your chances of walking normally or again will rise." He watched as the younger paled at this.
"He broke my left hip first then," Dogma closed his eyes, remembering the pain as his bones broke under the other's strength, "Then he just squeezed more and I felt the left break more and then my right one did." He took a shaky breath, "Am I going to be sent back to Kamino?" The two older clones were shocked, "If I can't walk or if I can't walk right, I'm not going to be useful as a trooper. I can't help on campaigns."
"Dogma," Coric's commanding voice broke Dogma out of his pre panic attack, "You are a good intelligence officer and scout. We will not be sending you to Kamino."
"But-"
"Brother," Tup got his attention this time, "I can't lose you too." Tears started to gather into Tup's eye, "When I pulled myself out of that wreckage, 9 and you were already out. 9 had dragged you both out of that burning ship. You both were barely breathing. I thought you were going to die right there." Tup wiped the tears away he remembered that day, the horrible day where almost all his brothers were ripped from him.

The LAAT That their squad got placed on was filled with other troopers. It was a miracle that all five of them (shiny's) were picked for this battalion. The 501 was known as one of the best battalions to serve under. They had a strong general, a caring commander, and a loyal captain.
"9, what do you think will happen in this campaign?" Gunner, 9's second, asked just as excited as the rest of their squad.
9 just shrugged, "Who knows, I think it's still surprising that the captain would want some 'Speedy's' in the 501st." He glanced beside him and clamped a hand on a twitching shoulder, "Dogma, calm down and breathe. We will be fine, always together, remember?"
Dogma nodded his head. It was a promise they all made with each other. After watching a fellow cadet be taken away and he never came back. They made this packed, a promise to always be together as a group.
"How many tinnies do you think I can shoot?" Gunner placed his arm around 78's shoulder.
"Bet I can still get more than you!" 78 shoved him gently.
"Enough, the two of you." Tup popped his head over 78's shoulder. "And I can tell I'll be the one to win that bet." You could hear the smile in his voice.
"Hey!" Gunner and 78 both shouted and turned to face him. They turned their debate into a private comm as they continued on.
9 shook his head in exasperation, "I swear, there are times I think they are really only 5 instead of 9" He turned to look out his visor at Dogma. "SO glad we left those days behind us."
Suddenly the LAAT shook violently. Troopers grabbed harder on to the handles and looked around. Another sudden jar and they heard the ship's panel screech.
"We've been hit!" The pilot's voice called over the speaker. "We're going down!"
Everyone was jarred again and the ship was hit by another blast. Up ahead of them a trooper was calling for everyone to 'brace for impact!'.
9 grabbed Dogma who failed to hang onto the handle above him after the last hit. He kept the other tucked against his chest as the LAAT fell from the sky. It screeched and smoked from the engines exploding after they were hit.
The ship impacted the ground with a thunderous crash. Breaking into pieces, those inside the ship didn't stand a chance. Those in the ship screamed in pain as they crashed. Pained screams that were the last they would ever let out.
Tup woke with a groan. His leg was pinned beneath something heavy. Turning to see what it was he almost screamed. It was 78's body. He had been impaled through the visor and was sprawled across Tup's leg.
"Kriff, 78. No, this was not supposed to happen." He reached out and pushed his brother's body off his leg and got up. 'Gunner, where is Gunner?' He looked around the debris from the ship.
He spotted Gunner underneath one of the blaster doors. He walked over and tried to frag him out only to discover that Gunner was dead. He had been cut in half by the blaster door. He ripped his helmet off and threw up what was in his stomach when he saw the insides of his brother trailing on the ground.
"Kriffing hell!" Tup cried and looked around the crash site again. The other troopers were scattered all around the site. He could tell they were all dead just by looking.
"Help. Please help." A weak voice called from the other side of the crash.
"Hang on!" Tup ran toward the voice. Dodging the bodies of brothers alike. "I'm coming!" He finally got to where the voice came from and stopped.
9 was laying on his side a large piece of debris impaling him threw the middle. Next to him unconscious wrapped in his arms was Dogma. Fire burned not too far from them and looking at Dogma again Tup could see his leg plastoid armor was burned and melted.
"9, Dogma!" Tup ran down toward them, "You're going to be ok." He looked over 9's wound. There was nothing he could do to help. All he could do was try to stop the bleeding and even then 9 would still die.
"Tup, thank the Manda you survived." 9's voice was weak as he smiled. Half his helmet was missing and Tup could see the blood coming from his mouth. "You need to promise me something Tup." He coughed and groaned, hand pressing against his wound.
"Anything." Tup nodded, placing his hand over 9's.
"Promise me to watch over our vod'ika. He needs someone to watch his back." 9's voice was becoming unsteady.
"I promise, but please try to hang on." Tup could feel the tears coming to his eyes. This was not how he wanted their first mission to end. "Please."
