"I am proud to announce I have studied every single piece of information you gave me about the Bird Seal and used all the knowledge I had to come up with a strategy!" I announced proudly to Hiashi-san. He nodded. "From what I know about the Hyuuga clan, I doubt I could leave the Branch members without anything to seal their Byakugan for a long period of time, so I will first work to remove the seal and then place the new one directly, unless I notice there needs to be a small time of rest."

"And how will you remove the Bird Seal?"

"That's the most difficult due to the way it works and what I will focus on. I will require the services of medics, especially Hyuuga ones so that they can use their Byakugan to help. I'd like to ask help from Hinata as well."

"Me?" she said in surprise. She was there, as well as Neji and Hanabi. Hiashi wanted to reunite the Hyuugas and as such, have the future generation involve as much as possible as well to avoid the mistakes of the past. "But...but why..."

"Now don't be modest Hinata, I remember teaching you how to use your Byakugan to deactivate seals, right?" I grinned at her. "It will be more complicated, but you've improved as well, didn't you?" She blushed at the compliment. "Then, the seal I think I have completed is a variation of my Pupil Seal so I already had the basics, I just needed to make some adjustment. However, this is theory."

"You would need to test these seals before applying them to the whole clan," Neji voiced out loud. I nodded.

"I can...how can I put it...Seal Masters can reproduce the characteristics of what the seal will be applied on. However, living beings are all different and one may have a different reaction than someone else. As Neji said, I'd need to test my seals but...on someone in order to check any potential reaction to them. That being said, the Branch members already have a seal slowly killing their brain so they would require more attention."

"I volunteer." We all looked at Neji and I frowned.

"Neji, testing phases can have issues and leave permanent damage," Hiashi-san reminded his nephew sternly. Neji looked back at him.

"I know Hiashi-sama, however as a Branch member I would like to volunteer. This will send the Hyuuga clan into a new era and I would like to be on the first row. Please." Hiashi and Neji had a brief staring contest but Hiashi sighed.

"Very well."

"Father, I as well..."

"Nee-sama, you too!?" Hanabi shouted in shock. "But...but a seal that directly involves the Byakugan..."

"If something goes wrong, it could be the end of the Byakugan, or even your sight," I finished for her for the two teenagers. They all looked back at me. "Of course, I will write you consent papers with all of the possible side effects there could be, but keep in mind that this is permanent."

"Yes," Hinata and Neji replied in sync. I smiled softly at them.

"Alright then. Hiashi-san, without counting Neji and Hinata, I would need nine Branch members, going from the least related to the Main Family to the most related. The same goes for the Main Family."

"I will spread the word." I finished my tea and got up.

"On this note, have a good day."

"You as well." I nodded at all of them and left.

I sighed deeply once outside. Dealing with the Hyuugas was always stressful, especially with the risks that came with what I was asked to do.

"What the..." I cursed as I almost fell after tripping. I looked back and blinked at the smirking Hyuuga. "Kou! Do you hate me that much!?"

"Well, if you had tripped and killed yourself then I would have been disappointed." I hid my mouth with my hand, tears at the corners of my eyes. He realized too late that he tricked himself.

"So...so you hold me in such high regards? I didn't know!" He rolled his eyes and adopted a defensive position when I stepped forward. I sweat dropped. "Come on, it's not that serious Kou." He activated his Byakugan and I carefully stepped back, my hands in surrender. "I'm supposed to meet up with Temari to have a friendly spar anyway so if you'll excuse me..."

"The Kazekage's sister?" I nodded and his Byakugan was off. "Can I come as well?"

"Heh, why?"

"I want to see her wipe the ground with you." I twitched.

"Thanks." He walked next to me.

"Are you optimistic for you mission?"

"Hum...It's tough, but I'll succeed."

"You're damn right," Minato added in my mind.

What, you didn't think that with everything going on and would happen in the near future I could give all of my attention and time to the Hyuugas, right? Of course I had help.

And oji-chan didn't want to see me pull at my hair on the Hyuuga case like Aunty Kushina did before apparently.

"Morning you two..." I mumbled, still sleepy, the club heavy on my back.

"Good morning su!" Fū greeted me enthusiastically, while Naruto narrowed his eyes at me.

"Hi...what are you doing here nee-chan?" I sighed and pointed a finger at him.

