Chapter 14. Is this the men's room?
Elena looked at herself in the mirror, tired from the operation. She turned on the cold water tap and splashed it on her face. It was a pleasant fatigue, because the operation was successful. She turned off the water, picked up a paper napkin, and headed for the exit. Elena was wiping her face as she opened the bathroom door and bumped into Stefan on the way out. He smiled at her.
"Is this the men's room?"
"No, this is a common room for all the staff. What are you doing here?" she looked up at him.
Then someone called to Elena for Stefan.
"Mrs. Gilbert," Elena stepping around Stefan and saw a woman, "we wanted to thank you for everything you've done."
"It's my job, Mrs. Sevcovic." said Elena.
"And this is your boyfriend?" she looked at the man behind Elena, "you take care of Elena, she is such a wonderful girl."
"Certainly!" smiled Stefan, "but now we need to go." he took Elena by the hand and led her away.
"Where are we going?" she yanked her hand away.
The man took the girl's hand again, but this time more firmly and dragged her along with him.
They left the hospital.
As they turned onto the sidewalk along the highway together, they both saw Damon coming to meet them.
