Sorry for the crazy delay, work has been really tiring lately. Also sorry for the shitty chapter its my first fully original content in a long while.
It was raining softly outside and the sky was a dim gray. In the cafeteria the group was discussing what they had planned for the day since there were no classes. "I am going to be working on the anti-virus more." Jeremy said while eating. "Hey Jeremy, Can I talk to you about your materialization codes today?" Josh asked, "I want to see what your code actually does compared to the standard de-virtualization code." He added. "Okay. Let's meet up in my room after lunch then." Jeremy replied nodding a bit. "I plan on playing a video game because I don't get much time between Xana and school." Odd said grinning wide. Ulrich sort of remained silent. "I think I am going to help Jeremy with the anti-virus." Aelita said smiling softly.
On Lyoko in Sector Five, Xana floated in his chamber observing the load on the super computer, over the course of a few weeks he had managed to profile when the Superscan actually does a scan of the towers. "They will not see this coming." Xana said to himself activating a tower in the desert sector in between the scans done by the Superscan to avoid it being detected. `
Josh looked out the windows of the cafeteria. "This rain sucks. Especially since I think it might be the cause of this pulsing headache I have." Josh said. "That's rough." Odd said ,"Maybe you should go lay down instead of working with Aelita and Jeremy." He added getting up. The rest of the group got up shortly after him. "You're probably right Odd." Josh replied pushing his chair in.
Later that day Aelita and Jeremy were in his room working on the Anti-virus when they were interrupted by an emergency news bulletin. "A flood warning has been put into effect as the rain continues to fall. The meteorologists are puzzled by the storm's behavior of pulsing heavy downpours so be alert at all times for rising water." The news women said before the alert disappeared.
"Jeremy i am worried, what if this is an attack by Xana?" Aelita said, noticing how the storm was described. "It can't be, the superscan would have found an activated tower." Jeremy said shortly before Josh opened the door. "Is it normal for throbbing headaches to follow when down pours happen?" Josh said. "Well no, buy that doesn't mean it isn't possible." Jeremy answered, "Why do you ask." He added. "Because mine is and I think it might be my father's doing." Josh replied. "I just finished telling Aelita the superscan would have found something." Jeremy stated blankly. "True. Maybe it's nothing then." Josh said sitting down on Jeremy's bed. "So how's the anti-virus coming along?" He asked. "Not very well. We're still missing some major parts." Jeremy answered. "Also I started researching how to complete your digital structure to allow you to exist without the supercomputer as well." He added. "Thanks for the update." Josh said standing up before looking out the window. "Is it me or is the puddles out there getting a lot bigger?" Josh asked, pointing at one. "Hm The sewer system must not be able to take any more water." Aelita said.
On Lyoko, Xana activated the tower fully but changed his attack. He used the now intensified storm to generate ball lightning under his control, much more powerful than the ball of electricity in his first ever attack. (A.N. Xana Awakens Part 2 for reference) The balls began to actively hunt out the warriors with one heading straight towards Jeremy's window.
Jeremy, Aelita and Josh were still talking when the superscan finally went off. "Oh no, Xana's on the attack." Jeremy said jumping up. "Aelita, called Yumi, will get Odd and Ulrich on the way." He added. They all began to walk out of the room when suddenly one of the balls of lightning crashed through his window and the window in Odd and Ulrich's room causing them to run out of there room. "Everyone to the factory!" Josh yelled running towards the stairs. As they reached the ground floor they immediately noticed an issue. "The water is almost 15cm deep." Odd said stepping into it. "We won't be able to make it to the factory through the tunnel, we will have to go over land." He added and they all began to make their way there. "What if one of those balls touches the water? Won't we all be electrocuted?" Ulrich asked as they tried to run thru the flood waters. "Possibly, it would depend on the conductivity of this water." Jeremy answered. "So keep moving and we won't have to find out. Got it." Ulrich replied.
At the factory the water had been filling up the whole main floor completely submerging the elevator, thankfully the supercomputer and scanners were safe behind the elevator doors. "We will have to swim to the entrance by the boiler room." Jeremy said, motioning for the to follow his lead. The group managed to make it to the lab safely after a short time. "Get down to the scannera, it won't be long before Xana comes after us with those ball lightning again." He added sitting down at the computer.
The others went down to the scanner room where Jeremy virtualized them to lyoko. "The tower is due north of your location." Jeremy said before hearing a loud bang from the door behind him. "And hurry up the elevator door sounds like it could give way at any moment which would mean destruction of the whole system." He added.
On lyoko the group began to head towards the tower where five krabs waited for them. "You have a group of krabs waiting for you at the tower." Jeremy started seeing them on the map system. "Okay, we will handle them." Ulrich said as they began to near the they near the tower the Krabs began to shoot at them. Josh used his sword to block multiple lasers before he managed to jump up on top of one of them before destroying it. Ulrich dodged the lasers using his super sprint before also jumping onto one of the krabs and destroying it as well. Odd and Yumi were dealing with two krabs while the third Krab was attempting to force Aelita away from the group. "Josh go protect Aelita I will help Odd and Yumi with these two." Urlich said going to help them. Josh nodded before running towards Aelita. "Aelita run!" Josh said seeing the Krab cornering her, knowing Xana must be planning on trying to steal more of her memory. Meanwhile the Krab had managed to hit Josh while he was distracted trying to warn Aelita. "Josh one more hit and your devirtualized." Jeremy warned noticing his lifepoints fall. "Okay, I will try." Josh said running towards the Krab. Meanwhile Yumi, Odd and Ulrich destroyed the other two krabs and were heading to help protect Aelita. Aelita ran towards them as the Krab continued to fire towards Josh. "Aelita, head for the tower." Odd said, "I will follow along to make sure Xana doesn't pull a fast one on us.". He added running with her towards the tower.
Back in the lab the electric ball had managed to make it into the lab and descended towards Jeremy. "Xana managed to get the ball of lightning into the lab, if I am knocked out I can't start the return to the past, so hurry up!" Jeremy yelled running towards the ladder down towards the scanner room to try and escape. On lyoko Aelita had made it to the tower and was on her way to the top where she placed her hand on the console and deactivated the tower.
Back in the lab the ball lighting dissolved away into nothing, Jeremy went back up to the lab and sat down, "Okay, I am launching the return to the past." Jeremy said typing and entering the program, just as he was about to hit enter part of the elevator door, went flying past him due to the water pressure behind it causing the lab to begin to flood. Jeremy quickly hit enter as the room began to flood hoping he wouldn't be too late.
The return to the past brought time back to the beginning of the day in the cafeteria. Josh looked out the window. "I guess it's just going to be raining today." Josh said. "Yea. Guess so." Jeremy said thinking, "I will have to do some work on the super scan I guess." he added. "Yea, probably just leave it scanning constantly instead of on a timer." Josh stated as the group finished eating and all went to go about their day they had planned.