"You lost control during your mission and wounded Sakura from what Tsunade-san told me." Guilt overtook his features and Fū shot him a glance. "Now, if you've never received proper training, things like that are to be expected, especially with your seal Naruto."

"My seal?"

"Remember I put the same one on someone else so I know how it works. It's weakening with time in order for you to learn to control Kyubi's chakra progressively. I was the one to oversee how Haku's seal was weakening so that he could work with Isobu just fine."

"How is it going by the way?" I raised a brow at Naruto.

"Well...better than you, that's for sure." His shoulders dropped. "But Isobu is easier to work with than the Kyubi you know, he's not an angry furry diva." Naruto deadpanned at me and Fū took her chin between her fingers.

"So Kyubi is a diva..." she repeated to herself. I took a sip from my flask of tea.

"The thing is, he also has more chakra than the rest of the bijuus, so it's harder to control. Good thing is, you're an Uzumaki, so you naturally have more chakra than a regular shinobi." I stared at the ground for a second. "Fū, what kind of training did you receive as a jinchuriki?"

"Huh...chakra and emotion training when it comes to being a jinchuriki. Then I've got jutsu thanks to Chomei, and strong affinities." I nodded. Her wings appeared and she took off, Naruto gaping at her.

"Partial transformation, nice. Can you also enter Version Two without losing control?" She nodded and went back on the ground.

"Of course! Chomei takes control rarely after all!"

"I se..."

"Oi Kyubi, what's your goddamn name!?" Naruto yelled, staring at his stomach. I blinked at him.

"Naru?" He looked up, looking borderline depressed.

"I can't even see him when I want to nee-chan! I...I..." I furrowed my brows.

"Like I told you, your seal is stronger than the rest of the jinchurikis', Haku being the exception. Kyubi is a stubborn one as well and with his backstory, I doubt he wants to fight alongside you or any human you know."

"Backstory?" I raised a brow.

"Hey, have you ever thought about asking him what happened the night you were born?" He widened his eyes and shook his head. "Well then, I could tell you but I feel like it would only hinder your relationship with your partner." He blinked. "That's what I told Haku before I turned him into a jinchuriki, that Isobu and him would be partners, not jailer and prisoner. It's how every jinchuriki should think of their condition I think, after all if both parties get along and don't want to use the other for personal means, it can create a powerful duo. That's why usually, jinchuriki are trained from the moment they become one. So far, only two managed to be 'perfect jinchuriki'. They're Killer B, the Raikage's younger brother and partner to Hachibi, and the Fourth Mizukage Karatachi Yagura, that you met Naruto." He frowned. "For having been trained by Yagura, I know the potential there is. He could switch to any version, to full beast mode and then go back to his usual self in the blink of an eye and use each ability Isobu has, including the bijuu bomb."

"Bijuu bomb?" I sighed. There was so much he didn't know.

"Your Rasengan, the Fourth Hokage invented it after seeing the Bijuu Bomb."

"What are we going to do then Akane-san?"

"Chakra control. Well, control training. The Uzumaki clan was known for their vitality and large chakra reserves. Funny enough, we were awesome at fuinjutsu, an art that requires extremely precise chakra control. Chakra control required for medical ninjutsu is pretty much the same as the control required for some seals in peculiar discipline. For instance, while I trained Sasuke in Fuinjutsu, when it comes to doing it, Sakura would have an easier time than him because her chakra control is excellent. You've seen what her punch can do today, right Naru?" He paled and nodded quickly. "Anyway, because of that, the Uzumaki clan came up with various chakra control training to train kids of the clan. I think you both know that the larger your reserves are, the harder it is to have a precise control, right? Well, lucky you, Mom trained me since I could walk in chakra control and having a kekkai genkai only increased my control, so you're gonna improve a lot. I hope. You'll need it against the Akatsuki, you both faced them before, you know they're not to be taken lightly." They both nodded in determination.

I grinned and turned to Naruto.

"But first, Naruto, you're gonna fight me." He widened his eyes.

"Heh? I'm gonna fight you nee-chan?" I nodded.

"Chomei already acknowledged Fū as their partner, but Kyubi didn't acknowledge you. The Fourth Hokage entrusted you with this power, and I want to see with my own eyes if Uzumaki Naruto, shinobi of the Hidden Leaf, is worthy of this power." He frowned, now serious. "Before you can train as the jinchuriki you are, show me the shinobi you are Naruto." I grabbed my club and pointed it at him. "Fū, please watch. I want yours and Chomei's observations after."

