Chapter 8
Fathers and Sons, Reunited, as Kings
Two days. Two days it took them to fly back to their home planet. They could never forget where it was, because it is where their only family thrived, and they were coming back to them. Their body was still covered in blood, red almost all over, but that did not matter. The only thing they cared was that they will find their fathers.
They saw their home ahead of them, right in front of their eyes, the Gidoran Kingdom, the Kingdom of Lamented Kings. It was a golden sand covered planet, a large sun many miles behind it, illuminating the kingdom, so all creatures from nearby worlds could see it.
King Ghidorah landed gracefully on the planet, instantly greeted with the warmth of the sun - feeling the sand of their home made them feel comfort. They stood up, and looked around. They saw no signs of life anywhere, only mountains in the distance. They had to find their fathers, they had to find the last of their family, flying here made their wings tired, so they ran.
Once they were over the mountains, they saw the castle ahead - the large mountains with dark clouds looming eternally over them. The Kings sprinted down the summits, and to the fortress.
They saw other life as they went by, other Ghidorahs, other Kings. They skulked, wandered, paying attention to themselves, until they saw the Fallen Star run by. Lost and presumed dead, never found for over thousands of years, a member of the royal family, thought to have been gone. Now returned, come back home.
King Ghidorah entered the mountain castle, and in the distance they saw another of their kind. They had blue and gold scales; all heads had six horns; four legs; gigantic wings; yellow teeth; large fins going from their heads, down their necks and across their back to the end of the twin tails; black eyes, and red pupils.
Zero, Azazel, and X's fathers were kneeling down, their wings spread out, and their sons ran towards them. Keizer Azriel, Michael, and Gabriel Ghidorah heard loud footsteps charging towards them, and they lifted their heads and turned around to see one of their citizens. No. It wasn't their citizens, not a resident, not only a part of the kingdom's history . . . it was their children. They stood up, staring at them. They couldn't believe what they were seeing. They thought their sons were dead, traveled to earth and never returned, never found, never seen for years. Now here they were, running towards them, and they ran to them as well.
A part of family, pieced together once again, a reunion to never be forgotten. They skidded to a stop in front of each other, looking one another dead in the eye. Fathers, and sons, bonds sewn again, Kings of All Stars, and the Fallen Star.
Fathers and sons stood on top of one of the mountains and looked out at the cosmos that emanated a beautiful purple and orange light, shining down on all the stars.
. . . What was mothers like?
. . . They were beautiful. The greatest beings we have ever known. They were strong, warriors of great power . . . but they never found their true potential. That didn't matter to us, they were perfect in our eyes. We fought together, ruled together, every moment we had was cherished. They told us the day before their . . . departure . . . the best moment they had ever had was holding you. They knew that you would be strong, great Kings, rule for years to come, fight alongside us . . . and maybe someone else. They never would doubt you, they never would give up on you, and they would be so proud to see you all grown . . . .
We thought we were not strong enough . . . .
. . . We have taught you the greatest ways to fight in a great battle. Vengeful wings, power of Heavens, elegance of family. Except, the true source of strength . . . is the bond you have as brothers.
. . . Are our friends . . . still here?
. . . Go and see them . . . .
