Chapter 13

The New Century

King Ghidorah walked through the castle going straight to their fathers. They were going to let them know that they were heading back to earth. They had met everyone they knew and cared for over the years: Gigan, Baron Ghidorah, and Queen Ghidorah. They were going to let their fathers know that they are going to begin the new age. The age of the extinction of the human race. The age where a dying planet will become strong, and thrive for millions of years. The age of kings that will rule over their people, who will gracefully serve their leader and fight alongside them.

They found their fathers, right where they were last. On top of the mountain, looking out at the stars, and nearby planets. The Kings walked up to them.

. . . Are you heading back to earth?

. . . Yes.

To build your kingdom?

. . . We will try.

Keizer Ghidorah stood motionless, but only for a short moment before turning around.

. . . Try?

We believe we could.

. . . What did I tell you about believing in yourselves? You don't. That is only giving into pride, you already know you can do it.

. . . What if we die?

. . . You won't . . . you never did.

King Ghidorah stared at their fathers for a long time, then slowly turned, and started to walk off.

Your mothers would be very proud.

. . . We'll make them happy.

The kings walked out of the castle. Upon exiting, they ran into Void Ghidorah; they looked back at them with utter sorrow. Every time the kings looked at them, they would always remember all the pain and sadness they felt when the Void's husbands died to their own daughters. To have a loved one betray their own family because they loved the enemy more. The betrayers deserved what they got, every last punishment will not go undone . . . they rot on the Hell Planet now.

Void Ghidorah took one last glance at the kings before entering the castle. Zero, Azazel, and X watched them go - those poor souls - then turned and walked off.

King Ghidorah walked past all the remaining Gidorans that lived here; some didn't bother looking up; some nodded to them as they walked by. They walked by one Gidoran, who did not look at them, but then they suddenly jumped in front of them. It was Baron Ghidorah.

. . . Where are you going?

. . . Back to earth, to finally build our kingdom, to show all beings that we are the leaders.

We want to come . . . but we have our own kingdom, beyond this solar system.

. . . Congratulations.

We made it in your names, in remembrance of you. We rule because of you, we always will be allies. . . . Remember that.

. . . We will never forget the ones that always made us happy . . . .

The Barons gave a small nod, then walked off. King Ghidorah thought about all the times they spent as friends, as children. They then looked up, and continued walking. They went up the same hill where they landed, and looked out amongst the planets, stars, and the sun that gleamed down on them. Even though they were miles away, they thought they could see the small dot called earth to their right.

They heard someone walk up and stand right next to them. They didn't take their eyes off the earth, but knew it was Queen Ghidorah.

. . . We heard you were leaving.

. . . To the human's planet, we return from home, and take the earth as our own, ruling over all monsters, and none shall stand in our way.

. . . We can come with you if you want us to.

The kings turned to them.

. . . No.

Why? We don't want you to feel pain anymore.

The pain we will feel is ours to endure, our battles to fight, our foes to face, our graves we will lay in.

We can fight together, and we can lay in the graves next to each other.

Our fathers always had our backs, they were the ones who stood up for us, sacrificed for us, and stood on the line for us. We had never been alone before, and what happened five years ago showed us how weak we are, and that we hold back every strike . . . but not anymore. No matter how much agony we feel, we will feel it together. No Matter if We're Seperate, No Matter Where We Are, No Matter Who We Are, We Are Brothers, We Are Together, We Are . . . One.

King Ghidorah slowly turned, stared at the earth, then took off, flying at an incredible speed, through the darkness of space, past the stars, and back to earth. With sorrowful eyes, Queen Ghidorah watched them leave, and did not turn away until they could not see them anymore, but wished they could, one last time.

November twenty third, two thousand twenty three, four a.m., Gotengo Research Center. It had been three weeks since Ghidorah disappeared from the earth, but satellites showed that they are coming back, from space. Dr. Owens and Lennox were in the elevator, going straight to the basement to tell the boss about what was going on. The doors opened, and the doctors stepped out. They both looked up at the Roaring Heaven. People weren't working on it anymore, instead there was a line of soldiers to their right, all wearing flight suits. The doctors walked along the line, and the men did not bat an eye at them, their only focus was on the Atragon.