"Got it!" she exclaimed, flying in a tree.

"Now come at me with all you got," I told Naruto.

"I hope you're ready to lose nee-chan!" I grinned back at him as he made a familiar hand sign. "Shadow Clone Jutsu!" An army of Narutos surrounded me.

Let's begin.

They attacked me, kunai in hand and I started kicking them without holding back, popping them one by one, fending them off with my club before getting several of them in the big hook and sending them into another group of clones.

I grabbed a clone's shoulder and leaned on it to balance myself above him. A clone grabbed my wrist and threw in the air as other clones were coming my way, but with my club I blocked them. With my free hand, I made signs.

"Hey that's Haku's..." a clone started.

"Fuuton: High Wind Technique!" Strong winds left my sides to crash in the grounds, the popped clones creating a cloud of white smoke.

I barely landed that I cursed and crouched to avoid Naruto's rasengan. I jumped out of the smoke, only for the smoke to be blown away by a familiar, powerful technique.

"Fuuton: High Wind Technique!" I smirked, my two sharp teeth grazing my lip.

"Hyoton: Blizzard Breath!" My blizzard beat his wind and the few clones left were dispelled.

"It's freezing!" Naruto complained. Fresh snow now covered the ground.

I ran at him but he made another clone who stopped my club. He stepped around said clone and kicked my wrist. I jumped away, leaving my club to them. He sealed it in a scroll.

Now that was development.

"Alright, you little thief." He grinned mischievously at me. I jumped on the pound behind me but Naruto was coming at me from the air with a giant Rasengan. "Suiton: Water Mirror Technique!" A water mirror appeared and I lowered it, a replica of Naruto and his rasengan appearing. I then froze the water under my feet and put an explosive seal underneath it. When it exploded, it sent me in the air as the two rasengan collided.

"Katon: Flame Bullet!" I widened my eyes at the new voice. I looked down and saw a toad the size of Naruto spitting fire at me.

"Fuuton: Wind Sphere!" I blinked when Naruto had a powerful wind spiraling in his hand and threw it toward me. The sphere mixed with the fire and turned into a huge fireball, easily twice as big as Sasuke's fireball jutsu.

From the heat, I knew I would struggle against it.

"Hyoton: Freezing Technique – Ice Wall!" A giant ice wall appeared in front of me and stopped the combination jutsu, although I could feel the ice struggling. I blinked when I noticed a shadow behind the ice.

"Giant Rasengan!" With the strength of any jutsu coming from Naruto, I wasn't really surprised that the wall broke and I had a rasengan coming my way.

I grabbed a sealing scroll and opened it, barely having the time to activate the seal in order to seal the rasengan. Naruto widening his eyes as he saw his jutsu disappearing. He kicked me to move away and I threw a marked kunai at him. He dodged it and it was all I needed to teleport to it once behind my cousin. I placed my hand on his back.

"Immobility Seal."

"Oh come on!" he whined as we started to crash in the pound. I threw another kunai in the ground and teleported us here. "I completely forgot about that!"

"You should never forget an opponent's techniques Naru." I got off his back. "I win?"

"Yes..." he grumbled grudgingly. I giggled and unsealed him. He jumped on his feet, covered in dirt and sweat but with wide, sparkling eyes on me. "Next time I'm winning though!"

"Sure," I said with a grin.

"Why didn't you use that...that technique before?"

"Well, I wanted to see how you've improved, not beat you immediately. You got me thinking Jiraya-san didn't do much at first." He grinned.

"Yeah I know!"

"And it's called the Hiraishin. Remember it as, much like the Rasengan, it was the Fourth's signature move."

"Huh...it's a cool move," he admitted, sitting down. "So, how did I do?"

"You pass by my standards, you learned to use what you had at your disposal now, and you used that stamina of yours to not let me breath for a second. If I wasn't me, you would beat your enemy by exhaustion." He grinned and rubbed the back of his head sheepishly.

I sat down in front of him.

"Now, as I said before your seal is made to weaken over time. Because of that, Kyubi will have an easier time to take control. You can't let him do that."

"How do I do that? I don't want to hurt people like I hurt Sakura-san."

