"Dr. Saltzman, who is Jenna?" Milton broke the silence.
"How did you get here?" Alaric turned to Jenna.
"I saw the light… Went… I don't remember further… Then I saw this young man." she pointed to Milton.
"Klaus killed you..."
"Yes… You know, I'm hungry."
"Milton, get some blood."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Milton."
Less than 5 seconds later, Milton handed the blood bag to the girl. Jenna drank the blood greedily.
"I feel much better. Am I still going to be here?" she looked at Alaric.
"Are you sure you can control yourself?"
"Yes, of course. Don't even worry," she said, waving her hand as if to confirm her words.
Alaric looked at Milton and said, "I'll go to her… I hope for your speed if anything happen."
"Are you sure you're willing to take that risk?"
"Yes. Close the door behind me."
Alaric went to the bars, opened them, and entered the cell. The girl watched without moving. Milton closed the grate. The girl went to the man and looked into his eyes. Her slender hand wrapped around a strong man's wrist, and she looked down at his hand.
"You're so warm," she smiled at the feeling.
Veins stood out in her eyes and she lunged at him. This small, fragile girl threw the huge Director to the floor, and he barely managed to grab her hands, keeping her at a distance from him. Milton was already there, pushing the girl away from Alaric and pulling the Director out of the cell.
Alaric was already on the other side of the bars, and the girl was reclining in the back of the cell.
"Forgive me, forgive me," she said, "I did not want..."
The man was about to turn and leave the room, but the girl spoke again.
"Wait… I found this in my pocket, " the girl went to the bars and held out her hand.
She was holding a small test tube with something glowing in it. Alaric stared at the bottle from a distance.
"Take… Look what it is… I won't do anything."
The man took a step toward the girl, reached out, and calmly took the test tube from her hands. The girl didn't try to attack.
"What's it?"
"I don't know, it was in my pocket when I got here."
The man twirled the test tube in the light.
"Can I borrow this?"
"Yes, of course."
"I'll go."
"Well. I'm sorry again."
The man nodded and went upstairs.