They all heard a door open, and Kaspar walked out. He was wearing black pants, and shirt; a black and red trench coat, boots, and gloves; red shoulder pads, and a black and red general's hat, with the emblem of the machine on it.

He walked along the line of men, stood in front of them, and said: "Today, you will no longer be trainees. Today, you will be soldiers. Today, you will follow my every lead, and fight for everyone on this planet. No longer will they be afraid of the Titans anymore, they will no longer run from the Titans anymore. Instead the Titans will run from us, we will be the ones who strike fear in the hearts of the monsters. We will be the ones to save every man, woman, and child from the beasts that threaten to take our world from us. . . . They will look up to the skies . . . they will hear our battle cry . . . they will hear us charging towards them . . . they will hear the engines roar . . . they will see us soar through a thousand worlds to hunt them all . . . they shall witness . . . the flight, of, the, ATRAGON."

All the men cheered, put on their helmets, and climbed aboard the Roaring Heaven. Kaspar watched as they all went in and to their stations, holding his hands behind his back. Today, he will show the world that there is no need to be afraid, they will not fear anything that is bigger than them, they will help take a stand against the Titans, for they have met their match - he will make his father and grandfather proud.

"Mr. Atragon," Remington suddenly said, and the boss turned his head towards him. "Our scientists have gotten information that King Ghidorah is coming back here, and it is estimated they will be landing in Seattle."

"So I have heard," Kaspar said. " . . . That is where we will show the world what we are capable of doing."

"Sir," Frederick said, "we are not sure if this will fly or not, we have not tested anything on it."

" . . . What problems will that cause us? It will fly . . . it will fight . . . and it will kill every last Titan that ever lived on this world. Tell me, Monarch . . . what will you do when your family is dying on the ground, while the monsters reign the planet? It is time . . . to test fate."

With no hesitation, Kaspar walked up the ladder, and into the machine. Seeing as there was nothing they could do now, the two doctors got back in the elevator, and went up to the surface. The captain sat down in the cockpit, other crew members sat below him, at their computers, and three people at the front, ready to take control.

"Fly us to the wall, and drill us out," ordered Kaspar. "Seattle is our destination, that is where we will present ourselves, and power to the world, and they will all watch as we fly our way to victory. Our first target is . . . KING GHIDORAH."

The three pilots took out keys, inserted them, and turned. Fire burned in the back, and the pilots pulled the controls towards them, the machine slowly lifting itself off the ground. . . . But then silence came. Power went off, darkness fell, the machine back on the ground. It was dead as the grave, inactivity filled the large underground facility. Had failure come? No, it couldn't have . . . it couldn't, yet no signs of life from the engine showed . . . .

. . . Then there was a rumbling sound, and Kaspar lifted his head. The room shook as if there were an earthquake. Fire ignited from the back, the saws started to spin, and the drill as well. The pilots once again pulled the controls towards them, and the machine started to float. It inched forward, then picked up speed, and soon was traveling at almost a hundred miles an hour, and faster as it went on. The wind pressed against the crew's faces, but were focused on their task at hand.

The wall came into view, and Kaspar shouted: "ACTIVE THE DRILL."

One of the pilots pressed a button, and the drill and saws started to spin faster and faster. The ship flew faster, and came into impact with the wall, but instead of crashing, the drill helped it go through, and they were tunneling through the ground. The dirt slowed them down, but not enough. They tunneled until they were far enough away from the city, then panned upward, and blasted out of the ground, climbing higher and higher into the air, until they were above the clouds. Dirt fell off the machine as they flew, and the drill and saws slowly came to a stop - they needed to cool down for the battle ahead.

Now here they were, in the sky, Leopold Atragon's dream finally a reality. They were flying towards their first destination, to their first fight . . . to their destiny.