"You need to be in sync with your seal, and it's accomplished through meditation mainly." He rolled his eyes. "I know you hate that, but you don't really have a choice. Then, in order to improve as a jinchuriki, you'll need to learn how to use Kyubi's chakra without it overtaking you completely. It's like a tug of war. You're the one borrowing some of his power, you can't let him drown you in it." Fū jumped behind me and I looked at her above my shoulder. "What did you two think?"

"Naruto's a strong shinobi!" Fū complimented my cousin, who rubbed the back of his head sheepishly. "Chomei said that as well, but that he needed to always be careful not to let his emotions take over or Kyubi will take control."

"Got it."

"By the way, what was that jutsu you used with Gamakichi?"

"Hum? Oh that." He did it once more before it vanished. "Pervy Sage said I should try to mix the Rasengan with my Wind affinity but I couldn't do it so he told me to try to shape wind chakra like the rasengan and it's the only thing I managed to do for now. It's so complicated!"

"Shadow Clones." I looked behind Naruto to see Kakashi, Icha Icha in his hand. "It could help."

"How so?"

"I see," I said at the same time as Naruto. "I made Sasuke do that on the road."

"What's the thing with shadow clones?" Naruto asked us, lost.

When we were eating ramen later that day, he was half in awe of what the shadow clones could do, half sulking because he never realized it before.

"Do you know how many times I used shadow clones nee-chan?" I shook my head. "Well me neither and I never realized it!" I ran my hand in his back. "Not even once nee-chan!"

"I know Naru, I know."

"But you know now, it's all that matters!" Fū exclaimed, her second bowl of ramen in her hands. "Thank you sir!"

"Kakashi's method might work just fine for you because of the amount of clone you can make. Have you tried slicing a leaf before?"

"Yeah, I managed but after a long time."

"Well we'll divide your training between Kakashi and I, okay? And if you want advice about wind chakra in particular, you've got me, Temari or Asuma who are used to it in the village." He raised his head high.

"I'm used to wind chakra as well dattebayo!"

"It's still pretty hard to use though," a new voice commented behind us. Naruto and I turned around and widened our eyes at the grinning Shisui standing there. He raised his hand to us as a greeting. "Yo!"

"Shisui-nii!" Naruto greeted him, standing up and hug him. Shisui laughed and hugged him back.

"Damn you've grown tall Naruto!" I swallowed my noodles and got up as well. "Hey Akane!"

"Shisui," I replied with a smile, embracing him. "Good to have you back."

"Well, I should be the one saying that really," he replied as he broke our embrace, showing the Konoha hitai-ate around my neck. "What's with the forehead protector and Kiri armband?"

"Nee-chan's in Konoha with us for a year and a half, like Sasuke was in Kiri!" Naruto informed him. "She's going on missions with us!"

"Kakashi and Sasuke really," I added.

"And listen to that, she's living with Itachi-nii now!" Shisui's smile became more strained.

"Really? How so?"

"He couldn't handle living at his parents' anymore, apparently Mikoto-san was way too motherly when he was sick," I answered. "And with Fū using my room, I needed a place to live. We're roommates, nothing more," I said, stressing the end of my sentence while glancing at Naruto. He mumbled something and I sighed. "When did you come back Shisui?"

"Just now, I was going to the Hokage but thought about stopping by here first to check if anyone was there. I wasn't mistaken." He ruffled my cousin's hair.

"Your mission's over then?" Shisui nodded.

"I'll go to the Hokage then I was hoping to catch up with Itachi. Do you know where he is?" I thought about it for a solid second.

"I'd say with Sasuke, probably on an Uchiha training ground." He nodded.

"Okay, thank you. Nice to see you again Fū. We should get something to eat later guys, I can't wait for you to meet my girlfriend!" We waved at his retreating back then Naruto turned wide eyes to me.

"Wait, girlfriend?" I shrugged and sat back down.

"From what he told me it seems serious too." Naruto fell on his seat.

"That can't be true..." Humph…

Someone was scared for their money of that stupid bet.

"So Sasuke is allowed to help you with the Hyuuga case?" Kakashi asked me as we were walking to Mom's, reading his book. I had to make sure he'd be on time.

Sadly, old Rokudaime Kakashi got me used to that.