9 smiled and closed his eyes. "I wish I could, but Gunner and 78 are waiting for me." With that he chuckled painfully, "You'll join us when it's time, tell Dogma it wasn't his fault." He took one last breath, "Ret'urcye mhi" He sighed out as he fell limp.
"Udes Vod, rest brother." Tup bowed his head as he said a mando'a prier. He heard some boots coming quickly toward them. Grabbing his blaster Tup was willing to complete his promise to protect his last brother.
He saw a medic coming closer. He slumped to the ground looking dazed. He didn't know the medic but he let him come over to him and his brothers.
"Kriff, looks like you're the lucky one." The medic nodded to the crashed ship.
"No, my brother," Tup pointed at an unconscious Dogma, "He's still alive."
"Osik." The medic looked over at the younger clone. "Kix, get your kriffing shebs over here now!"
Another medic, Kix, came running over and slowed to take in the scene. When the one medic pointed over to Dogma he ran over to him. Kix started to check his injuries quickly as he took the other helmet off.
"Concussion, burns to the lower legs, possible broken bones." He muttered as he ran his hands over the younger clone. 'We need to get this one into a tank quickly."
"Hey," Fingers snapped in front of Tup's face, "Trooper, what's your name?"
"Tup and he's Dogma." The one medic winced at hearing his brother's name.
"Must not have been a name he picked." Was mumbled under the medics voice. "You're going into shock, I'm going to give you a sedative so don't fight it."
Tup felt the slight sting as a needle was pierced into his arm. He felt tired quickly and like the medic requested he didn't fight it. He let the darkness take over his numbed mind giving him some peace.
Days later Tup sat on a medical bed holding a crying Dogma as he was told the fate of their squad. He held him tighter to himself as he sent a prayer to the Manda and the force. He prayed that he and his brother would not die in this war.

Coric looked away from Tup in shame. If he had just made it there in time. If he and Kix had both been there, 9 would have survived and been here today. The memory of the younger clone holding Dogma as he died. The burns sustained on both bodies, and the fact that 9 had been impaled by debris. 9 had not survived long enough for a medic to get there in time to save him.
Dogma closed his eyes. He didn't remember the crashed ship. Kix had said it was because of him hitting his head. The burn scars on his legs were all that he had of that fateful day. He and Tup were the only ones to leave that wreckage alive. "I'm sorry."
"Just promise you won't do something stupid again." Tup smirked down at his brother.
"We're part of the 501st, I think it's an occupational hazard now." Coric had to hold back a snort at that. What Dogma said was true. Everyone in the 501st knew they were known for some of the stupidest strategies and troopers in the GAR.
"Hey!" Tup looked offended, "Don't mix the captain in with the rest of us!"
Both Coric and Dogma snorted, "I've heard about some of his plans. Don't get me wrong they worked, but some were very questionable."
Coric shook his head and left the two brothers alone. Kix would be by to give Dogma another dose of the sedative in a bit. The two would be fine for a couple of minutes.
The door opened and Coric smiled. Kix came walking into the med bay with Jesse following him.
"Kix, I need to speak to you." Coric motioned him over.
"This about Dogma?" Kix wandered over quickly. Coric noticed how Jesse stayed a couple feet away and pretended not to be listening to the conversation. He'd throw the other out if it wouldn't upset Kix. "Yes, we will be needing to change the nutrition's and vitamins in the iv's."
Kix nodded and pulled out a data pad. "Right, it's surprising how underweight he actually is." He flicked through a couple of files. "Does he need more pain meds?"
Coric clicked his tongue in thought, "Jesse, what are you thinking?" The other clone quickly turned to him with a faint blush at being caught listening.
"I, uh, I think we might need to take a look at the other intelligence officers, sir." He rubbed the back of his neck, "If Dogma's underweight the others might be too."
Both medics nodded. "Then see to it that all intelligence officers report down to medical for a quick physical." Coric turned back to Kix, "I'll go check on our brothers in the tanks. They should be healing fine, but you can never be too sure."
With that Coric turned away from the other two and walked into the tank room. There all of their tanks had been filled with the brothers that needed the most help. Three vod were missing limbs and had various wounds. Others had been slammed into the Umbarian plant life breaking bones and impaling a couple more. One lucky one was impaled by Krell's saber through the chest. They were all doing well in their healing.
Not far another couple of tanks held vod that got hit earlier in the battles by Umbarian blaster fire. A shiny was sitting next to a tank holding an older clone in it. The kid had been saved by the trooper and refused to leave his side since. He walked past, nodding at the kid who smiled tiredly back at him.
Coming to a stop in front of one tank he smiled. Their most insane brother was healing quickly. The burns he sustained were going to scar him for life, but he was alive. He moved a bit inside the tank before opening his eyes. They wondered around the tank room before landing on Coric.
"Your alive vod'ika, you'll be let out before we get back to Coruscant in a couple days." He placed his hand on the glass of the tank. "Just a little longer." He watched as his younger brother slowly placed his hand against his on the glass of the tank. "Gar'morut'yc, Hardcase. You're safe."
