Alaric went to his office. His phone rang.
"Alaric, hi."
"Hope, hi. Something strange happened here?"
"You already know?"
"You mean about Jenna?"
"Jenna?"
"Aren't you talking about her?"
"No. Yesterday morning, my father rose from the dead."
"What?"
"And Kai Parker."
"We're him..."
"Yes, yes, the dead evil guys have risen from the dead and seem to have become even more evil."
"Where are you?"
"I'm on the bus from New Orleans. Oh, I forgot to mention that Clarkе showed up and he's right next to me."
"Is he holding you?"
"No longer. It's okay, I'll be at school soon. Who were you talking about? Jenna?"
"There's been another resurrection."
"Who else is evil back?"
"She didn't seem angry before… This is Elena Gilbert's aunt. The boys found her in the woods this morning. She is still in our cell."
"Strangely… I called Caroline and told her about Klaus, but I didn't tell her about Kai. I think it's better for Josie and Lizzie to stay in Europe, at least for a while."
"Yes, I'll call her."
"All right, I'll be in school soon."
"Be careful with Clarke"
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
Alaric called Caroline.
"Hi."
"Hi. You know what happened here…"
"Yes, I know about Klaus…"
"If only he..."
"What are you talking about?"
"Kai Parker is back. I think the twins should stay in Europe, at least for a while."
"God. I thought at once that they shouldn't come back. I bought a ticket, and I'll be there tonight."
"That's not all. And Jenna's back."
"Who?"
"Elena's Aunt."
"Does Elena know about this?"
"No, I'll call her now."
"Okay, see you later. Call me if happened anything."
"Okay, bye."
"Bye."
Alaric sighed loudly and called Elena.
"Hi."
"Hi."
"How are you?"
"All right, except that Stefan showed up last night.'
"Another one."
"What are you talking about?"
"Here's the thing. That's why I'm calling you."
"Alaric, you're scaring me, what happened?
"Klaus Mikaelson and Kai Parker is back… But the good news is that Jenna is back too."
"Who?"
"Your aunt, Elena."
He could hear the happy smile on the other end of the phone.
"Where is she? How is she?"
"On the whole, she's doing as well as a vampire can."
"Is she still a vampire?"
"Yes."
"I'll drive to school after the operation."
"All right, but be careful, Elena. Call me if you need anything."
"Well, thank you for the good news."
"Bye."
Alaric put the smartphone down on the table and looked at the test tube Jenna had given him.