"It was tough and I told Hiashi-san I'd make him a confidentiality seal anyway." I sighed. "Sasuke is really interested in Fuinjutsu whereas Naruto could be naturally good but except for explosive seal or how much ramen cups he can seal on a mission, he doesn't really care about it."

"He has you and Akiko-san for more complicated seals."

"But it's not the same! I mean, Mom has been collecting data and writing so much about Fuinjutsu since she became his guardian in case one day he'd get really interested but..."

"Your little brother doesn't want to play with you and you're sad about it?" he taunted me, pulling on my cheek.

"I have sharp teeth Kakashi, don't forget." And I bit off someone's finger before, don't forget.

Naruto was turning sixteen today. He was free to do what he wanted in the day but tonight, we were celebrating at home with his team, the Uchihas, Iruka-san, Shisui and Fū. Tsunade-san and Jiraya-san were invited as well, but one was not in the village apparently and the other had paperwork to do but would try to stop by.

Sadly, we were the last one to arrive.

"Kakashi-sensei, don't influence nee-chan!" Naruto greeted us with an accusing finger on Kakashi.

"Heh? I am the bad influence on her?" I ignored him, quietly removing my shoes and greeted Ganbaru.

"I've always thought you were an old creep anyway," Naruto muttered to his sensei with narrowed eyes.

"You've cooked for the whole village or what?" I asked Mom and Mikoto-san in the kitchen. Mom embraced me to greet me and Mikoto-san did the same.

"Mikoto came to help and we went a little crazy," Mom admitted with a sheepish grin.

"There are a lot of men and teenage boys, they will eat a lot, trust me on that," the Uchiha matriarch replied confidently. "By the way Akane-chan, how is Itachi..."

"Don't worry, the only training he does is the one I made him do." I opened a scroll and unsealed the item inside. "Naru, come over here."

"Yes?" I took the small dill sprout and handed it to him.

"And happy sixteenth birthday Naruto!" He grinned and took the plant with sparkling eyes.

Naruto loved watering plants when he started living with us, apparently doing it properly and seeing plants blossoming under his care reminded him that the mean villagers were wrong about him. As sad as it was, Mom loved gardening any kind of stuff and saw it as an opportunity to finally have someone to do it with.

Secretly, she was glad because Aunty Kushina never liked that and now she had Naruto doing it with her.

At first he didn't know anything about the plants except what it was. Then he learned how to properly take care of each one and once Sakura started dwelling on medical ninjutsu and poison, Team Seven established their own garden in Mom's backyard.

Seals were useful for plants struggling to grow in Konoha' climate.

"That's dill, we've got plenty of them in the Land of Water and it goes great with seafood."

"Thanks nee-chan, I didn't have that in my collection." Mom and him were very annoying on how their garden was organized too. You had Team Seven section, then cooking section, just decorative section…

Others must have been added since I left.

"I think I'll ask Dai and Karin if there's any plant that grows in Kiri for your Team section, Sakura could get a good use out of it."

The evening went smoothly. In spite of the whole village being gloomy and sad today because Kurama attacked the village sixteen years ago, it was also a celebration of Naruto's life.

The one thing bugging me was the apparent tension between Itachi and Shisui. When I brought some cake to Itachi, who was gazing at the stars outside, he refused to say anything about it, telling me that he would beat me in the next training session we would have because 'it is the only training I do so I have plenty of time to plan'.

Old Itachi wasn't free to be himself because of his mission but this one could be scheming and if you did something to him, he'd make you pay and you would never see it coming. As he didn't do it often, it was something to fear.

And he stole my slice of cake before going back inside.

As if stealing in my stash of sweets wasn't enough. As if telling me it was my fault for leaving them on display when they were not wasn't enough.

"Oh I'll get my revenge Uchiha..." I growled quietly in the cool October night.

The next day, I went to the cemetery with Mom and Naruto. We went to the memorial stone and then to Aunty's gave. Naruto sat down in front of it with a grin.

"Hey Mom, can you believe I'm sixteen now?"

In the back of my mind, I felt a wave of sadness wash over me.

Even if oji-chan was there, seeing what I was seeing, he couldn't interact with his own son.

I couldn't even imagine what it was like.

Hey! Thanks for reading and leave a review to tell me what you thought of this chapter! Thanks to garneauyoann and Raylis for the review! Does Obito care? Well, your review actually made me think about it and it made me avoid a plot hole I think, so thank you for that :).

Bye!
