Chapter 10
Loneliness has plagued us for many years. But with you here . . . we can experience the comfort of friends once again.
Baron Zeus, Ares, and Hades Ghidorah
The sun gleamed on their scales as King Ghidorah walked away from the castle. They looked back for only a few seconds, then turned and continued walking. The memories of their past came back to them. The first year of their lives were long, uneventful, and miserable. Their heads were always lowered, eyes staring at the ground, never smiling, never happiness. Their fathers tried to comfort them, but they never felt better. They wanted their mothers, but knew they would never see them again.
They would constantly go to the burial site, and mourn, praying their mothers would return. They would wake up every morning, expecting to see the ones who breed their egg sitting next to them, to greet their sons for the morning. They would stay by their side, be one together. . . . But that time will never come.
When King Ghidorah was two and a half years old, they went to take a walk outside of the castle, and as they were approaching a hill, they saw someone. They were about the same age as the Kings, with yellow scales; white wings; brown horns; brown and white stripes across their body; and gray eyes.
King Ghidorah couldn't really remember how it started, but they became friends right then and there. They introduced themselves. King Zero, Azazel, and X Ghidorah. Baron Zeus, Ares, and Hades Ghidorah. They enjoyed life together, sharing it with each other, relishing the warmth of the sun, frolicking in the peace of childhood. By the end of the day, they were inseparable, and from then on they were always together, always friends. This was the first time Keizer Ghidorah had seen their sons happy, and would constantly see them hanging out with the Baron.
Through time, the King and the Baron became closer friends. At times they argued, they got in fights, but still were never apart. When Baron Ghidorah had to leave to rule their own kingdom, the Kings were devastated. For years they hadn't seen their old friends, the only ones that helped them to be happy when they thought everything was lost.
King Ghidorah walked towards a hill, and was deciding to rest there. But then something in the corner of their eyes caught their attention. They jerked their heads to the left, and saw them. They instantly ran over, and their eyes locked.
We thought you were gone for eternity.
We thought the same.
You have returned.
As allies.
. . . As friends.
