Chapter 4
8:21 A.M., October 24th, 2023, Osaka, Japan
The day started off as normal. People were driving on the streets, either to pick up their child from school, going to buy groceries, to meet friends, family members, or to hang out with friends. Some were walking on the sidewalks, just to get the fresh air, go to the park with wife and kids, or take their dog for a walk. Others stayed home by themselves, with friends, with wife, with kids, or to relax. Everything was normal, everything was perfect, and everything was going the same way it is supposed to go.
Until . . . a large shadow loomed over the city, followed by gigantic clouds - thunderbolts raged inside. At first, no one seemed to care, thinking that it was only regular clouds coming to bring rain. But soon people began to worry when a woman pointed to the sky and screamed. Everyone looked up, and panicked once they saw a large silhouette of a hydra in the clouds. They all turned and ran as soon as a roar was heard, followed by a strong surge of wind, shattering the glass in all the buildings, almost knocking them down. The glass crashed down onto the ground, and onto people. Trash in the streets blew, and dust fogged everyone's vision.
The more vengeful the creature in the sky was, the more violent the storm became, and lightning struck down on the city, along with rain, destroying buildings and vehicles, increasing the terror of everyone that tried to save themselves, tried to run from the threat, tried not to slip and fall on the blood of the bodies around them.
The figure flew down at a very fast pace, and landed on two skyscrapers, knocking them down, taking many lives during the impact. The creature stayed in place for a moment, and only a little before raising their heads to the sky, and letting out a roar of return, the lightning in the storm striking at the same time, as if it was commanded to.
Everyone screamed and ran faster. Thoughts raced through their minds: What do we do? Where do we go? How are they back? King Ghidorah looked down at all the humans, running throughout the streets like ants, little dots on the ground that they could easily kill in less than a second. The three brothers took a deep breath, lightning building up in their throats, and the thunder behind them becoming more intense. They looked down, releasing electricity from their mouths down on the city below. The lightning scattered on the roads, spreading for about five blocks, striking everyone that was nearby.
Ghidorah turned to a large building, snarled, and charged, running their side into the structure, shattering the glass, knocking it down. Dust blew, other buildings fell, and people were killed when it happened, then Monster Zero turned to another building on their left. They took another deep breath, and blasted thunder, and it swarmed around the skyscraper, then down into the pipes and currents below, shocking the entire block, and killing everyone in the area. Then the building exploded, destroying ground, and structure around it, then falling down, causing a much bigger explosion that led to the kings roaring in satisfaction.
They suddenly heard a faint buzzing sound, and looked up. At least fifty fighter planes and tanks were charging towards the brothers, and firing at them. The missiles hit, forcing them to take a step back, also leaving more cuts and bruises around their body, but that only did little to stop them, and make their anger rise. When the planes banked and went straight for the target, King Ghidorah shot thunder at them, and just like an electrical current, the lightning hit the next aircraft, then the other, and then another as the rest tried to fall back, but only a small amount survived. Tanks fired ruthlessly and without hesitation. The brothers raised one foot and brought it down hard, causing an earthquake that shook the tanks, and skyscrapers, causing some to fall, blowing dust and vehicles throughout the city.
The remaining fighter pilots came swooping down, along with more planes that just came into the scene. The three looked at one another, and knew what they had to do next.
Ghidorah stood firmly on the ground, and focused, lowering their heads and zoning out all distraction. Under their eye lids, a yellow glow showed, and the massive storm behind them seemed to grow worse and worse by the second. Even though the situation started to worsen, the pilots flew on, taking aim and putting their thumbs on the triggers. The kings stood up, electricity crawling around their body, building in their throats and mouths . . . and opened their eyes. They seemed to be shining, and the storm boomed, the sound echoing for hundreds of miles, and King Ghidorah roared.
As if it was on command, the storm raged with thunder, and the bolts slammed on the ground, digging into the dirt, gliding through the sewers, pipes, and wires under Osaka. With one loud roar of terror, the ground exploded beneath them, shaking the entire city and the sky. One by one, the humans, and the pilots, in less than a minute, all died from the powerful electrical current.
Almost thirty minutes had passed after the eruption. Everything was quiet. The storm was gone. No one was around . . . no one survived . . . and the city was in ruins.
All this carnage was only a test. Ghidorah wanted to see how much damage they could do after death - they had yet to unlock their true power.
It is done.
Where will we go now?
. . . Home, my brothers. . . . Home. . . . They must know of our return.
With that, the kings left, leaving only destruction behind . . . .
